Nagato     It's early afternoon at Hikari Seaport, the airfield's runway has been sectioned off with firing sections and out in the ocean are the Sendai sisters, setting up multiple targets out here and there. Nagato's made a call to the Fifth Strike Force fleet to guard the restricted areas. "They should be here shortly." she mutters, looking around the area. "Everywhere should be secured... and Akitsumaru should be here with the greenhorns and Maaka."

back at the warpgate, Akitsumaru stands at attention, a Daihatsu landing craft waiting for the group of wannabe guntoting people. As soon as they all arrive, she salutes them. "Greetings, sirs. I am Akitsumaru, please board carefully, I shall transport you to HIkari Seaport's airstrip."

Once everyone's loaded, it's a decent length trip to the Seaport, to a different landing port for the guests to arrive, Akitsumaru leads them to Nagato, who greets everyone with a salute. "Admiral Nagato. Here, you will call me Admiral, you shall listen and you shall be attentive. I've brought in another Union firearms specialist to assist in training, treat her equipment well."
Alexis Maaka     Alexis is waiting besides her car, having pulled out a number of cases of ammunition in 9mm Luger and 5.56 NATO varieties.

She also has a CRAPTON of guns of the M4, MP5, and Glock 19 make and model. All weapons that are very common in a number of worlds. They're also very newbie friendly weapons too, for good reason.

She will be enlisting help in carrying all the hardware and ammo, as well as magazines, but thankfully she's already taken the liberty of loading and sighting in each gun ahead of time.

It's impressive what Maaka can do on short notice sometimes, honestly.

She boards, bringing the hardware along just as Nagato mentions the words 'Union Firearms Specialist.'

"That would be me. I'm Ensign Alexis Maaka, you might've heard me on the radio time to time. Nagato's asked for me to help with this, so seeing as how I'm me," She kicks open one of the suitcases, revealing rows upon rows of Glock 19 pistols. "We're gonna be getting busy."
Yuna Kagurazaka For the time being, Yuna is in her Special Division Project uniform, standing at parade-rest behind and to one side of Nagato. Elner is hovering next to Yuna; the rest of the Matrix of Light ...

Well, anyone who goes wandering too far off might run into one or another of Yuna's 'doubles' - Jiina, Erina, and Marina are helping to make sure the restricted areas remain off-limits to anyone who's not actually part of the Hikari Combined Fleet.

Yuna already knows the bulk of the Drachenblatt Academy crew, so she simply smiles and waves to the students. Nagato and Maaka are pretty much in charge of things; Yuna's just here to assist, in whatever capacity may be required of her. Extra pair of hands to assist with moving stuff around, extra challenge for the students who want to get in over their heads, extra pair of eyes to ensure nobody goes sneaking off somewhere ... anything that's needed, within her capabilities.
Evangeline      Nagato and Maaka might be surprised to find that standing (well, floating) in the small crowd of gun trainees is...the Neuroi known as Evangeline. When Nagato and Maaka introduce themselves, she salutes slowly before holding the salute for much longer than is necessary. "...yes, Admiral..." she says in that soft, synthesized voice of hers.

When the guns are presented, Evangeline pauses a moment and looks down at them curiously before reaching to slowly select one of the Glock pistols. Her slender fingers extend from the end of her sleeve-like arms and she carefully picks one up in both hands, holding the barrel in one hand and the handle in the other.
Alexis Maaka     Maaka's hand gently intercepts Evangeline's before she can take the pistol. "Sorry, I'm not ready to give them out yet." She says, trying to sound firm but not too strict. Safety first after all!

Almost as an afterthought she also kicks open a final case, revealing earplugs and ear protection headsets. "These are gonna be to protect everyone, gunfire tends to be pretty bad for the ears even outdoors."
Finna There is a seagull at the base already. It seems to have decided that a nearby roof is a great perch to be scanning from on its endless hunt for food scraps.

It is not wearing a target, so clearly is not to be shot.
Hikaru Kurosawa     Hikaru's presentable, but casual enough to practice without too much trouble - black slacks and a lavender button-down shirt which is at least /marginally/ less offensive than most of his other colours. He's wearing a tie with stylised thunderclouds and lightning bolts, the most toned-down thing he could find in his wardrobe at the time. He made a vague effort! "How /are/ you supposed to dress when you go to /another world/, anyway?" He'd asked August, during their trip out.

