Ishirou One of the Portals to Avernus drops you at the foothills of some mountains.  The mountains, made out of Basalt, loom overhead.  Though out the basalt, bits of Obsidian and Quartz can be found.  On the ground, itself are various boulders and various rocks.  The terrain was tenuous at best, making anything than a brisk walk difficult without appropriate movement capabilities.

The air was filled with blood-red light, day and night are meaningless here, and there is no sun, no stars.  However, occasionally the sky lights up with a fireball, which explodes either harmlessly in the sky or occasionally lands on the ground.  Looking at the rocks reveals the faces twisted in torturous pain or the shapes of creatures.

The cave in question was a small journey from the portal, but dangerous with the constant explosive fireballs raining from the sky.  Inside, the red light continues to permeate, making light unnecessary.  The cave system is large, full of melted wax creatures who seem to be more resembling melted cows than melted people.  They're aggressive, but very weak and easily dispatched as you move through.

In a large chamber deep into the cavern itself, is a room that opens up.  Inside the Chamber are various prizes.  Gems, Gold, various minor magic weapons or items.  However, set in the center of the room, as if it were the centerpiece to this entire collection, was a blade that seemed to be giving a faint holy aura.  It seems to be weakening as if the very land was sapping it of its strength...or perhaps something else is at work here.

<<"That's definitely the Cheese Blade, from the picture I got from the Celestial Milkmaids.  Be careful, I sense energy enveloping the blade.  It might be dangerous without some way to dispell the energy.">>

Nothing seems to stir for the moment.  You are in the room alone with a bunch of treature and the blade.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone had not undertaken this lightly, and even with getting pile driven by a Tree monster into the ground the last time? Here she is all fixed and healed up for another round of crazy hunting. She did trust I4 though and was glad to help. She took a moment as she arrived at the new location and it looked downright gloomy to her.

she switched on her enhanced optics to make her way through the caves when she needed it.

The melted monsters don't take much to deal with and Kotone sticks to her pistol for dispatching them as she moves with the est of the group.

<<Cheese Blade huh?>>

Kotone will take a moment to set up a couple of gun drones to act as overwatch for the party the small spider legged things whirred as they moved about.

"This makes me think of a really strange Dairy commercial from back home."
Katt When she heard that there was a call for assistance recovering a mystic artifact from Avernus, the legendary Celestial Cheeseblade, Katt decided to tag along for a few reasons.

One, she likes fighting, and especially likes fighting demons. And apparently they're going to Hell? So she's in favor of that.

Two, she likes cheese - dairy of all sorts, really - and she is hoping for a reward. But don't tell. It'll ruin her rep.

"Man, this was a lot less intimidating than I thought." Katt was not impressed by the melted wax opponents. They weren't challenging at all, which means they also weren't entertaining at all, and the novelty of travelling through Avernus - dangerous as it is - wears thin. Once you've seen a few screaming rocks, you probably don't want to see any more.

She pokes at a few coins before turning toward the holy sword itself. "You'd think they'd guard something like this a little better! Maybe they just really don't respect cheese. Hey, do you think if I brought it back they'd make me some ice cream?"

Katt heads over to the sword. Because I4 mentioned it had energy on it, she doesn't touch it... with her hands; unless stopped she is going to prod it with her cats-paw staff, though.
Arcadia Arcadia is here! People need an artifact recovered and eliminate the evil that stole it in the process. It's right up her alley of expertise, especially if it involves some fighting in addition to helping!

That it's in a level of an iteration of Hell? That's just a challenge! And Arcadia loves challenges.

Dodging fireballs is also a bit of a challenge, but nothing she hasn't dealt with before and between speed and agility makes it to the cave with little issue. The sphinx sets down on the ground (actually on the ground!) and folds her wings back, giving the others a nod. Then eagerly heads inside. Adventure awaits! Also artifacts. And treasure. Quite a bit of treasure by the look of it. But there is only one treasure they are interested it.

