Seifer Almasy      Seifer Almasy hits 'send'. The video's uploaded to the Concord. Report done, his head sinks back against the pillows. He can't see anything, both with the acid burns and the bandage around his face, but that's not too much of an impediment; it's not like he has to go anywhere or do anything. No, right now, Seifer's just lying back and enjoying living in the lap of luxury.

...which is precisely the problem, and why he's fidgety as hell.

Seifer Almasy has *never* lived in the lap of luxury. He's *never* been a fancy person, a person with access to power and wealth. His small apartment in the Concord city was modest, even for his not-inconsiderable means. He's been told many times about the White Glove Treatment he gets as a member of the Concord but nonetheless Seifer lives like a soldier in a barracks, like a fighting-man. This is...new. This is luxury. It's soft pillows and soft sheets. It's four-poster beds and warm meals. It's...

     Hell, it's unsettling.

It doesn't take him long before he decides that he'd rather be exploring his new home than lying on his back in it. He pushes off the covers, grabs his gunblade off the side of the bed, slings his coat over his bandaged-and-otherwise-bare torso, and starts walking out of the room.

He just, he can't help himself. He wants to have a look around - well, a 'look', a look through the tip of his blade. He's always been more comfortable with a gunblade in hand, aware of his surroundings more keenly with a weapon than without.

Basically, Seifer is really damn bored, in an unfamiliar environment, surrounded by an almost uncomfortable and embarassing level of luxury for a former black ops mercenary, and stupidly stubborn about his own injuries, and all that together means that lying down is just /not/ part of his itinerary.
Tamamo no Mae     In the main throne room of the Millenium Capital, Tamamo's draped on her 'throne', staring at a few screens. "Hmm, no Servants active right now, that's a good thing." she mutters to no one in particular, a light smile coming to her face as her three tails swish behind her in contentment, a gift of sorts from a vampire. "Ah, with a new Master, I should start conquering lands again, I'm sure he'll enjoy the exercise." there's a swipe on the window and it closes, the fox righting herself into that throne.

Another window pops up, it's an overhead shot of Seifer wandering the halls, "Mmm? I thought he was going to rest..." she shakes her head and, through the corridors of the Capital, echoes her voice, "Come to the throne room, my Knight." it's a playful, inviting tone, "You're close by, Tamamo figures we can have some tea, or we can walk together." she let's out a content sigh, this one was more active and more bold compared to her last one...

    It was a bit worrisome.

"Hmm, I wonder what he likes..."
Seifer Almasy      Seifer almost jumps at the noise. Tamamo can literally see him switch from 'kind of just walking' to 'holding his gunblade out' until he realizes it's her, and then he slings the weapon back over his shoulder and tilts his head slightly. He's at least adept at moving when he's blind; he doesn't do that thing a lot of people newly-blinded do where they still try and look for things.

She calls him her Knight again, and Seifer's face turns a bright red on the screen. She can literally see him overheating. He nods and starts navigating his way there.

Which is not an easy task, since he's been here like ONCE and he's also blind, but hey! Seifer's not one to stray away from uneasy tasks, especially when a lady asks!

Especially when the lady is his sorceress. His sorceress. That puts a huge grin on his bandaged-up face. /His/ sorceress. Not just a sorceress he's guarding but the sorceress he's pledged to. The sorceress he's...

The Command Spells on the back of his hand almost itch as he flexes it slightly.

He makes his way into the throne room after some serious effort (and at least one wrong turn, which he plays off as completely intentional now that he knows she's watching). Tamamo gets a really good look at him as he enters - bandaged eyes, bandaged cheeks, strong bared chest full of scars and bound tight from the bullet wound, right arm in a sling, gunblade over his shoulder and coat draped around his back, the works. He walks over to her, and...

..kneels. He kneels, lowers his head, and says, "I'm here."

Then he straightens and puts a big grin on his face. "I'd love to spend some time with you, foxy lady. Let's take a walk. If I have to sit still for too much longer I'll go nuts."

His face reddens a bit, again. "And, I mean, we could hold hands. So you could guide me around."

Yeah. He's kind of a dork when his walls are down.
Tamamo no Mae     Tamamo gives a slight chuckle at the overheating and she keeps on watching him as he makes his way to the throne room. As he walks, she snaps her fingers, lights brightening in the room so she can better see him when he walks in. The bandages were expected, especially after all that fighting she heard about.

    The kneeling, however, is new..