The warpgate trip was interesting. Hikaru would have never imagined something like this existed. But, apparently, it does, and they're able to get to where they're going without any fuss. (He tries to remember the steps, just in case he has to get out into the multiverse himself at some point.) He helps Alexis with her cases, which helpfully means he doesn't have any hands free to figure out if he has to respond to their escort's salute. "Hey, Akitsumaru," he says, as he carefully steps into the Daihatsu. He doesn't want to rock the boat! "My name's Hikaru. Thanks for the escort!"

And then they come to the airstrip - and the commanding presence of Admiral Nagato, who introduces Ensign Maaka. "So, Al- er, Ensign? ... is that right?" Hikaru asides, not /entirely/ sure he's got this military talk correct. He's seen a couple of movies with soldiers in them, and that's about it. "Shouldn't we have -" Then she kicks open the case of EAR PROTECTION, and Hikaru smiles. "- those! Exactly those." He goes to grab a headset and some earplugs, though he doesn't put them on yet, because surely there are more instructions to come.
August Kohler August is dressed...well, how he normally dresses, which is like a kid who doesn't buy many clothes. Coat, shirt, pants. He's totally worn this exact outfit before, too, probably because he can't buy any more clothes without getting arrested. "If you don't know the world, dress casual. If you know the world...well, I usually dress casual anyways, but you could try and fit in. I wore a cowboy hat when I went to Pauwel's." August has finally gotten used to warpgate travel, sort of: imagine where you want to go, and follow the path. Don't get distracted, or you might get lost if you suddenly go 'hey I want a sandwich', ending up at a multiversal bar and grill.

August does not have his gun. It is currently safe on Will's world, after a late night secret tradeoff. He's pretty quiet during the boat ride, and does not salute, though he does tip his head in greetings. "Admiral Nagato. Spider-woman." Hey, she's an ensign, it's fine!

August will quietly grab a headset, and then ask the important question. "What are we starting with?"
Alexis Maaka     Alexis smirks a little at the nickname, humming a certain tune without missing a beat. "Anyhow, I uh..." Pause. She looks between Hikaru and August. "I was expecting more students, honestly." She muses, before she gives a shrug. "Oh well, we can work with this."

Hikaru and August thankfully know enough to don ear protection, and she produces a pair of the Glocks, both pistols unloaded and held out grip-first to the boys.

She clears her throat and begins the history lesson. "These are Glock 19 semi-automatic pistols. They carry fifteen rounds of nine millimeter luger ammunition and are made in Austria, designed by Gaston Glock in the eighties. These are some of the most popular semi-automatic handguns in the twenty-first century, and for good reason: They're accurate, dependable, and very affordable for rookie and veteran shooters alike."

"Keep the fingers off the triggers, and point ONLY where you intend to shoot. I imagine Nagato's got targets intended for us, so just keep them trained out in the distance, I guess." She says, before she rifles through a case for loaded magazines, producing about three per shooter, then making herself scarce before they begin shooting. "The slide-catch on the side is for your thumb to hit, once the mag's been slid inside. The sights are to be lined up with your target." She'll inspect their stances and correct accordingly as well.
Nagato     Nagato gives a bow to everyone that arrives. She was glad to have a few people she knew here, "First on the docket is saftey training. Then we shall start the shooting properly. Sendai, Jintsuu and Naka are out there with targets, there's quite a few targets, the same ones that our Carriers use for target practice with their fighters." she looks towards Alexis as she speaks, giving a slight nod as she goes into her speil. Nagato's earring twitches slightly and encompassing her arms is the Rafale Revive's armor... and a sniper rifle, which she hoists on her shoulder.