There is lighting within the cave, but Arcadia activates her visor anyways, just to be safe. Because there is no way there aren't traps or monsters or the thief themselves here to make reclaiming the Epic Cheeseblade difficult. Things just do not work that easily. Sure enough, there's some kind of wax... statue. Sentry. Things. That's a little unusual, but turns out not extremely dangerous.

Not when she can just conjure up a few blasts of wind to blow the fragile melty wax apart.

"That was easy!" A pause, and then she's back on tense mode. "... Too easy." Way too easy for an experienced dungeoneer to not be a bit wary because of it.
Rean Schwarzer Rean is here to help with I4's ingredient hunting! (And let's be honest here, look at a weird sword. And maybe have some nice cheese. Also a plus.)

The cave is kind of creepy, in the same way that a crypt is creepy. After all, there were rocks with screaming pained faces. And melting wax demons. Well, if this place was supposed to be Hell, it was fitting. The wax demons are easy to cut through, at least.

The sword is just laying there, too, not really doing anything. Except well, emitting energy. "so, anyone know how to dispel possibly demonic energy, or...?" Some girl with a staff tries to poke it, and Rean opens his senses, waiting for something to jump out at them when she does that. After all the cave kiiiiinda screamed 'I AM A TRAP.'
Archer EMIYA      A sword made of cheese. An object that seems like a complete waste of talent, both in terms of cooking and in terms of blacksmithing. And yet the weapon's description has made them curious.

And thus, Archer arrives, completely empty handed, inside a cave of riches and wonders. The fact that they've gone this long without coming across any sort of proper protector is enough to raise a brow, as he highly doubts the wax-like monsters they've been coming across before are suppose to be the only defense. Unless the sword they're after isn't that highly coveted, which, given that it's made of cheese... Perhaps a bunch of disposable mooks was all they could afford.

There's a warning from I4 that touching the blade as it is now is probably not the best idea, which just causes the Heroic Spirit to fold his arms as he overlooks the room.

"Well, we have two options. Either someone disregards the warning or we start tearing the room apart for a solution. So please, take as long as you need amongst yourselves to reach an answer, I could use the time it'll take between all of you to relax."
Ishirou Archer looks at the blade, it is not a blade made out of cheese.  It looks like a normal blade, with a faint glow of white, but the white color is more faded as if something is trying to blot out its brilliance.  While it does have this white aura, it does appear to be a sword made by human hands.  It sits there, with the terrible energy swirling around it.

Rean looks towards Katt who reaches out towards with a stick.  Arcadia gets a better look at the room.  Traps are here, but her own scanners and I4's aid will make little work of the traps.  Oddly, that they seem to be in circles around the blade.  An obvious defense mechanism, but also other magic chicken scratch on either side of the traps.  They don't seem to be active, or do anything except for the center circles, which are glowing fiercely, but don't react with Katt walks over them.

Katt touches the blade with a stick.  A bolt of energy flows through the staff and right into her hand.  This is followed with enough force to send her flying across the room.  From deeper into the cave the sounds of hooves can be heard stepping along the ground.  Until a beautiful woman riding upon a bull slowly move into the room.  The wings of the creature are various shades of coal, her eyes a blood red, and her skin a pale grey.

The steed is like a normal bull, but there are sharper edges to it, the horns are too long, and its eyes are red.  The woman considers the blade, making a frown, before turning to the rest of you.  A spear in her hand and a buckler in the other.

"You have walked into my domain, and attempted to steal my treasure.  Curious, most adventurers would have simply gone for the cursed gold...but not you.  Which means that you have been sent here.  Have my former 'sisters' charged you with the blade's return?  Now, on the eve of my final victory?"

"No matter, you will die here, and your souls bartered for their safe return," She says as the bull charges, aiming to overrun the other members of the group.
Arcadia Now being inside somewhere like a cave could be a problem with a fighter focused on flying. Fortunately that is not entirely the case when it comes to Arcadia. She may be hindered somewhat in what stunts she can pull, but she's got the experience with such environments to make it work.

That and he's feeling a bit more brawly than usual. For reasons.

