Drowned Ophelia The moon, she hangs like a cruel portrait, soft winds whisper the bidding of palm trees. The dark ocean shatters that pale light into curling fractures, the very essence of peace and tranquility. At least, at first. It comes - not with a whisper, but with a roar. Something pinging off the deep sonar, something quick and slim. Too thin for a submarine, too fast for a person; The ocean waters lit from beneath by eldritch lights that grow in strength as this THING rises towards the surface -
The Coma Navaja. Lima Ultimos's pirate ship, it's rigging tattered, eye watering light strung from lanterns. As it breeches the surface, driving the curling waves before it, one can just make out a figure upon the prow- She stands, like some bizaare Heavy Metal Angel. Brown hair swirling away as the waters curl through it, eyes closed, skin pale but flushed with excitement. But as the waters part further and she breeches, one can see the Six Stringed Sorrow in her hand;
And like an inverse reflection, where the cleansing water leaves her, her skin grows pale blue. A dress of the darkest ichor curling about her shoulders and slim waist, ebon hair tumbling, plastered to her scalp as rivulets of ocean water pour away. And the Six Stringed Sorrow-
HAMMERS. A melody, ancient and driven as a call to arms, the wake candles hissing and sputter as the broken Queen of Tears summons DEATH METAL. Storm clouds already beginning to breech the air above the ancient scooner and it's undead crew. Her chin rises, white teeth flashes between black lips in a cold and cruel smile. The very water beneath her poisoned in her passing, swirling eddies of ink curling downwards towards the depths off shore.

Nagato     The night patrols are out and about away from Hikari Seaport and the resource expeditions have been sent out. Most of the heavy cruisers here, along with the submarines, are taking a dip in the repair baths deep within the Seaport's barracks and Nagato, herself, is up in her office with the other Capital ships... playing Mahjong. It was supposed to be a good night, successful training exercises done and the promise of more resources in the morning.

    That's all changed...

Up in the conning tower sits a headset wearing woman, countless radars and such and with perfect view of the seas and skies around Hikari. The first thing that gets her is the storm brewing... Ooyodo's tilting her head, "The weather said nothing about a storm..." comes a slightly worried voice, then there's the surface contact, a single lone ship pinging in the radar. Pulling up a set of binoculars, she stares through them, looking around... "It's out there somewhere." and there it is...

A familiar ship to Ooyodo, "Attention Hikari Seaport! Enemy vessel approaching! Admiral, report to the launch bay, your firepower will be needed! I'll call in Union backup, the Destroyers are out on expedition."

Rushing towards the launch bays, Nagato gives a nod, "Understood, Ooyodo. Make that report. I'll head out alone here." and soon, Nagato hits the water with speed, guns trained in. She wasn't able to launch the carriers, the storm would rip apart the planes, most of her cruisers are repairing and her destroyers are out on expedition... time to see what the Union can delve out.
Rose Quartz The good thing about Rose Quarts, aside from her dozens of other good qualities, is that she's never far away from a portal, warp pad, or interdimensional gate. Nor is she far from her arsenal. It seems this Multiverse Unification brings with it a great deal of violence. Well, she's no stranger to violence, having fought a multi-millennia war for Earth. But sometimes teleporting between dimensions can result in... Interesting position shifts.

That's why, instead of appearing on the ground, Rose appears some distance up in the air. "Oh no, not again." she says with a sigh as she hurtles oceanward. This isn't the first time she's wound up some distance away from the battle. No matter! Aiming her light cannons down, she begins launching a barrage of laser-filled goodness down to the ship that she can just barely see below.

From the clouds above, four enormous beams of light come lancing down towards the vessel below her.
Alden The magic words seemed to be 'Death Metal'. The digimon wasted no time, barely grabbing Katze and dragging her on him, the pair simply making their way to the nearest gate, and going as close as he can to the target!. He can't quite see Rose, but he sure as hell can hear the faint music, and see the shape of the ship getting blasted by pink laser beams.

Alden has to agree with that tactic, his frantic flying going to a halt as he steadies himself, tries to lock on to the ship, and warns Katze to hold still. The robotic wolf's body clicks several times as a large number of hidden missile bays are revealed preparing. The digimon's eyes glow red as he howls "Giga Destruction!" and unleashes a surprising ammount of ordinance, a swarm of small, but strong missiles rushing to meet the pirate ship. Each and every one of them 'painted' with an angry face, not unlike a bullet bill.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone

Kotone had been here The Evening before and a good deal of the morning spending it on the Archery Range training, she seems to have taken things to heart on it. Her archery did need work a whole lot of work. She'd been at it though pretty regularly now. She's not yet hit the mark on what her assignment was but she'd had been improving to anyone that's been taking note of her time on the range.

Kotone ran to the hanger as fast as she could move and due to the storm? She wasn't kitting out with the normal equipment she did when she worked with the fleet. She would be taking some time to get geared up and to launch but she would be joining the fight soon enough. She took a deep breath as she got out fitted what could go wrong?

