Theurgus     Locus, The Diamond City. Those who have been here before would instantly recognize the effects of the System Tower. The Resource Lines barely even flicker, and all the lights save for those on their own, internal power supplies, are out. People are out in the streets with these portable lamps, going door to door to make sure people are safe. The Locus Defense Force has the hospital patched into a group of serial-linked Golems, providing power for their systems from the core matrix of the constructs. All the automated systems are offline, save for the System Bus which draws power from the System Hub, not the Drive.

Instead an airship, running off an internal battery, loiters near the entry platform. "Get in! I'll take you straight to the tower. All the Cable Cars are offline because of the damn thing." calls the pilot as the responders appear.
Rebecca Chambers A familiar place indeed for Rebecca. She's been here several times and is familiar with the way things work and what to expect here... and the fact that there's trouble constantly brewing it seems. Fortunately, Rebecca's also always on high alert for things like this, and when the distress signal comes out, she's moving out rather fast. Quite dedicated Rebecca is.

Within a few moments of her arrival, she looks around and spots the airship. Nodding to the pilot, Rebecca makes her way towards the airship, getting inside quickly and taking a moment to load her Beretta while looking around to see who else is here.
Miari There's something ODD about the way the kimono-clad woman who just emerged from a warp gate flits across the ground. Her rapid steps are too light, as though wind-buoyed, all carrying her far too quickly for her tiny frame. Her gale-like passage is almost like flight, and yet comes quietly to a stop near the platform. Her only form of guidance seems to be a shining golden bracer hidden up one sleeve which she periodically glances at before rounding bends...

The young woman's brown eyes flicker back and forth over every strange thing with a mixture of glee and curiosity, but she somehow manages to avoid getting side tracked by the bizarrchitecture and instead makes a final leap, skidding to a halt at the meeting site...

... Somehow, without kicking up a dust cloud or making quite as much noise as the manuever should.

After clapping both hands to her thighs to tamp down on her billowing outfit, she deftly draws a metal fan from her sash and twirls it expectly- still closed.

"So this is the Diamond City? What marvelous engineering. A pity that my first time here must be for a crisis..."

She hops on into the apparent vehicle with a familiarity that her archaic attire doesn't quite jive with, swiftly seeking a seat.

And once she is seated, her gaze quickly swivels across everyone else entering the vehicle...
Lexicon     In a flash of pale light, Lexicon arrives through the System Bus, eyes immediately narrowing at the dimmed status of Locus. She takes two steps, total, before a pair of smaller flashes cast light behind her. She stops, eyes rolling upward in a 'why me' sort of expression. She doesn't have to look to know who just arrived. She simply speaks, her voice soft, "I told you to wait until I got back."

"We want to help... miss Theurgus," a blue-clad brunette murmurs quietly. Codex has her hands bunched up under her chin, concern written all over her young face.

"We're helping 'cuz she's our friend an' knows cool magic!" the pink-clad Index insists, hands down at her sides in a defiant posture. Her cheeks puff out, "You never let us help, but we're super strong now!"

Lexicon pinches the bridge of her nose, eyes shut, while she considers her defiant little sisters. After a moment, she nods once, "Fine. Index. I want you to help the Locus Defense Force. With the Drive in this state, they may have problems with viruses that try to take advantage of it. Codex, the hospital in the center of town will probably really appreciate your healing."

"You're splitting us up?!" both twins say in the same instant.

Lexicon turns, then, resting one hand on either girl's shoulder. She puts on her best supportive expression, glancing from one to the other, "You're both very strong. I've always been proud of you. But we need to divide and conquer to save the day. I'll be working hard, so you both need to work hard, too."

When both twins nod in understanding, Lexicon turns back to the Tower in the distance. Silver, pixellated light erupts around her as she transitions into her Digital Divinity. Blocky wings of light materialize and she immediately takes to the air, drawing a white streak across the sky of Locus.
Kotone Yamakawa Locus, the Diamoned city was a place Kotone had not been before, she was clad expecting trouble though. She was clad in a form fitting suit of greish black armour and had a strange almost pistol like device at her hip. Also a small drone hovered by her shoulder as she attives. shr takes note of Miari's arrivel and does place the voice as she moves to head towards the Vehicle.

Come on, we shouldn't delay and I haven't been here before either."

She will on a lark check for wireless signals given this place's nature. Mairi might notice something slightly off about Kotone notably with her eyes, but she seems friendly at least.
Sanae Kochiya There was no real reason for Sanae to climb aboard, though in the end, experience is enough of a motivator, as it usually is. There was also that slight chance it would conserve a bit of energy, in case the Tower had a nasty surprise in store, this time around! The green haired girl steps up to the platform, and eventually on to the airship, this time. Like Miari before her, there's a certain nature to her pace, simultaneously unhurried but making good time all the same, and with her footfalls making a lighter sound than might be expected in the process. "I came as quickly as I could," she announces! At least, despite the resources being tapped dry by the ever-increasingly voracious Tower, things with their own power supply are still going.

She never ends up taking a seat, though, instead, after giving a polite smile to others, opting to move over to a window further inside, leaning forward to get a look at a rare sight. Even in this kind of condition, the Diamond City is kind of pretty; everything that glows is made even more obvious, lending an extra dose of mystery to the shapes of the already fantasy architecture. Though she could not have known that her words in the past possibly just made Lexicon's work a little harder (the twins can handle it!), she does catch of the streak in the sky, from her vantage point. "That would be...," she says aloud.
Theurgus     The trip to the giant black spike that reaches from the Base to the Skybox is a short one, by whatever means the responders arrive. At the entrance to the tower, which has punched clean through a floating island, is Charta, seated on several crates, and frantically punching away at holographic screens, trying desperately to manage the dwindling power supply to where it's most desperately needed. "Oh dear, oh dear..."

Once everyone arrives though, Charta says, "Oh thank goodness, The door still opens, it has not sealed itself like the other times... I believe I saw Miss Bunnabelle entering not long ago. Please, I only know that Lady Diamond Soul is in grave danger. I am authorized to offer a Locus Care Package as a reward and a generous sum of credits on top for your assistance." The small fairy-like being looking entirely overwrought with this whole thing.

The Tower itself looms ominously, the glowing sign beside the entrance reading 73.
Rebecca Chambers The trip is short, which is good because Rebecca generally prefers to immediately get on with her missions as soon as she can. She looks a bit uneasy, but in reality she's just anxious to get started. Once they finally arrive, Rebecca nods to Charta and salutes. "We'll take care of this, don't worry!" Her voice is full of confidence as she speaks.

