Scene #5630: Story time with Touta

Tomoe	Haven was a castle in a very strnage floating group of land masses with a castle by the sea if you could call it that. Tomoe once she stepped out of the warp gate? Her apperanc shimmered clothing and hair colour changing to a mix of plate and cloth armour and she seemed to be much more comfortable as she lead Touta into the castle town. The place is in various states of repair but there are signs of life and some modern tech such as Led lights in the populated area as she haead for what looked like a tavern. "This place is what passes for the GU's base of operations and we had a few refugees from the old Union HQ move in with us such as the people that run this buffet." She'll find a place sit down note it's two for the buffet and will set about getting food and let Touta do the same before she'll start taking again. "So you had questions right?"
Touta Konoe	As the group arrives in Haven he can't help but flash back to a certain flying island of castle ruins that had been owned by a certain Vampire. Clearly this was not the same place however, the fact that it was so populated had already established that at the very least to him. "It's like a flying town or something." He says mostly making a note of it to himself. At this point in time though his own attire had returned to normal. Black pants and gakuran with a red t-shirt under it. It was honestly very casual clothing in comparison to Tomoe's which he still felt the need to remark on. "Huh, you were right. Your clothes did change after all. I got to say the stuff you were wearing looked nice but the armor you have on now looks way cooler." He says to Tomoe bluntly and without censor. As they continue to walk around and Tomoe explains more of the backstory he nods along. Mairead's explained some stuff about the Union to him and he knows a bit from the books that he's read but other than that he can't say how many people he knows who have really been a part of the Union when it was a thing. Once they arrive at the buffet he takes a moment to take a bit of everything they have. His plate is literally stacked to capacity. Clearly he wants to see what these Union veterans had to offer, at least in taste. "Yeah, I just remember you asking for help and something about acting like villains. I kinda forgot why that was the case though. It has something to do with that outfit you have to wear though right?"
Tomoe	Tomoe says "We found it a year or so ago and cleared it out of golems that were running amuck at the time." She grins a bit and she looks to him for a moment. "I think it's cooler as well." She doesn't mind his uncernored views she's a tank and better to know what's up then not it might just save someone's life. "This is where things get strange my world before unification developed VR MMORPGs. To put things simply after the multiverse barfed? My world fused with a game and people deeply involved in such gamea woke up one morning with a device that let them become their main alt." She eats a bit of food before she goes on. "We had a quest break because I was dumb, I was poessed by the dark lord they managed to free me but ... they broke the quest chain."
Touta Konoe	Touta had been nibbling on some of the food as she began her explanation. He recalled her talking on the comms about how before her world unified they were all put into a VR that went wrong and how the situation played out, though the news of the quest breaking was something new to him altogether so he put his chopsticks down as he ran everything by her to make sure he was getting everything right. "So, something happened with the quest that got you possessed by this Dark Lord or something, but even though you broke free because the quest was broken you have to act as the Dark Lady in it's place? So the reason you were fighting those guys was just because they were attempting the quest then?" He honestly has no idea he's just curious at this point if what he's saying sounds about right.
Tomoe	Tomoe says "It was a intended to be a group fight, I went off alone. She had a poession mechanic and I got poessed, my friends had to fight me and burn her out of me. So now I have to act as her yes more or less. The troubling part is sometimes the NPCs Cardinal make are not just illusions are real people. A few of them live here the smith and some of the item shop owners are such. Those guys are NPCs ... cardinal made but they are, acting like they are not just set pieces if that makes sense?"
Touta Konoe	As Tomoe talks about the NPCs being real people, it looks like Touta stops eating for a moment. Like he got lost in a daze. Though it's only for a moment before he starts smiling again. "Yeah, I get that. So are you okay being the Dark Lady though? I mean, the way you act it sounds like you don't want to be wearing that costume forever. Plus if this is still a game world technically I would imagine that the longer you stay as her the more likely someone will save a screenshot or something of it right?"
Tomoe	Tomoe says "I don't and another reason to finish the quest is so the region goes quiet again. There's several towns in the area and they are having problems with the monsters. Oh I have no doubt someone has images on file already. Might be able to talk them down I think they don't seem mindless that's why I'm wondering."
Touta Konoe	Touta starts scratching his head a bit more. He can understand that she needs to stay the Dark Lady now but... "So how do you finish this then? Do you need to have someone defeat the Dark Lady through the quests then? Or does the Dark Lady have to win? How are ya suppose to get out of this mess, Tomoe?" He really has no idea what the end goal for her to get out of this is at all.
Tomoe	Tomoe says "The objective said defeat, not slay, kill, or dispatch so it might allow for us to figure out a way to do it also they seem to be colour coded in a way to the pendant sthe early quest gave out. I'm not cold blooded and I don't want to kill them either. Even that asshole brick."
Touta Konoe	Touta recalls that one individual Brick, the one who got yelled at for allowing the priest get hit. Still... "So I guess you have to let the quest run it's course or what not, I get that. But, why are you asking for extra minions to make it harder for them? If the objective says to defeat the Dark Lady wouldn't it make more sense to have some of your friends join their side to make sure that they can accomplish the objective without having to actually hurt anyone? Like, maybe I'm still missing something cause I wasn't there at the beginning but wouldn't that help a bit instead of making the quest harder for them?" Touta couldn't even bring up the pendants since he had never even heard of them before. Clearly that was something that might have slipped through the cracks when they had talked last.
Tomoe	Tomoe Says "The quest told me to recuit general yes but more minions? More ways of looking at the problem. Someone might catch something I and the generals miss. It's what saved the Clearwer sin the death game. If Kirito hadn't ... caught on the leader of the alliance was the man who trapped us in there..."
Touta Konoe	Can tell from the tone in her voice that there's definitely some unpleasant memories being recalled. He could only imagine what it had to been like to have a comrade betray you like that, especially the person who was leading everyone. What kind of nonsense was that anyway? To lead everyone and then betray them, how more messed up could it get? "Well if that's the case you can count on me from here on in! I'm not the best gamer, but when it comes to a fight I think I can hold my own pretty well. Plus, I think I already did a good job scaring them off this time so I can see if Kurobo and I can up the ante a bit the next time they pop up then." Touta extends out his hand for Tomoe. He wants her to know that if she really needs him, he'll be willing to help out.
Tomoe	Tomoe acceps the hand and will shake it smiling honestly. "I will take the help and it's no game, not any more saldy I'll take the help I can get and yes. I'll tell you this the beast master and hte priestess seem to be the ones who might question things." She smiles then notes "Dinner's on me so enjoy, also don't be shocked if you see me wearing another face at some point too. I wasn't born a Salmander after all."
Touta Konoe	As the two shake hands Touta smiles at her offer. "Thanks! Truthfully, I don't have any credits so I was just planning to make something back at the IS Academy, though this is definitely a treat. Next time you and the rest are over there I'll pay you back for cooking for you guys or something. Also I'm not too worried about what you look like. In my world we have actually Demi-humans."
Tomoe	Tomoe says "Sounds like a plan to me Touta. "Sounds like a plan to me. So how have you been taking to the multiverse if I might ask? It threw me for a loop, let me tell you. I do miss some of my old comrades from the old Union I just hope they are all right, I'd be dead if not for some of them."
Touta Konoe	The young man smiles as she asks him about his time in the multiverse. "It's been something special honestly. I mean at first it was crazy, but I met people who were just so awesome! One who went out of her way to give me a place to crash, food, warm clothes, and I even met people who were willing to help me find my Warpgate! It almost makes me not want to leave. But at the same time, I still want to make sure all my friends back home are alright. I've been gone for a few months now. I at least want to make sure they're alright."
