Yunomi Stadler     Well, it was a bit of a spectacle. A few goblins keeping onlookers back, an auburn-haired, absolutely miserable, slight-looking human girl in her late teens physically dragging the shorter -- but more muscular -- Yunomi Stadler. The latter has an arm looped over the former's shoulders, her hand over her stomach, where the blue and red of her typical Izzet colors has stained much darker. Her armor's singed, her hair is smoking, face carrying soot and the plain-as-day outline on her still smiling face, freckles barely seen beneath the grime on her cheeks.

THe goblins, long of nose and ears (and ear hair) are forming a loose peremeter, with "Back Up" -- the auburn-haired former Guildless 'field promoted' to Izzet during 'that whole business with the Nexus' easing Yunomi down against the stairs of the guild gate.

"/Here/?!" she asks incredulously, "Are you absolutely sure? You are *bleeding out of your stomach* any manner of maladies could have occured to your stupid internal organs!"
Rhapsody     HOPEFULLY, the injury wouldn't have a whole lot of chance to exist for very long. A shadow is cast over the area, darting from one side to the other, before it starts to circle downward. A glance upward would find a familiar shadow incidentally circling around the sun, but not entirely on purpose. When this dragon lands, its white hide and scaleless form makes it obvious just who it is. Especially with the row of red scales atop her head.

Once down, a Simic Mender quickly hops off the dragon and moves through the perimiter. Any sort of refusal would get the Izzet's guildmaster to loose an angry roar as she moves to follow. Someone is in -no mood- to deal with the games goblins and other mischievous races may try to play just now. Tanukis not included. Past the goblins, she'd look to them both, "What happened???"
Theurgus Something odd, even by Ravnica standards, appears from out of the Warpgate. A tiny woman sat atop an open book, her wings flapping rapidly as she flies into the area. She has a face like thunder, but it softens when she sees the situation. She floats down closer to head height to a normal human. "Indeed, what happened here?"
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi watches as the dragon circles the sun, her eyebrows lifting curiously, eyes squinting "Back Up" has never seen the Guildmaster's true form. She gawks, unintentionally, and takes a step back.

The goblins know *FAR BETTER* than to get in the Simic's way, and they scatter off to the side, wide-eyed. Well, it *was* Rhapsody's father's favored student who got injured, no telling what might happen next. "Move along, move along please, nothing to see. Simply a minor on-the-job injury. Worst that'll happen is paperwork." they snort out, making people who had stopped first to gawk at the idiot Izzet who insisted on walking injured and continued to watch the dragon make an appearance hurrying to catch up with their days. Most don't notice the tiny wingged woman as she flew through the gate and made her way towards the Izzet League, though a few Elf-looking ladies did give a curious look before moving on, beginning to sing old songs -- though not as old, perhaps, as the fairy.

"Easy, Rhaps." Yunomi replies casually, reclining back against the stairs, giving a smile up at the dragon as if it would placate her, attempting to wave off the injury.

"Inspecting a faulty transition attached to a steam line, we were assaulted!" Back-Up states, standing stiffly as if at attention, though her arm has soot against the red.

"It was a misunderstanding." Yunomi counters, "The transition was further out than I'd intended to go and I didn't give the proper warning to let others know there'd be utility work in the area and -- oh?" Yunomi pauses, glancing up at the oncoming book. "Who's this? Do we have guests? Rhaps, I would have washed up."
Rhapsody     Favored student, favored individual, there's a lot of 'favored's' that could apply to the Offworld Apprentice. At her easing, Rhapsody actually does lose a bit of her frustration, reverting to the form so many are familiar with in a soft flash of light before moving up beside the mender that she had brought along. Streams of green and blue start to flow here and there as they do their work.

