Ezra Mochizuki CONVENTION CENTER, LOS ANGELES
AFTERNOON

The Raiden Corporation's New Future of Humanity convention has drawn people both from this world and others. A leading figure in the world of cybernetics, they've marketed themselves heavily since the recent unification as 'those will change humanity's future, for the better'. The rumors have been simple: they've invented man-made superpowers. While analysts are skeptical, if that's truly what they're revealing, it could be big, not just for this world, but for their neighbors, as well.

As such, representatives of various factions have been invited to the expo; others may be here as extra security or even just regular visitors. There'll be time at the booths to talk to people before the keynote speech, where they're expected to unveil whatever huge new thing they have.

The convention center is huge. There's many, many booths, showing off different inventions, sub-companies, letting people talk about financing for their own cybernetics, whatever. It's one of the biggest companies in the world, and while Japanese in origin, they've chosen to focus this in the USA, likely due to the extremely capitalist nature of the company and the freedoms given to corporations working there.

Dividing half-walls make separate the booths, and as one passes through the security into the center itself, there's a lot to see. Fully functional and articulate prosthetics, people wearing them, pitches for altered-reality and enhanced senses, pitches for /replacement hearts/, all sorts of fascinating things.

There's a lot of people here, including a small group trying to stay to themselves. They're in hoodies, hoods up, generally minding their own business. One of the booths is particularly lonely, but also perhaps particularly interesting: a man with brown eyes and black hair in a jacket and jeans, with pitch-black prosthetics in the form of his left arm and both legs, in front of a sign saying 'ASK ME ANYTHING'. He's whistling a tune, waiting for people to come by, as he wears a name tag saying 'HI, MY NAME IS Ezra'. He has brochures, talking about the prosthetics the company provides, but it seems that 'ask me anything' really means /anything/.

Probably because he's a little bored.
Majima Goro Majima Goro, President of Majima Construction, has absolutely no interest in cybernetics. He's pondered, occasionally, getting a fake cybernetic eye, sure, with a laser sight on it, or something, because that'd be completely hilarious. However, he is, of course, a Hand of the Concord, and there's significant interest from -them- in this convention to call for his arrival.
That, of course, means bothering to dress the part. Gray suit, bright red shirt underneath. Plain eyepatch, and flanked by two or three men in business suits behind him.

"Eh, Nishida. Whaddaya think, eh? Ya want onna-these AR visors? Maybe getcha a 2-D girl ta go with it?"

A nervous looking Japanese man's eyes widen, and he stammers a little. "Wh--Boss, I don't--I, er, that is, I..you don't--"

"Nehahahah!" There's a solid slap on Nishida's back, causing the man ta stumble. "Just fuckin' joking ya, eh? Arright. How bout this guy over here, he's willin' ta be asked -anything-," He says, offering a wide grin.

So he strides forward. It's not a busy booth, it's fine. He leans right up, before outright sitting on the corner opposite Ezra, rubbing his chin.
"So, eh, ask ya anything, eh? That ain't backfired on ya yet?"
Kotone Yamakawa Other world's cybernetic did often catch Kotone's interest, given her state of existence. It was good to know what she might go up against in her line of work. Or even things that might be possible modifications for her shells that she used. When the invite came out and they had invited her? After the surprise, she'd fallen on this new world's radar? She would go to see what this world has to offer. She also was curious to see the pricing factors on their cyberware. It was always good to keep in mind too.

she's fairly casually dressed, well for her sleeveless long coat, shirt, pants and boots made up the rest of her outfit as she came upon the ask me anything booth. She takes note of Majima and the ever suffering Nishida have come in to check out things too.

She'll fall in line waiting for a chance to ask her question.

"So I'm curious how long did it take to adapt top your prosthetics?" She will also greet the pair.

"Majima, Nishida it's been a while."
Cantio     One of the visitors to this expo is here tentatively on business, but her excited expression and bright-eyed wonder make it hard to tell that Cantio's a rep for anyone at all. A tourist from another world, easily, but a member of a formal military? Harder to sell by appearances alone.

Her attention isn't on the altered-reality gear, though, nor the medical technology or the enhanced senses. Sure, the senses could be useful, and she makes a mental notes to come back to that later, but her attention is on the stranger-looking man representing the prosthetics company. "

"Hi! Are your company's prosthetics meant for mass production or are they more along the lines of designer items? Do they allow for any modular attachments?" It's not until after she speaks that she notices that there's already several people nearby, including one particularly frightening-looking man in an eyepatch.

That's an easy way to get her to back up a few feet quickly.
Hesinca Hesinca arrives via glowing floor tile, just sort of popping into existence out in front of the expo, along with a pair of penguin things.

"It'd be a lot more convenient if this thing didn't always put me at the *entrance* to everywhere," she grouses as she looks around. "Like... if I got to be inside from the start, for once."

"That's what happens when you get your pocket netherworld built by the lowest bidder, dood," says Left Prinny.

"Yeah... remind me to smack around the guy I stole it from," says Hesinca, as the trio heads for and then through the entrance. "He really should have gotten the deluxe model for me to steal."

The heavily plate-mailed demon centaur would probably set off every alarm in the security checkpoint... that is, if she bothered going through it properly. Instead she just heads straight in, pushing past any lines or barricades that get in her way. "Concord," she snaps irritably at whoever tries to stop her, and presumably they back off.

She stops at the 'ask me anything' booth, and considers. "Hey."

"What's the most vaulable thing here?" she asks.
Veldus gau Hydrus Veldus is here both as a representative of the Paladins AND of Garlemald.  However, as the mission was one of (marginal) peace, the man did not walk in head to toe in the standard Garlean armor.  Thinking ahead, he checked out what might pass as acceptable ware in this new land.  Thankfully, there were Paladins well versed in this kind of thing, so when he arrived he appeared in a three-piece suit, as a representative should look.

Veldus is a younger-looking man, with fair features.  His hair is a short and red-color, and carefully groomed.  He has a pair of black eyes, and not a single hair on his face, apparently disliking beards or just has poor luck in growing one.  The suit in question is a dark blue affair, with a white shirt underneath the outer suit layer.  Black shoes polished to a shine, and with everything so neat and orderly, one might realize he was either very...particular, or military.  The odd thing that sticks out the most is a single 'pearl' in the middle of his forehead.

The 'Ask me anything' sign had gotten his attention, but more so the people in hoods.  People in hoods always leads to trouble, as his experience with fighting those who summon gods goes.  Maybe they were harmless, but he was not taking chances.  So in line, seemingly making sure not to attract too much attention to himself while he kept an eye on them.