Upon looking at the tower, Rebecca narrows an eye briefly. "Tower 73... just another day I suppose..." There is no sarcasm in her voice, instead she is simply commenting how common this feels for her within this world.
Sanae Kochiya The airship trip is, otherwise, fairly uneventful. Not even any surprise attacks by Angel Poochooze. That leaves Sanae a few minutes to sightsee at least, and track that streak of light with her eyes. With the dependable Lady Silver Soul on site, their chances of success just increased. Nonetheless, now that she really gets a chance to soak in how deep, and prolonged, the 'off' parts of the pulsing are in the resource lines now, her usual smile fades into a thoughtful, more neutral expression. "The city looks sick," she realizes. "The Tower has somehow gotten even hungrier than last time. Just how long is this going to go on for?" And her friend, going by the dispatch, is already inside there somewhere, either stuck in one of those annoying endless mazes where the pit traps reset, or maybe fighting for her life.

As the airship pulls up to its destination, and she prepares to disembark, she turns to Rebecca. She's doing her best not to sound cross, especially since it's a fair assessment. "That's about right, but...it's gotten to a level where we have to take it seriously, too. It was one thing when it just meant rolling blackouts and a bit of annoyance for a city's people. Like this, it could start to disrupt important facilities." In other words, people could actually get hurt! It's a rare moment when she manages to look serious, and catching herself, she immediately lowers her head, as if in apology. "...of course, you know that, too. Sorry. Let's just go back up Miss Diamond Soul and Lady Silver Soul as quickly as possible."

Now that she's actually on the scene, as it were, Sanae first lays eyes upon Charta, at least in person. She seems to be completely cool about this for a moment. Then, closing the distance in a time that defies how long her legs should be, she suddenly tries to scoop up her up, briefly. "I had no idea that this voice belonged to someone so adorable," she practically coos! Aaaand there goes the serious atmosphere that had been around her, just moments before. Before it can get truly embarassing, though, the words filter in. "Bunnie, too? Y-yes, of course. We'll do our best!"
Miari The moment they're docked Miari's out and leaping out towards the tower entrance, which leaves her with a good view of Charta's antics and frustrations. "That will be quite fine. Everyone, I am not much of a front line combatant. Please keep that in mind."

The self-proclaimed scholar takes a step-leap away from the group for some room though...

And the very next moment, radiant blue-white energies course from her skin and gather around her outstretched fingers. She draws elaborate sigils in the air at blinding speed and practiced precision. The sigils spread out on their own by about ten feet as five streams of wind smoothly curl and accrete around her hands... and all of it rapidly congeals as she flings those hands forward.

With a brief gust of wind marking the spell's apex, the energies coaelsce into a creature... one that looks vaguely like a great wolf, but its body is comprised of congealed mystic wind and completely see-thru. Miari sharply whistles, and the horse-sized Hound paces around and swiftly takes a protective stance over her.

And just like that, the two proceed for the entrance.

"So this tower drains the land in some way... what for, I wonder?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks ocver to Miari as hey arrive and just falls in with the scholar she's new the the multivese she could use some help right and she humms.

"That's the big question, isn't it?" She notes not seemingly put off by me likely use of magic.

She looks to Charta nodding.

"Got it, I'll see what i can do on that."

The small camera drone is ordered on ahead by Kotone as she keeps with Miari.
Lexicon     At the Tower, Lexicon banks, then descends in a slow spiral around the structure, her eyes fixated on the black surface. It's the same as it always has been, a fact that traces a frown across her face. That thoughtful frown remains when she swings her legs out and comes to a stop a meter or so from the platform just outside the door, fixating crimson eyes on Charta, "So Bunnabelle's already arrived and gone inside. That's good, the doors aren't sealed."

Floating downward, closer to ground level, the DCC reaches out. Silvery light pixellates in her grasp, gathering into the haft of her axe which is swung up over her shoulders, "So it's part Floor-Clearing and part Rescue, from the sound of...it..." She remains still, though follows Sanae's beeline for Charta with her eyes, then simply closes them. While the Priestess does something untoward to the Oracle of Locus, Lexicon floats foward, "Good to see you're eager to go, Sanae. Chambers, as well, thank you for arriving so quickly." She pauses, blinking at Kotone, then moving along to Miari.

"I am Silver Soul, the Drive Core Controller of Britannica, and a friend of Diamond Soul who is the Drive Core Controller of this drive, Locus. You can call me Lexicon if you want, I answer to either." Her eyes return to the doors of the Tower, and she rears back to plant her foot against them and force them open, "Our mission is to rescue Theurgus and clear this floor!"

And with the door opened, she dashes right into the yawning black void behind it.
Theurgus     Entering the Tower, a roar of an unseen crowd, much like a collesium. Several floating platforms rise up towards the infinite blackness above the arena floor, and the multi-coloured light flashes higher up suggest that's where Diamond Soul currently is.

That is until a particularly large flash, and the sudden THUD of a body striking the arena floor heralds the unceremonious fall of the Diamond DCC. Theurgus' HDD form looks battered, the robe and bodysuit tattered and broken, her processors bent or outright missing, and the oil-on-water effect in her hair drained and almost faded completely.

"GAME!" announces a happy voice. "A NEW CHALLENGER HAS ARRIVED! ROUND ONE!"

The platforms vanish, and a huge, hulking robot with a single red 'eye' set into the center of a bulky torso appears across from the group at the entrance. Lexicon would notice the model being a standard Commando Eye unit, but this one has a camouflage pattern on its hull, and two massive claws instead of the usual cannon and fist arrangement.
Miari "Miari of Melekin!" Exclaims the emerald-haired sorceress with a bit of politely-restrained upbeatness. The Hound of the winds dips its snout down to sniff a few times at Lexicon, but it seems mostly uninterested in her.

"That was quite a transformation earlier. Never seen such an odd power before."

There's not much time to press though, as the group goes dashing on into the scenario laid before them...

Which leaves Miari gaping rather prominently at the huge robot that's beaten up Theurgus... and the fact that there's cheers from nowhere. And an announcer.

How BAFFLING. "Hound, get the warrior out of the way. Be gentle."

Miari flicks her fan open and gestures... and with a howl the huge 'elemental' bounds into action. It seeks to carefully scoop Theurgus up and carry her off to the side...

Miari, meanwhile, focuses hard. Trickles of magical energies leak from her for those sensitive, a flash of green flame briefly filling her eyes as she focuses her senses on the thing to gauge its threat level...
Rebecca Chambers As soon as Rebecca arrives, she's slightly startled but not the least bit frightened by this or anything. In fact, she seems to have gotten quite accustomed to how things in the tower work, so she's not surprised at all by what appears. It's not until Theurgus appears that Rebecca notices she doesn't look good. And now there's a huge robot coming after them!

