Owner Pose
Asellus     The center of town in Shrike is comprised of some shops, some recreation locations, a hotel, and a handfull of streets. It is not a large Region. Very much more like a town surrounded by nature, with a handful of modern buildings and creations of science plopped down in ways that synergized with the trees, the streams, and the mountains. Perhaps its openness to nature and lack of any obvious obstacles to monsters is why a towering Ogre Lord found it so easy to make his way into town.

Fortunately, there was a super hero available to stand up to him! A somewhat pot-bellied figure in silver and gold armor, with an onion-shaped helmet that bears a pair of 'V' wings on the sides. Unfortunately, it seems the super hero is a bit out of practice. He dashes in brilliantly enough, striking the Ogre with a flying kick that sends silver light shining and radiating outwards, before doing a flip backwards to the street, but he stumbles a bit on his landing, and his heroic pose is awkward at best. "Foul villain! How dare you threaten this town! I, the legendary Alfarley, will show you what for!"

Some kids playing at a playground nearby look between themselves, confused. "Have you ever heard of this Alfarl guy?" "Nope." "Alfarl? More like AlFAT!" "Hey! It's unfair and rude to make fun of someone for their body shape! People come in all manner of shapes and sizes, and none is better or worse! You should show respect for those whose circumstances you know nothing about!" "You're right, sorry. What about calling him Alfart?" "Hah! Classic!"

In short, he's not impressing any bystanders. Even the Ogre just seems more annoyed than hurt by the sudden flying kick to the face. He roars and stomps, sending a tremor through the ground that knocks Alfarley on his butt.

The hero might need some back-up.
Theurgus     Arcana's been asked to continue her big sister's roamings of the Region Space zone, recording her findings and bringing back trinkets and baubles. Paid for either credits, or blood. The young DCC is seated atop a building, taking in the atmosphere when the sound of the Ogre King comes to her.

She winces, covering her face as if something were trying to burst out of her right eye, before looking over toward the source of the commotion. "The Organization... here..." she snarls softly to herself, standing and beginning to leap between the buildings, running across the rooftops and dodging amongst obstacles while using them as springboards to clear larger gaps.

Once she's close enough, she summons a silver spike, jamming it into a nearby hard surface, then calls "ACCESS!" as she leaps off the edge of the building.

Transforming midair, the DCC Candidate draws her blade, and announces her strike. "Harken upon the four winds. SIROCCO GLAIVE!" cards spall out of her deck holder, glowing green as the crystals on her Processors. Three cards move into the arc of her swing, adding Wind element to the cleaving swipe with the sword, and causing an additional 'blade' of wind magic to pierce through, digging up a furrow in the ground along the empty street behind the Ogre.
Josuke Higashikata     What the hell is Josuke doing there? Who knows? But he did see the trouble that the hero's having. Time to come to the rescue! He dashes in to the 'hero's' right side, and as Arcana attacks the Ogre, Josuke makes to help the 'hero' up. "Hey, are you all right?" he asks. He's putting himself between Alfarley and the Ogre, to make sure he can block any more incoming hits. Hopefully Arcana has that beast's attention.
Asellus     The Ogre Lord is struck by the wind attack. The huge, red-skinned, semi-bestial humanoid raises a brawny tiger-striped arm to shield his squinty eyes, set above a protruding lower jaw with a pair of tusks curving up from it. Growling with greater annoyance at his injuries, he is distracted for a moment, and doesn't follow up on attacking Alfarley as Josuke helps the superhero up.

"Y-yes! Of course! It will take more than that to topple me, young man!" He seems pretty toppled as he accepts the aid in getting to his feet. However out of practice he is, he seems fairly agile. Enough to hop up. But his balance is definitely not what it used to be as he almost falls back down again. Once he stabilizes he says, "Thank you for your consideration and aid! You seem a sturdy lad. Let us show that villain whatfor together, hm!?"

The silver and gold superhero charges off, surprisingly quick, even if the motions are very... Staggery. He leaps into the air, one fist raised and glowing, before blasting down at the Ogre Lord's back to land a shining punch!

The Ogre, meanwhile, was busy tearing up a chunk of the street and throwing it at Arcana, so is unaware until he gets hit. He staggers under the impact, mostly due to how unexpected it was, but a superhero is a superhero, apparently.

The Ogre Lord roars loudly, vibrating the buildings in the area. It may initially be unclear why, until there is a distant, answering roar.

