Kotone Shiomi The Dark Hour looks especially gloomy during the full moon, the unnaturally large moon glows green through the clouds, casting the entirety of Tatsumi Port Island in a green glow. What few travellers were at the station are locked inside their coffins like usual. It's late, so not too many people were there, but the last monorail had arrived just before the Dark Hour, so there are still some people scattered about.

Kotone Shiomi is already there, she's holding tightly onto her Naginata, her knuckles white with some degree of clear anxiety at display. A gun-like object is in a holster on her hip, and a red cloth armband with 'SEES' on it is attached to her upper arm. She's waiting for others to arrive.
Ainsley Ainsley arrives quickly enough, floating on down from the sky from where she entered the area. The Dark Hour is new to her, so she cannot help but stare up at the moon, her reptilian visage creased in an uncomfortable expression at the sheer size of it. Most moons are certainly not that close.

"..."

She turns her head to look at one of the coffins, too, quickly picking up on what they're meant to represent. "These people have no idea..." she murmurs, rubbing one of her forearms nervously at all the imagery of death around them. She clearly doesn't like this at all. Her feathers are even bristling in bird-like agitation.
Staren     The glowing red beam of light shoots down from the sky and coalesces into Staren, armored up as usual. Everyone but Shiomi gets friendly nods, he hasn't met her yet! After a moment, he notices the moon and stares at it for a moment, analyzing the effect. "Huh. That's freaky."

    Aaand, coffins. "What the hell?!"
Yuna Kagurazaka Yuna arrived just before the Dark Hour struck, with Elner at her side as usual; she's already transformed, which makes it somewhat easier to get to the station where Kotone Shiomi is expecting everyone. She's not sure whether any of the rest of the Matrix of Light should be here, but without knowing where the Shadow itself is, there doesn't seem like much point in planning on any of her alternate armor forms.

Fortunately, she happened across Gaonoir while en route to Tatsumi Port, and asked if the Digimon would like to come along and help. So the odds *should* be a little more in the good guys' favor .... or at least, less unbalanced in favor of the Shadow (or Shadows).

"Hey Kotone, Ainsley, Staren," Yuna greets the others as she reaches the station. "Kotone, this is Gaonoir; I don't know if you've met any Digimon before, but he's one. And Erika here is his partner; I'm not sure if we'll need to keep any Shadows from getting at her, but I'm sure Gaonoir would be happier knowing he doesn't have to be her main defender." She glances at the pair, grinning - both reassuringly and a little bit impishly. "Right?"
Gaonoir And Yuna's introductions are to a dark furred bipedal dog who just chuffs a vage "Yo" and waves with a gloved paw, and a young lady that's easily described by the 'cute and nerdy' trope. Erika also seems to be the one that does most of the talking at first. "Yuna said you were having troubles with.. Shadows?" She cocks her head a bit towards Yuna, questioning if she got that right.

"Yeah, what they said." Gaonoir resumes folding his arms across his chest. "Just tell me when and who to punch. Erika knows to stay out of the way." Though the way her gives his Tamer a sideways look, one gets the impression 'knows' and 'does' aren't always the same thing.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has head that Shiomi had more shadow problems on the way and it wasn't long before Kotone herself had arrive she was geared up for a fight but not in the stealth armour she wore normally. That didn't do much with open shadow combat, she's just wearing more regular clothing fom thelooks of it though very high tech seeming.

"Sorry traffic was abit of a pain."
August Kohler There's a familiar redhead in a hoodie with a shard of glass in his hand as a weapon. August steps among the others, taking a glance up at the moon before he turns to Shiomi. "So, incredibly powerful Shadow, right? What's the plan? Any intel, or are we winging it?" They seem to have more information around here, so August asks, though he's assuming they'll be winging it. "Otherwise, I'm ready."
Kotone Shiomi Once everyone is here, Kotone nods to the others, "Thanks for coming. It's supposed to be in the Monorail train that just got here." With that nugget of knowledge, she leads the group into that train. With all technology shut off, the only source of light available the group didn't bring them is the eery glow of that green moon. "The plan is simple, we find it, we defeat it." AKA 'winging it'

Once everyone is on board, the first shadows pop out, a group of strange floating critters with crowns, holding books, that come at the collected challengers from both sides, "Those are weak shadows. We'll have to get through them." She suggests, and then takes a few deep breaths, taking out the object from her holster that looks exactly like a gun and slowly putting it to her temple.