"Follow Alexis' instructions to the letter, I do not want any repeats and I want all weapons resecured with their owner after." Someone had to be the mom here, to make sure. "Kagurazaka, you're welcome to get in on this training as well." Nagato steps back a bit, allowing Alexis to do her thing, her eyes follow August and Hikaru, keeping an eye on them both. One of those two could be trusted, ... which one was the question.
Evangeline      Evangeline freezes in mid grab when Maaka stops her, and it takes a few moments before she slowly pulls back and floats silently again. "...sorry..." she says quietly, her featureless face mostly hidden by her long bangs when she looks down at the ground. When the ear protection is revealed, Evangeline tilts her head slightly. She isn't sure she needs them, but she takes one of the oversized ear protection headsets before slipping it onto her head covering her pointed cat-like ears. Which apparently bend enough that the earmuffs can rest flush against her hair.

Since she was not handed a gun and was told not to simply take one, Evangeline resumes floating there after Hikaru and August are given theirs. She doesn't protest of even make any motions that might indicate she is questioning Maaka or Nagato, and figures one or the other will give her a firearm when she is supposed to have one. In the meantime, she listens to what Maaka says about the guns.
Alexis Maaka     Alexis can't help but hand Evangeline a gun after a pause, magazines included, when the Neuroi Girl shows her desire to join in too. "You're too hard for me to say no to, ya little goon." She pats Evangeline's head affectionately, ruffling her even if that's possible. "Squeeze, don't pull." She whispers to Evangeline softly.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna nods to Nagato, relaxing from parade-rest stance, and collects both a set of ear-protecting 'headphones' and a pair of glasses to guard her eyes. Not that she *technically* needs them; she could just transform into her Light Suit and be relatively safe from most likely mishaps - as well as having her own accustomed weaponry - but she can use the practice ... and she wants to be a good example for August and Hikaru, too.

To that end, once Yuna's properly geared and has been 'issued' a suitable firearm and corresponding ammo, Yuna does what she's supposed to do. The muzzle is never pointed towards anyone else - when in doubt, she points it at the tarmac (and still makes sure nobody's in front of a potential ricochet), she keeps her finger OUTSIDE the trigger guard at all times when she's not actually lining up on a target, she checks the chamber before loading the gun, and so forth. And if she needs more specific instructions or runs into an unexpected point of confusion, she just looks over at Alexis, waits for the cyborg girl not to be busy, and (politely, of course) asks for help.
Hikaru Kurosawa     First off is safety training, Nagato says, and Hikaru nods along. Speaking of safety, he gets a pair of goggles and puts them on, too! Through the protective surface, he looks out at the water to see the targets - there really /are/ a number of them, aren't there? But then Alexis starts talking again, and Hikaru returns his attention to her, taking the gun as it's offered out to him and looking up at the taller woman as she instructs them. Once she's done, he glances down at the Glock (which is, as instructed, directed towards the ground) and muses to himself: "Fifteen rounds, in this little thing..? Okay! Let's do it!" He puts the gun down carefully so he can make sure his ear protection is in its proper place, and once he can't hear anything he picks it and the magazines up again. He gives an uncertain look to the extra magazines, and tucks them into his slack pockets after a moment.

That's how that works, right? Right? That's probably how that works.

Hikaru looks around to make sure everyone's in their proper place before he steps up to the water and raises his gun. He holds it in both of his hands -- it looks like he's gotten a little instruction on guns before, though it can't have amounted to more than a gun safety course or something similar. To his credit, he's not uncomfortable when he handles the weapon; it's still just a weapon, after all, and he's used to the idea of weapons. Even if he's not too familiar with guns, holding one doesn't seem to scare him, which might be surprising for anyone who's heard him stressing out about them on the radio.

But for all that, he still hasn't actually /used/ guns much. He follows the instructions pretty well - load the magazine properly, don't put your finger on the trigger unless you're shooting, aim through the sights - but most of his first shots don't actually hit the target he's aiming at. He just doesn't have the practiced stance or reflexes he needs. It's a good thing he's here to practice!
August Kohler August ALSO grabs goggles. He's not dumb, mainly because if he didn't Nagato and Maaka would deem him unfit for gun usage. He carefully grabs the pistol, checks the safety, checks the magazine, and readies it for firing. Finger off the trigger. He approaches the firing range. And he glances at the targets.

August then thinks of it as if he's using his Persona's gun. He knows how that feels, how that works. The pistol is raised upwards, cautiously, and pointed at the target. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Bang. Repeat until the magazine is empty, and the target is shredded. A few shots fly by, missing, but the bulk hit.

