Seifer Almasy      Seifer Almasy just got promoted.

Now, he's not much of a drinker, but this seems like an occasion to have something. So, on his way back from Tokyo, he stopped at a place, picked up some nice rice wine. He even splurged a little for the good stuff. It's not like he's paying rent anymore!

Bottle in hand and drone helping him walk, he headed back to the Moon Cell, found his way to the dining hall, put out a pair of cups of the sort he understands they're supposed to use for this stuff, and then sat down. Seifer's really, really not much of a drinker, and it shows, but he's trying.

"Hey, Tamamo. I got you something."
Tamamo no Mae     When Seifer entered the dining hall, there was one huge covered plate and two other plates near it along with some bread, almost like it was set up for something special. There's a perk and a loud 'mikon', the fox nearby. Soft claps of shoes can be heard echoing through the kitchen and soon, the fox appears.

"Oh? What did you get Seifer?" comes the curious voice of the Caster, moving over towards the gunblade using boy. "It's just in time though, I even got you something I think you might like, something you've been craving, that isn't me."

There's a soft chuckle from Tamamo as she moves to place her hand upon the platter's lid, "Show me and I'll show you."
Seifer Almasy      Seifer coughs and goes red at 'that isn't me.' Whenever she does that she disrupts his swagger a little. It's nice, having somebody who can do that to him. Neither Fujin nor Raijin ever could. They just sort of went along with everything. They let him be an unstoppable tornado. Tamamo sort of...occasionally reminds him that he can be stopped. In his thoughts.

He coughs again and looks away from her, then sets the wine on the table with a *click*.

"I thought we could have a drink to celebrate my promotion. Seemed like the kinda thing we should do. An' that maybe we could talk about stuff while we did. An' I was in..." He struggles for a minute, before Greg evidently says something, and he nods. "Right, I was in a place called Tokyo. I was..."

     Another pause of struggled thought.

"Right. I was hearin' about maid cafes. You said you worked in one, so I figured I should learn somethin' else about 'em. Although, honestly, it's kind of a blur now, with everything that happened." He grins at her and puts both arms on the table, leaning across. "But, y'know. I figured I should learn more about my wife's hobbies."
Tamamo no Mae     Tamamo looks at Seifer, then at the rice wine. She looks back at Seifer and the rice wine again and she just /grins/. The fox is up to something. "Tokyo, Japan's capital. As for my own hobbies, the maid cafe takes care of it, and I like to cook and clean, you know, wifely duties. After all, I /am/ your wife, if not just a Servant."

With this, she lifts up the lid and shows off a mountain of hotdogs, all home made, probably better than the Garden. "Tamamo did try her best to make them, I hope they look good and taste even better. I'll pour the drinks, you just help yourself ok?"
Seifer Almasy      Seifer may end up regretting this decision.

That's what he gets for trying to be nice to his evil fox wife, clearly.

His eyes light up, though, at the pile. Still, he's got decent table manners not to just snatch 'em up. "You're the best, Tamamo." He puts three on his plate and just sort of sits there, letting nostalgia wash over him. It's...been forever. More than forever. Yeah, he could've probably just gotten a hot dog in the Concord's city, but...but it was different. It wasn't...it didn't...

It just was. He didn't know how. He just knew it was different.

This brought a rush of emotion back to him. Fujin standing there offering him a hot dog in her monosyllabic voice. Raijin holding his spot in line. People, faceless, shuffling about the cafeteria. People he knew, or didn't know, or didn't care about. Some guy with a tattoo on his face. A chicken of some kind? It was fuzzy. His fingers go to his head as the memory hits him like a truck.

     Shit.

He smiles, and takes a bite, and it's like sitting back in the cafeteria with his friends. No, it's...better. It pushes the thought aside and fills the room with this one, with the Moon Cell. The flimsy memory explodes, and soon it's Seifer, Fujin, and Raijin in the Moon Cell, Tamamo leaning across the table in a suggestive way and feeding him, and bits and pieces of the Garden in his mind fall apart.

