Owner Pose
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli was sitting on the edge of the fence, her feet dangling over the edge and lightly kicking out. At any moment she was mere inches from death. Except she could fly, so really, she was fine. Occasionally when the waves came, she would lift her hand up and the waves would shoot up higher than before, sending droplets of water cascading around her body in a spray of foam and water, glimmering light sparkling around her. She was... well...

Enjoying her alone time, for now. Her gem was healed, her body was strong. But she felt oddly... hollow. Her experiences with that creature had her doubting herself. She would never, ever do what it said. But what if it was true? Steven was only human, after all. He was so weak, so delicate. So easily lost. Granted, she was hardly the most durable gem to have ever existed. But she was still not that easily broken. He couldn't even breath in space! I mean, who can't do such a simple thing?
Alden Beach city! so far, it seemed to live to it's name, a rather pleasant place to be, even if he might get a few stares from some people around, the small digimon doing his best to be polite and nod to them, he even tried to get some snacks, and thinks some teen took like a billion photos, mumbling something about a blog. Katze is there too, and she draws a few cute remarks, then again, being a tiny catgirl that keeps making 'nya' noises, helps to make you look cute. Eventually, the two decide to head to the lighthouse, with Katze complaining about things like 'why we don't do this more often' and similar remarks.
Athela Valemore A city with 'beach' in the name sounds like the sort of place one would find a person familiar with the seas. Though technically it was by happenstance that she wandered into this aptly named villa. While it wasn't necessary Keldeo had taken it upon himself to be guardian of the waterways of the Multiverse as well, and it was in that which simply exploring where said waters lead that Athela had come upon this new region.

Well that and the waves occasionally surging stronger than natural had also gotten her attention. Okay, it got the attention of her companion that was sensative to such things, and it was that creature that resembled a blue fox with fins for ears and a dolphin tail that was leading Athela towards the lighthouse. "Ah, even in these strange lands, a familiar sight!" Relatively speaking. Lighthouses are still in common use back home.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked a few times and glanced back. She swore if it was Ranaldo again he was going in the ocean. She didn't CARE if he was Steven's friend. If he called her a scout for the sea banshees ONE MORE TIME--

Oh, wait. No. It was something else. What was it? A... dog? "Ah. Hello, little doggy," she said with a smile. "And..." A human. A little tiny cat human. She wasn't familiar enough with humans to say if that was normal. Perhaps it was a child? She wasn't aware that humans could mate with other creatures, but then she knew next to nothing about how their actual mating worked, so she supposed it didn't matter. She held her hand out to it none the less with a smile. "Are you lost, little thing?"
Alden Alden is more of a lizard thing, wearing a dog/wolf pelt, at least for the time being. Still, he is used to confusion from others by now, and at least this... blue human? seemed polite enough. He smiles and shakes his head, "Nah, I am not lost, thank you for asking tho." he asks, glad that Lapis was friendly, "I'm Alden, a digimon." he explains. Katze looks curiously at the blue girl, tilting her head a bit, and gracefully jumping down from Alden's head, she almost looks like she had Rose's floating powers as she did so. "I'm Katze, nice to meet you." she offers, tail swishing around.
Athela Valemore The lighthouse comes into full view with the approach.. and others already gathered by it, it would seem. One of them is vagely familiar, though the last time she saw Alden he was larger and spitting ice. The young lady he's speaking to is unfamiliar, but Athela surmises she must be local. Which.. is both accurate and really inaccurate depending on how you look at it, but that's things for later.

"Heel," she remarks to the Vaporeon, whom obediantly keeps at her side instead of running off as Athela stops and executes a brief bow to the duo (trio? Katze is easy to miss). "Good evening."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nods. "Oh? A digimon? I'm not familiar with that breed. I didn't know dogs could talk on this planet." Ah, alien. Makes sense. As much as anything else in this dimension at least. "Iam Lapis Lazuli. A lapis lazuli. Oh! Right. Steven said... gifts? Hold on." She held out her hand and then slowly the waters below rose up. A massive orb of water, the size of a large shed, rose up with fish inside it. Most of it falls away until only a single grey mullet remains. She then holds the much smaller orb out and smiles. "Here. Dogs eat fish, yes?" she asked. Completely and utterly clueless.