And if that was a real person? It'd be overkill.
Evangeline      Evangeline is handed a gun and carefully takes the grip with her right hand before supporting the barrel with her left, her finger off the trigger and resting on the trigger guard. "...squeeze...don't pull..." she repeats as Maaka whispers it to her before pausing at the unexpected ruffling. Although her hair doesn't move, it isn't exactly like a helmet of hair either. It is more like some kind of rubbery metal that gives just a bit beneath the ruffling fingers of Maaka. "...I am...not a goon...I am a Neuroi..." she says quietly, her head tilted slightly at Maaka.

Then, as instructed, she turns toward the water, gun held out with both hands and pointed toward the ocean. "...only 15 shots...?" Eva wonders, apparently surprised in the opposite way from Hikaru. Where she comes from, they don't even use ammo, and the Strike Witches don't use anything that has only 15 shots.

As everyone else grabs safety glasses, so does Evangeline. But, in order to comply with all instructions, she holds the gun in one hand, always aimed at the water, and floats backward to the case of safety glasses before picking a pair up and putting them on with her free hand. She doesn't even have eyes...
Alexis Maaka     Alexis ins't a snob, otherwise she'd be harshly criticizing the marksmanship of first-time shooters. SHe quirks a brow when Yuna joins, but isn't opposed to it either. She will also be hands-on in correcting the shooting stances of everyone, gently nudging limbs into the right position and such. "Keep your feet level and lean into the stance. Don't let the recoil scare you. Keep your grip firm but let each shot kick naturally." She advises over the pop pop pop of gunfire. She picked 9mm for a good reason, they don't make QUITE as much noise as the movies may suggest, which makes them more welcoming.

Had she the choice, she'd be using .22 LR, but these people will be working in the field more often than the slow route of training indicates.

She pauses by August as he ventilates a target in fire, cocking an eyebrow, "You're a natural, kid." She says evenly.
Nagato     Nagato is watching all of this... being a battleship, she had no need of saftey equipment, these guns are whispers compared to the cannons she fires. "Hmm. Not bad, Kohler." Nagato summons a bit more of the Yugana Kaze's arm armor and takes a look at the target with the enhanced vision. "Good shots." Nagato takes her aim and FIRES. A loud bang comes from that large rifle, and it obliterates a target. "Your aim needs a bit of work, try to get it in the center."

Meanwhile, back at the sea where the Sendai Sisters are, they're far away from the targets until the signal of reloading is given... and they move to replace the targets... even if the small arms fire hits the three, it's not going to hurt them that bad... nothing a little dip in the baths wouldn't fix. "Sendai... why is Nagato training them?" "Yeaa, and why are we working, I have idol practice to do!" "Admiral just wants to make sure they don't kill each other... now get to work."
Hikaru Kurosawa     Even over Hikaru's earmuffs, Alexis gives her firm instruction. He nods, letting her correct him physically and settling into the new stance as best he can. He ejects the empty magazine and puts a new one in, though he waits for the Sendai sisters to clear the field before he starts firing again. They might not be properly human, but he still doesn't want to hurt them!

This time, he does better -- Alexis's assistance helps a lot, and he manages to hit the target a good few times. Not /all/ of the time, but enough to show improvement. Aim through the sights, keep a firm grip... it's a lot to think about all at once!
Evangeline      Evangeline is last to start firing. She looks around at the others before taking aim. Pop. Long pause. Pop.

She is taking time with each shot, trying to get used the the feel of the gun and how it handles and how she should hold it for best accuracy. And it is also taking a moment to float forward a bit again after each shot pushes her back slightly.

It takes her several shots to get a feel for the gun, but without the human factor of randomness that often messes with other beginner shooters, her shots are soon gaining accuracy and consistency. She probably gets plenty of instruction on proper form, but like a poseable doll each adjustment Maaka makes for her is held without having to reset each time. "...it feels strange...using a mechanical device full of explosives to launch projectiles...would not beams be more effective..? ...they are not affected by gravity or wind..."
August Kohler Even as he reloads and keeps firing, August still manages to be accurate. He does miss a fair amount, usually due to recoil, but the controlled environment and stationary target means that all it is, is a matter of accuracy. And he's pretty accurate. "Particle weaponry doesn't exist in our world, so. We kill each other with metal. It works pretty well." When he talks, his firing messes up and goes wide. Seems that it's when he's concentrating fully on the target that he gets that accuracy.