"How do these compare to genetic modification or aetheric reenforcement programs?"
Hamada Haru Hamada Haru isn't the person that you send to be your rep to an event in an adjacent world. But sometimes your family has pissed off the guys up top, and you end up eating an assignment that is only barely technically within the job description. So here's here, after spending some time finding a decent place to park his extremely expensive and not-even-remotely-threatenable motorcycle.

That was a while ago.

He's been meandering the convention floor listlessly for a while, a distinctly irritable expression on his face, occasionally taking free things on offer by exhibitors. It's never anything all that valuable, but a few crappy pens can occasionally come in handy.

He's only just making his way past Ezra's booth when something catches his attention. No, it's not the ASK ME ANYTHING sticker. Plenty of people have that covered.

It's not even the Thinly Veiled Yakuza, who /do/ get a sharp glance out of Haru as he scopes out the booth.

No, it's the /crew/ with raised hoodies. The Yakuza are making themselves pretty obvious, so they're probably proportionately "safe", but weirdos just kind of loitering in-uniform are /usually/ trouble.

He diverts course to one of the many obligatory identical water coolers at these events, fills a paper cup, and loiters there, observing without the first hint of pretense that he's not.
Ezra Mochizuki Majima approaches the ASK ME ANYTHING booth. The sign was clearly handwritten. It probably wasn't the actual thing he's supposed to be doing. "I don't think so, personally. Someone asking me about my favorite cat breeds has been the highlight of my day." He's tapping at a phone, briefly.

"Russian Blue, by the way." The man says, only looking up then to take a brief glance at Majima, his goons, and then close his Flappy Bird to pocket the phone.

Ezra glances over Kotone, smiling lightly, though there's a slight sigh. He's probably been asked a lot of cybneretic questions. "Adapt? Better half of a year. I had a team working with me, and I was younger, so I adapted fast, but it was still pretty harsh."

Cantio asks about the company's prosthetics. He straightens up, going into 'business mode'. "We have both 'designer models' and 'mass-produced models', depending on the branch of the company. The Kaminari Mark III is the most 'modular' piece we have - it has several attachments, depending on what exactly you'd like to do with it, miss."

Hesinca asks a question. This one makes Ezra laugh, smiling brightly. "Me." He's absolutely shitposting, but he seems to probably believe it, too.

The word aetheric seems to Immediately get Ezra's attention, though he brushes it off after a second. "Well, as a cybernetics representative, I'll tell you that we have genetic altering beat. There's no harmful DNA tampering, no risks of turning into a monkey, nothing like that. Our limbs will make you feel whole again." The latter part about monkeys is clearly a bored man being silly, as he drums his fingers against the desk. "Aetheric reinforcement programs?"

The group in hoodies are mostly keeping to themselves, though Veldus would catch a glimpse of the man leading the pack. He's covered in burn scars (probably why he wears the hoodie?), which are absolutely hideous to look at. Haru gets a glimpse of another - he's got what appears to be a skin condition, making his skin look 'spiky', almost. Another, an average-looking teenaged girl, pulls out a phone and starts taking pictures subtly - though they don't give vibes of being 'rival corporation' whatsoever.
Hesinca "Ah. You're the most valuable thing here. Thank you."

Hesinca digs inside of her armor and produces an oversized butterfly net. "Could I get you to stand still for a few seconds, please?"
Ezra Mochizuki Ezra blinks several times at the oversized butterfly net, and sifts his chair to the right a bit. "Can you please wait until the /end/ of the keynote to kidnap me? I don't want it to get cancelled, it's gonna be great?" He's unsure if she's actually serious, but the butterfly net makes him, well, anxious.
Cantio      Still keeping her distance from Majima, Cantio nods as she listens intently to Ezra's brief pitch of the company's models. "Intriguing... Do you mind if I take a look at those models some time? I'm actually the... Er."

She starts getting a little lost in hearing the talk of DNA tampering, cats, adaptation, and... Aether? It's clear she's trying to retain what she's hearing, but it's coming from so many directions at once! Not to mention the centaur-lady pulling out a butterfly net. "I... I don't think that's a good idea, miss. Would that even work...?"
Hesinca "That seems reasonable," says Hesinca. "I'll wait till the keynote is over."

She lowers the butterfly net.
Majima Goro Majima Goro slowly raises a brow as Helsinca pulls out the net. His hand raises for a moment, before the hand curls, and he puts it under his chin instead, and he slowly, languidly slides off the table. "...cats, eh. eh, I can't have a cat myself, ya know? But I get it. Fuckin' allergies and shit." Is he going to stop his subordinate from attempting this? No.

Because this is *incredibly* funny.

"Ah, well. You, ah, you deal with that and I'll get back to ya, eh?" He wiggles his fingers a bit.
There's some suspicious looking people in hoods, but as he well knows, suspicious thugs always attack first. There's no need to get uppity over it until afterwards. Besides, some Garlemald shmuck's here. "Neheheh. Three times as much eye as I got, and ya still lookin' for upgrades?"

Cantio, though, Cantio gets Nishida's attention. The nervous looking man looks over, giving an awkward smile and a wave. Sure, one day, he'll be as cool and suave as Majima. "Oh, good afternoon!" He says, helpfully.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa says "Sounds about right, I can say from personal experience it is harsh. Still, that's all things considered pretty fast adaptation. Also, does the company just do partial or do they go all the way to full body replacement?" Kotone does seem curious she's in a mix of business mode and just plain curious. Canito gets her attention as she looks her over for a moment with interest. She looks at Hesinca for a moment and just stares.

"just what are you ... doing?!"
Hesinca "I'm getting ready to kidnap this person," says Hesinca.

"I mean, what does it *look* like I'm doing?"

She gives Kotone an odd look.
Majima Goro "...Fuck else ya gonna do with a net that big, Kotone?"

Majima also returns the look with a vague hand gesture of 'duh'.
Veldus gau Hydrus "Why would a genetic treatment turn you into a monkey?" Veldus asks more the air than anyone in specific.  It just seems such an oddly specific thing to say, but he dismisses the comment as just idle banter from a guy who's bored and forced to do something he doesn't want to do.  His eyes peer back towards the group.  That certainly is a thing, and the fact that he's...was there a connection?  Revenge?  It's not a rival...

"Hm?  Oh, you know, reinforcing the natural Aetherical composition of a person so that they can enhance their attributes.  Strength, dexterity, stamina, and even the ability to cast more advanced forms of magic.  I am not an expert on the field itself, but I know the basics enough to be dangerous," He comments.