Flesh Doll

Someone else was with Drowned Ophelia and her minions as they moved through the depths she didnt need to breath as she moves to rise from the waters. She looks to be a patch work of brutal stitched together flesh like some homage to the monster in Mary Shelly's famous novel about a mad doctor making life from death. It's also often true when one meddles with such things? Horrible things happen and this woman doesn't seem right. If one looked hard at her there would be something very familiar to those defending the sea port about this woman.

"So the remnants of the Imperial Navy. My Queen are you ready?"

the music starts and it seems it's time she pulls a massive ax off her back smirking.

"Let's see how the puppets dance. I ... think she's here..."
Lima Ultimos The Coma Navaja is far larger than the average 17th century brigantine. Her shadow engulfs whatever it approaches, and the rotted ship emits an aura of death. At the helm is Captain Lima Ultimos, an undead scourge with a flytrap for a shoulder.

Lima Ultimos speaks cheerily towards his musical guest. "Aye, this will be a wonderful show! These naval dogs will witness ye truest art!" The ship ramps up speed. Will they be able to start the concert peacefully?

Nope. Rose and Alden's attacks strike true, killing crewmates on the masts. They're rapidly brought below deck, as the cannons rain fire on the aggressors. They're incredibly powerful, enough to likely heavily damage a structure if allowed enough time. "Come at me, ye scurvy dogs! I'll strike ye base down!"
Razel     Ophelia and her army are just a wonderful food source. She alone is a beacon of burning hate enough that both he and Kaltz could feed from her for years. Kaltz being the late Devil of Grief, of course, and Ophelia's got plenty of THAT to spare, too. Just being around Ophelia, merely absorbing the passive rage she emits, is like the warm feeling of a good alcoholic beverage settling in the stomach. Kind of. It works a little different for Razel. Suffice to say she's become quite an important food source.

Not only that, but his servants seem to enjoy her parties. Particularly if they get to hunt and/or kill something before, during, or after. They're cats, after all. Cats like to hunt, sometimes for the sole purpose of toying with prey. It stokes the rage in his servants, so Razel's got no complaints about it. This music Ophelia uses works wonders for that sort of thing.

Unfortunately, not being able to breathe underwater-- besides, he's a FIRE devil-- Razel's had to find his own way across. Which means he's going to be slightly limited in the number of minions he can bring to this little shindig. He can't endlessly teleport them, after all, and a ship that passes underwater with a crew that isn't bothered by a little thing like drowning would be a hazardous place to put air-breathing minions. Particularly his cats.

The boat breaks the surface and Opehlia starts to summon darkness and metal, and a few moments later there's a flare of bright, bloody red flame in the air over the boat. The fire burns itself away in the air, leaving the Devil of Wrath to linger in the air over the boat. His black and red attire blends into the night sky well enough, and he's quite, despite the fiery appearance. He doesn't bob in the air, no. Nothing about his stance indicates that he's anything less than completely secure. It's as though Razel's just standing in the air over the boat.

Suddenly Rose's beams of light come lancing down from the sky, and Alden's missiles come in from his position too! Razel is forced to move away from the ship or risk being caught in the crossfire. "...Well, they didn't waste time, did they?" he comments. "But the desperate do tend to flail."

The rage from all around will soon blend into a soupy mess of wrath. Despite the other side already getting the first shots off, Razel smirks. And he reaches out to the ship. He can feel its anger from being attacked. And possibly from being insulted by the opposition via radio? Razel reaches out to that rage with his power, stoking that ire. Anger is power, after all... perhaps that will give the ship a needed boost?
Sanary Rondel It's been a while since Sanary's been on one of Drowned Ophelia's tours. It certainly isn't the first place she'd pick to be considering what had happened the last time she fought alongside that certain brand of death metal, but considering the destination? She's willing to overlook that this time around. "So this is the place they've been hiding out at..." The healer squints slightly as she peers at the seaport in the distance, checking her gear to make sure it's all secured properly with an odd series of gray loops. Kite shield, gunaxe, and her largest (and greenest) set of armor as if to really emphasize the fact that she's angling for a fight than a discussion here?

"So. What's the plan, anyway?" She asks without turning back towards Lima nor Ophelia, seemingly focused on the Seaport. The healer does, however, keep her shield propped up against the side of the vessel as she's already mentally starting to prepare herself. Good thing, too, what with the quartet of light beams and barrage of missiles coming straight for the ship.

