Lily     The Shellevator heads down the shaft, nice and calming music is playing, typical elevator music. The screen pops up with the next bit of information: "CHAMBER 3: BLACK POWDER MINE"

Below the screen, there is another, smaller screen. 'Secrets: 1' what that means, could be anyone's guess as the Shellevator slams down into the new chamber, surprisingly not disrupting anyone standing in it. When the doors open, the Gungeoneers are presented with exactly what the screen said, a mine. A large chamber with oil lamps on the wall, a small pool of yellow liquid with streams going towards the walls, and one singular door.

It all seems at least somewhat quiet, some rats scurrying about here and there....
Yang Xiao Long     Yang pokes at the popped and deflated form of her balloon rifle... then stuffs it in one of her belt pouches before stepping out of the Shellavator. "No use cryin' over popped balloons. Wonder what's so not a secret that they'd tell us there's a secret here though." She muses out loud, deploying Ember Celica with a knowing glance in the general direction of 'up'.. just waiting for the Gungeon to try and Curse her again.
Nanoha Takamachi     Nanoha steps off the shellevator after it crashes down into the next chamber once more. She peers around at the seemingly empty mine, suspecting it won't stay that way for much longer. Otherwise they wouldn't be here. She humms thoughtfully, "I wonder just how far down this place actually goes..." Hanging, in gem form, from the necklace around Nanoha's neck, Raising Heart glows softly for a moment, but says nothing.

Nanoha turns to look at the others, asking, "Shall we?" She then proceeds to start walking further into the chamber, shooing a rat out of the way with her foot.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite just squints for a moment when the second screen lights up. Her tail flicks a few times as she ruminates on it. "Well, Ah've spent more than my fair share of time in mines. Ah reckon that means some manner of hidden room or passage. But there's only one way we'll be able to find out fer sure, pardners." As the Shellevator stops and opens she steps out, while reloading the Peashooter as she does.

It's just practical gunkata strategy -- Use the weaker weapons first to conserve your heavy duty stuff for the real threats.
Kukuru It's time for another dive into the depths of the dungeon! The sleepy-looking Kukuru is here once again, appearing on the top of the Shellevator shortly after it stops its stomach-churning descent. Opening an eye around the same time everyone else comes out, she scratches her back with the strange plank of wood she had gotten last time before rolling off the top and landing on the floor.

Not properly or anything. No, she just lands right on her face and lays there for a moment before springing onto her feet, hanging back to stretch her arms out overhead while yawning lazily. "Maybe there's a secret... Stairway to go through. Or maybe a cache of stuff whoever built this place wants us to find."

Right. The Peashooter. Sticking the plank into whatever all-encompassing pocket that her claws and other stuff is already hidden away in, Kukuru finally starts following the group with Peashooter in hand, squeezing out a few to munch on along the way.
Tomoe Once more Tomoe using the old appearance of Eisen has shown up and is going to be collecting her local gear. She has to wonder how deep this place goes and how it might pan out. As wacky as things are? Given how long her world's been changing and how other events have gone? She's a bit on edge but the good news is she's not alone and the backup is pretty damn good.

"So here we go again."
Lily     Surprisingly, the Gungeon doesn't seem to do anything to Yang or Kukuru this time.

The rat pops from the simple sweep of the foot, but other than that, there's still a few more rats here. Once the Gungoneers move into the next chamber... it looks surprisingly empty. More rats here and there, seemingly concentrated on a single point of the mine cave. Some tracks are set up along with a minecart, but otherwise, this chamber seems ... kinda safe here.

