Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli was lounging on top of an ice flow. Which was odd because it wasn't THAT cold, yet she was lounging on top of it none the less. The little gem was on her stomach, arms drifting into the water, her little ice chair almost entirely melted to the point she would likely be floundering and flailing into the water soon.

Despite the fact she looked asleep, she was not. In fact, she was TRYING to sleep. Or rather, imitate sleep. But sleeping here was... not easy. Luna was busy and she did not know, or trust, the ponies enough. She saw their beady eyes, their colorful coats and, worst of all.

Their mirrors. So. Many. Mirrors. Mirrors COULD NOT be trusted. They bound up Luna in a mirror(who was the most awesome person in this world thank you very much), so she still didn't have the most faith in them.

But hey, it wasn't like she destroyed them or tried to imprison them in ice or anything anymore.
Natasha Of course Natasha doesn't exactly mix well with ice and water, she tends to avoid large amounts of it or simply fly over it. Still when it looks like someone passed out on an ice floe, her heroine complex tends to kick in. This leads to it's own set of problems since the close she gets to the ice, the faster it melts. The fact that fire is jetting out of her feet as well doesn't help either.

"Hold still, I'll rescue you!" She would have to do this quickly since she couldn't stay near the ice too long without melting it or ending up in the water. She quickly swoops in and attempts to grab Lapis not aware the other girl was awake.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked and then her head shot up. What in the--

THAT FIERY THING WAS DIVING AT HER! She shrieked and lifted her hands! Obviously it was an attack! Unfortunately for Natasha, she'd realize a moment later that the girl on the ice flow was a hydromancer. Who, in her panic, just threw the -whole lake- at her. The good news was, it flew in all directions so she didn't get a concentrated assault of it. The bad news was it was still an entire lake and it probably took out a few trees amongst other things as it flashed out. And left Lapis on her little ice flow, on a now heavily drained lake bed, looking around in a panic before forming wings and flying up and--

ACK! That was a person! She yelped and flew at them. "Are you okay I'm so sorry I thought you were a monster are you okay oh no no are you a pony don't be a pony are you okay?!!"
Natasha Well, Natasha looks human normally but the truth is much more complicated. Thankfully she sees the water coming and is able to dodge the worst of it but getting hit by a lake is not a good thing for a fire elemental. "Ouch!" The girl smolders red as she gets soaking wet. Thankfully, it takes extended exposure to water to kill Natasha but the impact makes her go crashing into the empty lake bed. She twitches a bit, "I've felt better..."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli landed down by the girl. Water rained down around them. However, as the water began to slowly flood back towards the lake(albeit far slower), and before it could start drenching the poor girl... instead a bubble of water formed around her. As if the water just went around it or flowed around, even the droplets above dripped down and failed to touch her. Lapis knelt down besides the girl and reached out to poke her. "Are you okay?"

Lapis was a gem, though. Their bodies were used to both the extreme temperatures of space as well as other harsh conditions. So as long as the girl wasn't much above the temperature of boiling water, Lapis wouldn't seem to notice if the girl was extremely hot.
Natasha Natasha's pretty hot right now, certainly above the temperature of boiling water but she's getting cooler, "Ouch, next time I should ask first but I wasn't sure if you were awake." She's certainly the act now ask questions later type. "Well, it's nice to know you're not in danger." Thankfully for Lapis, Natasha's in too much pain to be that upset at her. "I'm guessing your some kind of water mage right?"
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli shook her head. "Oh, no. Not at all. I am a gem. Lapis Lazuli. Are you not of this world either?" She pulled her hand back, shaking it. Actually, past the point of boiling water did hurt a little bit. But yay being a gem! "I apologize for hurting you. You... startled me. I... I believed you meant to hurt me..." she said sheepishly.

"Are you a friend of Luna's?"
Natasha "A gem? You don't look like you're made out of rock." Then again Natasha's kind out of it at the moment, "Lapis Lazuli...that's a pretty name. I'm Natasha, yeah it's nothing fancy." Then again, Natasha's not nobility or anything. "I'm not from around here either, but turning into a unicorn can be fun. I know a Luna, I'm not sure it's the same one. It's okay, someone coming at you on fire can be kind of surprising." Most people aren't on fire after all.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli giggled softly. "Oh, but I am. This body you see before you is merely a hard light projection of my real body," she said with a nod before holding out her hand.

