Tohru Adachi      SOMEWHERE IN JAPAN:
A convenience store closes. A boring, everyday convenience store. The oneyou'd find anywhere in the Land of the Rising Sun. Unlike all those other stores though, Adachi works here. Xion knows this, Lilian knows this, Tomari knows this. It wasn't even hard information to get, given that it was given to them by the man himself.

The last worker that isn't Adachi leaves the building, being as good a signal as any for the group to enter. The interior is what you'd expect. Shelves lined with snacks and actual necessities, and a register with an old CRT plugged in and tuned into some sort of baseball game...

And in front of that register Adachi. Surprisingly, still in his usual suit and tie, though he's got a store apron thrown over it. He's currently mopping the floor up, seemingly relegated to after store clean up. The ex-detective doesn't seem to be bothered by this though, whistling a tune as he labors away.
Lilian Rook     Lilian had not actually coordinated this with a group. She didn't exactly assume she'd need any help. And unlike with Tomari's reasons, she didn't show up to hold Adachi accountable for his crimes; though that *is* a convenient excuse. And unlike with Xion's reasons . . . she doesn't know about Xion, actually.

"Are you an idiot?" comes the now-familiar, icy cold received pronunciation, from just inside the door, though there's been no sound of it opening. "No no, I *know* you're an idiot. But do you honestly have a deathwish? After all that, you're really still just sitting here? Working as a wage slave? You didn't think it prudent to hide out with your little Watch friends? Even to plan for the *severe* reprimand you're about to receive?"

Lilian is in her best equivalent of 'street clothes' (which don't really fit in on the street all that well), but somehow, that doesn't really make the aura of *palpable menace* radiating from her any less severe. It feels like the start of a fire in back. A thin haze of smoke that makes it just hard enough to breathe to feel that something might be amiss. She walks slowly around the aisle, picking up two things along the way: a chocolate bar which she begins unwrapping and eating along the way, and a big bottle of extra strength painkillers which she drops down on the counter, along with a wad of yen.

    "You're going to need them."
Shinnosuke Tomari Shinnosuke Tomari actually opens the door, sounding him out. He's driven here in his Tridoron, and has his badge prepared.

"Tohru Adachi, this is Paladins Chevalier Shinnosuke Tomari. You're under arrest. If you need to ask why, I've got your audio logs of confessing to breaking out of prison."

He sounds exhausted. A bit depressed. And pretty frustrated that he has to do this *right now*, but it's good venting.

And then, Tomari spots Lilian. They hadn't coordinated this at all, but...as long as she doesn't kill him, he doesn't care right now. He doesn't have the energy to care right now about a group beating.

Adachi's probably going to put up a fight. The quicker it's over with, the better. Mr. Belt is already concealed under his jacket.

"Please come quietly."
Xion The back room of the convenience store rattles and bangs. There's the sound of something very uncool for a moment, a crash, a terrible cacophony of bangs and the inevitable sound of something rolling...

...and rolling...

...and rolli-DONK.
It stops.

The door opens (inside), and Xion peeks out, looking between Lilian and Shinnouske. Both, individually, are extremely capable Paladins officers looking to take Adachi in for crimes against...

The state???

Xion brushes some powder off her shoulder and smiles. "Oh. I see. In that case..." She holds ready her hand, and closes her fist around Starlight's hilt with a `shwink`. "Lilian. Tomari."

"Let me help you beat the evil out of him. He really deserves it. Gate of the Heart!"

A CRT TV (and a dirty Wii console) pop out of her inventory, as she points her blade at Adachi -- and a large black-and-red keyhole appears behind him.

"Open wide the path!"

She turns the key, and--

Okay, it's a terrible idea.
Tohru Adachi      "

Adachi lets out a small sigh as Lilian scolds them, wringing the mop out over a bucket before resting the cleaning instrument over his shoulder. "First off, I can't afford to miss a paycheck. Apartments aren't THAT cheap. Secondly, I guess I'm just the kind of guy who doesn't like dragging friends into their own messes? I'm a pretty selfless guy when I want to be, ya know?"

Adachi's smirks as he says this. Then snickers. And then... Laughs. It's a weird, ugly sound, a mix between belly laughing and crying, and it ends with an equally ugly vocal fry before he regains composure.