    Well, shoot.
Theurgus     Arcana has a bit of recoil on that strike. Especially with how impromptu it was. She flares the 'wings' on her Processors and pulls back, brandishing her blade. Her odd, colour-wheel eyes widen as the ogre literally rips a chunk of the street up and hurls it at her. She's about to dodge when a kid screams in fear from somewhere behind. She can't move or the debris will crush the child, so she erects a barrier and tanks the strike.

Rubble smashes into the interlocking blue hexagons, denting and deforming them like they were made of physical matter, while the bulk of the rubble starts to annihilate against the energy screen. She loses her stance just as the rubble becomes less a giant boulder and more a large rock, slamming into her chest and causing her to 'skid' backwards in the air, a spiderweb of damaged code blossoming and sending cracks along her body from the impact. "Calling for aid? Your masters cannot save you, nor can your subordinates. The Organization's plans end here!" she announces, then starts slashing the air, cards intersecting the strikes, and loosing off a volley of multi-elemental 'blade beams'. Fire, Lightning, Wind and Ice, primarily.
Josuke Higashikata     Whoops! Josuke helps to steady the guy when it looks like he's about to fall over again. And he nods at the suggestion. "Sounds good!" he agrees, and forms up on the 'hero's' right again, summoning his Stand before him. It's armored too; maybe it'll look like it's supposed to be working with Al... crap, what was his name? Alfarley, that's right!

Quietly, so the bystanders can't hear, he whispers a suggestion! "...Looks like we've got people watching; play like I'm your sidekick if you need to. My name's Josuke."

The roar does confuse him a bit... right up until he hears the roar in the distance. "...Oh crap, it's bringing a friend." Louder he notes, for Acana's benefit, "Headsup, we're gonna have more company!" He's not going to be able to wait for Alfarley to catch up. No, as Arcana unleashes her blade beams, Josuke goes in from a different angle with a barrage of punches from his Stand.
Asellus     The Ogre, already off-balance of Alfarley's strike, and perhaps assuming the boulder squished Arcana since he's turning around, doesn't realize his previous target is still around. Until she starts monologuing, and by that point, Josuke has begun pummeling the Ogre with his Stand, making fist imprints appear all over the giant's body as he jerks and jostles under the assault. And thus, his back is turned as Arcana unleashes those multi-elemental slashes, scouring fur and skin alike, and making the giant howl in pain and fury as he is trapped with his lower body against the building, and being attacked from both sides.

A roar answers the injured cry, much, much closer, and the ground begins to tremble with a second set of giant-sized footsteps, to match the twenty-five foot tall monster's. This one is a little bit bigger, a little bit beefier, and with a darker, more purplish color scheme. The Dark Ogre comes barreling down the street, sees the situation, and somehow calls down a thunderbolt from the sky to unleash a devastating electrical strike on Josuke...!

Only for Alfarley to leap in the way while in the process of trying to perform a hero move. "Take this! Alfarley Hero Arts: Re-Al--Arrrrrghhh!" The Arrrrrghhh! was probably not part of the attack name.
Theurgus     <Damn it, they got her quickly...> muses Arcana to herself, sheathing her blade as she 'deals' a set of cards into the air near her left shoulder. "Josuke, can you handle this one? I will keep the other busy until you can join me." she calls, erecting a solid barrier behind her, which she uses to spring off of, hurtling toward the new threat.

The lightning attack doesn't go unnoticed, but doesn't deter the DCC. These monsters likely aren't aware of the significance of her Processors or what they do, so she'll trust that it isn't all electricity attacks and plow onwards.

The 'hand' shifts, and as she closes, she selects two cards. One glows red, the other green. She slashes through them, and with a kiai, launches a miniature tornado made of flames at the Dark Ogre. "Turbulant! Conflagration!"
Josuke Higashikata     In the process of pummelling the one Ogre, he doesn't see the Dark Ogre until it's too late. His eyes go wide in surprise -- his Stand's in the wrong position to protect him from it. Speaking of his Stand, his knee-jerk reaction of trying to fix things goes off. On the first Ogre. While he's distracted. This... is not likely to go well for the first Ogre, if it takes...

However, Josuke's attention is attracted by Alfarley basically throwing himself between Josuke and what might have been certain death. The teen tries to discourage it, holding his hand out and calling out, "What?! Hey, don't--!"

But he's a moment too late.