And then the girl appeared. She cringed and looked over. "I swear, human, if you--" Then blinked. Oh, not Ronaldo. She instantly smiled. "Ah! Hello. Are you here to admire the waves as well?" Then looks down to Vaporean. "Oh! Another dog." A moment later a second fish would be offered. "Here. A 'gift' as Steven calls them."
Alden Alden blinks a bit at the display of water powers, "A lapis lazuli..." he muses, it's clear that it must be some kind of alien, or just non human, "That's amazing!" he says, and blinks as he is offered the fish, "Thank you Lapis, I do eat fish actually, but usually I cook it first, I haven't had fish in a while." he offers. This digimon is certainly optimistic. "Wish I had a fire to cook it in, or a place to store it." he muses. Katze grins and nods, "How did you do the thing with the water?".

Alden smiles and turns to offer a wave to Athela, remembering her as well, "Hello!" he greets, lizard tail wagging. Katze gets rather curious about the water puppy, and approaches the vaporeon, "Katze, be careful." he warns the Shinki.
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore starts back upright when Lapis' initial response is terse... but then it turns out to be some kind of misunderstanding at first. "I am sorry miss, I did not mean to startle ye..." Then the gem does her version of fishing and Athela's eyes widen, impressed. "By the stars! I did not expect to find another Tide Caller amongst the varied lands!"

The fish is snatched up happily by the vaporeon, nomming on it about as cutely as one can imagine. She can be cute, yes! Maybe not quite as cute as when she was an eevee, but still cute. She is too busy nomming the gift to be bothered by the shinki getting curioused.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli stared for a few moments before shrugging. "I am a lapis lazuli, abilities like this are something we all share." She glanced back out towards the ocean. "Besides, this is my ocean. Sorta. I mean, technically it's this planet's ocean. But the humans here don't seem to care much for it, so I am currently owning it. But only for Steven. He lives near the ocean, you see. I can't let anything else happen to it, after all."

"A... Tide caller? I'm afraid I haven't made any calls? I think you may have me confused with someone else? I am Lapis Lazuli, a lapis lazuli. A pleasure." The wings sprouted from her back and she leaped forward, falling only a few feet before catching herself and flying back over the fence. "Oh! um... human, would you like to hear a joke? I know one Steven absolutely loves!" she said proudly. "I've, in fact, mastered the basis of human humor!" Oh dear.
Alden The digimon nods, and looks for some wood to use to cook the fish, or somewhere to hold it!, he can't carry it with him all teh way back home!. He looks back at Lapis, "Thank you for the gift, but I think that other dog might enjoy it more." he says, and moves closer to Athela and offers the food to the water pokemon. Meanwhile Katze decides to approach the 'cute' vaporeon's owner, "What kind of dog is it?" she asks.
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore glances down for a moment as the mere-fox all too happily snatchs the second offered fish. "Sprite is a Vaporeon, a Water-type evolution of the Eevee you probably previously saw at mine side." Then she turns her attention back to Lapis, and in a moment of embarassment rubs a hand back over her reddish locks. "My apologies, Miss Lazuli. I was using terminology I am familiar with." She does another short bow. "I am Dame Athela Valemore. As for 'Tide Caller'..."

As she stands back upright Athela holds up one hand, making a partial clenching gesture as swirls of a watery effect ripple around the outheld appendage. "Is what my people call the ones whom can guide the tides as I, and apparently yourself, are capable of."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked and then stepped forward, grabbing the girl's hands. Her eyes are wide and she actually looks excited. "Humans can do this too? I didn't think you creatures were capable of such feats? What else can you do? Have you ever been to any of the other planets around here? I went to mars a few thousand years ago and they had so much water then, but it's gone now. Does your universe have other planets with them?" Ttoally invading privacy spaces. "I didn't think anyone else in this planet had powers like--" She paused. "You do not have any desire to subjugate or enslave this planet, do you?" She just completely ignored the two dogs now.
Alden Alden opens his eyes wide at the display, "That's really neat." he says softly, moving next to the mer dog and waggin ghis tail, "All I can do in this form is breath fire." he says softly, listening curiously at the conversation. The Shinki inches closer, but at least is smart enough to let the Vaporeon finish eating before making it all the way to it's side.
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore makes a bit of a surprised sound, though less at Lapis grabbing her hand and more at the sudden change in the blue-tinted woman's demeanor from reserved to excited. She's gotten everything from amazement to prejudice for her abilities so she takes most of it in stride though. "Some humans can learn to commune with the elements, at least where I am from." She's not entirely sure on the planets question. There are some astrologists that claim there are more objects in the sky over Bayern than the sun and moon, sure, and even claim some pokemon are not of the earthly realm. But she never really paid it considerable mind. "I.. have been to other worlds of the Multiverse?" Is that what she meant. "I come from one different than this one, I was merely exploring other places the waters lead to."

