Owner Pose
Odin While Shirou recovers his dreams have, been for better or worse, been slightly kidnapped by a force from Hydaelyn. The same hand that whispered to him and the same one who also helped him recover quicker.

The area around Shirou is dark, dark fog moving through the area. The ground seem to be lacking in the dark void, yet his feet are standing on /something/, which only ripples like water when he takes a step.

It wouldn't be long till from the fog does another figure make himself known to Shirou. A figure with a white robe and some metallic attachments on it. The hood is hover his head and a red mask hides his features. At first the words are hard to make out, but when the figure raises up his hand, with the index and middle finger having steel claws on them, he snaps his fingers and the area shakes before suddenly it becomes like a hall of stone and candle light.

"Forgive my intrusion.." He says with a calm voice, "..but I could not help but notice your battles with the Elder Primal and your passion in the heat of battle." He places then out his hands, "Is this place to your liking, young sir?"
Emiya Shirou     Shirou very rarely dreams. When he does, it's often of swords. Just, endless images of swords. Sometimes, he returns to the fire that consumed his childhood. But he rarely dreams of anything else - at least, nothing he can remember.

This is a bit different, isn't it?

He finds himself trudging through a foggy void, stepping on a rippling emptiness and going nowhere through an endless haze. Even in this dream, he's not quite 'awake' for most of that wandering.

Indeed, he only really comes to his senses when someone else approaches. The boy goes wide-eyed and takes a few steps back, staring at the one addressingg him.

The boy blinks a few times. "...where... am I..." Mumble, murmur, boggle.

Oh, right, this guy's talking to him.

"...Er...yeah. Where am I? ...Did I go sleepwalking?" He blurts dumbly. Only a few moments later does he really get his bearings.

"... Wait, waitwait, this isn't where I fell asleep...?!" Unfortunately, he's a bit dense sometimes. But this is a wacky experience.

He just ends up staring at the masked individual, hoping for answers while the rest of the fog clears from his head.
Odin "No need of alarm, I assure you, young sir. My name is Elidibus. My brothers and sisters, along with myself, have taken notice of your courage, bravery, and the great possibilities that lie within." Elidibus explains as he then moves his hand as a table then starts to form. Cherry wood with beautiful gold engravings in it, then two chairs, also made of the same wood and same engravings.

"Please have a seat, young sir and do tell me-- what is your name?"
Emiya Shirou     No need for alarm, he says, huh? But Shirou's nevertheless a little suspicious. Wariness tinges his voice for the moment - but who wouldn't expect that, given the circumstances? "Emiya Shirou..." He replies somewhat airily, still distracted by how weird this is. eyes wandering, and he's on alert.

But he sees the bizarre act of conjuration... and sensing no hostility, does take a seat. "Er, Emiya Shirou. Ellidibus.... no family name?" Yup. A perfectly mundane question from a fairly ordinary young man who just fell asleep and is being dreamvisioned out of nowhere.

    "... ??? ... Wait a moment, the voice, I remember now!"
Odin "Yes, I spoke to you after you used Odin's own weapon to best him, but the weapon also seems to be a bit beyond your skill." Elidibus says as he waves his hand over the table. There Odin's sword forms, seeming as ever real as the one the elder primal holds and the one Shirou has copied.

"Though with proper training a weapon that is known from times long past, would also be a grand weapon to have to aid a world with chaos and fear run so strong." The white robed man places his hands on the table as the sword floats there weightless. "We want to help you learn how to use such a tool to aid in the destruction of some of the Primals, perhaps even to one day freeing the fear of the world of Odin.. after all-- if the Primals were all to escape from the world that Eorzea resides.. the Multiverse could possibly be overtaken by tempered souls and mindless servants to those aetheric creatures."

"None wish this."

