Rebound     New York City. After midnight. It seems like this is when most people are asleep...And when most of the crazy shit in this city happens. At the moment, on a rooftop not far from downtown Manhattan, a certain kangaroo has planted her butt on the edge of a rooftop. A pair of headphones trail from her cell phone up to her ears, and she bobs her head a bit to the music she's listening to.

She seems focused, for the time being, on the Brooklyn Bridge and the borough beyond it. Last time she was up on this particular rooftop, a group of Purple Dragons decided to try to hold up a a hotdog vendor of all things. She wound up putting two of them in the hospital because that's just so...Stupid. It was a stupid tax.
Alopex      Since unification, it has become insanely apparent to a particular fox that the number of New Yorks is simply staggering. Curious about the one that was listed as #1, Alopex set off through a gate and found herself in familiar surroundings. Still, being the FIRST New York to unify, it shows clear signs of unification. Multiple races, technologies, new buildings among old, the occasional space ship, and at least one arctic fox that was enjoying the sights and taking it all in.

Her wanderings, along with one -massive- map of the Extended New York area, has brought Alopex close to the Brooklyn Bridge. Interestingly enough, it's the same one as Rebound. Finding a familiar face on a roof in New York Prime? ... What an odd coincidence. With a smirk, the ninja silently slips up toward Rebound, taking note of the headphones. Oh this was just too easy. At least all she reaches out to do is turn up the volume.. a lot.. and then dart back. But that's all! NO HARM DONE! Smirk.
Rebound The kangaroo is blissfully unaware she's being snuck up on, untl her headphones suddenly go full blast. She jumps up, and then almost falls off the edge of the roof as she wheels around to try to figure out what is happening.

She takes the headphones out too, because they're really loud and she'd hate to damage her hearing by leaving them in, after all. She spots the white fox right nearby, and relaxes her stance a bit, "I know you ninja types like sneaking around but is it so hard to just say hello?"
Alopex     "Would you have heard me with those in?" the fox is quick to point out, motioning at the mp3 player or whatever it is. "I don't think you would have heard a car coming up behind you, to be fair," she continues before wandering back over. "It's still nice to see a familiar face in a strange place, Rebound. I take it problems exist in every New York, hmm?"
Rebound "Yeah." Rebound replies, as she pockets the phone and the headphones, "You're right, but that's okay. I can take a hit or two if needed." She says, "So I don't think I got your name. I think it's only fair if you share."
Alopex     "Oh, sorry. It's Alopex. I thought I said it at the factory, maybe it slipped my mind, then," she says, introducing at least. "I'm guessing things like that factory aren't exactly uncommon.."
Rebound "Way too common." Replies Rebound, "I'm wit a big group that does a lot of stuff like what we were doing at the factory." She says, "In fact that evil scientist you punched out, she's on the other side. They're kinda the bad guys." She hmms, "Most of the time."
Alopex     "Ah right, the whole Union, Confederacy war,". Well at least Alopex has been doing some homework since her unification. "I've been hearing things here and there, trying to figure it all out, where this is exactly, among other things. Turns out its a really big somewhere. Can't say I can complain about it." No reason is given as to why, but the more distance between herself and her Shredder, the better.

