Genji Shimada     Talon can't exactly afford to act openly like this very often. Or for very long. They've got an entire small town in Kansas surrounded, with teams covering the entire border and one moving within the town itself as if hunting, or pursuing, someone or something. Some move on the rooftops, making use of personal jumpjet packs to travel, while others sweep the streets, moving past a terrified populace that has no clue what's going on. It's a fair tactic for keeping things on lockdown. Even the police are smart enough to just bunker down and wait for the military to show up.

The soldiers have already completed their raid, after all. F5 Dynamics, a research lab on the outskirts of town specializing in engineering and particle physics, is on full sirens-blaring alarm. They had yet to publically announce the new power technology they've been working on, but word tends to come down the grapevine when you have ears in the right places, and now all the specs and research data on a potentially useful new portable generator has been loaded onto a single large thumb drive, one the mercs had intended to extract with ASAP.

They did not count on the presence of a British pixie with guns and far too much energy for her own good. They were not able to stop her in time. And now she has slipped their net.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Said Pixie will have assistance soonish. These Warpgates make travel so much easier. No more continental flights, no more wrangling the logistics of trying to smuggle the Crusader suit across the ocean, none of that. Reinhardt's already suited up as he arrives, and he arrives just short of reaching the facility while in full sprint. He's awfully fast himself for such a big guy, even if he doesn't have a snowball's chance of matching Tracer's speed.

He can't help but chuckle nostalgically during all this. Randomly showing up to interlope in someone's wrongdoing, that sounds like Lena alright.

"We will handle this!" He says as he manages a running leap across the police barricade, no doubt terrifying the poor cops while he runs down the street, trying to avoid bowling over vehicles and pasting civilians.
Kotone Yamakawa Warp gates did make life better and worst all at the same time. This is one of the time's it's better she's able to extit from the gate and she's also sprinting after Reinhardt but she looks perfectlty normal until she vaults over the police lines lands on the blacktop with enough force to crack it and breaks off into a run at high speed keeping up with Wilhelm.

<<So these Talon guys /again/? What are they Hydra?! Or Nod?>>
Guest Vivio     What had been a random choice of location, to practice her flying skills, now turns fortuitous as Vivio hears the unintended public transmission. She figuratively skids to a halt and floats, turning to the small plush bunny that had been flying along side her, "What was that?" The bunny waves its pointed plush arms before turning in a direction. Vivio's eyes go a little wide, "Oh? Really?" She turns to look in the same direction, before receiving another transmission. She responds, "I think I'm near there... I'll help!" She angles herself in the direction of the first transmission's source, before blasting off lock a rocket, a trail of iridescent light following her.

It doesn't take too long for Vivio to arrive at the Kansas town, slowing and heading down towards the streets for a better look. Apparently there are lots of bad guys around, though most seem to just be surrounding the town. That's okay, she just flies over them. Coming to a stop above an intersection, Vivio glances around trying to find this so called 'Tracer' who she's never met. That kind of makes it hard. Maybe it's that guy running down the street in some heavy-looking power armour. Vivio turns to her Device questioningly, the plush bunny shaking its head before jabbing its arm in Reinhardt's direction a couple of times. Vivio ohhhhhhhs then grins. She floats down to softly land on the ground, before waving to the large armoured man approaching, "Mister Wilhelm, yes? I'm Vivio Takamachi. I'm here to help!" Oh look, Kotone is here too. Vivio waves at her as well, before starting to run to keep up with them, "So, any idea what's happening?"
Sanary Rondel Who even gave those guys access to that channel? How careless. Sanary lets out a low sigh as she comes to a stop in the quiet Kansas town, a heavy gunaxe draped over one shoulder with a gnarled staff held against her back by a rope. She's not entirely certain what's going on even now with the whole town on semi-lockdown, but from the looks of it?

Probably not something particularly good. Alas, the healer's got her own job to do, and if it means making sure the town stays locked down, then she's going to do it!

That doesn't mean she'll just accept unnecessary casualties and damage, of course. When she sees Reinhardt barreling down the street with Kotone and Vivio in tow, the healer charges into the street right into his path while waving her free hand to try and get them to stop with her gunaxe trailing behind her. "Wha...? Hey, hey, slow it down! You're gonna freak everyone out!"

So what if there's a massive numbers and size difference between them? Sanary's still going to scold them just the same!
Fate Testarossa To Kansas, then. Fate Testarossa has never been to Kansas, but if there is anything the girl knows, it is that pleasing her mother means everything. Perhaps, then, the thought of a nice new kind of generator will do the trick in bringing a smile to Precia Testarossa's face.

This is not the case, and though Fate is wholly unaware that her efforts amount to pouring buckets of water into a seive, that still doesn't explain the rapidly approaching thunderstorm, that had come out of nowhere. Talon may have gotten their prize; or perhaps they had it, only to lose it to someone else... But when an opportunity arises, it would be foolish to turn it down.

With a CLAP of thunder, masking the incoming signal of a Dimensional Transfer, Fate Testarossa, and her +2 arrive on a rooftop, black axe held gingerly in hand, Bardiche announces: "TRANSFER COMPLETE, SIR." as Arf cracks her knuckles.