There's a couple doors here and a suspicious wall with a big red X on it, possibly leading to something else or leading from somewhere else. One door seems to have a shopkeeper's face on it too!
Yang Xiao Long     "Kinda weird seeing normal lookin' rats in here." Yang comments, watching Nanoha pop one with a simple touch. "... lookin', definitely not normal though." she muses, moving into the next chamber then quirking a brow at the big red X. She looks at the otherse, then steps toward the suspicious looking section of wall. "I'mma gon' punch it." she announces, then proceeds to do exactly that, ratcheting back to deliver a big haymaker with a kinetic blast boost from the shotgun in her gauntlet.
Corona Arclite "Don't get lax just cuz there ain't no big confrontation yet." An easy venture just makes Corona more paranoid rather than less so, because it usually means something bigger is lurking farther ahead. She turns her head to watch Yang approach the marked wall. "Careful, that might be the secret the elevator was talkin' bout. Got no idea what's behind it."
Tomoe Tomoe does not see anything happening to Yang or Kukuru this time and she makes note of it she does spot the rats but ntohing much happen iwth those. She will take a moment at the next room as she goes further in. "This is strange I don't like the looks of those rats...it feels like we're wandering into something big."
Nanoha Takamachi     Nanoha blinks as the rat pops. That's not what she was trying to do! Oh well...

Nanoha stares at each of the options available to them... Pausing on the X first, she tilts her head at it. That seems like it could be a trap. But surely none of them are reckless enough to-Yang proceeds to punch it.

"Ah..." But Nanoha doesn't say anything more. She simply sighs quietly, hoping they don't suddenly get flooded by a... Well... Flood of rats. Or something worse.
Kukuru Rats, more rats, a couple of doors, and a big red X on a wall. With Yang heading for the weird X, Kukuru turns her attention to the doors instead. Scratching her chin lightly, she peers through each one briefly before settling on the door furthest from the one with the shopkeeper's face on it.

"I guess we'll know where to take a break later. For now, though... Hm. I'm gonna start clearing out this path, then. The sooner we find the way down, the sooner..." Leaving the obvious part unsaid, Kukuru actually stops popping peas into her mouth to head down that-a-way!
Lily     The wall with the big red X makes a lout /THUNK/ once when Yang's fist hits it. The kinetic blast pops a few rats around the way but the wall /does not budge./ There's no cracks on it, no damage to the red X, not even a scuff on the stonework on the wall! Though the blast does make some wind and something seems to have shown on the floor for a brief moment that may catch Yang's eye before settling with dirt again. Somewhere near where all the rats are congregating.

Corona and Tomoe's own worry just makes the rats squeak louder... as a small swarm encircles Nanoha, looking up at her with a stare.

Kukuru's exploration sends her to a room... and the door locks behind her. All sorts of Gundead pop into existance, your standard bullet kin, a walking grenade and a cute little purple bullet that looks like it's rubber. That one has an extremely happy look on its face as it charges up... and LAUNCHES itself towards Kukuru.

One more thing seems to be in existance... a shimmering cat-like thing with a whip of bullets... and it whips those bullets towards Kukuru!
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite watchs as Yang... doesn't even budge the wall. "It's a dungeon, there's pro'ly some unlockin' mechanism, might not even be in this room..." She turns her attention back to the rates swarming around Nanoha. "Ah don't like the way those varmits are gatherin'." She brings up the Peashooter, but is wary of firing with them all clustering near Nanoha like that. Even though it probably not do much to her, she'd rather not risk it when they don't know what's up ahead. "Y'all might wanna get 'way from 'em, lass...."
Nanoha Takamachi     A door slams shut, Nanoha spinning around to look. What happened? Nanoha glances around... One of them is missing! Nanoha looks back to the closed room, hearing the sounds of combat starting up, "Kukuru!"

But just as she's about to take a step in that direction, she looks down to find herself surrounded by rats.

Nanoha stares back at them for several moments.

Hearing Corona, Nanoha mmms, "I don't think it's that bad, given that the last one popped with barely a touch. Still, it does make walking kind of difficult..." Still, Nanoha has ways around that. She raises her foot.