"So, what about this New York then? It's already vastly different from mine. Is the Foot Clan made of robots and the have a huge tank for a base?"
Rebound "This New York? I have no idea about this one." She replies, "I haven't seen too much of their activity. Wanna go find some of them and beat them until we find out?" She asks, as she grins at Alopex
Alopex     That gets the fox to roll her shoulders, pop her neck, and give the Tentetsutou a tug before pushing it back into its scabbard again, "I think that sounds -fantastic-."
Rebound "Alright then." She says, "Admittedly you're probably a better tracker than I am.." She pauses, "That's not a species thing, I mean because you're a trained ninja and I'm just some MMA fighter who got mutated because of circumstances."
Alopex     "No offense taken, Rebound, don't worry about . . .it." Something causes her to slow, and then she just stares at the fighter. "You mutated too? I wasn't sure but.. it's nice to have that confirmed." Another long pause. "Lead on, and if you don't mind, describe your New York a bit, maybe a few nuances that no other one would have?"
Rebound "Uh. Well Shredder is this big scary ass dude who I've watched beat up all four Turtles by himself without breaking a sweat. He has a whole group of mutants at his disposal, Rahzar, Xever, Bebop and Rocksteady, and.." She pauses and makes a face, "Stockman." She seems to be trying not to gag, "Plus the Kraang are always running around trying to mutate everybody."
Alopex     Following along, the fox just listens, "Sounds really similar," she replies, "But think a little smaller. Like, where did you train? Is it in any other New Yorks? A favorite restraunt that isn't anywhere else? I just.. wonder if somehow we're from the same one."
Rebound "Oh..Well my dad owned a boxing gym in Brooklyn." She replies, "Well he transitioned to an MMA gym after that got really popular. "Heavy Hitter's HQ." She says, as she holds up her hands, "He opened one here in New York to go with the similar location in Vegas. Figured he'd open one up in all the major cities where pro fighters train."
Alopex     That gets a loud laugh out of Alopex, "Oh wow, I think we may be from the same one! What are the chances in this ridiculous place?" still following. "Lemmme guess? How about purple dragons? Turtles I only heard about, but the Shredder ... was known to want them gone.." hesitation? Seems like the fox may have had some run ins with the clan.
Rebound "Purple Dragons are the ones who did this to me." She says, as she wiggles her tail at Alopex for a second, "Wouldn't throw a fight for them, so they decided to get back at me. Guess this was after the Turtles had blown up a big Kraang ship full of mutagen." She says, as she hops backwards for a second, "It's not so bad though. At first I wanted to go back to being my old self, but I've kinda grown used to it."
Alopex "Started out human, then?" Pex asks, wandering toward the ledge of the building. "I didn't. This is all .. well not brand new, but there are still a few things I've been getting used to. I will say, though, the food? Amazing. I don't know if you ever saw it but there's a burger place somewhere around the Bronx or Queens, somewhere. Always get them mixed up. Just a little dive place but the cook makes burgers you have -never- seen before. Highly recommmend it." Bit of a distraction from the original topic, which she realizes.

The Foot stole me away from Fairbanks, took me to a lab and, well," she shrugs, "You can probably imagine. I hope your change wasn't as problematic as mine..
Rebound "What? Nah. I just woke up naked in the middle of a locker room looking like this." She replies. It's hard to tell if she's being sarcastic or not, "But it doesn't matter." Rebound says, as she looks down over the edge of the building, "Think you can make that jump?" She asks, as she motions to a nearby building
Alopex     That gets a smile, "I know I can, and considering what you are, I'm pretty sure you can too. Thing is, I may need a little run to get going. So. Lead on, I'll follow."
Rebound Rebound doesn't really need a running start, as she turns and plants her feet, taking off from her spot and flying from the rooftop. Not literal flying, but she manages to land on the other roof without much effort.
Alopex     It's impressive, and it shows in Alopex's expression. Still, once Rebound is off, the fox gets a running start and is quick to follow. Yes, she makes the jump, easily, and will probably make the next few without too much issue. "Maybe it'll be a quiet night!" Sarcasm Bell.
Rebound "It's only a quiet night when you fall asleep." Rebound replies, as she smirks, "Keep your eyes open for any of the usual stuff. Bank robberies, mutant mayham, your guess is as good as mine." Rebound says, "So you think you might want to join the Union, Alopex?"
Alopex     "I know what to look for, don't worry!" Alopex calls ahead, surveying the cityscape from the rooftops as the pair PARKOUR their way around from one building to the next. "I have considered it! Though at this time I'm not really looking to join another large organization for ... Reasons." She leaves it at that.
Rebound "Can't say I blame you on that." Rebound replies, "It's kinda something I've been waffling on myself lately.." She says, "But people like Corona keep me on the straight and narrow."
Alopex     "Friend of yours, eh? Another one of us or from somewhere other than New York?" comes Alopex's reply. "I'll admit I've not really made a lot of allies out here, yet.."
Rebound "Yeah." Replies Rebound, "She's from this weird place called Brimsteel. She's also a fox, I think you two might get along." Rebound says, as she stops at the edge of the next roof, taking a moment to look out and listen for anything.
Alopex     A moment passes and Alopex catches up, stopping on the ledge beside Rebound, "Huh. Well, I wouldn't mind that, if she doesn't. Maybe I can tug you all to the burger place I've been wanting to go back to, again."
Rebound "Oh yeah, she'd love that." Rebound replies, "Probably better than mystery meat ramen down in the sewers under a massive technomagical city." She offers, as she scans down below them for a moment, "Don't ask."