As if he's imagining it as an enemy. "What's next?"
Alexis Maaka     Maaka paces back and forth, watching the trainees work. She nods in approval at the improvement they display, letting them get a feel for the guns themselves now as she goes quiet, and heads to the case containing an MP5A3, casually pulling the bolt back and locking it while she loads a magazine in, giving the bolt a firm slap as it locks home.

"MP5, Heckler and Koch submachine gun. It's been a favorite of law enforcement and special ops units all across the world for several years, and the design's been the basis of countless successor models for ages now." She says, once the students stop shooting and remove their ear protection.

She pulls out the stock, and lets off a few bursts of fire from the machine gun after bracing it against her shoulder, expertly taking out target after target to demonstrate the recoil pattern and how to properly shoulder the weapon. "This is a fond favorite of mine too, for a number of reasons. The mags take thirty rounds, and also use the same 9mm rounds your Glocks chamber as well. Accurate, dependable, and they're lightweight. The recoil's mellow even in full auto, which makes them pretty useful even if it's not recommended to do what the movies tell you and spray bullets everywhere." She says, letting the gun lock empty as she holds the SMG out to someone to take. She'll also get out some more SMGs for the others, before passing out magazines. "You'll want to use that little nub on the side of the grip and set it to semi-auto, where you see the diagram of only one bullet firing, and extend the stock as well." She'll point to where the stock release is, before going over the operation of the SMG as well, pulling the bolt back and locking it in place once more.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna's not shooting like she's in any hurry. She also waited for an explicit instruction to the effect of 'okay, go ahead and start shooting' before she pulls the trigger for the first time.

She's probably not going to win any marksmanship awards, but she can at least hit the targets that she's supposed to hit - and she ceases fire if Sendai, Naka, or Jintsuu come within about three degrees (roughly) of her line of fire. Better to err on the side of caution, even if the sisters can take a bullet better than Yuna herself could.

"A lot of worlds don't have personnel-scaled beam weaponry, if they have beam weapons at all," she points out gently to Evangeline. "Those also tend to be harder to repair or replace parts from - and if a conventional handgun with bullets got lost at Drachenblatt, it would raise some questions, but not as many as a laser-blaster pistol would."

She finishes her 9mm handgun training, unloads the last magazine, leaves the slide locked back to confirm that the chamber is empty, and keeps the empty gun pointed at the ground while Alexis is briefing them on the MP5. Somebody else can take the one Alexis demonstrated on - Yuna's in no hurry.
August Kohler August replies briefly to Yuna as he finishes up with the pistol, "Oh, I have one of those. Pauwel's keeping it safe for me."
Finna *BANG!*

NOBODY was expecting that gunshot. But it happened, alright. Came from a nearby rooftop and is certain to draw attention. There's a splash in the water as a bullet whizzes past the target, just nicking the edge.

A bullet from a Glock 19. Which isn't so easy to handle from that far away.

A Glock 19 that's being birdhandled. By a seagull. The bird on the roof has somehow produced a Glock when nobody was looking. It's somehow managing the weapon by steadying it against its body, bracing a webbed foot against it to help aim, and pulling the trigger with its beak. The Seagull is contorted in a HELL of a weird position to pull this off...
Hikaru Kurosawa     "Yeah, where we come from, beams are strictly sci-fi," Hikaru says to the odd floating girl. Which doesn't make you having a laser gun better, August! And once he's done with the Glock's magazines, he slips his earmuffs around his neck, because Maaka is there to demonstrate a new type of gun! Hikaru makes sure to neutralise his gun as well as he can as he listens to her - safety on, empty magazine unloaded, pointed down at the ground.

