Mitsu Mirage      IT's a pretty afternoon today, sun high and bright, not a blemish in the sky and Beacon is busy as ever... especially with four new Faunus on campus. Everything should have been submitted, with Team MYST from another school, the new names for Mitsu, Sanary and Yari (at least, she thinks Yari had a nickname here, and Teal's assistance. The plan was to associate as students and huntresses for a while, see how Beacon is then plottings for 'other things'.

"So this is the famed Beacon Academy, huh? Looks pretty big." comes Magenta, MItsu's 'Faunus' name here, those rabbit ears twitching some. Her wristlets chime slightly and she looks at it, "Quiet Kratzenfaust, I can't use you here." she pats the modified Garlean Gunblade at her side, "Shall we get going?" she questions, looking towards the group behind her. "Today starts our lessons at Beacon, wonder who's all here."
Yang Xiao Long     "Hey! Heads up!" comes a /very/ familiar voice from off to the side. If Team MYST isn't careful, they'll find one of their number taken out by a flying ovoid object with local markings. Some kind of sport ball.

Yang comes jogging over, "Sorry about that, Ochre got too much toe on the ball and hoicked it all the way over here." A youngish male grumps from behind the blonde, his hair a ruddy red, like his namesake. "I did not, that was all you, Yangerang." he grunts, but smirks after.
Sanary Rondel Following closely behind Mitsu is Sana-er. Saffron, another one of Team MYST's Faunus members who's heritage isn't quite clear. It'd probably be clearer without the bucket hat on, but... Well, she's determined to keep that hat on. "Looks like. Let's see what we can find, huh?" She speaks in her usual tone at first, then clears her throat and adjusts her glasses (that she's wearing over a ratty-looking bandage covering her eye) to get herself ready to get into character, then...

Gets beaned right in the face with the oddly-shaped sports ball. Somehow, the impact doesn't damage the glasses, and Saffron just staggers back a few feet before promptly hiding behind Magenta once it's time to act her part!

And also because it's Yang coming to greet them of all people. At least that helps the nervous part of her act! She nods her head quickly at the punchy one as if accepting the apology, but still appears quite initimidated by the sudden greeting.
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna is *still* doing catch-up work.

To be fair, most students at Beacon are full-time students, and their Huntsmen/Huntress assignments are planned around breaks from regular classroom lectures and the like; the system wasn't really designed around an active idol singer and sorta-kinda magical girl who goes haring off to lend a hand with one situation or another. Really, it's a credit to Yuna that she's able to keep up with most of her classes in the first place.

But then there's the fact that most of the Remnant-native students already have a grounding in their world's history which Yuna (like the other Multiversal students) is still trying to catch up with. That basically adds up to an extra term paper or exam with distressing frequency ... and THAT's where she's been struggling.

The shout of 'Heads up!' in a familiar voice prompts Yuna to glance up briefly; fortunately, nothing seems to be headed towards her. Magenta, on the other hand, is not so fortunate - or raher, her friend isn't. Yuna saves her notes, slides her Scroll closed, and scoops that and her textbook up as she hurries over to help the ballsmacked student - if there's anything she can do to help, at least. "Are you okay?" she asks Saffron, offering a hand. Then she adds with a wry grin, "Hey Magenta, good to see you made it in as planned ..."
Neva Fernandez     Neva is not a sports person, but she's here! She's presently filling out her application for Extra-Versal student admission, at least she was until Yang decided to jump into it. After which point the game had all of her attention. Or at least, so long as it involved Yang.

She almost didn't notice when the ball flew past Yang (it was surely Ochre's fault! Or whoever it was..) and it's only when Yang goes to greet the new kids that she even realizes a minor sports blunder happened. Neva pushes herself up to her feet and wanders over to Yang's side, chipper as she says, "Hey, foul balls happen.... Obviously Ochre needs to be more carful!" Ochre might be annoyed at that, but she doesn't pat attention.

Neva then waves, "Oh, don't mind me, I'm filling out my application to the school. Extra-versal Applicants have special forms apparently. HELLO!"
Yari Takane Who else is here as well? Certainly not Yari, nope. Instead, beneath far too much makeup and other ninja cheating chicanery, is Cobalt. This not-Yari has kitty ears, short hair, glasses, and a rather large chain-scythe weapon curled up on her back. She's dressed in what seems like a mixture of the local student uniform with some added attempts at creating a yukata out of the whole thing.

Her skin's also notably darker than even Yari's own, and lacks in scales.

Pointing forward, the ninja lets out a grin. "It's so pretty! I just can't wait to visit it all! We'll have so much fun, won't we?" She states in her best bubblegum-pink, chipper voice.

A glance to not-Sanary might show a piece of her soul dying inside from this lack of discipline on display. For now, she'll follow the others.

And suddenly, Yang. And worse of all, it's /Yuna/! Yari's throat tightens, and she has to put on an effort to keep up her chipper facade.

"Oh noooooo!"
Mitsu Mirage     That voice is very familiar and, if she wasn't trying to infiltrate the school, she'd go back into punching her... until the fact that Saffron gets beaned in the face by a stray ball. Magenta sighs some, scratching a bit at her ear in confusion, "Really? You heard it Saffron! Oh well... I'll take care of it later." she muttered. She looks at the other approaching punchmaiden and frowns.

