Sanary Rondel      The pig farm is a fairly standard looking pig farm, and there's a distinct stench of pig lingering over just about everything. It's not unsanitary by any means, though, but the smell is not something one would ever consider pleasant. There's enough space to comfortably house at least double the number of pigs actually on the farm, but it appears as though the numbers are purposely being kept as they are rather than expanding further. Various vegetable farming tools are scattered around the wood fence surrounding the area, and the fence itself looks to be quite sturdy.

Off to the side of the farm is an odder looking structure: A small one story house that only looks out of place in the generally medieval-ish area because of the plastic garbage bin and cardboard delivery boxes out front.
Janine Liberi     The farm may be small and smelly, but Adelle Kaufmann is a pleasant house guest to have. She's always willing to help clean up, insisting that she always does it at home since her mother cleans up all day. She even mucks in with the pigs, in spite of her pale skin burning quickly.

It's been a short while since the attack, and the attention on Drachenblatt students has lessened enough for Janine to slip off-world and visit. She, surprisingly, is also not bothered by the smell of pigs. She walks up and pounds on the house door. "Sanary, let us in you dirty rat! We need to talk with Adele!"
Robert Speedwagon     Well, it's not like the smell is unfamiliar to Robert Speedwagon -- Windknight's Lot is in the countryside so it's likely that there either is or was someone keeping pigs. They had to get meat from somewhere, right? So yeah... it's pretty unpleasant. But not altogether unfamiliar.

Now, Speedwagon has left Tattoo and Kempo in Windknight's Lot for now, since he doesn't want to frighten Miss Adelle. He's actually a little concerned that his appearance at all might do it. So he's taken the huge chance and left both his bowler hat AND his sledgehammer back home. He's going to be at a pretty sharp disadvantage if they get accosted here, but he feels like it's worth it.

He waits a distance behind the others, waiting for the door to be opened so they can talk to Adelle. He's aware that he looks kind of rough and a little scary, so he's got his hat off -- it's the hat of the late Baron Zeppeli he has with him now -- and holds the hat in one hand. And he's trying not to look so fierce.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa had wanted to get some answers about what waz going on with the girl and she's had time to recover so here she is and calls out. "Sanary let us in I have pizza." she has a pixxa box underarm and hopes to get Sanary's attention with that to get them in. It was also good to see Speedwagon here as well as she looks on over to her friend. "Good to see you Robert, Janine. Hopefully we'll get some soon."
Sanary Rondel     Adelle's help has been greatly appreciated by the pig farmer, and her kindness over the past while has been rewarded with lots of home-cooked pork-based recipes.

And computer access, if she could ever get through Sanary's virus infested mess of a computer.

Hearing Janine at the door, Sanary finishes washing her hands before slipping on her usual white coat and answering the door. "Oi! What's dirty and ratty about me?!" She retorts with fake indignation, pausing to adjust her hair and make sure it's juuust askew enough in the front, her coat isn't bunched up in the back. Once everything's in place, she finally opens the door with an easygoing grin. "Yo, Janine. She's right inside! Somewhere. Probably just grabbing a snack or something."

Maybe probably. It's been a busy day! Spotting Speedwagon behind Janine, he gets a similar grin while she holds the door open for today's guests. "Cool hat. Not the usual, though?"

If only she knew. Meanwhile, Kotone gets a little more room on the way in thanks to her gift of PIZZA. "Oh, thanks! Been a while since I had any,actually..."

As everyone filters in, the difference between the medieval-ish exterior of the farm and the modern interior becomes even more apparent. There's wooden bowls next to boxes of sugar-loaded cereals, classical axes hanging from a walk-in closet, and a wall-mounted TV leaning against a wall on a sturdy oak desk.

At least Adelle wouldn't have to worry about being bored or disconnected.
Janine Liberi     Adelle is surprised when everyone filters in, but she manages a wobbly smile. "Hi! Uh... my mom is still okay right?" Janine flops onto a seat and nods. "Yeah she's recovering in the hospital. I let her know you were doing okay. You are, right?" She shoots a filthy look at Sanary as she says this. "I'm... fine, considering. It's nice, getting away from it all, you know?"

"I wouldn't," Janine mutters as the visitor smiles at Speedwagon and Kotone. "Thank you for your help. You two were there, right? I don't think I've ever been so scared..." Janine just rolls her eyes and slams a fist on the table.

"Right, here's the deal. You're weird, and we want to know why. We have questions, so you better answer. You lot go first because I have a ton."

Adelle flinches a little at the hard words, but gives a resolute nod. "My life has been... unusual lately. If anything about it might help, please ask."
Robert Speedwagon     Speedwagon gives the television a suspicious look. "Never did understand these bloody things..." he mutters, poking lightly at the side. It's not going to flip the TV on, no. He's just making his distrust of the thing known. And he offers a nod of greeting to Kotone, Janine, and Sanary.

However, as the attention shifts to Adelle, he offers a nod to her question. "That's right," he answers, as gently as he can manage. It's a stark contrast to Janine's harsher words, and Robert actually winces at them. Though he doesn't speak up just yet. It's not his rodeo.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa passes the pizza to Sanary with a grin it's covered in a mix of meat, cheese and veggies and the like. She will find a good spot to sit down or stand if she has to. She also takes note that Sanary's picked up some off world stuff, after she finishes the look about she seems settled in. "We were and no problem."

She now looks to the girl as they got questions. "So just what happened, do you recall how you ended up int he middle of all those shadows? Was there a point where things just went strange for you?"
Sanary Rondel      Sanary gives Janine a smug smirk as Adelle doesn't complain, but it doesn't linger for long as she doubles back to close the door and clear some space for Kotone's pizza. "Adelle's been a good helper here. Didn't ask her to or anything, but she wanted to. Picking up pretty quick, too."

