Karian Icefang     The time had at last come. Gathering with his men near to the Fang, the group looks up. A harsh wind was blowing, hinting at both turbulent times ahead, and the unknowable future awaiting them all. "So, it's come to this..." Karian muses, thinking back to everything that lead to this moment. Within seconds, a subtle eye could notice the void shields protecting one of the few sub enterances into the fang go down. "Looks like our brothers inside have granted us a window. We had best take it." "Aye..." Karian says, starting his march forward.
Damocles A little while ago, a message was sent out from Fenris, warning people that one of the Space Wolves' own captains had fallen to the ruinous powers.  When Damocles picked up the transmission in his tower, he regarded it with, let's say a dose of healthy skepticism.

Actually he didn't believe it and was slightly annoyed by it.

The Space Marines do not admit when one of their own falls to Chaos.  They certainly don't /broadcast it/ across the whole galaxy so everyone will know one of their own fell.

However, as obvious as that is to the Chaos Sorcerer Damocles, he has to admit that for most in the Imperium, they'll accept it without question.  The Imperium is made to not question, especially when it's about questions of Chaotic corruption.

Damocles is made to question, however.  And so he does.  He tugs on a thread normally avoided, and looks within, to the lingering presence of Chaos within his mind.  The tiny whisper of Tzeentch he hears.  Normally doesn't interact with the voice, lest he allow it to get louder and louder in his head, but he has to know.  So he asks, "Was this you?"

The answer Damocles gets is not an answer, of course. It's a riddle wrapped in another riddle.  But it does confirm to Damocles that whatever did this isn't one of Tzeentch's followers, and that's enough for the Chaos Sorcerer to get involved.

Damocles doesn't arrive with Karian's forces...obviously.  The Chaos Sorcerer wouldn't be welcomed on either side of this fight.  Reasonably, he has no reason to be here and every reason to stay home, but he has to know what's going on.  He needs an answer and he'll never get it if he isn't here to see it.   So, Damocles teleports in a good ways off, appearing in a flash of violet flame and then instantly going to ground to hide.   He doesn't know what his plan is yet.  Hell, he doesn't even know which side he's going to fight for...but he can count on one thing:  Neither side will be expecting him.
Shigure     Shigure looks to the Wolf Lord and his retinue. She's here alone, rigging fitted to her back. "You have my guns, Chaplain. Lets make this quick." she says softly, a small girl amongst mountains of men, though her countenance is nothing less than her companions.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has been called in by Karian for some assistance with this whole affair and she would look to Karian for a moment as she thinks, she doesn't notice the arrival of Damocles and it's for the best she doesn't today. She looks over to Karian for a moment as she falls in with him she's suited up in combat armour.

"So just what do you need me to do?"

Kotone also looks far more tiny than normal given the towering stature of the space marines that currently surround the young cyborg.
Karian Icefang     Neither side detects the arrival of Damocles, but then again both were occupied. The force of Ivar on finding why their void shield had gone down, and Karian's forces on utlizing this hole in the defences. A nod is given towards Shigure. "There will be friendlies in there, who don't know any better. Try to spare them if you can." He says as they pass through the doors. All around were Space Wolves, who quickly salute their true Wolf Lord. "Jarl. Svanni was found before we could reach here. We think Ivar has him." This illicits a deep growl from Karian. "I see...We have to hurry then. Gather your men and keep up." He orders, taking off like a shot. Bounding around corners and through hallways, the small army would make their way up to the feasting hall...to Ivar himself.

The Traitor Wolf Lord sat in the center of the hall, an arrogant grin upon his face. "Ahh...about time you showed yourself, Karian. Come to admit your treachery?" "Not at all, Ivar. I've come to take back what's mine. Or have you not told them? Told them of how you follow Slaneesh!" Ivar rises up, easily two feet taller then Karian. "I need not tell them, as they already know, and have embraced the prince of excess." Ivar taunts, only then realizing two things. One, that his transmissions had somehow been blocked from the Imperium, and Two...he had just been played. Many of his so called 'followers' were in fact Karians men just waiting for that moment. But there were those still loyal to the traitor. From the corner of the room, Svanni was led out in chains. "Karian...You care for this soldier, no? Because he is of your blood...then watch it pool on the ground!" Ivar shouts as he drives a tainted blade through the marine's torso. That mere action causes Karian to see red and take off like a shot, slamming Ivar through a wall. But all around the ground, marines come running. Some loyal, some traitor, and some unsure of who to follow. All in all, it had become a massive melee.
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa will follow Karian out and notes "Less lethal where I can. Got it." She seems concerned about this, she will follow them out and she will cloak soon as they start moving. Kotone has an idea of what to do here. She is going to try to go after the leader of all of this madness, right? Space Marines expect a stand-up fight, not someone sneaking around or trying to dick with the computer systems of their powered armour after all. S o that's what she's going to do has the heavier hitter are moving in she's going to attempt to follow the fight with Iva and see if she can remotely get into his powered armour to start causing him trouble. Then again the Imperium isn't exactly shit about their It Security when all is said and done. Not when it comes to things like the kit of Space Marines.
Shigure     Shigure follows the Marines, unhitching her rigging tonfa from their anchor points on her back. She swivels them around so the barrels point backwards along her arms, the flat caps facing forward.

