Sanary Rondel It's a regular old day in one of the quieter parts of Urbania, with civilians going about their daily lives shopping at a nearby supermarket chain while others choose from a variety of local eateries catering to all sorts of palates.Today's gathering is set at a local pizza parlor with it's own dining area in the back, perfect for cheap parties and get togethers after a promotion.

Alternatively, it can be a place for enemies to meet without worrying about each other starting a scene. Maybe. At least, that's what Sanary warned against over the Confederate comms before showing up here, wearing something a little less business and much more like she's just come out to grab a bite to eat before buying groceries for the week.

It's right there, anyway. It'd be a wasted trip if she didn't. For now, though, she's just waiting in that dining area, hunching over a bit while sipping from an orange cream soda bottle. She looks nervous, but at least she's not armed!
Yari Takane Yari's here too, perhaps to little surprise. She'd insisted on coming, given just who's going to be showing up. She wouldn't put it past the Admiral to try to glass the place to get at the Feds. Or try something shadey.

Really, the ninja's just still salty about that arm. Making matters worse, Sanary says they can't cause a scene. So no rigging the building to blow or flood with deadly neurotoxin in case the Union got up to tricks. So here she is, in a blue-and-black cheongsam with her hair done up in a bun with two black chopsticks in her hair. Nice heels, too!

She's definitely armed, but she's a ninja. Also those two chop sticks are poisoned. Just in case.

The ninja, right beside Sanary, idly sips her vodka and juice as she scans the entrance. "I still say we should have at least have put a magitek reaper outside in case of any mages or fighter jets." Frown. Yari is a nervous, unhappy, scowling ninja right now.
Nagato     A regular old day in Urbania... it's quiet-ish, with civlians wandering around doing their thing, letting the battleship admiral make her way to the desginated location. A shimmer of light upon her earring lets her know she'll be safe just in case the Confederate people decide to do something. Her steps /are/ heard, probably much to the dismay ofa certain Ninja and a certain PIG FARMER.

Nagato blatantly sits down in front of Sanary, a frown upon the Admiral's face. She's in a different mode of dress today, a nicely tailored suit. "Sanary..." she starts, ... then she looks towards Yari, frowning. "Lizard." she comments with spite in her voice... "What is it that you wish to speak about, make it quick, I've no time for Confederate lies."
Uriel and Qemuel     Leaning back in their chairs, the twins are here too, and having a drink. Both of them sip almost in unison, despite the dark/light thing they have. Dressed casually in shirt and jeans, they're relaxed and watching as people arrive... with Qemuel, the dark-haired and dark-skinned one, pointing to each new arrival and saying something.

"Six," she says at Yari's entrance.

A pause, and then... "F-fooour?" That's to Nagato.

Uriel, watching this, just tsks. "I'm not going to tell you, there's no point in making the guesses."

Qemuel goes right on doing this anyway.
Sarracenia      Princess Sarracenia has joined Sanary and Yari on this little endeavor. Sarra isn't sure what Sanary hopes to accomplish, but the princess is usually willing to give diplomacy a chance. She huffs softly at Yari. "Your rash actions are what caused the friction between Sanary and Nagato in the first place. We do not need more of your help, just your support." she says, perhaps a bit harshly.

Sarracenia resumes sipping politely on her own soda, strawberry flavored. Nagato's entrance and venom make it clear that they are unlikely to make much headway with whatever it is Sanary is trying here, but the princess just sighs softly. She is here only for support as well, not as a mediator or negotiator.
Taro     There is also a priest in the dining area, one that's nursing a glass of iced tea and paying far more attention to the e-reader in his left hand than to the slice of plain cheese pizza on the table in front of him. Pay no attention to him.
There's also a twinkling blue mote of a cyber-elf hanging out on top of the sign in front of this particular establishment. Pay no attention to it, either.
Taro earlier offered a brief prayer to the CyberGoddess that this meeting would go peacefully. However, between the fickleness of that particular deity even she was listening and the fickleness of the multiverse in general, he came prepared just in case things did not. Thus, there's a first aid kit tucked away in the sachel on the floor by his chair.
Yuna Kagurazaka If the Confederacy was worried about Union skulduggery, then something is about to happen which will either lay their fears to rest or confirm them beyond all doubt, and it depends entirely on their opinions of one girl.

