Rarity Lazy weekend afternoons were few and far between sometimes, so Rarity was making the most of it as she could -- spending time with her younger sister. Sweetie Belle had done really good for the end of the school year so Rarity had taken her to the ice cream shop for a congratulatory milkshake with her friends. But while the trio was inside likely making unintentional chaos while trying to decide what flavors they want Rarity sat at one of the outside tables, a compact open in her hooves while she touched up her lashes via her magic telekinesis.
Asellus     A man suddenly fades into existence across the table from Rarity. Tan-skinned, red hair in a short, spiky 'ponytail', a dark, sleeveless gi... Kind of looks like a fighting game character. He appears first as a shadow, and then that shadow becomes flesh and blood. His greeting is as simple and abrupt as his entrance. "Yo! I'm recruiting for a jail break. Want to help?"
Rarity     It's not directly behind her but Rarity's attention is so on the mirror in front of her that she fails to notice the shadowy visage taking shape across the table. A few pony passerbys stop to look a moment... then shrug and continue on. Some stranger shifting out of the darkness is far from the strangest thing seen in Equestria, multiverse or otherwise.
Rarity on the other hand lets out a yelp of surprise, the eyeliner dropped as she fumbles the compact back and forth between her hooves a few time before catching it and clamping it shut so the mirror doesn't get broken. She lets out a sigh of relief... only to realize how far forward she's leaning off her seat just before toppling off.
She pops back up a moment later, giving her head a shake to dislodge some debris from the curls of her mane. Then narrows her eyes slightly at the now corporeal fellow. "At least announce yourself properly before scaring a lady half to dea--" Pause. Then a more scrutinizing squint of one eye at the gi clad man. "--Jail break?"
Asellus     The man says, "Yep. Someone you know. I've already talked to Marisa and Josuke, and they're in. But they could still use all the help they can get, and since you seemed to have such an interest in seeing her free, I thought I'd check with you if you'd be willing to keep Asellus safe until she reaches the extraction point. You know, because I'm going to be setting a bunch of monsters loose as a distraction." There's a pause, then he says, "Oh, and the name's Zozma."
Rarity     The scrutinizing look remains, but when familiar names and the fairly blantant hint in relation to them gets the expression to lighten. "... I suppose 'jail' is a polite way of putting her... predicament." Rarity turns to the table properly, leaning forward on it a bit to steeple her forehooves together. "... You're another Mystic, aren't you Zozma?" It's the most logical conclusion to the way he got the jump on her so easily.
"So forgive me for asking dahling, but as much as we will surely appreciate the assistance, what is your stake in doing so?" Rarity can't help but wonder what reasons the man would have to help.
Asellus     Zozma shrugs. "Is everyone going to ask me that? What would be your reason for helping her? Do you need to be paid? Or is helping someone in a bad sitation not good enough? I mean, I also think Orlouge is an awful tyrant who needs to be taken down, and that Asellus might be the one to do it someday... But only if she chooses to. The whole point is to get her free so she has the option of deciding for herself."

"And yes, I'm a Mystic. A banished one, because they don't care for my disrespectful conduct. But they can't really stop me from coming back either. And yet, even though no one but Orlouge has the power to prevent me, even I, with all my strength, can't take him down alone. But Asellus..." He scratches his chin idly. "I'm not the only one who noticed her enormous potential. Humans have the capacity to grow at a tremendous rate if they survive their battles, but they start off so flimsy that they usually die before they can become strong enough. Mystics start off strong, but we have to feed on others to advance, or else spend centuries for the most incremental improvements. Our immortality gives us the time to do so, but catching up to someone like Orlouge..."

Zozma paces a little bit, silent for a short time, and then turning to Rarity. "Asellus can access the power of Mystics, but also has the growth potential of humans. She just needs to be kept safe long enough to realize it. A Half-Mystic has virtually unlimited potential. And I believe she is fated to face Orlouge someday. But she must choose to fight if she's to succeed. And she'll need allies along the way."

Zozma puts his arms behind his back. "Is that thorough enough for you?"
Rarity     At the response Rarity smiles with an apologetic hint, though waits for Zozma to finish his explaination. "You will have to forgive those not of your world, dahling. Some may of been worried you were a spy for Orlouge trying to feel out ... trouble to his plans. Many have been through their own experiences that make them wish to be sure of the help they accept." Then settles back into her own seat. "So yes, that is, and I appreciate the explaination."
The smile turns to a more mischevious little smirk. "Just let me know when the time comes. I've already taken some... precaution to better our chances at locating Asellus within the grounds." Twilight would be so proud of her, actually planning ahead.
Asellus     "Good. If you have any allies you'd like to bring along, don't hesitate to recruit them. Unless they'd be bad in a fight. Get in touch with Marisa, and she'll coordinate with you. I'll tell Asellus how to get out of Facinaturu. Just follow her and keep her safe." He two-finger salutes Rarity, and then Zozma just fades out of existence without so much as a good bye. He turns into a shadow. And then he turns into nothing.
Rarity     Rarity just stares at the spot Zozma goes dark and fades from for a moment, then finally slumps back in her chair with a shake of her head. "You would think between Pinkie Pie and Twilight I would be use to people making such sudden departures..."