"But nah, I'm as bad as it gets. I just don't need people holding me back. So if you want to defend your girlfriend's honor, go for it. Something tells me that's just an excuse though."

Seemingly out of energy, Adachi slumps a bit, his head lazily turning to Tomari as he squints.

"Doubt you went through the proper channels to do that, buddy, but I like your spirit, so whatever. You're just here to fill a slot, honestly, because two isn't a proper party."

As if to punctuate his sentence, Adachi slams the mop into the bucket, forcing the water to slosh out as he lets go of it. He's already grabbing his face to summon his persona when Xion appears and uses her keyblade to open... Something?

The scenery suddenly changes, the once boring store now replaced with a ruined town. The sky is a bright, menacing red, which makes the buildings almost appear as silhouettes. Perhaps the most disturbing detail is the bodies hanging from the electrical lines, their features equally obscured by the weird lighting.

It doesn't seem to throw the disgraced cop off in the slightest however, instead eliciting another bone chilling cackle from them. He knows exactly where he is. He knows who HE is.

"Oh man, now this is FREAKING hilarious! Are you actually on my side Xion, or are you trying to teach me a lesson? Well, either way, let me repay you. Least that ol' Adachi can do"

He doesn't even have to try now, Magatsu Izanagi appears beside the keyblade wielder, clawed gauntlets latching on to her head as it lifts her up and throws her full force at Lilian and Tomari. Like bowling, but with people.
Shinnosuke Tomari As Xion appears and asks to help Shinnosuke Tomari, there's a weird expression on his face. An unknowing emotion, about Xion. Something's up in his head. But even so...

"Alright."

As the world changes, and the attack comes flying at him, Tomari's already got his belt on in the interim, shouting out as he activates the Type Speed shift car. "Let's take you for a spin for all your crimes!"

DRIVE! Type -- Speed!

Kamen Rider Drive appears. The tire appearing is an SFX error, and will never be referenced, despite not supposed to be here. He's sent sparking backwards from the blow, as he forces himself up, pulls back a punch, and moves to start flurrying blows into Adachi.

"You should have never had the badge in the first place! You want to do this the hard way, I'll drag you in no matter how injured you are!"

That's not a very Tomari line. He's angry and directing it at Adachi, as he moves to slam both fists into his (or Magatsu Izanagi's, whichever) head and clap them together, trying to rattle him backwards.
Lilian Rook     "Xion what the hell did you do?"

Lilian genuinely has absolutely no idea. She was looking to rough up a Watchman in a convenience store. Not whatever high stakes supernatural bullshit this is.

Also, Xion being used as a projectile weapon makes her commit to her own bad decision. Her instincts tell her to move out of the way and focus on Adachi. A dumbass, confusing, inexplicable part of her doesn't like the idea of just dodging Xion and letting her hit a concrete wall at top speed. Without even knowing why herself, Lilian braces to catch Xion. She slides back, smashes through the ruined door, and tumbles out into the street.

In some amount of confused disgust, she drops her catch as if it were toxic. Looks around, seems as if she's about to say something, bites her tongue, and then just blips right back in. Furious, she follows up with a sharp blow to the spine from behind, a left jab to the back of the head, and a corkscrew punch to the liver. She tries kick out Adachi's knee from behind, grab him by the shoulder, spin him around, knee strike him in the diaphragm, smash both hands to the side of his head to stun and disorient him, and then spinning back kick him in the face.
Xion Xion, lightly dusted in stockroom detritus, lifts her key to the 'lock'.

Xion, lightly dusted in stockroom detritus, cants her head to look, side-on, at Tomari. She catches his eye, and past him, Lilian. The look that Lilian sees only the Xion part of is odd, and ugly - betrayed in a revulsed way.

"Yeah. You should get r--"

Adachi pops off, hurling Xion - open black coat flaring open as she ragdolls into the others, only managing to recover thanks to Lilian going out of her way to catch her, running into her instead.

A moment later, she looks up, and sees another look, and this time her return look is of confusion, fear, and something else twisting behind her eyes.

On the ground, she angles her keyblade. Teeth clenched, Xion pushes up with her blade and skips frames to her feet, black and magenta swing-phone in hand. "It's because everything you say is meant to hurt people. Even us. So I'm putting up with Kamen Rider to help you out."