"Hey Sanary, Yari! How've you two been doing?" Yuna greets the two Confederate Elites as she strolls in behind Nagato. "I haven't eaten here before, but I hear the pizza is really good - especially the Harvest Delight Special. Corn, potatoes, sweet peppers, onions, mushrooms ... they've even got a 'sausage' that's really just tofu, but if you didn't know better you'd think it was real meat-based sausage."

Yuna Kagurazaka smiles brightly, waving to Uriel and Qemuel and Taro, then - perhaps belatedly - bowing properly to Sarracenia, recognizing the princess from a passing meeting, at another business many months ago. Only after she's made some kind of greeting to the others present does Yuna take a seat, next to Nagato if there's room.
Iria Coming in behind Yuna is Iria, wearing her bounty hunter attire since she's been on the job all day, and has apparently worked up an appetite while being on the job. She stretches her arms over her head and sighs a little as she walks in behind Yuna. She looks around as she enters and nods a little. "Should've invited Kei to come with me, but oh well," She says to herself, although Yuna might hear it. She takes a seat next to Yuna if it's possible.
Yari Takane Yari somehow manages to scowl even harder as Nagato shows up, and Sarracenia chides her. Nagato just gets a hateful glare and a clenched fist. After all, this is all Sanary's game right now.

Sarracenia instead gets a terse defense. "Rash? I targeted ranking officers and military structures in assisting our allies. Nothing more. That's called doing my job."

At least Taro's here. That's a bloody relief. The two angels get a nod, though the numbers have her squinting.

And then there's Yuna. Her look is conflicted as usual, but she manages something akin to a smile. She likes the woman, but there's still that lingering feeling from her actions alongside Nagato and Momoyo.

Still, she can't really /hate/ her. "Miss Yuna. I'm alive, and mostly in one piece." A sharp look to Nagato. 'No thanks to you', her gaze screams.

"I'm glad to see you're doing alright." The woman sounds honest enough on that part.
Sanary Rondel Should those mixed greetings and all the people that clearly aren't regulars be worrying the owners of this pizza place? Maybe. They aren't, though, because today's pizza is being paid for by...

CREDIT CARD: The magical goodies creator. Sanary's ordered plenty of specialty pies to go around for whoever decides to show up in addition to the usual cheese and pepperoni fare: Hot sauce with chicken, fresh mozarella and vodka sauce, fried calamari, and even white pies and chicken broccoli pies with alfredo sauce for people with acid reflux or an aversion to tomatoes! Plus, that previously mentioned Harvest Delight special in for the vegetarians in here. They're standing to make a lot of money today!

"Ah, it'll be fine. This isn't a war zone. If they want to start something inf ront of all these people, that's on them." Sanary replies to Yari with a nervous chuckle and another sip. The thought's certainly crossed her mind, but... Well. It's too late to get her gear together now! At least she's got plenty of backup in the form of Yari, Sarracenia, Taro, and the twins around this place!

Good thing, too, seeing as how it seems as how Nagato's brought her own also just in case. "Nagato." She responds curtly to the Admiral, suddenly feeling a tad underdressed compared to... Well, everyone. Too late to change now! "Yari." She correct her just as curtly, then sighs and leans back in her seat.

No eye laser. No eye laser. Soda helps! No eye laser. Yuna's greeting actually seems to get her to relax a bit, at least, as she nods at the singer and even manages a light chuckle. "Yeah, the pizzas'll be coming out any second now. Ordered a lot, so eat up!"

And with the pleasantries done with, she turns back to Nagato with a more serious look. "Alright. I want to call a truce. Not completely or anything, but..." IS that even the right word? Just run with it. "... We keep any fighting professional. We do our jobs, we fight if we have to, but... We don't go after each other personally. How's that sound?"

     How vague.
Uriel and Qemuel     Qemuel flutters fingers at Yuna in a hello, but Uriel just stays there, with arms crossed. The blonde young woman doesn't greet anyone else either, though she's obviously looking at everyone coming in. Socialization is left to her dark-haired sister.

"Seven," Qemuel declares firmly about Yuna, "Five," concerning Iria. "Six," at Sarracenia.

Uriel still isn't grabbing the bait.