"We're not afraid of you, or your supposed victory! Hand over the artifact or we wi--" Whatever dramatic speech was coming is interrupted by the bull charging, in rather close quarters. The sphinx cuts herself off, crouchs, and then leaps forward. She skims the exaggerated horns, plants her hands on the bull's head, and vaults over!

Only to find the rest of the beast is also rather dangerous, as is the rider. She quickly twists to the side to avoid colliding and slams into the side of the cave instead. Arguably less terrible of a result. She rolls off the stone surface, and true to cat-ness lands on her feet, on one of the piles of treasure. Brushes herself off.

"Welp, that answers the demand I didn't get to make. Very well then." Arcadia holds her arms out at angles to her sides as several sparks crackle around them, and then she crouchs to slam her palms into the ground at her feet. "Rolling Thunder!"

The electricity erupts up and forward as she does so, the wave-like motion turning it into a large rolling sharp of current sent barreling back down the passage at the bull riding demon-maid.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has lucked out as she didn't go for the cursed gold, a clever trap when she thought about it. There wasn't much time to think though as she watches Katt touch the blade with a stick. "Not a bad ..."

Well touching it directly might have been far worse, right? She braces herself and has a rifle out shortly after that as she looks over the woman before them.

"You think that?"

With that Kotone moves to flip away then double jumping and avoiding the charge entirely the moment her feet hit the ground she brings up her rifle and opens fire, she's moving again aft ethe first birt and firing again, she moves, she fires, she moves. She does not sit still as she has no desire to run over by this lay or her mount.

"Well I'm over here catch me if you can!"
Katt This is not the first time Katt has touched something dangerous and it won't be the last. Waiting for people to make up their minds takes too long (at least Archer seems to agree with her). She does make a point of hopping over the runes on the floor instead of touching them, though.

Unfortunately doing this does not actually save her from consequences. Katt lets out a sound best transcribed as 'wak' as the energy bolt cascades up the paw of her staff, down the length of it, and into her. She manages to hold onto the staff as she's launched into a pile of coins, hitting them hard enough to send them spraying every which way while half-burying her in them.

Katt's legs flail as she frees herself, sending a second shower of coins everywhere as she pops back out of it, using her staff to vault herself back to her feet. She still seems slightly dazed for a moment, shaking her head sharply to try to clear it.

"I mean, I could take the coins too," Katt says. "I'm pretty sure some fell into my - wait, cursed?" Lame. "I'm just glad at least someone here is a challenge! The wax guys weren't and I can't hit a fireball. Any kind of dairy-based reward is just - a - bonus!"

Katt's last words were staggered because she actually recovered enough to start moving again, running flat-out toward the demon maid. She is a lot more agile when she actually can move, and there's enough room in here to. At the last moment, though, she jukes around, planting her staff on the ground and whirling her entire body around the pole, delivering a two-footed kick to the maid's side to try to dislodge her from her mount.
Archer EMIYA      The actual defender of the cheese blade shows herself, and unsurprisingly, asks a question that she has no intent on having answered before charging forward at them. Typical.

Archer attempts to roll out of the way, getting lightly trampled in the process. At least it's better than getting thrown across the room.

"I am the Bone of my Sword"

They pick themselves up off the ground, a surge of green lines running down their arms as a pair of blades materialize in their once empty hands. One white. The other black. Both curved.

They aren't long for the Chinese Blacksmith's hands those as they're instantly thrown, the blades sailing by the cheese guardian harmlessly.

Archer doesn't seem bothered by his sloppy accuracy though, rather he just follows up on it, running up and jumping on to and balancing on the bull's head as another pair of blades manifest in his hands.

"I've never met your sister's in my entire life, though, given how lovely you've been, I think we'd be getting along just as we are now."

He cracks a joke, before his face turns serious again, bringing both the blades down on the bull rider as the pair of swords he threw previously boomerang around to crash into the woman's back.
Rean Schwarzer A woman on the back of a pointy bull appears,  wondering why they were taking the cheese sword and not the treasure. Also something about her former 'sisters.' Well, whatever the story behind that was, she decided to charge them.