"Oh, then you do know of the Luna?" she said with a big grin. "Luna is the great and horrible ruler of this land! We are both horrible wicked creatures who have been punished for our transgressions most harshly!" she said... far too happily. "Are you a horrible person as well, desiring redemption for the awful things you have done? Have you stolen..." she paused. "A... planet's... fire?" she asked, cocking her head to the side.
Natasha "Oh so you're like a hologram! That's neat, but I think a hologram getting wet would cause problems...so not really..." Natasha's comparison kind of falls apart. "Punished?" She knows some ponies tend to get uneasy when the subject of Princess Luna comes up but she doesn't really know all the details.

"You're horribly wicked person...like a villain?" Natasha starts to recover a bit as she pries herself off the lake bed and into a sitting position. "You don't seem evil, I mean an evil person wouldn't care that they hurt me. "They would be gloating, Mwahaha, I'm unstoppable now!" Natasha raises her voice as she does her best villianess voice. "Yes, I've done some awful things myself, but I can't remember fully what happened to me." Her voice suddenly takes a serious tone as she says that.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded, then blinked. "Oh, yes. I was a horrible, horrible person. I stole the ocean from Ste ven's home and then broke his dad's leg. I also tried to destroy his friends. But they were my captors, so maybe that wasn't evil..." She seemed thoughtful for a moment. Then shook her head.

"But that is in the past! I was a horrible, horrible monster! But now I am a good person! I have made up for my mistakes! Rose has sufficiently punished me and now I no longer require the need to feel bad for the things I have done!" she said proudly, before sitting by her.

"What are you, then? Are you a type of pony? Or something else?"
Natasha "You stole the ocean, like an entire ocean. That is pretty bad...well it wouldn't be for me but most people need water to live!" Okay, maybe Natasha's having second thoughts about Lapis. "Why would you steal an entire ocean though? Is there a water shortage where you live, I mean how can you justify something like that!"

Natasha's eyes fire up at that, "Well, at least you're willing to admit you did something wrong and you're trying to make things right. It's not that simple, I would feel bad for the rest of my life if I stole an ocean...though I can't really do something like that. Stealing the heat from a planet like you said earlier then. It's not something you can fully make up. I mean I'm sure a lot of people and animals died when that happened right? I'm not a pony, I'm a human who was turned into a fire elmental, it's complicated..."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked a few times. "W-well, I-I gave it back..." she said sheepishly, poking her fingers together. "I-I was hurt and... and I needed it to go home but it didn't work..."

She blinked. "I... don't believe so. Steven and the others said there was a lot of damage, but no one died. I didn't steal it for very long." She then glanced up. "I suppose that means I more... borrowed the ocean? Is that a thing? I borrowed their ocean."

She looked worried now. "But... but the others had forgiven me. Is it truly such a bad thing? Have I not been punished enough? Do I need to be disciplined more?" she asked, suddenly looking frightened. "O-oh no. What if I haven't been? I-I do not wish to play more of the games! They are such difficulty and impossible! And there are nine planets! NINE! Each more fiendish than the last!"
Natasha "Calm down a moment I'm not going to hurt you!" It's pretty bad when Natasha has to be the levelheaded one. "Well, I'm glad to hear no one died which is pretty amazing." Maybe physics work different where Lapis is from.

"And you realize what you did was wrong. It sounds like you have pretty kind friends if they were willing to forgive you after all that." She knows most people wouldn't let someone off so easily. "Did someone force you to do this, Lapis?" It sounds like she hadn't really done all of this willingly. "Because if someone did, I'm going to have to teach them a thing or two." Natasha makes a punching gesture into her other palm as she says that. Her hot blood is starting to get fired up again.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli shakes her head. "No. I just... I wished to return home. I... I had been locked away in that mirror for thousands and thousands of years. I wanted to be home with my own kind and I... I was hurt. I could not fly there at the time. Until Steven... healed me. And allowed me my freedom. Then I gave the ocean back."

She paused. "Apparently giving it all back at once was not the best way to perform such a gesture."
Natasha "You were trapped in a mirror for thousands of years...I'm so sorry, I mean I know kind of what that's like but thankfully it was only for a few." Natasha can't imagine what it would like be for thousands of years. "So were you going to make a comet or something out of all the water and fly back?" It make as much sense as Natasha as anything else. "I mean riding on a comet would be kind of neat." She can't help but to admit.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli shook her head. "Oh, no. I was going to spread the water out and use it to bring me to my home. Sadly, I couldn't even get to the moon, let alone back to gemworld," she mumbled, crossing her arms. "There wasn't enough water... I tried so hard, but it just wasn't enough..." she looked so sad, giving a little sniffle. "Then Steven came and helped me get home. Steven is the most amazing person! He is kind and forgiving and nice and strong and wonderful!"
Natasha "Then again, I guess the objects floating in space might be a problem. I mean getting hit by flying space debris would hurt even if I could likely melt it. I guess you could have put yourself in the center of the comet and use it as a shield." Natasha's putting way too much thought into this. "I'm guessing the debris is why you couldn't just leave orbit and drift back right? This Steven does sound really nice. So what are you trying to do now that you got back home?" Natasha can't but to be curious about that.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked and then... "I... can never go back. When i went back, they took me prisoner and calimed I was a crystal gem. They... they tried to make me help them destroy Steven. They tried to..." She trails off and hugs her knees to her chest, burying her head in her legs.