Qemuel snorts at Sanary's suggestion, but it doesn't sound dismissive so much as annoyed. She's the one that rises to her feet and wanders over to loiter around with the others. And no, she doesn't have her wings out. Though oddly she seems to be skirting away from Taro.
Taro     Taro gives a curt nod to Yuna in response to her greeting, then flicks the e-reader's screen to advance the page. His faintly dour expression remains unchanged, which makes it hard to say whether the android priest is really engrossed in whatever it is that he's reading, or whether he's paying any attention to what's going on to the side of him, or if he's feigning lack of interest by reading. The slice of pizza remains untouched, regardless.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia just rolls her eyes lightly at Yari, but doesn't continue that argument for now. Instead, she curtseys to Yuna in return and offers a light wave to the others present, even if she doesn't know them. Sanary presents the subject of the gathering today, and Sarracenia raises an eyebrow. She isn't sure Nagato will even entertain such an idea. The boat woman strikes her as the vengeful sort. Much like herself. But, she isn't about to say that.

Instead, she turns to Qemuel and hmphs indignantly. "Six? I am a ten! If that is not obvious, then you must need corrective lenses." she says, giving her hair a flick before turning back to Nagato. "Surely a modified cease fire is beneficial to both parties." she says to Nagato in an amicable voice.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Well enough," Yuna answers Yari, a little wryly. "Between rehearsals, classes at Beacon, and the occasional incident I get caught up in responding to, I'm almost surprised I've been getting enough sleep. It really is good to see you still among the living, though."

Sanary's proposal at least gets Yuna to think it over, albeit with a slight upwards quirk of her eyebrows. "So, we might wind up fighting as part of our respective factions, but we don't go out of our way to pick fights with each other outside of that?" She nods slowly, "Sounds good to me. And if - for some reason - we *want* to throw down, we could always agree to some kind of 'match' - make it formal and non-lethal."

Then she glances at Qemuel. ".... what are the numbers for, if you don't mind my asking?" she inquires with a slightly sheepish smile.
Nagato     Nagato's never had pizza before, even when she was in the Infinite Stratos academy. She eyes everyone on the Confederate side... oh how she wished she could call in the First and Second Carrier Divisions to just bomb this place with all them in it, however, seeing as this is a public place, the negative press would be .. bad. And there's Yuna here, must be good... must be good otherwise no escort cruiser.

Nagato takes a sip of tea, listening to Sanary and her face scowls with every word she says... "A ... modified cease fire? A truce? You dare... you dare request my presence and request a truce after your PET LIZARD nearly murdered me and both of you and your Confederate allies causing severe damage on multiple occasions to Hikari?" a fist hits the table, "And you want me to sit down, like a good little cat and curl up and purr at this?" she turns to Yuna, who's readily taking the suggestion better than she is...

"You've no ground to stand on for this basis." she had her earring on her, her summoning device for the Yugana Kaze. She could just end Sanary and Yari right here. The thought was tempting, to send them to the depths but once again, public... and /she/ made the unarmed request. "Under what manner of thought did you even suggest that this was something I would agree to?"
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna winces abruptly as Nagato ... well, blows up. Maybe she should have expected the battleship girl to react that badly. "Nagato -" Yuna starts, her voice raised a bit, but still addressing her by name, *NOT* as 'Admiral'. This isn't being a light cruiser under her command, this is being a friend and, hopefully, a voice of reason.

"If you still want to 'balance the scales' or something, to avenge the damage that's been done to Hikari and the fleet daughters under your command ... technically, they've attacked the port and its defenders as Confederate actions against a strategic ally of the Union. What Sanary is suggesting is - if I understand it right - halting the cycle of revenge that we've got going. They hurt you, you lash out at them, you hurt them, they lash out at you, they hurt you .... it just keeps going, keeps feeding on itself. If you keep counter-attacking out of pride or out of revenge, then it's never going to *stop* feeding into that same cycle. Sanary sounds like she wants to break that cycle right here and now. They won't go after you individually any more, or after Hikari Sea Port, and they're asking you - or us - not to single them out or go after them the way we did."

Yuna turns further in her seat, looking up at Nagato, trying to look into her eyes. "She's not saying 'we never fight each other again,' because the Union-Confederate war may make that inevitable. We probably *will* wind up fighting each other, odds are ... pretty high, really, that we'll wind up on opposite sides of the same battles."