Rean gets rammed into by the bull and goes flying, tumbling over onto the ground. "Ugh.." Rean murmurs, dusting himself off. He then ignites his sword, rushing forward to aim a curved slash at the bull's hind legs.
Ishirou Arcadia sends out a terrible wave of electrical energy, attempting to simply gib the fallen angel right out of the fight immediately.  She moves, aiming to slam the buckler into the strike.  This causes electrical energy to fly everywhere, allowing her to swing into the attack.  While it /hurts/ it does allow her to get closer to Arcadia.  The bull is there in seconds as she attempts to impale the Sphinx right through the wing.

"Make all of the empty threats and muster up all of the false bravado you can," she comments. Right before shots from Kotone hit her across the back.  As the woman turns, the spear moves, sending bullets away, but far more hit her than are removed.  Especially as she forces herself through the tide.  The bull charges fully this time, aiming to try and use its demonic horns to impale.

Katt comes bouncing in like a pinball thanks to the staff she used.  The totally not cat smashes into the milkmaid herself, nearly knocking them out of the saddle, but years of training allows her to grip for dear life, and with it put Katt in retaliation range.  The spear disappears, as a sword comes into her hand.  She thrusts it down towards Katt, trying to return pain with pain.

Archer makes a cutting joke, even as two blades are smacked away by her own blade, she turns as the man leaps at her.  Cuts run down her body as the blades find her armor just a bit thicker than expected.  She can't defend against the ones from behind but she DOES cast a spell.  A hardening of her skin overtakes her, much like stone.  The blades can only chip at her, as they soar past.  She takes that moment to use her rock form to punch Archer across the face, attempting to send him back.  This is right as the bull rears up, and attempts to bring its hooves down on the Servant.

"Hmph, what an annoying man you are.  If you met my sisters, killing you may be the only thing we ever agreed on," She says towards Archer, right as Rean goes for the bull itself. The blade of fire was not the best of choices it seems.  The hind leg seemed supernaturally resistant to Rean's blade, even as his force DID seem to cause blood to drip down the back of the bull's leg.  However, as it lands after striking at Archer, it rear's back, attempting to send both hooves into Rean's face.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa can not dodge forever and this is where her dodging ends as the guardian corners Kotone. Kotone is caught by the bull's horn and it impales her, breaching her armour and digging into her synthetic body. She tries it as she's now stuck on the bull, she's in pain she also tries to not panic. Kotone aims at the rider and opens up with her weapon as she attempts to get the hell off the horn. For now, though she's in a bit of a fix and she doesn't seem very happy at all about this. Kotone is clearly bleeding from the wound but while red? It's not blood it's some red fluid that smells nasty.
Arcadia The bull moves and the demonic woman strikes, thrusting her spear into one of the sphinx's wings and pinning her to the wall of the cave. Or at least, that's what it looks like at first.

It might take the demon maiden a moment to realize that while yes, her spear did pierce the sphinx's wing... the structure of Arcadia's wings make it less devestating that she had intended. The lancing blow shattered one of the panels and cracked a few others, but their segmented nature limited the amount of destruction done to the overall structure, and while painful to the enforcer in general.

Also there's the fact that Arcadia doesn't specifically need said wings to fly. A point made about the same time as the demon would realize what her attack really did that Arcadia ignites the magitek thrusters on her back and her armored skirting to boost herself upward and away from the weapon. Her wings do spread partially to help stabilize herself, even with the busted panels, and somersault to land on the opposite side of the cavern.

After she lands Arcadia pulls a staff-like device out of her inventory. "I think you need to take the edge off that temper of yours." She twirls the staff once, then grips and points it towards the demon maiden. The opposite end opens up to revealing the megadiamond lens inside as it starts to glow from Arcadia channeling arcane energy into it. "Slow down and think about the mistaken life choices you've made!"

A conical beam of energy sprays from the device to wash over the demon maiden and her riding steer. It stings and tingles, but doesn't seem to do all that much in the way of harm.