"Misunderstanding.. with who?" She's assuming Gruul, but who knows in this city? Guildless could be just as dangerous as any other guild, nevermind any guild caught in surprise could be just as dangerous. "Honestly, you should have a team... or a bigger team... one or the other," she says, some concern still on her voice. When the 'visitor' is pointed out, "Oh! Right. This is... Charta, I believe? She's an ally along with Theurgus. She is very .. .. .. Izzet."
Theurgus     Charta says, "Indeed. I am Charta, Oracle of the Diamond City... I am less.... 'Izzet' than Lady Diamond Soul, however one must be capable of holding their own, in a magical sense." the fairy-like woman floats lower. "It is good to finally meet you, though I wish it were in better circumstances."
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi Stadler watches as the Simic mender worked. The healer's magics never ceased to amaze her. From her bag, an orb about the size of a large orange flashing with red and blue light across its patterned, ornate bronze skin begins to float and circle around her, worriedly, making odd beeping noises at Yunomi quietly, then turning about it makes an orbit around Charta and Rhapsody (and gives a happy beep at Rhapsody) before returning, and hovering somehwere over Yunomi's shoulder.

The flippant Izzet gives a cocky smile.

"Does it matter?" Yunomi inqures, "We took each other by surprise, I threw up a shield to cover the team that came with me," she winced a moment, "Just... not enough shield to go around. My primary concern was the safety of the team. If that bolt'd hit the transition, we'd not have the chance to walk our way up. How do you do, Charta. Yunomi Stadler, Izzet League Nexus Personell. I wish it were under better circumstances as well. I'm beginning to feel a bit crowded, not to mention this is hardly the way I like to meet people." she motions to her torn red and blue clothes, the sooted armor, a broken brass button here and there. "Hardly a good impression."

'Back-Up' facepalms. "You were *nearly killed*. Guildmaster, she's playing down events. The ugly scourages recognized her and decided they wanted her head."

"I'm rather attached to mine." Yunomi mutters.
Rhapsody     "It's never really good to surprise any of the guilds, or even guildless, to be fair," Rhapsody starts, taking a seat on the stairs. As for the left over onlookers, "Go on about your business! Otherwise, I'll have Thianel going through the efficiency reports with a magnifying glass!" That should, hopefully, leave everyone with a little more room to breathe. A nod is given to Charta's greeting before the dragon sends a curious glance to'Back-Up' "Gruul, Guildless, Golgari?" ... "Why do all the groups that dislike us start with G?"
Theurgus     "At least in The System, we only have Viruses to deal with... and the occasional conflict over the System Hub with the other Drives." says Charta softly. "I cannot imagine how your society can function if major parts of it are constantly in conflict."
Yunomi Stadler     The threat of having their expendatures looked at sends a worse chill through the crowd than an icy wind, and they scatter. "Bad luck, shoulda warned you before throwing in with a tanuki." Yunomi gives a grin, and at last lets her soft ears pop out of her hair, fromw here they had been pinned back in pain, and gives a wiggle of a bushy tail, tipped with black as if she had dipped it in ink. "Don't forget that 'D' one though." Yunomi quietly states, her eyes closing half way as she physically relaxes. Pain no longer courses through her body. The red and blue in her hair perks up in tone dramatically.

"Eh. Conflict is part of life." she states softly, scooching back a bit to sit up, giving the Simic Mender a smile, and she brings her knees up, laying her arms on them casually. Her hands both have burn scars, though the left hand is far worse off than the right.

"I'd wager it wasn't Guildless, unless they've gotten a bit more organized than the last time I encountered them."
Rhapsody     "That's the trick to Ravnica, Chara," Rhapsody begins, adding to what Yunomi had already said. "When the city was founded, the Paruns knew that in order for a city to bind together, it needs a little bit of trouble from time to time. When it was founded, the nine known guilds agreed if one turned, the others would stand against it. The tenth guild, the D Yunomi mentioned, has always been the antagonist and the shadows in the dark. The enemy we need so that peace doesn't turn to stagnation. Progress needs a reason to proceed. Necessity is the mother of invention. Be it serving people, or protecting them. If the city was a utopia, nothing would ever change." A little history lesson for the new comer, one that is still fresh in the Guildmaster's memory, taught by a father, teacher, or sibling.

