Nagato     Miles off the coast of Brazil sits Nagato's taskforce in the day, sun shining off the ocean like a mirror. Those involved with the Bootleg Fleet gathered in whatever conveyance they have with the Battleship as the forefront. Nagato pulls a note out of her jacket, "Strange. There's nothing out here." she mutters, "Kashi wanted to meet us out here, so be on guard everyone." she comments, "Equipment checks and everything, prepare for the worst, hope for the best." she looks between everyone, "If this is a call out message from the Bootleg Fleet, we'll meet them in kind."

Meanwhile, a mile off the coast, bubbles break the surface as eyes... multiple pairs of them... peek up from under the water. The ones under get a non verbal advancement message from the lead, glowing eyes under the ocean's waves as they slowly approach the group. It'll take some time for them to get there, however, plenty of time for the group to prepare for what's coming.
Shigure     Shigure stands near Nagato, looking out across the water with her blue eyes faintly glowing as she looks out into the distance. She frowns softly, but doesn't report what could easily have been light glinting off the wave caps.

Yuudachi is running around the deck, a bundle of energy waiting to be unleashed against the Bootleg fleet. "Poi, POI! Poipoipoi!" she singsongs to herself.
Reina Kinney Having finally obtained a boat of her own, Reina Kinney stands near Nagato, watching with her for the time being and listening to her speak. Once she finishes speaking, Reina nods and salutes. "Understood, Admiral," She says respectfully. "If there's one thing I've come to learn, it's that you have to expect nothing and be ready for anything while preparing for the worst."

Reina pauses a moment to stretch her arms before running a hand through her hair. "Some think that sounds like you're being paranoid. I say it's just all a part of being alert and active when things can easily go wrong at the drop of a hat." What Reina doesn't mention is how Laia drilled those types of lessons into her so many times they still linger in her head from time to time.
Yuna Kagurazaka Rather than riding another vessel, Yuna is here in her Kagurazaka-class light cruiser gear, alternating between 'standing' on the water near Nagato, and cruisnig back and forth - essentially pacing, although far more sedately than Yuudachi's antics. Given that this mission seems to involve the Bootleg Fleet, the Matrix of Light isn't far away - Elner is sticking close to Kagurazaka, constantly scanning the area, while Jiina, Marina, and Erina are just on the other side of the nearest warpgate, the better to possibly bring the element of surprise to bear.

If they need it, that is. Yuna is hoping that they won't - that this will be a straightforward naval engagement, or that if she needs to engage in land battle, her basic Light Suit will be enough. "Given the kind of surprises we've gotten before," she comments, "starting with the fact that the 'Bootleg Fleet' *exists*, better to -"

"Yuna," Elner interrupts, "check sonar returns. I'm picking up possible signatures in the water, heading this way from shorewards."

Kagurazaka blinks, 'skating' around to where her fleetmates won't be between her and the possible movement Elner mentioned. Not merely 'possible,' it turns out. "Yeah ... company's on the way. Not sure if they're trying to maneuver for a surprise attack, or just trying to be generally quiet," Kagurazaka reports. Then she pauses, "Not sure how many, either, but definitely more than one."
Nagato     Nagato hmms a bit, looking between Shigure's frown, Yuudachi's endless energy, Reina's concern and Yuna's protectiveness, the battleship gives a firm nod. She didn't have much to fear when it came to effectiveness of this taskgroup, two destroyers, a cruiser, Reina and herself. "We'll give it a bit longer." she comments, "Before we approach shore to see if we can find this person." there's a light stretch from the battleship, interrupted from Elner's concern.

"Sonar contacts? Shigure, Yuudachi? Can you confirm?" comes Nagato's own question.

Meanwhile, six things under the water approach, almost confirming submarine contacts to Sonars and soon... the telltale sign of torpedos launched. Rapid trails of bubbles erupt from the surface towards the battlegroup, eighteen trails in total streak quickly towards them!
Kotone Yamakawa So they are off near Brazil, it's a place Kotone had long wished to visit, but this isn't a for fun trip. Today is all business given they were dealing with the Bootleg fleet, she's already suited up and was on the water ready to go. She had been thankful for all the time the Fleet had put into training her, when it came down to it. She was in light carrier gear and keeping pace with Yuna, she already had a scout plane ready to go.

She fell into formation with Yuna keeping alert for trouble who knows just what are the Bootleg's masters up to right now? She doesn't know and she's quite concerned.

