Wandering Dog Luthe, the city that had been lost deep in the sea, full of beastmen enslaving humans, had risen weeks prior after a battle between its forces and several Elites. In that time, it had attacked various ships belonging to the Realm, the largest government in Creation, whose dragon-blooded heroes were despised by the great whale god of Luthe, Leviathan.

A local of Creation and famed adventurer, Wandering Dog had been contacted by a local captain of the threatened Wavecrest Archipelago about the issue, knowing that the Dog had been at the previous encounter. Getting every bit of information he could, the Wandering Dog learned about the last seen location of Luthe, and gathered some associates and a ship, prpearing for the voyage a week in advance. The meetup location was a port, where everyone would board the small ship known as the Waverunner, where they could rest or prepare on the way, have drinks, talk with Wandering Dog and his men, or otherwise plan for the voyage. Food had been prepared for everyone by one of the Wandering Dog's flunkies, fish and rice with a soy sauce, with sweet tea. The trip would be a bit.

By the time they arrived at the location, the sun was already starting to set. The sea air was strong, the smell wafting through the wind, as the ship pulled up near a rocky island, small and of little importance. Wandering Dog has channeled his energy into any of the group who wanted such, giving them the ability to move and act underwater pretty well, allowing them to breathe underwater or even fight if necessary. As the ship comes to a stop, small shadows move against the rocks, something beneath the waves. Luthe isn't in sight anywhere, meaning that if it's here, it's underwater. But the waves are rippling. Is something beneath them?
Athela Valemore The provision of food and drink was appreciated, though Athela felt a little bad about spending most of the trip discussing matters with Dog and the others rather than help tending to the sailing of the ship. But she had to consider her strength for the mission ahead of them and thus left the matter of sailing to the capable crew that had been put together to man the Waverunner.

But she was still one of the first to the dockside once the trip had come to it's end. The redheaded knight quickly shook her head to Dog. "Save your blessing for those needing it more. As a Tide Caller I am capable as is, as are my Pokemon." She only brought the ones fully aquatic with her. "Vap," Sprite agreed even as the Vaporeon poked her head over the edge of the deck. "Vaaaa."

"Yes, I see them too." Athela squinted at the shadows, but refrained from taking to the sea until everyone else was ready. Rushing ahead of the pack would do no good.
Haguro      After taking some time to rest, recover, and prepare herself for another outing, Haguro arrives at the meetup location! It feels odd for her to board a ship considering her own nature, but any misgivings are quickly forgotten in favor of sampling the food and checking her own equipment.

Plus, it's not like she'd conserve any energy sailing alongside the ship herself. She's dressed in a diving suit instead of her usual uniform, still carrying her usual gear of miniature gun turrets along with a camera around her neck.

"Ah... Unidentified shapes incoming. Be careful, everyone!" Haguro calls out in warning as she prepares her cannons, but holds off on firing to observe the shapes instead and snap a few pictures of it from above the water.
Lyria Mason Things were not over, for good or ill? She did want to see this though to the end so here Lyria was and well she's set for the water, but when is she not? Honestly? She looks over to Athela for a moment then to Haguro.

"Ahoy and looks like the small talks got to wait."

She's already making ready for trouble as she slips the flaps on her pistol holsters open and leaves her weapons ready as she eyes the shadows supicously.

"The waters never feel quite right in creation to me..."
Arthur Lowell     ARTHUR LOWELL had joined up on the Waverunner! At some point he'd set up a television at one end of the boat and started playing a GameCube and devouring large quantities of seafood. Don't let that be a damper on his assumed enthusiasm, though; when Wandering Dog offers the ability to breathe underwater, Arthur takes it gladly, delivering a stylish RPG-like pose as popup text above him indicates a buff of "+AMPHIBOSITY", whatever that's supposed to mean. "HELL YES, I really could'a used THIS HELP way back in the day when I had to mess around with the DROWNING TUBES, dog."

