Rhongomyniad     The forest of Mercia is a good distance from the physical location of Camelot. The road entering the woods is starting to overgrow-- Folks have ceased traveling this way for several months, it looks like. Rumors of monsters in the trees probably contributed to that, and the presence of such beasts in the wake of Vortigern suggests their source is the White Dragon's brief time on this side of the World. Monsters who terrorize men cannot be left to their own devices.

This is the gist of the request placed forth by the King of Camelot, the very woman who now stands before the yawning black entrance of the wood. The breeze teases her mantle, but she is unarmed-- merely fully armored though absent of her helmet.

"We seek beasts who walk as men," she intones. The Goddess Rhongomyniad then simply steps forward into the shade of the forest. Its atmosphere is rather oppressive, unlike the usual serenity of the usual forest. A tension in the air. No birds that sing. The same atmosphere one might encounter if there was a predator nearby. But it's unclear if the silence of the animals is due to whatever lurks within these trees, or the divinity of the goddess at the head of this expedition.

For now, Rhongomyniad's path follows the road itself. Some distance ahead, a mailbox indicates a driveway, though it looks somewhat more like a game trail with how overgrown it's become. Whoever lived there moved out a while ago.

There are others, sporadically placed along this gently curving roadway, and a moss-covered signpost suggests an intersection some distance past the driveways. Plenty of spaces to investigate. But where to begin?
Raziel With a force of will, Raziel pushes himself from the immaterial to the material realm.  The world seems to change, trees changing from warped shapes to more like trees as people seem to appear in front of him.  The creature itself was a blue-skinned ghoul, with blazing white eyes and black hair.  It's feet cloven, and three claws on each hand.

It's face and chest covered by a tabard with a symbol on it.  Below that he has the structure of a skeleton with some of the meat on it.  His right arm has swirling glowing energy on it that clings to his arm like a lover.  However, the energy seems to give off a hungry attitude towards those around it.

'The Forest of Mercia, an oppressive place and filled with a dreadful feeling.  The forest itself appearing to start to overgrow, indicating that it has been some time before woodsmen or pathfinders had been through here.  A perfect breeding ground for monsters and things that prey on humanity.'

Raziel hears the words of Rhongomyniad, and as they move to walk, so does Raziel fall in line behind her.  This was her kingdom, so it was rude to try and oppose the will of those who command the lands without reason.  The eyes of the ghoul wonder around him, trying to peer into the land that sits on the other side of death.

'The King of these lands was an interesting woman herself, tall and bright, looking at her was like looking at the sun.  It was a stark reminder to what I had become, and a feeling of sadness crept over me, reminding me of what I once was, and what I had been reduced to.'

The other mailboxes seem to litter the road, so Raziel looks for fresh footprints or other signs of movement or recent activity.  Failing that, looking for ghosts who were willing to give their secrets up to him.
Staren     Staren floats along, wearing space armor and riding a magical broom. "We need to make this place safe again. These poor folk, having to abandon their homes..."

He looks to Rhongo. "When you say 'beasts who walk as men', do you mean lycanthropes, or monsters that literally look like humans, or humans who are so immoral they are metaphorical beasts, or...?"

H starts sending drones into the sky to keep an eye out for any movement they can make out through the trees.
Touta Konoe      Touta can't believe he's in Camelot! Or well...Technically he's still not. Which is kinda a let down. But he'll get over it quickly. One way or the other he's never been to this part of the Multiverse before so even if he can't see Camelot now he was still eager for the most part to check out the forest of Mercia. As he arrives to meet King Arthur there's not really even a need to ask. Just from the armor alone feels like a dead give away. There's so many questions he wants to ask but seems like now's not gonna be the time.

While Touta can't really say he fits the bill of a knight he thinks he recalls from reading books the proper way to greet a king of chivalry. The young man dressed in all in black. Black jacket, black jeans, even the blade he wields is black. While his attire may give off a drab expression, his manners appeared cordial enough, or he hopes so as he bends a knee and rests his hands upon his blade lowering his head.