Another grin of self-satisfaction at being a functional teacher, and then she raises an eyebrow at Janine's abrupt topic shift. "Getting right into it, then? Alright... Well." No place to start but the beginning. Sanary pulls up some chairs (mismatched, of course) for everyone before turning to Adelle.

"That day we kidn-uh. Found... You." No way around that awkwardness. "Do you remember what you were doing before all that happened? How you got there, if anyone brought you there, what... Uh. Any weird people you met?"

Beat. "Besides us. We already know what we did."

     Besides being kidnappers, obviously.
Janine Liberi     'Where did it start?' Adelle casts her mind back and begins to compose her answer. "Months ago. I was getting picked on at school, as usual... my mom is a janitor, so I get my tuition slashed, but, you know... poor daughter of a cleaner in a school of rich kids." She rubs the back of her neck. "Some girls had me pushed against a locker and were going to take my wallet when Arlette Sucor suddenly started going nuts on them with a box cutter. She didn't say a word to me afterwards, but... after that, I had all these other students sticking up for me. They never addressed me, but anyone who went after me got... really badly hurt."

She smiles sheepishly. "That part was awful, but it felt kind of nice being looked out for. I guess that makes me a bad person, huh?" She takes a seat herself and continues. "It was about that time I began to have dreams too. Weird ones of a scary voice talking in my head. Eventually, I started to see things from the point of view of the person talking. I saw you all, coming to fight them."
Sanary Rondel      Sanary barely flinches at the story of this Arlette person, pursing her lips for a moment before shrugging lightly at the question of being a bad person. "Why would it be? They got what was coming to 'em. Acting all high and mighty until someone fights back..."

There's a dark look on her face for a moment, and then she turns back to Adelle as her expression softens again. "Sorry. Uh." She clears her throat, then remains quiet to listen further.

Best not to try pushing Adelle into making those same mistakes. As she continues and mentions the dreams and voice, Sanary raises an eyebrow slowly while glancing towards Janine every now and then. "Us fighting the... What did the voice tell you? Did it mention us?" Rubbing her forehead lightly, she starts grabbing some plates and serving pizza to everyone along with soda in assorted collectible cups advertising random movies.

She's not about to forget to be a good host for these sudden guests. "And... Arlette. Have you seen her since that incident? Or heard of where she is?"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa seems to be taking mental notes as Adelle gives them some more background details, she has to wonder about a few things but it sounds like she may have a shadow on the wya or is it something else? Still the story gets a sympathic look from Kotone, she's been there, she's been there. "Sounds like it's been rough for you at scool but vocies in your dreams....hummm" She gives Janine a look for a moment. Almost as if to say you think it's a shadow?
Janine Liberi     "She was there when the school attacked. Guided us to the classroom. We didn't see her after that..." She says to Sanary. "What did she say?... she had 'plans' for the world. Wanted to flood it with her servants. She was so..." She takes a moment to grasp the word. "Jealous. Of everything, everyone. Wanted to be at the top of world, wanted to be the one in charge. She wanted to 'snuff out bravery' to get back at Seigfried. She didn't make a lot of sense."

Janine looks at Kotone and rolls her eyes. "It was the Black Queen, stupid. Suddenly having kids at school look out for her? They're Changlings. Those didn't stop being a thing." Adelle looks a little sad at that. "So this... Black Queen wanted them to protect me? But why?" Janine looks at everyone. "Remember what the Woodsman said? That this bitch was hiding in a Shadow? I guess it was her Shadow. She was just an unfortunate bystander..."

She walks out the door, face grim. No doubt remembering how intent she was to kill Adelle in the school.
Sanary Rondel      "Of course she would be... Gah." Sanary groans in annoyance as the pieces start clicking together (largely thanks to Janine spelling it out for her), rubbing her forehead again. "But if that means we're still going up against what's left of her, then..." Then what /does/ that all mean? They've already fought the Black Queen before, so a second time should be easier.

Should. Finding her, though, would be another story. Sanary munches on a slice of pizza, eating all of the crust first before glancing towards Janine in response to Adelle's query.

"Complicated and crazy magic mind stuff. I don't get a lot of it, but.. Er. Sorry you had to get caught up in it." She coughs into he hand lightly, conveniently ignoring her own part in encouraging Janine to nearly kill the girl. "At least we know who we're going after now. Uh. Again. Sort of."

Another groan, and then she turns to Adelle. "Anyway. I dunno how safe it'll be for you to head back home yet, but it's up to you. If you want to stay here a while longer until stuff dies down or whatever, you're welcome to. I'll bring word to your parents if that's the case."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa makes no move to stop Janine, as she gets up to leve there's some things to think about here. "Your right as long as the queen is there the changlings won't be stopping but that hints just how many people have been replaced." She szhakes he head there's a lot she doesn't understand too she's always in over her head on this...
Janine Liberi     Adelle looks to Sanary and smiles awkwardly. "It would feel... weird, going home without mom there. I might stay until she's better, if you'll have me. And if Janine could let me know when that is." The girl in question calls out 'sure' through the front door.

"And... there's one more thing. The last dream I had about her, just before you fought... she had a plan about where to go, in case she lost. First, she would escape, I think, and try to strike you down in our world... maybe that's what the attack on the school was. But also, she would hide 'in the place that bravery would never think to go, and cowardice would never dare to tread.' I don't know if that means anything to you, but..."

"If that's all, let's get going," Janine shouts. "The stink is starting to get to me."