Elidibus then tilts his head ever to the side, "As for a surname, no.. my people.. we do not have such things, for we are all of one order and we are out to restore proper balance to things within Eorzea and the world she resides within, so that the true savior of the world may come and make things right once more."
Emiya Shirou     "Wuh--oo...oah..." Shirou boggles, wide-eyed. The magus has never seen anyone else producing that sword, so... oh, it's probably just an image, right?

He'll be able to tell that in a heartbeat.

"...s-savior?" Shirou? Shirou's no savior. he makes a weird face after getting this all in. "...Okay... this is a dream... I get it." Finally he seems to be 'waking up.' The boy grunts quietly, thinking how to respond - because that was quite the thing for anyone to say. Let alone to him.

"Alright...Elidibus, then. Yeah, Odin and Ifrit and the other Primals running loose and rampaging anywhere is one of the worst things that can happen. Eorzea or elsewhere. Stopping Odin twice almost got everyone killed both times." Him more than others, but it's others he's worried about most.

Still, he makes a questioning face at the man in the mask. This is pretty fishy in its own way.

"I'm just trying to keep them from killing anyone." He states simple. "..... Is there no way to convince the primals to get along with people? Or any that are friendlier? I don't understand them too well... so it's no wonder I can't manage Odin's weapon."
Odin Elidibus sweeps his hand over the blade as Shirou talks, the weapon whisking away. "The Primals are beings of aetheric energy, brought about by those whom worship. There is only two ways to handle a primal that is known..."

The mage in the white robe looks at him, curiously for a moment, before he continues, "Either the way of the Garlean Empire which is nearly wiping out all and any whom dare speak a Primal's name as if they were a god..," He raises up one hand showing an image of a place once full of life, now nothing but ruins. "Or the Eorzean way.. through diplomacy-- but that only lasts so long..." His other hand showing the Sylphs. "Even these Sylphs who have a good standing with Gridania are starting to ponder upon if they should call upon their lord Ramuh, the Primal of Thunder.. to save them from the chaos in the world.."

His hands then close shut on the images easily. "Yet we know of better ways, but they take the right type of individual to carry them out, Shirou." Elidibus explains as his hands clasp together. "Those who are willing to protect those they love, seek to become greater then they are, and willing to stare death in the eyes if it means a better future for all."

Elidibus then sits back as his hands go to rest once more on the table. "We have long waited for this problem to be resolved, for the right ones to be found to find a true resolution to the problem. Those who can carry it out and that us brings us back to the heart of this conversation."

Elidibus then places out his hand as a ghostly image of Odin's sword appears. "We can teach you, Shirou.. we can show you how to handle the power of this weapon.. and in understanding it-- it may lead you to not only understanding all other weapons.. because in the end.. as you say.. this is the blade that can cleave reason itself..."

The ghostly image then fades, "But you need not answer now, you may think on it-- but think on it soon.. for time does not stop.."
Emiya Shirou     "....nh?!" Shirou blinks, after that half-stammery noise. "But--" He clamps his mouth shut. this whole matter is VEXING to say the least. Not many good options?

"... So, basically, you want to destroy the Primals themselves somehow? Not keep fending them off like we've been doing?" He sounds suspicious towards the idea. Kill a god? How does that work? IS it even SAFE?

"If Ifrit's some kind of God of Fire, or is it the other way around and he exists because of fire's power...? These Primals are like... gods, or something, right?"

It's a good thing to worry about.

"I'm willing to listen. Trying to figure out this ability and put it to good use isn't proving easy...."
Odin Elidibus then goes to stand up, before the candles take on a blue light as he waves his hand toward the table, an image of Ifrit appears there. "The Primals, Eikons, are creatures of great power because of the aetheric source of power. Without worship they can not be summoned.. without aether.. they can not manifest."

The image of Ifrit then shifts to that of Odin. "The Elder Primals need not worship or require the aetheric energy to stay formed in the physical real, but like all Primals..." The image fades into a pattern of blue light, "They all exist within the aetheric plane..."