Then he leaps to the edge! "YO, HOMIE, I'm seeing some SHADES on the WAVES. How BIG we lookin' for? Something THAT BIG?" He stomps one foot and gathers great power in shining white fire along his body! As he does, he swaps his God-Tier outfit out rapidly through a flickery inventory shift into something lighter, better for swimming. "Hell fucking yes, time to get some FIGHTS going!" He brandishes his heavy black-steel industrial battle-broom, grabs onto it, and leaps headfirst into the water, a stark contrast to Athela's caution! He's gonna go headfirst at things, streaming right towards the mysterious shape before it even breaches. "Motherfuckerrrr you 'boutta wish you were in the MARIANA instead of UP NEAR THE HEAT OF THIS SUN, son!! YOU'RE NOT IN MY LEEEEAAAAAGUE!!!" And other obnoxious, ranty shouts that are far more vulgar and pointlessly insulting. Time to just, uh, smash in head-first, apparently. His rocket-broom activates, even underwater, and he cruises straight for the shape, intent on trying to see if it's Luthe or Luthe forces -- how would he even recognize them? -- and opening fire with massive structure-rending blasts of gravity if it is.
Finna     Finna's not gonna say no to a journey by sea! Especially when it involves free food and plenty of interesting people. The energetic youth's been frequenting said food and drinking, nibbling down plenty of fish.

But now that they have neared the location, she has LEAPT OVERBOARD and assumed dolphin form, unwilling to be seen in her human form anywhere nearby!

Which also gives her a pretty good shot at checking out what's going on down there. ECHOLOCATION STYLE! A whole city's pretty hard to miss!
Wandering Dog Wandering Dog told anyone who would listen about the time he fought a pack of tigers in the jungle, smarter than the average. The food is good, with whoever the cook was being excellent at his job for a thug. Overall, the trip was pleasant enough, even if it was for unpleasant reasons.

Arthur gets a reply from Wandering Dog. "Their soldiers are as big as you and me. That's not Luthe itself, shadow's too small. Think the size of an entire city...what is that?" Indeed, it's not actually a single shadow, after a few moments. It's several, moving through the water. Finna would find this, and get a glance at what they are first. As Arthur charges forward, the water ripples as suddenly, something launches up, piercing through it. It's a lean creature, humanoid but fishlike, with scaly skin, a headfin, and a pair of fins on its back that suddenly spread out into wings as it moves to try and tackle Arthur off of his broom. He's faster on the draw, however, having already suspected the shadows. The blast of gravity knocks it back at the rocks...but at the same time, the sound of air whistles through its fins.

It's haunting. The sound is terrifying just to hear, supernaturally so, and attempts to induce those who hear it into a state of fear. It's resistable with any effort, but still a hassle, as Wandering Dog covers his ears, and one of his men begins cowering in a ball. "Singers! They're predators, resist their song!"

More leap out of the waves. Two Singers come at Arthur, one trying to smack him with its tail, crushing force behind it, and the other trying to slam into the broom to knock him into the water. Another leaps up for a hundred feet in the air, before descending to try and grab Haguro by a limb and pull her beneath the waves, hissing in some sort of animalistic sense, instead of an actual language. Two go after Athela and Sprite, trying to crack into them and knock them overboard with a swing of their tails, and another attempts to drag down Lyria, smacking its tail into her simultaneously. One notices the dolphin that is Finna and hisses in its direction, moving to try and slam at it with its tail. Another five swim around the ship, waiting to see if their fellows succeed, or to support them if they fail. All of them in the air howl that same 'song', trying to spread fear through the hearts of their prey. It looks like they're going to be a problem.
Athela Valemore A brief exasperated sigh escapes Athela as Arthur charges in headlong. There is one in every adventure group... But the moment of annoyance is gone as split-seconds before the water parts for the first shadow she's getting that tingle of warning in the back of her senses. "On your guards!" she snaps, just before the fish-man creature leaps out at Arthur only to get blown away, and several more follow suit. There is too much courage in her heart for the shrieking cries to be little but annoyance.