Then there is the back and forth between the Centaur and Ezra.  It seems the beast tribes here are very bold.  Was she here to bring him back for tempering, or is it some strange Multiversal ritual?  The fact that she agrees to wait tells him that it's probably not primal interference.  Which means the current issue is still the scar hooded man.

"The beastman's purpose seems very obvious," he says towards Kotone.  "I am currently occupied, so you should watch out for her," he says with a pause, nodding to Majima.  "You should pay more attention."
Cantio      At least two people here seem normal enough. Nishida gets a similarly awkward smile and wave, albeit fairly well practiced at that as though she's made public appearances before. Kotone, too, seems to have a sane person's reaction to Hesinca, and Veldus... She's not quites ure what to make of him.

At least he's saner-sounding than Majima. Barely. She's still going to watch him from a distance rather than approaching, though.
Hamada Haru Haru regards the group for a few moments, his attention flicking from one to the next. Taking a sip of the water in his hand, he meanders over towards the girl taking pictures and gestures loosely in the direction she's pointing it.

"Hey. What are you shopping for? I'm not from this world, so I don't know what's worth looking at so much." He turns his body away from her, probably trying to present as nonthreatening as he surveys the surroundings.

"Mechanical augmentation has been falling out of style back home," he explains, gesturing loosely towards one of the prosthetic limb booths, "immune system problems and all."
Kotone Yamakawa The butterfly net was just so out there it utterly rattled Kotone. Veldus also does give her a bit of a deserved verbal slap. Well, not so much a slap but he knocked her out of just going what. She looks to Hesinca for a moment now and says "I would rethink that right now." Kotone's eyes narrow a bit as she looks the Centaur woman over for a moment longer. She looks ready to intercept this should Hasinca keep going but there is the matter of a large number of bystanders at the moment. She does note to Hamada.

"Interesting my world's been able to overcome to that issue using micromachines or what you might call nanites.Though I can see why that would make such things fall out of favour."
Ezra Mochizuki With a sigh of relief that he's not immediately getting kidnapped, Ezra brushes it off, turning to the others. Kotone gets another reply. "Full adaptation is a goal of the Raiden Corporation, though it's not currently feasible, technologically."

Majima gets a nod. "Yeah, my sister was allergic. But I've always loved the fuzzy murderous bastards." Ezra's just making small talk, as he turns towards Veldus. "Ah, magic." He understands now, and the weird twig towards 'aether' vanishes completely.

As people are chatting, and the others watch, the group of hoodie wearers meld into the crowd and start to split up - only sheer focus on them can catch where they're going. The girl ends up awkwardly getting caught by Haru, and as her friends leave her, she starts trying to figure out what to say - she's clearly covering for Something, but it's yet unclear if it's malicious. "Uh, well, my f-father might have to lose his leg to cancer, and we were thinking about shopping Raiden, immune system problems even so..."

Obvious half-truths. He's probably sick, but she doesn't actually want to shop Raiden.
Veldus gau Hydrus Kotone seems set back into gear, which pleases Veldus, which means that he can focus on the other situation.  With a nod towards Ezra, he considers the strange attitude towards magic.  Is it just not a thing here?  Is it common here?  Is this man just particularly uninterested?  Maybe it's the obvious bionics.

That is worthy of reporting, he considers.

"I must excuse myself, I will try and make it to the event," he says calmly, and then turns.  His goal right now is to try and keep a beat on the 'leader' figure.  Noticing one of the other coats is talking to someone else.  Odd, are they in on it?  A conspirator?  Potentially.  Mentally keeping the face to memory, he focuses on trying to keep up with the hoodies.

He considers informing other potential paladins by radio.  However, after a moment disregarding that.  Making a fuss might distract people and provide the 'demon' a means to try and kidnap the augmented one.  Also, more true than anything else, it would help his standing to catch and stop the man on his own.

This recycles once, then realizing that if he should fail, then all of the blame would end on his plate...and he is not entirely sure about extraversal threats yet.  After a moment, he disregards the caution in his mind.  It is unlikely the savage has anything he should be worried about.
Hesinca Hesinca just simply waits patiently and single-mindedly near Ezra, gripping her oversized butterfly net (but keeping it held down, in the manner of a gun pointed at the floor).

The prinnies, meanwhile, fan out and start perusing the booths.

Or rather, they're perusing whatever free samples, snacks, drinks, or just whatever convention freebies they can get their hands on while acting like they're interested in the products on offer.

"Oh yeah, cybernetic augmentation thingy, that's so in right now, dood," says one of the prinnies to a vendor. "I represent a... company thingy that does like a million of whatever, dood, and we're totally interested in more snacks - I mean more cyber thingies."
Cantio     The hoodie people don't get Cantio's attention, unfortunately. She's a little too distracted by Hesinca wanting to kidnap Ezra while Kotone hints at intervening, glancing over at Majima and Nishida a few times to try and get some ideas on how to proceed with this predicament!

"S-so... Um. What are the odds of developing somewhere closer to middle between mass-production models and designer?" Not that she'll stop asking Ezra questions about all sort of weird details about the cybernetics. Tech specs, primarily, but there's a distinct feeling of WHOLESALE BUYER coming from the incessant questions that isn't just some jerk asking because she wants to buy two or three. No...

"If they can be mass-produced... Oh, but then there's the copyright issue..." She might just sound like someone looking for a straight up contract for these things.
Hamada Haru "Might have to? You're not sure?" Haru responds to the girl, taking out his own phone and thumbing through something-or-another. He continues, "Depending on how much of the leg it is, something 3d printed might be less of a hassle while having most of the performance. Not very expensive, either. Ah--"

He extends a finger from the cup in his hand, "Your friends are taking off. Are they here in support of your father?"

Lifting the hand holding the cell phone up to his face to awkwardly half-cup his mouth, he calls, "Hey. You bunch with the hoodies! You're missing somebody!"
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is going to have to keep an eye on Hesinca now, she won't resort to violence though unless things escalate. Meanwhile, Veldus gets back to business. She is curious about the cybernetics she looks to the Prinny for a moment and just deadpans are them.

"Sure and I have a bridge to sell you."

She notes to the Prinny. She is taking note something else might be going on and will. She will take a moment to check for any odd wireless signals that might be going on. She's also got to keep an eye on Hesinca still so she won't be able to check for signals for very long, and now there's the matter of the hoodie girl. Though Hamada seems to have that in hand.
Majima Goro Majima's not here to babysit prinnies. In fact, there's absolutely no valid reason for him to waste an iota of time on the dumb little cloth penguins, especially when there's important Concord work to be done here, and mysterious hooded people to chase after.