He's slightly alarmed that they're learning how to handle /automatic weaponry/, but it's better to know than to get caught out, right? So he listens attentively to their instructor as she explains. He makes sure to watch her carefully to see how to handle it, too, because he /definitely/ hasn't handled SMGs before. He doesn't take the first MP5 offered, but he's sure to accept one of the others Alexis hands out, along with some magazines. He points it towards the ground as he makes the changes she pointed out, setting it to semi-automatic fire and extending the stock as instructed.

That's about when a bullet whizzes past. Hikaru's attention snaps around and up, squinting as he tries to figure out exactly where that came from. It's a... seagull? Contorted around a gun? Hikaru scrunches up one side of his face as he tries to figure it out. "That's not - that's not normal, right? Is that normal?" Maybe it's normal on this world! He doesn't know!
Alexis Maaka     ALexis double takes as she, mid-lesson, sees a seagull with a gun. She waves her hands in front of her face, trying to make sure she's seeing what she's seeing, and just stares. "The fuck are you doing?!" She demands, as if the seagull's gonna just start speaking.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Not remotely normal at all," Yuna replies shakily, sounding and looking like she just had the not-quite-as-bad half of a heart attack at that sudden gunshot. It doesn't take her long to locate the 'seagull' - although Elner's sensors help quite a bit on that front.

And then she just *looks* at the seagull gunsel. Not smiling, not scowling, if you had to assign an emotion to the look on Yuna's face right now, it'd boil down to a kind of generally nonplussed 'WTF'. She's currently got no real idea who or *what* that is, but there's no way that's an ordinary seagull ... and Elner is currently standing by to initiate Yuna's transformation.
August Kohler August moves to grab, check, and prepare the MP5. He spots the bird, and is slightly alarmed by it, but replies calmly to Hikaru. "Oh, that. Kurosawa, that's just a Seagunn. Don't look at it too funny, it'll shoot you and steal your wallet."
Finna In storms Alexis! The Seagull de-contorts itself from around the pistol, letting it clatter down next to it. It turns beady bird eyes towards her... caws a bit quietly, and just STARES.

Maaka may have the distinct, and unnerving sensation that the bird's chiding her, since there's lessons to be learned today!

The bird then proceeds to SLAP the pistol's grip such that it flips back up into its grasp.

    *BANG!*

Another bullet hits the water, skidding the surface enough to kick up a neat ocean spray.

The light hitting the spray casts pretty rainbow shimmers... that... spell something?

    S E E G O N

The damn bird does not know how to spell.
Alexis Maaka     Alexis just blinks. "I guess this is happening now." She says at last, before she just looks at the others. "Alright ,back to lessons. Get shooting, folks! C'mon, we're burning daylight here!"
Yuna Kagurazaka "... Oh."

Yuna's recognition comes with a less-than-pleased tone to her voice - she only knows one shapeshifter who's that big of a show-off, even if she also has the skills to be shown off most of the time.

Yuna is quite content to ignore the 'seagunn' from that point onwards, taking one of the 'issued' MP5s, reacquainting herself quickly with its proper handling, loading and cocking it, and starting to squeeze off shots. She's more focused now - although the look on her face might not be quite so much 'concentration' as, say, 'carefully-contained dislike'.
Nagato     Nagato's there, overseeing the operation, Maaka's got it under control for a while, but with the errant shot from something, Nagato looks up towards where it was, aiming her gun... she wasn't sure if it was allied or not but... you can't take chances with this, especially on a military base. She takes a good look at it through the enhanced vision the Yugana Kaze gives her... a Seagull with a gun? She shakes her head and turns back, watching the 'kids' with firearms practice.

"Calm, steady shots, do not rush it." she comments, walking behind some of them, looking at the targets as well. "Shoulders up, hold the gun better. YOu might be shot at and you need control!" she doesn't have to worry much with at least /one/ person here, she looks to Kagurazaka and gives a light nod, "Keep it up, empty those clips, get the next one."
August Kohler As the light show goes off, August begins preparing to fire at the target. "They're notoriously bad at spelling, though." And then he begins firing. At first, it's all misses, the recoil and rate of fire messing him up. It takes him a few minutes, and maybe a clip, before he starts getting more accurate shots, as he plays with how the gun feels, trying to grow used to how it fires. And eventually, he gets a headshot! Fatality!
Hikaru Kurosawa     Oh, it's a seagunn. Wait, what?! Hikaru nods to August, only to double-take a second later. "Oh, come on, that can't be right." Not that his wallet has any money in it right now, but...
Luckily, Yuna is there to confirm that it is Absolutely Not Normal. The seagunn gets in on it by spelling its name out - poorly - and Alexis calls them to attention to continue training. "- Right!" Hikaru nods, putting on his ear protection and going back to the range.