"Uhm...Touta Konoe here to...Receive your call for aid, King Arthur." He has no idea if he's doing this right at all but he's trying. This definitely feels more tedious than a bow but he figures this is just one of those rare occassions he'll need to do something like this. He doesn't take a step till he sees that Arthur starts walking. Supposedly you don't walk ahead of kings, or he thinks that's the case. It sounds about right doesn't it?

Traversing the forest though while unusual and ominous doesn't appear to effect the young man's demeanor much, or if it does it doesn't show on a smile and eager face. He keeps pace with the others without much issue. Whether he was oblivious to the aura being unleashed from this forest or simply indifferent to it was probably a valid question.

When coming across the intersection and signpost he doesn't really say anything much, he doesn't really have anything to help determine which path for them to go, and even if he did should he really be telling the king what to do? At the very least he wants to see what the posts say and what is where at this crossroads.
Rean Schwarzer Rean trails along behind the others, keeping an eye out for anything lurking in the bushes. It was dead quiet, and any houses they passed by were abandoned. He nods along at Staren's words. Whatever monsters in human guise(?) there were here had to leave for the sake of those who once lived here. At one point along the path, he goes up to check one of the abandoned houses to see if there was any sort of hint to what happened here, peeking in through a nearby window.
Lancelot du Lac Lancelot du Lac. The Knight of the Lake, Camelot's Greatest Knight, and valued member of the Round Table... Is not here right now to accompany Rhongomyniad. Instead, apparently in his place, is an unassuming man.

Their hair is black and slick backed, and they wear a rather professional looking tuxedo, but other than that they don't really give off the aura of being someone important. Which is probably good, the less people that stick out the better. Wouldn't want to upset the Clock Tower again after all.

Upon reaching the sign, they merely rub their chin before looking back at Rhongomyniad. Whoever this mystery person is, they seem content to just follow the King.
Rhongomyniad     "The rumors are unclear, "Rhongomyniad states to Staren, "However the greatest indication is that they are distinctly not human. I have been informed of wolves, of great cats, and the like, which walk upon two legs as a man does." She inclines her head downward, "Perhaps lycanthropy may be the source. Or some manner of beastmen independent of the moon's behaviors."

She pauses to regard Raziel while he investigates the driveway, "Not beasts in the shape of men. But beasts who behave as men. Less human than even our undead comrade, here." After all, the Soul Reaver is a walking corpse--but a walking corpse of what was once at least passably human. Those glowing green eyes narrow slightly before she looks away from him-- her every urge is to evict Raziel to the Other Side of the World, but she has opted to withhold judgement since he is being helpful despite his inhumanity.

She pauses, staring down at Touta when he kneels. There's the slightest tug at her impassive face. The faintest hint of amusement that this boy is trying the rituals of a knight in service. But, she parts her mantle to raise a hand in a gesture, "Well met, Touta Konoe. You may rise. Do not trouble yourself with such formalities, as you are not a Knight in my service. But your enthusiasm to embrace knighthood is appreciated."

While Rhon deals with Starens' questions and Touta's behavior, she gestures her (apparent) butler to accompany Raziel. The ghostly vampire's investigation turns up no ghosts, for it seems like no one has actually been killed out here recently. There are old tire tracks, and more recent animal tracks. Wolves, by the look of it, leaving the road and approaching the house. Fairly recent, too.

Touta's inspection of the sign, following his interaction with the King, reveals that while the signs themselves have overgrown, some creatures have been using the wooden post as a scratching post. Deep furrows are carved in the wood, and near the top there's even a relatively recent claw sheath-- black and wickedly curved, worn keratin shed while scratching. A familiar enough sight to anyone who owns a housecat, though far larger.

When Rean peeks into one of the abandoned houses, a wolf locks eyes with him. It's definitely a wolf. Snoot, yellow eyes, and everything. It seems surprised, and immediately backs into the building's shadows to disappear amidst some clattering.

