Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli was staring at the screen, eating popcorn. Or, rather, eating... butter. That had popcorn in it. She still preferred things that were mostly liquid. But popcorn was a 'must be ate with movies' thing. So her compromise? Douse it in so much liquid butter that it practically floated and needed a plastic bowl. Sure, she'd made a bunch of messes with it, but it's not like she cleaned it up most the time.

The only reason she wasn't dead was because she didn't actually digest the food. She just... had it. In her. And then had it leave her later. Humans with their strange digestios and stuff. She scooped up another handful of butter(with two or three pieces of soggy popcorn in it), and put it in her mouth.

She was staring intently at this weird movie. It was a valentines movie, it had to be. It had 'valentines' in the name. Also, it seemed to be british. After all, it had the word 'bloody' in the title. That was a british thing, right?

She just didn't understand. Was it tradition to slaughter each other on valentines day? She supposed it made sense, apparently st. valentines had met an awful end. But it still seemed kind of... gross to her. Fluids such of blood should remain INSIDE the body.
Pearl Pearl is in the kitchen, as usual. Currently she's cleaning up after Lapis's attempt to make popcorn. "How did you get butter on the bottom of the toaster oven!?" She calls out in annoyance.

A few moments later she emerges into the living room with the butter-soaked kitchen appliance in her hands, drawn by the screams coming from the TV. "What in the Stars are you watching!?" She stares dumbfounded at the TV for a while before continuing, "I don't recall Valentine's Day having so much blood. ...or pickaxes!?" Still, human customs never made much sense to her either.
Princess Luna      The light around the house gains a touch of nighttime colors for a few moments, then there is a firm knocking on the door to the Gems' house. "Lapis! Art thou home? I have brought traditional snacks for us to dine upon in celebration of the Hearts and Hooves festival! It is a few days late, but I as we were unable to celebrate the day in a timely manner...and the entire castle staff and much of Equestria art convinced that the two of us art a couple anyway...I thought it might be fun!"

It is none other than Princess Luna! Tall alicorn co-ruler of Equestria. And she has a large basket full of heart-shaped cookies and candies and tubes of sparkly sugar. She will have to react to the movie in her own time.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli glanced over. "What? Oh! But the butter is so good! It does belong in everything," she said happily, grinning to the girl. "But sometimes when it melts, it does make a mess." She then glanced back to the tv. "It doesn't? I saw this movie at the local store. It had a heart on the cover and the word valentine. I'm... not sure I quite grasp the subtltys, though. Valentines is for romance, is it not? How does stabbing one make things romantic?"

And then... "OH!" She jumped to her feet(spilling more butter), and glided to the door, swinging it open. She hugged the princess a moment later, getting... butter on her. Ew. She then dragged her back. "Come in, come in! Pearl! This is the Luna I have told you about! We are dating!" she said proudly. "We have even performed the cooking and picnics. Oh. And I have joined her on the guardings of the night." And let a poor timber wolf herd terrified of the color blue. She dragged luna to the seat. "Come, I am watching a traditional valentines movie! It had valentines in the name!" Then held out popcorn. Well, a bowl of butter with small pieces of popcorn floating in it. "I have even made popcorn, the traditional food for such things," she said proudly, giving the princess the biggest grin.

For the sake of Luna's doctor, it would probably be best NOT to touch that popcorn. Even breathing in the same room as it probably gave her more than a day's worth of calories.
Pearl     "I don't know what you're watching but I'm certain it's not a romance!" Pearl's eye twitches as more butter spills on the floor. She has to fight the urge to clean it up because they have a guest. She sets the toaster oven down on the table, wrapped in a towel so it doesn't ooze butter everywhere, and manages to get a smile on her face as she goes to greet Luna.