She starts pressing buttons on the keypad, each depression an antisound, a moment of silence. "Having to clean up your mess in front of Lilian is disgraceful."

Pressing 'send' on the phone, a belt appears at her waist, and she snaps the phone shut with a quick gesture. "I'm stopping you by force, Adachi."

The only noise the belt's action makes is the click of the phone against the cradle, and the snap of the phone-buckle in place. Power stancing with Starlight held in a diagonal guard, magenta lines erupting in dark armor around her. The mask, a blank white crystal, is crossed with a black X filled with more magenta.

"The only way to make sure there's not a stupid old man in your brain is to beat it out of you. And right now -- I kind of just want to lay you out either way!" She calls, hurling out her keyblade in a spinning magenta arc that bonks and whallops in passing before being caught--

right after it connects or near-misses, backswinging across the arc with a flicker of teleportation to catch up with her blade and follow-through.
Tohru Adachi      Kamen Rider Drive throws both of their fists in righteous fury, only to have both hands caught by Magatsu Izanagi's own. While it doesn't take any real visible damage, there's a weird static like effect that covers its body, causing Adachi to wince in pain in response. The crimson warrior lets out a roar in response, a single hand letting go of one of Tomari's fists as it grabs their helmet before exerting a large amount of force to bury them face first into the asphalt.

MEANWHILE: Lilian really doesn't have much of a problem with beating Adachi into submission, in fact he kind of just lets it happen. Despite his gangly appearance, he has an almost supernatural resilience. Not that it makes being beaten into the dirt not hurt, but at least he's only got a few fractures. Just as she's about done however, the former cop reaches into his coat, pulling out a model gun. A model gun that apparently fires real bullets, as when he pulls the trigger, lead leaves the barrel.

ELSEWHERE: Adachi stands up, and just as Xion is about to cross slash him with the ol' thrown keyblade teleport combo, Magatsu Izanagi appears to intercept it, the blades crashing into its body and making it wildly fizzle in a fit of static, letting out a howl before it and Adachi regain composure, enough to allow him to have his persona retaliate by thrusting its naginata downward. The pointed head of the weapon attempts to skewer them and pin them in place.
Shinnosuke Tomari Xion's look of disgust and remark about Kamen Rider make Shinnosuke realize he's been read clearly. He feels guilty about it, immediately, but he knows he can't let that override his judgment. He has to find the truth, both in that case...

And, well, in this case, but the truth is Adachi's a shitbag.

As his hands are caught and he's driven into the dirt, he's quick to roll out of the way after he's slammed down, despite the helmet damage.

"I'm hopping mad. Let's get wild!" He shouts, as Adachi gives no response to his accusations. Kamen Rider Drive grabs another Shift Car, and trades it into the slot. He switches, and then after he switches into Wild, grabs another...

DRIVE! Type -- Wild!

And forces Rumble Dump into the slot, in order to drill Adachi open.

Tire Change!-- RUMBLE--DUMP

The black and silver suit, with the tire on the shoulder and the yellow drill on the other, starts revving up. Kamen Rider Drive charges Magatsu Izanagi, moving to slam the drill into him over and over. It hurts Adachi, but he's supernatural. There's no killing force...

Even as he activates the finisher.

FULL THROTTLE! RUMBLE--DUMP!

The drill starts spinning rapidly, as Drive leaps into the air, and then moves to thrust it straight into Magatsu Izanagi, trying to knock Adachi out through sheer pain.
Lilian Rook     Adachi draws. Adachi aims. Adachi--

                -----[stop]-----
Lilian stares, blankly and frigidly, at the bullet leaving the barrel. "Seriously? Who does he think he is? Fastest draw in the west? A filthy ex-cop, thinking he can pull that on me?" Her hand hovers forward, and she flicks the side of the bullet with a 'ping' that will never be heard by anyone but her, pointing it into some random corner. "Truly you were never anything but an Extra with powers." She steps around to the side, just out of his field of view.
                -----[start]-----

--misses, to a pretty egregious degree. Like, 'actually how'. Lilian is nowhere to be seen for an instant, but if he'd ever paid attention to . . . actually, has the Watch ever reported on that? If they haven't, maybe that might be a surprise. But not otherwise. Lilian herself draws, from a thigh holster concealed under that skirt. It is much quicker.