So it should, of course, go without saying that one of the Prinnies gets tapped on the back of the head, to find Majima just..laying down on the ground behind him, head propped up in one hand, waving his knife around a little with the other. His legs whimsically slide to and fro behind him, angled into the air in that one way. You know the way.
"Nee~, Prinny-chan. You aren't *misbehaving*, are ya? I understand that puts a *real* damper on your reincarnation chances."

Sure, it's a highly influential Multiversal figure laying on the floor traumatizing a penguin, but what else is that power for?
Ezra Mochizuki The Prinnies get stuff. They get ignored if they linger at a booth, or asked to leave, but they definitely get Way Too Many Brochures and other stuff. Somebody nearly tramples on one in the crowd. Other people stop to gawk at Majima laying on the floor. The knife almost gets a security call, but something more important happens.

Haru calls out the hoods, causing the girl to both get embarassed to death and also extremely scared. So scared, in fact, that her body breaks apart. Her limbs turn into mist, as does her face, as she cries out. "No, stop!" She's trying to bring enough attention back on her, and she does, momentarily. She doesn't seem like a combatant by any metric.

As this happens, Kotone finds quite a few wireless signals, since everyone has devices on. The oddest one is simply called 'DJ_DIGITAL', and is broadcasting from...her own device. That's impossible.

The people in hoodies split up to two different places, literally running after they get called out. One heads towards the side doors, while the other heads towards the back doors. They move fast. Before anyone can actually get to them (and security sure is trying), every unsecured electronic device with a speaker (phones, PDAs, even gaming devices) goes off. They start playing trap music, before someone speaks up over them.

<"Greetings, ladies and germs! This is DJ Digital, straight with you from...well, we're calling ourselves the Flesh Revolution today, but that'll change by tomorrow, for sure. All we want from you is a moment of your time to see the punishment of the bastards at Raiden!">

<"You hear that?"> DJ Digital says over the devices, as the burned individual's hand suddenly lights on fire, welding a door shut, and the spiked individual starts knocking back anyone who tries to get past him, rendering them unconscious almost immediately as his spikes hit them.

<"You've treated us 'Abnormals' as something to cure! Something that you need fancy metals for! We know you hate us, since a man jumped off a bridge after you fired him for being related to one of us. We know you despise us. But don't worry, you don't gotta send the AATF. We just wanna make a trade.">

<"Give us Dr. Shotaro Mochizuki, the man behind the magic, and we'll let all you free! Keynote's canceled, boys and girls. We're the real stars of the show. And if you refuse...">

The flaming individual starts wandering forward, causing people to scatter back. Security guards start to move, when one of their own number draws a gun - an insider, the way they got in there - and begins blasting his 'fellow guards'.

The girl near Haru, though, seems panicked. As a non-combatant (she's someone's sister or something), she's just trying to recompose her body, but anyone who gets close enough to the mist to inhale it starts to choke. It's possibly hallucinogenic, too, though it's too soon to tell. Her voice calls out through the mist, pleadingly.

"We weren't supposed to hurt anybody! Just- just give us the doctor, so that we can make things better!"

This is probably the time everyone's eyes turned off Ezra. The minute 'most people' aren't looking at him, he vanishes, chair spun around. That's super odd!

It seems you'll have to be the heroes tonight.
Majima Goro Majima was busy trying to annoy a Prinny. Now things got serious. He slowly rises to his feet. "...eh? What's this shit about?" He calls out. "Ya got your shitty music on my cell phone, assholes!"

He has his knife in one hand, and the offending cellular device in the other, stalking around. "I don't give a fuck what your little revolution's about, eh? Ya don't threaten the Mad Dog of Shimano if ya wanna keep your teeth."

Spotting the flaming man, he grabs a nearby complimentary water bottle, screwing the lid lightly before throwing the lid. Will it kill him? Of course not. This is about sending a message.
Hesinca The prinny grows a big cartoony sweatdrop on the side of its head.

"N-no, Master Majima dood, I wasn't, I swear!"

It slaps a flipper to its chest. "Cross my heart and-"

The chest-slapping's knocked several purloined items loose.

"Er... those... someone else put those there, dood," says the prinny, another sweatdrop growing.

"Okay, so if the keynote's cancelled, I'm just - oh bless it, where'd they go?"

She looks around, grumbling, and then brandishes the butterfly net menacingly. "You lot interrupted my kidnapping! You're gonna pay for that!"

She runs over and starts attempting to beat the closest target to death with the edge of the butterfly net.
Veldus gau Hydrus Drat, not fast enough.  It also appears that there were insiders in this event.  Not only that, this apparently was to be a kidnapping attempt by holding the entire convention hostage?  Well, it seems that they were neglected to be informed of guests.  He is without his armor, but he really doesn't NEED it.

Holding his hand out, a strange weapon comes into it.  It looks much like a hand cannon but with a slightly extended and larger barrel, and at the end, a bayonet juts out.  He starts walking towards the fire man, weapon out as he pushes through the crowd.  Unlike others, he seems simply to wade through it like a boat in a storm until he comes up to the man, willing stepping in front of the civilians.

There is a spark of electrical energy at the end of the barrel, before he points the weapon at the scarred man, and fires a blast of lightning from the weapon at the man's knees.

"Surrender," Is all that Veldus says.
Hamada Haru Haru blinks at the sudden change in... everything. He looks from the Crew to the girl that he was chatting with. His phone begins to ring with music that he's not particularly familiar with. He immediately flips it, pulls it apart, and yanks the battery out. Then he pockets both phone and battery without missing a beat.

After getting a good whiff of the girl's gaseous form and getting light-headed, he steps back to a safe distance. His hand slides to a badge pinned to his jacket. If Majima /had/ paid him any mind in this time, he'd recognize it as similar but not quite identical to the Tokyo Metro Police Department's.

But he doesn't do anything with it. Haru just holds onto it, downing his paper cup full of water and re-filling it. He flicks the nozzle back to the closed state and stands just barely within safe distance from the gaseous hooded girl.

"Doctor Mochizuki isn't mine to give." This is directed towards her specifically, and not towards any of her more serious or aggressive compatriots.

After a moment, he adds, "But I can rescue you, if you want. There's just the matter of what you would do for me in return."

Haru takes a long draw from his paper cup, deliberately giving the girl just a moment to think, and then adds, "Situations like these usually end up hurting the people that perpetrated them. Extraversals were invited to check out the goods, so your friends are going to be crawling in them in just a minute here."

He empties his cup again, and once again begins to refill it.

This bit would be easier if he'd just gone with a water bottle.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa pause at this strange signal and she will first put her own body into 'Autistic mode' which cuts all of her wireless connections. Second, she'll start looking around for signs of trouble, which doesn't take long as DJ_Digital does his things. Kotone's eyes narrow the tactics sound a lot like certain groups on her homeworld.

