Lily     The Hollow.

When the Shellevator lands with a loud /THUNK/, the doors open up into an icy ossuary. Ice paths dot the landscape in the chamber and there's a feeling of 'undeath' around along with the chill of the caverns, while this initial, spacious area seems safe to chill out for a bit, to gather your bearings. There's a couple doors around to the north and east, both becokining for ones to enter them... Fortunately, there aren't any rats here.
Corona Arclite They have yet to be attacked in the first room, but that doesn't keep Corona from taking a wary glance out of the Shellevator just to be sure. Then she finally steps out, and snorts softly. A few vapors visibly roll from her nostrils. "For once a cold reception is a kinda welcome one." Not a favorite climate for the desert dweller but she's hardly at any risk from the environment. There will be enough risk from whatever inhabits this level, likely.
Kukuru Wasn't this place... Looked different before? Kukuru's pretty sure things looked way different the last time she was here, but she doesn't look particularly concerned as she steps out of the Shellevator. When she feels the first hit of the cold on her, her hands immediately go into her pockets to retrieve...

Like, five of those little gel hand warmer things with the metal tab that snaps and solidifies the whole thing into a hot little brick. She slips one between the back of her neck and her shirt, then passes the rest out to anyone who wants one. "Less sweaty than the last place... That's good." She yawns softly before heading towards the eastern door, not even sparing the northern door a second glance while she heads in...

Unarmed? She's not holding anything besides the remaining heat packs, but she doesn't look worried about that detail in the slightest.
Tomoe Down the go deeper and deeper. Tomoe is really wondering what's going on with the stuff here she's more than a little concerned this is up there with an incent from several years ago. Which could have gone very badly oh so very badly. She looks over to Corona for a moment then to Kukuru.

"So here we go again but I don't like this, this isn't a normal Game zone..."
Lily     The Gungeon doesn't respond to Tomoe's concern, instead, the east door opens when Kukuru gets near it and it... reveals a whole lot of nothing. There's a large room beyond it and a /huge gap/ spanning between two platforms, one near the entrance door and one at the end of the cavern.

At the end of the cavern though, there's a platform with what looks to be a helmet of sorts, it radiates a strange, ethereal power but... it looks like a plain helmet on a pedistal.
Corona Arclite "Whoa, lets not get split up again!" Corona yips as she's quick to scamper after Kukuru. So much for taking a breather. Oh well, they'd probably just get bored in short order anyways.

Not that they get very far. "That's... quite a gap." The vixen crouchs down, picks up a small stone, and flicks it into the empty void below to listen for it to hit anything or not.
Lily     The stone bounces off /something/ in the void... then another thing... and finally just falls into the void. SOMETHING is there between the void, but what is another question.
Kukuru "It'll be fine. If it happens again, I'll just join back up with you." Kukuru replies reassuringly to Corona without actually elaborating on how, still moving ahead and not stopping when they get to THE BIG ROOM with THE BIG GAP. It looks like she might very well walk right off that gap, too, as she spies that helmet on the pedestal waaay over there.

Also, she totally walks right off that gap. "Oh." Is all she manages to utter before she just drops right off, hurtling into the-she disappears in a burst of dark energy, reappearing moments later right at the other end by that helmet, landing facedown in the process.

"Iiii'm okay." Kukuru calls out without really trying to call out, picking herself up off the floor and brushing her shirt off lazily. Closer to the mysterious helmet, she takes all of three seconds to look at the thing before reaching for it to just yoink it right off.