"PERSONA!" She pulls the trigger, and out comes a clockwork figure holding a heart-shaped harp, it then reaches out to bash the face of one of the shadows in with that harp.
Ainsley Ainsley smiles to Kotone, her gratitude met with the good-natured reptile's more positive attitude. The lizard woman, knowing the nature of Shadows and worlds like this, spares another meaningful look at one of the coffins just before they head onto the train. She draws her sword as they step onto the guided vehicle and makes sure to steel herself for the promised violence.

Ainsley charges right into the fray once told to deal with the weaklings. She raises the longsword over her head and makes a tremendous overhand slash down at the masked being, growling out in the effort of swinging around a piece of sharp metal when she's clearly something of a lithe creature and not meant for extended melee combat. She's simply conserving her magical strength for the true threat here, for whatever that'll be worth.
Staren     As Staren steps into the train and sees shadows attacking, he throws a small LED light onto the floor to provide some light, then raises his arm to fire -- then hesitates. Would his beam cannons go through the shadow and damage the car? "Hey, so is this effect like a seperate dimension, or do we need to worry about collateral damage?" As his hesitation gives the shadows a chance to approach him, he draws his beam sabers and investigates how easy they are to cut down.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Inside the train, huh ..." Yuna glances briefly at Elner, then materializes her pistol as she boards the train; close quarters like this will rule out most of her options.

Including, well, pretty much *all* of her variant forms. Powered Form would just be way too bulky, Flight and Marine Forms wouldn't have room to move around. Even the full-sized Matrix Divider would probably be problematic - bringing it around to aim at different targets is one thing, but it's big enough that melee combat would probably be right out.

Her *other* sword should be manageable, and Shugoseiheki will probably be more of an advantage than usual - tight quarters mean the Shadows can only attack from so many directions at once, making the kite shield all the more useful for protecting people with. For now, though, she's content to blast the Shadows with her pistol's focused bolts of what amounts to hard light (with extra Holy/Light influence in each shot, for good measure). Shooting them in the face, or the mask or whatever, works just as well for her as sniping from a distance. "I'd try to avoid damaging the surroundings, Staren," she suggests. "And don't let any stray shots hit the 'coffins,' either."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "It's not a problem but I still don't get how I can operate here. I got nothing when it comes to things like this." It's a mystery to her honestly and she might lookinto it later she also sminles at the other Kotone and Ainsley as well glad to se friendly faces even Yuna, Staren and August get in on things.

"I'm as ready as I can bd nd good I'm better on that cool of thought than anything else to be honest."
Gaonoir "This is one of the most uneasy feeling trains I've been on, and I've been to the New York subway," Erika comments as they're boarding the train. "What purpose does it have to be on a train? Because of the potential victims, or something else?" Most of her questioning seems to be aimed towards Shiomi whom seems to be the resident person in the know.

However the line of questioning is brought short by the Shadows making themselves know in all their spooky prescense. Both Erika and Gaonoir turn to look at the ones appearing on the other side of the group, which thankfully means Erika didn't see and weird out at the way the Persona is summoned. "Oh dear, and you're not going to be able to digivolve in here, Gaonoir."

"You keep forgetting," Gaonoir replies as he clenches his gloved paws, bandana swaying as he rocks from foot to foot."

As the first Shadow approaches Gaonoir ducks under its arms, and launchs himself into a rising uppercut aimed at whatever passes for the creature's lower jaw. Then twists around mid-air to swing a kick at the thing's chest as a follow-up, which is usually a good move for tossing enemies back into the mob of their buddies behind them.