The noise causes Rhongomyniad to stop, turning her gaze towards the unfamiliar swordsman and the cottage he's near.
Raziel 'I felt those eyes on me, but I pretended to not see them.  Right now, the fact that we had not started clashing was a sign that I was at least given a chance despite my appearance.  However, my senses detected no ghosts, and the prints here were...fresh.  Wolf tracks and they moved towards the abandoned house.  It appears that the reports were right, at least in that regard.'

Looking up, the swordsman is already at the house and the sight of yellow eyes.  Raziel moves towards it, already volunteering to take the lead on the investigation.  As he approaches the house, he holds his hands up...and with another effort of will dismisses his corporeal body and once more fades into the immaterial.

The world around him shifts, hearing the sounds of the damned and the ghostly sounds all around him he moves to step into the house, phasing through the wall much like a ghost would.  From here, he moves to investigate, but ready in case the wolf was not so inclined to be hospitable.
Staren     Rean finds something.. A wolf /inside/ one of the houses. That's suspicious. Staren has some drones keep an eye on the area around the house, and lands in the front yard, stuffing the broom back into his bag. "Hey!" He calls. "We know you're in there! If you're not really a wolf and you can talk or something, that's fine, I love talking!"
Rean Schwarzer "What the-" Rean shouts, taking a few steps back from the house. Was that a wolf?! There's a clattering noise inside the building- Guess the wolf was just as spooked as he was. But was that just a normal wolf looking for food, or one of the beasts they were looking for?

"I found something, but I'm not sure if it's just a normal wolf, or something else." Rean says, reporting back to the group. After some discussion, Rean began circling the house, checking to see if there were any ways that wolf could've gotten in to begin with.
Touta Konoe      "Oh, that's a relief then! Honestly I was a bit worried I was gonna offend you somehow." And like that Touta takes Rhongo's hand gesture as a hand offered to help him up. So being told to be somewhat more laid back in this situation he takes the king's hand as he pulls himself back to his feet. Nothing wrong with that right? What a nice king this is!

"Yeah not much of a chivalry type but one of my friends back home is a huge bookie. I remember him talking about your tales back in the day, of you and all your knights. Gotta say he definitely made you sound real impressive though uh...I think the stories kinda left out a few details...?"

Upon reaching the post and getting a better look at the post and the claw sheath that was left behind. "Yeesh..." He doesn't know what kind of creature did this but at the least he'll know what kind of claws it has when he sees it. Just to be safe he'll probably take it. Maybe one of the others can use it to track the beast with magic or scent or some other crazy stuff. By the time he finishes putting the claw sheath away though it looks like the others were already heading near the house. "Man, they're really eager..." Seeing that Staren's got the front cover he decides to follow Rean as he investigates into the surrounding area of the house just to be safe. Even if Staren's got drones flying around, it's probably better with an extra set of hands.
Lancelot du Lac The Butler was told to go with Raziel, and that they do. Other than following them around however and assisting their search, they aren't very talkative however. Probably for the best, talking just distracts anyway.

Upon spotting the wolf and seeing it retreat inside the house, the man follows. Some people use technology to get in, others otherworldly abilities. It would seem that the poor Average Joe is left to wait outside of the building.

     Except there's a front door.

Preparing to rip the door off its hinges if need be, the butler is decently surprised to realize that he can just open it without any effort. Taking a deep breath to prepare themselves for the worse, they proceed to waltz in, a single hand now placed inside their suit's jacket as they grab onto something. The something probably being a gun.
Rhongomyniad     When taken by the hand, Rhongomyniad goes still, acting as a rock solid support for Touta to haul himself up. It's clear she didn't expect that, but she does not resist or raise a fuss either. Instead, once he's upright, she nods once, "It was necessary to conceal certain details at the time. A woman in leadership was not accepted by the populace. In this modern age, such a misdirection is no longer needed." She knows exactly what the young vampire is referring to.

The house meanwhile is in fairly good condition, despite being left to nature for several months. Nothing's collapsed and the doors are closed, the windows are even all still intact, just the majority of them are dirty. Staren shouts at the front of the house, and the mail slot opens. A gruff, thickly British voice comes out, "Piss off," and then the mail slot closes again.