"Hrm. Well, either way, I'll get some more people moving through here to see if we can figure out if they're tresspassing or if a map of ours needs redrawn," she muses sighing, before turning to Yunomi again. "What is wrong with me," she mutters, "I didn't even ask if you're alright," despite the Mender and the clear indications that Yunomi would be fine.
Theurgus     Charta blinks. "It's, Charta, actually." she lightly corrects. "Please use my proper name... and for Resource sake, do not pick up Lady Diamond Soul's quirk of calling me Grimoire."
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi just gives a bright grin, the side of her lips curling into something that was almost a smirk to the dragon, but was full of warmth, eyes with that teasing look of adoration as her lips quirked. She gives a breath out, and waved her hand, "I already told you I'd be fine, Guildmaster. No need to concern yourself with where to find my replacement yet. Though I'd reccomend Back-Up."

Back-Up looks UTTERLY HORRIFIED at the idea of being Yunomi's replacemet.

Yunomi herself gives a smile to Charta, and draws herself up, slowly, testing her muscles. The auburn-haired girl looks like she might faint.

"So. Diamond Soul, huh? Sounds like one of those... ah..." she snaps her fingers a moment, it's on the tip of her tongue, "... well. What Veridian was. Is. Complicated." Yunomi winces a moment. She breathes out, and then gives a bright smile. "In any case -- big computer city?"
Rhapsody     Whoops! Error. Error. Caught causing an error. "Er, sorry, Charta. That has been happening a lot lately. No offense meant," she apologizes before catching sight of Yunomi's change of expression. "Still, I'm glad you're alright." Replacement?! A look is sent toward Back-Up. "Maybe.." it's possible the dragon caught the horrified expression, her smirk almost feral before thinking about the drive system, "Ah, I was there to see the tower once. Little dinos and a huge decending wall. It was ... very different."
Theurgus     Charta ahs! Perking up. "Drive Core Controller. Her name is Theurgus, I have known her for many cycles now. She is the successor to MAGUS. the previous DCC and a very old and dear friend of mine. Sadly, she is no longer with us, her Data returned to the Drive about a terracycle ago."

The concepts of 'Cycle' and 'Terracycle' roughly translate to 'Year' and 'Decade', but not exactly. "Ah yes, Lady Rhapsody was rather instrumental in helping clear that Tower floor. We have had several incidents with it again recently."
Yunomi Stadler     'Back Up' looks like she might faint, and she covers her face in horror, squeaks something akin to 'I'll check on you later' and bolts.

Yunomi, now that she's not being watched, collapses back down with an 'oomph', exhales and listens to Charta. "Theurgus, eh?" she smiles, and then her expression changes. Her eyes draw a little downward at the phrase 'returned to the Drive'. She purses her lips. Her shoulders sag slightly, the expressive ears atop her head shifting around and then forcing themselves back to the front.

"Yeah. Rhaps is pretty great. I've been a friend of her family for a while." she gives a smile, but it's less bright than before.
Rhapsody     Mm. Rhapsody recognizes the concept, "Ah, I'm sorry to hear that, Charta. We've all experienced that in our lives, and some more recently than others. I'm glad you have Theurgus to continue working there. It helps to keep important ones close when such things happen," she muses, thoughts rushing around in her head, but not truly feeling like elaborating further. A glance is given the Mender. If only certain wounds were as easy to heal. She turns back to the faerie again, "I really appreciate you coming out. It's nice to know our allies and friends are always close. I'm sorry about not heading back to the drive lately when things have happened. It's been fairly busy around the Izzet Sector lately. New divisions to direct for a lot of us," she admits, curious suddenly. "How are things with yours? I've heard positive things so far," she asks Yunomi, refering to the Nexus Division.
Theurgus     "It is perfectly alright Lady Rhapsody. We have many resources from which to draw from, especially within the Concord." replies Charta to Rhapsody, before she notices the darkened expression on Yunomi's face. "Oh my... I apologize if my words have stirred up bad memories... Returning to the Drive is a normal occurance when a Program has reached the end of its Runtime... I did not mean to cause distress."
Yunomi Stadler     Some wounds leave deeper scars than others. Yunomi's distant a moment, her eyes dropping to somewhere around the middle of the crowd bustling about them, the original grouping having dispersed and new curious onlookers sparing the group a glance before moving on. She blinks, her ears pricking up as she looks between Rhapsody and Charta (and the curious Simic, who makes as if to scan her for more injuries but she gives him a smile and a soft 'I'm fine, thank you.' before she glances up to the two.