"Incoming!" Sanary shouts and pumps some energy into her anklets, taking flight moments later and narrowly avoiding getting blasted right off that ship by all the ordinance coming their way. She even intercepts some with her shield, moreso to keep her own head on before getting a better look at where the projectiles are coming from. "... Eh? What are you two doing here?!" She shouts towards Rose and Alden, hurrying in their direction with her shield raised. She doesn't look like she's aiming to attack just yet, although her expression shows she probably isn't going to just back down, either!
Drowned Ophelia Drowned Ophelia's chin rises again as the beams of pink energy lance downwards from the Rose Quartz up above; As demons feed and ships howl, as the fury of battle rolls into heavy swing. The screams of alarms. The growing storm roiling about above, spreading wide and hard and fast. Her back arches, hair spread out in a rising wind - but this noise does not halt the metal. The winds do not muffle the SOUND AND THE MOTHERFUCKING FURY. NO, the sound grows LOUDER; Lightning crackles and thunder peels in time to the rattle of hidden drums, the very air about Lima's ship shuddering as the Queen of Tears summons DEATH METAL. Empowers it as it empowers here, a short circuit, a run-away reaction feeding on itself.
And then the ship shudders beneath the onslaught given to it, Drowned Ophelia briefly losing her footing to stumble. Clawed fingers curl away from glowing strings as she looks up. Curiously calm - curiously cold. And then she snarls, answering both Sanary and Flesh Doll.

".. Make them HURT."

Legs spread; Her arm swings up and hits down HARD, faster and faster, a thundering explosion of a solo. The waters around the ship churn and twist, the threads of inky Black Tears growing wider - lightning flickering and crackling, forking into the ocean around them. Air cover? No - BOMBARDMENT. Waves crashing and rising as the lightning strobes away from the ship and TOWARDS THE PORT ITSELF in time to hammering strings.

"FIRE!"

Rose Quartz That sound. That sound. That sound. That sound. That SOUND!

Rose Quartz does her best to hold it together. Her fall becomes uncontrolled as she plunges from the sky, the hate and the anger and the SOUND! It pierces right through her before she can get her shield up. The sound vibrates right through her created body, shaking her gem. "I..." Her fall becomes faster. Faster. Soon she can be seen, falling through the sky like a shooting star. There's a great HISS as her body hits the ocean, sinking beneath the waves.
Alden Alden is not particularly happy about the sound, and neither is Katze, but seems they manage to hold it together at least a bit better than poor Rose. He makes a dive in her direction, but is interrupted as he sees Sanary rushing towards them!. He growls at the familiar face, "Why are you helping HER." he snarls, before his chest compartment opens, a much larger missile launching towards teh shielded opponent. "Garuru tomahawk!" he calls.
Nagato     Union help arrived and thats just great. Nagato was out of range for the first barrage, taken care of by Alden and Rose and she's still waiting for her Carrier to swap to Cruiser equipment.. She's got no time to waste, the shells from that ship arc over her and crash right into the port's grounds, smashing right into the launch bay and the conning tower, the shells exploding into them and destroying a portion of the tower and a few of the launch bays, making it even harder to summon base reinforcements.

Ooyodo lets out a screech of emotion, frightened that her safe spot on the base is getting shelled, it echoes over the local radio and Nagato's face turns into a scowl. "They cheapen their support and they threaten Ooyodo." Nagato's guns turn up and a jet black floatplane shoots off her back towards the sky and towards the Ship. Artillery spotting go. And, as soon as the plane makes contact, the guns make a loud rapport.

Eight white shells streak through the sky, the blasts of lightning from the storm light up their path breifly... armor peircing shells designed to rip through other metal boats, move at a frightening pace, hoping to strke the enemy vessel right in the midships... "Now sink, and don't pollute my waters any longer!" she shouts as she kicks up her speed to try and flank... that night scout barely hanging on with the weather like such... and that red flare of rage...

"All crew on base, start emergency repairs, I want those launch bays fixed!"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone

Kotone had just finished up loading up as the Admrial rightly told her to hurry the Davey Jones up. Which she did with the last bit of gear fitted? Kotone was skating out onto the water fromt he hangers looking to engage the Drowned and their allies She would open fire n Ophelia's ship the moment she had range. She would be more of a threat when she got in close enough to use the torpedos she was packing.

"What do you want this time? What in God's name did you want with medical waste anyway?!"

Seriously what did a band of crazy occult metal heds want with medical waste? She'd also have to focus on the waves or she'd end up sunk by the enviormental hazards.

Flesh Doll

The corpse puppet laughs loudly over th storm.

"Come fallen daughters of the Rising Sun. What hope do you have? You will sink in the end as all do and you will understand your true natures."

She's moving to close in now under her feet a strange black subtance keeps her above the waves.

"Now Tell me?! WHERE IS THAT DOLL THAT THINKS SHE IS ME?! Tell me where the mechanical /doll/ is?! She took part of me and I would have it back."

The Black tears seem to be reacting the more agiated that Flesh Doll is andshe's going to start tearing into the port if no one gets in her way.
Sanary Rondel Of course Alden would be angry. Why wouldn't he? Ophelia hasn't done much to hide her motives, at least, so Sanary just shrugs simply before pointing at the base in the distance. "Because /they/ drew /my/ girlfriend into an ambush and chopped her arm off while trying to kill her." She speaks in an oddly cold tone, doing a fairly decent job at keeping her tone level before bracing the shield in front of her. "So why are you helping them?"

And then there's ANOTHER FREAKING MISSILE. The healer doesn't have much time to react to it, barely able to get her shield up in time to keep the offending projectile from exploding right next to her face. The blast does send her hurtling down towards the water, however, and at just the right time to see someone else falling into the drink as well!