Gaonoir lands back on the deck, gloves up and ready which kind of hides the brief smirk in his expression. "I'm -made- to fight things bigger and meaner than I am."
Staren     When asked for a weapon, Staren reaches into his bag and passes August a pistol and a couple of spare magazines -- it looks like a SIG knockoff from Staren's world.
August Kohler "The coffins look sturdy as hell, not sure we have to worry about them." August muses, as he asks Staren for a pistol over the radio. When handed it, he grabs it, readies it, and pockets the spare magazines, moving into combat. The German doesn't summon his Persona just yet, instead lifting the pistol up at a Shadow and taking several shots at its mask, attempting to shatter it. "Can't get better if I don't practice, right?"
Kotone Shiomi These ones are small fry, and easily taken out. "Whatever those coffins are made out of, they're really tough and take a lot of effort to destroy, but the normal people are in there, so do be a little careful." Kotone Shiomi answers Staren, and then the monorail starts to move, and this startles the girl a little, she looks extremely surprised. "Modern technology isn't supposed to work during the Dark Hour..."

And then she gets something told over her personal radio, and she blinks until she starts to head forwards, "We're on a crash course with another monorail train. We have ten minutes." She informs in a tone of obvious fear, but not panic. She's going to stop this thing or at least give it her best shot.
Yuna Kagurazaka However smooth the monorail's acceleration from 'dead stop' to 'forward' might be, it still catches Yuna by surprise. "Ehh? How is this ..."

And Kotone Shiomi confirms what Yuna was thinking: this SHOULDN'T be possible. Yuna heads forward as well, following Kotone. "Could this train be ... I dunno, integrated with the Shadow somehow?" she wonders. It seems unlikely, and even more unlikely as she says it - but she still knows very little about Shadows overall.
Gaonoir Erika eeps as the train starts to suddenly move, briefly losing her balance and grabbing onto something to keep herself upright. "... Do they even know how to drive a train?!" Apparently not, if they're on some sort of collision course.

Gaonoir teeters a bit, but other than some comical arm pinwheeling manages to keep on his feet better. As soon as he's stabilized himself again he snorts, then turns his attention to the rest of the train and bounds over to one side of the car. "Erika, help me get a window open or something. If I can get outside I can digivolve and maybe do something to try and slow the train down!"
Staren     Staren stumbles as the train moves, and nods to Yuna. "That's what I'm thinking, or perhaps the shadow is moving it with supernatural powers. I'm thinking we go investigate the front car, and failing that, we get out and sabotage the wheels or magnets until this thing stops." He does start trying to make his way to the front car. He's not worried about destroying locked doors -- what matters is saving the people.
Ainsley Ainsley breathes a sigh of relief as the initial shadows prove to be somewhat easy to slay... but then the monorail shudders to life, and Ainsley is nearly bowled over as it begins to accelerate. The reptile grabs one of the handholds and widens her bright blue eyes, startled by the sudden and nonsensical activity of an otherwise dead vehicle.

She stuffs her sword back into its scabbard and begins to follow Kotone, moving with a practiced urgency. Fear, but no panic. She seems to be on a similar page to the local Persona user, so to speak.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotones looks for a moment and nods.

"I will watch my fire regardless. I know, my entire body is made of it. Maybe that's why it functions because it's directly connected to what's left of me?"

She hers the wanring and cringes there could be a disaster here. 5R
"I don't know maybe the train is the shadow? We need to stop this one way or another."

Kotone's normal tricks tohack into thing aqre workless todya as she falls in with the younger Kotone and the rest of the party.

"Come on let's get amove on before we end up crushed."
Kotone Shiomi The windows are all closed shut, and there's no emergency doors either. It seems there's an emergency stop that unlocks the doors, but it's not working. How lovely, technology that only works selectively. It looks like the only way out would be by forcing the way out, which would cause quite the stir when people return to normal.

As soon as the group catches up to the front cabin, there's an obvious shaodw there, a massive lady wearing no more than a skirt, sitting on the ground with legs spread. Her hair stretches to block the path to the staff cabin, which would be where the brakes are at, and her right half is pitch black while her left half is pure white. She wears a red mask with the number II on it. "It's of the High Priestess Arcana." Kotone establishes as fact.