"Nah, no distress. Just thought of something, that's all. Sometimes I get forgetful in my advanced age." she jokes.
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi doesn't answer how well her divisions going. Purposefully. Mostly because she just got a hole in her stomach, which really puts a damper on her whole division.
Rhapsody     ... Huh. Well. "If you're saying that, then my trouble with names is really gonna be an issue someday," Rhaps says, mostly wondering aloud if that'll stick around or not. Time will tell! "It's an often changing place here. I'm lucky to keep up with current events in the Izzet Sector. If I tried to keep up with the entire city... which is an entire -world-... I think I'd go mad." Headtilt. "Considering the guild, maybe that isn't such a bad thing," she considers further. "Nah. The last thing I need to start reading is how much money the Orzhova are conning every day.."
Theurgus     "Oh, please do not get me started on administrative things. I have enough to deal with when Theurgus refuses to do her proper duty as a DCC." huffs Charta, getting all grumpy and folding her arms over her little chest, wings aflutter.
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi guiltly turns her head away from Rhapsody, and rubs the back of her neck. Her ears flit backwards, and she gives a sheepish look.

"Heh. PRetty sure if we had to do more paperwork, innovatio would cease. It'd be a perfect city for some." she jokes brightly, and she draws herself up a bit. "Or we could eschew paperwork entirely. Be totally rebellious."
Rhapsody "Oh to dream of a world without paperwork. The Senate would come banging on the front door demanding we resume... after filling out about 20 forms giving themselves permission to do so and about 10 more that would include opinions on if they should, shouldn't, or alternative actions. Nevermind the amount of MAIL WE'D GET," she cuts herself off, realizing that ramble could go on for a while. "Eh heh, yeah, I hate paperwork, I think that's a requirement of being a magewright, maybe.. Thianel doesn't mind it.." and then she shakes her head, shrugs, and tries to dislodge the thought from her mind.

As Yunomi starts to rise, the Guildmaster and the mender look to her, "Feeling better than earlier?" the dragon asks, concern starting to fade, but it won't be gone until those injuries aren't visible anymore, most likely.
Theurgus     "To the contrary, I adore paperwork. Organizational skills are the hallmark of a great leader, and the administrative acumen of their staff. Being the Oracle means I must be at the top of my own 'game' for the rest of the administative staff to function properly!" says Charta, puffing up proudly.
Yunomi Stadler     "I'll need a new bit of armoring done is all. Seems I go through it so quick these days." Yunomi replies, half-attentive. She's watching something, and then the moment's gone, and she returns, all smiles.

"Heh. My dad's a big fan of paperwork. Always new forms, new codes, something to sign off on. Makes me pretty fortunate that I got his knack for getting it done, even if it's not my strong point." Yunomi smiles. "So, you're an Oracle. Do you divine information from other sources?" she asks Charta, and she turns to give a quiet smile to Rhaps, and she reaches out and taps her toe against the dragon's ankle.
Rhapsody     Seems the dragon just doesn't like paperwork. "Ryxinel will be happy to get that made," she quips before listening to Charta's proud decree. "Well, everyone needs a few people that are good with the forms. I'm ... getting there. I just .. bleh.." Poke? Glance aside. Well, she did seem better, now. Tailcross. Back to Charta, "I'm sure Theurgus is glad to have you. I'm curious what else you do? It can't just be paperwork," she says, adding to Yunomi's inquiry.
Theurgus     Charta blinks. "An Oracle is an honorary title. We do not pluck information from thin air, no. But it is our purpose to correlate and codify incoming data into a usable and consise form for the DCC and other staff to perform their duties efficiently." she replies to Yunomi.