A small pink spell circle appears floating in the air just above the rats. Nanoha brings her foot down onto the magic platform, before stepping up onto it completely. Hopefully avoiding stepping on any rats in the process. She then creates another magical platform a short distance away, moving to step onto that one too. Hopefully the rats won't try anything unsual to get in her way.
Yang Xiao Long     Yang frowns at the wall, though the glimmer of something nearby does catch her attention. She kneels down, brushing away the rats and the dust. "Huh... Hey guys, I found something." she calls out. She reaches to pull the trapdoor open, and takes a peek inside.
Kukuru "... Huh. That could be an issue." Kukuru comments dryly as she glances back at the door after it shuts behind her, scratching her cheek lightly with the Peashooter while weighing her options with the Gundead appearing in the same room. There's plenty of targets in the room already, and she does have that plank on hand to speed things along.

With the number of enemies appearing in the room already, of course, being stingy with her ammo won't do. Or... Plank. Does that thing even use ammo? Only one way to find out! As that happy purple bullet fires itself at her, Kukuru grips the plank not unlike a baseball bat, even wiggling in place in preparation to swing. Her timing isn't perfect and her form is actually pretty bad, but she does pack a mean swing as she smashes it right into the purple bulletface!

Alas, that does leave her open to the cat-thing with the bulelt whips, and she staggers back briefly as those bullets tear into her with some pained noises coming from the green-haired whatever she is. "Kh... I'm okay, don't worry. There's a lotta stuff in here, but I've got a thing for this if it gets real bad!"

Whatever it is remains unclear for now, though, as she relies on just darting about, swinging her 2x4 while her natural healing fills in the gaps for her even while she's getting shot all around!
Tomoe Well now there's a wall with a big red X does catch Tomoe's attention as Yang hits it. She expected it budge but it did not. She watches as the rats surround Nanoha and she stare for a moment they don't seem to be hostile but there's something else coming.

"Look out"
FD She will turn her attention to the thing with the whip.

She'll open fire with her gun at it and get on the move herself.
Tomoe Well now there's a wall with a big red X does catch Tomoe's attention as Yang hits it. She expected it budge but it did not. She watches as the rats surround Nanoha and she stare for a moment they don't seem to be hostile but there's something else going on here. She'll kook over to Corona athan to Nanoha for a moment as she thinks over the rats.

"I don't like it either it's like it's a set up for something else."

She'll try to keep away from teh rats herself. If she has to Tomoe will start wall climbing to keep clear.
Lily     KUKURU:
It's definitely an issue! That purple bulletkin, a Rubber Kin, bounces off that makeshift bat, hits the wall and 'pops' while the Misfire Beast continues to pelt Kukuru with more and more bullets, dashing here and there. Though there's a small shimmer, a displacement of light somewhere else but... that couldn't be anything, could it? Regular bullet kin start firing and marching towards the green-haired whatever she is. She's alone and it's a great time to try to take her out!

    EVERYONE ELSE:
Nanoha floats up, fortunately it doesn't seem to disturb the rats. Yang pulls the trapdoor open and there's a ladder going down to some place... it's dimly lit too, but there definitely seems to be a floor to drop down on to. The door that leads to where Kukuru is is still shut, a frown face upon it. If someone went up to it, it'd shake its face in a 'no' motion, not letting anyone through.
Nanoha Takamachi     Success! Nanoha manages to move once again without popping any more rats. The poor things.

Using the magical platforms as stepping stones over the rat mass, Nanoha does indeed head in the direction of the door that Kukuru is trapped behind. Only to come face to face with a shaking face. Nanoha's face frowns in response. She could try blowing it open... Though given Yang's attempt, it would probably take a lot of firepower. Nanoha considers it still...

Oh! Yang has discovered something? Nanoha turns in curiosity, "Maybe it's a different way to get to Kukuru?" She magical platform walks over to look down into the oen hatch and the floor below. It's none too clear where it goes...

"Well, guess we'll have to see!" Nanoha jumps down into it!
Yang Xiao Long     Yang glances at the closed door. No point trying that way, so she just mantles into the hole and drops down without touching the ladder, She lands with a thunk and brings her fists up defensively, waiting to see if anything attacks from the darkness.