Sprite opens one almond-shaped eye a bit at the approach, but as long as they're going to let her finish she's not going to set them on ice or anything.

The last question gets more of a gasp of shock out of Athela though, as she lightly tugs her hand free of the grip finally. "What? Of course not! As a knight it is my sworn duty to protect the realms and those whom live in them!"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli smiled none the less. "That's wonderful! I wish to visit your planet, then! Your world! Is it as overflowing with life and water as this one?" she asked with the biggest smile, then paused. She looked a little nervous. "Have... err... you met with Steven while here? Has he... mentioned me, or any of them mentioned me, by any chance?" Well, now she looked a tiny bit worried.

Not like she'd ever done anything wrong or terrible or nearly evil before. Nope, she was totally, completely innocent and had never done anything wrong. Then those words made her blink. "A... knight? Like... Pearl?" She took a small step back, her arms wrapping around herself. "I... I see..."
Alden The digimon finally lets the two talk for note, taking notes, one might say, never know when it might help to learn more about either of them!. He smiles to Lapis, "I met Steven, he is a very nice boy." he says, "He was with... Rose I think.". The Shinki inches closer, and reaches one small hand, clearly going to pet Sprite, if there is no protest.
Athela Valemore "But of course! I grew up along the ocean. And Sprite here," Athela jestured a hand at the Vaporeon. "Is but one example of the great many Pokemon that inhabit Bayern. Alas, as we were just exploring I doth not brought the others with me."

Sprite yips softly as she's mentioned, but doesn't figit when she's petted. She's very well trained it would seem. And probably feels a little odd to pet. She might look liked a finned canid but she has smooth, slightly moist skin instead of fur. Very hydrodynamic.

Athela cants her head a little to one side, noting the shift in Lapis' demeanor again. But she is too polite to just comment on it out of the blue. "I have not yet met this 'Steven', though I believe I have heard the name mentioned."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli lets out a sigh of relief, before smiling. "Then... I would very much like to visit your world. If that's okay? If it is as overflowing with water as this one, I am sure it is a truly majestic and marvelous place." She gave a soft sigh. They weren't aware of what the gems truly were, at least. So she didn't need to worry about driving them off with that.

"I imagine there are other... knights there as well, yes?" Her eyes narrowed slightly. "And whoever it is you protect. Your own little Rose," she grumbled darkly.
Alden Alden spent a few moments admiring the vaporeon, since it's the first pokemon he is this close, without being involved in a fight. He even pets Sprite once, but he stops and focus on Lapis when she seems somewhat distressed, "Something wrong?" he asks. The Shinki lets out a cute 'oooh' as she pets the smooth/wet dog, and seems to have no issue with it, "Good... girl?" the shinki tries at random.
Athela Valemore "Deep with their own menagerie of life while great ships of trade sail their rolling waves." Athela does blink a little at the muttering about roses, but snickers softly at it. "No, milady, my patron is the guardian of tides and coasts. Virizon is the keeper of plants and forests." Yeah, she did not realize that Rose was a name and not just refering to the flower. Idly she dismisses the water still rippling around her one hand, causing a small scattering of droplets through the air.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli grumbled and crossed her arms. "I see. So just like that knight I imagine you swear allegiance to her and only her. Probably mope and pout whenever she--" Then blinked. "Oh, wait, humans don't fuse. What do you do instead of fuse? Ah. The pining hearts thing. That does remind me, I need to speak with PEridot about... right. So, i may travel to your world, correct? There's not a very far distance from here to the nearest portal. How far is it to fly there?" And then ganced down to Alden. "I am fine, doggy."
Alden The digimon tilts his head a bit, and smiles at being called doggy, he has no real issues with the nickname, honestly. "Ok, was curious since you seemed to get upset when Athela talked about her order." He gets up after a bit longer, and motions Katze to get up, "Aww, but i want to keep petting the wet puppy." comes from the Shinki. He chuckles a bit and nods, "Ok, just remember that the puppy is not yours, it's hers." he says, pointing to Athela. He takes a moment to admire the view of the ocean.
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore almost comments on the wrong pronoun use, then mentally stops herself with a reminder that technically the great Legendaries don't have a gender in the first place, it's just a perception of mannerisms. So instead she just ahs softly. "Fuse?" Pining hearts? Fortunately the conversation also swings back into less awkward territory. "While my oath is to Keldeo himself, yes, a Legendary hardly needs the help of a mortal for protection. My duty as his champion is to protect the weak and innocent, and serve justice upon those whom would threaten such safety." She's at least trying to explain it in a less confusing way. "Uh, as I have no pokemon capable of flying I would not knowth, but the warp gates can eventually get one there, yes. Convenient means of travel as they are." Waves a hand out at the ocean past the cliff, and smiles a bit. "Of course, I prefer the way of the waves, myself."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli glanced towards the ocean. "Way of the waves? Is there a portal there? I thought I had searched the ocean well enough for one. To imagine there was one still hiding there..." She mumbled. "You have no what capable of flight? Oh! Like your dog, correct? I suppose if it came to it, I could fly you. But I don't think I could fly both you and your dog..." She said softly. "I suppose we would have to walk." She rubbed her chin. "Pearl was hardly needed by Rose, either. Didn't stop her from whing about it." She grumbled. someone was bitchy. "Oh! Wait, while you are visiting. Would you like to partake of a few of this world's customs?"
Athela Valemore Okay that seems to have gone over well enough. And Lapis' response actually helps explain things a little better. Athela actually wrinkles her nose a little with a snort. "I hath known a champion or two that put too much interest in the service of just one noble rather than for the people." She keeps her composure but there is a hint to her tone of voice that she doesn't sound fond of that idea, either. But that is neither here or there. Especially when there are more interesting and friendly topics to converse about instead. "Yes, Pokemon come in many forms and types. Perhaps when you visit you will see more of the many others." The young knight nodding her head a bit. "But for now we be here. And as they say one does not truely experience a new land until they partake of the local activities."