Rebecca's initial instinct is to run towards Theurgus and help her, but then Miari's hound goes after Theurgus, so Rebecca decides to follow along and cover the hound while the hound gets Theurgus to safety. Once that's taken care of, she'll go back into the fray to try to help take out the robot.
Sanae Kochiya Yes, this definitely was not the time to be squeezing familiar-like beings or pondering where she might acquire one of her own. Potential danger is afoot. At the askance words of Silver Soul, the priestess straightens back up and goes back to being on better behavior. "Y-yes, of course! As a Tower Vet, I'm ready for whatever it takes!" She even approximates a salute, causing the detached sleeve of that arm to flop around a bit. As Lexicon makes her way inside, though, Sanae gives another glance back at Charta. Next tiiime.

It also gives her a chance to scope out Miari's techniques. That's actually a familiar sensation, coming from that conjuration, and it's not entirely different from her own powers. Though for her, it's more an expression of her demi-divinity. "Wind, huh? Pretty useful power, that. Lots of utility." She manages to say this completely with a straight faced smile.

Most importantly, by the time she got that out, Lexicon has already all but vanished inside the tower, from her perspective. "Ah, wait!" She runs after, thankfully not having much ground to clear in the process. Once they're inside, and her eyes adjust...well, this is new. The platform arrangement at first almost has her expecting some kind of jumping puzzle platformer. That is, until she notices the flashing, and after a particularly ominous one, a shape streaking down to resoundingly smash into the turf before them. "Miss Diamond Soul...and she's really beat up!" Yes, that much is obvious, but it seems to be more a statement of bewilderment -- she'd never actually seen a DCC take this much damage before, beside that one time when Lexicon had a few voxels missing.

If that wasn't clue enough, she looks up as a seemingly detached announcer voice proclaims that a new player has appeared. That would be them, right? Probably. "Maybe we have to fight our way to the top? And if I were designing a game like this, the enemy would get harder each platform." Aside from that observation, though, she withdraws some objects that look like stiff cards. Activating their enchantments as she throws them forward, they twist and fold into a shape like origami serpents in mid-air, and focusing on the very obvious magical weak point of this defense unit. She'll leave dragging Theurgus to safety, and possibly administering a healing item, to others for now!

She knows how these battle floors go. No sense wasting any time!
Lexicon     Once the Floor resolves itself into a coliseum or arena of some sort, Silver Soul ascends. It's an immediate response to the cheering of the unseen crowd, all that noise leading Lexicon to assume something big is already happening. And this ascent gives her a pretty clear view of Theurgus hitting the ground. Her face becomes a tense frown, red eyes skimming the arena's interior for the culprit. An announcer's voice has her looking upward, then following the arena itself as the platforms reconfigure themselves and the robot comes into view.

"Tch..." She recognizes the body, something from the Locus Defense Force. But a low-ranking robot like this should be no problem for Theurgus. Which means either the Diamond DCC is weakened by her Drive's resource drain, or this machine is a lot more dangerous than it has any right to be. She voices it for the others to hear, "Security unit. One of Locus' automated robots, I think."

Red eyes narrow, "But what's with that equipment loadout? Something like this should've been easy for her to trash, so be ready for anything." Glancing over her shoulder, she stresses, "We'll probably need to defeat it. But first, we need to get Theurgus out of danger. I'll get the machine's attention." Turning back to the robot, Lexicon drops at a sharp angle, landing immediately opposite of the machine and swinging her axe from her shoulders to her side. Her free hand raises, gauntlet-clad fingers flexing in a 'come on' gesture, "Come on, ass-brain, come and get me!"

Meanwhile...
The stands are not completely empty! A rabbit-eared girl in a blue dress and gloves fidgets nervously, surrounded by holographic screens scrawling various data. Bunnabelle's not drawing attention to herself aside from simply being there. Probably because she has the combat talent somewhere in the negatives.
Theurgus     The robot 'looks' at Lexicon with that camerashutter eye. Cycling the helical lens shutter once as if blinking incredulously. It then lifts one giant claw up, and aims to slash across Lexicon with it, focussed entirely on her.

Mairi's scan would pick up something /very/ off about the claws specifically. They're not part of its own 'code' they're 'other'. But the reading is very inconsistant, like this isn't the source, but a projection of sorts.

Theurgus groans as she's lifted. Her voice coming out in a distorted, synthetic-damaged way. Like listening to something through a broken speaker. "You kn-kn-know me as Th-Theur-gu-gus the Mad-mad-mad-mad magic-c--cian... and yet you still fa-fa-face me." Before she passes out again, her HDD form melting away, leaving her regular, blue-haired form behind.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa nods to Siulver soul for a momnent. "All right then Lexicon."

She hadn't met the fellow Paladin in person till now and seemed to be in good spirits. But who knows how long that could last then she hears the voice shouing out Game, she sares for a moment at the robot looking at it.

"Okay then..."

she grabs the odd thing on her hip a second later a weapon is in hand a SMG of some sort and the device is back on Kotone's hip.

With the help from Lexicon she get the idea the eye's likely a good target with Rebecca going after the at tisk Theurges she'll do what she can to bring them some cover. It also seems that Miari has her summon doing th same hting. So ther's protection and one of the most experianced medics in the multiverse on the job. They should be all right.

Her sMG opens up as Kotone starts to move with in human speed her shots are fired with the intention to distract the thing whie Theurgus is taken to safety.
Lexicon     Accustomed to being the beefiest fighter on the battlefield, Lexicon's natural inclination is to charge in first and do everything she can to keep the biggest, nastiest thing in the fight focused on her. It's why her Processors are armored. Though her younger-looking figure doesn't exactly make her look 'like a tank', she's more than durable enough to stand up to anything the System has to throw at her.

That's the line of thinking, anyway.

When the robot approaches her, Lexicon lifts off again, maintaining a few inches of space between herself and the platform while bringing her axe to the ready, "C'mon, you piece of crap sardine can..!" When the attack comes from the side, she sweeps her weapon in that direction, bracing against the blow with both arms. It's still enough to knock her aside, and she lets out a grunt when her arms take the impact, "--Shit..!" Gotta keep its attention while the others open up on it..! Dropping, she digs her heels into the platform, then shoves back against the claws biting into her axe haft, in an effort to shove the machine off-balance, "Don't get your hopes up, scum!"
Miari "Keep guard over her for now, my Hound." Commands the Sorceress as Theurgus topples over again.

"Sorcery is not for the faint of heart... but it opens so many doors. You seem to have a few tricks of your own though!" Is the girl's response to Sanae... but then Miari slowly starts stepping towards Diamond Soul, but it's a measured pacing that allows her to simultaneously begin a rather complex chant. An elaborate prayer in a language that translates rather archaically. Devoting attention to the chant now is probably not a good idea, but the words 'tendrils' and 'kraken' can be made out at a few intervals.

The Essence of Water begins gathering around her, building and swirling as a quite visible shining aura of swirling, splashing waves and currents...

