Scene #5183: Chance Meeting in NYC

Buggabix	It was a cool night in New York City, and in the Bronx one had to be careful or else they might wind up picking a fight with the local gang, or perhaps something far worse. Tonight a wanderer from another world was walking through the streets and alleys, a rather peculiar one at that. Standing around 4'5", the creature wore a leather gas mask over most of its face, save for the ears sticking out. Said ears had a chipped look to them, as if they'd been in a few scraps. Its entire body was covered in a leather suit, with knee pauldrons and a belt. Unlike most suits of its kind, this one's was black leather and had obvious repair patches sewn into it. It lugged a large rucksack across its back, with plenty of equipment for travelling. The creature breathed rhythmically through its mask, occasionally pausing to sniff at the air, as if searching for something...or just trouble.
Rebound	You know New York, at least at night, has it's own unique nightlife. By nightlife, that is, it's a criminal underworld. And the explosion at a bank near downtown is a great example of that sort of nightlife. The door blasted open and the crooks ran inside, there were no patrons, but they were going straight for the vault. Little did they know the explosion drew the attention of somebody else, as Rebound arrived on a roof across the way, looking down at the two guys standing guard outside while the others went inside to raid the vault.
Buggabix	The explosion certainly grabs the attention of the creature, the fire illuminated in the lenses of its gas mask. Deciding to investigate, it runs for the scene of the crime. Upon finding the bank and the two guards, the large backpack is suddenly dropped from the creature, who stands a little straighter and starts to roll its shoulders. Then, the gloves of its suit are pulled off, and the creature pops its knuckles. Suddenly a sharp cry pierces the night, and the little creature launches itself at the head of one guard, latching an arm around him and bringing him down to the ground face-first. It then strikes a quick pose and takes a jump to rapidly pummel the other guard in the face and chest with a flurry of fists!
Rebound	The pair of guards weren't even ready to be attacked so quick, as they both wound up going down to a flurry of punches, it's pretty brutal how bad they get beaten, but they're just mooks after all. "Well holy crap. Wonder if that's another mutant." Rebound says to herself, as she hops down off the roof and lands on the sidewalk, "Hey little dude. Nice work."
Buggabix	The creature whirls around and strikes a defensive pose as the kangaroo appears. "Pssshhh Shkohhh," he breathes. "Jumpylady mock Buggabix's height?" he demands. "Buggabix will painbring if so!" He doesn't move though, unsure if this newcomer is a friend or foe.
Rebound	"Hey hey, whoa." She says, holding her hands up, "Listen dude, I don't wanna fight you. I don't even know who you are. But I'm guessing it's Buggabix since you seem to only be able to talk in the third person." She grins, "I'm Rebound. I'm sorta the local law enforcement around here. Except you know for all the laws I break while enforcing it."
Buggabix	"Re...bound?" Buggabix echoes, the word foreign to him, even if he knows English. "Rebound is lawforcer? Oh...Buggabix gets it. Buggabix was going to facepunch these humies. Buggabix maybe help Rebound?" he asks, sounding intrigued. There's the sound of stuff breaking from inside. "Buggabix earsense more inside!"
Rebound	"Yeah these guys are breaking the law, trying to steal some money. YOu wanna go in there and kick their butts? Lets do it. Just don't kill them, okay? We'll knock them out and leave them for the cops." She moves up to the door, glancing inside, "After you, Buggabix. Go in there and kick their asses. I'll be right behind you."
Buggabix	Buggabix walks beside Rebound up to the door, comically undersized compared to her. He nods at her suggestion. "Right, no killing. Buggabix got it." When the signal is given, the little goblin gives a mighty roar and charges in, moving quite fast as he beelines for the first unfriendly looking type he sees, lunging at a robber to tackle him to the ground and repeatedly punch him until he's out like a light, still yelling.
Rebound	"Alright, get 'em!" Rebound yells, cheering Bugghabix on as he pummels the robber. She grins and spots another guy moving up behind the Goblin, diving forward to meet up with the goon, kicking him in the gut. After he doubles over from being kicked, she grabs him around the head and sits down, slamming his face into her shoulder and knocking him out cold. Seems like a third guy has heard the comotion however, as he runs out from the vault room, "HEY!"
Buggabix	Buggabix snorts as he removes himself from the first robber, head swivelling to face the third. He dashes right for him, heedless on whether or not the guy might actually have a gun, then suddenly rises in a vicious uppercut reminiscent of certain Street Fighters... This sends the robber flying. "Hahahah, too easy!" he declares.
Rebound	None of these guys actually have guns. After all, nobody in this world seems to use firearms when they commit these rather unplanned robberies. The third guy goes down in a heap, and Rebound casually walks up to the door to the vault. "Hey guys." She calls out, "Listen all your dudes out here are down, and if you don't surrender I'm going to send my attack, uh.." She looks at Buggabix, "What are you exactly?"
Buggabix	"Goblin!" Buggabix practically shouts. "Strongest gobbie there be!" He pounds on the vault doors a few times to show he means business.