Charta then looks to Rhapsody. "Well, I am in charge of the Locus Defense Force, providing them with orders, patrol routes and updates on viral consentrations." she adds. "Think of me as the lynchpin just below Theurgus' overall position."
Yunomi Stadler     "Ah, I see. You're the head Administrative Assistant in charge of Keeping All Things In Place." she leans back, and glances up to the dragon. "She's a Pepper." and then she leans forward again, and she gives a wry little smile, turning her attention back to Charta. "Or a slave driver. Though somedays, it's hard to tell which is which." she states, rubbing her chin thoughtfully as she eyeballed the little fairy on the book. "So is the book part of your appearance then? Or just a mode of transport?"
Rhapsody     A light laugh escapes the dragon, "I think you're right, though I wouldn't dare call Thianel or Rizix that," she replies before turning back to Chara, waiting to hear the faerie's answer.
Theurgus     Charta blinks. "Ah, the book is the History of the System. I was created by MAGUS. as a kind of... historical archive... I have, unfortunately, not been able to record the history of the other Drives, but have a detailed account of the Diamond Drive from its first nanocycle(Day) to this very moment." she explains.
Yunomi Stadler     "Huh. Neat." Yunomi states, leaning back on her elbows. Nothing more regular than the eared-and-tailed girl reclining on the front steps of her neighborhood with her dragon and a book pixie, while reeking of sewer and blood. Regular afternoon, actually. Minus the explosions, so a rather nice afternoon!

"So even when you're not there, are events recorded, or is the log updated upon return?" Yunomi asks, curious as she leans forward again, settling her hands on her knees.
Rhapsody     "A whole history? Right there? Huh," something about her expression says 'I thought it'd be bigger'. A content Guildmaster stretches out a bit, then settles on the stairs as before, not even bothered by nearby scents. Honestly, the Izzet deal with so much every day, becoming noseblind to things is probably a very learned, and useful talent. A thought occurs, "We should invite Charta and Theurgus to try out some of the local fare, sometime," back to Charta, "If people of the drive enjoy food?"
Theurgus     Charta ponders a bit. "Well, I never really considered it... this is one of the very few times I have left the Drive for any length of time." she remarks. "Perhaps it does a little of both, I am uncertain." she concludes, tapping her chin with a finger.

Rhapsody's question draws her attention back to the now. "Oh, yes. We must eat to survive, just like any other being." she replies. "I am sure I could find some space in the schedule to make an official visit of state or some such. Lady Diamond Soul has come to aid here before, with that Transreliquat incident a while ago."
Yunomi Stadler     Yunomi blinks "The Transreliquat incident? Rhaps, what has--" she begins, and she narrows her eyes, and purses her lips a moment before she rubs the back of her head again, her ears pinning back. She makes a disagreeable noise, a huff of breath out her nose as her tail frizzles, and then she gives a noncomittal shrug. "Well, Official Visits are a good thing, keep up relations, have a lot of fun doing so, explore strange, new worlds and boldly go where a Dragon occasionally has occasion to go before."
Rhapsody     The guildmaster blinks, glancing over at the Tanuki with a quizzical look. Something wasn't right, and now she's starting to wonder more than earlier. "I'd be happy to explain it? It was ... Well, it was only something that would happen in the Izzet Sector, but sadly the thing got out into a guildless district but we managed to contain it.." It's clear she's a bit concerned again.
Yunomi Stadler     "Mmm." Yunomi replies, distractedly, shifting about. Her ears are flicking back and forth, and she draws herself up slowly. "Well, Charta, it's been a pleasure to meet your aquaintance. I shant cause you to tarry any longer than required." the shifter gives a smile, and a bow to the Oracle. "Travel safely back to your home, Charta. Take care," and Yunomi abruptly turns, and goes to make her way up the stairs to the gates.
Rhapsody     The guildmaster rises similarly, "Thank you again for your assistance, and your quick response, Charta. Take care, and give Tehurgus my regards," she offers before turning to follow after Yunomi.