"Hey. Hey. Think we can stop for a snack on the way back?" The wolf woman does ask, "You DO owe me after last time." Fate sighs quietly at her Familiar, scarlet eyes glancing back at the other party brought along via the teleport spell.
Stygian Mirror     Fate's +2, in this case, is completed by Stygian Mirror.

Momentarily disoriented by the teleportation, she takes a few seconds to catch her bearings, glance around, and then look back towards Arf and Fate. "That's... actually pretty impressive. How far did you say this made us travel in less than a minute?" Creation kind of lacks these sorts of spells, or at least they're rare enough Mirror hasn't encountered one yet. Want to go somewhere? You better get a horse, a ship, or if you're really lucky one of those awful barely taped together airships people still fly sometimes.

"... some food wouldn't be that bad an idea," she eventually adds, agreeing with Arf. And really, the little blonde girl looks like she could use some ice cream herself, or something equally cheerful.

Yeah, odd thing to see an Abyssal thing.

Eyes cast down at the action, she doesn't leap in yet, trying to take the sights in first. It seems pretty clearcut-- oh, is that Sanary over there? ... and she's charging in alone. That can't be a good idea.
Guest Tracer     And then there's the reason you're here. She's on a rooftop herself, some distance away. And what she's carrying, as weel. The object isn't much larger than a softball, and is primarily the containment for the energized particles contained within. The containment keeps them from burning out rapidly, as they're wont to do when exposed to the open air. It also seems like it could be hooked up to.. something, perhaps to make use of said charged particles. They also glow quite brightly, so the so-called theif has it tucked into her jacket.

She's hiding for now, behind a large air conditioning unit, on one of those rooftops. The talon agents aren't close yet, but their methodical searching is bound to turn her up, sooner or later. She can't fight them all herself, head on. So, she just needs to use some creativity. Wait things out, till the Yank military arrives. Then she can slip out and deposit her payload back at the lab. She doesn't want to keep it, after all. She fully intends on giving it back. "Blimey. Wonder how they even heard about this place, to start?"
Genji Shimada     Assorted shouts come from the police line as REINHARDT and KOTONE jump it - and the same goes for the Talon squad covering that section of the town perimeter. Unlike the Police, whose shouts indicate mixed opinions (that mostly amount to 'Let's let the illegal Overwatch operative and his smaller friend handle the illegal terrorist soldiers') and a hesitance to get involved, the troops in silver and black have no confusion whatsoever on what to do. They open fire immediately.

VIVIO will discover another problem; specifically, that Talon is smart enough to watch the skies. There are certain heroes in this world (and the Multiverse!) capable of flight, after all. As she's coming down, there's a shouted warning or two from the defensive line, and when it looks like she's heading for Reinhardt? They open fire on her too.

The Talon troops aren't close enough to hear what SANARY is saying, especially with their guns opening up on the giant german, his cyborg companion, and the arcane artillery that has just joined them. But they can see that she appears to have stepped out to confront all three. So, fortunately for her, the axe-using wonder is not taking any gunfire!

Meanwhile, lightning strikes out of a clear sky. Sort of. Not really. But the thunderous arrival of MIRROR and FATE has not gone unnoticed. One of the jump troops on the rooftops brings up his automatic to point at them for a moment... but then, lowers it again, and reaches up to flip a switch on the side of his helmet. He transmits on the same band Mirror will have been given to communicate with the Talon forces during their last mission. "Unknown operatives, do you copy? This is a Talon operation. I'm pretty sure I recognize you from the combat feeds on our last offworld mission. On the assumption you're nonhostile, we are looking for an insane British woman going by 'Tracer'. She wears a yellow track suit and high-tech vest, and is armed with a pair of automatic pistols. She's carrying the prototype, and a thumb drive with the data we came here to take. We don't have a lot of time before the military gets here."

The British madwoman in question does not get long to wait around. One of the troops with a jump pack rockets into the air at just the right angle to catch sight of Lena. "This is Search 3! I have eyes on the target!" All members of the search team are now converging on her location, from the streets and the rooftops!

Over local radio, Genji's voice speaks up. "This is Genji. I'm at F5 Dynamics now. There are still a few Talon here, but I should be able to handle it and protect the employees. Try to help Tracer. The researchers say she snatched the prototype and research Talon was after." Hearing that, several of the Talon look at each other, conflicted. But for now they decide to stick to the plan, rather than fall back.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     REinhardt appreciates the cops giving him a little slack, and he doesn't waste time in returning the favor either.

He brings his arm up, projecting his shield as he motions for Kotone and VIvio to take cover behind him. "Get behind me, young ladies, I insist! Don't worry about me, these bullets are useless against my armor." He says confidently, before he begins to storm the enemy ranks with a steady jog.