<<Yamakawa here, scouts going out.>>

She launchers several of the scout planes now to start chekcing for things from the skies.
Shigure     Yuudachi just merrily leaps over the siderail, her Rigging appearing on her back as she falls, until she lands with a plume of salt water. Her eyes flare red, and an active PING radiates out from her. "Confirmed contact, poi~." she chirps.

Shigure likewise hops over the railing, getting her sonar into the water as well. "Tracking, six conta--- Torpedoes!" Her soft voice gains an urgency. "Evade, all ships evade!" but never gets any louder, though it seems to carry further, somehow.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Torpedoes in the water!" Kagurazaka calls out, roughly at the same time as Shigure's warning. She wastes no time in launching torpedoes of her own, setting them to detonate ahead of the incoming enemy torpedoes. How many of them she'll take out *that* way, she isn't sure, but probably not enough ...

Which is why she also flings some depth charges ahead of her, hurling the soda-can-sized explosives as far as she can, behind the launch of her counter-torpedoes. She gets another pair ready as well just in case she can take out additional torpedoes - but then, given the inbound contacts are submarines, she may need to use them offensively rather than defensively ...
Reina Kinney Meanwhile, Reina's already in the water, boat and all (OK, it's a transport craft, but still!) When she hears that there's torpedoes coming, she's about to react, but then she sees that Yuna's already taken care of them herself, and she gives a thumbs up to her. "Not bad! I'm still getting accustomed to this, but don't worry, I'm GUARDIANS! I can do anything!" She smirks a little as she gets accustomed to being more directly on the water, before attempting to get a better look in the direction the torpedoes came from.
Leyanne From the direction of Rio de Janero, there's a new surface contact. Although, it's barely in contact with the surface; the wooden shark-faced hull of the Free Martian Ship 'Leeroy Jenkins' skims across the water with its gas turbines at full bore, sometimes launching into the air for quite some distance with all three props spinning dramatically as one of the crew hangs over the side to catch the rush. Yes, they are all as insane as Leyanne... else why would they be on her crew?

The 80ft PT boat's BOFORS gun is pointed forwards and strapped down, to clear the rear deck - the space usually kept clear to allow the big cannon to traverse has been filled up with two stacks of six depth charges, held down by quick-release straps and ready for deployment. A cable leads from each big metal drum to the control station, ready to set the fuses.

In the driver's cab, Leyanne grins, double-checking that all three throttles are pushed against the stops. "FMS Leeroy Jenkins, we have friendlies on radar."
Nagato     As the only ship here who doesn't have any ASW capability, Nagato moves to the back, scanning the shoreline as guns raise. Kotone's scouts confirm the presence of underwater enemies, thankfully for being a light carrier, she has ways to assist! Shigure's and Yuna's warnings do carry to her ears moving a bit to the back of the line, best let the others take care of this. "Alright, line abreast, antisubmarine warfare time. You've trained for this, now let's take care of them!" she at least tries to helpfully embolden spirits..

Yuna's own torpedoes make way, a few mega-splashes of water indicate some hit, but the trails, still numerous, continue on their way. Another surface contact enters, but friendly radars determine it's Leyanne's own craft. "Tiny, join up in line abreast. We're going to advance. Keep watch for torpedoes, if the destroyers can see them from that far out, they're using early model torpedoes, without oxygen."

There's still a minute or two before the rest of the torps end up connecting with the fleet... the Submarines surface a moment, and for those who can see: They look very much human and not like the normal Abyssals that they're used to.
Shigure     Yuudachi forms up beside her sister, reaching behind her to pull a pair of sodacan-size depthcharges from her rigging. She grins a bit. "Lets start a wonderful party, poi~." she says, bloodlust edging into her voice.

Shigure looks at Yuudachi, pulling a pair of depth charges from her own rig as well. "Yuudachi, control yourself." she says to the blonde, her eyes staring into those burning red for a few moments. Needs draw her attention back to the present though, and the destroyer says. "Spread fifteen feet, If they surface, don't hesitate to open fire with your main battery. Submarines are fragile, but dangerous if wounded."
Yuna Kagurazaka That did less to get rid of the incoming torpedoes than Kagurazaka was hoping for, although it *did* thin them out some. She goes ahead and flings the next pair of depth charges into the torpedoes' path, trying to literally blow at least a couple more of them out of the water. Then - as she's forming up with the others in line-abreast formation - she works on evading, gauging the remaining cavitation-trails and positioning herself to slip between them as well as she can.