It might just be the owner and some kind of wolf-ish dog that got spooked?

Inside the house, Raziel re-coporeates himself in time to witness a bulky, shaggy figure rising near the door with the mail slot. It's definitely not human. When it notices the ghoul standing in the darkened living room, the creature starts in surprise, raising clawed hands.

And then some well-dressed man walks up to the door and opens it, bathing what is Very Clearly A Wolfman in light from outside. He whirls around, shielding his face with one hand, "Th' hell!"

While this home invasion goes on, there's the distinct feeling of others present. Mostly animal-like shapes in the undergrowth, peering out of dense foliage or through the windows of other abandoned homes. Someone with a distinctly inhuman figure peeks out some distance down the street.

The goddess Rhongomyniad, standing in the middle of the overgrown street, lowers her gaze into what closely resembles a glower when viewed straight on. Despite her tense expression, her voice is that same even monotone, "Beasts. Who live as men live." Turning slightly, she slowly passes her gaze over the undergrowth and the various pairs of eyes hidden amidst it, to stare down the street at figures she can make out now that she knows what to look for, "...Mmm. But no deaths have occurred here, according to the Ghoul..."
Raziel The Ghoul's hand shoots out immediately with a pair of his own claws, no weapon was drawn, so Raziel was perfectly content to do this claw to claw, eyes narrowing as he stares right at the wolfman.  However as Lancelot comes through the door, and it speaks, Raziel lowers his guard just slightly.

'Before me was a man, but not just a man...those of wolfish features crept into his features.  However, he could talk, and the light appeared to be to him what sunlight was like to a fledgling vampire.  However, his claws moved only in self-defense.'

Raziel's claws came up, in a motioning movement for Lancelot and the wolf to stop.  "I am Raziel, member of the Concord here with the ruler of these lands to investigate the presence of dangerous creatures in these lands.  We were not aware this land was occupied, and have only come to try and learn more of the situation."

Raziel's tone was calm and confident, "If you would please meet with the actual King of these lands, and explain the situation to her.  As long as you do not try and harm us, I will promise no harm will come to you."

"Again, there is no need for violence, though we are surely capable of defending ourselves should it come to this.  Your answer?"
Lancelot du Lac     "Ah. My apologies. I did not think anyone lived here, allow me to do this proper."

The butler removes his hand from his jacket as he closes the door. Shortly after, he follows up with a knock.

"Excuse me good sir or lady, I have come to talk to you on behalf of the King of England, may I have a moment of your time?"
Staren     Piss off? "Hey, buddy, listen: Your Queen's out here, so you can come out and talk to us. We just want to find out what's going on! This'll go quicker if you just talk to us and tell us what you know, otherwise we'll have to hang around and work it out on our own." Staren points out. "I mean, technically that house you're in might belong to someone else, but I'm sure an agreement can be worked out if so."

Staren taps his foot. "I don't suppose the name Staren, Hand of the Concord means anything to you? 'Cuz that's me."
Rean Schwarzer There were no signs of a break in, and while dirty, the house was pretty much intact. Something about this situation was weird. He could feel eyes around him peeking out from the underbrush and the other houses, and as Her Majesty and Raziel mentioned, no one died recently. He walked back to the front of the house, and surprise, suprpise, the wolf was actually a wolf man. Questions filled the air (after the butler dude closed the door) and Rean eventually piched in his own.

"Actually, *is* this your house? Or rather, did you live here prior to a few months ago? " Rean asks. He had an idea of what was going on, but he needed this answered before he could act on it.
Rhongomyniad     The Wolfman rumbles when the door is closed again, staring at it for a solid minute. His gaze shifts back to the undead Raziel across the room from him, before he wraps his claws around the doorknob and pulls it back open. Rising to his full Beastman height, he grumbles, "Wha's Arthur want. We ain't 'urt nobody. This 'ole place was empty when we got 'ere." It's not quite English. But it's not quite...not...English.