It screaches, and a pair of the same kind of shadows as they encountered before come to her side.
Gaonoir Erika gives the emergency release a few shaking jerks, but it refuses to work. This technology only working at certain times but apparently the enemy can just say eff that and get a monorail moving in the first place is really getting annoying.

"Pfff. Let's do this the quick way." Gaonoir winds back one of his arms, a bit of darkened energy starting to swirl around his gloved fist... But then he yelps as Erika grabs his arm and holds him back. "Hey! I was just going to open it!"

"You can't just go smashing doors open!" Fortunately he's still in his small form so Erika can easily yank him back from the door. "Besides, at the speed monorails travel, that would possibly depressurize the cabin and cause more harm than good."

"... Pff. Fine." Gaonoir grumps gruffly as he jerks his arm free of her grasp, but only to turn to continue after the others. Erika let out a huff of her own as she stood and straightened out her glasses and follows. Dealing with a partner that's use to just breaking whatever he needs to break was a pain in the butt sometimes!
Staren     "Who cares if we damage the train a little as long as we save lives? Stay focused on the real objective, here." Staren chastises Erika.

And then, the Shadow. Presumably, anyway, it's the only one that looks different from the others. He pulls a high-tech submachinegun from his bag and empties the magazine at her -- Despite his earlier comment, he'd prefer not to wildly damage the train with energy weapons. He doesn't know exactly what's under the floor, and if he judges the power too badly, he might damage the track and cause a crash. That would be bad.
Yuna Kagurazaka Trapped in a monorail that should be stopped at the station, but is moving anyway. That's not great - but the solution is pretty much already known: Take out the Shadow that's apparently controlling the train.

Simple enough, right?

And that's what Yuna is thinking when the group finds the boss Shadow blocking the way to the frontmost cabin. "Shugoseiheki!" Yuna calls out, materializing her kite shield on her left arm. "Anyone who needs cover, stay behind me, I'll try not to move around too much!" the blonde calls out to her allies; she rests the shield's bottom corner on the floor, and opens fire on the rightmost of the freshly-summoned mook Shadows.
Kotone Yamakawa the Group keeps moving forward with the group and she's listens to the information as they now see the thing before them she takes a moment to get an idea about the shadow.

"Woah"

She's got an SMG out now at this point and she's making ready to engaged it the moment and she rolls backwards rises up and now she's going to try and take the fire.

"Try to avoid damage but if you have not choice put lives over property first and formost."

She'll open fire on the shadow but she's clearly checking her shots with coffins about if anyone's paying attention to that.
August Kohler As the monorail starts moving, August stops to steady himself, sighing. He makes sure his gun is still ready, and then proceeds with the others, where they spot the boss. It's...creepy, alright. "Hey, Shadow. Do you talk?" He calls out to her, before raising his gun and pointing it at one of the mooks, moving to destroy it quickly. If it works, he'll move for the other mook if someone else doesn't get to it.
Ainsley     The sight of the Full Moon Shadow is... not as terrifying as the Huntsman was, but perhaps that's because it is not as bombastic. Imminent death is still imminent death, and after a certain point Ainsley can only be so strung out. She frowns at the sight of it when they arrive, but she makes no comment toward it. It just makes an incoherent noise at them and summons more Shadows for them to deal with. That'll be a problem, she thinks, and so she does what she can do to minimize the time it takes to destroy this Shadow.

She pulls her book out and peers down into her reflection on the metal-bound cover and speaks a single word.

"PERSONA!!!"

A flash of blue light and a sound like a mirror shattering happens, and a manifestation appears behind her in the form of a strange turtle-like fisherman with squinty eyes and a pipe that wafts blue flames from it. She then waves her hand out and shouts "Go!"