Whatever she is casting, it seems to be a rather lengthy spell that gives her plenty of time to critically examine the creature and its claws... and the odd weapon that Kotone's bringing to bear. Miari's surprised to see that... but not so much that her chant is interrupted.

"Beware those claws. The aura around them is tumultuous. I do NOT know what it means!" She gets out between verses.
Rebecca Chambers Meanwhile, Rebecca has taken it upon herself to make sure that Theurgus is OK, before looking at the robot again. "You giant walking scrap heap! I'll fix you! Come on!" Rebecca switches her Beretta for something with a little more power, like her Magnum. Loading a clip into it, Rebecca switches off the safety before turning on the laser sighting on it. "It's somewhat bigger than the Tyrant, but I can take it!"

Rebecca circles around, keeping an eye on the robot as she approaches slowly, watching to see what its tactics are before attempting to fire off a shot.
Sanae Kochiya If her guess is correct and this is the warm up round before the floors get 'real', judging from how easily it knocked Lexicon back, the ones from here must be real killers. Though, that would explain the reason Theurgus has been at it for hours, only to get smited at that point above. Sanae spares a glance in her direction, looking away from battle with a slightly troubled expression -- but also relief, since she's out of the direct firing line now, thanks to others' efforts. Silver Soul is depending on them, too, after all. She's good at gaining and keeping aggro, as a certain other DCC might put it, but it's still up to the 'DPS' to finish things before the defenses break!

"Ahahah," Sanae laughs to Miari, a bit awkwardly given the small talk in combat arrangement, which also serves to keep it brief. "I'm still in training though, really." For the length of time she's been part of the magical world, that is both suspect and believable. After all, such arts can be hard to master even in several human lifespans. Mostly, though, it's modesty. Enough attention span is dedicated to observing the seeming spell weaver that she's able to pick apart pieces of the incantation, even if she'd be nowhere near as adept as Theurgus would be, or even Lexicon's little sister. Huh...

As attention is called to the claws, though, Sanae thinks back to something. "Actually...this feels familiar somehow. ...ah, that dog that got mutated before!" She still doesn't know anything much deeper than that, but it would make this thing a lot more dangerous than it might seem at first. "And if that's the case..." She readies another set of card-like talismans. This time, she waits for an opening as Lexicon gets knocked back slightly, since she's never absolutely confirmed this is friendly-fire safe. Rather than snakes, the paper folds into four frog shapes, and after fanning out slightly in a linear formation, flies forward, the outer two aimed at the claws.

Still, it's just a thought. It'd be really mean of the tower to throw a trick monster at them as the very first 'level'.
Theurgus     The Commando Eye grapples with Lexicon, those claws shedding sparks, and beginning to glow from contact with the plasma blade of the DCC's axe... but not going straight through like they /should/ to the regular units armour. It bears down on the DCC, trying to use its size to overpower.

That is until Kotone's SMG rounds begin to pepper its armoured hull, and a few strike around the 'eye', causing it to flinch back.

The others attack, and the robot starts to smoke, before one of Sanae's strikes punches a hole in the armour, and causes something to detonate within, making the robot 'derez' into broken lines of code and a flash of white and blue light.

"GAME! ROUND TWO!" comes the announcers voice, a platform lifting from the ground with everyone on it, rising up into the air as another robot, this one more sleek with sharper looking claws and a glowing yellow eye and a digital-style camouflage pattern. Looks like Sanae's partially correct at least.

Should Miari 'scan' this one, the signals are more resolved, but still shakey and incoherant. This isn't the source either.
Miari Between the GROUND SUDDENLY RISING and their opponent derezzing into nothing, Miari almost loses control of her spell. But with a squawk of alarm she regains her balance and stretches her arms out to grasp the edges of her building watery aura. The gathered energies calm once more and begin to congeal as she now clasps her hands together and begins folding and unfolding them in elaborate gestures, compressing the watery power and folding it up. The unmistakable bluish shifts to the crimson glow found deep within the earth as the power gathered through the Prayer to the Kraken...

Is woven up and subsumed into the Mudra of Burning Earth.

    "Down with you, virus!"

As the spell completes, Miari flings the gatherd energy out to under the new Virus. It slams into the ground... and spiderweb cracks spread out every which way across the platform. It rumbles and rumbles some more, the cracks spewing the orange-red glow of a deep fissure. The sulfuric smell of rotten eggs wafts forth...

And with a final rumble, several of the fissures BURST open (somehow without mucking with the platform) with great, bubbling geysers of magma. They don't quite solidify, but rather the liquid earth flows and shapes itself into a form resembling octopus tentacles.

"Rip it apart, Magma Kraken!" Commands the Sorceress, with a flick of her swiftly-opened fan.

Moving as one, the tendrils snake around and LUNGE from multiple angles to try and bind the creature's limbs and tear it apart. They are strangely careful and meticulous about this though, going to great lengths to avoid getting in anyone else's way.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone is peppering thething and knows it'snot going to do much but then she sees the hit on the machine's eye. She will align her shots as shekeep bouncingh about as the sound round is called out. However the machine detonatesbefore she can fire off another burst. Now with round two they go up and she looks at it she sees the cameo pattern.

"Miari you got any ... okay.:

There goes a Magma Kraken. Wait Lava Tentacles? There's a chill of terror down her mechanized spine and she'll pull a plasma grenade and lunche it at the thing.

"Mairi why did you ahve to summon something like that?!"
Rebecca Chambers Another robot, go figure.

Even if Rebecca didn't get a shot off against the first one, she can still try to take down the next one. She aims carefully, looking for a possible weak point, before firing off a shot from her Magnum. "They call this the Hand Cannon for a reason," Rebecca comments. "Packs a big punch. Too bad the clip capacity is small."
Lexicon     Lexicon gives her weapon a shove, then darts back a pace or two when the machine explodes, shielding her face with her free hand, "Tch.." Eyes wander skyward when the disembodied voice announces round two, and she switches her attention to the new machine materializing in front of her. She hefts her axe, ignoring the claw marks on the haft, "Alright. Round two then..!"

And then the ground erupts into magma tentacles. Lexicon pauses, a blank look on her face. The 'wait, what' reaction is more than clear. Once it's at least clear these are on the same side she is, she blinks through the initial shock and takes advantage of the extra sets of hands. Ascending briefly, she brings her axe up overhead, "If that's how it's gonna be, than I'll really cut loose! TODLICHE SCHLAG!"