Fortunately she only stares at the tall humanoid alicorn for a moment before offering a hand, she's getting more used to the oddities of the Multiverse. "Welcome Luna! Lapis has told me that your almost as horrible as she is! I think it's wonderful that you've become friends!" She sounds completely sincere as she says this. "I'm Pearl, It's very nice to meet you. may I get you anything?"
Princess Luna      Luna is given a buttery hug! It leaves the princess slightly grossed out and giggling uneasily. "Ah...I..see." she says to Lapis as she returns the hug. She just has to ignore the butter for now, much to her doctor's chagrin. When Pearl appears Luna smiles to her and curtseys politely. "I am Princess Luna. It is nice to meet thee as well. And it is true that Lapis and I share many characteristics." When asked what Pearl might get her, Luna considers a moment. "Perhaps...a towel?" she asks with a bit of a giggle.

When she finally makes it in and sees what is on the TV, Luna gasps in horror. "Wha-?! Th-this cannot be a traditional Valentine's movie! Valentine's movies are supposed to be full of romance and drama about finding one's true love! Not...sl-slaying one's true love in a horrifically violent manner!" With a flick of her magic Luna sends the TV flying out of a window. "Begone, foul corruption of love's true beauty!!" After which she stands there panting like someone who has seen something terrifying, her basket of goodies fallen to the floor with a few of the cookies scattered about with messages such as 'Be my Special Somepony' and 'Mare-y me' and 'You're my Sugar Cookie'.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli cringed as the tv went out the window. Yeah, she'd done that as well, once. Oh dear. "i hope that will be easier to fix than last time. At least no demons ever came out," she mumbled. "Oh well! And yes, she is a horrible monster of destruction and wicked ness, like me! And we have both been greatly punished for our horrible deeds and have now decided to revel in our misery of suffering together!" she said far, far too chipper.

She then sat down and grabbed the basket, pulling it up and blinking. She cocked her head to the side. "I do not know if I can be a cookie, I've never tried it before. Oh, but you are quite special to me, Luna!"

Then... she stared at one. In particuler, the mare-y me pun. She picked it up and... "Oh dear. I did not know our relationship had come to the point of marriage. But, very well. I suppose as it is the human tradition, I shall accept."

... Poor luna might need some smelling salts after that one.
Pearl     Pearl slaps her face with her hand as the TV flies out the window. This is going to be one of those days isn't it?. "At least it's quieter in here now." She sighs.

"I'm sure you're exaggerating Lapis, but if being miserable together makes you happy then I'm happy for you. I'd just like to ask that you keep the damage to the house to a minimum." She eyes Luna as she speaks. It seems all is forgiven already however, as Pearl manages to find a clean, butter-free towel which she offers to Luna. Maybe while Lapis is distracted with the 'marriage proposal' She can sneak away with that bowl of butter and pour it down the drain?.
Princess Luna      Luna slowly relaxes again as both Lapis and Pearl take the destruction of their TV in stride. "Um...as I keep trying to explain to Lapis, my punishment was exacted and completed already. I was purified by the Elements of Harmony and thus cleansed of the corruption I allowed to take hold in my heart. However, she does seem quite happy to be punished, so I do not try to convince her that her punishment should be over by now." she says as she tries to dry as much butter from herself as she can.

Luna blinks in surprise at Lapis's reactions to the cookie messages, then giggles a bit. "They are not meant as literal proposals, Lapis. That is a pun..." she says when she points to the mare-y me cookie, then she points to the Sugar Cookie cookie. "..and that is merely a cute and humorous request. Sugar cookies are tasty and quite sought after. Asking someone to be my sugar cookie is much like saying 'I like you'." she says, then smiles. "It is mostly just a fun tradition. Please, enjoy them with me. And you may have some as well, Miss Pearl." she says, taking the basket over to the couch.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "Oh, yes! I am very happy! I do think most of my punishment is over, as well. I aided the union until its end," she said happily. Then paused. "That is what my punishment was, correct?" She then looked around and... "Where did my popcorn go?" she asked in confusion. She frowned, but then shrugged and tried a cookie. "Pearl, you should try some of the butter. It is quite good. Did you know, when it comes inside your body, it will eventually harden? Then if you drink boiling water, you can actually feel it as it melts again within. It tickles!" she said happily, giving the biggest grin.

Gems were weird.