It's Rose. The healer makes a vague gesture at Alden as if trying to beckon him closer before holding her breath and cutting the flow of magic energy to the AANS (her anklets), then plunging into the murky depths as well! Sure, she might be on opposite sides of the fight as Rose Quartz, but...

Well, it doesn't look like Fleet's in any position to help her out. Might as well try and draw those two out of the fight diplomatically rather than with excessive violence first! Sanary starts to search the water, trying to catch a glimpse of the giant pink woman in the hopes of dragging her right back out of there.
Rose Quartz There's a roiling, boiling, noisy sound from beneath the waves. And then Rose starts to swim for the surface, trailing streamers of seaweed. But as she rises, her body is changing. It warps, twisting around itself in impossible geometries as she tries to create a body that adapts to the awful, soul-wrenching sound that pierces right through her gem.

Her body grows, her twisting limbs and parts becoming first viney, then thorny. Her body chars and blackens, with thin rose threads running throughout, the head green.

The terrible, thorn-riddled monster that was once Rose continues to grow, becoming truly monstrous in size. Her thorntacles writhe, churning the water as she grabs for the nearest target. The flesh doll is her first target, a dozen inanely sharp spikes launched ahead of the writhing tentacle-rose's grasping arms.

"GROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARWWWWWWWWWWWWWWR"
Drowned Ophelia The ship shudders and twists beneath Ophelia's feet, but her legs are planted wide. Back curled over her guitar as if in pain, eyes squeezed shut in the agony/euphoria of communing with the DEAD GODS OF MOTHERFUCKING METAL. The strings glow hot white, electricity flickering and arcing along her form - rippling to the ship beneath her, to the curdled, blackened sky above. Lightning explodes and crashes, rippling along the belly of the pregnant storm above to crash into the distant port again and again. But it would seem this won't be enough; For as impressive as it looks, the damage is superficial; Walls and stones. The Ship finally nosing up at the latest EXPLOSIVE BARRAGE from Nagato, ghouls under the service of another fighting hard. Drowned Ophelia is staggered, losing her grip on the song as she tilts to the side. But her eyes aren't on the battle - they're on the -WATER-. White eyes flicker up once as someone calls to her over the screaming METAL, self sustaining now, and she laughs.
LAUGHS. Cackles. A mad, broken peal of laughter, even as Kaiju Rose rises from the waters. That is the answer Kotone gets, before Drowned Ophelia - runs her claws across her own wrist. Suicide hobby. The splatter of Black Tears hits the deck, and she continues to play again. Practically growling as her own ichor-for-blood runs down the strings, cooling them, sent hissing into the water below..

And there, Rose may have seen it first. The inky strands of darkness scouring the muddy, forgotten bottom; Things stirring. Boney arms and witch-lit skulls. The Dread Things. Ancient accidents, gripped in the madness of their own final agony, are marching forward - clothes and darkened banners waving like seaweed as they approach the distant shore.
The first of the Dread Things now begininng to breech the waters...!

Kaiju. Sea Zombies. Forgotten Dead. Healer Tanks. Flesh Doll and Cyborgs, Ship Maidens and Ship Murders.
It's a mother fucking DROWNING DOOM CONCERT.
Alden The digimon is not really aware of how... durable a gem might be, nor the effect of the sheer rage and dispair produced by the music might have on her, so he takes a momentary truce with Sanary. He growls softly a reply, even as he dives to try and fish out, "I only want to stop Ophelia, she has to be stopped." he mumbles softly. And then something out of a monster movie happens and he just stops in place. While he is not very sure the reason, he has to guess it's the fault of the darn music. He aborts his dive and glares at the pirate ship, "Must stop her." he barks again, before turning his attention to the ship.

The digimon braces himself, "Katze, use the card' he mumbles as a flash of light happens on his back, "Devil chip!" comes from Katze. Anyone that might be able to sense him might notice something happening, a black glow wrapping around him, as he trades defense and some health for a burst of offense and speed, charging at the ship, releasing a single, bright beam of blue energy towards Ophelia, hoping to freeze teh Drowned Queen, or at least stop the song for a moment.
Razel     Razel looks briefly to Ophelia, just long enough to determine that she's not been too terribly rustled by the bombardment of the ship and the battle thus far. Once he's assured she's all right, he looks back to the forming battle. Thus far he's managed to keep to a support role, though once it becomes apparent that he's affecting the emotions of the ship, he's pretty sure that's going to change. Twisted variant of 'shoot the medic'. Though arguably Sanary qualifies more for that than he does.

Rose's appearance as the massive beast certainly draws his attention! If the loud roar hadn't been an indication, the sheer amount of anger the beast is displaying is enough to catch his attention. Still, as he takes stock of the battle, he seens Alden aiming at Ophelia. Now Razel isn't about to put himself between Ophelia and the blast. He doesn't like pain, after all, and that's ICE.