With Veldus going up front to keep the attention of the mastermind of this mess? That will give Kotone some time to think and plan, but there's also the issue of the girl. The fire suppression system though is a bit higher on Kotone's list of priorities to get back online, she will bring up her wireless and start trying to get into the sprinkler system to see if she can get it back online. Though with help from Cantio it might just be doable.
Ezra Mochizuki The hooded gas girl is panicking. But as the guy with the cup begins trying to /barter/ with her, and then rubs in that they're in trouble, she thinks, and blurts out the first thing to come to mind - Extremely Sensitive Information.

"Rust! I can get you to Rust! They're the most powerful of us 'abnormals'! They can find you anyone, get you anything - like blueprints from factories we've hit! That's the most I have, please, help me!"

Her mist reacts to her panic, and swirls around, becoming a vaguely humanoid shape.
Cantio     Cantio is quick to notice that things are going wrong thanks to... Well, hearing things going wrong. Between the sudden music coming on and thevoice of someone calling himself DJ Digital, the purple-haired girl slips her hand into her pocket as someone catches on fire and another becomes a walking cactus.

"Doing this here? But there's so many people around! Even if that would get more attention..." Not noticing Ezra's disappearance at all, she talks behind herself as though he was still there. "Keep down, sir. We'll take care of this." With that reassurance given to actually nobody, it's time to figure out how to apprehend these people!

<J-IC-Scene> A voice modulated individual comes onto the frequency. It's not the same as the DJ - and they don't sound very happy. "Fire alarm's not working - sprinklers probably got hijacked. Anyone have a hose?"

That's what she'll do. "Leave it to me!" She announces confidently, although actually doing anything about it... She'll need to figure something out quick on the fly. If the sprinklers aren't dispensing water, she'll just need to get the water flowing. Cantio pulls out what looks like a phone, then starts hammering away at it with her fingers as she tries to get access to whatver system the sprinklers are on.

Is she a skilled hacker? Not really. Is she another player on the field that could be trying to keep attention off herself by not looking like a threat with rookie mistakes and obvious gaps in what she's doing? Maybe. It's a concerted effort with Kotone, though, so she'll see what she can do to get those sprinklers working again!
Ezra Mochizuki Hesinca moves to crash into the gunman. He turns his gun on her, firing several rounds, but they likely do little against her flesh - it's just a gun. As she crushes him, he falls backwards, and then is suddenly slammed into the ground by a force moving Way Too Fast. His arm is broken with a scream, as a figure in what appears to be a high-tech g-suit, like what fighter pilots wear, stops by Hesinca briefly. The voice modulated individual.

"Nice teamwork!"

He's waiting to see if the guy tries to get back up. He doesn't.

Majima throws a water bottle at the flaming guy, which staggers him back long enough - and then incinerates completely, the water turning to steam. The lightning hits his knees, knocking him to the ground - but his pain tolerance is insane.

"HE'S DEAD! AND BECAUSE OF THAT, THEY NEED TO PAY!"

Two flaming hands suddenly go swiping forward. One moves to hit Veldus, and the other to hit Majima. The flames are not 'standard fire spell hot'. They are hot enough to melt fabric.

The spike guy pushes through the crowd, tossing needles at Hesinca and the suited man. If they hit, a powerful drug tries to induce drowziness. The masked man sidesteps out of the way at a breakneck pace, allowing a needle to impact a wall, but he doesn't intercept Hesinca's.

Kotone moves to start hacking into the fire suppression system, with Cantio's help. The valve has a digital turn-on/off - someone's locked it into off. As they start breaking into the firewall, though, someone else comes in. An avatar appears on their device of an internet-globe-symbol, with a smiley face built into it, as their devices start to heat up. But if they can keep it up, despite the pain to their hands or whatever, the sprinklers should be fixable.
Majima Goro "Shit, this is some fuckin' complex shit, ain't it." The man on fire is probably expecting Majima to back away from the flames--to find cover. He does no such thing, instead rushing directly towards the swooping hand, and dropping into a baseball-esque slide just underneath it. Flames scorch at his suit, and he's left rolling at the end and discarding the overgarment.

"...alright. Whoever the fuck 'he' is, I don't give a shit. Ya locked *my* ass in here, and now I'm puttin ya lights out, got it? ...Nishida. Ge'me more ammo, ya fuckin' numbnuts!"

Nishida, who very much does not want to attack a giant flaming hand, looks around panickedly for a moment, before grabbing another water bottle. It's flung directly towards the risen Majima, who spins around, and in one solid movement, swings a baseball bat to knock the next hunk of plastic into the Abnormal.

"...Fuckin' fire department bullshit, eh?!"
Veldus gau Hydrus The flames are burning hot, they unleash on Veldus with unrelenting fury.  The Garlean knows that he can't move easily, if he does so the crowd behind him will have nothing between them and the crazy fireman.  He sucks in a breath and does not flinch.  The fire engulfs him, but instead of burning him to ash, he walks through the flames.

His clothing mostly burned away except for an undersuit made just in case things got crazy, are all that remains, and even that was sizzling his skin.  His body burned, but for some reason, he seems physically tougher than he should be.  He's certainly /hurt/, but he's a far cry from dead, or even on his last legs.

Veldus comes in, Hexigun leading the way as he turns the blade into the water element.  The strike aiming to cut across the chest of the man, as both blade and elemental water aim to try and cut into the chest of his foe.

"They?  All of these people here need to pay for your loss?  What, so that they can decide to dedicate their lives to making your kind pay?  Your loss pains you hotly now, but will it sustain your will the moment you take the life of someone else's son?  When they go on to take those from you you may care for now?"

Another slash follows up, in the opposite direction to make an X across the chest of the man.  "Or is it that you are here so that someone can allow you to meet him on the other side.  Too afraid to live on without them?  Or perhaps too cowardly to do the deed yourself?"

The man's eyes are a cold stare to them, the man who has lost himself.  "If you want justice, then stop.  I will hear your tale and adjudicate it appropriately.  If you simply want a coward's death, then get down on your knees and close your eyes.  However, the only thing you are doing now is giving your grief to another father or another child.  Will that be your legacy?  The man who tore the world apart around them because he was too much of a coward to do real work?"
Hesinca Hesinca gets tagged with a couple of needles, enough to probably knock someone out in short order.

Unfortunately, there's too much Hesinca for a normal dosage to have as much of an effect, between her sheer size and mass and the number of redundant internal organs any given sleep poison would need to affect. All it really does is slow her down.

