Theurgus     Theurgus takes Fuki, the charge cradle and what few parts remain functioning away from the transport and through a Warpgate. Her radio continues to chirp, but she pulls out a small crystal that she speaks into. "Grimoire, I have a special, urgent mission for you." a voice speaks through the crystal with a long suffering sight. <Yes? What is it, Lady Diamond Soul?> Theurgus smirks. "I need you to coordinate with Hand Degurechaff to locate replacement parts for a 'Shinki'. I am bringing a guest home and she requires extensive repairs."

Charta responds, <Alright. I will inform the Magewrights.> "Good, we will be back shortly."

The trip isn't all that long, the Terminal Rail leading to the Hub, which then leads to the System Bus, and finally to Locus itself, Theurgus keeping Fuki on the partly powered cradle and safe in her arms the entire way.
Fuki     It sucks, not being able to move. Being carried around like some toy... but alas, that's what she's been reduced to right now. A charred, broken Fubuki model. Fuki listens to what Theurgus is saying, lying motionless, saving energy... not that she could move anyways. "Grimoire?" she questions, "Diamond... Soul?" she looks up towards Theurgus curiously... "Hand.." she sighs a bit, "I... appreciate you rescuing me from... there, but, what's going on. Last I remember is seeing Master take my CMS away... there were explosions... and the Citadel..."

She frowns a bit, "Is... is my Master ok?"
Theurgus     Theurgus's face likely says more than any words could ever do. "Lets get you repaired before we discuss anything like that. You need more power as well, and replacement parts. Let us attend to your physical needs, than I will be more than happy to answer your questions." Attempted deflection!

The crystal chirps up. <Lady Diamond Soul, one of our fellow Partners is sending over a set of what he calls 'Jellycans'. Do not use any other coolant or sustenance substitute than those.> "Understood Grimoire, thank you."

Theurgus carries Fuki through the city, past programs and reformed Viruses, her coat flowing in her passing towards the central spire. Up the stairs, into the building and into an elevator to the top, overlooking the entire Drive.

Theurgus sets the cradle down on her workbench, connecting it to the Resource System via an adaptor that takes a few moments to connect to the Cradle's plug, but eventually does, providing a steady, constant flow of energy instead of the slowly ebbing pre-charge the Flotilla gave the device. "For now, until new parts arrive, let me see what I can do about the extant parts and if they can be salvaged."
Fuki     Fuki blinks as the deflection succeeds. "Alright." she mutters, the motions of moving tossing her gently in her cradle. "Such... interesting locales." she comments, looking between the interesting people and the like. "You live in a weird place." she comments idly.

Though she hears a very familiar word, Jellycans, and that perks the shinki up quite nicely. "Do... do they have Strawberry?" she whispers, "I want... strawberry... it's good." she whispers, finally feeling the ebb of charge coming back to her from being hooked up. "Alright. Fubuki model Shinki, Fuki. Assassin. Lieutenant of the Confederacy. Recovering me will make sure I can reward you properly for it."
Theurgus     Theurgus pulls up a chair, and starts gently dismantling the charred, broken limbs and other parts on Fuki's body, setting them aside on the workbench with all the care of someone who works with such things on a regular basis. "A pity these are so badly damaged, I would love to study intact examples some time." A LDF Militiaman knocks at the door after a few minutes. "Lady Diamond Soul? A package arrived from the Concord mail carrier for you."

"Good good, put it down next to the table... and direct all incoming packages from Multiversal sources to my workshop." replies Theurgus without looking up from her task.

The LDF Militaman salutes, after setting the case down. He turns and leaves quickly, leaving the pair alone again.

Theurgus looks at Fuki carefully, reaching down to pull a little jellycan out of the case... by serendipity, it's a strawberry one. "Let me get one of your arms working, unless you would like me to hang feed you?"
Fuki     Fuki watches Theurgus go to work, dismantling her broken and charred pieces. "I... don't know what happened. One moment I was in my Master's grasp. Next moment... I'm waking up to see the Flotilla, a former assassination target, a small girl with the title of Major and you." a pause, "What happened. Tell me, please." she perks only a bit, looking at the case, eyes going wide as she sees her favorite flavor. She tries to reach for it... but fails.