     Seifer grins at his wife.

"This is fantastic. You're amazing. You're the best, Tamamo."

"So, hey." He shifts a bit as he eats. "Remember how I was asking you if there was anything you didn't tell your old...your exs? Not because I thought you were lying or anything, but because...y'know..."

"...I wanna be indispensible. I don't want you to ever want to replace me. And I wanna know everything about you."

Seifer scratches the back of his neck and looks away. "It's selfish of me, I guess? But...I mean..."

"I buy into this stuff, y'know? It's something I've wanted for a long, long time. An' I don't know why you left or broke up with or what came between you an' them, but I don't want anything comin' between us."

"So if you've got anything you wanna tell me, you can. An'...I'll tell you anything you wanna know, too. Anything at all."
Tamamo no Mae     Tamamo just watches her knighty husband pick a few up off the pile. The compliments make Tamamo smile brightly as she moves to sit down next to him, a sake dish in one hand, the rice wine in another. She pours just a bit, a tiny bit and offers it towards Seifer. "Sip it gently. Savor the flavor. If it's too strong for you, it's okay, Tamamo will drink it all."

And the resulting drunk-fox will be hillarious.

Her tails twitch behind her at the questions, pondering on how best to answer... "Well... my most recent one... she left me because it was hurting the Moon Cell and the Regalia. The one before her, Hakuno, we split off mutually, mostly because the strain of keeping two Servants was a bit much..." a pause, "That, and I disliked Saber."

"Before all that... it was my past you may have read in history books, othwerise, I've said all about me." she gives a slight sigh. "Tell me how you met Greg."
Seifer Almasy      Seifer takes a sip. "It's not the first time I've drunk, y'know," he says, "We used to have parties at Garden. Had to dress up, dance. Plus, infiltration. Often had to learn to do stuff like taste alcohols and proper methods of holding your drink. It was part of becoming a SeeD." A dark look crosses his face as he sets the wine down and takes another fierce bite.

He chews. She tells him how they broke up. He nods and rubs his arm. He clearly doesn't want to wind up hurting the Moon Cell, and he clearly doesn't want to hurt her, either. A few moments later, she asks him.

"So..." Seifer sets the cup down and looks down at the table, forcing his way back through hazy memories.

"A while ago, there was an...exam. Me and two other guys were put on a team, and we went into enemy territory to secure a position. I...let myself get outta control. Went lookin' for glory, lookin' to make a difference, rather than sit there and hold the plaza. I ran off lookin' for a fight, they followed me 'cause I was their captain."

     "After that...I failed."

Seifer looks away from her and sets his cup down. "I was dragged into disciplinary. They put me in cuffs. Sat me down at an iron table. Told me I was in big trouble. Told me I'd jeapordized the mission. Told me I might be suspended. Thrown out. This was after the party for the graduation, where I danced with my then-girlfriend and introduced her to the headmaster."

Seifer shakes his head. "Garden staff...they were assholes, but Headmaster Cid was a nice guy, y'know? He wanted us to be heroes, not mercenaries. My then-girlfriend had a job for 'em, an' she couldn't pay well, but Cid accepted it on her behalf 'cause it was right."

Seifer slams his fist on the table. "So they give it to three fresh rookies an' send 'em off to die."

"I couldn't take that shit. I broke out. I injured a buncha guys in the process, too, some of 'em full-ass SeeDs. Stole a jeep. Drove off."

"Wound up at Odin's temple. You remember that story, how I killed Odin with his own trick, reversed his sword? Well, the sword spun up, cut through space. Out of space comes Greg, shoutin' shit about the dimensional interval or somethin'. An' then he notices me an' asks if I'm the one who beat the sword's owner, I say yes, an' he asks me if I want to get even better. I say yes."

