Theurgus     Theurgus felt that itching presence as she studied the plate, backing off of it and moving to look up some sealing enchantments in the main library. She orders noone to enter the chamber until she's managed to quarantine the plate behind some magic barriers to contain the wavelengths that interfere with the mind. Simple enough, but complexly layered atop one another to fully seal it.

Meanwhile, the System Bus arrives and disembarks its passenger who asks the nearest LDF officer to see the 'One who took the plate'. Knowing about their leader's recent acquisition, they send word to the Cathoderal, and an airship is sent over to bring the stranger to meet Theurgus.

The Diamond DCC meets this stranger in the main Cathoderal hall, flanked by LDF troopers as another one leads the way in.
Count Kord     Her guest arrives, floating along atop what looks like a geode. It's a strange crystal-themed fairy. It floats to a stop before Theurgus, looking deeply fretful and openly intimidated by the soldiers. It looks to the DCC, though, its crystalline head dress twinkling in the ambient light. "Hello," she speaks, in a voice made of crystal music, "My name is Diancie. I have come to explain the Plate's nature. Please, I come in peace." She fiddles her hands together, frowning sadly.
Theurgus     Theurgus watches the strange creature approach, then breaks into a smile, gesturing for the soldiers to depart before she bursts into a maniacal laugh. "Kukukuku, WAHAHAHAH! The Stone of Fate smiles upon me. A facinating artifact for certain, though mildly hazardous to those untrained and unprepared." she says, leaning back against the dias. "Thankfully I have contained the ambient psychokinetic hazard with some spellwork. I am Theurgus, the Mad Magician, and my designs for the Plate are academic." she says, expositing a bunch and sounding rather unhinged the entire time, though the spark of keen intellect shines in her eyes.
Count Kord     Diancie looks mildly alarmed by the laughter, a hand going up to her mouth. But the fae creature calms as the soldiers walk off, her head turning. "That brings comfort to me. I was afraid one of you or your allies may have succumbed to its wiles already," she says, bringing both hands to her cheeks and letting out a little sigh. Her gentle voice continues, "Those objects are pure elemental power. It would be unwise to utilize it without first refining it. I will provide you with the methods, but I warn: Do not attempt to refine them without help. The Plate may strike out and kill the unprepared. We gods, we are too vulnerable to its power to refine them, and ... we do not wish to kill the people of our world by giving them knowledge that can cause a great tragedy."

"You are free to destroy it as well," she explains, "The only concern I have is with its negative properties. Those objects are the reason the blight of the Hollowed continues to this day. The titans are merely a symptom of that force."
Theurgus     "My allies wish to create a weapon to strike down the Titans and remove the blight." replies Theurgus, suddenly becoming very serious... perhaps causing some mental whiplash to her guest. "If you can provide information, my studies of the Plate will progress faster, this weapon can be forged sooner, and the blight can be excised quicker." she adds, folding her arms over her chest, and gaining a bit of that manic air back. "Kukukuku, while this will not be my greatest achievement, it will be one of them!"
Count Kord     "A... a weapon...?"

Diancie looks... worried about that. "H... here," she says, lifting her hands and generating a glittering scroll. "These are the instructions for refinement." She holds it out to Theurgus. "Please be careful. I do not know if such elemental energy can be used in any kind of artifact. It may harm the user. Maybe... maybe you'll find a way around that."
Theurgus     "My entire driving principle if the acquisition and desemination of knowledge of the arcane." says Theurgus, reaching for the scroll. "I will ensure that should creation of a weapon prove impossible, that the Plate is destroyed so it can harm noone else." she adds, looking up from the scroll to the gem-fairy. "However, once a principle is known, and variables are understood, shaping energies is as simple as moving a few parts around a magic seal." She looks confident at that.
Count Kord     The gem fairy seems uncertain about Theurgus' certainty. "I have yet to see anyone make an object that was not immediately dangerous to its user. It has been attempted with many of the Plates in the past. Much of the nobility of the human race have tried to utilize that power, but they swiftly discovered it wasn't worth the risk. Perhaps you will be different... They are not very advanced, compared to other worlds."

"I thank you for listening. For that, I give you my blessings." She waves a hand, and a pink gemstone appears in the air. It won't be worth anything, it simply glows and acts as a token proving she has the blessing of Diancie. "I have to return to my duties. Excuse me." And with a twinkle of light, she floats away.
Theurgus     Theurgus accepts the gemstone, then makes a snap with her fingers. Two LDF troopers meet Diancie at the door and escort her back to the System Bus. They do not attempt to detain her, and even answer any questions she may have on the trip back to the exit point.

Theurgus herself smiles warmly. "I do so relish a challenge..."