As he approaches Sanary, Reinhardt tries to shoo her away. "Miss, I highly recommend you stay clear of this! Talon operatives are not too kind towards civilians!" He says, then looks up at the thunder. Doesn't matter. The key priority here is trying to get to Tracer and protecting her from Talon mercs, that's all that matters.
Stygian Mirror     Mirror has many questions. Like 'what's a British' 'what's a thumb drive' 'prototype for what'. The words 'we don't have time' however take priority on this, and so she figures that she'll just wing it. Surely all three of those things are going to be a case of 'you'll know when you see it'.

The fox-eared etc. etc. white-haired woman turns to Fate again, saying: "The Talon operatives are after the same thing your mother is. It might be wise to feign working with them, collect payment, and then collect your mother's prize. Going against both parties at the same time wouldn't be smart."

With her radio now, presuming Fate has no objections, she answers the Talon criminals with: "Got it. We'll see what we can do." That should work well enough.

Oh, to Fate again: "They mentioned a thumb drive with data and some sort of prototype. And a 'British' woman that stole them and is currently on the run. They've located her-- look for Talon troops converging."

And that is what Mirror does. Unlike Fate, she can't fly, so she'll be rooftop hopping her way towards the location outlined by Search 3, keeping her eyes open for any non-Talon armored folks, and her ears for odd noises.
Guest Vivio     Vivio's Barrier Jacket can take a few bullets at range easily enough. But it seems it doesn't have to as Reinhardt produces a shield to protect them from the weapons fire. She nods in understanding to the older man, beginning to follow behind him.

As Sanary gets in their way, Vivio leans out from behind Reinhardt's armor to respond, "I think the heavily armed soldiers and weapons fire are freaking them out enough. A few people running down the street isn't going to change much!" Vivio is pretty sure she's seen Sanary before, so probably guesses correctly that her intent isn't friendly.

Before Vivio can decide on how to deal with the obstacle, she notices the thunderstorm quick rolling in. Last time she didn't make the connection. This time she does. Vivio looks up at the storm, "Nnnngh, this isn't good..."

Looking back down again, Vivio's attention is caught by her Device. The bunny is waving frantically pointing in a direction. Vivio looks, spotting the Talon search teams in the distance starting to all head in the same direction. She points, saying to the others, "Hey! I think they found her!" As brave as Sanary is, she can't really stop all of them. Especially as Vivio dashes out from behind Reinhardt's cover, moving fast as she leaps up the side of a building and onto the rooftops. She starts to give chase, hoping the Talon troops lead her to the person they're here to help.
Fate Testarossa "SIR. RECEIVING TRANSMISSION." Bardiche announces smoothly, the Device's deep and resonant mechanical voice pulling Fate's attention from her Familiar, and 'passenger'. "Put it through." The blonde decides, expression unchanging as the Talon message comes through, by simple virtue of arriving with Mirror. That helps, though she allows the Abyssal to answer for them.

The vague plan seems a little underhanded... But she is not here to play nice, or by rules. The twin-tailed blonde nods, fingers curling a bit more tightly around her Device, now that she has a proper direction. Look for 'Tracer'. Yellow tracksuit. Vest. Pistols.

Fate and Arf start to move as well. Roof to roof, breaking off, splitting up to cover more ground. The blonde whispers something to her staff, and with a flare of golden light, several spheres of gold rocket off in every direction, intending to canvas the town, data displaying to a hologram screen appearing before her in a Wide Area Search to try and better put her on a course for the British speedster.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is thinking to keep moving fast givne what's going on she pauses at Vivio and she rplies to them.

"Other than it looks like a merc outfit named Talon that I have fought before I just know them rolling in on a town like this isn't right."

She hears SAnray but she's still moving as she does not wnt ot slow down she's got to not slowdown. She's not had a moment to deploy drones today but things are heating up0 as she comes under fire, and she now puts her body to its full use as she starts to evade the fire but isn'table to counter fire givenshe's focusuing on not getting shot.

"Hey boys! Don't you know what happened last time? You should find your self a better group to work for!"
Sanary Rondel The lack of gunfire being sent Sanary's way is much appreciated! Not that she can show it just yet, of course, since she's still facing way more people than she can reasonably handle at once. The healer's confident, but she's not (that) stupid. And from the looks of it... They're not exactly here to help the Talon squad with their own job.

Then again, she's seen Vivio before. She probably shouldn't have expected anything else. Plus, the girl /does/ have a point. "... True. But if you all just get out of here, then-hey, I didn't mean like that!" Aaaand Vivio's taking off after those Talon troops on the rooftops, and Kotone's speeding off to god knows where. Well.

At least that makes it easier for her to focus on Reinhardt. "All the more reason for you let us do our jobs, then." And with that, the healer brandishes her axe and fires off a volley of icy shots at the massive German's shield. She needs to know what she's up against, after all, and it's probably better than trying to get right in face with the weapon for now!

"The sooner we get what we want, the sooner we'll be out of here and things'll be safe here again!"
Guest Tracer     "Shite!" The 'madwoman' knows getting pinned down and surrounded, even with her mobility, is pretty much the end of the line. She takes off, but not before whipping out her pistols, and spraying a burst of fire off at her airborne opponent. She takes a running jump off a building which.. it's a good 20 meters to the other side. From three stories up, even. But, if there's one thing she has to her credit, it's her mobility. The device she's wearing (and not the one she swiped, mind) glows more strongly, and a pale blue aura seems to envelop her.