And a flash of colorful light emits from one of the turtle man's eyes, trying to bolster the party with an emotion-based buff. Positive feelings mean a boost in physical capabilities for a short time! Though she's casting it pretty widely over the group, it WILL have an appreciable effect on their combat abilities.
Kotone Shiomi "I care. Regular people don't know what's going on, and wouldn't believe us if we told them, so random destruction would just lead to panic. If we need to, we will, but let's try defeating the shadow first." Kotone answers Staren with a tone of sheer disbelief, that he seems incapable of grasping this shocks her.

Everyone else seems to get with the program and just focus on the boss, fortunately. Kotone takes cover behind Yuna for now, as the idol takes out one of the summoned shadows, then August takes out the other. A wave of positive energy comes over the group, and Kotone Shiomi takes the opportunity to once more put her 'gun' to her head and pull the trigger, thereby summoning Orpheus. The Persona throws fire at it

Yamakawa and Staren fill her with bullets, which seem to have some effect, but she's not deterred, and quite quickly a wave of ice springs forth, reaching for most of the group. She also blows a kiss at August, winking as she does the magic behind it.
August Kohler As the mook goes down, August reloads, and moves to aim his gun at the Shadow. But a strike of ice impacts with him, sending him skidding on his feet, and she blows a kiss at August. It takes a moment, but he starts to lower his gun...and then turns towards Ainsley, pointing it straight at her and beginning to fire. Something odd seems to be going on, as bullets begin flying at his lizard-ally.
Gaonoir Oh good, they didn't miss the actual fight with the head freak yet. Gaonoir is all for getting up in things, but has to stop and shield himself as the blast of ice of the attack crackles over them. Wisely Erika stays farther to the back, but even she shivers a little from the drop in temperature.

"Ugh, talk about cold receptions," Gaonoir quips as he shakes frost off his gloves. Then with a leap twirls himself into a spinning wheel of dark digital energy and hurtles at the Shadow.
Ainsley Ainsley takes a steely expression when the companion Shadows go down quickly, seeming to nod slightly at the sight. She approves of the use of fire and bullets, but she suddenly sucks in a breath when she notices the wave of ice. And the ice hits her dead on, and it /floors/ her, knocking her back and making her stagger and nearly fall over.

And then she gets shot. The combination of her body nearly collapsing from the sudden drop in temperature and the shock of pain causes her to cry out and immediately crumple onto the floor, clutching at the bullet wound, utterly incapacitated from the cold sapping her strength and the pain crippling the rest of it.

Ainsley is having a bad day.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "I care too, the trouble from a panic would cause more harm than good. I do not like hiding things but sometimes it's for the best. Such as the truth about certain technologys being comptable with people my from world." Undying One percenters are a horror to her. She does not stop moving though as she feels Shiomi do something with her efforst. Her own shot sseem to do something but she fins ice coming for them and she's caugh3 iwht some of it one of her limbs is trapped in the ice and Kotone is forced to fire while pinned. She's now exposed to attacks
Yuna Kagurazaka The wave of ice magic hits Yuna too, and even if her kite shield protects her from most of the physical damage, the combination of the impact and the sudden, extreme chill both leave her reeling.

And then August turns around and shoots Ainsley. "Wha - AUGUST?!" yelps Yuna, righting herself long enough to drive Shugoseiheki's bottom point into the train floor. It's not much, but the kite shield will stay upright without her holding it, at least for a while.

Long enough for her to lunge at August and slap him across the face, at least. Hopefully that'll snap him out of it - and if it doesn't, at least she'll be the most likely target next time he pulls the trigger on an ally.

(There'd better NOT be a next time, but if there is, Yuna's trying to make sure she'll be the one taking the bullet.)
Staren     There's a gulf in perception and expectations, here. Kotone Shiome is just trying to keep her world safe, but to Staren, the idea of permanently hiding the Multiverse's existence -- let alone that of the supernatural -- is like worrying about the effects of the steam locomotive on the world while the internet is already making and breaking industries and reshaping society. Even with the risk posed by the world's collective unconscious, you can't possibly keep up some ridiculous masquerade forever, right? The only path forward is to accept that there is more to the world, and teach people to understand it rather than feat it.

But Staren doesn't personally know people here, whose lives could be destroyed by shadows caused by the fear of a single misstep.