One lands next to her and Athela brings up her arms in a cross-over to guard herself as the tail swings at her. It shields her body but the impact still tosses her over the edge of the boat... But there is no splash as the creature is likely expecting as she lands -on- the water like it was any other solid surface thanks to her innate ability to move on the water as it is land.
Then wells up beneath her feet like a spring to launch her back into the air onto the ship. As it does Athela draws her weapon properly, Resolute Blade gleaming in the last reminants of sunlight as Athela drops back onto the deck with an overhead slice towards her attacker, banking it it not expecting such an easy return to take it by suprised.
Sprite has less difficulty as the Vaporeon simply ducks the swinging tail. Then leaps to return the favor, flipping forward mid-air to swing her own thick, fluked tail like a club at the creature's head.
Finna     Sound travels nicely through the water, it turns out, and so the Singer song reaches Finna swiftly. She burbles and spurts bubbles from her blowhole in protest, head writhing - but the protection Autochthon wove into the Exaltations to protect against mind-twisting powers does its job. WIth a surge of willpower she shuts out the invasive magics, only fragments of it worming its way into her mind.

Rather than fear, this has stoked RAGE. A bestial fury.

She answers back with dolphin-song of her own, an eerie cackle-squeaking for a call to arms-- and answers the Siren coming at her with a sudden rush of silvery energies surging from her mouth!

Teeth sharpened by the grace of Luna close onto the tail and the dolphin spins about in the water to TWIST and rip - a deathroll manuever, commonly used by gators and crocs!

This dolphin is no ordinary dolphin. It is more a terror of the deep, with teeth that rip flesh to shreds like those of the western goddess of war, spreading blood everywhere into the waters! Even its pectoral fins and tail seem as the deadliest swords and hammers in the murky bloodied waters. And its eyes are the crushing black of the depths.

In a weird, subliminal manner, everything about it screams that it is a Predator Much Bigger Than You, and You, Its Hopeless Prey. Once again Finna unleashes the song of the depths, a cry of war and bloodlust!

All a hope that those Sirens still in the water will flee, instead of calling her bluff. Because she's not sure she could take all of them on alone down here in the water!
Haguro      "It seems so, Miss Lyria... Ah? Then if they're not soldiers from Luthe, who could... There they are!" Following the source of the sounds, Haguro brings up her wrist turret as she takes aim at the shapes and... Freezes. Unfortunately for her, fear is still a very natural thing for her to feel, and she recoils at the supernatural song despite the shouted warnings. That, combined with the ambush from the fishman leaping into the air to get to her, results in the cruiser going under rather easily.

Luckily, she's still got that diving suit on, and being underwater makes it easier to resist the effects of the song where she can't hear it quite so well. Snapping herself back into reality, Haguro shouts something completely unintelligible before starting to smash her free fist right at the Singers' face. Each punch/palm strike is punctuated by a blast of the turret on her wrist. Should she get herself free with those efforts, the cruiser will start firing on the Singers swimming around the ship as well. That strange angry dolphin might need some backup, after all!
Lyria Mason Lyria was ready for trouble and it's a good thing too as thing leap out of the waves Arhtur seem to ahve got their attention pretty hard and fast there. Well she's n ot going to complain about the forigen deity doing this, she thinks she should give him some cover fire. The haunting song pulls at her mind and she forces herself to not focus on it, and it's a good thing too. It's like some twisted mockery of the Goddess Siren, but there's little time to think about that for very long. She's been grabbed they are trying to pull her into the waves, that one does get a hole of it. It also gets a kick to the head if she can manage it and then her pistiols start going off from her pistol.

"I am a Levitanai do you think you can best one of us on anything to do with the water?!"
Arthur Lowell     "HooooohhhhBOOYAH!" Arthur calls out, blasting by impulse as he reverses course and retro-rockets back towards the boat. "Get OUTTA MY FACE with that whistling shit dog, for REAL! Ghhh..." Arthur can resist much of the sonic effects, but most of his willpower resistance applies more to pain, less to mental effects! A little bar appears above him, marking his level of "AURAL DETERRENCE", and it begins to slowly fill. Oh shiiiit, he better get this figured out before it maxes out and he's overcome by fear!