Sprite has no problem with all the attention she's getting from the tiny robot girl. <3
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded and then moved to the edge of the cliff. "Then how about you all come with me? We can travel through the waves as you say, and I will show you the great pleasures this world has to offer. It is really quite exciting, I think you'll agree."

She was going to make them watch hours of sitcoms.
Alden Alden gets up slowly, and perks one ear, "Oh?, they can change forms?" he asks Athela, and looks back at the content vaporeon. He mumbles something about overly attached knights and champions, having met his fair share of them. But he does not pursue the topic either, "I can fly myself, but I am not very good on the water." he says softly. He tilts his head a bit, "That sounds good, I'd like to learn more." he says excitedly. Katze seems too happy petting the Vaporeon, "Can i get a puppy?" she suddenly asks.
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore gives a short whistle and Sprite, somewhat reluctantly, gets up from letting the Shinki fawn over her to pad after Athela as she steps up next to Lapis. "Ready when ye are, miss." She's ridden upon her pokemon enough times on the sea, how different can this be?
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded and then turned. She lifted her hands up and... there was a rumbling. After a few moments, off in the distance was... was that a tidal wave? Oh, that was most definitely a tidal wave. ACK A TIDAL WAVE! And then it crashed against the beach... only going as far as the five of them. It swept them up in a moment, drawing them into a swirling mass of water and foam. Then, after a few minutes... they were dropped on the beach. Lapis, of course, looked fresh as a daisy. She wasn't even dripping wet. Then again, she was a gem, even her clothes. "There, now follow me!" Leading them up to the temple.

She didn't even notice the state the others would be in...
Alden Alden seems to remember something, and finally gets up as well, reaching to help Katze back on his head, "Actually, I need to get going, things I have to do, to prepare for... this sunday." he explains. He goes quiet at the display of water, blinking a few times, and before he can protest, he is forcibly pulled underwater and draggged!, he hopes Katze is waterproof!. The two emerge without much damage, if soaked. "Like I was saying... first, that was really cool... second, I really need to run and take care of stuff, but do hope to see you again, LApis."
Athela Valemore On the other hand, this turns out to be a bit more awkward than Athela anticipated. She's use to Surf being done atop her Samurott, not riding the wave -directly-. Even if Keldeo's blessings include being able to walk on water. Fortunately the trip down is pretty short and sweet, but it's not without Athela landing on her rump instead of her feet. Slightly embarassing, though she laughs it off softly. "Your control of the water is much more grand than my own. I could never conjure a wave of such magnitude."

Her Vaporeon, on the other hand, shakes off a bit but is no more phased than Lapis is. Then again, she is practically one with water as a whole, that was much less jarring to her.