She remains quiet as the two Lords speak, one loyal, the other traitor. Blue eyes scan the demeanors of the Space Wolves in the room, marking each that doesn't react against the traitor. <"Samsara, forwarding TAGR telemetry to your HUD. Marked all spotted Traitors for you."> she radios tightbeam to the cyborg. When the melee starts, she jinks to the edge of the hall, ducking low and using her smaller stature to get in behind a couple of traitors ganging up on a loyal Wolf. She jams the barrel of a tonfa into the crease between breastplate and the top of the cuisses. She fires into the gap with an Armour Piercing shell, then uses the recoil to slam the turret cap of her other tonfa into the back of the other Marine's knee, aiming to give the Loyal an opening.
Damocles Things inside have fallen to a surprising amount of chaos fairly quickly.  When Karian's forces advance, Damocles notes the strike squad moving in, and he advances as well.  Damocles relies on three things to get through unnoticed:  Teleporting around larger groups, illusions to hide him from people who get too close, and the fact that Karian just barged in and charged forward, pulling every eye that way.

For Damocles, this is still an intelligence gathering mission, and he treats it as such.  Even going so far as to pull off the obvious robe and Chaos adornments, hide his staff and move in just his Marine armor, which as long as it isn't seen too closely, could allow him to pass as an actual Space Marine.

It isn't until he gets close enough to hear the discussion in the main hall, and he actually hears what is going on, that he knows exactly what he's going to do, however.

When marines start charging in and the grand battle starts, Damocles comes in as well.  Not from the direction of the Marines of course, but from a fairly empty corner of the room, he suddenly appears, resplendent once again in his full Sorcerer garb, Force Staff held proudly as he strides forward, step by step.

As he advances, he makes no aggressive action to either side, instead just walking forward, bold as you please, somehow a smug look on his face despite being just two glowing eyes within a pool of shadow.  That's not to say he does nothing, though.  He does cast a spell.  A broad illusion spell over the room.  The spell is pure audio, and it fills the hall with music.  A strange music, not of this world, or even universe.  Something from the Multiverse, with heavy drums and electric guitar.

And as he walks forward, head bowed slightly, he sings.  His voice is soft and easy, with a slight mocking bite, and thanks to his magic, carries across the whole hall without effort.

/Oh baby don't you know I suffer?  Ooh baby can't you hear me moan?  You caught me under false pretenses...How long before you let me go?/
Karian Icefang     With Karian and Ivar having their brawl through the halls of the Fang, the other marines in the room are confused by the spell and music. But they quickly find themselves beset by other marines and Kotone and Shigure. Many of the loyal marines quickly move to take cover and prove they are good. Those who follow slaneesh begin to mutate and change, shifting to unleash arm blades and some arm whips. "Why....why couldn't you just let us have our way?" The elite ask, all speaking in unison. Their movements are likewise synched up, almost like they were somehow marionettes on a string.
Shigure     Shigure backsomersaults away from a mutating marine, dropping to a crouch and swiveling both turrets around to face forward. She targets down and unloads a full broadside on one of the mutants, armour piercing shells slamming into large genetically augmented chaos warrior. "Doing what you please and endangering innocent lives? I think not." she replies with her usual soft tone.

The music, and the figure of Damoclese beginning to sing draws attention for a brief moment. <"We have an unknown. Marking him on HUD.">
Damocles EARLIER:

Damocles, confused by the broadcast, had decided to consult Tzeentch about what was going on.  Damocles has one simple question for the Lord of Change:  Was this you? The answer he got, as ever, was only really more questions:

"Me?  Praise the Emperor no.  I hate dogs, you know.  Shedding all over everything and slobbering on your face.  I mean, who would /enjoy/ that kind of thing?"