"Odin's sword has the ability to carve the very fabric of this aetheric hold.. in that, in the hands of the proper user-- cleave the very aetheric pattern," The line then severs and then becomes orange-red, before the image itself fully vanishes. "..and you displace the Primal into nothing."

Elidibus then looks over to Shirou. "There is other /ways/ to handle the Primals, with others types of tools-- but such should be only seeked if other options can not be used." The hooded man tilts his head slightly, "You understand this, yes?" The candles then flicker back to their normal color once more.

"After all-- none other has the ability you do. To hold in your hand the power of an Elder Primal. To hold the very weapon that legends only speak of. The skills we can teach you, show you, may not be learned in a day-- but in the long road.. it will lead you to enlightenment and understanding beyond others."
Emiya Shirou     Shirou shudders upon grasping just how this plan will work. "...Completely banish them from all existence... that's a pretty nasty end for anyone. I hope it doesn't come to that. If Odin could be convinced to do something else..." SHirou's shoulders sag. He did say that with considerable determination and emotion - he genuinely doesn't wish a fate like that on anyone.

"...But if his nature's war like I heard, that might be asking too much." He adds more quietly a moment later. "That's what you'll probably say..."
Now the boy starts blinking. Wait, why is he here again? It realyl MUST be some kind of dream-vision... so weird.

"There might be a flaw in that plan. If Odin's sword could banish a primal by cutting them off, couldn't the original owner himself use it like that to undo it? Or am I misunderstanding?" he hates to be a downer, but it's a concern he has to point out.

"And I can't guarantee I'll be able to manage what you're hoping. As you saw, this ability is... really unique and weird. if there's a way to stop him the next time he starts rampaging though..." He will try. He'll admit that he doesn't know if he can do it, no matter what training's available, but he IS willing to try.
Odin Such small vision, this one has...
So focused on one thing and one thing alone.

Elidibus' own thoughts to himself as he studies Shirou closely, but he smiles ever so gently. "Once the aetheric flow is cut, it can not re-link itself with such simple ease. That was the flaw the Allagans did not realize when they attempted to seal him away."

"Odin however though--- will be harder to cut, due to his.. unique nature.. No.. for now we must focus on the normal Primals, such as Ifrit, Titan, Garuda.." Elidibus crosses his arms over his chest. "But even that will come in time."

"First education must come in understanding /what/ you wield, then understanding the skill of it.. to eventually understanding its power. For it is the lack of knowledge that is hindering you so.. lack of knowledge and lack of power."

Elidibus then lowers his arms, "Neither which can just be simple given, but must be gained in training and research." The white robed figure with his red mask the walks over to Shirou before he extends his hand slightly, "Shall we be the ones to train you.. or do you wish to think on this more..?"
Emiya Shirou     "Oh.... that's definitely true." Yup. He totally has no clue about the details of his ability. The boy nods solemnly and rather seriously.

"Yeah... if understanding came just like that, nothing would be worth it. Hard work should always be rewarded with something. So I keep practicing, even if it's slow and dangerous going." Indeed, for years he's danced with death just trying to practice amateur magic. A slight mistake might've made him a cripple.

Shirou adjusts his posture in the seat though, a bit uncomfortable. "However I already have a teacher... sort of. Iianor, for the Union. I'm fine learning from two if you are. Although..."

Now he turns a somewhat questioning gaze at Elidibus. "I'd kind of like to know more about who you are. Definitely a really powerful magus of some sort, but where do you stand in it all? Where are you from?" He's clearly not getting the whole point of the mask.

    Or doesn't care about it.
Odin The mage gives a nod of his head, "Yes, sometimes two teachers can be indeed more enlightening then one." Elidibus seems to agree, he then tilts his head faintly as he removes his hand, then walks around the table once more. "But whom am I?"