She descends, throwing her weight into the vertical, downward swing, "HYAH!" Aimed right for the center of the machine's body, above its eye. She recoils on the first impact and swings it again, "YAAH!" And then, with the rebound, brings the axe down a third time in a blow that scatters spikes of ice from where the blade strikes, "/EEYAH!/"
Sanae Kochiya So she was right. Sort of. Fire enough darts at a board and eventually one will come reasonably close to the middle! When the first robot eventually has its armor shattered and succumbs, it's actually kind of a relief. Seeing it actually, if briefly, go toe-to-toe with Lexicon was fairly worrying. 'Normal' viruses definitely don't do that! "Round two? Ah..." And it's adopted a slightly different color table this time. That part was actually a joke on her part, and she wasn't actually expecting it, but maybe she should have. Nonetheless, since the platform does the lifting, she doesn't have to take to the air, herself. Even if she'll keep it in her backpocket. Falling as far as Theurgus without any cushioning doesn't look fun.

This one doesn't outwardly seem *too* different, besides some visual upgrades on the same formula, though it could have some internal tricks somehow. She withdraws a wand, that looks more like a paper flyswatter, and seems to ready herself as she's planning her next course of action. At least she was, before Miari repurposes her incantation and basically opens the gates of Hell upon the guard robot. She'd almost feel pity for it, if it were a more sapient virus like Christmas, and as it is she still winces a bit. "Y-yikes...should I even bother to do anything?" She wasn't planning anything quite so overkill.

Well, it won't hurt, just in case it has an immunity or really strong resistance to Miari's spell. She's still staying ranged, for now, but rather than the cards, she focuses her power into the wand. Tracing a five pointed star in the air with it, a glowing outline actually forms in its wake, solidifying into a solid shape of light, and slowly rotating. Once the array is formed, she directs it with a hand gesture. This prompts the points of the star to light up, forming spherical areas of magical concentration, before focusing into a beam that sweeps across the partially-obscured form of the guard drone.
Theurgus     The second robot is pummeled by multiple attacks before it can even move! Lexicon's axe digs deep into the armoured hull, Sanae's strikes hit home and rip off some of the armour plating. The Magma Kraken lashes and burns away some of the leg supports, holding it in place. Rebecca's Hand Cannon punches a hole in a weakened segment, and finally Kotone's strike finishes it off, causing it to once again burst into code fragments and a flash of light.

The fragments go upwards, like the previous one. "GAME! ROUND THREE!"

The Platform fissions again, going upwards again, and spawning a third robot... but this one has two more of the first-level's version behind it. The main robot is a larger, more streamlined form, with a dedicated 'head' unit, and a power core apperture where the 'eye' used to be. This one, if inspected, would be named a Namdun. It has the same claws, but they seem to be forced over the original gattling gun on the right arm, and a traditional hand on the left, twisting the metal around them. Certainly not natural.
Sanae Kochiya As the battlefield reconfigures itself, and the new opponents (plural this time) are revealed, it gives Sanae some time to inspect them. And think on it. "This really does seem to be a common thing in the Tower battle encounters," she ponders aloud. "Taking the forms of a virus from out in the wild, or some arrangement or famous story, then twisting it into shape to fit some role it needs. I'm not saying that has some deeper meaning behind it, though." Just something that strikes her, if indeed there really is someone or something 'behind' the Tower itself, beyond being a rogue block of code. Such thoughts are kept short, however. They do have a trio of these things to contend with now. The ones in the back, though? That was so two challenge levels ago. They're obviously just distractions.

So far, she'd only stayed back. But this time, she actually approaches Lexicon, which might normally be an unwise move in normal battle circumstances. "Since it's only going to get tougher from here, I'll support you," she claims! Thankfully there is no untoward or uncomfortable behavior between the two of them that follows. Instead, Sanae again channels some of her power. As a seeming elementalist, herself, Miari might sense it. There's a wind energy flowing from Sanae toward Lexicon, should she not reject it, anyway. Though it's not the DCC's natural element, the two aren't diametrically opposed, at least. She'd basically be trying to form a shield of sharply blowing winds around Silver Soul, assisting her natural in-your-face roll with a constant barrier of cutting pressure.

Then she steps back. In pen n' paper terms, that was basically her 'full action' for a few more moments, as her natural divinity begins building up anew.
Lexicon     Recovering from her melee strikes, Lexicon sweeps her axe back in one hand, steadying herself when the platform starts lifting up again. New machines appear, with the biggest one sporting the same bizarre equipment as the previous two, and she narrows her eyes. Three, this time. Can she round them up, or will they scatter? She lifts her axe to her shoulders and thrusts her hand out again, "C'mon, this is tickin' me off! Come at me and get it over with, you worthless tin cans! Or just jump off the ledge, it'd save me the trouble!" The characteristic 'come get me' gesture is made with her fingers, again.

    Will Taunt prevail again!?

Hand lowering, she sweeps her axe into a ready position, flexing her fingers, "Thanks, Sanae..! Time to fuck 'em up!" She certainly does get more ... 'harsh' when her blood heats up.

In the stands, Bunnabelle, nervously goes over the content of her screens, chewing on the tip of her thumb, "It's somehow transitioning from one to the next when defeated..." she mutters, "The only way is probably to destroy every possible viral host the alien code is able to jump to..." Her eyes shift from the screen to the battle going on in front of her, "But how many are there... and what /is/ it..?"
Miari Unfortunately for Miari, the platform fissioning shatters her spellwork. The Magma kraken tentacles immediately harden and cool, then crumble into a hundred pieces and the fissures vanish exactly as they came. She cannot hide her fury at this - the young woman's scowling ferociously at this turn of events!

"A mistake... that was a mistake..." A bit overkill, that spell. And it did not take into account what would happen next. She bites down on the fury though, instead sucking in a calming breathe and refocusing herself.

She once again chants. This time, baleful and ominous emerald light gathers around her hands as they flip through Mudra after Mudra. The light accretes as with the previous spells... and she gestures at Kotone's rifle.

A surge of power flashes between the two fighters... and embeds itself in the rifle. It promptly begins glowing, emerald light flowing from the tiniest seams in its construction and malicious green flames leaking from the barrel.

It feels warm to the touch... and yet this baleful power is tightly controlled. The weapon has been empowered with an infusion of the Green Sun's wrath...!

Now, when it's fired, the bullets will explode after piercing into freakish geysers of hateful green flames.

"Ah... my apologies if that unsettled you. As recompense, have some power to really wreck these things."
Rebecca Chambers Meanwhile, while the others have their own special powers, Rebecca is reduced to using her Magnum. Not that it's a bad thing, she just wishes sometimes she had other methods of attacking. "Not the time, Becky," Rebecca muses to herself as she fires again, while trying to keep an eye on Theurgus in case something might have happened to her while her back was turned.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa Seems to have sone something well to help finish round two off. She seems pleasedwith herself atthat andshe's waits for likely round three, b ut tcause isn't there almsot always a round three come some power she didn't expect. Magic she didn't expect as Miari soes womething to her rifle. It doesn't take too long for her to get what's going on but thepower does cause the thing seeming to go to an energy weapon? The flames get it, she feels how warm it is and she keeps shooting just unaware of what's going on.

