Owner Pose
Leyanne Leyanne enters once again riding astride Clive. Someone in the crowd throws him another tractor tyre, which of course he catches and chews on cheerfully.

Upon arrival at the ringside, Tiny - grinning a little, buoyed by her no-longer-empty scorecard - browses her heavy weapons before settling back on the old, reliable Ma Deuce. After hooking up the ammo feed, she climbs up into the ring to wait for Mort, sitting up on one of the concrete chest (or to her, groin)-high walls dotted around for cover.
Mortimer Balman      Mortimer's entrance is far showier than Leyanne's. Because he knows that the crowds and viewers like to be hyped up. This is entertainment after all, and he knows how to do that if nothing else. So, once Leyanne has arrived.. An introductory song begins to play, heralding Mortimer's arrival and continuing until he's entered the arena, armed with nothing but a large combat knife.

(Music - Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, & Imagine Dragons w/ Logic & Ty Dolla $ign feat. X Ambassadors: Sucker For Pain)

His pace is steady and follows the beat of the music, a death head's grin on his face as he approaches the arena. His eyes have already done that black-sclera-with-blood-red-irises trick he's picked up, staring dead on at Leyanne. His fiery mane is massive, licking at the ground and wreathing him like a grand cloak of soul-fire, silently cackling faces occasionally floating within the ephemeral flames.

The song fades out toward the end of the first chorus as he finally gets into the combat zone, and he draws his knife, spinning and flipping it in a hand. Just waiting for the signal to go..

     ROUND ONE: FIGHT!
Shigure     Three figures are seated in the guest comentator box, wearing headsets with microphones, a blonde, a brunette and a tall black haired woman. Yuudachi speaks first, "So, like, welcome to the MECC tournament! We're here, live in stage 6 with another battle! This one between The Tiny Terror of Mars, Leyanne Mace, versus The Crypt that Awaits the End of Time, Mortimer Balman!"

The brunette chimes in next, "Tiny is two matches down, kuma, but she's here to prove she can go the distance, kuma! Mortimer's one for one so far, kuma. We'll see if experience can overcome raw firepower, kuma~."

Finally Yamashiro chimes up. "Tiny arrives with little pomp or flair, riding her trusty steed, while Mortimer brings all the pomp required for an event like this. It seems both combatants are ready. The judges have given the all clear. Combatants. Ready? Fight!"
Leyanne Leyanne raises an eyebrow at Mort's showy entrance, hopping down off her block. "And here was me toning it down a little out of respect, Mort." she snorts, looking amused. "I see how it is."

At the call from Yamashiro to fight, the Mouse - amused by her nickname - brings up Ma Deuce and opens fire - the chunky blast of a 50-calibre machine gun ringing out across the arena. She's not really aiming particularly AT Mort, more in his general direction - intending to spray him with concrete chips from the arena floor, be a threat he's got to react to, and gauge his reaction, and then improvise from there.
Mortimer Balman      Mortimer laughs his token coarse, harsh laugh. "Gwahahaha! Come on Mace, this is a great grand glorious event! We must show off an' appeal to the crowds, after all!" And oh dear that's a gun. That's a really.. BIG gun. ZOOM.

Mortimer responds to being shot at by running, at superhuman speeds no less, bullets whizzing past him and missing by millimeters or fractions thereof. Hopping side to side, closer and closer.. And then leaping up above the hail of gunfire and coming down at an awkward angle- his jackbooted foot will, if he's aimed it right, smash Leyanne in the face while his knife comes down and tries to jam into the firing mechanisms.
Shigure     Yamashiro says, "Tiny opens up with her weapon, bullets flying and tearing chunks out of the arena. But it seems that Mortimer is far fasater than his seems! He closes in, and leaps! A solid strike of boot to face, but where is that knife going!?"
Leyanne Leyanne seems to be, at least for now, all action and no talk. She doesn't reply to his comment, tracking him the whole way - chasing him with fire. She stops shooting in his general direction and starts trying to pull her aim in but damn he's fast. She manages to swing her gun out of the way, but her left hand - coming up to block that jackboot - isn't fast enough. The Megamouse takes it, quite hard to the face.