She then nodded. "Ohhhhh. A pun! Yes! I very much like the puns! Such as... ummm... You! Are a... pony! Person! Your face is quite long and it makes you look sad, or, as a turn of phrase, would make it seem as if i was saying you looked sad!" she said oh so happily. Then... "Oh, and your voice is gravely, so I may call you a little hoarse, yes?" she asked, grinning triumphantly at her mastery of the puns.

On the up side, she DID nestle up besides luna and, when she wasn't talking and was instead just chewing a cookie, she was pretty cute. "Oh! Luna, I forgot! I wanted you to meet the Pupkin!" She whistled and... a moment later, a running pumpkin came in the room, started barking at Luna, before jumping into Lapis' lap. She gently pet it. "See? It is quite affectionate."
Pearl     "Oh! ah.. Thank you Luna but no. I'm.. I'm.. On a diet! Cookies and Popcorn aren't allowed." Pearl explains with mock sadness. Then Lapis has to make it worse with her explanation of what butter feels like when it's inside you. The Gem looks she's going to be sick, which would be a feat in itself!

She's about to slink off to the kitchen again when the Pumpkin comes bounding in. "Oh my Stars! How long has that been here!? is it even safe to keep it in the house!?"
Princess Luna      Luna looks slightly unsettled by Lapis's narrative, then can only stare as Lapis makes those 'puns' before letting out small forced laugh so Lapis won't feel too bad. At the end though Luna can't help but smile as Lapis nibbles a cookie. And then...a moving vegetable?! Luna almost leaps up when the Pupkin comes bounding in, then lets out an 'eep!' as it hops up onto Lapis's lap. "Th-thou hast intelligent vegetables here?!" she exclaims in disbelief, then giggles and reaches to try petting the pup.

Pearl's reply to the offer of cookies draws a skeptical eyebrow raise from Luna. "...oh yes. I can tell by thy figure that thou hast quite the problem with high caloric intake." she says in an obvious sarcastic tone. There is a playful smirk on her face as she says that.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nibbled gently on her cookie, then fed it to the pupkin as she pet it on the head. "Who's a good boy? You are the good boy. Yes, you are. Yes, you are." It was a little stilted, as if she was reading it off a script, rather than actually coming up with it. Ah, pet shows. She then blinked a few times. "What's a diet? What's a calories?" she asked.

Then... "Oh, yes! I see! Calories are the cleaning, yes? Pearl does have a high intake of cleaning, every day! I believe her and Amethyst have devised the most interesting of systems! Amethyst breaks whatever she desires, and Pearl then cleans it! It is quite a sight to behold!"
Pearl     "It has nothing to do with my figure, our bodies are just conscious projections of light." Pearl says as if that should explain everything. She moves over to the couch to scratch the Pupkin behind the.. stem? "I wouldn't call it intelligent, just very excitable, and kind of cute too." She admits with a smirk. "It's not our system Lapis, it just happens a lot! Far too often if you ask me!"
Princess Luna      Luna giggles and gives Lapis a hug around the shoulders as Lapis pets the pupkin. And Pearl also missed Luna's real meaning. She sighs softly at Pearl's response before smiling. "That is my point. Thou dost not need food for nourishment, so having a cookie will do thee no harm." she says. But, she doesn't try to force Pearl into enjoying cookie goodness. Instead she gives Lapis a little squeeze. "No no. A calorie is a measure of the energy contained within a food item. For typical organic beings such as myself, we must moderate our intake to match our daily activities or we risk becoming overweight and unhealthy."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "are you sure? I think Amethyst seems to enjoy the system. It is amusing to watch! Sometimes I will even knock things over just to see how quickly Pearl jumps at it to clean!" IT WAS ON PURPOSE! THAT BLUE HAIRED LITTLE ROCK!