Only after the enemy torpedoes have passed (or after she's taken whatever hits she's going to) does Kagurazaka launch a full spread of her own torpedoes, this time aimed for the Bootleg subs themselves. And while she's doing that, Elner is starting to compile tactical data to feed to whomever can use it - just updating the fleet girls over a voice channel, but offering a data link to the more advanced Multiversal allies.
Reina Kinney Meanwhile, Reina (and her yet-to-be-named ship) have also spotted the submarines and she scowls a little. "Well, well, it looks like we've got some company. A shame they aren't yellow, but that's another issue." She steadies herself on the water and then smirks a little. "But, then again, this could be fun. After all, I've never really done naval combat before."

Smiling, Reina aims her ship's guns and fires a couple of shots at the submarines. "I'm gonna sink your submarines, but you ain't gonna sink these battleships, whoever's behind this!"
Leyanne The PT boat slows drastically as it joins the formation, shortly after the torpedo attack is complete. The mouse throttles right back as she joins the Fleet Daughters, only just maintaining the boat in a hydroplane. She's got to gently carve the boat to stay with them and not have to use more power than she might otherwise to entrap the air under the hull. "Relax, Leeroy." She mutters, gently patting the throttle sticks. "It won't be for long."

It's actually a rougher ride for the mice; they're being affected a lot more by the state of the sea. Leyanne's screens light up with Elner's datafeed and she nods, pointing forward. "Set torpedoes to signature tracking mode, use the data feed, ready one through four!"

On deck, the mice manning the tubes set fuses and then slide the torpedoes home into their tubes, dogging them shut. When she gets four green lights on her console Leyanne hits the fire button, putting four in the water in reply to the Bootleggers' own.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa gets the report back from her scouts, yere there are under water hostile and she's already got the idea of what she needs to do. IT's time to start deploying torpedo bombers to hopefully flush out the underwater craft which are stalking them. She draws the arrows, she lets them fly and soon there are tiny little torpedo bombers in the air and they are making for the likely subs they will deploy torpedos the moment they can and Kotone is keeping up skating in formation hopefully the addef fire power will help and she keeps her scouts looking out for more of them out there.
Nagato     Nagato spreads out from instruction, her radar still pinging for any other contacts. "Why are they just showing a submarine fleet? Where's everything else?" normally fleets would send others, but this... this is strange.

Depth Charges thrown and launched, the splash of them hitting the water is heard and soon... explosions. They hit something, two of the subs move to surface, looking worse for wear, but as soon as one of them breaks, Reina's own shots nail one right in the head, a mix of black and red seeping from the wound before eyes close... and it stops moving. Enemy Submarine Sunk!

The torpedo bombers from Ko's aircraft dive and make their attack, but with the torpedoes being low depth ones, the other surfaced sub takes the explosive hit from them... there's nothing left of that one. Torpedoes from Kagurazaka and Tiny's own tubes sail through the water, intercepting a few more torpedoes... while two make it through, sailing over the subs... while the enemy torpedoes sail right past the group, barely missing the two Destroyers and Battleship.

It's only a moment before one of them pops up for a breath of air, the mask on it has some peculiar etchings on it, a name perhaps. There's a glare that's given to the fleet before a plane is sent into the air, a simple scout.
Shigure     Shigure continues forward, Yuudachi in close formation. They move to close with the surfacing submarines. They keep a respectable distance, and begin circling the surfaced 'lead' submarine. Shigure's rigging lets out a single fairy, who lifts a massive(For her) set of binoculars, peering at the barely visible 'Bootleg Submarine', trying to see what it says.
Leyanne Leyanne Mace is chomping at the bit. She's not used to cruising 'slowly' and in formation with the other fleet daughters. Leeroy is a fast-attack boat, in her opinion, and it should be going fast and attacking. But, she'll also be the first to admit her grasp of naval tactics is limited at best, and she'll always defer to the Hikari folks on such matters. But then she's granted permission to make her attack run.
"All hands, hold tight, we're applying the beans." Leyanne warns. "Active sonar on, sonar operator, you have control of the charges."