"Yeah! Teamwork!" she calls after whoever it is. "Teamwork makes the nightmare work! There's no 'I' in Eternal Torment of the Unrepentant Dead! Hell is other people, and people are our greatest asset!"

She puts forth a plan to destroy the convention center here, which would *technically* put out the fire, but it gets shot down. Figures.

"Plan B, then..." she says, reaching into her armor and withdrawing another glowing floor tile. "Alright! Listen up, everyone who can't handle the heat, stand on this thing and it'll get you to safety!"

She tosses the glowing floor tile into the center of the building, and starts shoving evacuees onto it if they don't start evacuating themselves soon enough.
Hamada Haru Haru smiles, the first time his expression has registered anything more than vague interest in the situation. He claps his hands together -- with the badge-like object -- and nods enthusiastically, "Then, we have a deal."

A belt that was most definitely not there before materializes around his waist. He slaps the badge into the center of it, where an aperture in an identical shape is waiting for it. A closing mechanism snaps shut around the badge, a foggy white lens closing atop it.

A mechanical voice drones, < PRIMER SET >

"Light at the end of the tunnel! HENSHIN!"

<< IGNITION >>

The young man that was standing there implodes. A half-sphere of clear black energy roils outward from him, blasting things too near him back-- it seems to be some sort of mid-transformation defense mechanism.

Light armor spreads like a carapace across his body, a black-and-white motif with distinctive "mountain stripes" familiar to the iconic uniforms of the shinsengumi ringing his wrists and the edges of his boots at his calves. A helmet with grasshopper-like features snaps into place around his head, sharp angular eyes defining the majority of its face. A V-shaped crest unfolds, while a similar structure appears in its chest with a crystalline sheen to it, presenting like a superhero's symbol.

Kamen Rider Tetra takes a couple of steps towards the somewhat-more-coherent shape of the hooded girl, and abruptly splits into two. Another Tetra goes walking away into the carnage, heedless of what's going on around him.

The one in front of the hooded girl presses a button along a watch-like device along his left wrist. Out along the street a motorcycle roars to life and engages itself with a rumble. It turns on the spot and drives straight towards the expo, where it...

Passes through /absolutely/ everything, ghost-like, and finally returns to relative tangibility next to the Tetra with the girl.

Kamen Rider Tetra gives the bike a firm tug, angling it up into the air. It sits that way, as if it were resting on a ramp instead of hovering in the air. He climbs onto the bike, and motions the girl to join him.

"Can you pass through solids, or do I need to make an exit?" He asks.
Cantio      It's time for BATTLE HACKING to commence! Cantio's a fair bit out of her element dealing with DJ Digital's presumed presence, but she's feeling confident enough that working with... Whoever Kotone is will even the odds! The heat in her hands is manageable for now, at least, and she doesn't seem too worried about the burning to her or her phone.

She's less worried about her phone than her hands, anyway. She doesn't quite have fancy hacking techniques to sidestep the trickier things, but she has... Persistence? Sure. As she works at that, though, she's also keeping her eyes peeled for clues as to this DJ Digital. A location, an identity, something to try and figure out her next plan of attack as their digital battle continues!

That shouting transformation from Haru, though... That does have her staring quite a bit. "Oh, wow.. Just like in the shows...!"
Kotone Yamakawa Back hacking is always a risk when doing something like this. Kotone is busily focused on the digital end while Cantio uses far more inventive means to try and get things working. In the end, what matters is if one or both of them can get the fire suppression working again. What happens next is not quite the normal back hack she expected. Kotone's smartphone starts to heat up which drops.

For the rest of the hardware she's using? It's rather ... hard to do so as they are integrated she feels pain a good deal of pain and depending on how hot they get her synth skin will start to boil and blister in a few places notably able around the base of her neck. She also has several warnings going off. She'll glance at the avatar and try to keep working but one this hurts, a hell of a lot. Two? She's likely going to need to get some systems replaced after this, but she pushes onwards trying to get the systems back online. She's pushing harder, to try and get done before the damage and pain becomes even worse.

Haru's transformation does not go unoticed, however shell have to worry about that later.
Ezra Mochizuki The fire guy ignores Majima, because Veldus's points are more...well, points. He does not ignore the water bottle, however, as steam explodes in his face, blinding him. This allows Veldus to get his water slash in, which helps dampen the flames, creating more steam, but he's still heating up.

"Who the hell are you?! Why would I let you do anything?! Stop treating me like I'm insane! That's all you people do to us! That we're freaks, or insane, or don't do things right!" Another sweeping fist for Veldus, followed by trying to sift around him and close in on Majima, even as he's staggering from his wounds.

"My brother's dead because they think we're subhuman trash! Peace isn't an option any more, not when they refuse to do anything about it!"

People start escaping out Hesinca's floor tile. Some are too unconscious to actually move, due to the tranquilizers, and needle-guy realizes he can't tranquilize her, so he instead goes to swing his fist at her face, spiky apparatus and all. Probably a mistake. The modulated man is busy ziptying the gunman in a single second, zipties suddenly appearing, responding to her.

"That's pretty cool!"

And then, he notices the motorcycle come through the wall, the other superhero, and...the escaping supporter. "Shit!"

The masked man grabs his radio, not moving to attack and cause misunderstandings before things go lopsided too early.

The hooded mist girl, meanwhile, climbs on after she finally gets her body back together, anxiously but rapidly. "Uh...not a thick wall, no. Sorry!"

The pair of supah-hackers manage to bypass the sprinkler locks. DJ Digital's avatar just spins around, meaningless, as the sprinklers finally turning on, creating steam all around the battlefield from the flames.
Hesinca Yes, let's punch someone with Weapon Mastery Unarmed in the face. This is a good idea.

(Also she's ten feet tall, can people even *reach* her face?)

Hesinca responds with a forearm block that quickly turns into her brutally slamming her elbow into needle-guy's face, and then if she manages to get him to go down she rears up and goes to stomp on him a few times with armored hooves.

Meanwhile the crowds start filtering into Hesinca's pocket netherworld, which is basically a city block floating inside of a formless void.

They're advised to go hit the Pocket Netherworld Spa or grab a meal from the Pocket Netherworld Restaurant till this all blows over, all tabs paid courtesy of Concord.
Majima Goro     "Eh?" Majima cracks his neck, eye widening. "Fuck ya still talkin' for? I ain't done shit to your brother, but here ya are, fuckin' with me! I ain't responsible for what comes of that!"
The flaming man is coming closer, but at least now there's constant water, which means this next part might be safer. The ex-Yakuza draws his knife again, throwing it up in the air, almost straight up. As soon as the flaming man is in range, he delivers some kicks--light ones, primarily meant to be a distraction, up until it's time to finally spin around, and drive the ball of his foot into the base of his tanto, sending the knife spiralling into the Abnormal's chest in a completely non-lethal, merely injurious fashion.