She nodded. "Truly? Organics have such strange systems. How do you know if you've gathered the right amount of energy?" Then looked lapis up and down. And her eyes lit up. "I see! Is that why you have these?" And then grabbed Luna somewhere where she SHOULD NOT BE GRABBING WITHOUT PERMISSION! "I often wondered why organics had bags like this. Is it to store excess calories?" LAPIS NO!
Pearl      "Amethyst enjoys it because she knows I don't" Pearl explains darkly. Having almost no experience with Human(esque) taboos herself, Pearl completely misses what Lapis just did wrong. "Those are for nursing their young Lapis. So in a way I suppose they do store extra calories. Although I never uinderstood the need for them to just hang there all the time." Pearl muses, "It would be far more efficient if they deflated when not in use."
Princess Luna      Even with that dark blue, Luna turns bright red when Lapis grabs her. Her wings pop up suddenly in surprise and her tail springs out straight like a cat that has been startled. "L-lapis!" Luna is so startled that it takes her a moment to fully register what has happened. When she does she flails rather cutely before batting Lapis's hands away. Luna is so flustered after that that she has to take a few moments to collect herself. She coughs in embarrassment and rubs her hands down her dress to try and straighten it out, then brushes a hand through her ethereal mane, then quickly devours a cookie.

Luna swallows with a bit of difficulty after putting an entire cookie in her mouth at once, then takes a few deep breaths. And Pearl's rather Twilight-like explanation of their purpose just makes Luna blush all over again. "It is hardly our fault that biological processes are rarely as efficient as hardlight projections or robotic creations!" Luna exclaims, exasperated and probably sounding a bit upset.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked a few times. Wait, Luna was upset? Was what they said upsetting to her?

Then her words tore through. Lapis gasped, realizing... "No!" And then hugged Luna. And laid her head on Luna's chest. Not realizing this PROBABLY DIDN'T HELP! "It is fine, Luna. Your calorie bags are quite nice and satisfactory. And they are soft, like a pillow! I very much do enjoy having them and am not disheartened at all that you cannot deflate them. Your strange, alien anatomy is one of the many fascinating things about you that makes you so much fun! And it is good that you have them! Gems do not have such a way to store such things, so if we are ever to have young, will you be much needed to sustain them if they require sustenance!" ... Not. Helping. At. All.
Pearl     Pearl knows *something's* wrong, she's just not sure what. "I wish Steven or Amethyst were here, they understand this sort of thing so much better than we do." She paces back and forth in front of the couch, trying to find a way to make Luna more comfortable, "I'm sorry Luna, Lapis and I aren't very good with human.. or Equestrian, customs." She glances nervously at Lapis, "I.. I think the mammary glands are an area they consider private. You're not supposed to touch them without permission?"
Princess Luna      Perhaps confusing to Lapis and Pearl, Lapis laying her head against Luna's chest is met with much less of a reaction. Luna sighs softly and gently cradles Lapis against her. "They do not store calories. If I did have much excess calories, they would gather around my hips, flanks, and perhaps belly." All the praise of her features, despite the intimate nature of those features, makes Luna smile despite her blush. Until that comment about them having young. Luna's eyes go wide a few moments, then she blinks a few times before just letting that one go for now.

Pearl's apology and Lapis's sincerity calm Luna down well enough and she ends up giggling a bit. "Thou art correct, Miss Pearl. Although it is acceptable for a special somepony to touch such things, that is usually reserved for a time much farther into a romantic relationship." She gives Lapis a firm hug and cradle's Lapis's head against her chest. "Now please, let us forget about that. I was not insulted, merely quite surprised. All is forgiven, my little Lapis."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded and cocked her head to the side. "True. They are more aware of human things." Pause. "Maybe if I hadn't been locked in storage for six thousand years and my mirror had been left outside once in a while, I would know of more of them." Yeah, Pearl. You should leave your toys outside! She then proceeded to poke her hips, flanks and belly. "Well, they are a little soft, I suppose. But I think that is good. You organics are nice when you are soft! It makes it easier to lay on you!"

"Ruff!" Pupkin agrees.