"Please... get my arms working again, I need to be functional quick. I can't be allowed to fail my mission on protecting my Master." she comments, "Once my arms are fixed, I can take care of drinking myself."
Theurgus     THeurgus lets out a small sigh. "I am not good at breaking news gently... but I promised to try." she says softly, continuing to work, her blue eyes focussed on the task, instead of the Shinki. "We came across several visions while searching the ruins we found you in. Your Master... saved you." she says, carefully.
Fuki     Fuki blinks. "Eh?" a confused noise is given... "He... saved me? That's well and good but... where is he? Also, where is my Coeurl? And Ria? And my human-sized body?" she questions, "Are they waiting for me somewhere while you fix me?"
Theurgus     Theurgus closes her eyes. She takes a breath, then releases it in a calming exhale.

"We found them... a pile of bones, long dead. One of a large feline, amongst some others. The human-sized body was recovered and given to an engineering team to attempt repairs. It was far beyond my ability to repair." she looks into Fuki's eyes. "We only found you in the room, it's... possible that your Master did not survive what happened."

A tear flows down her cheek. "I'm sorry."
Fuki     ... Fuki looks at Theurgus. "M...master..." there's a strange noise coming from the Shinki, a sniffle. "Master... is..." she shakes her head, "No, that's not possible. He was in a safe room. He had me in his hand! I was there with him!" she starts shaking a bit, eyes closing, "I.. no... no, I did..." she bites her lip... "I failed. I told him... I told Kourin... Master... that I would be there to the very end." there's a slight choking sound... and soon... She stops making noise.

It's a few long minutes before she speaks again, "I never got to say goodbye." she whispers, "Did... did you recover anything of his... aside from me?"
Theurgus     Theurgus brings her face down to gently rest her forehead against Fuki's when she breaks down, just offering what little comfort she can as the Shinki reconciles with herself. "We were forced to leave quickly, before a reality storm struck the location we were in..." she does reach down, and pluck a small note from her belt pouch. "The only other thing, than you, your charging cradle and your human-sized body that we found, was this." she shows the note, then opens it, laying it out so Fuki alone can read with without having to move too much.
Fuki     Fuki sighs and shudders, trying to compose herself. Normally, she wouldn't expose this part of her, the scared, vulnerable part that will do anything for her Master... but when this note is presented, she reads it... the heart symbol and tape marks. And a familiar depression. "You really did... save me." she mutters, "Master..." she looks at the note... then up to Theurgus. "The... Confederacy. It's no more, is it...?" she questions a bit, falling back into her cradle, head looking to the ceiling.

"Those who recovered me... you're from the Concord, right?"
Theurgus     "I never knew of a group called The Confederacy. This was before my time in this Multiverse." replies Theurgus, going back to work, reasembling the arm units. They're not combat worthy, but should function enough to at least drink the Jellycan. "But yes. We are the Concord, a group of likeminded people who strive to give autonomy to those who have the means to shape fate through their actions." The Mad Magician leans back a little. "That is the limit of my skill until new parts can be acquired..."
Fuki     With her arm units reassembled, she reaches to sip upon the jellycan offered. Ah, strawberry. How delicious it was. "I have no home now. No Master. Nowhere that I can go right now." she comments, looking away from Theurgus and the rest of the room. "I lost my rank, my faction..." a hand grips tightly upon that jellycan's handle. "Do you think the Concord will allow me in... I can't afford to get caught by MMS. I don't want to get reformatted."
Theurgus     "We were actually counting on that." replies Theurgus. "Once you are repaired, the Concord stands ready to help you." she then makes a sweeping gesture. "You can use Locus as your new home, if you like, we have power, and this Em Em Ess has no authority within the Drive's territory."