"Either way, it looked like it hurt my friend here... could ya be a /bit/ more careful? S'all I ask..." she does look at Yari's little bubblegum voice... and stares... she's going to have to have a talk with the Ninja later... but for now... there's a Yuna coming! "AH, Yuna! Yeah, I made it just fine, thanks. I appreciate the help." she smirks slightly, "How are you doing?" A wave is given to Neva since it got Mit...Magenta's attention. "It looks like they do... I wouldn't know." She gives a shrug and looks at Teal. "Name's Magenta. That's Saffron, Cobalt and Teal, my team mates. A pleasure."
Yang Xiao Long     Yang is taken a bit aback by the hostility from Magenta. "Hey, I said I was sorry!" she asserts, huffing and folding her arms over her chest... only to get bonked on the back of her head by Ochre. "Let it go Yangarang, lets just get the ball and finish the game, I'm sure I can still beat you!" he says, grinning, then glancing over at the new arrivals. "We'll give you a proper greeting later, 'kay?"

Yang just grumbles, goes to scoop up the ball, then finally seems to cheer up. "Hey, you're down six to nothin' Acher." she teases back, before giving a wave to the others, then hustling off back to the sportball arena area, marked out by piled up personal effects, like bags, satchels, etc.
Neva Fernandez     Neva in the mean time eyes the bunch of girls, listening in and not really knowing what to make of it all, before shrugging and sorta following along Yang, though politely waving to the bunch of girls again, and says to Yang, "Are Cliques a thing in Remnant? Because those girls feel very Clique-y... Oh god, are we a clique? Cliques are the worst..."
Tomoe Things are going well for Tomoe or as she's know here more often as Eisen, the small woman was still wearing clothing right out of GGO as it did seem to fit here fairly well and was just trying to find Yang after dealing with a bunch of classes and work however she's a bit later and comes up on Yang and everyone else but Neva would be the one to find a arm on her shoulder. "Hey there, your new, right?" Oh god someone homed in on Neva. She'll catch up with everyone else in a moment the new girl had her attention.
Sanary Rondel Saffron actually seems even more intimidated as more people start to gather around, partially due to a fair number of them (two, mostly) likely having good reason to beat her up should they discover her identity. Luckily enough, though, that just so happens to fit the image she's cultivating as the shy one of the group, and Yuna's offer of assistance gets a brief wave in response with no physical contact.

So far, so good. "It's... Okay." Saffron speaks quietly and much more conservatively in comparison to the much more bubbly Cobalt and even the de-facto leader Magenta. If it wasn't for the group getting so close, it'd probably hard to hear her!

Although there is some small relief as Yang turns to get back to her game, Saffron raises her hand briefly as if to try and stop her while hesitating to actually step forward. "I'm fine, really!" And then she's hiding behind Magenta again. "Y... Yeah my name's Sa... Saffron." Sanary didn't almost forget her own name already, did she? No, not at all.

Neva's presence does get a curious look from the behatted girl, though, and someone who's paying close attention might even notice that it seems to be a recognizing look. She catches herself quickly, though, and freezes up again when Tomoe makes her presences known as well. Just how many people does she recognize are here today?!
Yuna Kagurazaka If Yuna is offended by Saffron's reticence to accept the offered hand up, the blonde girl doesn't show it. She does smile and bow politely to the assembled Team MYST, though, and says, "It's good to meet all of you! I hope you have as much fun at Beacon as we've had so far - oh, hi Tomoe!" she waves to the newest arrival, smiling brightly.

"So which relics did you wind up collecting during orientation?" she asks casually. "Or did they use something other than chess pieces this year?"
Yari Takane Yari pointedly ignores any stares. Instead, as things seem to calm down, she does a cute little up-down jump in the air! She even claps her hands with as much child-like vigor as she can manage.

"Nice to meet all of you! Oh, don't mind Magenta, she gets that way some times, the grumpy-puss!" Did her voice just...crack when she said that? Certainly not. Ignore the brief second of looking green to the gills.

But Yuna brings something up, and she doesn't have an answer. Rubbing the back of her head, forcing a frown, she tries to look as ditzy as possible. "Aaaah...what was it again? I don't remember." She adds, sadly.
Mitsu Mirage     Magenta blinks, "We... collected something different than chess peices. We're actually from a different school, here for the Festival." she states, "Though, I'm sure we'll be transferring to Beacon if we like what we see, we're all ready to find a place to make us great." Neva's comment, though, gets her a quip...

"We're not a clique, we're just teammates and friends." she nods, turning towards everyone, "So what brings you all to beacon. YOu too, Yang. I'm a curious rabbit." a twist of her lip upwards and she reaches behind to pose slightly... "Will we see you and everyone here in the Festival?" she does turn to Yari though...

Before the rabbit could say anything, there's alarms or what have you to signify a small Grimm outbreak that needs to be taken care of... "So, we have things to do... don't we?" A quick brandish of her modified Garlean Gunblade, fit to hold a revolver clip of Dust Shells, "I think we have something to kill, don't we?"
Yang Xiao Long     "Damn it, this was my day off!" whines Ochre as the alarms start to blare. "It's still your day off, dumbass, let Primrose handle it, she's the duty pilot today." replies Yang, as she throws the ball at him as hard as she can... which naturally sends him skidding backwards, just barely stopping before crossing the 'goal line'.
Mitsu Mirage     "Well, guess we'll handle it then." Comes Magenta's response. "Enjoy your day off. Team MYST, let's mobilize, we have some people to show up... don't we?" she grins, running off in the direction the Grimm were stated to come from. "Get a move on, slackers!"
Yari Takane The kitty-eared not-Yari waves her hands in the air.

