Annie Sandberg Annie was visiting Equestria in her usual form, forgoing ponification. Being a pony was fun, but right now she was here for business... fun-related business, admittedly, but business nonetheless. She knew the way to the boutique quite well, so she headed over there immediately upon arrival, hoping the place wasn't too busy with Nightmare Night approaching here as well.
Rarity It was late enough in the day that while the Boutique wasn't closed much of the day's business had come and gone. There were a few decorations up in the windows, and the 'magical animatronic ponniquins' from last year set up out on the front yard, which doubled as a demonstration of what was capable. But this year she was taking it easy in comparison, so no haunted houses.

... Oh wait, that's not one of the enchanted displays, that's actually Rarity walking amonst them, making a little adjustment here and there to their decorations.
Annie Sandberg On her way to the boutique door, Annie is distracted by the moving displays. Some of them looked quite realistic, she thought. In fact, one of them was... oh, it was Rarity! "Hi, Miss Rarity!" Annie says with a wave. "Did you make these? They're really neat!" Even though Annie herself was more advanced technology-wise, she still enjoyed seeing things like this from other worlds. Of course, judging by the tingling she felt as she got close to them, these were animated by magic rather than technology.
Rarity Rarity turns her head when she hears her name, and smiles when she sees who it is. "Oh, hello Annie! I was not expecting more visitors tonight, but it's good to see you." Then turns back to adjust the display one last time and take a few steps back. "These were part of the grand finale of last year's haunted house I did, with help from my sister and Pinkie Pie. Not doing so this year as a repeat performance so close together is kind of passe, but felt they could still be put to use as an advertisement of sorts. And maybe keep a few Nightmare Night pranksters at bay." Satisfied with the arrangement she turned back to the not-quite-human robo-girl. "What can I do for you this evening?"
Annie Sandberg So, they were part of a haunted house? That made sense. "Well, I hope they don't try to scare your customers away," Annie said with a smile. "It looks nice. Anyway... Nightmare Night's kind of why I'm here myself. Or Halloween as we call it. I was hoping you could make me a werewolf costume! If you're not too busy that is." She looks back toward the boutique, trying to see through the windows if there were many ponies looking for their own costumes.
Rarity Rarity pffs, giving a dismissive wave of her hoof. "I could be the busiest mare in the world and I would still make time to craft things for my friends." Nevermind she *is* close to busiest this time of year, but she did just say that wouldn't matter. Rarity turns and trots over to open the door. "Come inside and we can work, as a certain other pony once said," dramatic pose, "'DA MAGEECS'!"

Inside Rarity heads almost immeadiately for one of the back storerooms. "In fact, I am certain I already have just the thing."
Annie Sandberg Annie was a bit more worried about taking Rarity's time away from her local customers than the possibility of being refused herself, but it seems that either of those worries would have been unfounded anyway. She follows Rarity inside and is pleased to hear that she might already have something in mind. "That's great!" It might not be exactly what she's looking for, but it would be a good place to start. "It's kind of surprising though... I mean, you wouldn't have werewolves here. If anything you'd have... ponywolves? Wereponies? Something like that." Maybe Rarity just planned for anything when it came to costumes.
Rarity "Rainbow Dash was a were-timberwolf last year in fact." As in the deadwood and moss 'timber wolf' one would find in Everfree Forest that is. "But that's not entirely relevant." Rarity comes back out of the store room dragging a rather large box with her magic. "But werewolves are creatures, and creatures and other critters tend to be a popular request to I try to keep aptly stocked with appropriate materials. Like these scrap carpet pieces, which would be close to a 'furry' texture."
Annie Sandberg Annie gathered around the box with Rarity. "Yeah, I guess that could work. I definitely want to be more of the furry type, not the kind that's just a person with more hair. So, that's the fur, what's next? We'll need a tail and paws and stuff like that too."
