Nasrin     NJORUN STATION -- Axis Mundi

You would have expected something different from a die-hard, brutal killer like one from the Brotherhood of Assassins. There were two young women sitting at a table. The younger of the two had her hair tied back with a violet scarf around it, all excitement, wearing loose leggings and sturdy boots, a satchel over one shoulder as she anxiously checked and rechecked her bag. Another pack was at her side, with a rolled up blanket on top, everything secured with leather straps. SHe was excitedly explaining the latest work she had tried with her needles in making a tapestry.

The other was quiet, with a hood pulled down over her face. She was so still that she might have been sleeping, except for the tapping of fingers against the table. Sharp eyes were watching, even while her ears were occupied with the younger Leila catching her up.

Nasrin was patient, if nothing else.
Tatsuto Satou     Here's Hina! A ten-year-old Japanese girl with long brown hair, braided in a single ponytail, and bright brown eyes that hide behind a pair of wire framed glasses. She's wearing casual clothes - a t-shirt and skirt - and carrying a backpack slung over one shoulder. Out of the top of which the body of Moonmon can be seen, looking about with curiosity.

Hina has her eyes fixed with the cell phone she's holding in one hand.
Nasrin     Cellphones. They make things /very/ easy to sneak around, especially when in a city. People pay attention to such tiny screens.

Nasrin gives a small motion of her head, and LEila straightens up, and glances around, narrowing her eyes a moment, and seemingly frustraited. She reaches up and gives Nasrin's shirt a tug, and the older girl smiles, and stands, gliding through the crowded Axis Mundi with ease to Hina.

    "Hello, Hina."
Tatsuto Satou     Hina jumps about half an inch of the ground in surprise. "Oh! Um... h-hi!" She brushes some hair out of in front of her glasses, and flushes. "Sorry, I was looking at the map..."

She swallows. "Um. Hi! Nasrin, right...?" She's never seen Nasrin in person before.
Nasrin     There's a lot of people who have never seen Nasrin in person before.

But Leila comes up behind Nasrin, the eleven-year-old peering over her 'older sister's' shoulder As Nasrin stoops a little to be more on level with Hina. She pulls her hood back, and she has a round, friendly face with a curious expression on it. Her lips are pursed slightly, hazel eyes studying the other girl. "Yes, I'm Nasrin." she replies.

But the strangest thing about NAsrin's face are the four thin lines tracing their way down each cheek to her chin, like tattoos.

Leila, however, is first to talk, coming around Nasrin's side.

"Hello, Hina! I am Leila -- what is that on your pack? Is that a pet? A robot? Can I pet it?"

And it's plain to see that there's probably no blood relation between the two; they look very different.
Tatsuto Satou     Hina stares curiously at the lines on Nasrin's face just slightly too long to be polite. Luckily, she is swiftly distracted by Leila!

"Hello! Pleased to meet you!" She giggles. "Umm. That's Moonmon. She's my Digimon!" Pause. "We-ell, she's my brother's Digimon's sister, but that totally makes her my Digimon, right?"

"Moon!" exclaims the happy little droplet-thing.

"Sure, you can pet her. She doesn't bite~"
Annie Sandberg      Annie arrives, looking very cheerful as she does so. "Hi everyone," she says, looking around at those gathered. "I'm Annie Sandberg. It's really nice to meet you!" She looks intrigued by the Digimon as well; she hasn't really encountered many of them, but from what she's seen they're a rather diverse bunch.
Nasrin     "Interesting! Look at it, Nasrin! It's cute!" Leila states, and reaches up to pet at Moonmon.

And Nasrin noticed the look she got, and apparently self-concious, she pulls the hood a little further down.

"I will admit that it was very brave to come to Njorun on your lonesome; I had suspected your brother would be... less than thrilled at the offer." she gives a smile then, and there is warmth behind it. She goes to stand back up as Annie arrives, and gives a nod to the other girl. "Good evening, Annie... have you packed?"
Tatsuto Satou     Hina manages -not- to jump from startlement as Annie arrives. "Um, h-hi! I'm Hina!" She smiles.

Moonmon responds to the petting enthusiastically. She feels kinda squishy, almost like rubber. How bizarre!