"Heeeey. Do either of you wanna wear this?" Kukuru calls back a little bit louder. She's more than willing to let Corona or Tomoe call first dibs on that, and not just because it might be hard to actually put that thing on with her horns in the way.
Tomoe Tomoe didn't expect an answer but just is venting concerns to the rest of the group. she will paus for a moment as they contiune on and she looks at the helmt she stares and lookt o her companions. "I can fly for about three seconds like this but I can't carry anyone I don't think..." She stares at Kukuru then laughs. "Damn...nicely done."
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite's ears flick forward. Her accute hearing still has trouble making out just how deep the thunks came from. "Considerin' this place, Ah don't trust that's actually another floor of the Gungeon below use. That'd be... too geometrically practical." She stands back up, just to Watch Kukuru use teleport shenanigans to get to the helmet. Reachs up to pat her stetson with one hand and smirks. "Ah've already got a mighty fine hat as is."
Lily     The Gungeon seems to take some offense with the teleportation... and casings start to drain out of everyone's inventories! It's not a mean Gungeon, so it leaves at least thirty casings in everyone's inventories before the door unlocks and shows off the initial chamber again, awaiting the party. There's still only one door left though.
Corona Arclite Corona Arclite pinches fingers to the bridge of her muzzle for a moment. "Startin' to see why this place doesn't get along with certain people all the time..." Welp, nothing to be done about it at the moment. "Next time, be careful 'bout usin' abilities they don't normally got 'round these parts, Ah reckon." Doesn't seem to be anything else here and she doesn't care to go spelunking so Corona turns and heads back out to investigate the other doorway.
Kukuru That settles that, then! Slapping the helmet right on, Kukuru glances towards her pocket briefly as it feels a bit lighter, and she rummages around inside of it to realize that her wooden plank has become less... Plankful!

How she noticed that is something to be asked another day. For now, however, she retraces her steps to regroup with Corona and Tomoe: She faces the pedestal, she lays facedown, and then she teleports herself right back over (but on solid ground instead of in the pit).

"That's pretty inconvenient.  Hm... So it's like with the claws, then." She mumbles in reply to Corona, stretching her arms out overhead while taking her sweet time heading back towards the other path. "I wonder if there's a limit to that, thoguh... Ah, but seeing how far we can get following the path can be fun, too."
Tomoe Tomoe says "They don't like people being smart about the puzzels it eems." Now there's some rail roading Cardinal has dsone before but it also means she should be wary about it." Tomoe is now looking over the Casings for a moment as she fins she's losing rounds but it could be a lot worse for a punnishement.

"If I have to i'll melee but I doubt the dungeon would like it either. It could be worse and don't worry I'm not mad about it Kukuru. It was pretty clever thinking."
Lily     Fortunately, actual ammo in their 'guns' (or plank) hasn't been effect, just their currency.... to which the door opens to the east room to let them all through. The new room is /very/ dark, just a minimal glow around their bodies to light the area around them, and small pins of light around the wall.

The chill in the air grows a bit colder...red pips of light slowly rise from the ground an an unholy screech is made as hundreds of small, undead, bulletkin, Spent as they're called, start to rush down the three!
Corona Arclite It's dark, but Corona's ears swivel forward to make up for it with her other senses. Sure, she can see in the dark pretty well, but not extremely far without putting on her goggles. Which might not be a good idea considering how the place reacted to Kukuru's previous trick.

But that's okay, because the Spent are making plenty of noise with that screeching. "Lock'n'load ladies!" Horde of fast enemies? This calls for a shotgun!

Fortunately Corona has just that. She pulls out Forgesweeper, cha-chunks it's lever action once to engage it's power core, and a greenish-blue glow illuminates from down it's barrel. Which erupts out when she fires, sending out a spread pattern of hot electric plasma buckshot into the swarm swarming towards them.
Kukuru "Punching stuff's a last resort. I mean, this thing's fine, but..." Kukuru wiggles her plank a few times for emphasis in response to Tomoe. "I don't really get the rules. I guess it's okay if we hit stuff with things we find in here, but not with our own stuff or... Something?"

Rubbing her eyes lightly, Kukuru continues onwards at her usual languid pace. She squints a bit as her eyes adjust to the low light conditions in the next room, already flicking her pea shooter out of her other pocket when the red lights and screeching noises come from the darkness. "Okay... Back to work. Try not to fall in any holes if you die, 'cause I can't fix what I can't see."

And then she gets to fighting! Shooting at range, bashing and letting her nanites patch her up when they get too close for comfort. It's a simple strategy, but it's one that Kukuru's more than comfortable taking advantage of against swarms of things that aren't going to outright obliterate her. She even directs some of those nanites towards Corona and Tomoe when needed, providing them with the same healing support!
Tomoe Tomoe finds she has rounds left and isnt' so worries baout the money for the moment she relaxes only slightlya t this and she looks over to COrona for a moment. "... Oh boy..."

She levels he wepoain and the R O C K E Ts start flying as she uses her R at the oncoming horde trying to thin them out for Corona and Kukuru