But he's not going to let her just get hit, either. He gets as near as he dares, and extends both hands before him, hoping to catch where the beam will pass through with that burst of flame. Perhaps it'll dampen the impact some.
Sanary Rondel And then Rose turns into a freaky monster thing. The healer's not at all ready to go through /that/ process again, so it's time to backpedal the hell away from that! Pumping energy into her anklets and cheating with the self-propelled loops around her gear once again, Sanary bursts out of the water with a mighty plooping noise as her shield breaks through the surface oft he ocean first, narrowly avoiding barreling right into Alden in the process. It seems he had the sense to stay out of the water, at least, and when he takes off to start shooting at Ophelia...

Sanary doesn't give chase. Razel's already on hand to protect her, and with Lima handling the heavy ordinance, that gives the healer a new job to focus on: Supporting the ship! Practically skimming the surface of the water in a maneuver that she definitely didn't practice for hours to try and look cool, the healer lands on Lima's ship with a mighty thud before bracing her shield against her shoulder and holding her hand against the deck.

And then a green light beam appears. It links her to the ship itself, granting the magical vessel access to her reserves and even helping it regenerate rapidly if it's capable of doing so. That's how ghost pirate boats work, right?
Kotone Yamakawa Flesh Doll

Flesh Doll had no idea about the Gems, and that was going to cost her. There's something coming out of the waves Flesh foll looks up at the thing that once was Rose.

"Now that's Metal..."

Her rants forgot about as here comes the horrible thorn-riddled monster thorntacles which are coming for her. Flesh Doll does attempt to get out of the wya but the thing tears into her flesh and she attempts to get her axe free to hack at the horrible plant Kaiju thing. She's in for a /very bad time/.

Kotone

Kotone meanwhile is opening ire on Ophelia's vessel and now she's managed to get close enough to let the torpedoes go. She gets no response and knows she's going to have to lay down a lot of fire but then something else comes, what the heck is going on there? She's forced to evade and break off her attack run due to Ophelia's minions.

"...is that all you have to say!"
Lima Ultimos The Coma Navaja is super pissed. It wails and creaks, having intense emotions. Both Razel and Ophelia's boosts increase the ship's firepower, and Sanary's makes it far tankier. Eight shots from Nagato fire at her: two are shot down by cannon fire, while the rest hit true, smashing up the hull. However, Sanary's boost to regeneration causes those holes to quickly knit back together.

As hell rains around them, Lima Ultimos was originally jovial. But Nagato antagonized him repeatecly in the worst way possible she insulted his ship. After the third time, he seethes, tearing his hat off, clmbing onto the wheel, and calling to everyone aboard. "Tonight, everyone of you working/ aboard me ship is a part of me crew. And tonight, the enemy has made a grave mistake: they insulted /our/ ship, and by extension, me crew."

"This will not stand. They will pay. Capture allbof them! Make them suffer! Light the cannons, fire the caltrops! We'll keelhaul every last one of em, until they scream, and uf they survive that, we'll leave their fate to God above! MAKE THEM PAY!"

The crew unites in their rage. The cannons are lit aflame and fired at all hostiles, including incoming fire. Caltrops are fired, hoping to chain around and sink flying targets. The Captain steers his ship with all his fury...

And it soars into the air, before darting forward, shattering the sound barrier and creating a massive shockwave in every directiob. The cannons rain hell on all threats.

And the Coma Navaja prepares to slam headfirst into Hikari, inevitably leaving destruction in its wake. May God spare them all.
Drowned Ophelia She's reaching it - she's hitting the climax. Climbing up that long winding, screaming rift twoards the finale, the Six Stringed Sorrow smoking, her own black ichor bubbling as it strikes the glowing strings. Her eyes are wild, open and crazed, hair flying in all directions as electricty crackles up and down her form. And she puts her leg upon the railing, smiling at Kotone below - it's not a smile of joy. There is no happiness in this thing; It's a predator's grin, the chuckling smirk of a crocodile at the water's edge.
"You left your fucking HEART for anyone to snatch, little girl; And I stole it away~"

Hand swings up once again - before the blast. That fucking dog-eared cold BLAST of pure ice. Razel's flames help; She feeds him as he feeds her, loathing and grief and hate in a maelstrom storm to match the crackling air above. But still - it was a break. The Queen of Tears folds in as the ICE BLAST hits, frost crackling up along blue skin. The Six Stringed Sorrow shattered - the storm above rolling and rumbling, neither retreating nor growing louder without Ophelia's soul thrashing sorceries to empower it. The Dread Things that walk out from the ocean towards the shores of the island pausing in their deathless march, silent snarls of open jaws and witchlit hissing. Blackened, rotted banners blowing in the storm's winds.

And then Kotone's torpedos shudders the deck below Ophelia, just as Lima TAKES THE FUCK OFF. Like a battered doll, the Queen of Tears is thrown from the surface of the ship and into the waters, half her form trapped in ice. Weakened by feeding all she had into her music, into her METAL, into Lima's ship itself.
But the show's not over -yet-.
Rose Quartz Rose has become little more than a massive, destructive, Kaiju-beast. The cannons fired only serve to annoy. But they do have on positive effect. While she can't tell friend from foe, her feral mind recognizes pain. The massive Thorn Tentacle Rose Kraken BEAST surges towards the ship. Even her powers are out of control, every plant for miles surging around her. Seaweed squirms up the sides of the ship, and tears at the cannons, trying to rip them out.