"The Festival is going to be so much fun! Ooooh, I hope I can dress up and....and will there be food and candy!?!?" Her eyes widen, and a suspiciously rough 'kitty' tail waggles.

Just in time for alarms to go off. Her bubbly demeanor drops about ten degrees, and something close to seriousness lurks in her eyes. Out come the sickle-and-chain, gripped in her hands. She's off like a bolt of lightning.

"We won't let anyone get killed by these monster Grimm!" Comes the bubbly cat with perhaps off-putting seriousness and drive. Here, Yari doesn't need to act as she follows near 'Magenta'.
Neva Fernandez     (BEFORE GRIMM)

Neva was in the process of tailing Yang when she suddenly has someone's attention that was not someone she initiated conversation with! She lets out an eep and at the shoulder tap, as she spins to face Tomoe, and blurts, "Yes! This is New! I mean... Hi, yeah, I'm new. I'm just... Sorta still working on the applying of things.

When Mits---MAGENTA responds to Neva, the redhead blinks a little before, scatching the back of her head, "Me? I'm just applying... Sorry, just... I have bad memories of previous schools before now..." She does pause, "There's a festival?

    (AFTER GRIMM)

SUDDENLY THERE IS GRIMM! Neva eeps a little and looks to calls out to Yang, "Yang, is that a monster attack? Shouldn't we be... You know... Helping?"
Yuna Kagurazaka The sound of alarms in the distance causes Yuna to snap from her relaxed, casual mood to an alert tension, and in the next instant, a flash of light surrounds her, replacing her Beacon uniform with her Light Suit. Maybe Yang is content to let their visitors respond to the attack; Yuna isn't the sort to shrug it off. "Catch you later, Yang!" she calls to the other blonde, then turns and sprints towards the source of the trouble.
Yang Xiao Long     Nearby, on the landing platform, sits a Bullhead with its engines spooling up. A female voice comes from the speakers. "Hey anyone responding, I'm heading out now, get yer asses onboard or I'm leaving yah!"
Sanary Rondel Sanary is trying very, VERY hard not to stare at Yari right now. That act is just so... So... Cute! Stupid and grating as hell, but still cute. Maybe her mild trembling might just look like more new student jitters.

"Good to meet you all, too. Er..." Shit. A question about a thing she doesn't know! Thankfully, Magenta has that handled along with answering NEva's query about... Clicks? Probably some Beacon or card magic thing she's not familiar with. Either way, it's not long until the alarm rings and she's suddenly looking like her spine exists again. "Now? Okay... Let's handle it."

And then she's off! The... Whatever kind of faunus Saffron is under that hat breaks into a rapid run to try and keep up, moving relatively quickly even if she's not as fast as either of her allies. As she runs, she picks up whatlooks like a big cloth-wrapped slab with a handle, although it's not clear at a glance what that bundle is besides heavy!
Tomoe Tomoe Grins at Neva and she says "Well then sounds like you need a friend, then. Come on I'll help show you around with everyone else. As for applying this is a pretty darn good school to attend I enjoyed it so far." Then there are grimm she muttters something as she moves to summon a shotgun seemingly from nowhere. Is in her hand and now she's springing to head out to deal with it. "Let's move."
Yari Takane Is the bubbly kitty blushing? Oh yes. She is. Someone save her pride if anyone calls her on this later.

For now, Not-Yari is quick to leap onto the back of the Bullhead ready to take off. The end of her chain is flicked out, practically used as a rope to haul on anybody with arms and equipment too heavy for them to leap with!

"Let's go and defeat the evil grimm! We Huntresses are WAAARRRIORS OF JUUUUSTICEEE!" She lets out in an 'inspiring speech'. Ignore the cracks and how she vaguely sounds like she wants to puke.
Neva Fernandez     Neva blinks a little and bwahs as Tomoe suggests going to deal with the Grimm, while Yang in the mean time heads off and lets the pros deal with it, "Um... Maybe I'll just stick with Yang... Because actually fighting things that have zero regard for turn order seems unhealthy..." She looks to Tomoe, "Ummm... Yeah... Maybe catch up later once Grimm are not a thing? Sorry, just... I'm gonna bail... Because Monsters... And I'm squishy, sorry.."

She proceeds to turn and run after Yang, "Yaaaang! Wait up!"
Mitsu Mirage     Magenta shakes her head at the fact that Yang /and/ Neva both don't wanna go, oh well... "Hey, this is Magenta, wait up for my team, we'll head out there to deal with the issue." comes the 'rabbit faunus', a training sword drawn as she readies up... "Sorry, my sword's in the shop getting fixed up... I broke it during training." she chuckled, "Team Myst, let's go!" as she at least arrives at the Bullhead, waiting to be launched into the fray!
Yuuki Konno     Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your point of view, Yuuki and her team ARE on duty today. They don't HAVE to hunt Grimm, but it's part of their duty to do so if the need arises. By contrast Yang's team is explicitly off-duty, and them stepping in might actually step on some toes. In an academy where everyone's training to be a hero, it's not always a good idea to jump in uninvited. Someone might think you're suggesting they can't handle it themselves.

Yuuki flies in, a streak of violet that doesn't /quite/ glow with enthusiasm. With those small batlike wings, and her headband pulled tight over the tops of her ears, she could possibly be mistaken for a local Faunus. By those who don't already know the truth, of course, or those who'd otherwise have no difficulty discerning a faunus from someone simply concealing an otherworldly nature. It's not a good disguise at all, but some people believe others would fall for it at least.