"You're just some fuckin' punk who ain't learned shit yet!"
Veldus gau Hydrus Those words hit home, Veldus could tell.  They hit a mark, and because of that he got to hear 'brother'.  Mentally, he starts working through what to say next.  This wasn't just a battle of strength, that could be won, but it would only stop a minor wound, not the actual disease.  The burning hand aims for him with a mighty swing this time.

This time, however, Veldus swings the water blade towards it, not attempting to cut it off, but attempting to use the water to try and parry the strike, aiming to slowly rotate under him, and fire a shot for the back of the man's leg with that same element.  The heat was nearly unbearable, and the steam was just as dangerous as direct blasts...but it was helpful all the same, for blinding the larger man.

"I am Veldus gau Hydrus, a soldier of Garlemald, but I am also a member of the Paladins, bringers of Law, Order, and Justice.  You are not the only one here who has lost.  The difference, between us, is when push came to shove I chose to better my lot in life and attempted to change the world in a way where it could change, and not flounder into chaos."

"I am from a world where my people had to defend themselves too.  We chose to band together, and defend ourselves with our own strength, and now rule those who wanted our destruction with wisdom and strength.  We chose to do so through the process of law and order.  You chose to do so with violence and instability."

"Tell me, do you think one man could stop what this company is doing?  If anything, you are falling into their hands.  You are going to create a martyr.  Nothing can kill a martyr.  Not until what made it is dead and gone."

The blade points right towards his face.  "On the other hand, I offer you a chance.  Come with me, quietly.  I will see to it that you are treated fairly and in Paladin's hands.  I will hear your story, fairly, and I will investigate it.  Then, with law and order, bring those who need it to justice, and you will have peace."

"Or, as I offered before, I can simply send you to him now.  I would urge you to do so without bringing as many people as you can with you, if not for yourself or your brother than for those like you.  Those who will pay for your actions here today, even if you should leave this world."

The blade falls, and Veldus offers the man a hand.  "I know I am asking a lot for you to trust someone, especially someone who stood in your way.  However..." he motions towards the scared crowd that remains, "Did any of them kill your brother?  Or will you take your blame out on every person who is not aware of the truth?  Either way, I ask you to make your choice now."
Cantio      Success! With the fire hazard (almost) taken care of in the water department, Cantio can turn her attention to the next thing that needs work: capturing the culprits! "Good work, miss... Now, let's get the rest of them!"

It's easier said than done, though, with so many unconscious people still around and word that some the culprits are escaping. With the powered people inside being handled already, she breaks into a run to get outside just in time to see the motorcycle speeding off!

"Oh no... I didn't think I'd have to do this so soon, but...!" Closing her eyes, a light envelopes Cantio as her glowing form starts floating into the air. Moments later, she's speeding forward in the air at a rapid clip, flying after that motorcycle at a rapdi clip!

Apparently, transforming and flying is a thing she can do. "Stop! You're going to get yourself and other people hurt if you keep this up!" She calls out to them while trying to take advantage of not having to deal with street traffic in order to get closer to the escaping supporter.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa is sizzling when the springers kick in in certain places the pain is bad but she's managed to help get the fire suppression system back online in all this chaos. Veldrus is doing a pretty serious job of getting one of the attackers to stand down. She'll leave him to it and she calls out to Cantio.

"Thank you."

She notices the evacuation into the base panel is going decentl. Yet? There are those who are no longer conscious. She will dart off into the chaos to start helping/carrying/dragging people who can't make it to the panel to get into it. Whatever she might think of Hesinca's plans to kidnap Ezra? She's helping to keep a lot of bystanders alive right now. For whatever motive she has? Kotone doesn't care for the moment.
Hamada Haru "Nope." Kamen Rider Tetra says to Cantio, from the back of Rider Machine Tetra.

The second Kamen Rider Tetra, which had disappeared to circulate in the crowd and wait for this exact eventuality, sprints up through the air as if there were invisible stairs beneath his feet. It's not as elegant as just flying--- but he's a lot quicker on his feet than she is flying, and he comes in on an intercept path ahead of her more-or-less immediately.

This might be taken to be an illusion at first, but if it was /treated/ as much and ignored it would immediately become evident that it isn't one. Kamen Rider Tetra #2 draws a pair of tonfa from its belt, adopting a defensive stance with one and reversing the grip on the other so that he's using it more like a hook than a conventional tonfa.

On the motorcycle, Kamen Rider Tetra #1 advises the hooded girl, "Hold on tight."

The motorcycle roars to life an instant later, its angled path carrying it up towards the ceiling as if it were an airplane. Its speed is unreal-- compared to all but one person at the expo, not that Tetra is aware of that.

Flicking a thumbswitch on the handle, Tetra glances backwards, "We're not going to hit the wall."

The lone headlight of the motorcycle flashes not with color as it comes perilously near to colliding with the ceiling. A tunnel of thin black miasma spills forward like a tunnel, expanding outwards and simply outright deleting the ceiling blocking Tetra's path. It's clean, precise, and leaves absolutely no debris.

Kamen Rider Tetra #2, innately knowing what #1 was doing, has interposed himself at this very exit. With his defensively-held tonfa he raises and fires it like some sort of energy blaster, each bolt carrying with it a similar quality to the blast that just tunneled through the ceiling.

Even as it does that though, it's readying the other tonfa for a strike when Cantio inevitably approaches.
Ezra Mochizuki Quill Man goes down. Possibly dead, certainly unconscious! The masked man gives her a thumbs up, moves to restrain him without touching the quills, and then moves to go help usher people into the portal with Kotone's help.

Majima's horrible knife slash flies into the flaming man. Even as the knife tries to burn, the kicks and assistance cut him up, staggering him backwards, but not killing him because Majima is an insane virtuoso. He's very badly wounded, though...

But the man goes down to one leg, as the blast hits him. He stares into Veldus's eyes.

"...I can't trust you. You don't really understand. But...fine, take these people. We've lost."

The man stands up, wobbling on one good leg and one wounded one, and tries to go as fast as his body will let him towards the nearest wall. He's thinking of only the pain, as the fire consumes his whole body, trying to melt through the wall as he walks into it, and out the building, unless stopped.

As Tetra calls out to the Mist Girl, she holds on tight as requested. Her alias is Sweep, as she'll tell him during the ride. She winces as the roof melts like a clean tunnel, and also as the other Tetra seems to be beating up a superhero. Wait, is Tetra a superhero? This is awkward.