And here is where things start to get strange. Rose's command over plants is normally very precise, and she doesn't call out to dead or dying plants. But the odd interaction between her corrupted shape and her powers is calling to the ship. Even as she bears down on it, smashing at it with all her might and fury, she gives the ship a life and will of its own.

And she hasn't forgotten the Flesh Doll. Her tentacles surge around her, drawing her deep into the thorny bramble at Rose's heart. Long, evil looking thorns start to slowly grow through the doll's flesh, piercing it in a dozen places. For every tentacel that's sliced away, two more take its place. but Corrupted Rose is tough, and she struggles up through the pain, focused on her main target.

Ophelia. Drowned Ophelia. The source of that unholy, terrifying sound that continues to shake her very core and the sea about them. All her energy is focused on one single overriding goal. MAKE THE NOISE STOP

Of course, once Ophelia goes over the side, she loses interest in the ship entirely. Throwing itself from the ship, Thorn Kaiju Rose leaps after her. The music has stopped. It can't start again! She crashes down towards Ophelia's weakened, half-frozen body. All that remains is hate, rage, and pain, and the need to give it to others.
Alden The dog eared digimon might be too focused on trying to turn off Ophelia's music to realize that some of the cannon fire was moving a bit too close to comfort, and KAtze's panicked warnings were not enough to make the weakened digimon to move in time. He ends up entangled by the caltrops, and letting out a loud whine as he is swiftly, and roughly pulled down to the water... the lack of defense making teh hit a bit worst than it should!.

The robot wolf digimon flails for a few seconds against the weight, before he seems to remember something... his form glowing for an instant, before returning to his base shape, a much smaller critter, that easily slips out of the bindings, floating for a bit now.
Nagato     The shells are confirmed for hitting, even if a few got shot down before hand, but that's fine. Nagato's little night scout still hovers in the air, dodging caltrops and incoming fire, nimble little bastard that fairy and her plane is. After giving warning to her allied 'cruiser', Nagato's face turns into a scowl once more as the area is filled with a white light. Shells splash around her but the unlucky ones that sail farther from her smash again into Hikari, destroying landscaping, a multitude of anti air and anti ship batteries, and there's a LARGE explosion from the rear... the ammo storage well was struck and cooked off the ammunition and bauxite supplies and setting fire to some of the fuel supplies.

The white light dies off... and soon, Nagato's nowhere in sight, at least the 'human' part of her. That's sstored up deep within the hull of the battleship that has materialized out of thin air around the Admiral. There's an echoing voice as turrets reload, high explosive shells, designed to set fire to targets, are loaded... "Time to get serious." she mutters from deep within, a loud horn fills the air as an attempt to drown out the absurd music playing... and then.

CRACKOW! Eight more shells fired from full sized battleship cannons arc from the guns towards the Coma Navaja... who looks to be coming towards the Seaport. Secondaries start pelting everything within reach, spraying out flak and shells to any enemy target stupid enough to get close to the battleship, including trying to pelt smaller shells at Lima's ship. "I'm going to rip that wooden boat to shreds!"

That music, however, is having an effect on Nagato... the memories of her Abyssal time are riding to the top...
Sanary Rondel Alas, Sanary's not a complete monster (yet)! Not to people she likes or is ambivalent about, at least. That's why when she sees that telltale glow from Alden, she lets out a light sigh before directing a small cloud of healing energy over the edge of the Coma Novaja and towards the floating Digimon. It's not a huge amount of regenerative magic or energy, but it's something.

What is a little more monstrous is everything else going on around her. Shelling and gunfire and magic flying everywhere above her and Lima's ship, the kaiju battle between the transformed Rose Quartz and the amalgam creature Flesh Doll near the water, the blasts from above and below from Alden and Kotone throwing Ophelia right off the vessel...

There's just way too many things going on for Sanary to even attempt to focus her attention on. Alas, she'll just settle for destruction this time around, roaring out with the Coma Navaja's crew (or as part of its crew?) before pouring even more energy into augmenting the boat. Fixing it, feeding it power, all for the sake of getting back at Nagato and the Seaport! She even stands for a moment to fire off an explosive heat laser from her magitech eye at the transformed Fleet Daughter once Lima's boat is close, trying to ignite the deck before focusing her efforts on not getting crushed while bracing on the ghost ship's deck.

Secretly, though? She's just holding out a little hope that Akebono's not in there right now.
Drowned Ophelia The Queen of Tears floats, her form trapped in the ice. She's snarling, black hair plastered to her forehead - but she does not need air. She does not need food. She only needs the grief, the hate to drive her stone hard heart. Her other clawed hand rips and tears at the ice, shattering it away - and more of her own pale blue flesh. Her essence, the liquid Sorrow of Black Tears, spreads like ink around her as she bleeds - and she has only a moment to look upon the madness.