"Team MYST is it?" Yuuki beams as she swoops in, settling in for a graceful landing. She bows slightly, formally, not quite in the Japanese style but still more martial than courtly. "New here? All right, let's see what you can do! Team TEYL assisting!" she offers cheerfully.
Yuna Kagurazaka "And Team KYTL," Yuna chimes in as she jogs onto the Bullhead. "... what's here of it, anyway."

In other words, Yuna herself. She really needs to get her team back together and organized anew, and she knows it. Oh well - she doesn't mind letting Team MYST take the lead, they seem like they ought to be good fighters.
Yari Takane "Yup yup! It's Teeeeam MYST! And we're the bestest! Gimme an M! Gimme a Y! Gimme an ST! MYST!" Not-Yari does a flip in the air then lasts in a 'Y' formation like some kind of cheerleader! Oddly, her face is a little red for some reason! Maybe she doesn't like heights? It's definitely not embarrassment, nope, not at all.

What doesn't need any acting is how sharp her gaze is, as she awaits their landing towards the Grimm threat. She occasionally twirls the weighted chain end of her weapon. Slight nervous energy. This is already an op, and two-in-one of Yari really thinks about it. Even for someone like her, it's a bit stressful despite how well she can hide such things.
Tomoe Eisen aka Tomoe is keeping up with Yuuki who uis part of her team after all and she sees the arrival of a new group, honesly she's not going to complain about getitng more backup, with her shotgun out she seems ready to get into the tick of the fight. With tht she's bounding into the mess of Grimm. She's clearly taking lead at the momnent and it's not long before the agile redhead's shotgun is doing the talking for her against the grimm.
Sanary Rondel Climbing into the Bullhead, Saffron's still having trouble looking at anyone in the face as she eases her slab-with-a-handle into the Bullhead. There's too many people that could recognize her between Tomoe, Neva, Yuuki, and especially Yang! Yari's cutesy shtick is also making incredibly hard to keep quiet, and Mitsu...

Actually, Mitsu's not making it too difficult for the bucket hatted girl. "G... Good luck, everyone." She manages to squeak out, trying to keep her voice just loud enough to be heard amidst the sounds of everyone talking and the thrum of the flying deathtrap everyone's piling into.
Yang Xiao Long     "Alright alright... Team KYTL, Team TYLE and Team MYST? Well, good to have you. I'm Primrose, your pilot for today, and we've got a mess of Young Grimm massing in the Emerald Forest. These are small fry, but if they're allowed to mass like this, then it'll pose a danger to the new intake during Initiation." The female pilot's voice comes over the internal comm, as the Bullhead lifts off the pad, and vectors over towards the area. "CitySEC have recorded twelve Beowulf-type, lead by a Lesser Alpha, and three Ursa. Two Minor and one Major. Easy pickings, but remember to be careful, where there's one Grimm, there's always more."

The Bullhead comes to a stop above a clearing, opens its doors. "Alright, we're here. I'll be taking up a holding position, just radio when you're done and meet back here."
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki gives a brief frown of annoyance at the mangling of her team's name, but she doesn't cop enough attitude to really make an issue of it. Instead she spends much of the flight time peering at the newcomers, completely unselfconscious about any possible rudeness.

"Beowulves are pretty easy." she agrees. Most skilled Hunters can carve through entire packs solo, and some students as well. It's the Ursas that will be tough, relatively speaking. Both physically tough and taking more effort to put down. Them and the Alpha.

As the Bullhead opens its doors, Yuuki's quick to dive out the hatch. Not to dive headlong towards battle... that'd be one of her teammates instead. No, she does it just to be freed of the confines of the assault craft, where she's unableto move. She bounces around on the field, waiting for the others to gather before she draws her slender blade and starts actively hunting.
Yari Takane The bubblegum-flavored Cobalt's demeanor becomes a lot more serious once she leaps out of that bulkhead. Already spinning the chain end, her clothes flap in the wind as she finally lands. Breaking into a hard run, she begins to hunt as well. Her gaze slips to Sanary, pausing. A quiet, stoic Sanary!?

Yari tries to contain the blush. She's just so /cool/ right now!

The ninja forces herself to concentrate. A quick glance to both her team and the others gathered, then she does another leap into the air. Starting to twirl around, she lets the scythe portion of her weapon flick out as she gets closer to some of the Ursa amidst the pack! Cobalt is suddenly an incoming blender of a faux-faunus feline!
Mitsu Mirage     "Yeah, Team MYST. Pleasure to meet you, Primrose." she leans back listening to the Pilot blabber on about the Grimm, nodding here and there, "So, a bunch of targets that need to be smashed, huh? Gotcha. Sounds a bit simple. Get in, don't get killed, get out." she looks to Yari, a grin coming across her face as she points to the bracelet upon her wrist, then, when they arrive... she's leaping out of the transport and following along with her ninja friend!

Drawing that training sword, she smirks a bit, "Too bad I ccan't use her but this should be a good training, huh?" the faux rabbit faunus leaps around here and there, rushing into the pack of Beowulfs like a crazy person, hacking and slashing away at whatever Grimm decides to be stupid enough to go at her.
Sanary Rondel "C... Can't be too careful." Saffron replies with an idle rub of her head through the hat. A signal, perhaps? Or is her head just itchy? It's hard to tell. "Smashing... Sounds good."

Either way, once the Bullhead reaches its destination, she's eagerly rushing out of the vehicle (not entirely due in part to it being a FLYING vehicle), and she quickly shows off why she's brought that slab of whatever with her. Landing with a heavy slam, the disguised Sanary...