She glances at Yari and Sanary, "Like when you two were groupie-ing for that death-metal woman. I didn't actually realize it was you until Elner showed me images while we were working on the report." And Yuna personally had bigger fish to fry than either of them ... like a 'death-metal woman' trying to wring her neck for singing back at her.
Iria Iria was about to speak, but when Nagato blows up, her demeanor changes a little bit. She folds her arms and narrows her eyes a little, as if disapproving of what she's doing. She looks to Yuna and nods her head a little as if to agree about what she's saying. Granted, she's never met Nagato, but there are times where Iria tends to get involved in things she shouldn't without realizing it...
Sanary Rondel What's with the numbers? Sanary's got some vague idea, but she can't be sure just yet. She does suppress a snicker at Sarracenia's response, though, but she is trying not to show it considering the more serious topic at hand. She just might not be doing a very good job at it, what with the food smells tugging at her attention as well. In retrospect, it probably wasn't her best idea to have the meeting here, but... Live and learn.

"Yuna's got the right idea. We-" Her eye twitches at Nagato's outburst, and the healer even plants her hands on the table as if she's ready to get up and just go at it with the admiral right then and there. "Her name is /Yari/, thank you very much. And last I checked, /you/ drew my /girlfriend/, not a pet, into an ambush because /you/ wanted to make it personal in the first place!"

Sanary's looking absolutely livid at this point. If not for the murmurs coming from the people at the front desk (some of whom are probably taking bets on something), she'd almost have forgotten where she was. It takes her several moments just to sit back down, but she can already feel the heat rising to her face as she fights the urge to just put a little more power into her eye.

"... Yeah, Yuna's got... Said the thing I was trying to say, but better. We don't have to like each other, but..." Sanary trails off as she leans back in her seat again, grabbing one of the slices of pizza and taking a big ol' bite out of it. Unluckily for her...

It was the one with chicken and hot sauce. 'Chicken fra diavolo', as they like to call it. She doesn't dare to grab that soda to sip from it yet, though, since that'd be showing weakness in the face of an enemy! "... Mmr. You took my girlfriend's arm, I blew up your house. So... Do you want to keep this going or what?"
Uriel and Qemuel     Qemual throws her hands in the air. "Fine, fine, you can be a ten if you want! I don't really care." She huffs, snagging a slice of pizza and kicking back on another chair, putting her feet up on the original one she was using, and lowering the dangling cheese strings into her mouth. "Mn. War shouldn't get personal like that. I mean, I guess Raguel might argue otherwise, but you know, I think it shouldn't."

Uriel quietly reaches over to pluck a slice up. Without any change in her inflection, she answers Yuna, "Qemuel likes to guess the depravity of sins on a person. Ignore her, she's usually way off if all she's doing is looking at you."
Taro     "I don't bite." Taro says this to Qemuel without looking up from his book. It seems the words on the screen aren't holding his full attention.
This is followed by a sidelong glance at the kerfuffle at the table where Sanary, Nagato, and the others had been seated and in some cases are now standing. So far the exchange of fire has been limited to hot and angry words, however, and so he himself remains firmly in his chair.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia frowns with that sort of 'I knew it' look when Nagato explodes, and she reaches to give Sanary's shoulder a gentle squeeze of reassurance while Yuna gives her little speech. Sarra starts to say something to Nagato, but then thinks better of it and keeps quiet. Which turns out to be a good thing, because Sanary explodes as well. Once Sanary has settled down a bit, Sarracenia crosses her arms over her chest. "I am sure she thought, like your own friend, that this is a war." Sarracenia is speaking in a proper tone, but it is clear she doesn't care for Nagato either, even if she understands Nagato's motivations. Those one cares about rate the highest of responses.

"In war, things happen. People get hurt. Strategic installations are attacked. I accepted that when I brought my kingdom into the Confederacy's arms. I accept that each day, my kingdom could come under attack from Union forces. That my citizens, whom I wish to protect despite their lack of concern for me, could be harmed because of my decision. If you wish your fleet daughters to be protected from such attacks, then the only option you have is to withdraw from the Union. Those goody-goods will come to your aid even if you are not part of their organization."

