Morrigan      The traitor flees to the belly of the beast.

The loss of Artemis Station was one of the defining points of the war, the point that truly struck down Calder's Third Fleet and let Steele take free reign of the outer system. Artemis Station orbits Europa, the moon of Jupiter, and is crawling with GTVA forces. A direct assault would be suicidal.

But three Elites? It's just crazy enough to work.

Laporte flies a Fedayeen Ainsarii, a dark arrowhead against the stars.

The Atreus is there, a great sword hanging above Artemis Station like Damocles itself, with an AWACS in its shadow. Getting too close to it, getting too close to Steele, would mean detection. There's a net of MJOLNIR beam cannons, controlled by remote and able to be hacked - if they can find the ship Henriksson is on. There's at least three other warships, including elements of Serkr Team, and one of the great logistics ships, like the Agincourt. A few wings of fighters fly lazy patrol routes - evidently, Artemis is seen to be so safe that they can get slack.

     Plenty of space to maneuver.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr is not in her usualy position, floating between her allies. No, this time she's hitched a ride on Laporte's Ainsarii, clinging to the dorsal side like a brightly coloured limpet. She won't be visible, but she does detatch once the jump's complete, so her irregular outline doesn't damage Laporte's stealth rating. She watches the Serkr corvette leaving, and glares daggers at it the entire way, until it's time to move, of course. "We can get close to hack those beam cannons... Wrench control away from their remote point and keep them in reserve so we can vaporize the traitor."
Alexis Maaka R    Amid the Ainsarii that have mustered to this op, Maaka's accompanied along with the stealth wing. She remains at Morrigan's side, her ship at idle while she tries to scan ahead with long range sensor equipment. Her eyes stare at the Serkr corvette, and she furrows her brow. "Just show your face and take it with some dignity..." Maaka growls. She has no sympathy for traitors.
Morrigan      Artemis Station is a busy place. While the three operatives plan, a variety of transports jump in, alongside the strike corvette Fortitude. Henriksson is on one of those ships, and with how she begins talking openly, it should be easy enough to track down which one.

"Maaka," Laporte says, "Steer clear of the Fortitude but get scans of the four Omega transports. I'll look at Lambda."

Her Ainsarii turns off, slipping through the black, while Zephyr heads for the cannons. Providing there's no energy being sent out, she should be as invisible as a piece of space debris...
Alexis Maaka     "Roger that." Maaka radios back, before she turns off and slips through space. She moves nice and slow, trying to get scans of the nearest Omega transport while steering clear of the Fortitude. It can't hurt to be nice and slow, for this op.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr has to 'fire' off a little energy to start drifting her way towards the gun network. It might register above the background space noise, but it's a necessary risk. The mage floats like a fleck of debris, heading straight for the closest MJLONIR cannon emplacement.

Once close enough, she arrests her speed with micro bursts of magic, to settle lightly against the hull of the turret. "Okay Dee. Make it quick. Don't try to be subtle." <I do not do 'subtle' Master.> replies the Device, as it interfaces with the onboard controls of the MJOLNIR cannon, overriding the remote link and slaving it to her own system. It's not a pretty, delicate or subtle hack. Anyone monitoring the linkages would likely notice the cannon go dark on their screen.
Morrigan      The Mjolnir cannon is a brutal, unsubtle thing - a main beam cannon surrounded by a halo of radiator fins. It is easily enough hacked but, as unsubtle as it is, the AWACS vessel - the GTA Argus - notices it and dispatches a wing of fighters to run a sweep. With how close Artemis Station is, Zephyr could probably hide there.

"Lambda 1, no dice. Lambda 2, nothing. Moving for the next two," Laporte reports.

The first two transports that Maaka inspects find nothing either. They're decoys, maybe, but there's still two more to check...
Alexis Maaka     "No luck. Must be decoys." Maaka transmits on burst comm, before she begins to move towards the next transport that comes her way. "Okay..." she grumbles to herself quietly, and starts running scans once more when she's in safe range.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr grits her teeth as that broadcast goes out from the Argus... damn AWACS. She pushes off from the cannon, and fires another short pulse of magic to get into the shadow of Artemis station, hugging into a crevasse in the station's outer shell to avoid being spiked by the incoming GTVA fighters. She calls it over tight beam to her wingmates, then cuts comms, going completely dark until she's clear.
Morrigan      "I've got nothing on Lambda 3 or Lambda 4, Maaka," Laporte reports, "Please tell me you've got something."

Meanwhile, the fighters of Scorpio wing make a quick burn for the Mjolnir net. The four fighters poke around the cannons, seeming more like curious birds than fusion-armed weapons of war. They pass by within just a few feet of Zephyr's hiding spot but then turn clear, heading back on their route. Things are clear, they report.

And, as Maaka starts scanning the last two transports, her instruments start reporting loudly - Omega 4 is broadcasting! That has to be her!
Alexis Maaka     "Got something on Omega 4, please advise." Maaka reports with some satisfaction, her fingers hovering over the triggers. It'd be so easy to just pop the ship and bail, but the transmissions they're intercepting just make it all the more difficult a choice to make. It WOULD HELP to know what the hell Svetlanna is talking about...
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr holds her breath, for all the good that'd do, as those fighters come within bare feet of her hiding spot. It'd just take one to look around his cockpit to see the brightly coloured splotch wedged into that little crevasse.... but then it turns off. Once the fighters are clear, she tight beams. "Give me a target, she's about to spill the beans!" She kicks off the station, heading towards another cannon, while spinning up the first one, priming it to fire. "Dee, hard code this cannon to start firing on the Atreus once we give the signal. Soft code it to only override the remote once the signal is given." she says, landing against the unstable cannon weapon, letting Divine Wind interface with the controls.
Morrigan      With Zephyr's hacking, she turns a weapon designed to hole Shivan destroyers on a lightly-armed civilian transport. A bright emerald beam strikes Omega 4 and utterly vaporises it. Henriksson's channel is lost in a storm of static and the GTVA garrison sweeps into action.

The second cannon starts blasting at at the Atreus, bright green shots leaving scars on its shining hull. Scorpio Wing turns back, heading for the Mjolnirs, and opens up on their targets. Other civilian ships begin scattering. It's total bedlam, and the perfect opportunity to slip away, leaving Steele none the wiser as to what just transpired.
Zephyr Windstar     Zephyr cuts and runs, firing a larget blast of magic to coincide with the Mjolnir discharge, launching away from the station, the cannons and the Atreus as fast as she dared make the pulse. "Go without me, I'll D-Jump back to the Masyaf once I'm sure I won't be pegged on their scanners." she calls as she careens without power through the void... just another piece of debris, nothing to see here.
Alexis Maaka     "Adios." Maaka is cold and quiet. THis is nothing more than another assassination mission, no different than any she's done before. She takes off along with Morrigan, slipping away before Steele even realizes the UEF just took out a loose end.

It was almost too easy, Maaka thinks.
Morrigan      Short, simple, precise - combining utter necessity with lack of judgement. That's the Fedayeen and, whether Steele knows it or not, they've just made it quite clear that the war isn't over. Not yet.

Maaka and Laporte make it out without much trouble, their transits lost in the background noise of beams and gunfire. To Zephyr, floating through space, the sight might almost be beautiful.

Mentally, Noemi checks off one person on her list. One down.
