Josuke Higashikata Asellus is Josuke's friend, and she has a serious problem, and he intends to try and help her with it. These Mystics... everything he's heard about them -- and what he's experienced himself -- indicates they're very close to vampires. That charisma from Orlouge... Jotaro told him that Dio had been like that, that he'd been able to make people sit and take notice of him with a look, that he would make even grown men marvel at his beauty.

And he remembers Jotaro mentioning Joseph's 'Hamon', the only thing that really hurt Dio, way back in the 1880s. But Joseph was far too old now to fight vampires. Besides, Joseph never really kept up with his training after defeating Kars and the Pillar Men. And now he was too old -- and had too much brain damage -- even to teach someone else how to use it.

But Josuke knew someone who could...

So once again Josuke finds himself heading to Windknight's Lot again, on serious business this time. He's bothered to dress the part again, in that properly period suit he wore last time... but he's brought his car, the gift from Leyanne 'Tiny' Mace. It's a small car -- a Mini Cooper -- so maybe it won't cause too much of an uproar. Besides that, he's driving right past the town anyway. He's heading straight for the castle that seems to loom over the town like a great beast ready to pounce.
Jonathan Joestar Windknight's Lot looks substantially better these days as Josuke passes through on his frightening black motorized carriage. Understandably, he almost gives several of the older folks who still happen to be kicking a heart attack, as he drives up the road to the Castle. The outside, at the very least, seems to be in good, presentable shape. Up close like this, the veritible fortress almost looked inviting in its regality, if not for the stains upon its visage, reminders of its history in the form of the Dragon Decapitation Chamber, still untouched yet visible from the side, and the doubtlessly still abandoned far towers of the structure. There was only so much one man could do to restore the property in his down time, after all.

Yet, by the same merit, Jonathan staying here by himself more often than not, given Erina's unpleasant experiences here, gave the otherwise lush greenery and brighter surroundings a solemn air.

The front door is just up ahead. What will you do?
Josuke Higashikata Josuke can see at least one of these poor people he's startled with his car as he drives past. "Sorry!" he calls out as he passes. He winces. Really, he doesn't want to scare these people -- they've been through enough. But this is important, and he couldn't be bothered to stop in London to get a proper carriage.

As he drives up to where the castle is, though, he thinks, ''('Flowers.')'' He'll have to remember to bring some flowers for the property. Flowering bushes, maybe -- hyacinths or hydrangeas. He'll have to do some research to see what plants would be better where. It would probably brighten up the place a little. Now, though... Josuke has other business!

He gets out of the car and heads for the door, pausing. Should he knock? Yell? Well, there's probably a way to knock, so he'll do that. ''('I hope he's here... I don't want to scare anybody driving back into town...')''
Jonathan Joestar After several sharp knocks, the massive iron doors of the Castle begin to move. And -- they reveal the burgeoning behemoth of muscle, Jonathan Joestar, manhandling them as if they weighed very little. Considering the sheer size of the Castle grounds, it was probably a sign of good fortune that Jonathan happened to be in the main hall when Josuke had arrived. "Ah -- it's you ... "

The gentle giant smiles softly. "You'll have to forgive me Josuke, your visit is on such short notice, I don't have any refreshments for you. Please, come in."
Josuke Higashikata Josuke still has manners enough to offer a smile when the door opens. "Hello," he greets. When he's invited in, he nods and offers a respectful bow of his head and, "Thank you." He will of course enter when bade to, and he'll wait until the doors are closed again before he speaks up again.

It's the mention of the refreshments that he responds to first. "Thanks... that's okay, though, I'm here on urgent business," he assures. "Do you have a few minutes to talk about something, Mr. Joestar? It's really important."

Josuke doesn't feel the need to hide his feelings here, and Jonathan can probably see the urgency in his expression; whatever it is, it's incredibly important, and he's worried about out. But it's not just that. If there was any doubt that he's a Joestar, one look in his eyes should utterly destroy it -- that is the Joestar Determination there in his eyes.
Jonathan Joestar Jonathan's expression took on a notably grimmer look as Josuke posed his question. It was clear as day that whatever brought Josuke here today, was no laughing matter. Straightening out his small red bow tie, Jonathan nodded sternly. "Of course, you look like something big is going on. And if you've come to me, I have no illusions that it surely must relate to the occult. What can I do to help?"
Josuke Higashikata Josuke nods. "I'm afraid it does," he confirms. Though when he starts to explain, he hesitates a moment, raising his hand to rub at the back of his neck. Where does he start? Though after a moment, he nods, and then turns his gaze to Jonathan again. "There's... there's a world where this girl, her name's Asellus, was... I guess something happened to her, and she got somehow made into a half-blood of this species called 'Mystic'. One of these Mystics ran over her with a carriage, and turned her into one so she wouldn't die.

"But there's a problem with that," Josuke continues. "This Orlouge, that's his name, it seems like he regularly does this to girls. And after they're 'his'... they're literally HIS. He treats them like possessions, taking them out when he wants to play with them, and then putting them back in these glass coffins and making them hibernate when he's not using them."