Once, twice, three times.

And not only has she cleared that sizable gap, she also has a good lead. The device on her chest stops glowing, and starts to hum as it recharges, the woman counting to herself in her head. One-one thousand. Two-one thousand. Three-one thousand. Once she hits four, and her device seems to boot back up, she seems to blink entirely out of existance. And ends up, right back where she started. She proceeds in the opposite direction, now, as she gives her tail the slip.
Genji Shimada     Between the crazy ax girl in the street and the two new rooftop arrivals whom the hapless Talon goons have no reason to distrust, the troops on the outer perimeter are content to take a back seat and try to prevent Tracer from escaping. The ones on the rooftops, on the other hand, have sighted their prey and are closing in with one jumpjet-assisted leap after another. The troop that spotted her goes down in a fusillade of gunfire, tumbling to a rooftop and lying still. But aside from him, five men in all are up on the rooftops with the former Overwatch pilot, and as the rest draw closer, they fan out, trying to flank her in their pursuit. This proves to be their biggest mistake, as she clears a gap with a quick triple-blink, and after they move to follow, she's suddenly gone. Back the way they came. The mistake buys Tracer a sizeable lead!

Down below on the street, many more are moving around the buildings to keep below her, making it a tricky prospect to descend to street level... but at the same time, they don't have Lena Oxton's unique gifts. Unlike the jump troops, who can at least see her trick happen and start to change direction, they don't know she's done it until word is radioed down from above. Thus, the ground chase team falls even further behind, and Tracer now has a clear path to the ground if she wants it.

Of course, that doesn't stop the jumpjet troops from opening fire, even at a distance.

FATE's Wide Area Search almost certainly gets her a more accurate fix on Tracer's location than 'sounds of gunfire' and 'radioed intel from soldiers'. It would be very easy to join the pursuit right now.
Stygian Mirror     Mirror's eyes lock on Tracer. Then Tracer just... appears much further ahead? Clearly that must be the target, because she moves nothing like the Talon troops, isn't wearing what they wear, and that's a lot of glowing. She pursues!

She grabs her sword, it clicks. Essence pours into it and she points it forward like a hookshot. The upper half of the blade shoots, screaming at supersonic speeds towards Tracer.

The sword slams into a roof, digging into it. Tracer is gone. Mirror is dumbfounded. That wasn't speed, she'd have seen it. That was something else entirely. Teleportation? It's the obvious guess. But where?

She glances back. Her sensitive ears pick up her movements, now accustomed to them. All the way back? She frowns. Her sword retracts, and suddenly flares with a long, visible plume of dark grey and black Essence, seemingly extending the blade's size and length three times.

She swings, from a significant distance to Tracer.

The Creation-Slaying Holocaust Blade sends a massive shockwave of black light forward-- anything that is considered "part of the scenery" between her and Tracer is cut through. Houses and trees are bisected the entire length of the slash. To Tracer, though, it's... significantly less threatening, it's just a fancy slash from a distance. A very telegraphed one, too.

Predictably, Mirror's Caste Mark appears on her forehead, a black circle with eight sun rays around it. It bleeds very slightly.
Fate Testarossa Sooner or later, one of those search beacons finds what Fate is looking for. ... Or more specifically: who she is looking for.

As soon as Tracer's location pings a positive match- Fate has it brought up on the creen in front of her. Crimson eyes watch as the woman takes her grand leap, pins the landing... And then vanishes. The blonde's brow knots, as she narrows her eyes at the sight, Bardiche pinging low and apologetic for a second's beat, before recalibrating the search and... Finds her again. Back where she had begun to take that leap.

"That's... More than fast." The girl murmurs to herself, lips pursing. Quietly she harkens back to her training. Many long months, into years with Linith, perfecting her strengths. A slow breath, and the girl shifts her hold on her axe

Can I be faster?

It's the lone thought that drips through her mind as she suddenly kicks into gear, blazing from the skies, contrails of golden light forming visibly in her wake as...

"SCYTHE MODE."

Her Device's announcement is sole warning, clearly working in a pincer with the Abyssal and coming in on the other side with a blinding, blurring speed as she lashes out with a single slash of the magically formed scythe, intent to catch Tracer from a blind angle with her own inhuman speed, paying no mind to the Talon men at all.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     "Why do you think we came here?!" Reinhardt asks, before he swats at Sanary with his hammer. He doesn't want to hurt her, but he will if she gives him no choice in the matter. He calls out to Kotone and Vivio, "Deal with the mercenaries, I will handle this one!"

Oh boy, Sanary might be regretting this as she has all eight-hundred pounds of rocket knight bearing on her. Reinhardt's hammer swings broadly at the eye patched wannabe paladin when he gets in range, and that hammer has a good amount of reach on it too.
Kotone Yamakawa Maybe Sanary had a point but she's being shot at and she doesnm't want ot get shot she's not going to stop /going/ fast. She's going to also start working on gettingv a comm channel set up but she will take cover behind Reinhardt.