Sarracenia smirks lightly after that. "If you cannot handle your fighting forces having to fight, then perhaps you should consider turning your command over to someone more professional."
Yari Takane The personal insults, and the reminder of just how awful it's gotten, hits Yari like a truck. At first her face flushes in growing irritation, before Yuna and Sanary both draw it all into sharp relief. Yari tenses, and then suddenly her hands fall to the table.

"...I will admit, putting aside our emotions, this all may have gotten a little too personal. Like the others said, war happens, we all have our duties. We must kill and sabotage our enemies."

Then, a wave of her tail and her good arm. "But I don't want to wake up one morning and find my daughter dead because you ordered my home shelled from a port, Nagato. Maybe we all should start acting a little more professionally." For once, she can't help but think Sanary might be the smartest person in the room.
Nagato     Tch.. Nagato looks between Yari, Yuna and Sanary... Iria gets a minor look as well then Uriel and Qemuel... and she picks up a slice of that same pizza Sanary grabbed and devours it.. "Mmm." she blinks, oh, it's hot. A pause is given and she turns back to Sanary. "I'm afraid your PET... drew the first with the assassination attempt." if it wasn't for the people watching, but Sanary knows this. And she knows Sanary would want a peice... though, another look at Yari is given.

Sarracenia's response makes her take a few deep, calming breaths "We were built for war, Princess. The entire fleet, including myself, are able to handle fighting." That side of her she wanted to stay hidden was trying to show its face... then she turns to Yuna, "Making a promise upon a Confederate." she shakes her head, "I don't trust any of them to actually keep to it."

When Yari speaks, though, she turns to her and stares at her... Daughter? She had a daughter? The realization of this disarms her slightly, sitting down a bit more firmly in her chair... "You have a daughter?" she questions, ahem'ing slightly, "You're right, it's gotten slightly personal. I apologize." she takes another deep breath as an eye turns to Sanary... "I'll agree on a few conditions, I will have them in writing, delivered to a neutral location by Atago. In return, there shall be no... 'personal' reasons for conflict... outside of the war." a pause, "And I shall ..." she pauses, "send some construction materials to Yari."

Nagato leans in slightly and looks towards Yari, "Even in the hells of war, I would not go as far as to shell a home with children. I'm sure you share the same sentiment."
Yuna Kagurazaka So Qemuel thinks her depravities rate a seven? Yuna blinks a couple of times at Uriel's explanation .. and quietly blushes ... bright ... *BRIGHT* ... red. She should probably protest that assessment - she's an *idol singer*, she's not supposed to have depravities - but Uriel also said Qemuel is 'usually way off' ... so.

Pizza sounds good. The somewhat-grudging acceptance of the 'personal cease-fire' sounds better, and Yuna takes a slice of pizza - NOT from the chicken fra diavolo (once she sees how Sanary is struggling with it), but the fried calamari pizza looks good and relatively safe, so that's what the blonde takes a slice of to begin with. "Trust has to start somewhere, Nagato," she says to the battleship girl, "and I've always felt that it's better to be the first one to offer that trust, and not to betray the trust shown to you by others."

And boy, has she paid for THAT before. Fortunately for Yuna's composure, she's able to simply remember that and continue, without letting the details surrounding the worst case consume her again. A lady is supposed to be able to maintain her dignity in all circumstances; Yuna simply munches on a bite of her selected pizza.
Iria Iria also tries one of the calamari pizza slices as well. "Always good to try something new," She comments as she takes a small bite. "Hmmmm... not bad actually. In fact, anything's better as a pizza topping as opposed to what Fujikuro suggested once." She narrows her eyes, and those who know her should know what that topping is. "Good thing I didn't bring him."
Sanary Rondel Is that what those numbers meant? Huh. That's got Sanary's attention briefly, but between the fire in her heart and in her mouth... She'll have to sate her curiousity about her own number later. For now, though, she keeps her glare focused right on Nagato, letting up only slightly at that touch to her shoulder by Sarracenia. She has to fight not to grin at that crack she's made, too, and /then/ she has to fight not to fire off a laser at Nagato when she makes that pet crack at Yari again, but dammit.

If it means keeping them safe, she'll just have to suck that one up. And the thing about Nagato not being able to trust any of them. Her eye's still twitching, though, so that could be a pretty good indication of just how badly she wants to just let loose right then and there.