"Don't worry about it, it's a cultral thing!"

She lays down the shots but she wonders can her weapon /even/ take it for long?
Miari The bullets spewing from Kotone's rifle are ordinary bullets, but wreathed in a hellish green flame. They explode on contact or once fully penetrated rather like grenades, unleashing blasts much like grenades. There's something bone-chilling and unsettling about this power. One does not even need supernatural senses to feel the malice and hate fueling the blaze.
Theurgus     "A NEW CHALLENGER HAS ARRIVED!" announces the disembodied voice. Theurgus returns to the fray, downing a can of some liquid or other. She doesn't transform this time, but comes up beside Miari with her staff in hand. "The next floor is not much of a difficulty jump, however the Organization's pawn at the top is what defeated me." she says, her voice still a little crackly, and several large 'red marks' lining her body, from the damage sustained. She twirls her staff though, joining the fray with a fusillade of ice bullets. "Gerfahrlichtern!" Did she really?

Regardless, Lexicon earns the attention of the largest robot. It charges at her with claws raised and ready, only to rebound off the 'shield' Sanae provided. This leaves it open to be shot up by Kotone's demonic flame enhanced bullets, and the shots from Rebecca's gun. The ice bullets pepper the thing as well as it recovers. Something then breaks inside, from one of the shots hitting a weakened position, and it drops to the ground, groaning synthetically before it derezes, shooting the code up to the next floor.

The two 'lesser' ones derez when the primary does, mid-swing of their large 'club hands' at Sanae and Rebecca.

The platform lifts and expands again. This time twins of the last Big One appear. Namdum Heavy and Namdum Scythe. Neither have heavy weapons nor scythes, but more of those claws. These are MUCH more close to the source, can't be long now.
Miari "The Organization?" Miari blinks, eyes opening wide with rather innocent curiosity... in stark contrast to the ****ING EVIL GREEN FIRE she just put at Kotone's disposal. She glances to the side... and smiles a bit at Theurgus. Quite glad to see them join the effort!

"Welcome back to the world of the living. You almost permanently departed."

And now that Theurgus is rejuvenated... Miari's smile turns a HINT smug.

Because, with its job complete, the Hound of the Five Winds bounds to her side... "Oh Hound of mine. Fetch. That one's Scythe."

'Fetch' she says, huh? The Hound seems to interpret this as 'savage' because it rears its back to unleash a bone-chilling HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWL and then bounces off to rip and tear with tooth and claw... and enough strength to rip flesh apart like tissue paper and shatter bone like twigs.
Lexicon     When the lead machine charges her, Lexicon raises her axe in a defensive posture, grunting when the claw comes down against the shield Sanae had provided. It doesn't kick her back nearly as far, as a result, and she pushes back on the blow to destabilize the robot and give the others an easier time gunning it down. However, she doesn't wait very long at all. The platform is moving to the next level and she's already sweeping her weapon back, pulling System Resources from herself into her outstretched hand.

"Theurgus, nice of you to join us! Have a good rest?" The energy is released, floating in front of her, unstable and blue-white in color, letting off cool mist and flakes of smoke as she rears her axe up over her head with both hands, "LATENT KATASTROPHE!"

She brings her axe down, piercing the energy she left floating there, and subsequently slamming it into the ground with her axe's blade. A line of ice shoots out across the platform, sending up short spikes of ice, until it reaches the lead machine in the trio-- and erupts into a much larger nest of icy spines. The damage they cause is fairly low. The skill is more about restricting movement.

"If it's the guy /after/ these, than let's put them under quick so we can finish this!"
Sanae Kochiya That was actually fairly close. Though certainly, now that they've come this far, she could have withstood at least one claw rake if it'd come to it. Instead, her hair and robes blow a bit from the expected force that is never actually delivered, and the defensive seal that she was starting to raise is sort of wasted, and allowed to dissipate into motes of gentle energy. "Phew." She makes a light gutteral sound to something over the radio, as well, at this point, but...that can wait. What she really wasn't prepared for is Theurgus' sudden dramatic re-entry, which threatens to make her stumble back, before she manages to catch herself. Surprise turns into elation, though, as she allows herself a light clap, "You're okay!" Well, besides some unsightly digital bruising, but nothing some rest later won't fix.

She listens carefully to the words, from someone that's already experienced what's ahead. And believe it or not, she was somehow absent for all the times Theurgus monologued about the perils the Organization brings to the System. She sort of stares blankly for a moment, then rubs at a cheek. "The Organization. Is that something like the Knights Templar?" They have gone by many names over the eons, and sometimes change to suit the reality, you see! No, she can't allow herself to get lost down the rabbit hole of conspiracy, especially when a new opponent is due any moment. And so it appears, right on cue, or rather they. More pallette swaps, but somehow, even though she doesn't have the ability to scan digital organism, they feel closer to the 'true' form.

Even so, she'll hold back on her reserves for what sounds like the climax soon. Instead, she returns to her earlier talismans. As they are somewhat pre-prepared, it allows her to maintain the pressure shield around Lexicon with the rest of her power. What she will do, however, is amplify their effect by using more of them. Rather than a single volley, she uses the rest of her reserves. It's more of the serpent ones again. She actually throws them, seemingly, well off to the side of the Namdum Heavy, but that is misleading. As they would seemingly be about to fly off, they manage to execute an intensely tight turn, now dead-aimed from the flank. Stupid hax Sanae A.
Kotone Yamakawa Her gun's hearing up and several warnings go off on her internal HUD, what the heck did Miari do to her gun? She's worried now about the ammo cooking off. At this range it could do some serious damage to her. She now focused on trying to fire the weapon. She'll tryu to track the new threat and keep shooting the green fire which in her experiance in the multivese is never good but for now she keeps going.

She's also on the move but she looks ready to throw her weapon away if it starts to like /melt/.
Theurgus     Heavy gets caught by the ice trap of the Latent Katastrophe, and subsequently can't dodge the incoming serpent seals. It does use its bulky arms to guard though, the claws embedded into those giant vambraces flickering, the arms a dark yellowish hue, the claws coming away with a dark blueish. Definitely embedded foreign code. It succumbs to the damage quickly, sending its code up to the next 'floor'.

Scythe is pounced on by the Wind Wolf, which itself gets a helping hand from Theurgus. "Winds of Creation, Destruction and the Northern Seas, I call upon thee, smite my enemies! RAZGRIZ!" As wires and armour are torn away, seeking 'tendrils' of magically enhanced wind seep into the holes, digging out vital components and ripping free other devices, tearing it apart from inside, while the wolf works on the outside.