Just stands there for a moment. It might just look like the girl's shellshocked, but it's actually to let her legs heal up a bit first. She's not conditioned for those kind of hard landings! Once she can feel her legs again, though, it's time to get to work. She charges forth with the slab in hand, the cloth wrapping it staying in place as she takes aim at one of the Ursas.

Who needs finesse? No, she's just going to go for the tried-and-true method of introducing a heavy, sturdy object to her opponent's hopefully less sturdy face!
Yuna Kagurazaka "Just don't let them gang up on you," Yuna advises Team MYST (plus Yuuki). If the Beowulves are spread out, take advantage of that ... and if you see one that's distinctly bigger, taking out the leader should be a good thing."

She does a quick headcount: if they split up evenly, two Beowulves each plus splitting up the Ursae. Then Yuna grimaces; she'd be happier with one of her partners here, particularly if it were Jiina, but ... well, she's NOT alone, and that's kind of the important part.

Once the Bullhead touches down, Yuna slips out as quickly as she can; Elner flits up into the air for better oversight of the area, but rather than charging straight into the fray, Yuna materializes the Matrix Divider in her hands and sets off at a more sedate pace, angling off to one side and *listening*. Once Elner gets a fix on the various Grimm, the robo-faerie can direct Yuna to assist more accurately.
Yang Xiao Long     The Bullhead didn't drop the group in the middle of the pack. That would be suicide and very bad piloting. The Grimm /are/ nearby, and the sound of the Bullhead draws them into the clearing to investigate. The Alpha is easy to spot, it's bigger, has a much more angular face and corresponding mask, and this one even sports some wicked looking claw-gauntlets with long bone talons. It howls, and the rest of the young Beowulves charge, leaping and swiping with claws, only to get batted aside, sliced in half, or shot through by the responding hunters. The Ursa aren't anywhere to be seen to start with, but then, the Minors crash through the brush on the opposite side from the Beowulves, roaring and lumbering to attack from behind.
Tomoe Tomoe gets the idea to leap out of the transport once they are there. She looks to Yuuki afor a moment grinning. "You ready? Just don't get cocky, that's how you end up dead." She takes a moment to ready her weapon and away she goes joining the others as they exit the transport and she makes ready to get into the thick of things with everyone else.

"Just call me Eisen."

She notes and she now opens up on the few GRIMM get past her allies and their weapons.
Yuuki Konno     Beacon, and the rest of Remnant, is pretty big on flinging people around. Having a good landing strategy is one of those essential things whether you're just tough enough to take it, can fly, or use weapons that dish out massive kickback. Yuuki can fly, but in this case they're low enough she doesn't really need to. She's light after all.

Yuuki charges in with her trademark reckless offense. She doesn't fear being surrounded, because she just goes around, through or over enemies to get to a new position at will. Speed is her greatest ally, though even more than speed she relies on her perception to see everything coming and to not be in place to get hit by it.

Her attack on beowulves is just as confusing to them as it is to any other opponent. She stabs, slashes, and whirls her way through the crowd, not stopping to do more than wound each enemy she passes. Wounds add up. She may not finish any creature with any single blow, but she could deal with the pack if it was really necessary. It isn't, of course, but she's content to let others score the killing blows for the bonus XP. In the meantime the violet dervish will provide distraction and support to heavy-hitters in roughly equal measure.

Of course NO ONE attacks Yuuki from behind. When one of the Ursa attempts it, she holds still for the attack until the very last moment, then abruptly vanishes, ducking under the creature's sweeping blow then bobbing up with a vertical slash before springing off the beast in midair. She spins as she pushes herself way, leaving a spinning horizontal cut as well to remember her by, grinning like a madwoman as she sets down, only to rocket off in another direction to help someone else...
Yari Takane Not-Yari definitely saw that tap. In but a glance to Mitsu, her gaze shows the kind of realization of her dead dignity being applied to tape. H...how much did she record!?

Thankfully Yuna is good at giving advice! The tactical info gets a nod from the now deadly serious Cobalt. Maybe she's a peppy idiot only before the mission starts? Could be a good Huntress trait.

Massive Alpha and a ton of Beo's in the front, Ursa's from the back. Seems Yuuki has the back covered, and Not-Sanary is about to smash some fools. Tomoe's opening up, and Mitsu is hacking right into the middle of the chaos too! Thus, Yari decides to stay back somewhat behind the wall of more tough 'huntresses'. Spinning in place, she gets a good windup on her weapon, and then lashes out! That chain-sickle is pretty long, and so where Sanary smashes, in comes that scything blade to give her some breathing room. Mitsu too gets help with a few thrown...combat daggers. The ninja had to change it up a bit. Not her favorite form of throwing object, but she'll take it.
Yuna Kagurazaka -- oh boy.

One of the Ursae Minor turns out to be bearing right down (no pun intended, honest) on Yuna, barely giving her time to think, let alone protect herself. Still, the Savior of Light raises the Matrix Divider, snapping off a couple of quick shots and trying to nail her almost-attacker in the mask; it's not going to do much more than blind the Grimm, and that likely just temporarily, but it's the best she can do without more time to prepare.

Still, if getting shot in the face disrupts the Ursa Minor's charge, that gives Yuna the time to switch her grip to sword mode - and with a loud kiai, Yuna swings diagonally upwards, channeling as much power through her weapon as she can in a hurry, and trying to punctuate it with an extra burst to the bear-like Grimm's neck.