"... Yeah. Name's Linh. She..." For some unexplained reason, she glances over at Yuna of all people, then back at Nagato. "Good girl. I'll meet this A-Taco and..." Crap. This pizza's way hotter than she expected. Coughing lightly, the healer draws in a long breath before sitting back in her seat and crossing her arms to try and distract herself from the heat. "We'll sign that thing. We don't have to like each other, but if we fight, it'll be the right way. Mm.... No hard feelings, no house calls."

And then she practically thrusts her hand out for a handshake. She's trying very hard to get through this quickly and get to that soda, isn't she? "Agreed?"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia lets a genuine smile form on her face when Nagato actually agrees to the negotiation. She finally picks up a slice, one of the vegitarian pizza slices (a princess is always aware of her figure), and chews quietly while Nagato, Sanary, and the others talk. The explanation of Qemuel's numbering system makes Sarracenia blink a few times and blush as well. "W-what? Then I am most definitely a 1!" she protests. "How do you even determine these numbers? And how does...wait, what direction does your scale go?" she says, clearly a bit flustered now. She is a good princess! She'll hammer anyone who says different!

Nagato's offer about the construction materials catches Sarracenia off guard, and she ends up staring a moment before swallowing her bite. "That is rather generous of you, Admiral." she says, smiling.
Yari Takane Yari, as she's accused of starting the whole thing, is already reaching for pizza. It's anchovies and fried crickets in case anyone wants to share!

Her mumbling sounds like 'Fed sanctioned job'. Her tail wiggles as her back gets up just a bit. As for her depravity? Nomf! "Closer to a seven. Corrupt or not, killing a whole boardroom full of CEO's of a pharmaceuticals company is still fairly depraved." At least this lizard admits her sins.

Yari's eyes close. She nods to Yuna. "I may be an assassin, but if I give my honor on something, I'll uphold whatever deal is passed. And...I believe in Sanary, so I will support her here." She affirms.

Yari smiles proudly. "She's twelve. She wants to become a Knight, like Saber and the rest. Adopted, but between her and Sanary, they're the gifts in my life. And why I try to stay alive."

But then, Nagato actually agrees. The ninja's mouth hangs a moment in vague surprise. Sevearl crickets sloth off of her pizza. Her lizard-tongue snatches them up and she crunches on them to try to not look like an idiot.

"...I don't think we're going to be friends, or agree on many things, but that much is true. I would not kill an innocent child. As much as it pains me, I believe you're telling the truth, Admiral."
Nagato     Nagato doesn't seem to be breaking a sweat from that spicy pizza, maybe because she's desensitized to it all from /everyone/ on Hikari making spicy curry. "There will always be hard feelings in war, Sanary. There will always be house calls." a pause, looking at that hand... then back at Sanary. She's suffering from that pizza, isn't she. She cracks a light grin before turning to Sarracenia. "I may distrust you and the entire Confederacy, however..." she looks to Yari. "Even enemies need respite."

She listens to Yari talk about her adopted kid and hmms. "The only children I have would be my Destroyers." a pause, her hand moves onto Yuna's shoulder, "and people I treat like my children." she listens more, "Tell her to persue that dream. If she is strong willed, then she'll achieve it." she turns back to Sanary and eyes the hand, she almost can't believe she's doing this.

She reaches out, "I'll have Atago write the documentation up for the agreement. I will not break my promise, I pray to whatever deity you believe in that you don't break yours." she grips that hand into a tight handshake. "Yari, send me a neutral location so I can have Akashi bring you the resiquite materials."
Uriel and Qemuel     Qemuel shrugs, "Ten means the absolute worst we've run into. And... well... we've seen some bad ones. We've been working with..." She sighs heavily in distates. "Miss Blakely a lot." The dark-skinned woman nibbles her pizza lazily. "It's juff a game."

Uriel reassures, "Neither of us are in the business of judging others, she just likes to guess." Turning her own slice around, she bites into the crust. "Mn. Children are usually off-limits. I'm glad to see everyone can agree on that." Then she glares at Qemuel, but doesn't say anything about why.
Inga Freyjasdottir The errand she had that prevented her from attending was finished a bit quicker than Inga had anticipated. Thus, she found out where it was taking place, got very thoruough directions, and made her way over to see what was going on and provide support a diplomatic presence.

And pizza. One cannot underestimate the allure of pizza.