"Welcome, Seifer." she smiles, her ears perked up a bit as she moves to meet him. "Yes, a walk does sound nice, perhaps more so if we remove the bandages from your eyes so you can see." she moves to reach for the bandages on the head, slowly undressing them, "That way you can see the beauty of your fox and the kingdom you are swearing to protect."

She'll finish removing the bandgages then go towards taking the arm without the gunblade into her own arm, entwining them, "Shall we walk? There's much to show."
Seifer Almasy      Tamamo unbinds the bandages. His face is currently /real/ messed-up. It'll heal - and it'll be handsome again when it does - but right now there's such an ugly burn there across his eyes that it probably hurts more than a little to look at. It might hurt more to look than it hurts Seifer to have.

He rubs his eyes with his good hand, the gunblade holstered at his belt before he does so. Light hurts. After a minute, the light clears, and his eyes fall on Tamamo as she takes his arm.

"...yeah," he says, blinking at her, "Yeah, I, um."

     "Yeah."

     He swallows.

All the swagger in the world doesn't help when you're being confronted with something like *this*. Three years ago he was a troubled kid in a secret military academy, an orphan in a dorm acting out at people less talented and less intelligent and less capable getting promoted above him, at kids who were less skilled than him getting sent on assignments that might get them killed with no support and no understanding of their troubles. Three years ago he was an acting-out bully trying to get the rest of the school to get on his level.

Now he's standing in front of a goddess, on the moon.

Seifer's hand makes its way into hers as she starts walking. "So this really is the moon, huh?" He says as they walk, "What happened to make it this way? And how come you're Queen of it? And, like..."

     "Are there any *people*?"

Seifer's mind is racing a mile a minute. His heartbeat's the same; Tamamo can feel it, since she's got her arm around his left arm, and his left hand is in hers. His pulse is quickening. "...and, like...do you like reading?" He asks, and he's *aware* of how lame it sounds, but he asks it anyway.

"Oh! Yeah! Speaking of stuff you like, how'd you like the food? I got it from that place I was fighting the cannibal pirates. Was it good, or should I look for somewhere better next time?"
Tamamo no Mae     Tamamo's look at the face isn't one of disgust but one of care, wounds can heal. The confirmation was all Tamamo needed to start walking, out of the throne room and out towards the main hall, "It is, in a sense. The Moon Cell. We're physically on the moon, but the world is managed by SE.RA.PH... and I, as its queen..." she holds up her hand with the Regalia on it, the beautiful ring it is, "can command it. Whatever you wish... within reason."

bright smile is still plastered on the fox's face, "To make a long story short, Earth got ravaged, summoned us, had a grail war, I won... along with a Saber and Archer who I shall not name, even if I hate them both." she huffs a bit before heading out towards the main foyer, showing off the landscape.

"There are no people aside from us, though, I have drones to keep my land safe when I'm not around. Some servants have been trying to occupy my land, and it's a fight to keep them away." she hmms a bit, "Reading is good, I do it on occasions. I do like to cook for my Master though, it's much more rewarding!" another pause, "As for the food you obtained, it was delicious, perhaps we can go there together next time and have a meal there."
Seifer Almasy      Seifer appreciates Tamamo's look at his face. Pride is a powerful force, and Seifer's pride is the kind of pride that shapes a world in his head. He had been expecting a flinch or a wounded look or a look of disappointment. Instead, it's just...caring.

How long has it been since somebody looked at him like that? Someone like Fujin and Raijin? Three years? ...more? He can't remember. There's...hints, in the background, of some other figure, someone more matronly, smiling at him and petting his hair when he got hurt, but it's a haze, a fuzz, a...thing lost to the past. Something lost in the mists of time.

Tamamo is here and now and her look of concern is the most beautiful thing he's ever seen.

"You already made my wish come true. For real." Seifer's fingers twine into hers. "And I'm not the kinda guy to need magic to make my wishes come true. I'm the kinda guy who thinks that if I can't do it myself it's not a wish that should. Shortcuts are for other guys. Maybe if I earned it in one of these War things, but right now, I've got everything I want."

Seifer looks embarassed as they walk. "Actually, way more than I want. Kinda miss my stiff old cot. I'll adjust, though. Wouldn't be very comfortable for you." His face goes red. "I don't even know if we're supposed to do that kind of thing, like, sha..." He just trails off, too embarassed to think about it.

"I haven't figured that stuff out yet. So...till I do, probaby shouldn't go back to get my cot or anything, and just get used to that big-ass bed, right?"

He doesn't ask /what's Earth/, though a look of uncertainty does cross his face when she mentions it. Context clues are enough. He's not *stupid*.