Yet the next time the bull moves to attack, it will find it harder to build up the momentum it needs to strike hard as it has been. Likewise the demonic maiden can still strike with her spear, but it will be harder to generate the force she was before.
Because Arcadia's secret weapon disrupts their inherent inertia, the force that keeps something in motion, and thus how hard they can hit from said motion.
Rean Schwarzer So, the bull was resisting the fire. Time for a new angle, then....after he recovers, because that bull just kicked him in the gut. Rean grunts, going flying (again.)  He lets out a few coughs and then rights himself. He then rushes the bull, swinging his sword as he passes with enough speed that one strike blooms into many.

"What did your sisters do, anyway?" Rean asks the bull lady.
Now might not be the best time to be asking the boss for her backstory, Rean.
Katt Having connected with both feet, Katt springs away from the demonic milkmaid, doing a complete flip while using her staff to lever herself further away from the return assault.

The result is that Katt lands about ten feet away, having bounded away just as the sword whistles through a cut just in front of her. It's close, and Katt knows she's pushing her luck when she leans forward slightly, sticking out her tongue at the maid. "C'mon! This isn't my first rodeo! Why don't you show me what you're made of?"

Sidestepping, Katt uses Kotone and Arcadia firing various weapons as a distraction, letting her maneuver around the maid. Once she's behind the bull and its rider, Katt steps up, bounding up, literally trying to jump off the rear of the bull itself and send herself catapulting up into the air...

...where, spinning her staff on the descent, she delivers a massive two-handed blow almost straight down toward the head of the rider! "C'mon! You ain't nothin'!"
Archer EMIYA      Archer is tossed rather easily, his body hitting one of the cave walls with a large metallic thud as he slides down to the ground. There's no doubt the servant has clearly broken a few bones from the force of that impact, but they slowly pick themselves up.

They can't afford taking another unlucky hit like that. Better to just go out using their best rather than not doing anything at all.

"Alright. Watch closely, kids. The light you're about to witness belongs to the sword of the King who can never be reached."

A series of green lines run down the Heroic Spirit's arm like before, though this time there's visible strain. Not just on their face, but their arm as they're clearly fighting some sort of muscle spasm.

The rough silhouette of a sword takes shape in Archer's hand, its form solidifying as he grasps onto the hilt with both palms. A blue and gold sword with a silver blade. A weapon which, while ornate, is clearly made more for battle than for show.

"Excalibur Image: Forever Distant Golden Sword"

Archer takes a step forward, before bringing the divine blade down, slicing the air and creating a massive beam of holy light that's directed towards the bull-riding woman. The force of the attack causes the weapon to disintegrate in their hands instantly, but the attack is out, so it's not like the weapon is needed any longer.
Ishirou "Hmph!  You're not even flesh and blood, some sort of abomination!" She accuses Kotone.  The shot from the gun lands square in her chest, causing blood to drip from the inside of her armor.  With an annoyed grunt, she aims to grab the arm of Kotone and toss her from the mount, trying to discard her like a broken toy.

"You mean fight people who aim to steal from me, and to take what is mine by right?  Yes, I should instead throw away my honor to satisfy YOUR greed, what/ever/ was I thinking!" she booms towards Arcadia.  The beam of energy washes over her, even threatening to reduce her momentum.  With a force of will, the magic seems to fade away from her body, as she instead charges towards the flying Arcadia, and this time attempt to impale THEM.

Rean rushes the bull, as one strike becomes many.  Hundreds of small gashes open up along the bull, causing it some great discomfort.  However, this time it catches the eye of the master.  Her spear returns to her hand, as she attempts to impale Rean this time...activating a very nasty effect.  Spurs attempt to dig through his skin, aiming to weaken his stamina.  "I shall not tell it in the heat of battle, worm!  Fight, or die!"

The two-handed strike SMASHES into the head of the bull riding woman.  The strike smashes the helmet off of the woman, revealing a scarred face.  As if she were submerged in something boiling.  Here her skin is pure white as if the color of milk itself.  Even as blood drips down her face, and she reels from the blow.  Her eyes glow a deep red as she attempts to tear the spear out of Rean, and seems to charge away...only to circle back around.  She moves BEYOND fast this time, as she attempts to spear Katt, using the bull's now enhanced speed to try and finish the job.