This is when his expression takes on a distressed look. "I saw this Orlouge guy, and... well, does this sounds familiar to you? In his presence, I couldn't look away from him, and I felt an immediate and overwhelming urge to kneel, without him having to say a single word. When it became necessary to stand against him, I had to force myself to over a really strong feeling that I really shouldn't do that, even though it was unquestionably the right thing to do." He pauses here. "...Does any of that remind you of anyone you know?"

He's not going to make the connection himself. No, he wants Jonathan to come to his own conclusion. He probably will -- Josuke knows he had to get his smarts somewhere. Sure, from Joseph, but Joseph had to get them from somewhere too.
Jonathan Joestar Jonathan tried hard to resist his initial urge to decry the 'Mystics' as soon as Josuke started to mention them. After all, he'd promised on his honor to give these ... alternative vampires a chance. They weren't like DIO, not all of them at least. And he'd even managed to make a comrade out of several already, living proof that his bias was while well founded, not entirely accurate. And so, Jonathan waited.

And Josuke, who had rarely seen anything beyond Jonathan's gentle side, bore witness to his fists becoming so tight the leather of his gloves began to groan in protest as they were torn. The look on his face was rigid in its stony, sour frown.

Because while Jonathan was never subject to Dio's wiles, the results of the vampire's charisma spoke for itself. The horrors he witnessed that night would haunt him his whole life, and if this thing was anything like him, then it was Jonathan's duty to help put him down.

Though, it was easy to forget that Josuke's involvement in this began with a girl. Perhaps history had a habit of repeating itself? "I can tell when I'm being goaded, Josuke. But if what you say is true, the monster has to die, and soon. The longer he's allowed to be, the harder it will become to siege his home and eradicate him. And you ... "

He wasn't suited to destroying vampires. But, given his Joestar blood, perhaps ... perhaps Jonathan had managed to pass his gift down? He wasn't good for destroying vampires /yet/.

Without warning, Jonathan jabbed his index finger straight into Josuke's sternum. "Hamon!"

        Koooooooooh....!!

Unfortunately, he was no Zeppeli. Chances were, this was going to hurt Josuke, a lot, as he tries to forcefully create a breath of ripple in him the same way his mentor had done to him.
Josuke Higashikata Yup. Jonathan made the connection. Josuke can tell that pretty much instantly, given how he's reacting -- the clenching of fists, the dark frown and sour expression. If he'd been anyone else, Josuke would have been afraid. Fact, it was a little scary to look at anyway, truth be told. It's only because Josuke knows Jonathan's not going to hurt him that he doesn't take a step back from the display of temper.

Though the mention of goading him gets a surprised look. "What? No, I'm not trying to goad you," he replies, raising his hands. "I didn't want to just immediately say it was like him," he explains. "And I might have been totally off-base. You know him better, you know what happened better. I was just trying to get your take on---" Suddenly...

POW!

"Agh!" Josuke staggers back from the stabbing into his sternum, his knees failing him as the air is forced out of his lungs. What the hell?! His expression says it clearly... mainly because he CAN'T say it, all the air in the room seems to have disappeared.

He doesn't pass out though, that's a good sign. But that may not be exactly what Jonathan's looking for. But just as Jonathan might be about to decide that no, that gift didn't pass down... Josuke blinks, as if surprised. "...What...?" He starts to straighten his back, rubbing his middle. "It doesn't hurt so much all of a sudden. And what's this... strange warmth inside me?"

Aha! There IS hope, after all!
Jonathan Joestar Jonathan nods after a very patient stare. "I'm sorry, but the only training I know is the kind my Teacher put me through to prepare for Dio. And unlike me, you likely have even less time to prepare yourself. You just released a ripple, and no matter how small, that enough means you have the neccessary potential."

If he could just get Josuke to be able to charge his body with Hamon, even that much would be enough. He didn't need to try and build power, just consistency, Josuke's stand should do the rest. At least, that's what he theorized.

"Your first lesson is to regulate your breathing. Exhale every ounce of oxygen and then breath in -- hold your breath. That's called box breathing. Once it becomes second nature to you, Hamon will come easily."
Josuke Higashikata Josuke nods, understanding Jonathan's explanation. He had been intending to ask, yes. It seems Jonathan understood him without having to -- his ancestor is indeed as clever as he's been led to believe. He stands slowly, rubbing at his middle -- that's gonna be a bruise later. But if it's part of him learning how to use Hamon, it's a small price he's only too happy to pay.

Jonathan's instruction gets a thoughtful pout. "Breathe like it's my first breath?" he reasons. "I think I can do that. Like this?" He exhales deeply, trying to empty every bit of air out of his lungs -- much like that punch to his middle had done -- and then breathes in. Then repeats. Sure, it has to become second nature, but he has to learn to do it right before he can learn to do it right without thinking.
