Corona Arclite Corona Arclite hasn't been out and about much lately. But there's still a strong plume coming out of the furnace exhaust stack. So it's not like she's disappeared off the face of the multiverse or whatever. The place is as noisy and busy as ever with the machinery running, though where inside the fox may be is still up in the air. Someone should probably make sure she hasn't gotten her tail stuck in a coolent pipe or something again.
Rosa Borrasca It's not like Rosa has been out and about either. She's been in and out of Brimsteel and her own world, and a few others while taking contracts. Right now she has some time off, so she's decided to come on down to Brimsteel for a visit. Totally nothing special or ulterior, for once.

"Hey Corona!" She yells out as she enters the workshop, hoping her friend isn't working with a power tool or something
Corona Arclite The rhythmic metal on metal pounding stops for a moment. "Be rawht with ya!" And then starts again. At least following the sound isn't hard to find Corona hammering away on something over the anvil. It's hardly the most pleasant sound but it almost has it's own harmony to it all the same, with the occasional sizzling of sparks shooting from the contact. Must be something that doesn't shape easily on its own because she's even using the plasma charged hammer.
Rosa Borrasca The jaguar wanders over in the direction of the hammering, and tilts her head a bit, "You workin' with some of that, oh what's it called. You know, that metal that's only on this planet?" She snaps her fingers. She can't quite remember the name. At the moment Rosa's not dressed to hunt, instead wearing just some average civilian clothes.
Corona Arclite "One of 'em, ya." The glowing aura of the hammer shimmers out as Corona sets it aside, then grabs the sheet of alloy and carries it over to drop it in the cooling tank. Don't worry, he smithing gauntlets are made of the exact same stuff, perfect for handling hot and difficult materials. "Smelting pulsarium into it makes it more durable an' heat resistant, but also means it takes mo'heat to work with it. The plasma chargin' muh hammer keeps it from coolin' off too quickly while workin' it."
Rosa Borrasca "No that makes sense." Rosa replies, "I don't know much about blacksmithing but I know it has to be really hot to be able to move it so if you can keep it hot and move it at the same time, that'd probably work really well." She rubs her muzzle a bit, "So when you getting off work? Or do you make your own hours around here?"
Corona Arclite "That's also why it's only found here s'far." Corona jabs a thumb over her shoulder towards the hulking machinery of the furnace at the back of the shop. "Brimsteel's already hot as hell, it's easier to pump up some magma and use geothermal energy to smelt the stuff."

The fox pauses a moment to pull off the gauntlets and set them aside. "More or less. 'Specially now that Ah got some of the molemen t'do more the busywork. Miss C's got em workin' on clearin' out the ol' Thundersmack mine, an' Molenard can make his folks tools fer it but needed a heap of the raw materials to do so." There's your explaination of why she's been busy off the main scene lately.
Rosa Borrasca "Still not sure how you convinced them to actually work with you instead of against you." Rosa replies, laughing a bit. She knows where Corona keeps the drinks, so she makes her way over to the fridge and grabs one, "You want anything?" She asks while she's over there
Corona Arclite By sheer luck of coming across the ones that don't like the kookamany king anymore than she does, mostly.

Corona chuckles a bit. "Ah see ya paid attention to previous visits." She tosses the work apron over the rack and saunters over to the fridge herself. "Now that Ah'm done workin', Rosy, sure. Nice of ya to come down fer a visit."
Rosa Borrasca "Hey I don't just come around here for the view." Rosa replies, as she hands over one of the drinks and then pops one for herself, "And yeah I wanted to come visit, it's been way too long since I stopped by."
Corona Arclite True to mechanic form Corona forgos the fancy bottle opener and just uses one of her wrenches to do so. "Guess y'all been busy lately too huh?"
Rosa Borrasca "Doing my best to take contracts and keep up business, but it turns out when worlds have superheroes and magical guardians and who knows what else, it makes bounty hunting really complicated." She muses a bit, before taking a drink, "Gonna have to expand my horizons a bit."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite takes a long draw on her own drink before replying. "Ah know how that feels at first. Just means ya gotta adapt a li'l is all. 'Sides, even the big fancy an' almawhty folks can't be ev'rywhere all the time. Doubt there's much shortage of work once ya know where to look."
Rosa Borrasca "That's a fair point." Rosa responds, "I mean I just need to look where there's folks that won't freak out at what I look like. You ever notice there seems to be way more human worlds than non human ones? Wonder why that is.." She muses, taking another long drink
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite snorts and flicks her tail. "Not to mention some of those folk that're s'ppose to be 'the greater good' are too far up the arse of their high horse to help where its really needed."
Rosa Borrasca That gets a big laugh out of Rosa, "Tell me about it. City government back where I come from is so corrupt they wouldn't know a good deed if it kicked them in the junk." She sighs and rubs her muzzle, "But I think that's way more common no matter where I look."
Corona Arclite "Unfortunately," Corona agrees. "But that's why we're where we are and ain't in the groups that gotta suck up to those sorta varmints, innit now?" She pauses to hoist herself up to sit on the workbench and lean back. "It's tuff 'nuff gettin' paid fer bringin' in some hoodlum as it is, don't need some highbrow tryin' to say ya can't help unless they're payin' fer the privilege. Bein' for a good cause or not don't change that it's a frassin' racket."
Rosa Borrasca "Ain't that the truth." Rosa sighs and sets her drink down, "You get tired of working within the system, you know? Just wanna find folks and get to work. That's why I like it around here, nobody's trying to tell me anything to do or whatever."
Corona Arclite "Perks of frontier justice.. It's what ya make of it fer yerself." Corona drains the end of her bottle, and lobs it across the workshop into a refuge bin with the same accuracy she handles her handgun with. "Nuttin' 'gainst the 'official' law in itself, but unless it's one of the Rangers that's 'round here anyways it takes too bloody long fer any sort of official investigatin' otherwise."
Rosa Borrasca "If you know who did it, then yeah, go get 'em. Waiting for the cops just means he might get away.." Rosa tries to aim for the same shot Corona just pulled off, but misses wide. She gets up, moving over to pick up her can, and then moves back, "Let me try that again.." Switching to a stance like she was throwing a knife instead of a can, she flings it and it goes straight in, "Guess it pays to play to your strengths."
Corona Arclite "Yup." Corona hops off the bench again. "I'm gonna go clean up but make y'self at home."
Rosa Borrasca "Yeah you know it." Rosa replies, as she finds somewhere to sit down and puts her feet up, for a sec, before she goes to help Corona clean.