The flicker of lightning that shows the sillouette of combatants tearing and ripping at one another. The strobe of NAGATO'S CANNONS blasting and hammering the air with concussive blows to match the screaming drumset of the DEATH METAL CRESCENDO while a GHOST SHIP goes ram-first at sonic speeds to SHATTER THE FUCKING LIVING. And undead marines mill about on the shore, caught on the edge of their forward progress at the hesitation of their METAL.

It's something right out of an Alestorm album art.

And then a shadow eclipses the DEATH METAL QUEEN when KAIJU ROSE smashes into her. Her enraged screams lost to bubbles as she is forced under - but she is swirling in a miasma of her own blood. Her own BLACK TEARS. Madness; The cold comfort of forgetfulness, the pounding hate that someone, -anyone-, would dare take this the fuck away from her. She lifts her arms and screams once more, the ebon ichor slicing TOWARDS Rose Kaiju. Where it was once liquid, it is suddenly solid - solid as shards of razor glass, flying through the water to tear and rip and poison.

But that was all. That was it. Drowned Ophelia's eyes flicker as she floats, head tilting back. And begins to sink once again; Blue skin gone. Smaller, somehow - a thin, pale woman floating slowly downwards into the dark, brown tresses of hair covering her features - the currents tugging at her black T-shirt.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone

The reply that she gets from Ophelia, causes confusion for a moment in Kotone's mind a thought start to form but it's interupted by Admiral Nagato's call for support fire. She's going to do her damnest to help and since she was told to watch the Torpedos she's going to have to do that, she's certainly going to have to do that. She's going to have to watch her fire and er ont eh side of missing least she ends up hiting an ally with her guns. Should she get a chance she will make use of the Torpeods but she being caustious as she was told to do so.

"Wait are you saying...?"

Flesh Doll

Flesh Doll

Flesh Doll is not having a good time at all. Flesh Doll lets out a howl of rage and anger as she feels the throwns rippign into her.

"Again ... again... the universe would be better off without ... things ... like ALL OF YOU!"

She screams as the Axe is put into overdrive and she moves to rip herself free heedless of the injury it might cause her to do so in such a way.
Lima Ultimos Rose smashes into the ship. While the cannons are regenerating too fast to be smashed, they can't fire in the interim.

Nagato transforms into a fullblown battleship. Lima whistles, as he reaches the head of the ship. He'd tell his crew to get to safety, but he knows they'll refuse. They'll do this together.

"Ye are facing Lima Ultimos, tye Revenant Spaniard! Ye have made a sworn enemy. We will not stop until you sink! Bound gy yer laws, yer tyranny, ye think yenown these seas. But now ye'll see what happens when ye submit to hubris! May the lord have mercy on ye soul!"

The Coma Navaja has no intent on passing Nagato. Instead, it becomes a speeding bullet, the air lighting aflame from sheer friction.

And then it rams straight into Nagato, no worries about the impending heavy dajage. It,s going to crash ger straight into the port and destroy as much as possible.

Inbthe end, this is no mere toy.
Nagato     "You chose the wrong person to make an enemy! By the Imperial Japanese Navy, I, Admiral Nagato, WILL NOT YIELD!" she shouts, guns fire, secondaries are focused onto the Coma Navaja, and Nagato's not fast enough to get out of the way... nor would she with what's coming. She's trying to stave off what more damage but when the Coma Navaja strikes the Nagato's bow, the unthinkable happens.

The speed at which it rammed the Admiral sends the boat pushing through the water and up towards the land, destroying the ship's steel and the Port's frontal anti-ship and anti-air batteries, ammo cooks off and shrapnel blasts through the command facility and fire erupts through it, and the now beached Nagato. There's warning sirens but nothing from the Admiral herself. The ship, however...

There's a lot of damage to it, steel cracked and broken... by a wooden ship no less. Water floods the ship, fires spread through the inside, and if it was any normal ship, probably would be listing pretty heavily by now and sinking, but beached... it just stays where it is, creaking as if something might blow again.
Rose Quartz There's still a vague sense of Rose inside the monster, in its animal cunning. Oh it will release The Flesh Doll alright! The Flesh Doll will find itself a way out and sudden freedom... Right into the path of Ophelia's Final Strike! The beast will let Flesh Doll absorb the brunt of the attack. its bulk handles the rest, its body slowly healing. It's a slow, stuttering healing, barely enough to keep it moving. But move it does, lashing out at everything within its reach.
Sanary Rondel Should Sanary be getting off Lima's boat? Probably. Would it be a lot safer to be funneling her energy into it from behind or while flying or literally anywhere else besides standing on the deck that's getting bombarded with so much cannonfire? Much.

Sanary is not known for smart or strategic decisions, though, and today? Today, she just wants to indulge in some revenge, even if it carries the very serious risk of throwing herself overboard. And go overboard she does, between bracing for dear life just to not get blasted off by the shells taking off massive chunks of her armor and nearly taking her arm off from the constant blasts hammering at her shield and sides, and then suddenly stopping upon that massive impact of ship on ship. Thankfully, the side of the deck keeps her from hurtling right off the Coma Navaja outright, instead only slamming into that side and coughing out mouthful of blood.

