Owner Pose
Sokka Sokka was sitting in the sitting area, a piece of sandpaper in one hand, a weird shield paperweight in the other. Polishing the metal and trying to get it nice and perfectly shaped. He still had a long, long, looooong way to go, it seemed.

But hey, it looked like it would look nice when all finished, at least.
Maya Maya is not looking like she's fallen out of mad max today, she's looking more like someone ready to go clubbing on earth in the earily 2000s though with her style of dress one would see where her mordanrote t-shirt sleeves end? Strnge tattoos, pretty trible like on her and she's just comming out of her newly claimed room where there's small stack of metal containers outside of but she heads to the lounge area to flop into one of the chairs. "Hey."
Shokudaikiri New ship get! Well, the whole faction did, not just Shokudaikiri. Either way, he's interested to know what it's all about. So that's why he's wandering through the ship now, when Sokka and Maya are there! Though he's definitely not watching where he's going.

So watch out! There's a fellow with black hair, an eyepatch, and the remaining visible eye the color of molten gold, dressed in a military-esque uniform, complete with pauldron and half a tasset, wandering around and not watching where he's going!
Sokka Sokka glanced up and smiled, leaning back in his seat. "Why hello~" he said in a flirtatious tone. "Can I help you with anything?" he asked with a big grin. "What's a pretty thing like you doing here? If I had known such pretty girls like you were in the Paladins, I would have joined--"

And then BAM! Shoku to the back of the head when he hits the couch . "Ow! Hey!" Then... "Candlestick man? what are you doing here? Get off me!" The imprint of the shield was on his face.
Maya Maya grins a bit "Honestly just taking some time off from moving into my quarters not as big as what I had on Najourn but still bigger than home. I'm just going to take ...." She watches the impact and starts lauhging hard but also does pull out a smart phone and snaps a picture laughign all the while."This...this is priceless!"
Shokudaikiri OH HEY THERE'S A COUCH THERE! Shokudaikiri emits an 'ooop!' and falls, ending up -- yes indeed -- right on Sokka. Fortunately he's actually pretty light. Comes from being a spiritual projection and not a person, one supposes. He flails about a bit, trying to figure out what he fell on that's so wriggly. And then Maya snaps a picture... just as he looks up to see what's going on.

He realizes it all at once. Likely helped along by Sokka's 'get the hell off me'. He's surprisingly spry, kicking up to his feet in what would probably be an impressive display of acrobatics if a human had done it. He's not a human, though. "Whoops! Sorry about that." He pauses to assist Sokka in getting himself back in order. "Should have been paying attention."
Sokka Sokka acked, his eyes going wide. "H-hey! I know what those are now! stop that!" At least he didn't try to chop up her camera with his sword this time. He dusted himself off, quickly getting to his feet and shaking his head.

"You know, you should be more careful. I'm used to women 'falling' for me, but not usually swords." He said with a light chuckle.

Then glanced to Maya, taking her hand and placing a kiss upon it. "Hello, madam. My name is Sokka, a pleasure to meet you."
Maya Maya says "So you two having funthere?" Maya seems very amused and hascalmeddownfromout right laughingthough. "Hello, My name is Maya good to meet you both. I guess he was getting to the point with you?"Oh god Maya's punningnow /too/
Shokudaikiri Shokudaikiri emits a 'pffft' sound, a laugh, when Sokka mentions swords 'falling' for him. "Not to worry. If I fell for anyone, it was the couch. It really swept me off my feet." He can't help but grin a little. He's perfectly willing to make a little fun of himself. The truly 'cool' people don't get flustered over accidents, right? Not gonna lose his cool over tripping over a couch!

And then he's laughing all over again when Maya starts punning. "Pretty 'sharp' observation!" Oh God now HE'S doing it. But he bows, in a typical Japanese bow of greeting. "I'm Shokudaikiri Mitsutada, favored blade of Lord Masamune Date. Pleased to meet you."
Sokka Sokka nodded and gave an even bigger grin. "Well, he had to take a stab at it, but sadly for him I already have space sword so he just won't cut it." You two caused this. You did this. You all have to deal with it now.