Poor, poor luna. "But, yes! you said this was a.... hearts and hooves day? It is like the valentines day, correct? I have seen many of the decorations. Many people have been both very happy, and very sad. It is strange." She paused. "And many humans have offered to buy me dinner. But I merely assured them I prefered more liquid diets. Like butter! They thought that was strange." She cradled her Pupkin, who finally managed to break free of her arms, run up on her back, and lick poor luna on her face.
Pearl     Pearl breaths a sigh of relief when Luna calms down, "Alright then, I think I'm going to leave you two alone for a bit.. the Kitchen's a mess and the TV is probably full of sand." She sighs, "I have my work cut out for me!"
Princess Luna      Luna giggles a bit and blushes just a bit when she is told she is pleasantly soft. She then nods at the question. "Yes. Hearts and Hooves Day is the Equestrian equivalent of this Saint Valentine's Day. Ponies exchange tokens such as these cookies or small notes or gifts to show their affection towards each other. Either in the hope that they can establish new relationships or strengthen existing ones. Although the day was started as a way to develop romantic relationships, often friends will exchange such tokens as well to show their love for each other."

Luna looks over at Pearl as the pale gem excuses herself. "It was nice to meet thee, Lady Pearl. If thou wouldst like assistance in thy cleaning and repair efforts, please lets us know. And I shall replace thy television tomorrow."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded, and then... "Strengthen... bonds..." Then... She picked up her Pupkin, and gave it a little scoot. It took a few times for it to get the hint and run off. She then stood up, and took her hand. "I... will... admit I do not understand all that there is to be in this... relationship. Thing. Or dating. Any of it. And so much of it confuses me. But I try! And... and I want to... have it strengthened with you. So... this is our Gems create our bonds." She pulled Luna to the front area, where it was clear.

After a moment, she gently placed her hands on hers, one on her back, one on her hand and... started to dance. Her head resting on her shoulder.
Princess Luna      Luna blinks a bit when Lapis stands, and the princess is guided easily enough onto the dance floor. Luna may be out of practice or inexperienced in many things, but dancing is something she has been practicing since she was a filly. It is expected of any princess that she be a good dancer. She clasps Lapis's hand and places her free hand on Lapis's shoulder before smiling as they start to dance. And as they dance, Luna's horn glows softly and a gentle melody starts wafting through the air. Or seems to at least. It is really an illusion, but it does the job of giving them something to dance to rather than just the sounds of Pearl cleaning. "Dancing is a rather effective way to improve bonds, in my experience." she says, her ethereal mane and tail adding another level of elegance and beauty to the dance.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "Indeed. It is how we fuse. Synchronizing our movements. Like a new form of talking. Telling each other what we are doing, how we are doing it. Who and what we are," she whispered, each movement slow and gentle, moving carefully, precisely, her hand on the girl's hip and gently swaying.

She was an excellent dancer as well. In fact, her body was almost made of it. She was slow and soft with her movements, not taking too much control, but just enough to guide the other girl forward. Her own wings of water formed as well, gently sparkling in the light like jewels, swirling to mix with her etheral mane as they danced.

Maybe there were some pros to dating an alien.
Princess Luna      As they dance, Luna does get more of a feel for Lapis. She smiles as her mane and Lapis's wings start to blend a bit when they spin. The sparkle of Lapis's wings joins the starlight twinkling of Luna's mane and tail, surrounding the two in a shower of beautiful colors and twinkling. Luna seems content to follow for now, just getting used to how Lapis prefers to move. Their styles are likely similar. Luna is trained in ballroom dance. Elegant, flowing, extravagant movements that make great use of the billowing of her dress, mane, and tail.

Yes, there are definite pros to dating an alien.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli would let the other girl take the lead, gradually, if she wanted. She eventually closed her eyes as well, letting droplets of water swirl in the air around them, twinkling like the beautiful stars that radiated from the other woman's mane.

She held on for a long moment and... "I don't..." She said, before frowning. "There are... a lot of things I don't like. I... pretend to like them. But i... mostly don't. I don't understand them and I don't like them. Like... why water can't touch some things that are electric. Or why Pearl gets so annoyed when she obviously enjoys throwing her fits. Or why humans insist on making so much noise all the time. But... I... don't understand you. So often. But i never pretend to like you. I... always do. Like you."
Princess Luna      Princess Luna's ears perk when Lapis starts speaking. She listens with a soft smile as they continue dancing. "Thank you." is all Luna can manage to say at the end of it. "I always enjoy thy company as well, even when thy unusual antics and thy lack of understanding overshadow even my own. And there are always things that each of us do not like, and things we must tolerate even if we do not like them or understand them. As for the noise...I am not sure myself why humans and Equestrians and other such creatures make so much noise. Some things we can learn to understand and appreciate. Others we must simply accept."