"I've done so many horrible, horrible, awful things... horrible things... I attacked you... I almost killed you..."
Natasha Natasha puts a hand on Lapis's shoulder, "I can't really go back to my world either. I had to go back to rescue my best friend and it resulted in more trouble. It's okay though, there are a lot of nice people in the Multiverse who've helped me. Don't worry about that, I've survive much worse, I nearly burned to death after all." Natasha smiles as she tries to cheer up Lapis,
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded, glancing up at the girl. "I... I am still sorry. I did not know you were not dangerous. I believed that you meant me ill will. I... cannot stand such things. It is... frightening. To me. To have someone attempt to harm me," she mumbles with a weak smile.

"But... but I should learn self control. Luna has made that clear. Especially after the timber wolf incident."
Natasha Natasha nods in agreement with that, "Yes, self control can be important. Especially when you're made out of fire." She has it under control for the most part but still has flare ups once in a while. "I do my best not to burn anyone who doesn't deserve it."
Princess Luna      An entire lake moving is sure to draw some attention, and as Lapis and Natasha talk the glow from the moon overhead increases as a winged figure starts descending toward the pair. With the moon silhouetting her and her scythe in her hands, the figure projects a mixture of awe and danger.

When the figure lands, it is non other than Princess Luna! The tall alicorn blinks at who she sees before she rolls her eyes lightly and smirks a bit. "Lapis Lazuli. I should have know the sudden movement of an entire body of water was thy doing. Please, tell me that no one was harmed by thy actions." she says before looking at Natasha. "Dost thou require any assistance? I realize that Lapis's...surprise can be a bit...um...powerful sometimes."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded slowly. "Y-yes. Self control is very important. i... I guess you are like a ruby, then? You hold great power over heat and fire?" she asked. Then she looked up. Who was that--

Her eyes went wide and she readed to throw the lake(or what had returned of it), again. Then realized who it was!

And was promptly scolded. She urked and lowered her gaze. "I... I did apologize. It was an accident. She frightened me..."
Natasha Natasha's still smouldering a bit from getting by a lake of water. "I'm still kind of sore but nothing major. I've burned most of the water off..." Hearing the other voice she turns her head to see Princess Luna. "I thought she was in trouble, she was passed out on an ice floe!" She does her best to explain what happened. This was a different Luna then the one Natasha was familar with.
Princess Luna      Princess Luna doesn't seem all that upset, really. She actually seems more amused than anything. "Well, Lapis does have some unusual habits." Luna says, smiling to Lapis in the process. Luna holds up her scythe in one hand, and it disappears in a shimmer as if it were just an illusion. She then moves to give Lapis a hug. "Thank thee for attempting to save my little gem, even though she was in no danger." Luna says to Natasha before she turns to face Natasha. She gives a polite curtsey and smiles. "Greetings. I am Princess Luna of Equestria. And I am relieved to know that no harm came to thee. If thou dost need a place to recuperate, I can transport thee to Canterlot and arrange for thee to stay in one of the castle rooms."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli kept poking her fingers together, shuffling about in place and looking pretty sad for herself. Awww, she'd screwed up. But then she got a hug! Yay! She hugged the princess right back and gave a big grin.

"She thought I was in danger! On the water! Hee hee. How silly!" She then glanced to the other girl. "She seems quite strange. Made of fire and the like! But she says she is not a terrible person like us."

... Yeah. Just... just throw that out to the princess.
Natasha "I don't think you're a terrible person, Lapis!" Natasha blurts out. She seemed somewhat misguided but not evil. "I mean you feel bad about what you did, a terrible person wouldn't feel that way. Thanks, Princess Luna. This is somewhat different than the other Equestria she's been to. Well sure, if the room is fire-resistant I'm still kind of burning." She's still somewhat warmer than normal since she's recovering.
Princess Luna      Luna giggles as well when Lapis says how silly Natasha's worry was. "Well, upon first glance one might not realize that thy powers are water-based." Luna says to Lapis, then looks at Natasha again. Luna's expression deadpans when Lapis calls them terrible. "Lapis...we are not terrible people anymore. We may have once been terrible people, but that is no longer true." she says.