Seifer shrugs. "Next thing I know, he's my Guardian Force, an' the universe is collapsin' around me, an' I wake up in Grand Dorado."
Tamamo no Mae     Tamamo's on her third or fourth bon of sake... and doesn't even look /remotely/ tipsy. "So you were responsible for a couple people and went off for glory?" she hmms a bit, filling up another bon and downing it. "Ah, this is good stuff, Seifer." she grins a bit, filling Seifer's cup this time. She listens intently, her ears twitching a bit at the slam.

"Mishap after mishap, and you were just trying to make things right... and now you have a purple and yellow speaking Guardian Force in your head." she hmms a bit, "And a while later, you now have a Caster."

She thinks a moment, setting her bon down. "Perhaps this Headmaster Cid, if we were to meet them, would recognize your achievements and ... fix the mistake that was made?"
Seifer Almasy      "Nah. I failed." Seifer shakes his head. "I didn't follow orders. I...allowed myself to get swept up in the action. I knew I fucked up. I just didn't want to admit it. I wanted to be the hero, but it could've cost people lives. I wanted to go save people, but I broke out of disciplinary. It's not...I don't need any recognition or achievement from those guys."

Seifer looks off at the wall, away from his wife, with a distant glaze in his eye. "There wasn't any mistake made. The staff knew what they were doing. And I agreed with his assessment. I wasn't SeeD material. What I wanted, SeeD wasn't supposed to be. SeeD is mercenaries. They kill people for money. No right, no wrong, no romance, no helping out people in need. Yeah, I mean, I know the Concord does the same kinda thing, but the Concord can still do stuff pro bono. The only thing that bothered me yesterday was those guys treating it like a given, y'know? Like...not even a 'thank you', just 'we'll be taking that cool thing off your hands now.' Like it was expected that we'd all just sit down and be friends. That, I don't like. That's just taking advantage of you."

Seifer swirls his cup and looks back at her. "I don't like when people take advantage of me or mine, Tamamo. It's not alright with me."

He takes another swig. He's actually kinda able to handle his alcohol. "Besides! The hell do I need Garden for? I got a foxy wife. I got a job helpin' run the best team in the Multiverse. I got a great place to live! Life's great. Hell, only reason I haven't gone back is..."

Seifer looks down at his cup.

"I don't wanna lead anybody to 'em. I don't...wanna get them involved in this Multiverse crap. Garden was still my home. Home to a lotta people I don't dislike. Home to a lotta people who don't deserve what this place'd bring to 'em."

"So...I don't need to go back there." He stands up, and he walks over. He looks down at her for a long moment before he gets down on one knee, one arm over his knee, a grin on his face. "I have you, my Sorceress. My beautiful lady. My fair and precious wife."

"The hell does a knight need any acclaim but what he wins for his Sorceress?"

"An' the hell do I need anybody else for?"
Tamamo no Mae     Tamamo gives a soft nod... "I see." she chuckles, then laughs slightly, "True, they abandoned their best knight for seeking glory, for seeking action. An unchanined dog is what you need to be: feirce, loyal to few, strong. I understand." she grins, taking another drink. Now who's going to drink who under the table...

"I see, well if you're content with not going back to this Garden or seeing anyone from there, then I'll do my best to make sure you fit right in on the Moon Cell. If there's anything you want, anything you wish for me to capture, let me know. If you need me anywhere, just let me know." she grins, "Tamamo is yours to command, but... yours to do other things with too." she nods.

"And I have you, my Knight, my personal Saber, my Protector. You only need the Concord, and most importantly, Me."
Seifer Almasy      She's definitely going to drink him under the table. But he won't make it easy for her.

Seifer slips from his one-knee kneel onto the floor in a sitting position. He moves over next to her and hooks his arm around her waist. His fingers brush against her stomach. "See, you get me. You understand me. We've been together, what, like...a month? And already you understand me better than most of those morons at Garden."

A moment later, he picks her up by the waist and puts her in his lap. He's grinning. He's blushing, too. "You're right. I only need the Concord, and more importantly, you. And you only need the Concord and, more importantly, me."