Luna takes the lead in their dance and gives Lapis a little twirl before smiling more. "And there may even be things we do not like about each other at some point. But, friends and special someponies learn to deal with those things if they truly love each other."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded, listening intently as they danced. She was spun and smoothly swirled, before falling back into her arms and even letting the other girl dip her. She nodded. "I... already know of some things I dislike about you. You are too kind, at times. Those timber wolves attacked you. I still believe you should have let me destroy them." What? They were timber wolves. She was an alicorn. It was hardly a fair fight. But gems tended to be a very 'yes or no' species, not as much room for wiggle room. Until gosh darn Steven and Greg. Seriously, screw those guys. Making everything so complex and making things like, consequences to actions make sense.
Princess Luna      Luna can't help but smirk at that as she holds Lapis in that dip for a few moments. "Perhaps it would help thee to think about them like the chickens in that strange block world game. They were not truly dangerous to us. They would be dangerous to a typical pony, but we were not in danger nor was anypony else. And they have as much right to exist as any other creature. If we destroy every creature with which we do not get along, soon...we will be alone." she says, running a hand through Lapis's hair. "If your rulers had their way, you and I would never have met at all, for I would have been destroyed."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked a few times and, for the first time, actually missed a step. Well, THAT seemed to have gotten through. "You... would have been destroyed?" she whispered softly, as if she was in shock. She stared up at the other woman and, when she was brought up, she actually stopped, staring into her eyes, holding the other woman.

"I... would... not have liked that. I... I will refrain from... from harming such... creatures in the future," she said, sounding quite sincere and actually understanding this time. It seemed the idea of Luna being hurt or, worse, having never met her... shook Lapis to her core. She didn't know why. It felt eerily similar to how she felt at the thought of losing Steven. Not the same, though.

And she stared into the other girl's eyes. And just stared. And then let her go? No, instead, both hands went up around her throat and... she pressed her lips to the other girl's. In her, possibly first called for, kiss.
Princess Luna      Luna is surprised when Lapis misses a step. Their dance stops but Luna doesn't release Lapis. And as Lapis stares into her eyes, Luna just gazes back. Luna blinks when Lapis's hands come up, then her eyes widen as she is pulled into a kiss. A real kiss. Which makes it very clear to Luna just how Lapis is treating this relationship and causes the princess of the night to blush almost as brightly as the earlier incident. Caught completely off guard on a few different levels, Luna freezes up and her beautiful teal eyes remain wide open. Someone is kissing her for real? Someone...wanted to kiss her? Someone...thinks about her that way?

Luna's mind is a jumble of confused feelings and guarded hopes that risk breaking through the walls she constructed to shield herself from her own optimism. After several long moments Luna regains her senses and gently breaks the kiss. "...Lapis, I..." Luna gazes uncertainly at the gem. She hasn't done anything like this in a millenia.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli pulled back after a bit and stared at her. There was a hint of blue to her cheeks. She cleared her throat. "I... am sorry. I do not always understand how you... ponies do things. How you feel about things." Oh. So it was a kiss her not understanding it. "Gems don't kiss. But your species does, i think. I believe it is to show... how dear someone is to them. In this case. Not as a friend. But as... soemthing else. Something I don't quite understand. But something I... I do like. I like... very much. You. I like," she said softly.

"... I am sorry, allow me to make this more clear. As my people would say." She laid her head into her chest. "I would like to fuse with you. I... do not like it when you are not near."
Princess Luna      Luna blinks when Lapis apologizes, then smiles warmly. "There is no need to be sorry. I just...was not prepared for such a gesture." she says, then tears form in her eyes as Lapis stumbles over her words. Luna can't quite form words either for a few moments after Lapis finishes speaking. She just holds Lapis close and nuzzles into the gem's hair. "Are gems able to fuse with non-gems?" she asks, apparently at least willing to entertain the idea. "I believe I heard thee say at some point that fusing with non-gems was a talent only Steven possessed. But, I am unlike most organic beings. If gems fuse in order to gain a better sense of closeness...then I would be happy to try."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli hugged her a little tighter. and then her wings moved to envelop the other girl, holding her close. "No. I... do not believe so. I have never seen any but steven do it. I have never even seen Steven do it with a... non-gem. Aside from Connie. I do not have such talents."