"No, it is YOU who are nothing.  You and your friends die here!  I will not allow your souls to escape so easily, as I will make them suffer for eternity, I will break them, as I will break your bodies.  You will scream for respite, but will fine NONE!"

The holy light surges as she finishes the line, aiming to try to evaporate or cleanse her soul.  She screams in absolute pain as her very existence is put at risk.  As the smoke clears, the sizzling form of the Demonic woman and her steed remains.  Both of them are looking terribly unsteady, and she looks up with a glare in her eye.

"Harm," The words are full of bitterness, but the negative energy attempts to wrap around Archer's very being, attempting to snuff out whatever life he had, and do what the spell says so simply.  Harm him.
Kotone Yamakawa The fight is getting very intense her the Guardian is no laughing matter as she's taking the attacks, everyone, form Aracaia to Rean Archer and the mysterious Katt are throwing out at her.

"My body was shattered so it was replaced, I'm not an abomination. I'm still who I was. The GHOST matters, not the shell."

She's flicked off however and it hurts, more damage is done. The good news is she's free and she now has a chance to pull a weapon from her storage system. The rifle vanishes replace by a rail gun bigger than Kotone is, she'll level the weapon aiming for the guardians mount, lines up the shot and will triple tap it, a boosh sound can be heard with each shot as the hypersonic rounds are fired
Arcadia Arcadia is not all that surprised that the demonic maiden disperses her effort. A lot of big, beefier (pun intended) boss types have means of preserving their primary combat abilities. The attack was still effective in provoking the woman, and in her anger turning to attack the sphinx again. Again with her spear.

That is her first mistake, going after someone with a knack for analyzing combat patterns with the same weapon and similar techniques more than once. Arcadia smirks as she holds up her arms and digs her clawed feet into the ground. There's a flash across her form briefly as the protective magitech wards kick in with the defensive stance.

The spear connects, but at first it's against the arcane shield directed in front of the sphinx from those wards. It sparks as the point impacts, and continues to spark as it presses against the barrier. Arcane sparks krackle across the barrier in the same way cracks would form in a plain of glass. Until the spear finally punches through the shield.

And clangs against the sphinx's chestplate, denting it up by failing to penetrate after most of the force was spent in getting through her shield.

The drain of keeping the shield going, on the other hand, is going to leave her magitek systems reeling unless she can do something about it. But first, she needs to deal with the big angry boss still on the rampage and threatening to reduce their numbers quickly at this point.

Arcadia does a quick kippup backwards, not wanting to stay close to the foe longer than she has to.

Arcadia puts her hands closer together, a glowing orb energy starting to form as she channels two elemental forces into it, growing bigger and more unstable by the moment. She charges it as much as she can muster without completely wiping out her systems, and then hurtles it towards the demonic maiden.

"HURRICANE BLITZKRIEG!"

The arcane super attack screams across the chamber at it's target to detonate in a crushing blast of electricfied air pressure, the destructive force of it's namesake compressed into a much smaller and more destructive space around the target.
Katt Oh she's fast. Katt was counting on her slowing down, at least for a moment, and she's not getting that at all. She whirls, at first trying to entirely clear out of the way, but speed alone won't save her here.

Instead she begins to spin her staff, snapping it out in a powerful two-handed blow - but not for the maid. Katt smacks the side of her spear, knocking it aside and out of line despite the incoming speed. The speartip passes past Katt without touching her.

Unfortunately the length of the spear does not, and the haft slams into Katt's chest, drawing a painful grunt from her that gets louder as the bull practically tramples her. She might not have been impaled, but she's not getting out of this easily.

Katt is dragged along for several yards before she rolls away, scraped up and battered. She does not vault to her feet with her customary speed, but she does get up, striking fast whirling staff strikes. None of them are especially powerful - she's trying to keep up the pressure while she looks for a better opening.

And keep her from following up against Archer. One of those blows was enough!
Rean Schwarzer Rean shrugs. "Hope you plan to keep your word." He says to the demon lady. Of course, she then stabs him. Rean pulls back, trying to dislodge himself from the weapon, but that only makes things worse. The barbs on the spear dig even deeper into his flesh as he withdraws, creating more wounds and aggravating existing ones. Rean coughs, spitting out blood.  Well...crap. Everyone was flagging and once again one of these expeditions was going south.