His fingers work their way between hers. "I'm not goin' anywhere. You can be sure of that. You're the only girl for me, now. It's you and me together forever."

"I hope that sounds good to you, foxy lady."

He rests his chin between her ears. He's much taller than she is. "But hey, don't forget, okay? That I wanna make you happy as much as you wanna make me happy. If you want something, you just lemme know. As long as it ain't somebody else sharin' our bed, I'll do my best to make it happen."
Tamamo no Mae     "Well, my duty as a Caster and as your Wife, it requires an open ear." the fox grins slightly only to let out a curious little 'mikon' at the motion of that hand... it gets louder when she's hoisted and pulled into a lap. This isn't so bad.

"I'm glad that you won't get any other servant, or see any other than me. You won't... call any astrologists to come exorcise me, will you?" she says this in a tone clearly joking, "After all, that's how I was killed the first time you know." a laugh and she pulls one of those hotdogs over and offers it, "Open wide~!"
Seifer Almasy      Seifer grins and takes a bite.

"Actually," Seifer unravels one of his bandages as she sets it down and holds up his hand. His right hand has a different set of Command Spells on it than his left; the left hand's twine and are bound like a wedding ring and a fingerless glove. The right hand's are sharper and more direct. "This was the other surprise."

His fingers curl into hers. "I remember," Seifer says, turning her to look him in the eyes, "That you were really bummed about us not having any subjects 'sides that kid, or any people livin' here. An' I remember you wanted to show up that red bitch just as bad as I do, prob'ly way more."

His eyes remain locked on hers as he talks. "An', well. Circumstances saw me get this Crest. An' a Lancer-class Servant."

"She's your other surprise, foxy lady." Seifer touches her cheek. "She's your Royal Guard. If I'm the King and you're the Queen then she's the Royal Guard who'll keep you safe when I can't, the second subject in our court, an' the one thing that red bitch ain't got."

Seifer's lips take on a sly grin as he looks at her. "See, I realized somethin'. She ain't keepin' her minions around. They're not workin' for /her/. They're just there for the challenge, an' then they bail. All she got is people livin' there. No Heroic Spirits of her own."

He draws her right hand up and turns it towards him, so that she can see the Command Spells on the back. "But *we* got a whole extra set of Command Spells. A whole other Servant."

"Imagine the look on that bitch's face when she finds out we got ourselves a Royal Guardsman who can fight *her*? *An'* a King who can take her down!"

His grin becomes almost evil. "Just picturin' that look on her face is probably the best gift I can give you, foxy lady."

"I love you, y'know that? You're the only one for me."
Tamamo no Mae     Tamamo blinks at this new development... the second set of Command Spells.

She looks at them, then at Seifer... then back at them.

Tamamo's face is a mixture of anger and surprise... then settles on a gentle smile.

"I /want/ to be mad. I /want/ to be angry, but I cannot." she gives a brief shrug, looking at the Spells, pondering, "A Lancer, huh?" she hmms and twitches a tail or three, "Well, I was thinking more Humans, but an extra Servant to have is definitely nice. Just make sure you don't overwork yourself with /two/ Servants now. I can't afford to lose you, you know."

She eyes that grin, she knows this grin... she's /done/ that grin. "Perhaps, we should announce it to the world, then?"
Seifer Almasy      "I think," Seifer says, pulling her up against him, "We should show off my Spells tomorrow an' make that red bitch real, real jealous."

"An' I think when we do that she'll make a strangled noise an' get real, real mad."

"An' I think I really wanna see that." He grins and presses his forehead against hers. "I love you, Tamamo. You're not gonna lose me. You're mine an' I'm yours. Don't you ever doubt that. An' I'm not gonna overwork myself. Don't worry."

His fingers trail up into her hair. His other hand runs gently along her tails. "I'm not goin' anywhere. I'm too damn stubborn to give this up."