She lets go of the gun, grabbing it with her tail to move it out of Mort's reach. As he recovers from the kick, the giant mouse moves in with fists clenched. She too is surprisingly fast - although, admittedly, not quite bullet-dodging fast like Mort, moving in close, ducking and weaving a little before darting in to - she hopes - deliver a three-punch jab combo to the old badger's face.
Mortimer Balman      The jabs hit Mort square in the face but.. Well, Tiny will find that Mort's skull is *shockingly* hard, and that blow will only yield a black eye and a cracked tooth. "C'mon, girly, you can hit me harder than *that*!" Said through a mouthful of blood, which is rapidly spat out to the side.

One of his boots goes out to stomp on Leyanne's foot, whether it hits her foot or not it is only a distraction. He's.. Beginning to dance? A rapid series of pirouettes and fancy footwork sends him spinning around the giant mouse like an idol singer's backup dancer, with his head flicking around in tune to some infernal song that only he can hear.

The dancing, of course, is not what's dangerous. It's the part where his vast fiery mane is whipping around Leyanne violently and threatening to torch her.
Leyanne Leyanne takes the kick to the ankle with a grunt, watching Mort's dance, leaning back away fron the flames - which still scorch the fur on her muzzle as that mane whips around behind Mort, gauging his rhtyhm, She begisn to move with him, minimising the contact with the flame while, slowly, working herself closer and closer to the dancing fire-badger.

When she judges she's close enough, her tail tugs the M2 in such a way that it unhooks from the belt, sliding it back away from Mort and then lashes forwards, attempting to hook around his ankles and pull his feet out from under him.

Should that work, the Megamouse follows it up with an elbow-drop in the centre of Mort's back, in theory before he can react to it. What she lacks in fancy fire, she makes up for - she hopes - in sheer mass.
Shigure     Yuudachi says excitedly. "Both combatants have, like, dropped any pretense of ranged combat and are going in for the close range! Tiny jabs, and gets a hit, but Mort strikes back just as hard! I can barely keep up with the speed of these two! A proper brawl!"
Mortimer Balman      It's been some time since Mort fought someone with a tail, much less someone who knows how to properly USE it in a scrap. He'd be so very pleased, if he wasn't currently on the ground with his spine being slammed. HRK. He coughs up.. Wait that isn't blood, or vomit, it looks more like fresh lava. It's melting through the arena floor! As it turns out, size does matter. However, Mort is still quite active despite suffering some internal organ damage.

A demonstration of flexibility first, bending his back to an uncomfortable-looking degree to push Leyanne off of his back first, and then his legs wrap around her neck. She'll be forced to either work on standing up, or just letting herself hit the floor- in either case, she will have an old man swinging himself by his legs around her neck and onto her back. "You dance *magnificently*, dear. Was that improvised, or did you take classes?"

The legs tighten up to cut off her airflow, and his fists begin beating her in the head like some kind of giant angry monkey. Such a position is NOT easily maintained, however, due to their relative heights, she'll probably be able to throw him off pretty readily.
Shigure     Kuma pipes up, "Tiny drives an elbow into Mort's back, kuma, but Mort shows off his flexiblity and reverses, kuma! He's got Tiny on the floor and is beating her up pretty backly, kuma!"
Leyanne Leyanne, unfortunately for mort, has an augment known as a third lung; when it detects that she can't pull in enough air, it engages - with an audible click and a disgusting-sounding gurgle, starting to oxygenate her blood to stave off - at least temporarily - the effects of a badger on ber back and squeezing her chest with his legs.

Unfortunately, it doesn't do much about staving off the effects of a badger beating on her head. So she takes a lesson from Fezzik at this point and, gripping his legs to make sure he stays where /she/ wants him, whether he beats on her head or not, stands up. For the crowd, and the show, she staggers around with Mort whaling on her head for a while, before snarling and backing up as fast as she can into the nearest solid object.
Mortimer Balman      And then Mort is interfaced with a nearby- and oddly convenient- large, solid object which just makes him go dizzy for a moment. "Ow.." Unfortunately, Leyanne still has him by the /legs/, and this represents a problem. "Hey." His body contorts hard so he can look her in the eye. "Leggo, otherwise I start acting like a dirty old bastard and making horribly lewd jokes." He's stopped beating her on the skull, at least.

But, perhaps to demonstrate he's not above making good on his threats, he throws himself backwards so that his body is mainly behind Tiny now. His torso bends so that he's between her legs, and then he just kinda... Bursts into flames. Leyanne is now holding a living bonfire.
Shigure     Yamashiro says, "Mortimer's position allows him to pound Tiny in the head rather efficiently. It does come with some drawbacks, such as getting slammed into a wall by a very large mouse."