She waits until everyone's confirmed they're holding on and then pushes all three throttles forward. Leeroy's engines whine higher pitched and the boat surges forwards, kicking up a rooster-tail of water. The sonar pings, the mouse at the console calling out corrections to get Leyanne steering the boat over his chosen target. The pings and echoes come closer and closer together as the PT boat closes on its target, though the attack itself is fairly anticlimactic at first; the pinging cuts off, and then six depth charges roll off the back of the boat and commence sinking. Leeroy continues on at speed, de-assing the area as the depth charges sink to the best guess of an Abyssal Bootlegger's depth...

And then detonate. That part is pretty spectacular; hit or miss, great circles of water erupting as the explosion bubble breaches the surface.
Yuna Kagurazaka Kagurazaka looks away from the submarines for a moment, watching that plane take to the air. Anti-air is her usual role, but if it's just a scout then it shouldn't be a particular threat ... and it's not like the Bootleg Fleet doesn't know who they're fighting, at this point, so there's no real intel to deny them. Still, she asks whether to shoot it down, and Nagato says not to bother with it.

At least one of the submarines has been eliminated - sunk or obliterated - and she tries not to dwell overmuch on that knowledge. These aren't really Abyssals, after all - sinking them doesn't mean a chance of them coming back as 'purified' fleet girls. More likely it's going to prove outright fatal to the innocents who were modified into this form. The word to capture the lead submarine, apparently named Kashi, is kind of a relief - but what about the others?

For now, Kagurazaka moves in to support Shigure and Yuudachi. She's not quite sure what capturing will involve ... but with Leyanne carrying out her attack run, Kagurazaka tries not to cringe openly, and hopes that the display helps persuade the Bootleg submarines to just surrender clearly.
Reina Kinney At the same time, while Reina is keeping an eye on the scout plane, she too moves into position to support Shigure and Yuna as well. The order was given to capture, not kill, and while Reina isn't entirely sure what that entails either, she's not about to question it either. She decides to move into a support position and play it by ear as things happen. Yet she still keeps an eye on that plane, just in case it's more than a scout...
Shigure     Shigure radios her intentions, then gestures for the others to hold formation at range, while she jinks slowly inwards, flashing recognition signals to 'Kashi'. "Warden Shigure of the Paladins, I am offering you the chance to surrender under Commonwealth Prisoner of War laws, section three, subsection seven. Any prisoner of war is to be treated with the utmost respect and dignity, and kept in a reasonable confinement until such time as they are to be released. If you surrender, come fully to surface and stow all weapons." she says, getting far too close to a potentially dangerous being.
Kotone Yamakawa The tac channels is active and kotone pays attentiuon but isn't saying much at the moment. She's more focusung on her scout planes tryign to find if there are any other subs out there. Her bombers meanwhile make their attack ones, and seem to score hits. With the results comming back to her she now knows they have less enmies to worry about, but it's far from over as more hostiles are on the way. She's willing to let those who can try to talk the enemy down and she'll pull her bombers off from making attack runs while Shigure attempts to talk some of the enemy down.
Nagato     Leyanne's little Depth Charge run scores quite nicely, the blasts discombobulate two more subs in of themselves, floating upwards in a more knocked out state than dead, fortunately. Leaving two more... the 'Named' and one more backup. Shigure's approach is met with caution, and a torpedo that is sent as a warning shot from Kashi herself. AT least... it was a warning to Shigure. Elner would pick up a strange transmission from the scout: "Captured, send backup"

Kashi, however, looks towards Shigure and shakes her head, pointing to the mask upon her face. It's a rebreather-like device. She thinks a moment, and soon, the torpedo armament gets jettisoned from her, soon giving a nod towards Shigure. Kashi's eyes radiate some humanity... and a pained look, wanting for freedom.

With the Flagship by herself, though, there's twelve torpedoes on an intercept course from six more submarines that make themselves visible.

The fated explosion, however, happens upon Nagato herself. Half of them missing with the other creating a massive water pillar around the Battleship. There's no words, no pained sound... just Nagato, down on her knees in the water, her rigging practically destroyed. "Nnngh."
Shigure     Shigure pulls up short as the torpedo is launched across her path. She narrows her eyes... then sees the torpedoes being jettisoned... "Surrender accepted. Make best possible speed to the back of our line, we will provide cov---."

Nagato is struck by the torpedo spread from more submarines. "Yuudachi, secure the Flagship." she commands to her subbordinate, the blonde wheeling around, leaning so far over her hair trails in the water for a few moments, before she straightens again and pours on speed, moving to screen Nagato.