"No people, huh. Sounds like you were super lonely, Tamamo."

She likes reading, and he grins at that. "I figured I'd, like...I've got a copy of my favorite book, so...I figured it'd be nice if my wi..."

     "If my wif...."

Yep, there's that overheating look again. Finally he manages, "If I could read it to my sorceress. I've got a copy of the movie, too."

"Yeah, I'd like that. I'd like to go see the Multiverse with you." Seifer looks around. "Have you been to a lot of places? Seen a lot of things? You mentioned you...had somebody before me, which, you know, I'm kinda curious about but also not, 'cause I'd rather not feel like a replacement, you know? Did you go a lot of places then?"
Tamamo no Mae     When fingers twine together, she immediately moves close, "I'm glad then." she sighs, a content sigh. "If you wish for your old cot, you can have it, if it makes you more comfortable and at home. I just sleep in my futon, in My Room. Which you should be using too, it heals you as well, slowly but surely." she nods, "I don't mind sharing my futon with you, it would be preferrable." there's a bright smile into a small mischiveious grin, how long until she can make him overheat again.

"Mm, it is lonely up here, but with you, perhaps we can gain some subjects." she nods, "There should be plenty of people who would like a stable place to live in exchange to serve the Queen and her Knight."

The book is brought up and she hmms, "What kind of book is it?" she questions, leading Seifer past the Teleportation Platform and towards a bench. "And movie? I suppose we should obtain a video player for My Room then? As for places I've been, it's been mostly to other worlds Japan. One of them I'm not allowed back, and one I have to be 'careful' so I don't anger the exorcists there. That's the world where I work."

The subject of someone before her is mentioned and she wilts slightly... "Ah, my mouse... timid thing with a sentient robot cat. When they combine together, they scared me.. it was like I lost my husband every time." she frowns slightly, "But she... she had to break our contract, every time she did that, she was hurting the Regalia and SE.RA.PH... I... cried."
Seifer Almasy      Instantly. She can instantly make him overheat.

The mere suggestion of it has Seifer go silent. The mere *idea* of it. For all his bravado he's still a teenager, nineteen years old, with profoundly cultural ideas about this kind of thing. For all his...his /swagger/, all his flirting, all his 'foxy lady' comments and all his ability to hit on other women, Seifer is not a man who has closed the deal. Kissing is still something he's done maybe a couple times in his life, with maybe two people. Intimacy is...not Seifer Almasy's strong suit. Intimacy is in fact the opposite of his strong suit.

"Uh," Seifer says helpfully at that.

He'd probably be tugging at his collar if he could. Tamamo can *see* the war in his eyes - morals and cultural mores warring with desires and hormones. He opens his mouth, he starts to nod-

Oh thank Hyne she changed the subject. Seifer rallies his thoughts valiantly as she brings up people living there. "I mean...I was just curious. I don't mind if it's just the two of us. A world for just the two of us sounds pretty romantic, doesn't it?"

"Speaking of romantic, that's what the book is. The Sorceress' Knight. Sounds pretty familiar, right? Bet you can guess what it's about." Now this is familiar territory. "The movie, too. It's been my guiding star since I was a kid. And it's important to me in a whole lot of ways. Probably the most important thing of my past. One of the only things I thought was worth bringing with me into the Multiverse. And I thought it'd be nice if I could read it to you. Like, on...on the...on our..."

He fumbles. Context is clear, but boy, he is *not* good at this.

"You work in a world you're not allowed in, huh. Yeah, that sounds right. People are always looking to get in the way of talented folk, right?" Seifer kicks the ground as they walk. "Just...get in the way of people more talented than they are, tell 'em what to do, boss 'em around. Concord's nice for not doing that, but I'm not surprised you got screwed over like that, foxy lady. Although, uh...so Japan...is it nice?"

She wilts. Seifer immediately knows he made a mistake. On instinct he extricates his fingers from hers and reaches up to scratch her ears. He might've owned a pet before, or maybe it's something from Gilgamesh, but he knows just where to scratch to make it comfortable. A moment later, his arm hooks around her waist. He stops their walk and turns to press her against his chest, so he can look down into her eyes. There's something fierce in his, something sharp. Is this a soldier's instinct, a warrior's passion, a knight's honor, or a hero's madness? How does *that* look live in the same body as that guy who keeps overheating with little more than a word?

"She's history now. I'm here. And you don't have to worry. I'm sorry I brought it up. It's obviously painful, and I kinda shoulda figured, and we can talk about it later when you're ready."