No casting magic missile on the darkness today.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite glances over at the angry looking door for a moment. "Sittin' here just waitin' for the door to open 'gain ain't gonna get us nowhere," the vixen remarks, before jumping down the passage as well. "Com'n Tomoe, we're findin' another way 'round!"
Tomoe The question of the day is how to get to Kukuru to help her. She can't be left on her own not in a place like this. Heck she'd not want to be left on her on in a place like this. She would fall in with Corona and start looking around maybe there's something they missed, like Cardinal help them all. A switch puzzel or something like that.

"I wonder what if we kite the rats to the door."
Kukuru Although the small fry are easy to deal with, there's still more distinct fodder targets around than Kukuru's equipped to fight with just that weird plank thing on hand. "Would be so much easier if I could just cut them up..." She mutters to herself as she brings up her claw to tank some of those oncoming bullets, finding less room to maneuver freely while she's being backed into a corner. Sure, she could just teleport behind them to get some extra breathing room, but...

Right. She can do that. Kukuru keeps backing herself into a corner, thrusting the 2x4 forwards at stupidly long ranges to whittle down the numbers of every goddamn thing in the room. Once she actually makes contact with a wall, she waits for another volley of shots before disappearing in a cloud of dark energy only to reappear moments later behind the cat whip creature.

And then she starts going ham with the 2x4 once more. Once they notice her presence, meanwhile, she'll start backing up towards the other corner steadily while stepping around shots she can evade and letting her claws and/or healing handle those she can't (which is a lot of them, and she's got the clothing damage to prove it), entirely content to repeat the procedure as many times as it takes to clear the room out!
Lily     KUKURU:
More shots, more shots, okay stop sh... no, more shots. Can't stop. Okay, reload. Bullets continue to fly and Kukuru does her own little dodge mechanic, and it literally confuses the Bullet Kin and Misfire Beast. The PLANK attacks seem to pop some more of the smaller bullet kin but this Misfire Beast seems to be tanking more and more of those attacks as it goes back to dashing backwards, and firing off more bullets towards Kukuru. The room does seem to be a little less dense with bullets though!

Everyone /but/ Tomoe: Down the shaft into a new little area... there just seems to be one simple track and a minecart, big enough to fit the entire party of Gungeoneers. The track goes on and on and on... and hits a dead end. There /is/ something around here though as everyone in the minecart could feel a small rush of wind from the wall...

    Tomoe:
The door shakes its face no, then stares at the trap door.
Yang Xiao Long     Minecart riiiide! Yang, once ensured there's no hidden nasties around, leaps into the minecart, and might wait for the others before triggering it off.

By the time the dead end is reached, she's cackling like a mad woman. "THAT. WAS. AWESOME!" She does see the dead end, feels the breeze and leaps out of the cart. "IMMA PUNCH ANOTHER WALL!" she crows, leaping at the wall in question and going for a flying haymaker.
Lily     The punch by Yang makes a crack... and another crack... and the wall /explodes/... and shows off a path... with another rock wall in the distance. Strangely, the entire path is lit with torches.... and rats.
Corona Arclite "Tomoe! Starin' at that door ain't gonna accomplish nuttin'," Corona shouts back up from the trapdoor. "Get down here, we'll find 'nother way!"

She strolls over to the minecart. "Now this feels a li'l more like home." The fox hops in for a ride once everyone is aboard.

And at the end of the rollercoaster cart ride Yang is punching walls again. This time more effectively. "Reckon we found the secret, yup. Let's see where it goes."
Tomoe Tomoe sighs as she looks at the trap door, it seems she's going to go after the others. With a last look to the door, she shrugs and then she leaps down the trap door to follow after the others and hopefully catch up in short order. "WHEE!!"
Nanoha Takamachi     Nanoha is a bit more sedate than a couple of the others after their minecart ride. Though she is smiling in amusement at their amusement.

And then Yang is punching walls again. Though in her defense, this one looks less like a trap and more like a secret. Although the path ahead continues to be vague... And filled with rats... Nanoha continues forward.