"Shigure, taking command. Kagurazaka, six more hostiles on approach, Engage and destroy. Leeroy, sweep in and engage. Yamakawa, launch strike wing and destroy hostile contacts." She clenches a fist. "Move now." Shigure herself screens the 'captured' submarine, unfolding her backpack into its tonfa configuration. She aims upwards at the scout plane, and unloads enough flak to make a strike wing think twice about engaging... then pings her sonar, tracking the submarines. Little rails lever out on the sides of her tonfa, and more of those sodacan depthcharges are shot forwards on little steam catapults.

She forgot Reina... her radio squeaks to life, and she responds, "Screen the captured submarine, engage any hostile that tries to sink the asset."
Reina Kinney Almost immediately, Reina's eyes go wide as Nagato gets hit by the torpedoes and she can't help but cry out, "ADMIRAL!" For a moment, all she can do is stare in disbelief and shock, but then her radio beeps and she can hear the sound of orders being given. When she hears her command, Reina responds immediately with, "Affirmative!" She proceeds to take off towards the captured submarine, preparing to screen it as best as she can while keeping an eye out for any other hostiles. "This is ours now, and nobody's gonna take it! I won't allow it!" Reina's teeth are gritted and her breathing is rapid as she attempts to calm her rage from seeing the Admiral get hit by those torpedoes.

As she's screening the submarine, Laia's voice echoes in her mind. "Kinney, get with it! You know getting angry only makes you less efficient! Your focus diminishes and your abilities are reduced! Keep a clear mind!" Reina blinks a few times before nodding, trying to calm herself. "All right, gotta stay with this..."
Yuna Kagurazaka Kagurazaka's first reaction, when those torpedoes detonate around Nagato's position, is a mixture of panic and protective fury - a volatile combination which is only quelched by the subsequent sight of Nagato herself, still afloat even though her rigging has largely been wrecked. The blonde in light-cruiser gear lets out a sigh of relief ...

But a large measure of her anger comes right back as she sets her sights on the incoming pack of submarines: the backup. "Leyanne, give my torpedoes time to get there and then sweep across their formation with your depth charges - let's give them a one-two punch to think about," she transmits to the Martian mousewoman. She's already plotting out a firing solution for her next spread of torpedoes ...

And in the next moment, her torpedoes are launched and streak towards the Bootleg 'backup' fleet. Rather than skimming just below the surface this time, half of the torpedoes dive deeper before levelling off, the other half staying relatively shallow ... but both sets will close in like the claws of a particularly violent lobster, trying to sandwich the enemy submarines from above and below before they detonate in unison.

Kagurazaka's not just hanging back to watch the aquatic fireworks, though; while she's letting the Leeroy Jenkins take the lead in closing, Kagurazaka gets her own depth charges ready. Her fury has subsided again - but she still does NOT want to give the submarines any additional chances to hurt Nagato, or Leyanne, or anyone else.
Leyanne Leeroy was on a slow circuit back towards the fleet when the subs she made a run on float to the surface, face-up and breathing. Leyanne's about to fistbump her sonar mouse when he grabs his headphones.

'Fish in the water!' he calls out to her. 'Multiple torpedoes, bearing zero niner zero- cancel, I'm hearing explosions!'

Leyanne hears the sound through the hull, and moments later through her ears, looking up just in time to see the last billows of flame around Nagato. But she doesn't have time to be stunned. Orders are coming through, and after a bit of mathematics in her head to convert yards into a unit she understands, she wrenches the wheel around and pushes a button, bringing the Deltic auxilliary power unit online to power the generators, taking some of the strain off the main engines and granting another three knots, closing on the new submarine contacts with her active sonar picking out the Bootlegger submarines.

Closing like this, Leeroy is an obvious target, both his propellors and the sonar itself lighting the fragile, wooden-hulled boat in big neon letters that read 'THREAT'. His only defense is his speed; closing at just over 60 knots, hitting him with a torpedo is going to require skill and/or luck.
Kotone Yamakawa Depth charges are going form Leyanne, she sees Shigure's tatic work and shemakes them as not hostile as they ditch most if not all of their weapons. She will now turn her attention far too late though as Nagato comes under fire.