He shoots a look back at Raziel, clearly catching the veiled threat. Seriously, this guy just appeared suddenly. And something about the butler on his stoop says 'do not mess with me'. And then there's the power armor on the front lawn, and the various swordsmen, and Goddamn King Arthur in the street there.

"Name's Perry," the wolfman offers, raising his hands and stepping out of the house, "Ain't nobody livin' here 'fore we got here. That business wit' th' dragon bloke, aye? Whole crew of us just ditched 'em in the fight. Got here, settled in," This is directed to Rean's questioning about who rightfully owns the home-- which means he's still just a squatter, but the place was already empty. And by talking to Rean and Staren, this means he doesn't have to look at Rhongomyniad.

"This is the world of Men," Rhongomyniad states in her even tone, despite the wolfman's desire to avoid engaging her. She's not forceful or accusatory. It is just... the tone of someone stating a fact, "Your place is on the Other Side of the World."
Touta Konoe      Touta isn't too surprised by this actually. There's plenty of monsters and demons back where he's from and they're usually pretty harmless even if they do look like they'd maul your face off or look like they have skeletons for faces. It's important to not have too much prejudices on these things.

While his introduction is somewhat...Unchivalrous, Touta doesn't blame the guy. He's basically had people surrounding his house. Even if he was a squatter no one wanted to feel locked in like that.

"Hey Perry, name's Touta. Sorry to bug ya but we're in the neighborhood cause there's been some rumors about beast-men in the forest. Which I guess might be you or a few buddies of yours who got spotted. So I guess the King here's just uh..." Actually he's not really sure what the King intended to do with them. It sounded like eviction but he has no idea as to where till she states where they belong. In fact, he has no idea what the hell the Other Side of the World was suppose to imply? What's on the opposite side of the world from Camelot anyway?

So as she brings that up, all he can do is turn back to her and just ask the simple question, "Hey King Arthur, what /do/ you mean by Other Side of the World?"
Staren     Staren blinks. He expected... he's not sure what he expected, really. But not former troops of Vortigern's!

Of course, if they agree to go, well, he's not going to stop them. If not...

Staren looks between the wolf and Arturia. He rubs the back of his helmet with a hand. "Vortigern was a danger, as are many other things removed from the world of man. But these folks don't seem to want to meddle in anyone else's business, let alone hurt people. Even if these houses have to be given back... is there any particular reason they /can't/ live among humans? I mean, talking animals isn't any weirder than what your people are already dealing with thanks to the Multiverse..."
Raziel Raziel was not threatening him but was informing him that if wanted to rumble, they would rumble.  Though it looked like the message was received, and the man steps out, with Raziel following him.  The ghost looks towards the Goddess herself, which causes him to squint slightly as she speaks.

"You will find me less moved by these words, King Arthur.  They are here now, and they are not aligned with your enemies and seem more than willing to live in peace.  There are no dead here, nor are they snatching people and dragging them here," Raziel says, offering to defend the man against her declaration of not belonging.

"If you judge those by their appearance, why did you not throw me out of your lands immediately?  Instead of having your man follow me to discern my motives.  If it is usefulness to the crown, then I would suggest laying your terms to bare now, instead of declaring their place not being here.  If you are going to run them through, then I will have to defend them as I gave them my word I would make sure they would come to no harm if they spoke to you."

"If you still wish to eject them, then I would ask that time is given for better accommodations."
Lancelot du Lac      The butler coughs awkwardly, doing his best to clear his throat before speaking.

"Please do not be so quick to judge King Arthur's decisions, while they may seem heartless, he only has the best for humanity in mind. However..."

There's a brief pause, purely for dramatic effect.

"I would personally suggest rather than send them to the Reverse Side out right, we give them the option to move somewhere else in the Multiverse. They may prove a problem for the people here, but I have no doubt there are other worlds that would not mind our furry friends. That said, if they refuse, they will have to be removed via force, as much as I don't want it to come to that."
Rean Schwarzer Well, the idea that the people here were the original inhabitants just turned into animal people was a bust. But that's why he asked that first question before going all in on it. A lot of things he'd never heard before got thrown around, and Touta beat him to "What does the Other Side of the World mean," but he was starting to piece to gether the situation. Rean nodded. They didn't necessarily need to send them back to wherever they came from if their only crim was well, squatting. Though, given how the people living in the main city thought they were monsters...Maybe they could find somehthing that made everyone happy.

