Arcee     Central Plaza, Njorun Station. It's here that Arcee's enjoying a sunny stretch of flat land after a few days off her wheels. Turning left and right, she seems to be admiring the handiwork of whatever technician saw to her repairs -- and her paint job. Under the warm orange sun, she's practically glowing, her royal blues and rich pinks lustrous and smooth. Jack's with her, looking like he's in a good mood, himself.
Blurr     Something keeps whipping past them on the right. Something moving so fast that it just looks like a streak of blue and white. Arcee's sensors will probably tell her that it's another Cybertronian, but it's hard to get a good look at who exactly it is at the rate the he's moving. She might be able to guess, though--she's talked to him on the Union broadband before!
Arcee     Arcee cocks her head and appears either skeptical or vaguely annoyed each time the blue-white streak goes zipping past. Jack, the typical inattentive teenager, almost misses the rushing shape until he finally picks up on Arcee's weird body language. He squints off in the same direction she does the next time Blurr goes passing by, and lets out a low whistle of admiration.

"I don't know who the speed demon is, but -- "

"Blurr," Arcee interrupts. "It's got to be Blurr. Do you know anyone else who moves and talks at a mile a minute?"

Jack's face lights up in a grin. "Another Autobot?! Call him over here, would ya? I want to meet him!"

Arcee glances down at her partner and smiles. "All right." Then, almost laconic about the gesture, she lifts up a hand in greeting and calls out, "Over here, Blurr!"
Blurr     Correction: Moves, talks, -and- thinks. And there aren't many. A lot of people can move fast, yes. But can they think or talk as fast as he can? He hasn't encountered anyone else -yet-.

Blurr zooms past three more times before he finally stops in front of them, turning and transforming at the same time. "You must be Arcee." He studies her pensively. "Huh you're different from the one I know you wouldn't want a human tagging along with her all the time that's for sure."
Arcee     "Oh yeah?" Arcee tucks her slim arms across her chestplate and leans back slightly, amused. "I didn't want him at first, either. Turns out, humans can be more stubborn than the most rock-brained 'Bots I've ever met. You got it right, though. I'm Arcee, and this is my partner, Jack Darby."

The affection she has for her partner is present in her voice and within the warm look she gives him.

"Uh -- hey! I'm Jack." Jack extends his hand toward Blurr, the other busy rubbing the back of his head in bashful reaction to Arcee's form of praise. "How are you so fast? It's insane, I've never seen anything move that way!"
Blurr     "Yeah, she's kind of unpredictable at times. Though she's getting better." Blurr chuckles at the thought. "Given she hasn't been around Earth much though, she probably wouldn't make a very good partner for a human anyway."

The Autobot crouches down toward Jack, and considers trying to shake his head but decides against it. "Nice to meet you, Jack." He looks smug at the compliment, because he has a sizable ego. "It's the way I was made, I guess. You've never seen anyone move like that before because there aren't many who actually -can-." He's a bit full of himself, yeah.
Arcee     "I've had to adapt. We haven't been on Earth very long, ourselves -- the Autobots I work beside, that is. Optimus Prime called us there and made it our final bastion. Meeting and learning to work with humans, that was just another unexpected result of his decision. A consequence, I used to think...but now I see it as more of a blessing. I'm sure your Arcee would come to feel the same way, if she was standing in my treads." Arcee watches Blurr and Jack interact. "It's good to meet another Autobot."

"Yeah, no kidding. There's only five of 'em on my planet Earth. Optimus Prime, the big guy. We've also got Ratchet, and Bulkhead, and Bumblebee...Arcee herself, of course. The 'Cons outnumber us big time, but the war's not over, right?" Both Jack and Arcee try to sound upbeat despite the rather grim nature of their words. They're pressed pretty hard, back home. "Union makes things better, though. Hey, so what's it like where you're from? Nice wheels, by the way."
Blurr     Blurr listens to Arcee's side of the story. "Optimus brought you to Earth, huh?" He straightens back up. That position is kind of uncomfortable. "For us it was Shockwave. The 'Cons were after his Regensis project, so Prowl and his team followed them to see what they were after."

He pauses, and arches an optic ridge at Jack. "There was a time when there were a lot of us there. But the war kind of devastated half the planet, so we weren't exactly welcome. It's good to know that -some- version of us has a good relationship with the humans, though." A datapad is drawn from subspace and he busies himself examining something on it. "Not too fond of the humans from our Earth, myself."
Arcee     "...huh. Shockwave." Arcee spits out the name, vitriolic. "He's been on my case a few times already, out in the Multiverse, and now he's got Megatron involved in the Confederacy, too. Beyond those two, I...haven't seen many other 'Cons outside Earth. I figure Megatron must be concentrating his efforts, but it's only a matter of time before they branch out. Knock Out's been on the radio, for example."

"Yeah. And now we've got that Lockdown guy to consider. You're really packing on the enemies, 'Cee." Jack tries to make a joke out of it, but it's a bit weak. Not as weak as his voice whenever he double-checks something Blurr's just said: "Half the Earth...destroyed? Are you serious?"
Blurr     "I don't know about half exactly, but it was pretty bad." Blurr shrugs. "Bad enough that the humans decided that all of us were a bunch of savage war machines. But no surprise there--it's basically the same attitude the rest of the galaxy had toward us already, anyway."

The Autobot smirks at the mention of Lockdown. "Heh, yeah. He tried to pin me down, but I gave him a run for his shanix." Of course they beat the slag out of each other, but he wasn't about to admit that he'd been as battered as Lockdown. He frowns at the datapad. "Hm. That's odd."
Arcee     "'Odd'?" Arcee doesn't quite pry into things for the sake of staying polite, but she's clearly curious.

Jack, fortunately, has no such qualms. "What's odd? Did something come in on your datapad?" Yes, another good reason for keeping around a young human partner -- Jack can get away with being a Nosy Nellie. Or Nelly. Whatever the expression is.

"Is something wrong, Blurr...?" That's as close as Arcee can get to asking for details he might not want to share.
Blurr     "Well, I'm not quite sure." Blurr sighs a little, examining the incoming signals in more detail. But they don't seem to tell him much more. "There are some unusual energy signatures coming from Cybertron. Uh, the one I know, that is. Thing is, it's been desolate for vorns, and that just...doesn't make any sense."
Arcee     "What kind of energy signatures?" Arcee perks up right away at any mention of Cybertron. Forget manners! She's gotta know everything, now! "Do you think someone's on the planet? Autobots -- the Decepticons? Someone else?" Now, she's talking almost as quickly as Blurr. Jack even lays a hand on her knee to get her to calm down and let Blurr answer.
Blurr     "I don't know, I've never seen anything like it. I may have to ask Perceptor or Brainstorm about it." Blurr shakes his head. "As for someone being there, we know it isn't -completely- empty. It's been infested by the Swarm ever since Megatron made the Insecticons. Which is why I'm not exactly that excited about going there to investigate."
Arcee     Arcee and Jack exchange a glance. "Insecticons...yeah, we've encountered those, ourselves. Look, that sounds pretty important. You should probably get home and investigate the energy signals. If we can help at all, with analysis or anything, you have only to ask, all right? And if comes to an excursion to Cybertron -- even /your/ Cybertron -- I'll be there before you can say 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious'. Deal?" Arcee smiles up at Blurr, and nods once. "Get to work; we'll see each other again soon."
Blurr     "Yeah these are pretty nasty. Not smart but there's a lot of them." Blurr nods. "I--" He looks confused at the sound of the made up word. "--say what?"

"Uh sure. Yeah, we might end up taking a scout party to Cybertron, once we know a bit more."