"Don't worry about me too much about me."

she amdit as she now works to try and set up the comm channel that Wilhem asked her to make but then comes the mercs and things arte just getting into a cray fire fight but the mercs have stopped shooting. She's now trying to find where the mercs have gone she's got to deal with them. WIth that she's going to try to get to them as bes she's able and she's pulling an odd thig that looks like some scifi gun in her off hand, but she's got a heavy pistol in the other as well as she's now trying to find the mercs. She'll check for comm signals as the best way to track where they are.
Sanary Rondel In retrospect, facing the guy that's roughly triple her size probably wasn't Sanary's smartest idea. Sure, she's faced monsters before, but those didn't have a person's brain guiding their movements!

"I thought you were here to help out!" Taking a few more pot shots at that shield, the healer grimaces and lowers her axe slightly as the hammer comes into play. The stupidly big, surprisingly fast hammer. She fires a few shots at it to try and slow it down just enough before deftly...

... Running right into it. Although she's got enough sense to try and sidestep the weapon, it's not quite enough to avoid getting hit with the meaty end of the hammer, and the healer goes flying back with a sickening crunch! Luckily, it's mostly her right arm and side that's mangled by that, and she does have the power of healing to keep herself going.

"Heh... N-not bad. What's your name?" She's actually grinning as she advances on Reinhardt, trying to use that moment of banter and feigned confidence to hide the fact that HOLY HELL she's pretty sure some of her arm is on backwards now. She won't let herself go down with just that, though, and Sanary puts some power into her left arm for an extra power boost before charging in to aim a big slash at Reinhardt in return!
Reinhardt Wilhelm     NNngh! Reinhardt's suit sparks with a shallow scratch from the slash, and the knight grunts with both annoyance and pain as he presses the assault.

"I am here to help! And I am Reinhardt WIlhelm, defender of innocents, agent of Overwatch, and ENEMY to Talon everywhere!" The massive knight bellows, going into full-on aggression mode as he storms his way towards Sanary. That hammer blow is no joke, as his blow nearly takes that arm off. It's a miracle it's still even on, yes.

"I will show you mercy if you wish to flee, with no ill will towards you." He promises, but it may be a bit late for that now. Either way, he tries to drive Sanary away with another, more broadly swung blow that should be way easier for Sanary to evade.

That hammer has felled countless Talon operatives and other wrongdoers in the past, one wouldn't be blamed for wanting to take the better part of valor and bail while Reinhardt's still playing nice.
Guest Vivio     Vivio runs from rooftop to rooftop, apparently with no obstacle if the lack of gunfire is any indication. She clears a large gap between buildings, her magic enhancing her speed and jumping capabilities.

Judging by the movements of the Talon soldiers, it definitely seems like they've found Tracer... Or at least her general location, since they seem a little confused. But it's a lead and Vivio follows it!

Skidding to a halt at the edge of a roof, Vivio glances around. Tracer must be nearby... And then she spots it, the large shockwave of black energy ripping through buildings nearby. And from the other direction, a familiar trail of gold light. It allows Vivio to track down Tracer and sure enough, she spots the Brit not too far away.

Vivio is fast, but if she's going to get there to help she needs a boost! She shifts her footing, ready to push off the roof. She begins, "Jet-" Vivio vanishes in a flash of iridescent light. She then reappears between Fate and Tracer, shortly before the lightning mage connects with her strike, "-Step!"

A hastily formed Round Shield takes the initial blow of Fate's scythe. But quickly cracks and shatters into light, the remaining strength of the attack striking Vivio and sending her flying into a nearby roof. The impact causes numerous tiles to shatter and slide off the roof. As for Vivio, the expression of pain on her face suggested that hurt, but apart from some scorch marks on her Barrier Jacket, she looks relatively unscathed.

Recovering to stand on the sloped roof, Vivio looks at the other Mage with a sad smile, "Sorry Fate... I really have to stop you this time." Vivio then bursts forward, darting through the air to close the distance to Fate and unleash a magic-enhanced round kick at her.
Sanary Rondel "Sanary Rondel. Captain of the Confederacy, healer. Cool name." Sanary keeps grinning despite the pain that's still lingering in that badly-healed arm, digging that axe in as much as she can before backing off. The size difference is something she actually needs to keep in mind, especially with Reinhardt's gear to contend with!

"If you're really a defender of people who need help... Then you should join us!" Sanary's a little more used to the speed of his swing the second time around, pumping magic into her legs this time to hurl herself high into the air. It's a little too much power, though, so she's got a little more air time than she'd like.

"... Er. Confederacy 'us', not Talon. I don't really know those guys!" The gunaxe glows a faint white as she dives back downwards from her delayed landing, aiming another bigger (yet even more predictable) ice-imbued slash at the hammer-wielder. She'll get used to doing that eventually!
Reinhardt Wilhelm     REinhardt privately makes a grimace. A bit late for that one, kiddo. He shrugs a shoulder, before he feels ice running up his arm. "I have already cast my lot with the Union, I am afraid to say!" He says, trying to free his arm with little success. He struggles with the frozen limb before he manages to get some of the ice to crack with a MANLY FLEX.