"Surely you'd rather live someplace nicer than this, right?"
Rhongomyniad     Rhongomyniad turns her head slightly towards Touta, "You stand upon the skin of the World. The Age of Men exists here. The Other Side of the World is the Age of Gods. The ancient, mythical, divine and demonic entities of the distant past still live-- on the inner skin of the World. It is the Tower's duty to stabilize this balance."

Her eyes narrow slightly when Staren asks his questions and makes his case for the wolfman before her. She turns her head to peer down the street, at various other wolf-people and cat-people leaning out to get a better look at the proceedings now that it seems like violence is no longer so clearly on the menu. "It is the way of things. That the mythical be separated lest it threaten the world of men. However, I suspect that simply stating the Status Quo is insufficient."

The King tilts her head down, lifting a hand to cradle her chin in thought. A soft, thoughtful noise escapes her, a barely audible, 'Mmm...'

In this pause from Rhongomyniad, Perry speaks up, "Th' Other Side ain't so great fer little blokes like us. It's dog eat dog, y'gotta be a beast t' have any chance." Rearing back, he lifts a hand and jabs insistently at his own chest with his thumb, "An' I ain't no beast! As a beastMAN, I'm thinkin' we ought'a have a chance at livin' the Man part o' that too!" The goddess' gaze shifts to the wolfman, then back to those who've chosen to reveal themselves further down the street. Her eyes travel to the Mysterious Butler whe he says his piece, and then finally she turns to face the wolfman Perry directly.

"I have determined," Delivered in that same near-monotone of hers, "That it would be unjust to remove your village to the Other Side of the World. I exist to maintain the balance and stabilize the world of Men, but I also hold authority over the domain of Chivalry. It would be against my own existence to act unjustly." A hand lifts, "My Knight's recommendation holds true. Doubtless there are communities beyond Londinium who will accept you and yours. However, if you wish to remain as Citizens of England, I shall not oppose this decision."

Turning her head towards Rean, then the run-down home itself, "Although. Better living conditions may be offered. If you choose to live as men, I shall support this wish as far as I am able." Her hand lifts to her chin again, thoughtfulness crossing her face, "I will ask a service in return. If my companions do not object, I wish to know of other agents of my uncle who fled into England's wilderness while Vortigern was rejected by the World. I wish to know their intentions. Those who wish to co-exist peacefully as you do are to be supported. Those who prey on humanity must be stopped."

Her hand lowers, her eyes traveling from Staren to Rean to Butlerlot to Touta, to Raziel. Seemingly, she is gauging the reactions of those who accompanied her more than the wolfman whom the request is directed to, "Is this amenable?"
Raziel Raziel listens to Rhon's peace, and then the beastman's.  That seems fair, they are not JUST beasts, but also men themselves. Rejecting them is rejecting the human half...and it seems the other side is not safe for them.  Here, they could live, thrive even.  Finally, however, Rhon comes to terms, and the face of the ghoul softens...well, his eyes do.

'It appears that the King of England was fair in her dealings, adhering to a similar code of honor that I do.  The tension in the air goes from being able to be cut with a knife, to far more relaxed.  With a sigh of relief, I allowed myself to rest easier knowing that these people would have a home.'

"I would offer my home, however, as my world is dying currently it would be a poor place for you and yours.  As far as the terms of this agreement are, I find them fair and reasonable.  However, Perry, this is a decision for you and your people."

With that, Raziel turns towards Rhongomyniad, "Thank you for your honor towards these people in this matter.  I also apologize if I was being presumptuous with my phrasing.  Being in a similar situation to these people, it is easy to see persecution when there is none."
Staren     Staren listens, briefly uncertain as Arturia says this is not the beastmen's place... but, it seems she'll give them a chance. He hadn't really thought about trying to fight her, if it came to that.