As she makes her way further into the tunnel, Nanoha admits, "This is seeming less and less likely to lead towards Kukuru." But it's not like she has any particularly better ideas at this point. Except maybe trying to create their own tunnels. But Nanoha is cautious of caveins.
Kukuru Now Kukuru's got a system down. The Misfire Beast is taking longer to put down than she'd like, but eliminating the Bullet Kin does give her considerably more room to maneuver and time to regenerate missing chunks of flesh with less of it hit hitting her overall. "You're really tough, aren't you? And your friends are pretty good shots, too, so..."

"You should be shooting each other instead of me. I'm a friend." She projects that suggestion into the mind of the Misfire Beasts and Bullet Kin alike, speaking it aloud as she warps herself to the other side of the room. She doesn't fire back at them this time around, insetad taking that opportunity to focus on healing herself back up and mending the wounds she's already sustained.

Also, to give herself a little break in this fight. She can always use the Peashooter to finish them off later.
Lily     KUKURU:
'You should be shooting each other instead of me.', the words echo into the Gundead ... and the bullets stop. The noise dies down and things... seem to be okay. With that... the Misfire Beast disappears... and another one shows up, without the bullet whips while the rest of the Bullet Kin start to trot twards Kukuru's location. /All/ of them seem to have heart effects show up, floating from their heads... or what could be consider a head. And with that, the doors open again.

    YANG AND CREW:
The walls open up with Yang's punching... and finally a huge room opens up, lined with torches and a huge grate with a mouse-face on it and a keyhole. There also seems to be the SAVE BUTTON there too! The mice seem to disperse finally, lining the back wall, all facing towards the grate as if waiting, expecting. The grate has a faint smell of cheese on it too, strangely.
Corona Arclite "Looks like the varmints are waiting for something... Hey, didn't we get a key after the last boss? Y'all think...? Corona glances at the rodents all lined up like an audience. Then at the SAVE BUTTON. Probably want to push that, just in case. "Ah dunno about you, but somethin' smells cheesy about all this...." Or that might just be the aroma coming from the grate.
Kukuru That worked better than expected! Giggling softly to herself, Kukuru actually welcomes the Bullet Kin to her side, even patting their 'heads' gently not unlike someone would reassure a stray, yet friendly dog. "Much better... Isn't that better than all of that? Now, let's see..."

Now she actually has to figure out where to go next. None of the doors seem particularly familiar to her, and teleporting back to the starting room would just mean more effort spent retracing everyone else's steps. That leaves her with picking a random path!

But first, snacks. Also, updates. <<"Oh. Um. Room's clear, everyone. How's it going on your ends?">> She asks of her companions on this excursion as the Peashooter comes back out. She fires it into her hand to get some more questionable, then munches on some while offering others to the Bullet Kin if they seem willing to partake. Otherwise, she takes note of her surroundings to remember vaguely what the room looks like, then just picks a random* door and heads right on in!

*She's prioritizing doors in order of east, west, north, then south.
Tomoe Tomoe has caught up with the group thankfully and sees as Yang gets the walls to open up. She's caught up thankful for it. Now that be a save button? A save button? That could be a trap or it could be something really useful. Tomoe is going to head for the save button and humm.

"Might as well see what this does."

She notes she can be seen glowing from popping a few tanking abilities, just to be on the safe side.
Nanoha Takamachi     Some more wall busting courtesy of Yang leads the group into a new chamber. With a save button... And a giant grate with a mouse face on it... And all the mice have lined up and are staring, as if waiting for something.

    This isn't suspicious at all.

But at least Kukuru seems to be safe. Nanoha radios back, <"Ah, we might be getting into something here shortly. You might want to join up with us? Just in case. It's the open hatch in the first room.">

Nanoha watches as Tomoe moves over to press the save button. Hopefully it works as advertised. Though Nanoha wouldn't be surprised if it has additional effects.
Lily     The Save button hurks at being pressed, "Well, I guess we'll wait here for you. I'm sure you're going to love the next part." it responds back to people. The edge of the grates start to get encased in ice and soon, gets frozen over, ready for the return of the Gungeoneers.