In this case, it's a fairly ordinary automatic glock model, as she expected a G.D.F or Immunes issue firearm would probably kill Adachi; she hadn't expected him to be so weirdly durable. Still, it doesn't particularly stop her from burning a 32 round extension into him, the gun wiggling in her hand about as much as if it were clamped in a testing vice, even as spent brass sprays crazily around her inexorable forward path.

"A fucking gun? Really?" She has to raise her voice to be heard over the fiery noise. "You thought that'd work? What do you take me for?" The fact that she herself is using one rather speaks to what she takes Adachi for at the minute. "It's unfortunate you're strangely tougher than you look. It means you'll suffer for a lot longer before Tomari has his way with you." That probably means 'jail', but it's not like she cares.
Xion "Izanagi--!" Xion spits, addressing the persona like an independent being. "Don't get in my way!"

Spinning into a kick that follows her blade's strike, the riposte sends her off-balance and lets the retaliatory thrust drive across her chestpiece, dark orange sparks kicking off where metal met metal and carved into the suit she had adopted.

It's not enough to pin her, the ground disappearing like a black puddle underneath her as she twists into a corridor that closes around the naginata's head.

Reappearing with her keyblade held in a reversed grip in her left hand, Xsa Armor Xion is already thrusting her fist out to sock Adachi right in the face.

"Shut up, Adachi. You talk too much, and it's all hurt. You want me to talk to you, but only to twist everything around pain. I won't engage with it. There's no *point*."

Spinning, she rakes her blade in an arc, the space burning with a wash of stardust behind it that ends in a big magenta cartoon star.

As she teleports to a safe distance with a pouf of darkness, the magenta star bulges with a bright orange light, before detonating outward in a comically large thick x-shaped explosion, limned in a magenta fizz.
Tohru Adachi      "I think there's a misunderstanding here. I don't CARE about people. I just say what I want to say. If you get hurt by it, it's your own fault, but the funny thing about words and people is they just hear what they want to hear anyway!"

Magatsu Izanagi meets the force of RUMBLE DUMP head on with its own weapon, the tip of their naginata clashing with the drill as it creates a shower of sparks. Though the strength of Adachi's persona is mighty, so too, is the might of RUMBLE DUMP, and eventually something has to give. With one final push, the head of the naginata snaps, and there's a typical Tokusatsu firework display that happens with an inconclusive clash as Tomari and Magatsu Izanagi both go tumbling.

"Ngggh. And most ya know, most people these days just want to be angry. But you already knew that, that's why you're here, right?"

Lilian deflects her bullet. Somehow. Honestly, he'd love to figure it out, but now's not the time when she's got a glock pointed at him. He can't move faster than a pulled trigger, but he can sure try. He grabs the Paladin's gun, shoving it so that the bullets fired only graze rather than fully connect. There's a patch of blood on his now torn jacket, but it doesn't really deter him from raising a fist, throwing it back, and... Just aiming to punch Lilian straight in the face, his own gun still in hand as he does so. The whole motion for it almost looks like he's tripping, but despite the goofy execution, there's still a superhuman amount of force behind it.

"Hey! You can't just complain about guns and then use your o-"

Adachi's face is met with Xion's fist, and he reels black, covering his face in pain. The follow up of her slash however, is once again interrupted by the Interfering Izanagi, this time catching the keyblade with the hilt of its weapon. Unfortunately, that wasn't what it was supposed to be blocking, as she teleports away and the stars explode.

Despite its speed and attempts to avoid it, Magatsu Izanagi is caught in some of the explosion, star particles causing it to flicker as Adachi takes even more psychic backlash. Rather than running away however, it runs towards Xion, attempting to grab her by the chest and pin her against the ground. It brings its face directly in front of hers, before letting out a blood curdling scream, the indescribable sound trying to dig into the Faux Rider's brain in an attempt to instill some sort of panic and horror into her.
Shinnosuke Tomari The clash meets. Both Rider and Persona go down, but both are still in the fight. Tomari raises himself back up, slowly, grunting from the pure pain. He doesn't speak.

He moves to rush Adachi - not Izanagi - and initiate a grapple in order to suplex him into the ground. Adachi will have to bring his Persona back to focus on him if he wants to block or avoid it. It's raw strength meets grappling skill, moving to speedily slam Adachi down hard.
Lilian Rook     "Oh, that's fine then." Lilian replies frostily. "I just like to throw my fists around. If you get hurt by it, it's your own fault."