Meanwhile, he lunges towards Sanary, attempting to charge at her with a shoulder-dash from hell. That kind of mass and speed is not something to take lightly.
Guest Tracer     Tracer doesn't get much time to catch her breath. Mirror's attacks definitely get her attention. She doesn't hesitate to chastize the Abyssal, either. "Oi, you dumb git! People /live/ 'round here, you know?" She does take note of Vivio and Fate, and gives the former a quick wave and a salute, before she dashes off again. If this yobber with a sword chasing her now is just going to tear up the town, then she has no intention of staying in city limits.

Even if that's not exactly playing to her own advantages.
Genji Shimada     STYGIAN MIRROR has some kind of grudge against scenery. This grudge is resulting in noticeable property damage - and is probably the first thing to genuinely create panic in the crowd. Some of those buildings probably had people in them; in addition to needing to be gone before the military shows up, there is now a timer to resolve this so that emergency services can do their jobs!

Kotone, meanwhile, will find the mercs easy to track. Mostly because the ones surrounding the town are... still surrounding the town. They haven't disappeared; they're just holding their fire unless directly threatened or they spot Tracer. However, reading their comms will allow KOTONE to track the ones /in/ the town, who are currently still trying to catch up to TRACER. There's a couple squads on the ground, and still five jetpack troops hopping from roof to roof, all in pursuit of the former Overwatch agent. Between that, and the fight that's broken out on the rooftops, the cyborg shouldn't have much trouble reaching the troops within town.
Sanary Rondel "That so...? That's a shame." Sanary sounds disappointed as she flings herself back and away from Reinhardt next, gawking just a bit at the MANLY FLEX ARM FREEDOM TECHNIQUE.

She needs to practice that one day.

"All they care about is keeping the strong in power... And screwing over the weak!" Drawing magical energy out of herself and into the air in front of her, a gray car-sized mass starts forming in front of Sanary as Reinhardt comes hurtling towards her. She's not keen on taking that massive tackle head on, but with that giant conjured up thing standing between her and him?

There's still no way she's going to stay right there. It's just a big magic pile of shaving cream-like foam with no real bulk to it! She can at least use it to try and obscure his vision, though, before diving aside and getting nailed in the knee. The healer cries out sharply, spins in midair a few times rapidly, then skids on the ground a bit. She's still not quite out of the fight, though, as she divides her efforts between trying to heal her leg back into working shape and firing an explosive heat laser towards Reinhardt in passing.
Reinhardt Wilhelm     Reinhardt sees an opportunity, and he takes it. He slams his hammer towards what he thinks is Sanary, bringing the hammer right down upon the healer with a loud grunt. "RRRAAAGH!"

As he brings his HAMMER DOWN, the ground shakes and shatters, before Reinhardt realizes he's been had. All he's hit is the car-decoy thing, and he looks in confusion before he takes an EYE LASER to the chest. Yelping in pain, the German staggers back and pants for breath. "Ggggh! Methinks the lady doth protest..." Cough cough. "Too much..." She really got him good with that hit, as Reinhardt's breath grows slow and ragged.
Sanary Rondel That worked better than expected! Jerking herself away from the hammer coming down even near her, Sanary notes Reinhardt's staggering and takes the opportunity to...

Sit back up and get her leg in relatively-working condition with a hastily conjured magic-cast around that knee. Part of her is also hoping that the obvious non-attack might make him more receptive to her!

"Protest... What now? Uh." As long as she doesn't let herself get distracted, anyway. "... So what's it gonna be, Reinhardt? You're a strong one, and... And we need strong people like you." Although she's grinning at the massive knight, she's also having some trouble keeping that confident look on with the pain in her injured limbs. She glances towards the troops moving around the outskirts of the town and the movement on the rooftops, but turns her gaze back to Reinhardt quickly afterwards and...

... Pulls a card out of her coat. She tosses it over towards, although it doesn't quite go far enough. Damn air resistance! "... If you really want to help people, give me a call. I don't think we're catching up with any of them up there, anyway."
Stygian Mirror     "I know. I'm being careful!" Mirror replies, which is semi-true. She's being careful, in the sense the cuts shouldn't have killed anyone. Probably. There's only so much she can account for and huge chunks of houses being cut are still huge chunks of houses.

"I wouldn't have to aim so wide if you'd stay still, though!" A fact, too. Tracer has the lead, and frankly Mirror can't catch her. Not unless Tracer agrees to stand very still for a few moments, anyway. Mirror's not slow exactly but Tracer's got that... thing. Whatever it did. In terms of movement it's a class of its own.

That doesn't mean Mirror won't try though.

Mirror reaches into one of her gauntlets, pulling a throwing knife out. She jams it in her shoulder, as the leather, bone and Soulsteel weave of her tunic actually parts way to allow it. Blood oozes out and immediatly spirals in the air, into her free hand.

