Owner Pose
John Rizzo For some Elites, Urbania is a home away from home. Big cities are as natural to them as the backs of their hands, or for some, as natural even as breathing. John Rizzo, one of the Union's more recent acquisitions, is one such Elite, a man with a curious talent for being another face in the crowd. The night sky is full of stars and the streets are full of life--a veritable sea of humanity. Hands in the pockets of his messy trenchcoat, the private detective walks a familiar beat even if the specifics are different.

Here is an Elite that seems made for this place, with his apperance not entirely unlike the sea around him. As he walks, he seems to ride among the crowds of people, using them as cover, drifting from street to street, searching for a suitably dark alley to slide into. Urbania is clean, new, on the bleeding edge of progress--but it is not without its dark corners, nor is any place in creation. The man seems to seek a moment's privacy, in full knowledge that he is far from alone here. What he doesn't know is that he isn't the only Elite here, either.
Lise     And for some Elites, Urbania is a strange jungle with mountainous buildings that rival even castles of old, rendering the person out of place in such situations. Lise, the Amazon Princess of Laurent, is one such person. Clad in her green dress with spear upon the back, she traverses the streets amidst stares, chatter and strange looks from the wanderers around. Even she feels out of place in such a situation.

"I think I got lost in the Warpgate again." she mutters to herself, slinking around, ducking here and there to avoid running into the tightly packed sidewalk in front of a music store... "Such strange things going on around here, what is all of this...?"
John Rizzo Well, would you look at that. Must be one of Lin's friends, this one. Get a load of the pigsticker she's got. Real swords and sorcery type, huh? Rizzo supposes it's not important, though--he's looking for food, not company. At least, not at present. All of the people around are at once a disguise and a distraction for him, a low temptation in the back of his mind he's been beating back for decades now. He's as used to that noise as he is the noise of the streets; the buzz of hunger is as familiar as the distant blaring of car horns.

"Scuse me, miss," says a man with vibrant red hair and stony grey eyes. Tall and lanky, he gently pushes past her. As he moves to pass her, he drops a shiny silver medallion upon the ground, which glints in the moonlight. He doesn't seem to notice that he dropped it, because he keeps walking. It's clearly something of some value, though, as the lanky fellow was gripping and rubbing it like some sort of good luck charm. At the pace he's going, he'll be around the corner in no time.
Lise     Lise's about as lost as a Rabite in a town, and that's to say very... very lost. She rounds a corner and soon, has that lanky man push past her... "Ah... so.. sorry!" she replies back only to hear the medallion drop. A tilt... and a lean to pick it up, palming it and looking at it quite nicely... "It's pretty... but he dropped it." she muttered, but by the time she looks up, it's all around busy again... "Oh no!" it's here she decides to take to something better and kick up off the ground to start pushing her way through the molasses that is a crowd.

"Excuse me, pardon me!" she shouts, "Hey, sir! You dropped something!" she shouts again, this time towards John. "Hey, heeeeey!" digging into her ... pocket...? she pulls out a wrapped candy... and LOBS it right at John. "HEY YOU!" she shouts, louder this time that gets multiple people staring at her... "HIM! Not you all, you commoners!" she gives a bit of a scoff and starts pushing her way towards him again.
John Rizzo John notices that someone's trying to get his attention at perhaps the second 'hey.' He stops, stepping aside and looking for who's calling him, his hearing directing him towards Lise just as a bit of candy clocks him on the nose. It clatters to the ground, with Rizzo and everyone around him looking on in silence. A beat. Rizzo then makes a shooing gesture with his hands. "You heard the lady. Breeze." Quiet mutters of disbelief bubble over the onlookers, but surely enough they go on about their business. He looks at Lise more intently now. Those eyes of his seem made to pierce.