To be fair, he's talking about bashing through some doors, not crashing the train. Staren gives her a funny look, but nods at the suggestion to destroy the shadow first.

Then, ice. His suit can protect him from the cold, but magic ice spikes begin to smash his forcefield apart, chunks of the amber sphere exploding into sparkles while the emitter discs on his chestplate spark and smoke.

But he can't worry about that now, because Ainsley! "What are you DOING?!" He realizes as soon as he says it: "He's mind-controlled!"

He turns away from the fight to protectively kneel over Ainsley's body. Unfortunately, the gun he gave to August is so low-tech he can't remotely disable it -- but a semiautomatic pistol is far from the worst weapons his defenses have had to stand against, and his armor can certainly take it better than Ainsley's frozen body. "Ainsley, are you okay?" He's pulling out a roll of nanobandage to stabilize the wounds, while trying to think of what to do about the cold. He may have to move her.
Kotone Shiomi Shiomi's fire burns away at the Shadow some, the Dark Digital Energy takes another chunk, and Yamakawa's gunfire digs through the opening. Unfortunately, there's plenty more shadow to be blasted off by attacks, and with everyone else distracted by August's mysterious shift in alignment, it takes the opportunity to summon two more of its own friends, and follows it up with her scroll-like hair rushing forward to slap Gaonoir and Yamakawa.
Gaonoir Gaonoir rebounds off his own attack, only to get slapped out of the air by the scroll-hair by the Shadow's counterattack. There's an audible thud as he hits the deck hard and tumbles with the blow. Not the most graceful of landings.

"Grrr." Now that he doesn't have the room to digivolve is really getting frustrating. A gloved paw thumps hard to the floor as he pushes himself back onto his feet. "We don't have time to keep screwing around with this bitch. Hit her as hard as you can! STATIC HOWL!" An electrified sonic blast is released at the Shadow.
August Kohler August doesn't respond when shouted at. When Staren moves to shield Ainsley, he just keeps firing at their direction, the bullets dampered but not stopped by Staren's defenses. It's when Yuna comes up and /slaps him/ that he stops firing...and blinks a few times. "W-what? Wait-" And then he glances down at Ainsley, frowning intensely. /Intensely/. He doesn't say anything, but instead pulls up the shard of mirror to his eyes. "PERSONA!"

The Tin Soldier manifests, and flying straight at the Shadow in a fury, moving to torch it with its flamethrower machinegun leg. Baked Shadow, anyone?
Yuna Kagurazaka A look of relief passes over Yuna's face as August snaps out of it, and she goes back to where she left Shugoseiheki - not necessarily because *she* needs the shield (although one or another of her allies may need cover), but because it *is* still part of her equipment and she doesn't want to leave it standing there.

The moment it takes to relocate also lets her focus power, building up energy for her own next attack; she levels her pistol at the boss Shadow's face (mask, whatever), its muzzle brightening -

And when she pulls the trigger, a bolt easily the equal of anything she's fired from the full-sized Matrix Divider is unleashed.
Ainsley Ainsley cannot really regulate her body temperature, and so it takes a moment or three to regain her senses after the shock of pain from getting shot. Staren's nanobandage does a good job keeping her from bleeding any further than she had been, and the lizard woman pushes herself slowly to her feet, struggling to regain her strength even though the fatigue was pressing down on her.

Mirroring August's displeasure, but coming from the pain of having a teammate turned against her instead, she draws her sword and charges into the fray. The ambient heat of August's attack is used to help heat her back up as she approaches!! She hooowls through her pain, the noise a mixture of human-like agony and animalistic desperation as she makes several strong slices and then leaps aside so that the others have room to hit the Shadow without her blocking their shots.
Staren     He has to warm her up, has to warm her up, warmth warmth warmth... Staren pulls a blanket from his bag, but no, she's cold-blooded, that won't -- Oh August is using fire (and not on them!), that works!

And August is already probably causing fire damage, so...