She KNOWS she won't have time to recuperate, whether that finishes her first target off or not; her ponytail whips around behind her as she looks back and forth, anticipating that something else is going to be coming after her in extremely short order. Maybe the other Ursa Minor, maybe one of the Beowulves, maybe something that the intel DIDN'T pick up on. But there are more than enough Grimm to go around even with just the info they got on the transport - and that means, unless everyone in the group acts fast and in some kind of coordinated manner, *somebody* is going to get dogpiled by these monsters.

Yuna doesn't really want to be the one getting dogpiled - but she's not going to let any of her allies suffer that fate either, if she can prevent it.
Mitsu Mirage     Mitsu's slicing and dicing and blowing all the Beowulfs away, grinning widely, "See, these aren't so tough!" she smirks, looking towards a few other Grimm. "Hey, C'mere, you guys are just small fry! I'm taking you out with a /training blade/!" she taunts one of the Ursae Major before bouncing towards it, "C'mere you, you're my target now." she looks at the blade a bit, wait, did it have any dust crystals or cartridges in it?

Oh well, she makes a leap with it and tries to do a downward slice right up against the Ursae Major's Head!
Yang Xiao Long     Mitsu's zealotry earns her a very angry Ursa Major, as it exits the treeline in the wake of the two lesser siblings. A massive paw lifts to catch the training blade... and then the other comes across to SMACK the Faux-Bunny Faunus aside with a growl if... disgust? Either way, it just plows on through, and comes to bear down(Ha ha) on Saffron as he smacks around more of those Beowolves.

Yuna's attack manages to stagger the Ursa Minor, and the empowered slash doesn't manage to cut clean through the things neck, but it's caused enough damage that the thing just collapses into a smoking pile as she pulls her weapon free.

The rest of the group seems to be doing well enough. Yuuki's weakening, while Cobalt sweeps and clears. Eisen's contribution keeps the group from being overwhelmed in any single area... but then the Alpha leaps into the fray, aiming specifically for the most annoying member of the group, Yuuki, with its giant bone talons, attempting to bring both of them down in a cross-slash to try and limit her options.
Yuuki Konno     It's not easy cutting down Yuuki's options, but the imp isn't invulnerable. She swings that sword of hers in a power-parry, quite possibly doing serious damage to one of those sweeping talons. It leaves her open to the other however. She accepts this, having fought many battles where she'd trust her armor and toughness to take a hit in return for dishing out a deadlier one. Speed and avoidance is important, but you can't hold aggro while being a hundred percent defensive.

She gets smacked hard, but metal armor keeps the blow from being completely savage. Her light weight means she's smacked far, skidding and rolling from the blow, but that too reduces the penetration of the attack. A series of bright red lines blossom on her side, but no visible blood. Again, not THAT dissimilar to damage taken by an aura-protected Huntress...
Mitsu Mirage     "Kyaaaaaah!" THUNK! The faux-bunny Faunus is easily smacked aside, taking a relatively nasty tumble and slamming up into a tree, cracking it. "Okay..." *COUGH* "Ow. Ow ow ow..." there's a bing from her wristlet... "not now..." she whispers, coughing up again. "Okay, they... they hurt." Mitsu stands up, a lbeit shakily, and draws that sword again, "If only I could punch it..." she muttered before charging it again, "How /dare/ you lay a paw on me, filthy brute!"

A small burst of electricity encompasses her legs to make her move faster than usual, zipping around the Ursa to try and slam a few blunt strikes and an electric shock right into that Ursa, "How /dare/ you lay a paw on me... I will wear your claws as a necklace!"
Yuna Kagurazaka Incoming Alpha Beowulf, too fast and too violently for Yuna to react in time. It's almost fortunate that she's not the target.

Almost. Because it's somebody ELSE who takes a potentially devastating hit ... and only knowing who (and what) Yuuki is keeps Yuna from completely flipping out.

"SHUGOSEIHEKI!!" Yuna shouts, nearly at the top of her lungs; the Matrix Divider vanishes and Yuna's kite shield, the Wall of the Guardian Star, flares into existence on her left forearm. The blonde girl doesn't even wait for her shield to fully finish manifesting before she dashes to interpose herself between the looming Alpha and the fallen form of Yuuki; as soon as she's in position, she turns to face the Grimm, her kite shield raised to block the next attack.

Because Yuna is CERTAIN there'll be a 'next attack,' and she's not going to leave Yuuki defenseless in the face of it. Between Shugoseiheki itself and the Light Suit's defensive aura, even in her basic form Yuna can probably tank better than anyone else who's actually here - and she's willing to stake her life on it, to protect her friends and allies.

On the downside? This puts Yuna in full defensive mode; she does have one-handed weapon options but she isn't trying to bring any of them to bear just yet .... again, no pun intended.
Tomoe Eisen is taking note og the new team there is no doubt they are /good/ they are very good. Also then She sees Yuuki just go on a rampage just hacking slashing and otherwise being the adorable blender, Eisen knows her to be. She also spots Yari and the ninja is dfamn good, very damn good and Mitsue is also proving herself. She tracks Yuna as well, she keeps going on to support people, and the song of her shotgun echos across the woods as they keep fighting.

"Come on you think you can eat me? Better have tried!"
Sanary Rondel On the plus side, nobody's really batting an eye at Sanary's strength as she slams her slab into an Ursa Minor's face, and she narrowly avoids getting a Beowulf jaw clamping down on her arm thanks to Yar-er. Cobalt's intervention! She gives the bubbly ninja a quick nod in thanks, then winces as she's forced to bring her slab up to defend against that bear's counter-swing.