"Take care, Alden." Athela has seen the recent reports, she can only imagine what it is Alden has to get ready for. Certainly a noble cause in itself.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked and glanced to the gabumon. "Oh? Well, it was a pleasure to meet with you, doggy. You should return! Steven would most likely love to meet with you again." She then turned towards the girl and smiled. "Now, come! I will show you the grandest traditions this world has to offer!" Oh, dear! such magnificence! ... She basically sat the girl down on the couch and turned the tv on. She sat with her feet on the couch, pulled up to her chest. She started from the beginning, of course. "I've almost finished with this series, of course. It is such a nice series."
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore shifts a little to make herself comfortable. Good thing couchs are padded. And she's not wearing, like, full plate armor or something. That just gets too awkward. "Ah, it is one of those devices that shows the moving pictures." She at least knows what a TV is from previous experiences. Sprite hops up in her lap and Athela oofs softly as the vaporeon curls up there. "Keep forgetting you are not so tiny and light now," she jokes, even as she rests one hand to scritch behind Sprite's fins.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nods and glances over. "Hmmm? Oh, can it shapeshift as well?" She smiled to the woman before staring at the show. She seemed to really be enjoying herself, albeit it was such a simple show. After a while, though, she got up and made some popcorn, returning with it. She held it out. "Humans need to eat, riht?"
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore takes a moment to not confuse herself over Lapis' question. "Many pokemon start in a smaller form, then evolve into a larger and a stronger one when they mature... Though yes, in a manner she can shapeshift. Vaporeons are able of becoming akin to water themselves." It's a good thing the show isn't complicated (other than it's ever branching romances) because then Athela would get confused! "This fellow must be quite the noble if so many of the ladies are allured to him... Oh, thank you." She takes a handful of popcorn.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded and stared at the show as she watched. "Indeed. I've learned so much from this show about how humans do romance. It is similar to fusion. For example, one of the two must be stronger than the other, at least mentally, to properly beat them down into submission and maintain control at all times. They must be of different colors, as well, in order to maintain that competitive spark so when they fight, they'll fight at their hardest."
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore raises a brow at Lapis when she mentions fusion again, this time equating it to some kind of romantic relationship. And maybe mentally wince a little at the 'beat them into submission' part. Though she's never really been that sort of relationship. "Fusion?" She asks. Though not taking her gaze from the TV as she helps herself to some more popcorn. "What exactly do you mean by fusing, Lapis?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked a few times. "Ah. Right. Humans do not experience fusion, do you? It is where two or more gems become one. They fuse together and gain more power, allowing them more power and skills. Our minds and bodies become one. however, during this process is a constant fight and struggle for control, to make the other submit so we can stop them from... doing things." Her mood darkened slightly. "It is not a pleasant experience. I believe it is quite similar to what you humans call romance. Another human I know said it is even like love."
Athela Valemore Athela Valemore ooohs. "Yes, we do not physically conjoin in such a manner.... But I can see how the comparison to romance could be made." She frowns a little. "Sometimes even it is not love at all, simply the desire to make one do as the other wishes for their own advantages. Marriage to a woman only to get access to their family lands and resources.... Which would be similar to fusing to use someone else's skills, if you can win the battle for dominance?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "Indeed. I... recently was in such a state." She stared at the screen. "It... felt..." She looked around. "Good." Steven wasn't around. "To crush Jasper. To control her. To tear her apart and beat her down. To get vengeance on her for all she did to me.' A low grin snaked across her face. "I can see why humans would like such things. It is dangerous... but... that feeling of control... the ability to hurt them the way they hurt you..." Okay, Athela migggggght be in a little danger. She then shook her head. "B-but... that's over now. I... I don't intend to fuse again. Not... ever again."
Athela Valemore Prehaps a bit surprising that the look of concern that Lapis gets from the redhead is more concern for her than Athela's own safety. This unusual alien woman has been through a harrowing experience, if she is connecting the right meaning from the comments. "So you paid her back in the way she treated others." Then she looked back to the TV and the teenage drama antics. "That... is what it takes to deal with that sort of person, alas. They only understand the same language that they speak... But in doing so, one must be cautious to not become the very thing they sought to punish."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded and hugged her knees tighter to her chest. "Yes. But... now... I worry about Garnet. What has she done... how can she even stand to still be connected with... her other part? Both of them together and..." She shook her head, then gasped. "Let's... keep watching, okay? This is one of my favorite parts." She said with a big grin. And soon... she kept doing that. Every time the other girl would try to speak, she'd just... interrupt her. Obviously trying to just distract her with the show. Such a subtle gem.