"Well, you got my attention," he says, bending down to pick up and observe the candy. Dusting it against the lapels of his shabby-looking trench coat, he offers the sweet back to her. "I was just about to tip a few. What's the problem, sweetheart?"
Lise     A sigh is given as she moves up towards the man, a brief smile upon her face, at least... until that intense look. "Ah... first, that candy you can keep... it's good for you. Second." she pulls out the dropped medallion, "You dropped this earlier, sir. I figure it only noble to return it to its rightful owner at least." that spear is still stuck up in mid air... but the medallion is offered forward.

"I wanted to return it to you so no thief could sell it for money. A rare item like this could fetch quite a bit in the black markets, you know. I'd rather you keep a tight hold to it, however."
John Rizzo Rizzo chuckles. "A good Samaritan, huh. Thanks, miss." He takes the medallion, turning it over in his hand and rubbing it as he did before. After a moment, he places it around his nack, showing it to Lise. "Saint Jude," he explains. "Patron saint of lost causes." The ginger tucks it under his shirt for safe keeping, then examines the candy. This he dexterously balances between his fingers, rolling it from one side of his hand to the other. His expression is interested, and perhaps a little skeptical. Stuffing it into his pocket, he quirks a brow.

"Speaking of which," he says. "You sure the candy man didn't take you for a ride? I never heard of candy that was good for somebody."
Lise     "My mother stated it was good to help those who needed it, and with a lost item, you needed it." she gives a brief nod and a smile, looking at the medallion a bit closer now that it was on someone. "I'm afraid I have not heard of that spirit before." she frowns, "But if the spirit helps you, then may she guide your path." A brief stretch is given but that skeptical eye gets her...

    "It's called a Round Drop. It's a restorative. I also have a Pakkun Chocolate that's a better restorative... and a magic walnut."
John Rizzo Rizzo actually seems to understand once Lise explains the candy's magical origins. "I get it," he says with a nod. "Well--" He turns as if to leave, but thinks better of it, speaking once more. "Y'know, lady, you stick out like a sore thumb here. Not that it's a bad thing, but you look like you're a little lost. Can I help you find something or show you around?" Mind, he doesn't know this place from Siam, but he's a quick study when it comes to cities. And even if this place is a little bigger than he's used to, there's bound to be a bus stop or a Yellow Pages he can point her to.
Lise     "I do?" she seems to be slightly oblivious to the staring.. "Umm, well.." she looks a bit nervous now and thinks... before nodding again. "I could use a way back to Njourn. I left something there I need to take back to my room in Canterlot." her face looks to be serious during this entire exchange... "I know it might be strange to ask but I could use the assistance and it'll be nice if you could show me the way..."
John Rizzo "Njorun?" he asks. "You're Union?"

That question has many possible outcomes, not all of them good--but it seems the man is an ally, as he offers her a hand in greeting. "John Rizzo, private dick. You need somebody found, or found out, I'm a real right gee." Provided the princess is familiar with, and accepts the greeting, Rizzo's shake is firm, brief, and businesslike. His eyes settle on her spear for a moment, and curiosity takes seat. "You a friend of Lin's? Karal Rei Lin?"
Lise     "I am." she replies simply, stating nothing more or less.

Lise looks at the hand curiously and nods, shaking it with her own. "Princess Lise of the Kingdom of Laurent. Amazon and spear wielder." she gives a smile at this and listens, "So you find lost people?" ... "What about kidnapped ones? As for Karal Rei Lin, I only heard of him through the magic box that makes voices. I heard him when I was talking about the Creation I went to on accident."
John Rizzo "Yep," he says. "Lost, kidnapped, hiding, unfaithful spouses, con artists... The works. I'll even find your car keys or your little lost dog." He reaches into his coat and provides Lise with a business card. It reads 'Midnight Oil Detective Agency' and provides an address in a place called 'San Francisco,' as well as a phone number, which, given her understanding of the radio, could potentially be Greek to her. "My partner Marcus works cases during the day. At night you get me."

"How's about I grab a quick bite and you tell me about this lost person?"