Then come the twin Singers. "Come on! COME AT ME! Let's go! You want the MEAL, dog, you better stand the HEAT OF THE KITCHEN! COME GET A PIECE OF ME YOU ICHTHYOID SONS OF FISHES, I'll FILLET you DUMB BASTAAAARDS!" He moves as fast as he can to interpose his broom between the tail and the impact, but the jarring strike still washes pain up and down his arms, and his visible HEALTH VIAL bar suffers a modest but still harsh drop. The other crashes into him, quite successful in slamming him overboard, and as he falls, a green glow surrounds him and the moment he hits the water, he summons up a Gate! Its matched partner is aboard the ship, and when he hits the water, he soon falls into it, along with any Singer that tries to go after him!

The intent is to come out of this wrestling and choking one of the Singers, hopefully caught off-guard by the maneuver, trying to make sure he snagged one with his broom across its neck. He intends to roll stylishly to his feet and then do a massive, backflipping suplex directly onto Athela's assailant, an attempt to stun it before she lands her strike, and make it more open to wounding.

He's left the portal behind, which somehow does not gush water through it constantly. If Haguro or Lyria need to swap quickly between above-water and under-water operations, now they can, easily!
Wandering Dog Arthur manages to block the tail strike as much as he can, as the Singers just hiss back at his screaming, not actually intelligent enough to communicate. As he falls off, though, the one that tail slammed him moves to pursue through the gate...and gets grabbed by the neck, being strangled. He basically has it at his mercy, it caught off-guard by suddenly being on land instead of in the water. The other one sees this, and moves to leap through the gate at him several seconds after, trying to help its packmate out with a swing of sharp claws.

Athela entirely takes the Singer coming off-guard as she lands on top of the water instead of going underneath with it. The fishmonster fails to grab her, and her flip onto the ship stuns it. Her blade comes cleaving down, and it moves to try and get out of the way and avoid the head-on strike...but is knocked back by Arthur's slam, getting cleaved straight down the middle. The other one is smacked in the head by Sprite, causing it to hiss and pull back, moving around the water and leaping upwards with that singing coming off, moving to come down on Athela's head with a slam of a tail.

Dolphins are not supposed to have horrible maws and weapons. The Singer after Finna realizes that something's wrong far too late, getting grabbed by the monstrous creature, and its tail ripped straight off, the creature barely still alive and trying to fight back with a swipe of claws. The rest of the pack excluding one who seems to be some sort of leader suddenly move to turn back and swim deep, though those up above the waves or already engaged in combat aren't affected.

Lyria's Singer is kicked off of her, filled with bullets by her pistols. It shrieks, attempting to smash her with its tail as blood spills into the water, dying not long afterwards, succumbing to wounds.

Haguro is dragged underneath, but the suit helps her with the song, and also makes it difficult to tear into her with claws and teeth. As she begins punching into the Singer's maw, it's loaded with holes from her turret, and is soon bloody paste. The leader is intercepted by the turret fire, and moves fast to try and slam into Haguro, attempting to crack into her suit with a heavy swing of that tail.

As this is all happening, a light suddenly breaks through the water a bit nearby, and then starts to scan. It's like a massive lighthouse, and it trains on the ship briefly, before turning over to the rocks. It seems to be...rising? Something's rising, atleast, but there's no hostile motions. For those underwater, it doesn't seem to be Luthe. No, it seems to be...humanoid?
Athela Valemore Something else is coming from the depths below, but there is nary a chance to be concerned with it now. That shall have to fall to those not still embroiled in fending the fiends off the ship.

Athela plants a heel as the second creature recovers and whirls around towards the attack. "Not this time, aquatic abhorent!" Her weapon comes up as she twists, not to strike per say but catch the tail between the prongs on Resolute Blade's back edge to yank it away from her head and pull aside to snare the creature.

A small lump of lavander pokes up out of the hood of her cloak, jostled awake by the erratic movements. But upon seeing its master under attack confusion gives way to fury despite the slug's petite size. Eyes narrow, and the Goomy briefly swells much larger then opens its maw to spew a gout of highly caustic acidic slime at the aggressive creature while Athela has it pinned.
Lyria Mason Lyria Mason will be thankful for the porate but at the moment she's got to deal with the Singer. With the thing dead she's now able to go for the water. She leaps into the protal and as she does so she shucks off her jacket top, and holsters her pistols. Now with a vibro cutlass in hand, she dives for the portal. She finds herself in the water now and the goggles come down as she attempts to close in on any more of the beastmen such as giving Haguro a hand!
Haguro      With the immediate threat eliminated, Haguro is soon faced with another bigger threat! She gasps out harshly as the tail slams into her side, opening a sizable hole in the suit and cracking a few ribs in the process. Feeling that pressure from the water more directly, the cruiser faces the very real threat of getting dragged into the depths!