Rean ignites his sword again, and rushes the rider again, aiming a jumping slash at her, swinging his sword down on her repeatedly if it lands.
Ishirou The railgun tears through the bull and woman, chunking a large part of the Fallen angel and her mount.  Despite this, she was still standing, defiant of her fate.  Even as the follow-up attack from Arcadia tears through the other side.  Electrified air pressure surging through both mount and rider.  While very bloodied, she still stands.

Staff strikes come for the Warrior, who attempts to defend the best that she can, focusing her strikes.  She's focusing on the move after this one, trying to live one step from now and no more.  To deliver one strike that would finish this.

Rean comes in, and she is ready for him, dropping the spear this time and the sword is in hand.  His first strike takes down the mount, it's head lopped off.  She falls with the mount, but onto her back.  She forces herself to her feet, struggling.  The two collide with sword in hand, and while the heat does not bother her...

The final strike does.  Rean manages to cut through her demonic blade, and the following thrust impales her.  Falling to the ground, she can only stare at the ceiling gasping for air.  The runes on the ground start to fade, as her life leaves her.

Her hand reaches out to the blade, desperate as she attempts to speak.  "My...revenge..." she says, potentially full of despair.  Until her hand drops, and her eyes stare lifelessly at the weapon she had devoted everything to destroy.

The Cheeseblade is now free to be taken back to I4.
Arcadia There's still a bit of static charge in the air around Arcadia from her arcane assault, popping and hissing as it slowly dissipates. Despite the expenditure of energy she's still got some go left, tail twitching as she watchs the combination of attacks tear through the enemy, and Rean making sure she -stays- down. The dying gasp is enough to finally get her to relax a bit, grinning as she wiggles her fingers to get the rest of the lingering sparks out of him. "Aw yeah. Now that's why I like to see in a challenging fight! Not knowing if we'd make it until the end. The thrill, the danger, the rush of the final push to victory!"
Katt Katt is definitely preparing for a more powerful maneuver, but it's more important to press the attack than to open up immediately - Katt might be reckless but even she knows you have to open up the target. And she thinks she sees one coming up -

But Rean seizes the initiative before she can. "Hey!" Katt shouts, upset at at being preempted, but even she can't deny that it was a stellar maneuver; she bristles, but she puts up with it, ear flicking in irritation as the cheese maid falls. Katt looks over toward Arcadia, then to Archer.

"...can I pick it up now?" Katt asks, forcing herself to sound less worn-down than she is. "...Actually, do you think the gems are still cursed? I kind of like this one." She reaches down, picking up a particularly glittery one she knocked free earlier.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa knows things are on the ropes here for them and the Guardian and it's getting close even as the fury of the entire party brings everything it has against the Guardian. Thankfully their combined effort brings the Guardian down.

Kotone will banish her weapon back into storage and will now try to pull something to at least loosely /patch/ her injury. It should help stop the leakage at best, she needs to get to a medical bay soon though.

"Your choice if you try but I suspect it's a persist after death sort of curse. Given her personality."

She notes to Katt once the sword is recovered? Shes' going to move to get going she needs to get herself patched up.

"Arcadia hit me up later we should talk about the Line."
Arcadia Arcadia grins wide enough to show her fangs at Kotone. "Just be sure to bring something fast."
Katt Katt gives an exaggerated sigh and flips the ruby off her thumb, letting it tumble back down to the ground. "I guess," she agrees, since she doesn't know a damn thing about curses. "Let's take this back and see what they say about it. If it's the wrong one I don't know what I'm going to do!"
Rean Schwarzer Rean manages to break through the guardian's defenses, knocking her off her horse and impaling her. He then gets up backing away as she speaks her last words of her chance at revenge being taken from her as she finally breathes her last. He stares at her lifeless body, eyes wide. That...he wasn't trying to...

Maybe that was a bit too much after all.

Then Katt speaks up about the sword and some of the other treasure.