He then sits back into his chair. "Truth be, I am one of the heads of a brotherhood who only desires to see our world restored to proper order. To be cleansed of its lies, filth, and chaos. To be returned back to its proper ways of balance. You see.." He leans forward about then, "...we are the ones who know the truth of Hydaelyn and all that she is. The people, as people do, go about their lives unaware of the hidden struggle behind the shadows. My brotherhood and I can see this struggle, watching as these-- parasites-- eat away at the very world and soon..."

He then extends out his hand, "..soon all of our world will be gone. Disorder will reign free and all things will be consumed." Elidibus then lowers his hand. "We want what is best for all, Shirou, just as you do, yes? To see the suffering end, to see those who do harm to that you love-- stopped."

Elidibus taps his hands together, "We can be of greatest of allies, Shirou. Allies and teachers. Show you the true faces of what ales our world and what could come to pass for the Multiverse if left uncheck.." He tilts his head, "..does this-- answer your question, young sir?"
Emiya Shirou     Shirou folds his arms while remaining seated. The boy's expression has turned serious indeed, and thoughtful. "uweh... using words like filth and proper ways is a pretty scary way of putting it." The boy comments, though he doesn't sound exactly DISAPPROVING. Just speaking honestly.

"The people are under a lot of pressure right now with the environment screwed up and a war going on. Add the rampaging Primals to the list and it's just way too much for anyone to handle. ... I don't understand the whole conflict, and it isn't even my home world, but I don't want to see anyone die if it can be helped."

There's hints of sadness in his eyes as he says this. But only for a tiny glimmer, then he shuts that memory out. He once saw many, many people screaming for help around him. He ignored them. They died. He lived.

If he can't make something of his life, then what meaning does his life have? What can all those people dying around him amount t?

He wants to save the people who otherwise would not be, and so he's stood up to Odin!
Odin The white clothed mage listens to what Shirou has to say, he seems very patient on the matter, not even the slightest upset or worried, just calm-- collected. "They are indeed." He seems to agree, "Which is why, though you may think on this-- do not think on it long.. for the sooner we can get started.. the sooner your training can begin in order to handle the problems that are laid out."

Elidibus waves out his hand, "If you desire to start now, only need to simply agree.. if not--- I will send you back so that you may think on it and simply call out my name when you are ready to agree-- or fully decline.."

Elidibus Then leans forward once more, "But understand, Shirou, I can only offer this once-- because the agents of who work for the corruption of the world, will soon figure out my plans and halt any further progress down this road.."
Emiya Shirou     "........."

Shirou's brow furrows. This is serious. This person doesn't seem ENTIRELY trustworthy - after all, they're wearing a mask - but he's talking good sense. But if he waits, he might not be ready in time when it's needed...

Elidibus can probably see the gears in his head turning and grinding.

"... I don't really like how you're being vague. What agents are these?"

Seriously, he doesn't sound nearly as suspicious of Elidibus as most people would be. The boy is far too naive in that regard. But at least, in his own way, he's recognizing something weird exists about this.

"....Alright. I'm not sure if this idea of yours will work, but if itt leads to a way to stop the Primals from causing trouble and can help stop the war going on, I'll give it a shot. When do we begin?"

He will try and learn. To do otherwise would be betraying his principles.
Odin Elidibus smiles softly, "We shall begin once you awaken and it is tomorrow morn.. as I need you to get me some materials. These materials are to help cast a blade in Odin's own sword likeness-- a tool to be used to learn. Maybe not as effective, but small steps first."

The White mage then goes to stand, "And these agents are minions of the corruption and her lies. They do not see the truth, blinded by her brilliance and her slow coil over their very souls. It is hard to explain to one who is not of this world, but in time-- you will come to see."

Elidibus then waves his hand and the world starts to vanish away, "We shall speak once you find the items.. and do not worry.. the list will find you.."

Then everything fades away...
Emiya Shirou     "... cast a blade in...?" Shirou mumbles into the darkness with everything fading. Hooo boy. This is going to be... interesting.

"... and I never saw the guy's face..."

Worrisome. But if he can save people, he doesn't care. He'll do what's right and avoid what's wrong, as always.