"So, are you both members of the paladins now? I guess they steel need to iron some details out with you, right Candlestick man?
Maya It's even worse give Sho is a /sword/ Maya seems amused for a moment though. "You know I'd have been shocked once but now It's just ... interesting to meet someone whose so unusal even fot hte multivese and ... I think we're punning too much Sokka, was it? Yes, they made me an offer though I'm disturbed at some of the thing they found out about me." She'll have to figure that one out later given the alterntives? Septerra needed support and the Paladins seemed the best bet.
Shokudaikiri Shokudaikiri seems to be having trouble keeping from laughing now. "Ow. Ow ow ow. The puns. They burn." Despite his words, his tone indicates he's amused about it all. "Not really though, in all seriousness. They've been working hard, and they know what my world's up against. We could use all the help we can get."

He pauses at Maya's account of her dealings with the Paladins. "Well, there wasn't really too much to 'find out' about Lady Iroha and me. And they didn't threaten us. Just said we'd get military backing if we joined. And that's really what we need. Besides, neither one of us wants to lead, and the Paladin's backers have a thing about that, right?" He's referring to that whole 'those with powers should not be in command/control' thing.
Sokka Sokka shrugged. "Really? Honestly, they didn't even want me. They were more like 'We'll take Toph. Oh, her dumb friend can join too,'" ... It was hard to say if that was a joke or not. It sounded reasonable. I mean, who would want HIM on their team? Hadn't they suffered enough?
Maya Maya says "It could be wores it couldbe someone with the power to actually weaponize puns." It's the multivese it's likely happening out there somewhere She leans back a bit and pockets her phone.

"It's a hell of a mess out there I admit and we have a lot of strays from the old Union, thankfully we can talk most of them down but with some of the other outfits forming up..."
Shokudaikiri Shokudaiki frowns at Sokka's account. "I doubt it. The Paladins seem unlikely to waste resources on someone they don't think would be useful in some way," he says. "Besides, didn't you say you were the planner in Toph's group? That's probably why."

Maya's words get a nod. "Things are still a mess. They're probably going to be for a while. It feels weird... and I'm just going to say it, really damned uncomfortable, not knowing where the lines are drawn. But things will eventually settle down."
Sokka Sokka blinked a few times. "Oh my gosh. Weaponizing PUNS! That's perfect! I've done it a few times to annoy people, but actual Weapons? That's brilliant!" he said, his eyes going wide with excitement. "I need to talk with the paladins about that!"

"Hmmm? Oh, I was the planner. But I'm not such a good planner anymore. You know how it is. Things just don't work the same here they did back home. My skills are nowhere near the same." He went back to polishing the shield.
Maya Maya Says "They will likely be a mess for sometime. We can only do what we can, that's part of why I'm here honestly...Sokka?! No there's some standards...we have to adher to as Paladsins." She looks horrifed at what she's infulenced Sokka on and just sinks into her couch abit more.
Shokudaikiri "I've heard the Confederacy's stronghold used to be powered by people being conceited asses. So if that's possible, weaponizing puns is probably possible," Shokudaikiri replies. Not helping, CCP! But he nods to Maya's words. "We'll all just have to do our best, yeah." He seems unaware of what he's just encouraged.
Sokka Sokka smirked. "Hey, that'd be awesome! I am the greatest at puns! If I was able to weaponize them, I'd be able to pun-ish all who stood before me! I'd be un-punnable! It would be pun-re, unadulterated mayhem! Mwa ha ha ha ha! Even the benders of my world would have to kneel before Pun master Sokka!"
Maya Maya says "I have no idea there, I never got there but it's gone now. I'm worried about what happened to the lix of Xiang and their R&D department I should lean on Staren since he's in the League now. Given the war crimes some of them might be wanted for? I should see what I can do there. We have an old intact Confederate base on my world which is ... going to have to be handled. I know most of the governments on my world want it /gone/" She looked to SOkka and pauses. "Pun Bender?"
Shokudaikiri Shokudaikiri's laughing again, all the puns. "Write a theater production about puns and sit them down to watch it. It'd be a play on words." Yeah, that was pretty bad, but still. "Though some are immune to puns. I've met those sort before. Lady Iroha's like that. I tried to tell her a pun to make her laugh, but no pun in ten did." Aw, geez...