No, now he's at risk of damaging the train controls. He loads a new magazine and tries to take out the secondary shadows while the others focus on the main beast.
Kotone Yamakawa There's more shadows and she's not even sure what to do about August. She does not want to attempt to use Eelware on him the last time. She's not forgot his attempt to murder her more or less. She keeps shooting shadows and bouncing about the train. With August handled now she's got less to woryr about and she keeps shooting at the hordes of lesser shadows. She'll trust the others to deal with the big one while she keeps them all from getting swarmed.
Kotone Shiomi Gaonoir's Sonic blast pushes the Shadow back, and the Tin Soldier burns through it, this is swiftly followed up by the bolt from Yuna's pistol. Weakened and backed into the corner by it all, the enraged Ainsley cuts its scroll-like hair to ribbons and takes out several other bits and pieces, and with that, it collapses.

Staren and Yamakawa finish off the other shadows in fight, leaving the room to the controls clear. It shouldn't take long to find and hit the brakes, which happens to be a good thing, as another train is in their sight, and they're rapidly closing in.
Gaonoir Gaonoir dusts himself off. "One of you techie sorts find the brakes already." That's not his area of know-how. Back home even trains are digimon driving themselves. From where she's stayed back in a corner Erika is clicking away on her device, making a few notes about these 'Shadows' and how technology stops working at weird specific times like this.
Staren     They did it! And there are the emergency brakes.

<By my calculations, the train will stop before impact.> Dawn reassures them, using his armor's sensors to measure the train's deceleration and the distance to the other train.

After a moment, Dawn locates and AR tags the shell casings from the pistol for Yuna, Staren, and Kotone to pick up -- Staren's SMG is caseless. Any bullets that didn't vanish with the shadows are similarly tracked down.

Are you alright, Ainsley, August? It's okay, August, it happens to everyone. They made me shoot the Union's best mechanic. She survived."
Yuna Kagurazaka So much for the Shadow; Yuna dismisses both her pistol and her shield, although she and Elner are staying alert for any other signs of Shadows. Elner helps Yuna locate any bullets and shell casings to be retrieved, too - Yuna's not quite sure why Staren is THAT worried, but .... well, given gun control laws in most iterations of Japan that Yuna is acquainted with? Probably for the best just to make sure there's no spare evidence of a firearm being discharged around here.

Especially if the technology evidenced by said casings is substantially higher than this world has to offer normally.

Once that's done, the best Yuna can do is watch the others work - if the train isn't going to stop in time, there's basically nothing left she can do about it.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone is going to head for the controls and move to get that trian stopped givne how strong she is. Kotone will clean up her bullets too but first she's going to stop the train if it's needed still and she thankfully /does/ use caseless rounds normally as well.
Ainsley Ainsley has a gunshot wound and her skin hurts from the cold burn, and she is watching a train approach them through the front window of the monorail train they're on. She stares as it approaches despite any sort of reassurances that she might get, despite knowing the brakes have been activated, because she absolutely doesn't want to get into a train wreck.

"August," she mentions, "Why do you keep using guns, again?" She looks over her shoulder and her voice is... strained, the way one would sound when they're not being completely serious. She smiles at him, though she's clearly really uncomfortable. "Have you run into Shadows that do that in the Forest yet?" she wonders, as the mind control effect was entirely new to her. "That was awful..." She places her hand over the bandaged gunshot wound.
August Kohler Once the Shadow is dead, the fire stops and the Persona fades. August only glances at Staren, not responding, and instead replying to Ainsley. "That fatass cat, the night you were kidnapped. Mind control is pretty rare in Shadows, but I've seen it once or twice." He moves over to rifle through and she if she dropped any loot. "I'm sorry. Are you going to be alright, Ainsley?"
Ainsley "No," Ainsley answers, "I was shot." She smiles with even more strain, though, "I'll survive," she adds, trying to make sure August doesn't get the wrong idea. She almost reaches over to pat him comfortingly, but look, her hands are covered in blood. She pauses and frowns at the sight of it, grossed out by evidence of her own wounding. "That's why I don't remember it very well, though. I have stronger memories of that trip..."