As all the heroes start cleaning up and police finally start to show up (not that they can catch up with Tetra by any stretch), the masked man stops in the middle of the remaining crowd of wounded. He's been noticed vaguely by people during the rescue, stopping back and forth, getting them in.

His left arms moves way too fast to be noticed.

"Everyone, please cooperate with the centaur and the police! Everything's going to be alright."
Majima Goro Majima is not chasing after the fire man. It's infinitely not his problem. He holds out his hand, without even looking.

There's a water bottle thrown into it from an ever helpful, and loyal Nishida-san, a moment later. He undoes the cap, swigging back and drinking the rest of it in a single gulp.

"Aiiyah. If he had guts, he'd be fuckin' up a research lab, not a conference, ya know? Just some fuckin' kid punks who think they're hot shit."

"Of course, Boss." Nishida bows twice, nodding capituously. Is that a word? Maybe not, but that won't stop Nishida.

He turns around, finally getting a chance to survey the..obnoxious soaking half-burnt wreckage the conference center has become. He crushes the water bottle, tossing it over his shoulder. "Ehhh...fuck. Nishida, start seein' if any companies got sunk or some shit from this damage, and maybe we'll buy 'em up for the Concord. Then this whole thing wasn't a waste, yeah?" He loosens a few buttons on his shirt. "Some of this shit's gotta be worth buyin' up at a bargain."
Cantio      It was worth a shot. Cantio's having a fair bit of trouble trying to keep up with the Kamen Rider, not even realizing that there's a second Rider Tetra waiting in the wings and just seeing him moving around in between multiple places in rapid succession. "What kind of power is this...? Ah! W-watch out!"

That warning is unnecessary, though, when the motorcycle just goes THROUGH a ceiling. She's about to try charging through herself when suddenly, Tetra #2 appears in that same ceiling and shoots at her! She swings herself sideways to avoid getting blasted head on by the strange tonfa-bolt, although the stuff-deleting energy does wing her arm and leave her in a rather rough spot as she comes to a floating standoff with #2.

"Who are you? Why are you helping those kidnappers?" She asks while holding back a wince, seeming hesitant to draw any visible weaponry just yet. Her hand is certainly clenching and unclenching enough that she might have something up her sleeve, but she just.. Isn't yet.
Veldus gau Hydrus Veldus, pulls the gun upwards, not pointing it at the ceiling so much as that is where the barrel ends up, so as to not shoot anyone.  Gun safety is important.  The man considers what to do next as the Fire man escapes, he could shoot him in the back, but the likelihood that whatever remains will be brought somewhere is there.  That is not justice, whatever the man did today, justice is what he seeks at the end.

So instead, he lets him go.  He may not trust him now, but trust is so rarely given immediately, it is a series of bridges.  He hopes to make his before someone else slips in and turns them towards their own ends...instead of /his/ ends.  For now, the winning move was to hold...

Of course, it was also to find the truth and build another bridge.  After all, there was no reason that Garlemald couldn't have too many friends.
Hamada Haru "Kamen Rider Tetra." Haru introduces himself in turn to Sweep, raising his left hand from the handlebars to gesture back at her in greeting. He doesn't seem to think too terribly much of the oddity of introducing himself like that in these close quarters. Returning his hand to the controls, he flips a switch and-- turns on the radio. It's a little odd that it even has a radio.

    BACK AT THE EXPO...

Kamen Rider Tetra #2 waits a moment in silence. He tilts his head in what might be a gesture of curiosity-- but after several long seconds, he replaces his tonfa at his belt. He makes a loose gesture with his right hand towards Cantio, "No one important to this place. And no reason important to this place."

He paces across the breadth of the hole, "This place doesn't have a subscription, so I have no obligation to it. The girl was in trouble and had a good offer. That's all."

You can almost hear the grin on his face as he paces forward a little ways, raising a hand to the side of his helmet to tap it against its 'cheek', "What about you? Why are you helping that business?"
Kotone Yamakawa It could have been a lot worse, a hell of a lot worse. It was still bad, but this is what Kotone thinks as she works with helping the people who were caught up on this. She will nod to the masked man. She'll help moving people or things about cleaning up, or just whatever is needed. She sees fireman escape but well she has no real way to stop him in the end. She's getting a warning that certain systems are broken and will need to be replaced, that can wait as she has work to do.
Cantio     "Then why...?" Oh. Wait. Tetra #2 does end up answering the question, and Cantio listens intently as she lowers her clenching hand. Her other hand, meanwhile goes up to the wound, light shimmering around it to restore the parts affected by the bolt. At the explanation, she sighs lightly while looking off to the side for a moment. "I guess I can't blame you for that, then... It didn't sound like she was on board with their whole plan, anyway."

What really catches her off guard, however, is #2's follow-up question. Also, pacing around that hole, but mostly the question. Her expression goes from its previous somber admission to a more surprised and considerably more startled look. "Wha? I... W-well, they were working together! And even if she wasn't personally kidnapping or attacking people, she... She was helping them!"

She manages to get out that much, at least, although it takes her a bit longer to address the business itself. "I mean, even though I don't really know much about the business.... Kidnapping and attacking people in broad daylight is still wrong. Especially in a crowded place like that or... Driving a motorcycle indoors!" It sounds less like she's chiding Tetra #2 and more like she's just.. Going through whatever comes to mind first that sounds logical enough.
Hamada Haru "If you think I'm unprofessional enough to take the bait and tell you what I know, you're wrong." Kamen Rider Tetra #2 says, coolly. He paces back and forth for a moment more, then reaches down towards his belt.

"Here's one more thing to turn over in your head: Why would the corporation -- not the authorities -- want to take them out alive after they conducted a terrorist attack on their expo?"

He removes something from his belt--but it doesn't seem to be an object that exists on #2. Instead, Tetra #2 simply stops existing abruptly.

    ELSEWHERE...

Hamada Haru re-pins his badge to his jacket one-handed, as he adjusts his altitude downwards. His armor vanishes, retracting back into his form. He relaxes visibly-- and it's probably easy enough to tell for Sweep.

"While I'm like this," He says, "I'm Hamada Haru. You'll need to navigate for me, Sweep."
Ezra Mochizuki The flaming man gets away. The people are mostly safe. Two captured, two escaped.

Sweep moves with Haru. She nods. "I'll navigate to the Scrapyard, don't worry...Rust is kind of scary, but I think they'll thank you. They care about us."

It's not the fastest drive in the world, but then again, it's faster than going through Los Angeles traffic. They'll be fine.