With the orders from Shigure? She's launching her fighter wings now and issues them orders. One after the next she fires off planes getting them into the skies. She knows Nagato is in danger but they have to work as a team to help her and prevent things from getting worse.

"Hang in there Admiral...."
Nagato     Nagato's still holding on but in this situation, she's practically dead weight. At least she can soak up a few more torpedo attacks.. maybe.

The 'sub' moves along with Yuudachi and Reina as they make their way back to Nagato herself. Unfortunately this draws the ire of the incoming backup subs, who immediately launch another spread of torpedoes to try and secure the target... and sink a couple fleet members in the process. There's no noise from them but the trail of bubbles from them is pretty clear that they're coming.

Leyanne's and Yuna's torpedoes rush right through the water and the combined explosions wreck three of the six enemy subs, floating up with obvious damage to them. The other three, however, halt in the water, to let the other torpedoes explode before they get there. Ko's planes, however, spot them, ready to make the attack if she so commands!
Nagato     Shigure's flak shot does not just discourage a strike wing from coming in, it also destroys the scout plane in the air. The screening does protect the enemy submarine, fortunately, as the tonfa-launched depth charges sail right through the air, crashing down with a splash into the water and soon... explosions wrack whatever's underwater, sending another couple enemy subs up into the surface, heavily damaged, if not dead!
Shigure     Shigure's eyes flare blue, trailing a bit of 'flame' as she starts tracking and processing the torpedo tracks. They're easy enough to see, being old models... and she prioritizes the ones aimed at 'Kashi' and Nagato. "All guncrew, sequential fire, high explosive shells, predictive targets coming from firecontrol now." she aims the cannons as smaller guns fold out of the 'caps'. She opens fire, splashing high explosive shells to try and either deflect, or detonate the torpedoes before they hit.

Yuudachi moves to do the same, her rigging springing to life with machinegun tracers and cannon reports, the Nightmare of Solomon interposing herself between Nagato and 'Kashi'. She'll take the torpedoes for the Flagship, like a good escort should.
Reina Kinney Reina's reflexes are on high alert, so it's not hard for her to sense the torpedoes. No sound doesn't mean no clue. There's a trail of bubbles and Reina immediately calls out, "GET CLEAR!" Before she opens fire on them as best as she can. "Move out of their way!" She exclaims as she tries to stop a couple before seeing that Yuudachi intends to act as a shield against the torpedoes. "Oh, no..." Reina holds her fire but turns her eyes. "Dammit, no!"
Leyanne Leyanne spots a torpedo incoming for Leeroy at the last moment, and attempts to dodge it. She's almost successful, but the boat jerks as the torpedo glances off, ripping a large gash open in the hull - but thankfully, not detonating and blowing poor Leeroy to flinders. Immediately the boat slows drastically, bilge pumps kicking in to pump out the flooded section and allow the mice within to apply a patch. But it doesn't stop; she's got depth charges to deliver before too many more torpedoes can be launched.

Six more depth-charges roll off the back of the boat as he passes over the wolf pack, a few seconds between each soft, gentle splash. With the racks empty, the mice who usually man the exocet launchers begin mouse-handling the big depth-charges from below decks and locking them in place on the racks.
Yuna Kagurazaka "Don't even pretend you're going to hurt anyone else!" snaps Kagurazaka as she sees the additional torpedoes in the water. She flings another few depth charges into the torpedoes' path, even willing to tank one bodily herself if push comes to shove - she'd rather *not*, but she's willing to do so anyway for the sake of her friends and fleetmates. And she knows Yuudachi is interposing herself as a bulwark for the already-battered Nagato; Kagurazaka is willing to trust her judgment that she can take a few hits if necessary.

But trusting Yuudachi's ability to tank doesn't mean Kagurazaka's NOT going to try and lighten the burden of incoming fire.