The gun is turned away at the last possible instant by Adachi's desperate offensive maneuver. It's hardly a display of trained reflexes and combat skill, but Lilian more or less responds to it automatically in the same way as if it had been a professional deflection. In theory only, however. Training tells her to turn with the out-thrown arm and minimize her profile between Adachi's punching arm and his head, wedge into the shoulder and put him in a choke hold. Older instincts tell her otherwise.

                -----[stop]-----
Lilian casually tosses the empties glock to the side, the gun lazily spinning sideways through the air for a few feet before freezing in place. She didn't bother to bring a spare magazine anyways, and Adachi doesn't share a compatible calibre. Instead, she ducks under his arm as if it were red rope, brushing past while being careful not to touch him, and summons Night Mist to her hand in a cumulative wave of inky fog that'll disperse all at once in just one subjective moment. Standing back to back with Adachi, she reels her arm forward, and . . .
                -----[start]-----

Lilian is already behind Adachi as he swings. His fist whooshes through empty air. Not only that, but the pommel of that wickedly bloodthirsty sword, too ominously styled to be blunt and entirely safe, is *centimeters* from his back already, shot backwards from a brutal pommel strike between his shoulder blades. Only after it connects, is she right back in front of him again, smashing his head back with a full windup flat-of-the-blade swing that he must have missed nine tenths of somehow. It's followed up by a standing snap kick to the ribs to send him flying away. At least that's probably what it was. He can't really quite see it.
Xion Panic.
Horror.

Xion struggles, underneath Mangetsu Izanagi, and lifts her hand to press into the screeching face of the Persona.

Images flash before her eyes, hundreds of them, from a dozen lifetimes she didn't live, and Xion recoils. Releasing her blade from its pin against her body, she rolls her arm out and kicks out, sending Izanagi back into--

A portal?

MEANWHILE, IN SPACE:

Mangetsu Izanagi spends a cold moment in hard vacuum.

Rolling out from her pin, Xion rocks her hand across her belt so the slide phone opens, and slaps the START button. Magenta light builds in the phone, as something silent etches itself into negative soundspace.

"I'm here for a lot of things. But mostly I'm here because you're super gross and you can't think you won't catch a consequence for it."

Crouching in a drawing stance, Xion swings a hand out in a quick slash and it burns into life something blacker than black, with a red ball-cap that does not vortex out a slash -- it vortexes *in* Adachi in a ripple of distorted space and deleted distance:

Just for Xion's spinning kick, charged with magenta light and firing a cone of pink light. "I think there's a misunderstanding here too!"

"If you get hurt by this -- it actually is your fault!"
Tohru Adachi      Lilian disappears to dodge Adachi's clumsy punch, before shoving the pommel of her sword into his back. He nearly falls forward, even as Lilian appears in front of him. And then he does, avoiding their frontal assault with the grace of a middle age man in a clown getup falling down the stairs. He's quick to play it cool and pick himself up however, dusting his store apron off.

"Tch. Already made up your minds huh? Well, it's no fun talking when that happe- Oh for crying out lo-"

Adachi sees Tomari coming, but it's too little too late, he's tackled and suplexed, his fleshy cop body hitting the asphalt with a loud CRUNCH.

Something probably broke, but given he's rolled his way out and is picking himself up again, it's probably nothing too important.

Again, he doesn't get time to breathe, as Xion sets up the Rider Kick Funnel on his body and just...Goes through him? Adachi's no sure what to think other than it fucking hurts, staggering a bit as he nearly falls from the pain.

Honestly wishing he did at this point, but a persona' blessing is also a curse sometime. But finally, with some time for himself, Adachi calls his Magatsu Izanagi back to his side, the persona's hand already outstretched as the air in the area becomes tense.

"Man. Really bringing back old memories here, but I don't plan on losing here. Can't go back to jail now after all I've been through. REALLY don't want to see my old partner. Pretty sure that'd actually kill me."

The crimson warrior clutches its hand, three of large  pillars of searing light erupting from where the three do-gooders are standing. There's a loud, almost heart dropping reverb noise that fills the area as the attack goes off.