She then smiled up at her. "But... I did not mean that in... a I wanted to fuse with you sense. I mean it to show how... dear you are to me. How I feel for you. You are... wonderful. And... you make me happy. You are... like Steven. When I am near you, I do not feel fear and worry, like I do with others."
Princess Luna      Princess Luna returns the gesture, wrapping her own wings around Lapis and squeezing firmly. "I believe I understood thy intention, dear Lapis." she says with a smile, her eyes still a bit misty. "I suppose this means we are actually special someponies. I shall be thy special somepony, and thou shalt be mine." she says, then raises a hand to cup Lapis's chin and slowly moves in to give Lapis a kiss in return.

Luna holds it for a few seconds before she breaks it and smiles. "I...was uncertain anyone would ever feel such a way about me. And to find such a kindred spirit in thee...it is more than I had ever dreamed." She brushes her hand through Lapis's hair again. "When thou art near me...I know that I am safe from all harm." she says, then giggles a bit. "Though I do worry sometimes for those around me." she says, her tone playful and teasing.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "Of course. That is what you call it, right?" she asked with a smile. Then she takes the kiss, smiling up at her. She didn't understand HALF of what this stuff was. And, frankly, she still didn't. But she liked Luna. And luna liked her. In the end, wasn't that all that really mattered? All they needed? The other stuff could be figured out as they go.

She blinked a few times. "Feel such a... I'm the only one who feels that way for you? What about those ponies who charged into the room when I was there? Did they not feel for you?" she asked in confusion. She then chuckled. "Oh. They are safe so long as they mean you no harm. If they did, I would destroy them. If... if they were capable of harming you."
Princess Luna      Luna giggles again and shakes her head lightly. "They are guards. They do care about me, but it is more in the way a protector cares about his or her charge. They do not miss me if I am gone, nor do they concern themselves with my happiness beyond what is required in their duties." she says, then wipes at her eyes. "I have many friends of course, and many of them would come to my aid at a moment's notice and try to make me happy were I sad. But, thou hast declared that thy connection with me is deeper than even friendship. If that is true, then yes, thou art the only being who feels like that about me other than perhaps my sister. But, that is another sort of relationship entirely. Family is one of the deepest bonds to exist."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli looks so confused. ".... So many... relationships. I... I don't know how they all work," she muttered. "I..." Then hummed. "... I... feel close to how I feel with Steven. I think. You're... special. To me. But... it's different."

She frowned again and tried to imagine how it felt. How was it? "Like... Pearl and Rose. I think. But... better. You're not like them. You've never,... hurt me. I've never hated you. I've never wanted to destroy you. Or depend on you. Or reveled in your misery." ... What? Lapis has her dark moments. A lot. "i... think... it's special. To me. You're special to me."
Princess Luna      Princess Luna smiles sympathetically as she sees Lapis's expression. "I learn new things about friendship quite often, either through experience or through Princess Twilight. But, the good thing about sharing thy life with someone who is special to thee is that thou art able to figure out the mysteries of relationships together. To talk with each other about what is confusing thee. To share in both the joys and the sorrows of the other's life."

Luna hugs Lapis again and giggles a bit at that second part. "I am quite happy to hear thou hast never wished me ill. Thou art special to me as well. And I suppose we can only figure out what sort of relationship we are meant to have by exploring it."

"We will sit inside and watch old, silly movies! Hopefully ones without as many fluids flying about." She paused. "I cannot understand why, though. Fluids such as those are supposed to remain inside the body. Why have such a fascination with making them external?" she asked, before...

"Oh, right. We shall go and use Greg's TV!" Hauling her outside.