And Kagurazaka's still planning to follow up Leyanne's attack run with some additional depth charges. Ideally she'd like to pass above the remaining bootleg subs right on Leyanne's wake, but that would put her way too close to her depth charges - she wouldn't even have time to judge how well Leyanne's 'bombing run' did - so she holds back, checking her sonar as soon as the explosions subside, and adjusting her course and her charges' timing to try and account for whatever's left of the bootleg subs.
Kotone Yamakawa She has her planes seeking out enemy air power and goes after any that remains she's too far out from Nagato but she does what she can for pulling heat off those who can help but worse there's other things out in the water still so she's got to keep her own bombers ready to struike but she is fining herself tyring to not break formation as she knows Nagato would tell her to focus on the mission not leave anyone behind but they have a job to do right? The Bootleg subs would find Kotone's bombers are moving in on the subs to make a strike but it's going to be a bit delayed yet it will come.
Nagato     Shigure and Yuudachi's own gunfire nuke a majority of those torpedoes from even getting close to the battlegroup, unfortunately, one slips by to get into Leyanne's ship... so that's a boon for the enemy at least! "Yuudachi, there's no need to sacrifice yourself, you're a good Destroyer." comes Nagato's voice, a bit pained but still there and loud.

Kashi blinks at this, sighing some. She shakes her head a bit, lips move under that rebreather but nothing comes out. Guarded by a battleship, destroyers and Reina, there was no sense of her even remotely trying to get away or fight, she already surrendered. She shakes her head and holds herself still, watching the Fleet.

Yuna's and Leyanne's depth charges manage to strike a fatal blow to four more and Kotone's bombers manage to lay the smackdown on the last two... and soon, the waters were silenced. With one captured and the majority dead, ther was one question on Nagato's mind at least.

"What the hell happened to this woman."
Leyanne Leeroy attempts to rescue/capture those subs who survived, the mice on board hauling those who show signs of life on board - and keeping them under guard and administering first aid, if needed. By the time the wooden boat returns to the fleet, the hole has been (mostly) patched from the inside by several large sheets of wood, nailed and wedged and braced in place.

Even then, the bilge pumps are working hard to keep the boat floating, Leyanne looking at the unconscious Abyssals on her deck with concern. Something about them doesn't... feel right. She doesn't near Nagato's question, but if she did, whole new ones of her own would be forming. Questions like 'wait, this woman?' and 'I thought you... folks were like, ship-souls or something'. But, seeing as she's out of range, she doesn't hear it, so she can't ask them. Yet.
Yuna Kagurazaka With Elner verifying that the bootleg submarines have all been taken out of action, Kagurazaka slows down from combat speed. Her first stop (not that she's "stopping" per se) is to do an external inspection of the Leeroy Jenkins ... not that she can do a lot to even inspect the underside, but she can make sure of how the PT boat is holding up *above* the waterline, and maybe lend a hand if anything needs shoring up.

Once she's done what she can to help Leyanne out, Kagurazaka goes to rendezvous with Nagato and Yuudachi. If the Admiral needs some extra support, Kagurazaka doesn't even hesitate to provide it, never mind that Nagato's significantly taller than her. (There are probably destroyers taller than Yuna.)

She is, however, noticeably silent when it comes to confirming sonar contacts or otherwise trying to verify the disposition of the bootleg submarines. Elner does that part, transmitting data directly to Nagato.
Shigure     Yuudachi doesn't have to make the ultimate sacrifice... this time. She lets out a sigh and returns to Nagato's side. "It is my duty to protect the Flagship, poi." she says, scooching under Nagato's arm, trying to support her to help her get out of the zone.

Shigure skates up alongside the Leeroy, offering an answer to the unspoken question. "This is a group of humans that are trying to take Shipgirl equipment and graft it onto themselves... they are not Abyssal." She looks at the wounded Bootleggers, then listens to the radio, eyes flarin bright blue again as she PINGS active sonar. "No returns, Sonar is clear."
Reina Kinney Meanwhile, Reina is working on pulling back towards Nagato and Yuudachi while keeping an eye on the captured submarine. "We're not going to hurt you," Reina explains. "Just do as your told and everything will be fine." She wipes her forehead, having truly underestimated being in a true naval battle... but it sure was worth it.
Kotone Yamakawa With subs down she doesn't want to think about it she knows she can't save them all but it still eats at her. She could have done something but they did seem to save one. She'll move to form up and recall some of her planes and she will be moving to aid any of the sunk enemies who might still be alive. Who the hell is doing this and why?! It hits too close to home with her own origins.

"Hows the Admiral?!"
Nagato     Nagato sighs a bit, With everything coming to an end, she looks down towards the sub and shakes her head. "I'm sorry for everything." she whispers to her, "Alright, everyone. Let's head back with our capture. We have some... things to get out of her." her eyes turn towards shore, "I'm unable to battle, I'll need everyone's defense." she comments, as she starts heading towards the east... away from Brazil. "This has gone far enough."