     "Oh. Right. Megidolaon, or whatever~"
Shinnosuke Tomari The Megidoloan roars out at Tomari after he suplexes Adachi. It consumes the Kamen Rider, burning into his armor, sparking it brightly, and nearly debelting him.

Nearly.

"Shinnosuke! We can't go any further!" Mr. Belt shouts to the Kamen Rider. He ignores him. This man's vile. This situation's vile. Everything's vile.

Horne is dead, and he failed him. Does that make him vile? It doesn't matter.

Drive pushes out of the Megidolaon, and rushes Magatsu Izanagi. It takes the drill one last time...

And proceeds to do a finisher without even activating Full Throttle, by clutching it by the arm, smashing it into the ground, and drilling back into it, just long enough to subdue the Persona Wielder. Even in a situation like this, Shinnosuke Tomari has restraint.

The sheer force of energy is going to take him out of the fight. But at the least, Adachi should be down and prepared to be arrested, should Tomari not be left unconscious by the effort.
Lilian Rook     "I made up my mind a long time ago. I don't need to spare a moment's thought for things like you." Lilian replies, for some reason, as Adachi more or less drunken masters his way out of the crossup by serendipitous accident. "People love to go on and on about moral codes and ethical heroism and all that tripe, but if they need even a second to search their hearts about what to do with something such as yourself, they don't know what either of those are."

Auto-targeted full party death roll attacks aren't really something that you *dodge*. Even if Lilian teleported, the spell is already happening. So it's *weird* that she'd move just a split second *before* the spell has even been cast. Exactly, if ever so subtly, like she'd known it was coming.

Lilian flips the grip on that sword. It oozes cold-sweat-malice. Not an intent to drink blood like a demon blade, but a desire to 'have retribution', surpassing merely human signals.

"Funny. I hadn't really planned on this either. But things happen, don't they?"

Lilian turns the sharp point on Adachi this time. Reach, speed, precision, strength, leverage, skill; she has it all. Enough to leave nowhere to go, to barely be able to see, to slice through a mere gun used to block, and to cut deep into a human being's soft tissues, exactly where they release all the pain chemicals and trauma responses, without severing arteries or puncturing lethal organs. Bleeding out on the order of thirty minutes instead of thirty seconds.

    She slashes him. Three times.
Xion For a moment, the red eruption consumes her, and even the shadow of her in the flames twists into nothingness.

Until the pillar freezes in space. A line of black slices through the frozen deathflare, and the whole thing twists at the edge of a singularity-point where the slicing line emerged.

It is pulled, drawn past an event horizon into the swaying edge of Xion's sword. 'Black' across the whole length, the shape is hard to make out for the whole material appears to be cut out of space, absorbing all light. Sometimes, through specific angles of viewing 'through' the blade, a distant and tiny point of light like the farthestmost star shines through.

At its tooth is a flat crystal sphere filled with blood crimson. The pillar continues to twist into the vacuum-blade, until the entire effect is streaking away around her.

Then it is gone, and Xion swishes the blade through the air once.

"Tohru." Xion breathes, and he knows, without more than her tone, the way her helmet turned at him, that she was looking down at him. He knows, as it screams factually at his brain.

'She is looking down at you.'

Lifting the tip of her blade to point, Xion announces. "If you cast death curses casually around, then you're ready for this."

Xion's vantablackuum-blade touches Lilian's three times.

Of course, at the point where their T H R E E S L A S H E S meet into X - C U T S.
Tohru Adachi      Magatsu Izanagi attempts to block Tomari's attack. It fails, as it's shoved to the side and pinned to the wall.

This gives both Lilian and Xion the time they need to slash three times. Which adds up to six, which is divisible by two by three... Anyway, he is defeated by a cursed power of the TETRA SLASH, and falls to the ground, arms and legs splayed out as he just stares at the sky.

"Firstly, if the 'she' you're talking about is who I think it is. Eat my fucking ass you stupid corpse. SECONDLY, Maaaaaaaaaaaan, this sucks. I get visitation rights, right? I don't believe for a second any of you want to talk after all of this."
Shinnosuke Tomari Shinnosuke Tomari debelts, finally, after Adachi goes down. He's exhausted. He's gonna collapse at any moment.