Good thing Arthur and Lyria have her back. Spying the still-open portal, the Cruiser takes advantage of the leader's proximity to latch onto it, practically trying to bearhug it as Lyria approaches. She gestures towards the portal with her head once, then sort of awkwardly dives towards the portal while struggling to try and keep the leader right between her and Lyria's blade. With any luck, she'll be able to escape from going under completely and help bring down the fishman in one awkward tumble!
Finna     Now that's so much better! The Dolphin-Beast that is Finna is making mincemeat out of this one poor Siren. And with its tail now ripped off, its underwater manueverability is... compromised, to say the last. It manages to get a claw into her rubbery flesh, drawing even more blood, but she twists away from it and spins about, now clamping those jaws down for its head, fully intent on going into another DEATHROLL and just twisting its head right off. This will be DISTRESSINGLY MESSY for anyone watching...

But in Finna's mind, it's a mercy. The world is not kind to cripples.

Better a warrior's death for this one!

CRUNCH. One less Siren to plague sailors, at least.

The Dolphin's grisly guardian beast duty done, it thrashes its tail powerfully and sails through the water to group up with Haguro.

Finna can't exactly SPEAK in this situation - the water would garble her words if she tried, and she needs to conserve her air - but Haguro and Lyria can both get the impression that this creature's on their side!

The Dolphin squeal-clicks encouragingly to the two swimmers!

Then it swims over to Arthur's portal and sticks its head through!

For one brief moment there's half-a-dolphin hovering over the ship's deck. The creature gets one good look at what's going on... and backflippers back into the sea!
Arthur Lowell     It doesn't matter if Arthur's foes are too unintelligent to comprehend screaming. This is a guy who was raised on Xbox Live, he's more used to shouting at subhumans than he is talking to humans.

Claws rake along his body, drawing sprays of fading blood. "GaaaaAAAAAAAAH!!" Arthur cries out. His Heath Vial takes another shocking drop before he yanks the fishman he's strangling around in a twisting maneuver, so that the haft of his battle-broom likes up with the torso of the foe menacing him... "You so WORRIED about your CHUM then get the WELCOME WAGON ready for him in DUMBASS FISHMONSTER HELL, motherfucker!" And then pulls the trigger on it.

There's a gunshot! The battlebroom is a rifle too! It blasts a huge bolt straight for to torso of the creature, intent on breaking bones and knocking it clean out of there, before he tries to finish off strangling this one. Who knows if Finna, the mad Lunar, can interrogate animals or... Something. Anyway, Arthur can hopefully discard him in a moment, and then turn to face down the threat that the others have brought in! The leader! If Haguro has the leader in a grapple, she'll need someone to finish it off! Arthur yanks a ripcord on his battlebroom, charges up its thruster, and moves to deliver a massive, gravity-charged, rocket-powered slam on the thing's head while Lyria slices elsewhere and Haguro holds it!

"WHAT ELSE we got on that MENU, homies? Gonna run outta BODIES to HIT THE FLOOR in a HOT SECOND, I'm hoping!" Arthur calls out. Very much hoping, because his AURAL DETERRENCE actually got uncomfortably high.
Wandering Dog Athela manages to catch the Singer coming at her with the blade, the tail pulling back as it moves to try and swipe at her with claws. However, whether or not it succeeds, the Goomy causes it problems. The creature is pinned, and the acid catches in its face, blinding it and causing it to shriek horribly. It's furiously attempting to struggle towards the water, but it can't see a thing, and the poison is burning through its skin. It's not going to be much of a problem anymore, no matter what's done with it.

Finna tears her crippled Singer apart, the creature unable to really resist being torn in half. It's certainly bloody, but the others aren't coming back - they're long gone by this point.