Maya's mention of a Condeferate base gets a nod. "Let me know if you need any help dismantling it. I'm good at dismantling things. Particularly if I can cut them up. I'm still pretty sharp, even if it's not bronze."
Sokka Sokka blinked a few times. Then burst into laughter. "Oh man, play on words, I'll have to remember that one." He was so awful. Seriously. He was the worst possible person. "Yeah, a pun bender. Because I know how to... turn a phrase," he said with a big grin. A big dopey you want to apologize for it.

"Yeah, I have to be honest. Never met many talking swords. Especially not ones with such a rapier wit."
Maya Maya Says "I will we'll have to wait untill we're asked however it won't be long there's no love for the Confederacy on my world not very wellloved for the most part... and Sokka? Your wit will get dull at this rate from over punnage." She just looks like she's about to throw a couch pillow /at/ him for that pun.
Shokudaikiri Shokudaikiri grins mischievously when Sokka catches the pun. "Really though. I'm sorry, that was pretty bad." But he's still snickering. So bad it's good, apparently. And he snickers at the 'rapier wit' comment. "All part of being a sword, my good man."

Maya's words about the handling of the Confederate base gets a nod. "That's true. I suppose was can't just go bashing things up without a warrant or something of the kind. That whole 'enforcing of laws' thing."
Sokka Sokka grinned wider. "I don't know, I need to keep myself pretty sharp. Jsut ask Toph, I've got years of experience." He then blinked and glanced off to the side. "Not every confederacy guy is evil though, you know. I mean, I've met at least one who was pretty cool." Not like he had thought she was cute or anything.
Maya Maya Says "Or a request then again laws are far simpler on my world than Earth. Though I'm not looking forward to certain worlds laws I'm aware of if we have to deal with them. I'll deal with it when that comes." She's seen some serious things in her time and wonders if any of the Paladins are going to break and say the hell with it? Or maybe even her self either way. It depends on the fed honestly some like Comrade Crush I'll deal with, there's no malice it's not like he's knowingly hurt kids, but there are others remants of the feds old R&D department i worry about."
Shokudaikiri Shokudaikiri nods at Sokka's words of not everyone in the Confederacy being evil. "Oh, I know. Though the waters are muddier now," he remarks. Maya's words about the old R&D department get a nod. "Like I said -- the waters are muddier now. Before it was easy to tell who was ambition before ethics. Now, not so much."
Sokka Sokka nodded. "Yeah. Lots of weird things going on with the multiverse now, what with all this... this," he said with a wise nod. "But hey, we'll figure it all out soon enough. I mean, borders will be drawn up, friend and foe will be decided. We'll have to smash a few heads, but it'll probably all worek out in the end."
Maya Maya Says "THey are a hell of a lot muddier now. I know some of the Union's science staff has gone over to the League I just pray they keep the worst there incheck. At least the scale of the fighting has died down. I have... seen things no one should have to see."
Shokudaikiri Shokudaikiri nods to Sokka's assurance. "I'm sure it will. The only question is how much flesh will we lose in the learning?" He smiles. A pause then, as a bleeping sound comes from his pocket. He blinks, pulling a smartphone from his pocket and swiping the screen. He pauses, seems to be reading something. Then his eyes go wide. Looking between Sokka and Maya, he says, "Sorry you two -- I've got to go." He heads quickly for the way he came in.
Sokka Sokka gave the guy a wave, then turned to her. "Oh? Yeah, I'd heard about the league. I thought about joining them for a bit, but seemed a bit too... any means necessary types to me. If there's one thing I've learned, its that there should be limits on how far you'll go for science. Otherwise people get hurt."
Maya Maya waves to the sword as he heads out. "Exactly, and yes there needs to be a limit on how far you have to go." She frowns and she thinks about the past a bit more. "Its good your world has someonelike you. I suspect your restraint will be needed as it advances."
Sokka Sokka blinked, then snickered. "ah, right. I am well known for my restraint. Completely restrained sokka, that's what they call me. Eeyup," he said with a smirk. "I should probably get back to my room, though. I've got a bit more polishing on my gift to finish up. I mostly came out to see what pretty girls I'd meet. And hey, I met at least one. So I'll see you around, okay?"
Maya Maya Says "save with puns and I'm going to go get something to eat I'm hungry and I'm in the mood for meat." Maya gives a bit of a grin as she gets up and stretches a bit "I'll see you around as well maybe i'll go explore your world a bit at some point."