Gritting his teeth, he runs to Alfarley's side, using Crazy Diamond to try to pull the guy out of the immediate line of fire. He needs to get him out of the immediate threat area, if possible... but that first Ogre, is that one still up, after the accidental power usage? He may need to throw himself back into battle... literally, since if that first Ogre is still up, he nods to Arcana's question --

"Right!" he says, and summons his Stand once more, to literally THROW him at the first Ogre. The Stand, of course, will probably disappear, but Josuke just needs to resummon it when in range for another barrage.
Asellus     Arcana's firenado is lacking in sharks, or else it would surely be instantly lethal. As it is, it flares up in the Dark Ogre's face, grinding into him and forcing him to try to push through it, taking damage the whole time. He comes out the other side, charred and showing signs of wind errosion, but apparently intent on helping his buddy.

Except that Josuke's attack draws chunks of street and broken building back into place while the Ogre Lord is still reeling, colliding with him and passing through him on their way to their original locations, and that's enough damage to finish him off. He vanishes in a prismatic display, releasing energy into the surrounding area.

The Dark Ogre howls in rage and mourning, and then swings its fist down to unleash a shockwave through the newly-repaired street, with arrows of energy appearing and spiking down into the shockwave as it passes, just a foot or two above the surface, until the edges of the shockwave finally reach their limits and begin to deplete. Since Arcana is flying, she gets to evade the damage. It's why people buy jet boots in Koorong. Big dumb monsters use ground-based attacks that can be circumvented that way and aren't necessarily smart enough to try something else right away.

Acting on emotion and instinct as it is, it just default to a violence-based expression of its rage. It'll switch to something more appropriate momentarily, no doubt. But with it already injured, this might be a time to capitalize upon its distracted mindset to hurt it worse! Maybe enough to finish it off!

Thankfully for those still on the ground, Josuke is pulling Alfarley aside, even as the old hero struggles and insists he can still fight.
Theurgus     Arcana was hoping the attack would cause the thing to flee, but that's not the case, though it did do some damage. She grits her teeth as she watches the assault tearing up the street... then gasps as she spots some civilains cowering in the blast zone.

She sheaths her blade, kicks off another of those platforms, and dives down, covering the civilians with her body and the barrier that's still not fully recovered from the last impact it took.

More red spiderwebs of damage code blossom on her body, and her Processors as she uses them to shield the civilians.

As the blast subsides, and the debris settles again, she says one word, imperious and brooking no argument. "Run."

She then turns, missing half a wing, the other a mangled mess, but she begins to chant, drawing her blade from the sheath on her hip. "Blade with whom I have lived. Blade with whom I shall die. Serve right and Justice one last time. Seek one last heart of evil. End one last life of pain. Cut well, old friend. Bid them farewell." white cards deal into the blade, making it shine brightly, a warm, protective light. "Orin's Requium!" She sweeps the blade then jabs it forwards, aiming a beam of shining radiance at the chest of the Dark Ogre, seeking to pierce what passes for a 'heart'.
Josuke Higashikata     Josuke looks up at the battle between Arcana and the Dark Ogre, a worried expression on his face; he's out of range and can't help her. But when she instructs the civilians to run, Josuke gets an idea too. Turning to the protecting Alfarley, he notes, "Stay here. I'll try to heal you as soon as I can concentrate." He stands up, and as Arcana starts to charge up, to recite her chant, Josuke resummons his Stand.

    "CRAZY DIAMOND!"

The shout is for focus -- focus on having the Stand bash the roadway in a long strip, and then to go back behind it and 'fix' it. However, he 'fixes' it so that it's sticking up about chest-height to him, but in front of the civilians. He'll try to drag Alfarley over that way, to try to keep him clear of whatever blast occurs, but he may end up just using his own body to shield. And then he shouts to Arcana, "I made some cover! Break off and take cover if you need a breather!"
Asellus     Shielded by Josuke, Alfarley is spared any harm, as are any civilians around, because there is no backlash from Arcana's attack as it hits the Dark Ogre. The giant dies. Alfarley makes a big scene about how he's dying and must pass on his powers to Josuke, but he'll be pretty much fine with some healing, which he receives once the second Ogre dies, releasing that restorative energy to those nearby. All's well that ends well, and Josuke's repair ability can fix the property damage right up. And hey, the hotel has an imprint of an ogre face in its outer wall! A new tourist sight-seeing destination!

    The End.