Lyria moves through the portal to assist Haguro with her Singer. The creature didn't expect Haguro to actually try and grapple it more, as she moves to put the creature in the path of Lyria's cutlass. The blade strikes true, though the struggling requires Haguro to hold onto it tight as the blade is sliced deeper into the Singer's flesh, though it continues to resist even so, refusing to just die.

The fishmonster fighting Arthur has no reason to think the broom is anything more than a melee weapon. It takes that blast front and center, knocked out of the portal, several ribs cracked. It moves to attempt to flee, as the other one is strangled, and soon, suffocates. It seems that actually being on dry land helped, as it feels dried up when it finally stops breathing.

Finally, the leader fight is joined by Arthur, who slams straight into the head of it. A mixture of that, another sharp slash from Lyria, and the crushing pressure from Haguro finishes it, howling when it dies. It's gone.

There's no more. But there is something new. That shining light finally reaches the apex as something breaches the water - Finna would be able to spot it fully first. It's about 450 feet tall, a massive statue of a man made out of stone and iron, with a head that seems to be a mixture between a diving helmet and a spotlight. There are massive cracks across the glass, dimming the light, and what appears to be some sort of indistinct face behind the cracked glass. As it rises, it eventually reaches the top of the water...which it walks on like land, turning over to the ship. It glances over it in a manner that can only show that the colossus is intelligent, briefly glancing over the group before moving as if it's going to turn. It's probably far more intelligent than those fishmonsters, at the least.
Arthur Lowell     Arthur takes a moment to pant. With the Singers desisting, his AURAL DETERRENCE finally starts going down, and he takes a moment to pant heavily breathing as heavily as he can. And then he looks up and sees the massive being and looks just about ready to start more fighting... And then...

"Okay, not gettin' some FIGHTING at us. Let's see if I can... Just..." He takes off on his rocket-broom heading right for the mysterious titan! He surges up towards the being and then stops roughly at its arms length from it. And then... He... Does the Arthur hassle-handshake. "YOOOO what's good HOMIE?" He calls out, summoning up what looks like a sort of titanic hand-shaped construct of starlight and gravity, attempting to shake its hand, but also perform several daps, pounds, bumps, low-fives, and other assorted gestures. "You do WATCHING, was that a GOOD SHOW on this? Looking for LUTHE, dog, you got that LOWDOWN for the UNDER-SEA DOWN-LOW?"

This is stupid. This is stupid on a /titanic/ level. But, at the very least, it's starting out very, very friendly.
Athela Valemore The claws attempt to dig into her armor but Athela does not release the creature's tail until it's already been slimed in a most horrid way. "Thank ye," she comments to the Goomy, even as she releases the tail and gives the Singer a boot off the boat. It can wirth it's death woes beneath the waves it came from, taken from the dark depths.

The slug slinks back down in her hood to resume it's passiveness as Athela turns to regard the titanic form, Vaporeon coming to sit at her heel with a similar awed look.

"Impressive." Is all she really has to say.

And hope Arthur's weird lingo doesn't somehow offend it. SHE certainly has no idea what he's saying outside of a vage concept of greeting.
Finna     Finna's keen to conserve her strength, so unless Haguro and Lyria need help with those Sirens... she's quite content to keep the approaching COLOSSUS firmly in her echolocation-sights. She trembles and quivers in the water!

And once the rising creature's full size is ascertained... she ABOUT-SNOUTS and swim-rockets through that portal!

Which brings her soaring through the air over the deck. The moment gravity brings a pectoral fan to tap the deck the dolphin engages in an UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE show of flexible backflipping to bleed off momentum... and coming to rest acrobatically balancing on its upper snout!

    "BIG! THING! RISING! A GIANT!!"

This is just in time to give warning for... what follows.

By Wandering Dog's accounting of things though, everything's fine.

The dolphin bounces up and flips her belly onto the ship's railing, holding on much like a human leaning over might!

Uncertain what to make of the giant just turning away like this...

In a matter of moments the sleek sea creature's rubbery flesh compresses down, those pectoral fins rising on its quicksilver body. It goes overboard, spreading wings... and takes flight!

Now a seagull, the Lunar flaps up a storm to gain altitude and aims to nimbly perch atop the giant's head and lean over to gaze upside-downedly into its big cracked lens.