Kotone's shots help seal its deathknell, the robot vanishing into another code spiral that surges upwards. "GAME! FINAL ROUND! BOSS ROUND!" The stage lifts again, and this time, a MASSIVE thirty foot tall robot, blue eyes, white and red colour scheme and huge 'wings' on its back that flare with booster flames. It floats, much like a DCC would just above the floor. It speaks! "Uwahahahaha! Foolist! You come to face Us, and YOU return after being so soundly trounced last time? Come then! We shall send you back to the ground, in pieces!"

Bunnabelle's devices would start going off like christmas trees in the middle of a fourth of july display. This is the source. This is the last one.
Lexicon     Screens floating around Bunnabelle all start flashing crimson, prompting a gasp from the undersized program. Standing up, she plants a hand on the scaffold's railing and points, "That's it! The source of everything in this floor! All the viruses before were just imperfect copies! Moreover... it's being affected by alien code!" Slamming her other hand down, she leans as far forward as she dares, "Find the foreign code and separate it from the core virus! It's just like Mariwogeus!"

Lexicon tilts her head forward, baring her teeth, "Of fuckin' course... Just like the Pack Fenris." Switching her axe to one hand, the DCC thrusts her hand aside, "Spread out! I don't want him to have an opportunity to hit more than one at a time with his weapons!"

She then points at the robot directly, "As for you, trash heap! You bested a Drive Core Controller? No offense but she's a magician! Try hitting someone with real defenses!" That point flips over and she makes the 'come on' gesture again, "Come at me! Unless you're as /scared/ as you are a /tacky piece of shit/!"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa looks for a moment as now something else joins the party. She just kinda of stares.

"A round four?! A Round four?"

She raises her gun now and she start to run and she'll use the terraint to leap into the air double jumping into the air at the apex of this she opens fire again and the grene flame keep comming. She hopes to keep the thing busy while Lexicon mashes taunt so damn hard she'll have to thank her later, and she grimaces great there's decoy bodies more or less to worry about now with this one.

"Maiari you got any ideas?!"
Miari Miari gazes up at final Virus... boggling the moment that it proves vocal. "Ah... if you were gifted with speech, surely you can put it towards something that does not sound like it came from a children's story... BE SILENT." Tiny hints of green flame leak from her mouth, and the robot - and ONLY the robot - will feel the order mentally slamming into it like a battering ram.

Of course, she doesn't expect it to really do that, but the psyche blast might trip it up and give it pause. And that's all she needs.

All this action seems to have stoked an aura of power from Miari, because as she raises an arm in preparation her skin is cast in a strange light. The faintest golden glow encompasses her body, licking at the air like flame... but she ducks down like a performer readying to dance, gestures with her fan... "If the cheesy lines didn't make it obvious, this creature's intelligence is called into question... Hound, go give the markswoman some help."

With another howl, the Hound darts over towards Kotone and keeps pace. It's clearly playing bodyguard for if things go bad for her.

... and with one final upward flick, Cataclysm ensues.

Blades of wind form from nothing around the robot and slash at its arms. Tangling vines burst from the ground to try and spear through its legs. A pillar of flame erupts from the ground to drill at its center. The air sizzles and crackles as lightning joins the assault, followed by spears of rock springing from the ground and high pressure jets of water materializing out of nothing to pelt the thing. All Five Elements at once are blasting at it in quick succession...
Sanae Kochiya The two are once again dispatched, though the priestess at this point would be lying if she said she wasn't starting to get a bit worn down from the power expenditure of the previous floors. Maybe that's what got to Diamond Soul, in the end. Regardless, the platform once again elevates, this time delivering them to what is proclaimed to be the 'final' challenge. This one is a bit different, though. For one thing, it actually speaks. That's less vital than it seems to be cognizant of the situation and surroundings, which is a bit more unusual among viruskind. At least, the ones Sanae has encountered. It's also a lot more interesting design than the others, and Sanae stares intensely for a few moments. Her eyebrows furrow thoughtfully. "Uhm...Mister Robot," she assumes an inherent masculinity, anyway. "Do you have a cockpit, or are you the kind where the kid stands back with a remote control?"

Everyone else is already itching for a fight, though, so it seems she might never get a truly satisfying answer. With a slight look of defeat and a rolling of her shoulders, she breathes out a sigh, "Well, I guess that's how it is. This is the Tower, so chances are you're not even a real robot." She once again holds her wand. This time, rather than tracing a shape in the air with it, her own control over the wind forms a cutting blade of intense pressure around it, enough that it is actually, easily visible, even with this lighting. All of this is also, perhaps thankfully, distracting her from how 'wrong' those green flames would feel, otherwise. Something to talk about later, perhaps.

With Miari effectively launching the offensive, Sanae follows suit. She bounds forward, propelled with an extra spring to her step, courtesy her power. It does open her up to more direct retribution than in the previous floors, but she wants to close the distance anyway. Provided she gets close enough, she begins hacking away with her improvised wind cutter. She is definitely *not* a skilled swordsman, but that never stopped anyone in the System.
Theurgus     Theurgus steels herself as the Boss speaks. She shifts her weight, and strikes a pose, covering part of her face with a palm and spread fingers, looking three the gaps at the foe. "You defeated me before, but now my allies have arrived. You shall know fear before you die. I am Theurgus, The Mad Magician." With that, still in the pose, she transforms, engulfed in a chromatic pillar of light, circled by code, before emerging. Her processors are still busted up, her body still scored by those red marks, but she looks /pissed/. "Lexicon, let us combine our power together!" she suggests, lifting her staff above her head. The marble within shifts to a gleaming blue-white, and the temperature drops rapidly around the robot, turning the water jets from Miari's magework into piercing daggers of ice... but dulling the abilities of the vines and flames. A poor robot... wait, where did it go!? "Hahahaha! Did you think We would stand still for that little display?" seems the one in front was a decoy, another one appearing to one side. "... What!?"

Theurgus, expecting the trick after being subject to it before, has already redirect her magic towards the new position, and quickly prompts Miari to do the same, should she be able to. "Kotone. Lexicon, Sanae, hit it now while it is stuck! Aim for the claws!"

Meanwhile, the robot lifts one of those claw-bound arms, the 'fingers' flexing out to allow the beam cannon to fire. "PATHETIC VERMIN!" it sweeps the beam across the platform, but can only hit a limited cone, leaving Sanae, Kotone and Lexicon in the arc.
Lexicon     Of course. The parts that looked like they didn't fit the rest of the design. The claws on the arms. Lexicon puts two and two together after Bunnabelle's shouting, with a little urging from Theurgus. "--Right!" She lets Miari and Theurgus fixate on limiting the machine's movement while she swings her axe down, embedding the blade into the platform at her feet. This frees up her hands, so that she can pop her knuckles. Her bangs conceal her eyes behind shadow as she winds herself up, "I got somethin' just for you, ass-brain. A super-dreadnought axe blow that'd even split a DCC in half!"