Luckily, the distraction hasn't caused him to forget all the things Ensign Maaka went over before. Hikaru puts the gun up to his shoulder, as directed, and fires a short burst at the target. The Admiral admonishes him, and he puts his shoulder up, as instructed. He squeezes the trigger again, misses another shot - but he keeps trying, making sure to correct his stance when the recoil throws it off, and eventually he clips the target.
Finna The seagull carefully flips the safety back on for its gun... and holds it in its beak now. Without further ado it hops off its perch and glides down towards firing line. Birdform gives way, expanding fluidly. The shapeshifter somehow manages to time her loss of lift and arrival at a place at the firing lines with expert precision... far better than her literary works at least.

STRANGELY ENOUGH, now that she's human enough to have a proper face... it's pretty clear that she's a little bit... shy? Embarassed? Nervous? It's hard to say, but her smile's a bit anxious and shakey.

Show-off she might be, but something else has changed recently...

"My problem... isn't accuracy. It's taking care of the dang things..."

The Lunar glances left and right, gaze settling towards Hikaru and August... which considerably brightens her mood!

Somehow, in taking human form, she's taken earth-style clothing. Blue jeans and a... a white tank top that leaves plenty of mid-riff, but oh well. She's also sporting a gun belt with two holsters. One is for the Glock. the other has a Smith & Wesson revolver of some make...
Alexis Maaka     THE SEAGULL REVEALS ITSELF

"Well August, there goes your Seagunn theory." Alexis says as Finna reveals herself, noticing how she seems to have come prepared for the shooting. "Don't do what she does, unless you're willing to look like a total nut at first firing two guns like in the movies." She says dryly, ignoring the times she's had to go guns akimbo herself.

In any case, she shrugs a shoulder and nabs a Glock, loading and chambering the pistol before she takes aim at targets and fires at a consistent and accurate rate. It's -scary- how good with a gun she is, it's almost unfair, especially with how she seems to hit consistent groupings at this kind of distance.
Hikaru Kurosawa     The seagull glides to the range, and turns into someone Hikaru knows! (Shapeshifting will never stop being kind of strange to him.) "Hi, Finna," he smiles, making sure to angle the gun down when he turns to her. He can't help but notice how anxious she seems, so he tries to put her at ease with an easy and friendly greeting. "It's good to see you out here."

Even if her entrance was kind of startling.

That done, he focuses his attention back on the targets. He keeps his stance up, fires in controlled bursts, tries to make sure the gun is properly controlled -- and he hits his targets! Sometimes. It helps to stop between firing bursts and make sure everything's still in order. Slow and steady wins the semi-auto race.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna continues to remain focused on her shooting practice. Absorbing that much of the recoil on her shoulder is fairly unfamiliar to her - she's used to taking it through her hands and arms, instead of having her weapon kick against her shoulder like the MP5 does.

Other than that, her discipline remains pretty much unchanged - keeping her finger outside the trigger guard when she's not actually shooting (so, when she stops to reload), making sure not to aim at anything or anybody that she considers friendly.

And ... she doesn't usually ignore people, but she doesn't seem to have noticed Finna shifting into human form to join them.
Alexis Maaka     Maaka goes through a few mags worth of ammo, time passing by thanks to the rush of firing and reloading in her head. She eventually stops, letting her Glock lock empty as she places the gun back into storage.

She watches the others fire and fire and fire until she decides it's time to move on, and the lesson on M4s goes smoothly enough. Despite firing rifle rounds, the intermediate cartridge is much less intense than the trainees may have been expecting. Maaka may even request the ships providing the targets to move back a good bit, in order to give more of a challenge. 5.56 has a good bit of range in any case, which helps.

All in all, it's a good day, and hopefully the Union will recoup the cost of resupplying ammunition, since these guns ARE all hers after all.