"Sounds good." He passes Perry a tablet. "If you want to live somewhere else, call me. On behalf of the Daedalus Initiative, I'm sure we can find you a new home if needed."

"...If you don't mind, I'd like to gather what knowledge and tales you bring from the Other Side of the World... Sealed away for so long, who knows what you might know that the world of Man doesn't? Things that seem obvious to you may be foreign to human scholars... And I'm sure your stories would be new and interesting to humans as well, and perhaps humans' to you."
Touta Konoe      "So it's like an Inverse Earth..." The words he says probably don't mean much to the King or any of the others for that matter but its the best way Touta can try and wrap his head around the concept of the Other Side of the World. As the King gives her thoughts on the matter and then ultimately asks for the opinions of the others who came here today. He's actually a bit surprised. He knew about chivalry and things like that but for a king to take the opinions of others, especially strangers like him, it just seemed unsual.

He gives a smirk to the king before giving his piece. "Well, not really my place to say but it sounds like you already know what you're gonna do. But if you Perry and the rest of you ever change your mind..."

Touta digs into his pocket and pulls out a brochure.

"It's definitely no Camelot, but if you like hot springs I think it'd be a good deal. Back on my world I work for a place that'd be able to take you guys in. You'd probably have to work for your keep but at least you wouldn't have to worry about anyone harassing you. At the very least feel free to drop on by if you guys decide to take a vacation."

He seems very non-chalant about the whole thing. It's not like he's trying to shove the offer in there face, he just wants them to know that even if they don't choose to stay in Londinium or some would prefer another option, there are other options available to them.

"Oh right, Perry, you know who this might belong to?" At this point he shows the old claw sheath to him. He figures the locals would have a better idea what kind of claw this was. For all he knew it just belonged to one of Perry or his mates. But better hear it from the guy himself first.
Rhongomyniad     "Well damn!" Perry raises a clawed hand, then slaps his own thigh, "Ya got yerself a deal, King! I'll get th' whole village together an' get our ducks in a row, yeah?" He takes the brochure from Touta, lifting it to squint at it for a moment. This is tucked under his arm, "Yeah, I'll pass it along." Staren's offer is similarly taken, squinted at, then put under one arm, "Yeah, sure as shite there'll be some who'll wanna move an some who'll stick 'round."

He glances towards Arthur, ears raised, "We'll get our shite t'gether an' let ya know, King. 'bout all the creepies an' crawlies, it warn't just us, after all. An' none half so nice, neither."

"Mm," Rhongomyniad lets out that thoughtful noise once more, "Worry not, Raziel. I can see that within that body still lives a chivalrous heart." ... "In a manner of speaking." Well, at least she understood she'd made a poor choice of words.

"Eh?" Perry reaches out, taking the claw sheath from Touta. Turning it over, he squints, "What, found this in the signpost did'ja? 's prolly Clara's. Catfolk shed these all th' time an' she's shackin' up that way."
Touta Konoe      "Huh, well that makes sense. Well, if Clara's as cool about this as you were I guess the king isn't going to have to worry too much. Probably won't even need us at all. Guess this place really is easy going."

Well maybe not entirely easy going with all those odd vibes from before but at the very least there were reasonable rulers like King Arthur. He almost felt bad for bringing his blade all the way out. Made it seem like he was here to cause trouble for these people who seemed like they were just really trying to get on with their lives.

"Anyway, guess there wasn't too much to worry about from these guys. But uh, hey let your King know though if something odd starts coming this way. Sure it'd make everyone's lives easier and clear up lots of confusion." Seemed like a pretty open and closed case from here.
Raziel Raziel shakes his head, not taking offense at the situation.  Fully aware of his appearance,  "I did not wish to inhabit the form that I do.  However, nor can I die, because of the one who did this to me I am beyond death.  However, I take no offense at your words.  It is true, after all."

"Well, at least this situation is resolved amicably," Raziel says, before offering a claw towards Rhongomyniad, "As we haven't officially introduced ourselves, I am Raziel of the Concord," Not having much for titles right now.