"Kkh.. Th.. .That's what... That's what you...Get!" The healer practically spits those words out as she drapes herself over the side of the ghost ship, glaring defiantly at the Nagato and the Seaport. It's only adrenaline-fueled anger that keeps her awake long enough to gaze at the sight before her before dropping back onto the deck, content to draw her magic back into her and try to stem all that internal and external bleeding.

It'll be a while before she gets up again.
Steven Universe     And at this moment, as the horrific ocean battle grinds to a slow, agonized end, a roar pierces the air, the sound somehow opening a hole, a portal through which runs a pink Lion carrying a small boy. The Lion skids to a stop on the surface of the water, looks left then right, then at Rose. It seems nonplussed by the monstrous form, but then Lion seldom shows any actual concern. He's far too much a cat for such things.

"Lion, this is the ocean! I thought we were going to-waaaaah!" Steven cries out in fear/awe/confusion, Rose's Shield appearing instinctively on his left arm. Lion nimbly dodges between the lashing out attacks, though Steven seems to be barely holding on.

"Is that... Is that MOM?! No, Mom can't be corrupted!" he cries out, terrified of this possibility. "Mom, I'm coming to save you!"
Drowned Ophelia The Storm bulges once more, swelling outwards - before it flattens. A slow, gentle rain beginning to patter to the seething ocean below, churned by a KAIJU ROSE. The guns fall silent, the Cama Navaja shuddering and squealing as it pulls out of it's battered position with the NAGATO. Listing and lilting as it is drawn hard to starboard, curling in on its own tail as it heads for deeper waters - and we do mean DEEPER, fully intending to sink, with smoke and fire belching from damages too severe to regenerate. The battle to shatter the Imperial Navy here may be lost, but it sure as hell rang the fucking gong. All aboard~

The Dread Things remain upon the shore for a moment more, quizzically, as the rain begins to fall. And - one by one - they turn and begin walking clumsily back into the ocean. Some falling as they go, the witchfire that lit them - the hammer of Sorrow that drove them from their forgotten graves - dispersing as the DEATH METAL fades away.

Leaving only the monstrous confusion of a gem's broken mind and the innocent cries of a young boy for his mother.
Oh, and the hiss of rain and crackle of fires, but shh.
Rose Quartz The Rose Monster continues to rage, the hate and pain still twisting around in what used to be its mind. It flails, roars, and flings great thorns across the landscap. It hurts, it screams. It wants the pain to stop. The sound is over but the pain is still going.
Kotone Yamakawa Flesh Doll

Flesh Doll does get free but at a hell of a price as she goes flying vanishing under the waves. She does let out a cry of rage as she does so. Why? Because she's been caught in the attack and that's not fun, that's not fun at all. Is she dead? It's hard to tell with what has happened but soon there is no sign of Flesh Doll at all.

Kotone

Kotone seems to have done her job passingly at least she thinks so as she comes to a halt as she stares out at sea and what Rose has become.
Steven Universe     "Moooom!" Steven calls out, trying to reach Rose through the corruption, Lion staying close enough for Steven to reach out, but not quite in range of random pained flailing.

"Lion, we have to get closer! I'll bubble us if she tries to hit us, but I don't think she will, she's just hurting... Mom, let me try to help!" The small Gem-human hybrid tries desperately to reach his alternate mom, no real plan to help, only desperation.
Rose Quartz Rose Kaiju gives a great big roar and lashes out. Steven's bubble pops up right in the nick of time as a set of great thorny brambles wrap around the bubble. Steven and Lion get dragged into the heart of the mess, where a great lidless eye stares out, burning with rage and pain and HATE.
Steven Universe     Steven bangs on the bubble, though his own sense of self-preservation won't let him drop it with those thorny vines gripping.

"Mom, it's me! It's Steven! Look, see, I have the same gem as you!" he lifts his shirt to prove it. "You have to fight it! Please don't be corrupted! You're too amazing, and I won't let it happen! You weren't there for... so long... Don't leave again..." His small fists strike the bubble weakly, then turn into grasping fingers pressed against the surface. Tears drip off his face into Lion's mane, and even Lion looks somewhat worried.
Rose Quartz There's something in there. A spark of recognition as the great maw opens. "S... S... Steven..." it says, a sensation of horror shuddering through its entire body. Then there's a BAMF of displaced air, and, quite suddenly, Rose's gem and Steven are falling towards the ocean.
Steven Universe     Steven's bubble is gone in a heartbeat and he leaps off of Lion's back to catch the gem, cradling it like it's the most precious thing ever as he hits the water. Lion casually dips his nose in and comes back up with a spluttering Steven, suspended by the back of his shirt held in Lion's teeth. With a flip of his head, Lion tosses them onto his back again, glances back at the beached ship then roars another portal open and vanishes into it with his passengers.