"Mmn... Not bad. Could be worse..." She mutters to herself and grins for a brief moment, but quickly settles back into the anxious look upon recalling that she needs to keep her game face on! Which isn't a game face at all, but... Wait, was she supposed to look awkward even during a fight? Not too awkward, but...

Bah. Too much thinking, not enough smashing! She staggers back for a moment, then gets ready to take another large swing at the Ursa Minor when something else strikes her from the side.

Crap. It's a someone, and said someone is injured! "Hold on, I got ya!" The healer wraps an arm around the figure protectively while pumping out some healing magic, only to let go with a startled grunt when she realizes that it's Yuuki of all people! She looks genuinely frightened for that moment between her being that close and with Yuna nearby, and...

Well, hopefully they don't notice just who Saffron is from that.
Yari Takane Amidst all the chaos, Yari recognizes a few things: Zekken gets smacked, Sanary panic-heals, Yuna's being the Yuna she knows, and there's also the din of combat going on around her. Mitsu just got slammed, too, and things are kinda looking bad. Some of these people might be enemies, but they're ones she /respects/.

She can't exactly heal someone, and she can't exactly take a blow to save someone. All she can do is use her speed. And here, as a 'Huntress', her 'Semblence'. She remembers her research into the Abilities of those she's pretending at. And so the ninja cups something small and round. 'Collapsing' the chain-sickle into just a single hand-tool (thank you springs and hidden buttons!) she uses her other hand to cup and hide the lighting of a small fuse. Her gaze narrows as she endures some minor burning while she uses the distractions caused by her team-mates to barrel towards the Alpha!

She gives a single slash aimed not for any vital point, but a warding, feinting gesture in the hopes it will take a step back. Nor does she pause at all, intending to rush past it. No back attack here.

At least with her melee weapon. In all the confusion, she drops the hidden bomb while trying to use the creature's bulk to conceal the motion. If all goes well, all anyone will see is a sudden gigantic plume of purple smoke around the creature. IN truth, it's one of yari's particular bombs, this time an acid cloud meant to corrode tough armors of beasts or heavy infantry soldiers. It also is completely merciless in the amount of pain it causes.
Yang Xiao Long     The Alpha howls as its talons are sliced off, but it connected with the other side, and turns to finish the job... it's remaining talon coming around, only to strike into Yuna's shield. The other arm arches back to bring a clenched fist into the shield to try and break the Guardian Shield's poise... but then SUDDENLY PAIN CLOUD. An agonized howl and sudden flailing mark the Alpha getting hit by Cobalt's 'Semblance', the acid chewing away at it's armour and body... and then it falls over, bursting into black smoke.

The Ursa Major is the only remaining Grimm, and it seems to have a very annoying thing on its back as Mitsu leaps and starts stabbing. The giant bear flails, unable to reach behind it to dislodge its unwanted passenger. The rest of the lesser Grimm fall to the combined effort of the group, leaving the Ursa Major completely alone.
Mitsu Mirage     The Rabbit isn't going to be happy once she's done, and she'll probably need a shower, healing and taunting her Yari after this to get better. Her sword stabs multiple times right into thehuge bear like thing that she's on, she tries to keep herself on it. "Hey, hey guys, smack this thing to death! I can't hold on much longer y'know!" she holds herself still, trying not to let much of her own power show. "DIE DIE DIEEEEE~" and with a word that's almost like 'screw it'... she courses thunder through her blade... because that's totally a Dust Shell, right?
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki's not too badly hurt, though of course the hit was extremely painful. Far worse than taking a hit in a VR game. She's used to pain though. It was her constant companion for the longest time before the Medicuboid, and besides she's always been one to attack the source of pain rather than flee it. And her body isn't actually rendered any less effective by agony. She struggles to her feet, aided by Saffron, with her attention firmly on the nearby enemy rather than the one helping her. She has to be ready to dive in again, after all.

Yuna prevents the need, tanking admirably. Yuuki can relax. "Ooowwww." she complains; a somewhat self-pitying moan that's clearly not the thoughtless sounds of gut-wrenching agony.

When Saffron abruptly pulls away, cutting off the flow of power, Yuuki frowns. Not in anger, but she's stung by what appears to be a rejection of some sort. "Hey! It's okay, I don't bite!" she says, trying to say something light to hide the pain of rejection. It's one of those things she fears most after all, though not so much as she fears pity.
Tomoe Tomoe sees everything has been cleaned out now with the skill of her allies who have long become friends. The new team has proven it self and then some. She grins a little bit as she now moves to pull a grenade from somewhere. Where the hell /did/ she hide tht thing in the body suit she's wearing? That's a good question and one she's not going to say as she moves to leap for the Grim wiating for a moment it's maw opens and she'll move to throw the armed grnade down the thing's throat.

"EAT THIS!"
Yari Takane Down goes the Alpha, for a brief moment 'Cobalt' lets out a sigh of relief, completely honest but subdued in nature. A far cry from the chipper demeanor she's shown before. Her gaze immediately latches towards the other Hunters and 'Hunters' in the group. Is Cobalt a different person on the battlefield, perhaps?

the 'Huntress' immediately pulls herself into a brief bubblegum-ish giggle as she sees everyone is alive. It drops like a hat. One tossed aside with contempt, at that. The contrast wasn't exactly intentional at all. Hopefully it won't make anyone suspicious.