"Slaanesh," Damocles says idly, almost to himself as he strides forward in the halls that have become a battleground.  He knew the answer already, but hadn't known why.  Now he does, and upon hearing it, he knew exactly where he was needed.  He had to get in the middle of things.

Lashes and blades are thrown out towards the Chaos Sorcerer, and he raises his Force Staff, emblazoned with the symbol of Tzeentch on top, to defend himself, creating barriers of force and blasting small shockwaves to knock away attacks.

"Let you have your way?" he answers with a cold, ridiculing laugh.  "You DID.  For far longer than you deserved to.  But you really should have consulted a Chaos Sorcerer, little pups."

Damocles raises his staff, and from the top unleashes a shattering torrent of blue and violet lightning against the Daemon spawn, the blast crashing forward like a wave, rolling across loyalist, traitor and chaos spawn alike, anything that tries to get in his way.

"You made one major mistake.  Embarrassing, really."
Kotone Yamakawa Kotone Yamakawa has picked up some very interesting information she relays and these Slansihe are not like that one cult she ran into a very long time ago. She pushes that bit out of her mind she sees the mutation coming and something grabs her. She let out a cry and the mutating marine would find grabbing Kotone without permission is a /very/ very bad idea. As they will find a high-level of electrical energy surging through her and into newly mutated marine. As Kotone breaks free turns about and opens fire with her assault rifle spraying the mutating marine with lead.

"Hands off I know where this goes and I WANT NONE OF IT!"
Karian Icefang     The loyal wolves watch with a mix of horror and concern as they witness a sorceror of Tzeench make himself known, but at the moment they had more pressing concerns. Such as shooting and chopping down the deamons and traitors coming at them. Even Svanni, the marine injured before, was joining the fight. "We Icefang's aren't that easy to kill!" He roars out, sounding almost like his grandfather in that moment.
"That may be, Sorceror. But look how far we have come compared to the followers of your master." The elites say towards Damocles. Shigure and Kotone both, combined with the efforts of the loyalist marines do a solid number of cutting down the Slaneeshi. "We may fall but it matters little.....our lord will destroy the pitiful Icefang..." They hiss, right before the warp seems to pull the elites from the field. But far above, the sounds of battle could be heard...
Shigure     Shigure winces as mutated blades cut into her body, spilling black oily ichor before her repair crew rush out to slap a patch over the area, keeping her in the fight.

"Sorceror... what are you doing here?" she asks, after the Slaneshii daemons depart the field. "Though I will thank you for intervening it made this fight much less troublesome." She doesn't stick around for long though, hearing the sounds of two Lords going at it above. <"Chaplain, the keep is ours. I am coming to you, try and lead him to me."> she radios to Karian, though she's not sure she can even get through. "Kotone, tend to the wounded or direct triage to those who need it, then join me... The Wolf Lord must not die here."
Damocles Damocles laughs out loud at the instanance of the warp spawn on how far they've come.  His eyes arch in amusement, and for a moment he relaxes the lightning and stops advancing so he can banter.

"How *far* you've come?  Oh yes, very impressive.  You managed to take over a Space Marine bar and then got outwitted by a dog.  By Multiversal standards, you've ascended to the dizzying heights of a Scooby Doo villain.  You must be -so proud-."

Damocles takes a step forward again, raising his staff towards the warp spawn.  "The problem though...Is that you decided to try and burn the Multiverse in pursuit of your little...plan.  And the Lord of Change already has plans for the Multiverse."

Damocles walks forward again, the Eye of Tzeentch suddenly swing forward.  As he swings it, blasts of violet fire launch out, spinning torrents of blazing Chaotic flame launched to engulf the corrupted Marines, and anything else that gets in his way, and burn them into ash and slag.