Five copies of the knife are made, out of blood and black Essence. She hurls them, all for Tracer. The weapons are as solid as a standard steel knife, but glow with a sickly green and grey aura. Those that hit inflict standard throwing knife damage, but additionally attempt to inflict illness, while eating at armor and flesh like acid.
Fate Testarossa The sudden impact, clash, and jarring halt was not what Fate had intended for her stroke. Still, she's halted abruptly by the sudden round shield interposed between the blonde and her intended targer. But Fate carries the motion through. The sound the tiny blonde makes is somewhere between a grunt of exertion and a growl of being denied her prey, as Bardiche crackles, flaring brighter until the shield shatters and Vivio is battered aside.

But the intent is complete. It is distracted Fate, pausing to make sure she didn't HURT the other girl tood badly. But this isn't something shown in her expression. Tired, hurt, eyes stare down in silence for a moment, as Bardiche vents a small puff of steam. She quickly flits her gaze off after Tracer, lips thinning into a frown.

"... I asked you before to stay out of my way." She says, tone soft, yet grim. "Please don't do that again, or I'll have to hurt you."

It is a moot point though as the heterochromatic blonde launches into that kick. Fate's speed is inhuman. Her reflexes are quick. But even as she moves to evade, the best she can do is roll with the blod, grunting in pain as her own glowing golden shield raises to counter the strike. But soaking contact is not her strength. Avoiding it wholesale is. And that means when the shield cracks, Vivio's boot connects with mage's midsection, making her grasp her side with a grunt of pain, as her Barrier Jacket is forced to soack the impact. But that's when a distraction arises...

"Don't worry, Fate... I'll HANDLE THAT FOR YOU!"

That was a different voice. Specifically belonging to the gigantic red wolf that lands on Vivio's roof with a growl, flexing very long, sharp, non-canine looking claws, before Arf POUNCES, intent to maul Vivio and keep her off Fate, while the blonde jinks back to resume giving chase to Tracer.

"... Sorry." The blonde mumbles, holding her side all the while.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa keeps a map of where the mercs outside town arebut there's one in town and she's tracking them down by follwing thier comms. There's a whole lot of them after ht former Overwatch agent and if she's a friend of the Wandering German Knight? Well then that's enough for her to lend Tracer a hand. She's going to bound after the ones that are making for the ones that are directly chaing tracer. She checks her gear and leaps up on to one of the roofts, be it in a single jump or severla but soon she's up there and chaing down the jet pack users. She smirks for a moment as she brings up the Mater Manipulator and moves to end up in hand and will disploy what seems to be a strange foam like sunstance which will if it connects with the jet pack troops? Restain them and is very hard to break. Thankfully one air can pass through it and two it's quite studry enough to dapen the impact from a fall. Kotone has found far too many uses for freezer foam.
Guest Vivio     Vivio lands upon a roof again after her kick. She listens to Fate before responding, "It's okay-" Before she has much chance to say anything else, Arf makes herself known. Vivio knows the voice all too well and isn't surprised that Fate's familiar is also here.

Vivio is pounced and falls onto her back. But before Arf can get too much mauling in, Vivio plants both her feet into the large wolf's chest, pushing off with all her strength to send Arf flying.

Vivio expects she doesn't have long before Arf recovers and returns to strike once more. She quickly stands, moving a hand to her chest where Arf's claws had cut throw her magic defenses, her Barrier Jacket, and drawn some blood beneath. It's painful, but Vivio has felt worse. Despite everything going on, Vivio picks up on Fate's last word, something she's heard the young girl say a number of times before in their previous encounter. This time Vivio says back, "It's okay... I forgive you." She has an inkling about why Fate is doing these things, having heard stories of her own mother's past. But there's not much Vivio can do about it right now. All she can do is deal with the current situation. "I just hope you can forgive me..."

Vivio raises her hand in Fate's direction, calling out, "Hoop Bind." Several rings of magic appear around Fate, only giving her a moment to react before rapidly shrinking to try and catch her, binding her in place.
Guest Tracer     The knives are, honestly, for Tracer.. a bit easier to dodge than those building cutting sword strikes. She blinks in a zig-zag pattern, glancing over her shoulder, as she leaps a couple of rooftops, and then downward, onto the street itself. From somewhat open but difficult to navigate rooftops, to more confined spaces between buildings.. You'd think she'd be losing some of her advantages.

Still, she's pretty intent on keeping this thing, and the data she secured, away from anyone who's remotely looking like they're helping Talon or trying to stop here, on top of Talon themselves. She runs into a few of the latter, but she's dangerous in close quarters like this. Some leaping kicks, a few bursts from her pistols, and a few more Talon agents go dark.
Genji Shimada     KOTONE's gambit works. The airborne troops hopping from roof to roof are aware of Tracer, Vivio, Fate and Mirror, but they weren't expecting her. What ground they've managed to gain on the time speedster is more or less lost quickly; one of their number is slammed with a foam projectile that ensnares him and drops him to a roof, and the others all stop at once. "New hostile, new hostile!" Two of the search team members turn to open fire on Kotone herself, while the other two go back to the chase again. At this point, though, Stygian and Fate stand a much better chance of success than they do.