Hina giggles a bit. "Well, he did take me to the warp gate, but... he said if I get in trouble, Moonmon will protect me." She lowers her voice a bit, stage-whispering. "I think he might be a bit too obsessed with Digimon, really, but..."
Annie Sandberg      "Packed?" Annie asks. "Oh, we're going to be away for a while? I didn't know that! I guess I'll have to pack something then. Like some snacks!" She grins at this. "I'll have to bring some to share too. Where are we going anyway?" Annie asks, energy building as she imagines the possibilities.
Nasrin     "My brother's /younger/ than me. And then there's Imal, who's a brother, but not my brother, the same way that Nasrin is my sister but not my sister... we have different parents. /My/ brother is obsessed with /eating/." Leila pauses. "And hitting things... hello!" Leila greets Annie with a smile.

Nasrin reaches down for her own pack. "We were heading out into the mountains near where we used to live. It can be dangerous if you are not prepared." Nasrin explains, "Water, medical supplies and comforts will be difficult to find. There are wild animals and dangerous birds, and even the ground may betray your feet."

LEila is hanging on Nasrin's every word.

"... but it is likely only for the afternoon."
Tatsuto Satou     Hina beams. "I brought the stuff I'm always 'sposed to take when me and Tatsuto go to the Digital World. Enough food for two days, Just In Case, water, a first aid kit, a change of clothes, enough computer equipment to stock a school IT department... Maybe that part isn't really necessary if we're not going to the Digital World..."
Annie Sandberg      "Well... I don't really need a lot of that stuff myself," Annie points out, after giving a wave of greeting to Leila. "Since I'm an android. But I'll definitely see if I can get together some stuff before we go anyway." She does wonder what would happen if she were damaged during the trip... but hopefully that won't happen!
Nasrin     "I have a kitten at home; she tends to tangle up my sewing if I'm not careful.. so, you are from Japan, yes? I have heard of brothers from Japan, but I do not think any of them have digimon. Are they common?"

To Annie, Leila curiously gives a look. "You are a robot? Are you carrying lasers?"

    "Leila..."

"Can you shoot things out of the sky?"

    "/Leila/..."

    "Can you--"

Nas reaches up, and clamps a hand over Leila's mouth. "Enough, little sister, if she desires to share, either of them, they will share."

Nasrin glances at the small grouping, and seems a little leery regarding Annie's presence, but lets it pass.

"Do you have any questions?" she asks, securing her pack over her shoulders and tethering it to her belt.
Tatsuto Satou     Hina hmms a bit. "Brothers from Japan? Like... ninjas?" She guesses that's what Leila meant, anyway! "Ummm. There are lots of Digimon! But most of them live in the Digital World. I don't think many people back home have Digimon in the Real World! Only me, my brother and Doctor Hunter, I think..."

She also stares a bit as Annie reveals she's a robot. "R-really..? But you look so human!"
Annie Sandberg      Annie shakes her head at Leila's questions. "I don't really like fighting anymore. I was made to make people happy, and I still try to do that, even though I've changed a lot since then." She nods toward Hina with a smile. "Yeah. It used to be a lot more obvious, but I've had some upgrades. I've even had my skin replaced!" She grins again. It sounds a lot grosser than it actually is!
Nasrin     "Oh." Leila replies, "I like making people happy too, but there's noble things in fighting the dark to preserve the light. Baba said so." she comments lightly, and Nasrin gives a momentary roll of an eye. She cracks her fingers against her side.

"Well... if we are familiar once again with each other?" she questions. PAtience is wearing, and she seems agitated, pulling her hood further down over her eyes and obscuring her face. "The mountains will not wait, and I read there is a chance of snow."
Tatsuto Satou     Hina stares at Annie for several seconds before moving on to Leila as if nothing happened. "Moonmon is a Dark-species Digimon!" she points out, happily. Seemingly simply because Leila said 'dark'.

"Oh, right, yeah, I'm ready to go!"
Annie Sandberg      "That's true," Annie says to Leila. "Sometimes I go with people who are fighting and try to help out... like getting people away from the fighting so they can be safe," she explains. "Oh, and it's going to snow? I'm not ready for that at all! Maybe we could stop by my house on the way." She may be an android, but she can still feel the cold, and she'd rather not have to endure it quite so harshly.
Nasrin     Nasrin pauses, and glances to Annie with a look of amusement. "Fine." she replies, and shoulders her pack. "To the warpgate then."

Leila walks abckwards a bit, trailing Nasrin as she walks off "Just wait until you hear Nasrin start imitating bird calls. She got /really/ good at eagles and hawks!"