While walking toward the pizza place, she realized with a small bit of horror that this is where the...incident...with the /cheese/ had happened! She crosses the street very cautiously, looking serveral times up the hill to make sure there isn't any cheese rolling currenty taking place.

She enters the pizza place, looking out of place in her viking-age style apron dress and wool cloak, wooden staff in her hand which she uses to help off-set her obvious limp.

The white haired woman looks around the establishment, eyebrows raised slightly and she moves toward the group. "I apologize for coming unannounced, and late, no less," she says, looking and giving a smile to those she knows and a respectful nod to those she has not yet met.

Oh good, there's still pizza! Now, what's the chance there is also beer...?
Yuna Kagurazaka "There was an Earth politician, a couple of centuries before my time," Yuna says, "who once said 'I destroy my enemies when I make them my friends'." She smiles wistfully, shrugging, "It's always seemed to me like that's a good ideal to aim for - not to obliterate those who stand against you, but to find a way to get past or around the hostility, to 'short out' the reasons to fight. It may not be practical, but a lot of my friends - back in my world - were my enemies at first, and I'm glad I didn't fight to kill any of them."

She finishes off her initial slice of pizza, then waves to Inga, before looking at Sanary, Yari, and Nagato. "If you're old enough to drink alcohol, I think beer is supposed to be better for rinsing hot spices out of your mouth than water? Milk works too, if you can drink that."

She blushes a little at being categorized as 'like one of Nagato's children' - not that it's a surprise, really, but to have it said in public ... ? If it weren't for the agreement that's being forged, she *might* worry about being a target all over again - but Yuna is used to trusting people up front, and if someone turns out not to be trustworthy, dealing with it after the fact. For now, she selects another slice of pizza and continues munching ... with half an eye on the drink menu, debating what *she* should get.
Taro     The two sides appear to have worked things out. Better than expected. Perhaps there was some merit to the prayer after all.
Taro's relative lack of expression stubbornly remains that way as he flicks his e-reader screen and begins reading the next page.
His pizza must be stone cold by now.
Sanary Rondel "Fair enough. Not too hard, then." Don't snicker, dammit. Sanary takes another moment to breathe before returning that shake with a firm grip of her own, trying to take advantage of the size difference to focus her strength instead of spreading it out. "Don't worry. I don't break my promises, even if deities aren't so... High on my list."

     Dammit, Grima.

Now that the big topic's finally been settled, Sanary's free to snicker at Sarracenia's plight! Beam at Yari! Chug some soda...? Not quite yet.

She's not about to let Nagato get the better of her there. Sure, it burns, sure her face is still sort of red from the heat, but dammit she's not going to show weakness after sucking up all those barbs before! Instead...

She turns to Uriel and Qemuel with an approving nod. "Y-yeah, kids... They shouldn't be getting into this kinda shit. Mm... H-hey. What number am I, then?" And then she takes another bite of that spicy hell pizza. It tastes so good, but BLOODY HELL that was an awful idea. At least it distracted her from spicy hell by putting more spicy hell right into it. Inga's arrival provides another lucky distraction for the healer, and she gives the familiar magic-user a quick wave before grabbing one of those white slices to take a bite out of.

Relief! All without actually having to drink anything, too. "Mrph... Ah, don't worry about it. We got plenty to go around!" She does raise her eyebrow at the mention of beer, although Sanary actually looks confused after a few moments. "Old enough...?"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia smiles again as the bitter enemies find some temporary respite with each other. "I know Sanary will not break her word, and Yari will not break hers, if only because she cares about Sanary..." Sarracenia turns slightly to gaze at Yari. "...and because if she causes Sanary unnecessary trouble, she will have me with whom to contend." she says, her smile turning a bit dark.

The princess then looks back to Nagato. "So please, try not to worry. You will have nothing to worry about from us. Other than the usual things a commander has to worry about during a war." She blinks after that, then looks off to the side a bit awkwardly. "...I mean..." She sighs softly, then smiles. "Well, it is just good that you and Sanary and Yari are able to come to terms with each other. You all seem decent enough. It is unfortunate when decent people are drawn into conflict." she says, nodding in agreement with Yuna. At the mention of spice, she oohs. "I believe sugar is also supposed to cut the spiciness. Perhaps a good soda?" she suggests.