"The Multiverse is -my- domain.  And you squidfuckers didn't /pay your dues/."
Kotone Yamakawa Then if things couldn't get any more complicated Damocles shows up, she's always been uneasy working with him. Yet the pay off for that job could be big for the Imperium so she's going to risk it. That's for her too tall Karian about /later/. For now, she's going to be still fighting any of the remaining traitor marines laying down fire and then flickering out of view.
Karian Icefang Svanni looks up and shakes his head. "I'll be fine. Go help Grandfather!" He says, confirming at least one thing. Once the group gets to where the battle was, they'd see lots of slam impacts, sword marks in the wall and nearby furnature, and a poor servitor bisected in the aftermath of two astartes going to war on each other. But nearby, a large hole in the wall would lead out to where the final fight was happening.
Lightning flashes in the sky as a sudden storm seemed to have rolled in. Both Karian and Ivar were in ready stances, each having sustained injuries, though Ivar seemed to have to worse of it. "I won't fail, Ivar. The Imperium and the Multiverse won't belong to you, nor will my Great Company." He growls out, launching himself into another onslaught of strikes. Ivar tried hard to block each strike, and nearly does, though he was clearly on the backfoot, until he mutated a blade along his free arm and used it to bat Karian away. "It seems we are no longer alone, Karian...Good. Now I can Kill you all for ruining my finely laid plans!!!"
Shigure     Shigure runs hard along the corridors, leaping up staircases with recoil assisted jumps, and leaning hard into turns. She pours in as much effort arriving at the fight as she does leaping into the fray.

As Karian is knocked aside, Ivar finds a much smaller, but no less hardy fighter laying into him with strikes of reoil-powered turret caps smashing into his power armour, aimed for joins and weakspots in the suit. She doesn't say anything, never one for witty banter in the middle of a fight, but she is humming, a melancholy tune.
Damocles Now that the field is clear of everything Chaos-related except himself, Damocles takes a moment to look around again.  The field is not looking too terribly friendly.  Even those whom he has worked with before aren't exactly offering him a welcome...Probably because they'd be torn apart by the loyalists if they did.

Still, that's part of the fun of being a Chaos Sorcerer.

He turns to the others, Marines and extraversals combined, and gives them a playful wink of one of his glowing eyes.  The bottom of his staff clicks against the floor, and when it does, a burst of violet flame explodes upward, engulfing him completely In a flash, he's gone.

At the same time, another flash upstairs, and he reappears, a respectable distance away from where Karian and Ivar are fighting.  He doesn't move to get involved in the fight, but he does stride forward a little, moving to the edge of the fight.

"Well well, the coyote and the sheepdog, poised to rip each other to shreds.  What's your play, coyote?  Going to try and convince me that your plan can still work, and I should turn to your side for the 'glory of Chaos'?"
Karian Icefang     Karian smirks as his allies jump in to his aid...even a Chaos sorceror of all things. Ivar grits his teeth as he's bombarded by explosions. Each shot managed to chunk through armor, and caused the chaos lord to spit blood. "I'll deal with you....later.." He grumbles. Realizing that he was outclassed at last, he shakes his head. "Damn it all....All my plans. I underestimated the multiverse...Until next time..." Ivar says. But before anyone could likely persue, a booming voice echoes over the vox. "This is the Great Wolf. You will stand down from all combat actions and prepare for investiation." Karian looks to Damocles. "We may be enemies...but thank you for your help. You best leave now...before the Great Wolf arrives."
Damocles Damocles doesn't attack the Chaos Lord or the Loyalists, but merely watches, leaning on his staff as the cultist marine is torn down, and torn apart.  He doesn't even comment until the renegade comments about his plan and the multiverse, at which point he gives a soft, almost pitying laugh.

"Underestimated?  You never bothered to learn the first thing about them.  Leave the planning to me and mine.  Debasement is all your kind is good for."

That passed, his eyes lock on the Space Wolf for a moment.  Nobody else might understand what this gesture from Karian means, but Damocles does.  Even allowing him to withdraw could get labeled as tainted by Chaos.  It's a gesture of surprising graciousness from a Marine, and one Damocles doesn't intend to punish.

"Things here are changing.  My...friendly advice, is that if you don't decide how, my patron will.  Until next time, sheepdog."

Damocles lightly taps the ground with the bottom of his staff, and once more, is engulfed in a flash of violet fire.  An instant later, and he is nowhere to be found.
Shigure     "Disarm and stand down." states Shigure leveling her cannon on Ivar as the Great Wolf announces their arrival. "Move and you will be missing limbs before the inquisitors arrive, not after." Shigure then radios to the Great Wolf. "This is Chevalier Shigure of the Paladins. I have the traitor Ivar in custody. Karian Icefang was instrumental in bringing the traitor marines to justice."
Karian Icefang     "We will keep this in mind." The voice replies, as marines in far more advanced armor start landing and securing the area. It was indeed a new day for the Imperium, complete with the arrival of the next generation of Astartes.....the Primaris Marines.