Ursa Major yet lives. Alone. The perfect target for an assassin. A step forward, but she manages to pause. She can't leap into a killer's instinct. No, she has to be a hunter. It's a subtle distinction, but there. And Yari is the type of culinarian to stalk fish and beasts, but the kind of soldier that's in spec ops. Oddly, this might be her perfect black ops assignment.

Yuuki protests in pain, and 'Cobalt' pauses to inspect the Prey.

Tomoe goes for the grenade. It's a good opportunity. Yari extends the chain-sickle, and twirls the weighted end. Waiting until the others rush in, she leaps high into the air and lashes out with that relatively small weight. It will probably hit hard enough, but then she twists in the air and draws it towards her body. Flipping upside down, she starts to spin as she heads towards the Ursa Major. Both sickle and weight form a twirling storm of sharp-and-blunt metal all at once. A reckless attack, by Yari Takane's standards. But something she'd expect out of a Huntress, judging by Yang's standards.

The ninja might have gotten weird standards.
Sanary Rondel Saffron seems thoroughly relieved when Yuuki doesn't seem to recognize her one bit, although she's not quite sure how to react to the Imp's reply. "Eh? N-no, I.. Uh.. Sorry! About grabbing you and..." She makes a vague arm-wrapping motion like she had done earlier while stumbling over her own words, only partially faking that. "I mean, unless you wanted that, but..." She really isn't sure how to react, but one thing's certain, at least.

That's probably the most words anyone here's gotten out of Saffron thus far. She might also sound just a little familiar in tone to a certain Spriggan, but... That's probably just a coincidence, right?

With the Ursa Major being the last remaining target, though Saffron's ready to charge back into the fray! "M... Maybe after we help finish that off?" She manages an awkward smile at that, then gestures at the Ursa before breaking into a run again, although she doesn't go for a swing to the face like she had with the Ursa Minor. Tomoe's already aiming for its head, Cobalt is attacking from a distance, and Mitsu's keeping the beast occupied already. That leaves Saffron to turn her attention towards the beast's legs instead. Once that plume from Cobalt's smoke bomb clears, she aims a big swing at the Ursa's legs with her slab of whatever!
Yuna Kagurazaka Whatever that cloud was, it chewed the Alpha into collapsing before Yuna even had a chance to bring out one of her other weapons; the threat is eliminated, leaving Yuna a little confused and a lot relieved. The Ursa Major goes down in short order as well, thanks mostly (but not solely) to Magenta. Yuna just keeps her shield ready until all of the Grimm are accounted for.

*Then* she turns her attention to Magenta ... still with that big shield strapped to her left arm. "And that's why you never let your guard down in the wilderness ... are you okay? You looked like you took a pretty bad hit, even with Aura to absorb some of it ..."
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki's puzzled, confused and somewhat stung by what's going on. She's not very sophisticated, not very good at reading depth into anything going on. She's just a little too pure to easily see through deception. So Sanary's awkwardness kind of meets its match here, contrasting well with Yuuki's innocence.

She nods dubiously when the hamgirl offers something after the fight ends. Healing? Well, probably. Briefly Yuuki considers exaggerating her injury a little to make this weird girl more willing to approach, but she abruptly shakes her head. That's really not her thing. She is who and what she is, and she's not about to be fake just to make someone like her! If she's avoided for being herself, then so be it! "I'm okay really." she grins, watching as the Ursa Major falls. "The hit looked worse than it was. And my ... er, my aura'll have this healed in no time." she adds. That's not being fake really. It's just explaining things in terms that better fit in locally. An adaptation of the truth rather than a falsehood! "I'm a lot tougher than I look!" she adds with a grin, the pain of her wound either forgotten or overcome by grit.
Sanary Rondel After the last Grimm is slain, Saffron lets out a relieved sigh and sets the top of her slab down, holding it by the handle while glancing about at the hunters' handiwork. "Anyone hurt?" She asks, her voice as quiet as ever. Although she looks towards Magenta and Cobalt first (especially the former considering her gambit to keep that Ursa Major occupied), she only gestures at them to approach for healing before heading for Yuuki first.

Yes, she still feels bad for getting that look out of her. As she gets some of that healing magic ready, Saffron approaches her and reaches out to try and get her in a more direct, if distinctly more squirmy hug. This one's not happening in the heat of battle, after all, but she still has to make sure the Imp isn't harboring any internal bleeding or something!

Or however those status effects work in Wander Mode. It's not like she's even attempted it herself or anything. "J-just in case. I've seen.. Uh. Some people.. Try and tough it out before." She swallows nervously, inwardly pleased at her save from almost divulging her work in medical.

This is probably why she really shouldn't talk in covert missions.
Yuuki Konno     Yuuki didn't actually TRY to draw Saffron in with the healing thing. This is Saffron's choice, right? So Yuuki sees no reason to refuse healing. She doesn't LIKE pain or anything, and besides she should really try to minimize hurts considering what she's heard about avatar damage beginning to bleed over into actual bodily harm.

This hugging though, awkward as it is, isn't what she expected. She doesn't object though. With no real concerns about personal space and frankly enjoying close contact as much as she does, this isn't a bad thing at all. She ends up giggling though at the squirmy nature of the healing hug. It really is pretty funny! And no, she doesn't have any internal injuries. Technically she isn't sure she has any actual internals... but of course her virtual body's made of something! She's hardly a shapeless blob of protoplasm or whatever. Regardless, her injuries aren't severe and pretty easily treated.