The explanation of Qemuel's numbers draws a sputter from Sarracenia, and she huffs. "Then I obviously rate a 1." she says confidently. Then pauses a moment. "...perhaps a 2." she admits quietly after a few seconds.
Yari Takane The ninja looks away. Dabs at her eye. She's definitely not crying a little here. No. She is a stoic lizard, is Yari. You're seeing things.

The two shake, and Yari finally nods. Oh yeah, eyes are a little red here. "Th...thank you, Admiral." She looks a little nervous maybe? Perhaps even touched. Gulp. "I'll send you the coordinates. I think I know a place." She bites her lower lip.

Sarracenia gets a glare. "I resent the implication, Princess!" Huff! Sniffle. Gulp. She's suddenly walking away towards the little lizard's room. The sounds of the lizard having a joyous breakdown may well be barely heard if one listens hard enough.
Inga Freyjasdottir Inga takes a seat nearby the group, and helps herself to a piece of pizza. She is not aware this is special, extra spicy pizza. Someone might want to warn her.

She raises an eyebrow at the talk 'rating', wondering what that is about.

When a drink menu is passed, Inga takes it and indeed orders a beer. Other than that, she simply listens.
Yuna Kagurazaka "She implied worse about me, I think," Yuna jokes to Sarracenia. "So ... ah. I can't remember now, what was it you were getting from Tomoyo's boutique when we first met ... ?"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia blinks at Yuna, then smiles. "I suppose so." she says before considering. "Hmm...the only thing I have ordered from Miss Tomoyo...is my Dark Magician Girl dress. It is one of my prized possessions now." she says, all too happy to talk about herself and her endeavors. "Were you there when I was ordering it? Forgive me, I meet so many people it is difficult to remember them all. What were you ordering?"
Nagato     Nagato hmms... then starts nomming at some more pizza... "Yari, was it? I do wish your daughter well in her path. Do train her... Correctly. Train her to be an /honorable/ knight, not an assassin.." she comments, nomming even more pizza, "This is... delicious."
Sanary Rondel "Sugar, sugar... Mm. Nah, I'm fine with the spice." Sanary boasts confidently, totally not cheating with the power of WHITE PIE and its excessive amount of cheese to tone down the heat. It's still burning some, but it's not nearly as bad as it was moments ago.

"I should get some more clothes from her place sometime, actually... It is, ain't it?" Sanary actually smirks slightly at Nagato, momentarily forgetting the whole wanting-to-kill-each-other thing. Only for a moment, though, before looking aside awkwardly. "... Yeeeep."

    It's still progress!
Yuna Kagurazaka "I think you were picking up your costume the same day I was getting the concert dress she'd made for me," Yuna answers. "I'm glad to know you like your outfit so much, though - I'm sure Tomoyo would be glad to know how much you treasure it!"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia blinks as Yuna recounts what was happening, then gasps. "You were getting the magnificent color-changing dress with the design that was only visible under certain colors!" she exclaims excitedly. "I thought that dress was amazing! If a big gawdy, even for me. But, I suppose a songstress such as yourself must have such spectacular outfits for her stage performances." she says, only nibbling on her own pizza slice. "Even if I am terrible with names, I recall seeing you in a few publications. What is it like, having so many people from so many places admire you?"

There might be a -teeny- bit of resentment in that last question. It is bringing up Sarracenia's lingering jealousy of Peach and the rival princess's popularity for doing nothing at all but being pretty and soft-spoken!
Yuna Kagurazaka "It's ... a challenge, really," Yuna admits. "A lot of my fans know when I'm in the news for my work with the Union, so I have to do my best not to let them down. And then there's the people who know me personally back home - my parents of course, my close friends ... I've let some of them down, left them worrying about me more than I wanted to, but they've kept supporting and helping me, and I've been finding my way better thanks to them."
Sarracenia      Sarracenia is a little surprised at Yuna's description of her work. "Having lots of people admiring you is...difficult?" she asks, seeming a bit skeptical. She takes another bite as she listens to Yuna, then sighs softly. "My parents wish that I would not venture into the Multiverse at all and instead think I should focus on my duties as a princess. Which basically means lock myself in one of the castle towers and study how to properly run a country between dancing classes and ettiquette classes and dietary classes. And my subjects care little whether I am there or not. If I were to walk the streets, they would hardly spare a second glance."