"Wow, you're big! What do I gotta eat to grow big as you?" The seagull squawks out cheerily. As if this wasn't just a fight-for-your-life situation.

    ... Lunars.
Haguro      Haguro pants heavily as the leader finally stops moving, letting go of the mangled corpse while rolling onto her back. She barely gives herself a chance to catch her breath before reloading her turrets and realizing that the fight is already over.

Okay, maybe now she can take a second to breathe. Panting again, the shipgirl manages to raise her hand up towards her allies with a slow thumbs-up while continuing to lie there for a few more precious moments. "Did we... Fight them off?"

It takes another minutes or so before she finally picks herself back up, nursing the wound on her torso and finally noticing Arthur taking off to talk to a giant statue man. She simply stares at it for several awkward moments before managing a slow half-curtsey, notwithstanding the fact that she's wearing a damaged diving suit instead of a dress and trying not to aggravate her injuries at the same time.

"The Watcher... I-interesting. Do you think it can understand us?" She asks quietly to whoever's still on the ship and not flying right at it, slowly bringing her camera back up to snap a few shots of it (landscape AND portrait, of course).

"Ah... Excuse me! Are you-owow... Are you here for something?"
Lyria Mason With Harguo now getting some backup Lyria does have the ship spirit's back as she's working to help keep her from getting bumbrushed. She will work to set up the combo with makine sure to keep herself in the right spot, her cutlass strukes true and she scores a very nasty hit.. It's not dead yet, and Lyria keeps on her guard to that. Finna in animal form isn'd IDed by Lyria but she gets that thing isn't going to try to eat them.

She scores a second hit and with the combined assauyklt the thing finally dies,. She's bakc on the boat in a moment via the poirtal and now there's something else coming after them. She looks up her jaw opens. It's not attacking yet so that has her lower her weapon.

"Ahoy nthere are you herre to parly?!"
Wandering Dog The colossus is, luckily, not hostile in any shape. The Watcher of the Sea, as Wandering Dog referred to it, stops his turning as Arthur approaches. As he summons the massive hand construct, the Watcher stares at it briefly, before deeming it not a threat and...not doing anything. It doesn't seem that the creature understands what a handshake is. But it does reply, surprisingly enough. It's voice is loud, completely devoid of gender indicators or inflection, as it speaks. "Yes, tiny human. I am the Watcher of the Sea, Oliphem. I was sleeping beneath the waves. I did not see your fight until the end, and I have little opinion of it." As Finna lands on its head, it lifts a hand out to allow them to land on it, clearly fine with talking, as they're the only ship around. "I do not eat, so I cannot say." Haguro and Lyria are glanced at next. "This was just where I rised. What do you mean by parley?"

"Luthe...yes, I know what you speak of. I saw it last evening. It was in this direction." The light flashes out into the broad waves, a finger pointing. However, there's a problem - the area that Oliphem is pointing is a broad stretch of sea, and doesn't really clear it up. "I cannot tell you more. I do not recognize much of the sea anymore, and cannot even see the moon." It actually seems to get...angry, the first inflection in its voice. "My lens was cracked twenty centuries ago, and without it, I cannot see across the ocean as I once could, otherwise I would know where it would surface or descend. I can navigate you from this spot, but no further." That seems to sadden it to mention.

Being closer to Oliphem, its lens is much clear. The crack is massive and left-leaning, and likely would be difficult to just repair with a normal glassworker, if even possible. It'd likely need something specialized for this level of repair, but such has to exist, right?
Finna     "....Ah! I know you! ... Of you." The seagull does accept this new perch, and soon is no longer a seagull. Finna once again takes human form, draping her figure out across the finger's massive breadth, just supporting herself on one hand.

"You're the sea colossus Lilith's mad husband..." Her words drift off as she remembers a tale that clearly frustrates her. She purses her lips. Then cracks a smile.

"I'll shine like the moon for you!" She offers innocently enough, and follows it up with shifting to seating with her legs dangling off the finger.