Yuudachi says in counter point, "Mortimer shows his true colours though, and arches around to light a fire under Tiny. Literally. Burn baby burn, poi~!"
Leyanne Leyanne snarls at the fire between her legs, her armour weathering most of it but still - there's that telltale burning composite smell; burning resin and carbon soot, and burning fur almost as a spice to the scent. "If you're gonna go down there, Mort." She retorts, even through the flames "At least buy me a drink first, yeah?"

And then she lets go of his legs... only to grab his head and attempt to pull him all the way through so he's in front of her. But, should that work, she doesn't give Mort time to recover, wrenching him sideways and into a pirouette. Her tail grabs her M2 as it swings past - not to use, but for the counterweight as Tiny accellerates the pirouette, holding Mort like an olympic hammer as - in theory at least - his feet come off the ground and centrifugal force tears at him. Then, like a an olympic hammer, she lets go, flinging out her arms to try and slow her rotation before Mort recovers from this one...
Mortimer Balman      And now there is a *lovely* Mortimer-shaped indentation in one of the walls, after he crashes through a pillar of some sort. That slam was HARD. And it HURT. Bones can be heard cracking and at least half his ribs are broken now, and there's definitely a skull fracture. "Urgh.." Wrenching himself up off the floor and swaying a bit, Mortimer forces his eyes to focus. "I'd be *delighted* to!" His words are more than a little slurred from the pain of his brain being rattled around. But the grin returns to his face as his eyes snap onto Leyanne. "But first thing's first, aye..?"

The flames explode out around Mortimer, covering much of the field in wraithly fire, and it burns hot. Impossibly hot. The atmosphere around him begins crackling and popping as it starts catching alight. The fire grows and multiplies until it is a raging inferno, drowning everything in the arena in horrific fires that scream with the lamentations and mad laughter of the Damned.
Leyanne Leyanne takes a breath and dives behind cover as she sees the wave of fire coming. She follows full nuclear weapons drill, sprinting behind the most solid object she can find. It saves her from the fire.

It does not, however, save her from the resulting pressure-wave. The block she's hiding behind surges forwards, smashing into another and leaving no space in between for a mouse.
Shigure     Kuma says, excitedly. "Kuma can't believe it, kuma. Tiny's spinning Mort around like a ragdoll, kuma! She lets go and he slams into the arena wall hard, kuma! Is he still able to fight?"

Yuudachi shouts, "He's up! He's back up! WHOAH I can feel the heat from here! Douse the magazines, poi! I don't think Tiny can survive that at point blank range!"

Yamashiro says, "Caught between a rock and another rock, Leyanne is knocked out of the fight. Mortimer wins. Thank you all for watching, please wait while the arena resets. A good match from both combatants."
Mortimer Balman      Yeah it's that pressure wave that's the real bitch. Fortunately for Tiny, when the flames end there is no subsequent vacuum, as there normally would be- Mort has more than enough control over himself to avoid being a fuel/air bomb if he so chooses. "Haaah..." Once the flames have receeded and his mane shrinks, he strikes a pose for the cameras with a big skull grin, and then he goes over to pick up Tiny and help carry her out of the arena, so that the Shrine can undo all the damages they've both suffered.
Leyanne Leyanne appears... well, at first there's not much left of the megamouse. Technically speaking, at the moment Mort goes to look, the mouse is... rather flat and smashed. Thankfully, the Shrine is quick in repairing the damage. "-uck me!" she finishes with a gasp, looking around a bit in surprise. "Well... that was... I hope I never have to see you do that in anger, Mort."
Mortimer Balman      Mort claps Leyanne on the shoulder, laughing coarsely. "Gwahahaha! Yer a good fighter, Tiny- that.. Was *fun.* It's been terribly long since I fought a woman like you." There's an oddly wistful sigh. "Ahh.. I know I'm about thirty years outside of yer age bracket, but I do insist ya allow me ta buy you that drink nonetheless. In a gentlemanly sense, I promise, no dirty old man nonsense."
Leyanne Leyanne nods "It was! We'll have to do a rematch some time, man." she chuckles, nodding. "I'd like that. We can complain about how shit was better in our day."