She snatches her axe up in the same motion that she launches with, wrenching her weapon free. The robot's beam cannon envelops her, but she makes no attempt at defense, casting a long shadow as she pushes her way against the stream, hauling her axe back with a furious scream, "SCHWERES ZERSTOREN!"

Resources erupt around her axe's blade, extending into a rather enormous crescent of silver-white light, Ice-aspected and trailing mist and snowflakes as she charges. Hauling this over her own head, Lexicon unleashes her war cry as she brings it down on the pinned machine, "HAAAAH!"
Sanae Kochiya Cone attacks are so easy to avoid! ...except when you've closed to melee range and the start of the cone is a significant swath of where you can maneuver. Sanae notes the charging up, and knows at this point that she's almost certainly going to get hit, but that matters to her less than delivering her intended payload. She had, gasp, an ulterior motive! "Right," she calls back! The immobility afforded by the other casters allows her to more easily pull off her true intention. Now that she's close, practically right in the face of this robot's head unit, she seems to drop something. Or rather, she withdraws her hand and leaves it hovering there, like a mote of dust. As she rapidly tries to draw back out of firing range, as well as any friendly fire that might also be incoming, what started as a small mote begins to expand...

Like a binary star resolving into two distinct objects, within a powerful enough telescope, what was seemingly a single, small speck becomes three larger ones, a curious dark energy forming as the barely contained force crackles out like electrical arcs. Eventually, once they reach a critical point, they explode, possibly point blank if the robot hasn't managed to free himself by that time, but it's quite an expansive force, regardless. It doesn't do direct damage, but a sort of metaphysical sort, like all bomb techniques in Gensokyo. It was originally designed to kill large fields of enemy fire, but maybe it'll have some effect on a Tower virus, too.

Unfortunately, the long lead up time really is leaving her rather exposed here. She's mentally braced to get the Theurgus treatment. No offense Theurgus.
Miari Miari purses her lips in clear displeasure at this deception. And her eyes narrow once more at the use of 'We.' It does take her a moment to catch on to Theurgus' shift of attention, but Miari executes a swift leap away to reposition, strangely falling no faster than a feather would...

"You are so annoying... I'll waste no more breath on you."

With a thunderous crack of energy her aura flares brilliantly once more, billowing outwards in a corona of purple, orange, red, and blue shades around a golden core. A mark blazes on her forehead - a half-filled golden circle - glittering rather prettily...

But this lightshow is little more than a distraction, really. For she brings her hands together and extends them, palms outwards... as her Anima roils and shivers...

    "Death of Obsidian Butterflies!"

Tens of thousands of motes of light glimmer in her aura... then rain down like machine-gun fire in a wide column that simply engulfs the robot's entire body and then some. A noise like crashing waves fills the battlefield, though it is only the sound of... exactly what she just said it was.

A seemingly infinite bullet-downpour of high-speed, ornately carved, butterflies... made out of sharp obsidian.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone is fast but can't dodge for ever as she gets caught in the arc of the incomming beam. She's knocked out of her current jump she goes flying hgitting the ground with a sound no body of flesh should mak on implact. She may also have left a small impact crater, she's smouldering a bit and she's clearly been hurt as she attempts to get back up to her feet.

"I had...enough of this."

Kotone does not seem happy. As the next spell by Mari is cast? Kotone just opens up trying to enmpty what's left of the clip on the hulking terror that has basically set her more or less on fire for a moement.
Theurgus     To say the robot wasn't expecting to have to /take/ that withering fire, let alone so much power being thrown its way is an understatement.

It struggles, it fights, and blue hexagonal shields try to mitigate incoming damage, but it's just too much. Sanae's bomb explodes in its face, leaving it reeling for Lexicon's full body axeblow. Kotone's shots strike and explode, causing the robot's entire body to flicker and become 'fuzzy'. The obsidian butterflies pry one of those claws loose, sending it spinning off to land near Kotone's feet, a strange bracelet of some kind with an angled, horn-like motif.

"Destiny... you cannot... destroy... my..." says the robot, as Theurgus appears above the other claw, jamming her staff between the anchor point and the arm, and using all her strength to pry it off. "DESTINYYYYY!"

As the claw spins away, turning into a matching bracelet near Lexicon's feet, the robot itself shatters into voxels, before vanishing and a flash of code and light... a miniature version of it standing on a little plinth.

"GAME OVER! THANKS FOR PLAYING! PLAYER ONE! PLAYER TWO! PLAYER THREE! PLAYER FOUR! PLAYER FIVE! WINNER!"
Lexicon     Silver Soul recoils from her own axe attack, expecting further counterattack. It doesn't come, however, as the machine comes apart instead from the focused fire. Panting, she descends to a platform whle the enemy de-rezzes into its component parts. Her bodysuit is blackened in places, and her Processors are charred. One of her hip units spits out white sparks every few seconds, while one of her wings is almost completely missing. Parts of her bare skin are likewise damaged, stripped bare and glowing red with damaged code.

She hefts her axe onto her shoulder, rubbing the side of her nose with her thumb, "Yeah, your destiny can go to hell." the noise at her feet gets her attention with a glance, "Hm?" And she crouches to collect the strange bracer. It's given a cursory examination, turned over in her hand, "...Huh..."

In the stands...
"Ah!" Bunnabell leans on the railing, pointing, "Those are more of the artifacts I need for my research!" Struggling, she extricates herself from the scaffolds making up the grandstands, then scurry-jumps across platforms, "It has the same data type as the artifact from Mariwogeus..!" Coming to a stop near the DCC, she draws her hands up to her chest, "Please, I must have these to continue my research into the Tower."

Lexicon glances at the smaller program, then hands her bracer artifact over, "I can't even use this, so some good should come of it like this." Glancing up, she scans the others with red eyes, "There were two, weren't there?"
Miari Miari finally touches down with all the grace of a dancer in her step...and deftly snaps her fan shut and tucks it away. The Hound bounds over to her, the spellwork that holds it together apparently still holding strong.

Her gaze falls across the distant bracer...

A gaze that's studying its aura just as certainly as she was the robots earlier.

"This could've done without the strange announcer, but that was a fun little excursion! I know more about what to expect next time too..." Strangely she's not short of breath despite all the excitement.

She's not even the least bit sweaty.

"This entire place... it MUST have been engineered. Yet nobody knows its purpose...?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is sizzling a bit but she's surive her own gun has stoppped with the strange green fire but it makes a strange noise as hse tries to pull the clip out. She just stares at it but is distracted by the bracer which falls near her and she pauses to pick it up and take a look at it.

"Huch what is this? Looks like it might be usedul and what the heck did you do to my gun Maiari i think it broke..."