Luna then smiles to Natasha. "The castle is made of stone, so I am sure we can make accomidations for thee if thy dost wish to stay. Although...I am not sure we could find thee any fire-resistant furniture on such short notice."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli blinked a little. Awwww, they both said she wasn't a terrible person! She then blinked. "But I am a Lapis Lazuli. All Lapis Lazuli have water based powers." Sure, her powers may have been strong for a Lapis, but still. She then nodded. "Right. We are no longer.

She then glanced to the girl. "I could make you furniture of ice! They would avoid melting!" she said proudly. Oh yes, give the poor girl frost burn. THAT'LL help.
Natasha "There's more than one Lapis Lazuli? Doesn't that get confusing? Then again there's more than one person with the name Natasha..." She realizes she doesn't have any room to talk. "Wouldn't furniture made of ice melt really fast, unless it's some kind of enchanted ice that doesn't melt. Well, everyone makes mistakes you shouldn't hold against someone forever."
Princess Luna      "Lapis dear, those who are not familiar with gems do not realize that gems of the same type have powers of the same type." she says. She also nods to Natasha. "Yes, ice furniture would typically melt quite quickly, but Lapis is able to make ice last much longer than is typical." she says, then hmms. "However, someone made of fire may not appreciate the cold of ice furniture." she adds. Then nods in agreement with Natasha. "Holding the past against someone could lead to them repeating the mistakes of their past. I am quite grateful each day that the ponies of Equestria have put my transgressions behind them."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded. "Oh, yes, there are other Lapis Lazuli. We are, ummm..." What is the proper term... "I believe humans would call it... decorations," she finally said with a grin. "Though I'm not sure that transfers over correctly. And yes, I am very thankful that my mistakes have not been held against me. Rose has even punished me now, so I may no longer fret about them!" she said proudly. As if she totally didn't fret about them all the time.
Natasha "Decorations? You mean they can't move at all?" Natasha sounds a bit outraged as she says that. She did say she was made of hard light, were the other Lapis Lazulis inactive? "The cold itself doesn't bother me, it's more getting wet from melting ice that's the problem." She explains to them.
Princess Luna      Luna blinks at that possibility. "Oh dear. Dost thou think the other Lapis are also imprisoned in things like mirror handles?" Luna asks Lapis. Luna then nods at Natasha. "Well, I am sure we can solve the issue somehow. Perhaps Twilight Sparkle knows a fire resistance spell we could use on a bed." she says.
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli shook her head. "Oh, no. We are allowed to roam. Hum. How to put it... we... look nice and can display memories. So we are often used for such tasks. We are not warriors or good for anything else." She paused and held up her hands. Water flowed and formed a mirror of ice and in the mirror, reflected... Luna. Playing video games. While munching on chips. "See? I can display things I have seen. All Lapis can do this." IT WAS NOT A FLATTERING IMAGE!
Natasha "Oh, so they're like storage. Being able to control water and ice is pretty useful for fighting, but I can understand if you don't want to do that." Natasha rather not hurt people herself but she knows someone has to defend those who can't defend themselves.
Princess Luna      Luna blinks as that image is conjured in the water, then blushes a bit. "Ah! Hahaha! Th-that is an amazing talent, Lapis!" she says a bit more loudly than necessary. She steps closer to the ice mirror as if to look at it, then turns with her wings spread so the image is hidden. "Yes, not wishing to harm anyone is a noble goal." Luna says with a smile. "But, if things are fine now we should return to Canterlot Castle. It is unwise to roam around at night needlessly."
Lapis Lazuli Lapis Lazuli nodded, before the mirror crumbled to ice, a big grin on her face. "Oh! Then yes, let us leave!" Wings formed on ehr back. Then her eyes glimmered. "Oh! And perhaps I can cook for you! I am getting quite good at making the pancakes! And I intend to learn how to make soup next! Steven says it is something I will likely very much enjoy, and I believe him! As he is so wise!"
Natasha "Sounds good to me!" Natasha doesn't need to eat, but it felt kind of strange not to. She gets back onto her feet slowly as she's still somewhat out of it from getting soaked. Still, she should be able to make it back to the castle as she let's Luna lead the way.