Rarity Rarity opens the box and starts rummaging through the assortment of brown and red and grey cuts of carpet material. "A tail would just be a piece with some light wire through it to keep it's shape and not drag on the ground, and a band to fasten around your waist. Paws we can put pieces of fabric on the back of some light gloves, that way you can still flex your fingers to hold onto things." Like a candy bag. Rarity holds up a section to examine it. "The question is do you want a mask over your entire head, or just a wolf face and ears."
Annie Sandberg Annie nods as Rarity explains the process. They were going to be using some pretty basic materials for this, but she knew Rarity would be able to turn them into something better than she could get pre-made from some party store. "Hmm... Which do you think would look better? It might be neat to just do the face and leave my hair. So it'd kind of look like I actually turned into a werewolf," she suggests.
Rarity Rarity hmms, rubbing her chin for a moment with a hoof. Then her horn alights as she levitates over a sketchpad and some colored pens to start scribbling on it. "Then how about we make a masquerade style mask? That will cover most of your face, but not actually obstruct your vision or your lower face for speaking. It will just position the faux snout at an angle that it conceals it. And then a band with ears for you to wear on your head, which can help keep your hair from getting in your way as well, but otherwise leave it free and 'wild' to give the transformation impression?"
Annie Sandberg "That sounds nice," Annie says, moving to get a peek at the sketch. "It also means I won't have to take it off to eat the candy," she adds with a giggle. "That's always a plus!"
Rarity Rarity laughs softly. "Yes, that would be a benefit as well." She hmms softly. "I will make some paw leggings as well to put over whatever you were for shoes, to match the gloves. Then all you really need is some clothes you do not mind tearing up some to support the transformed look." Rarity set aside the sketchpad and turned back to Annie, tilting her head a little to one side. "Have you changed your size at all since last time?" Sounds like a silly question to ask a robot girl, but seeing as intelligent as Maxine could easily upgrade her daughter to mimic growing up it's a safe one to ask, silly or not.
Annie Sandberg This was really sounding like fun, Annie thought. She couldn't wait to try this one out! "No, I'm still the same size," she affirmed. "Some things have changed but not that."
Rarity "Wonderful, dahling. Then this won't take long at all." Rarity sets a few pieces of the various materials aside, then trots over to her work space and pulls open a drawer. "This is precisely why I keep copies of every regular customer's information, as well as my friends and family of course. Even if minor changes are needed it certainly hastens the process with less fuss." A few ruffles through the alphabetized drawer is all it takes to find the right set of cards. "Yes, this will do splendidly."
Annie Sandberg "Thanks, Miss Rarity," Annie says. "It was definitely a good idea to come here first." Rarity ran things really well here and always did a good job from what she could tell.
Rarity Rarity sets the measurements file aside with the sketchbook, and then wanders back to the store room. "Just need some light decorating wire for the parts that need support. Tail, ears, make sure the mask is secure, so forth." Her tail can be seen sticking out of the doorway as she rummages about. "It is a fairly simple design, but that's the beauty of it. Keeps that personal touch in the crafting of such a piece... Aha. This should do." Wanders back into the main room. "While I doubt strength to support a costume will be much concern for you, no need to make it heavier than necessary when you're going to be walking around and possibly other activities for much of a night."
Annie Sandberg Annie nods in agreement. "Yeah, it doesn't need to be that fancy with all kinds of parts and stuff. It makes it easier to put on and take off that way too... This is going to be a lot of fun!" She wondered if she might be able to get any additional use out of it afterwards. It'd be a waste to only use it for one night!
Rarity Rarity starts setting stuff out on the work table. "Other than a minor detail here and there as I work I should have the basics covered. Give me a day or so to work between other orders and it should be done well before the actual holiday."
Annie Sandberg "Okay!" Annie answers. "I'll be back when it's done then." She walks happily to the door before turning back. "Bye Miss Rarity. Say hi to Sweetie Belle for me!"