"I wonder, though. The world's changed in the last few years. There's more out there than Creation! Might be someone who can heal you!" There's nothing but sincere hope in the Lunar's words. And a bit of sympathy.
Athela Valemore There is thankfully no more attacks so Athela sheaths her weapon. "It is a shame about your.. lens." She's not entirely sure what else it could be called, she isn't a glassmith. "But even the smallest steps of guidance is a great help to us, if it avoids having to search the entire sea. Discoveries have been made on much less than a direction and an intention before." Idly she reachs down to scritch Sprite behind one ear-fin.
Lyria Mason It seems the watcher isn't here for a fight her weapons go away enirely for a moment.

"Well it's good ot meet you Oliphem."

She bows a bit, as she does so? She notices the damage. Sadly fixing optics isn't reaklly her area of skills but she does think for a moment.

"I have to agree with Finna we might be able to find someone who could help you with this. Given some of the more experianced part of the crew have some serious connections. To people we could possibly find someone to help you."
Arthur Lowell     "Yeah boy yeah gimmie that stone." Arthur rambles through his one-sided titan-size coolkid handshake. "S'ALL GOOD homie, we all get that VISION TROUBLE after a bit. Do we get, like, GIANT OPTOMETRISTS? How's that deal work? Hell, dog, if you can get us to LUTHE when it's not all ARMED UP and SWARMING some BOATS or whatever, I'll get your WATCH-BITS FIXED for REAL dog!"

Arthur, of course, has a quest objective list, and of course, "LOCATE TITAN OPTOMETRIST" slides its way onto the uncompleted tasks section as if that were just a normal thing that should go there. "Can ya think of any OTHER CONSTRUCTS might be KICKIN' AROUND or LIGHTLY BUSTED, might have some SIMILAR LENSES? Could LIFT ONE off something... Gotta run around asking dudes about ANCIENT LASERS or OBSERVATORIES, prob's."

Yes he's just /immediately/ diving headfirst into taking the problem head-on with even a very minimal expectation of reward. He's just that used to RPG progression, it seems.
Wandering Dog "Him...Desus!" Oliphem's voice is full of rage as Finna reminds it of an event long past, and it slams its other hand shut hard, making a creaking noise, absolutely seething. It stands there for several moments as the others speak, silent and angry, clearly brewing over the situation in its thought, until they mention that they may be able to find someone who can repair the lens. "If you were to repair my lens, I would assist you in finding Luthe. I find this fair."

Oliphem turns ever so slightly to look down at Arthur. "No. I am the only one. What is an optometrist?" Olpihem's certainly confused. "I have searched around these waters for such a lens for years. I would not know where to start."

Wandering Dog, having gotten his men back into shape from the fear, turns to the others still on the boat with this. "There's gotta be something out there that can do it. Sounds like a plan to me, atleast, if you all don't have any alternatives. I can start looking as soon as we get back, yeah? I've heard of old mystical items that can work on this sort of stuff, and there's certain to be other lens like this, so I might be able to find a lead if you guys can't first."

After they're done talking, Oliphem moves to set anyone in its hand down towards the ship. "I am leaving now. Return near here soon if you find a way to repair it."

The titan walks off in the water, as Wandering Dog finishes getting any corpse bits off the ship. "Alright, well, this seems to be a wash, and it's getting pretty late, so the captain wants to head off. Let's get going. Drinks on me for a successful lead, got it?"
Asterios The trap is set. The heroes wait in ambush. Patiently, they stand in silent vigil until their prey is in position.

But where... is the bull of the labyrinth...?

Well, actually, he's pretty good at this whole ambush predator thing. It was, in fact, his schtick back in the days where all he'd do is wander an endless maze eating whatever he could find. It turns out that living underground for hundreds of years with nothing to do teaches you, among other things, how to be very, very patient.

And so... The minotaur is actually not visible, at the moment. He's hiding! Kind of. How do you hide a giant bull man?

Uh.

Carefully...?
Deelel They were on the hunt now, Deelel was Keen to do this and do this by the numbers so to speak. Well it was more of a stakeout to use the term? She had no real sign of trouble with this. She may just join Arthur in playing smashbrows while they wait. Also trying to not think she might be using a system where there were beings like her connected to it. She looks over ot Krusty for a moment after Arthur does terrible things to her in the game.

"You want a go?"
