Scene #6121: A Quiet Night Out

Orchid	Life in the multiverse being what it is, a quiet night, when nothing major is going on, is a rare pleasure, to be savored. Sometimes that means a night at home, reading or working on a project, or like tonight, Orchid grabbing a friend and bringing her along with to the famous Bar and Grill at the Edge of the Multiverse. So they've been here a few minutes so far, just taking the arcade in. Orchid nods to herself. "You know, this place gives me the oddest feeling, but I think this will be fun. Any idea where to start?" she asks her companion.
Mairead Sandilands	Another arrives and she has never been here. Looking around, the red-haired IS Pilot, Mairead Sandilands, The Inifinte Stratos Repersentative Cadet and Candidate of Scoutland and the IS Liasion to the Paladins, formally the Union. She walks in and blinks as she sees all of the arcades and looks aorund, "Wow," she says in her Scottish accented voice as she walks and looks at all of the games and stops when she sees the roller coaster or two. As she walks, she has no idea anyone else she may know is here and she has no idea what to do, so she looks as she walks. "Where do I start?" she asks herself as she thinks maybe she should have ate some food before coming here. She is wearing a casual dress today, instead of her IS Fuku, that is lavender in color and stops at her knees and her hair is loose and not held back like it normally is. simple green stud earrings are in her ear and a lavender armlet is on her left bicept.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa was going to have her butt under a car working on it but Orchid would have none of that as Kotone was dragged out and she looks to Orchid for a moment "Oh? Really? I just like it they keep the peace and this place has been around for ages rumour has it the owner's immortal or at least ageless." She notes and she move sto find a place to sit in one of the corners on the screen one might see a sports cast of a blitzball game of all things.
Orchid	"Ageless? At least wise at balancing things," Orchid accepts with a smile. She wanders over near where Mairead is, by coincidence. "What looks really interesting are those games for like up to six people to play, co-op," she says, pointing at an arcade cabinet festooned with joysticks and buttons.
Mairead Sandilands	Mairead jumps as someone talks behind her that she knows, "Oi Orchid, ye trying to give me a heartattack?" she asks as she turns and smiles. "Hello Kotone, how are ye two doing?" she asks them as she looks at the two and smiles. "So, what is this place?" she asks. "I 'ave never been here before."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "Who knows I don't press the food's good right? Oh wow physical arcade games... I forgot they had them here. This is the oldest bar and gril in the multiverse that I'm aware of."
Orchid	"Eh? Oh, Mairead, right?" Orchid takes a moment to link face with voice in her memory. "And this is the Bar and Grill at the Edge of the Multiverse. Kind of a grand name, but it's easy enough to get here. I've only been a few times, but it seems like a fun place."
Mairead Sandilands	Blinking, Mairead looks, "Aye," she says to the two. "Oh, so this is like one of those amusement parks, only indoors?" she asks as she looks around. "Ye know, I have never played any games liek this," she mentions to the two. "So I do not know where to start...." she adds as she ponders what to do.
Orchid	"Well, I was able to get a few tokens," Orchid offers, holding up the cheap-looking coins. "And you could call it an amusement park, there's a good bar out in the main portion, at least so I've been told." She shrugs a little. "Like I said, I haven't been here much before."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "Kotone here and not really but it's been here for a very long time. She looks to her for a moment smirking. "It's not really a park but it's not bad. I tend to come here a lot honestly Food's pretty good."
Mairead Sandilands	Thinking, she looks. "I do not know where to start," Mairead says as she shrugs. "I never got a chance to play games like this....." she adds. "Its a little... overwhelming."
Orchid	"Well, I think half the point of these games is that they bilk you for tokens by being really hard," Orchid semi-jokes, walking over to one that looks attractive. "Most have explainations of the controls," she points to the little card, "So let's see what happens." She slides the token in, presses start, and takes the joystick in her hand. Today, it's Pac-Man.
Mairead Sandilands	Looking at Orchid and Kotone, she follows them and watches, "Pac-Man?" she asks. "What is the purpose of this game?" As she watches Orchid play PAc-Man, she sees the little yellow guy eat the dots and run from the ghosts, "Do not get hit by the ghosts. They are after ye," she comments to Orchid. "I think I may try the food here as well.
Orchid	"Eat pellets, avoid ghosts," Orchid replies, nodding. Her eyes are darting over the screen, as she absorbs where all the ghosts are. Her hand moves the joystick back and forth, and she's doing alright, but not getting the fruit that pops up, and losing a life every third level or so.
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa says "geeze this is old, like maybe a second generation arcade game." She notes anx she psuses for a moment "can I have a shot?"
Orchid	"Sure," Orchid replies, stepping away from the joystick, letting Kotone take her place. "And if it's old, I think it qualifies as a classic."
Kotone Yamakawa	Kotone Yamakawa will smirks for a moment. "Oh totally this game's pre world war theee." She notes ands she gets to it Kotone however isn't playing around given she's using her full on reflexs for a gmae never made to deal with unaguymented humans....