Especially with the alert that Kotone picks up from the cracked Talon comms channel. "Commander! Radar indicates incoming. Time's up." "Copy. All troops, prepare for dustoff. We have two minutes to be in the air or we're not getting out of here in time." The teams on the perimeter of the town all start falling back to prearranged gathering points one by one, where dropships are waiting to pick them up. The pursuit teams on the ground likewise start to do the same, but a few of them run into TRACER and receive some very bad news about their future prospects. On the other hand, the jumpjet soldiers on the roof remain in pursuit for the moment - and continue firing on TRACER from long range, whenever they can get a shot at her between buildings. Which isn't often.
Stygian Mirror     Eventually Mirror just stops pursuing.

She's not having very much effect, and Tracer is too fast. With the retreat order given, she may as well regroup with Fate. Without fanfare or further attacks, the Abyssal actually hops off the rooftops and into the streets, making it easier to navigate back to the small blonde without getting unwanted attention on the way.
Sanary Rondel That could have gone better, but at least Sanary got that card to the giant armored guy. Who knows? Maybe he'll even get back to her some day. For now, though, she focuses on regrouping with Fate and Stygian. Just because she got knocked around doesn't mean she didn't blow all her magic reserves, after all, and she'll link herself up with them through a green light beam to amplify their own natural healing and (if needed) provide them with a healthy source of magic power to draw on should they need it for their getaway!

Also, she'll hand Stygian Mirror a business card as well. "We should talk."
Fate Testarossa Tracer is fast... But Fate is certain; she's certain that if there was nothing in her way, she could catch up. She could catch up, if only... If only not for Vivio.

Though the young mage is already on the go, the heir to the Takamachi name is persistent. Even with Arf hounding and dogging her every step of the way. Vivio fends off the wolf admirably, kicking her off in the scuffle but...

Fate's momentum is arrested. Grunting again with surprise as she's snatched by the bind spell.

"SORRY SIR." Bardiche intones, already working on the counterspell, but even just the scant few seconds are more than enough to render the chase a moot point. By the time Bardiche does manage to break the bind for the girl to make her own escape, Tracer has too far of a head start for even Fate to catch up on.

She casts a silent glower over her shoulder in silence, already working on the dimensional transfer coordinates.

It is a very vindictive Arf, now in girl form, that snarls and lashes out with one last haymaker at Vivio for the road, before she's snatched up in the exit spell, as well.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa knows she can't get them all but it's clear the Talon train their troops, that's time and money lost for every one she catches before they can flee back to base. She also thinks she needs to talk to Wil and his friends about the data she dug up but fort now she's making sure they are going to have a bad time in escaping several shoot at her and she's not able to dodge all the rounds. One catches her in the torso but ... while she's in pain? She's not bleeding at lest not blood ad is that an electical spark or two from the wound? Yes that is but still she fires more foam at them.

"... Do you have any idea how much that costs?!"
Guest Vivio     Distracted as she was creating her binding spell, Vivio doesn't notice Arf's return until it's too late. The blow connects solidly, sending Vivio flying. She bounces across the roof a couple of times before rolling off the edge. Thankfully it's not a long fall to the ground and her Barrier Jacket absorbs as much of the impact as possible, leaving Vivio only a little bruised.

With the retreat of Fate and her familiar, Tracer's evasion of the forces chasing her, and said Talon forces apparently pulling out, Vivio decides she's done enough for today. She lies on the ground, staring up into the sky as she takes some time to recover... And wonders just how she can get through to Fate.
Guest Tracer     Slipping past a dragnet, and back into the facility isn't too difficult. The military is closing in, and honestly, Tracer is just as likely to be arrested as anyone else. But, she puts the device back, and leaves the data drive somewhere conspicuous. Along with a note, that she crawls on a nearby notepad.

But, she's ducking out of there as quick as she can, afterwards. She's not sure if that note will find the right sort of person, who'll publicise it. She can only hope so. Maybe there's some soldier her age, who is like her. Or someone older, who remembers what Overwatch was like. Either way, that thing is back in the right hands. Good hands. The research being done here will hopefully help people. So, even if she doesn't get any credit, she's fine with having done the right thing. That's what matters to her, in the end. She's pretty good at avoiding the growing police and military presence, at least until she's outside of the town, and in relative safety. "Blimey, what a right mess that was."
Genji Shimada     Kotone manages to hit a second jump troop with foam - he goes down in a storm of cursing, leaving only three remaining jetpack soldiers. The rest of them break off pursuit, although one yells back, "Better question is, do we care!" Wow! Rude. But the three of them are rocketing up into the air, where a dropship banks around to scoop them all up before their jetpacks give out. All the ground troops have already evacuated, in fact, and the last of the Talon dropships are pulling up and away, eager to get out of here while they still have even a vague chance of evading US military pursuit.

When Tracer finally stops to catch her breath, there's a few seconds of silence. And then, about ten feet away and right in her line of sight, a familiar three-pointed shuriken embeds itself in the ground. Tied to it is a card, with a radio frequency listed on it. Specifically, the frequency for Multiversal broadband.

If she looks up to see where it came from, she'll get a brief glimps of Genji - who gives her a two-fingered wave, before turning to dart off himself.