Assuming Xion doesn't put up a defense, he moves to try and cuff Adachi. If she does, he literally Cannot fight her right now. He'll still try to cuff him, it'll just be really easy to stop him.
Xion Xion hangs there, holding her throbbingly black blade motionless and staring, across the falling Adachi as he finally gets corncobbed.

Then a hand falls to her belt, where she grips the phone, works the latch up, and tugs the device free. An operation of the thumb and the armor flashes off, first the black 'suit fill', and then the lines of magenta ribbon away.

Xion lowers her sword and watches Lilian. Then...

Adachi. "Adachi. I'll come get you if she doesn't give you back... But I'm not going to stop Lilian and Tomari from taking you. This really is the consequences of your own actions."

Tomari's right. Cuffs around Xion really is an 'if she wants it' situation.

She squats down as Tomari cuffs him. "Adachi. I'm not some stupid little girl who you think will validate your crummy behavior. Grow up or buzz off."

Xion absentmindedly slings Twist Rivet over her shoulder where it adheres to the back of her coat and hood like a vacuum on low or scotch tape. A particularly peel-y unsound.

All around the quartet, the world peels back to normal, rolling back up into the oddly dark keyhole that Xion had used earlier to have it all spill out. All his spaghetti.

But there was more spaghetti. Tohru Adachi was more mald than man. When even the keyhole disappears, there's no trace that there was a fight.

Except the stockroom. Xion just bumbleassed through that whole place, and it's a mess.
Lilian Rook     Lilian when Adachi collapses, looks ready to keep going. She looks more ready to keep going than she should, even if she from five minutes ago were to look at herself now. There is a throbbing sense of barely chained malice around her. The fitful stirrings of something half-asleep, that shouldn't be woken. Smoke is steadily trickling from the edges of that sword, like it can't quite decide whether it's solid or an illusion. Her hand is perfectly still; is it vibrating?

But someone who has been joined in the holy ritual of heroic X cuts isn't going to keep fucking up a dude who's just surrendered. Not with the sharp edge anyways. Instead, Adachi gets to 'eat my fucking ass' before Lilian starts strutting up, and then viciously kicks him in the side of the head. It's not even a police brutality kick. It is a precise, collected, toe point highschool sociopath kick, meant for fat girls someone will eventually bully into attempted suicide. That kind actually hurts a lot more.

"You get what you get you sad little mouthy degenerate. Playing like you don't care, like it's all a dumb little game played on poor little put upon you, an absolute asshole who totally deserves it, but not really, right? That's why Xion can't stand you. That's why you're here. And that's why you get what you get." Cue heel to gut as Tomari cuffs him. Not the suffocation kind. The kind you yell a safeword after because something cracked.

But now she has to look at Xion. Her eyes drift to her 'keyblade'. For a long time. Pointedly and unreadably. But they eventually drift back, from the weapon to her blue eyes. She releases a deeply held tension-breath, like the 'I can't stay mad at you' kind, though she hadn't really seemed visibly mad at Xion before.

"That imbecile's criminal record, the justice system, court and prison, whatever; those are for a police officer to deal with. They're Tomari's problem. If he feels like it, I'm sure he'll try to stop you. I'll certainly do my necessary part and file an advanced notice. But I'm not here to correct the mistake of his world's helpless little police pageant play, especially not *for* them. There are simply limits I place on how long I stand by while human refuse like this is spreading their misery to people I'm trying to make happy."

"Professionally, I urge you to leave him to Paladins custody. Personally, I won't lose sleep over it once I've had the opportunity to teach him some *respect*. We'll see how sincere he feels about talking up being a 'changed man' after." There's a tired, half-assed smile somewhere in there. "You know, I was a little worried what that new leadership, those new people, might be doing to you, Xion. But I'm at least happy that you grew up with a few sturdy pillars at heart. Even if you want to say it's not much, where you build the foundations of a person count."
Xion Xion rises from her squat as Lilian lays in with the kicking, her sword-arm dropping slightly.

She catches Lilian looking at her blade, and at her, and smiles weakly. The blade collapses into the tooblack guard, which then smears together into a bracelet that works through a few geometric patterns before settling into a simple band.

"Jail is a hell that was built for the living." Xion murmurs quietly. "Once you're done talking with him, just let him go. Otherwise, I'll come get him."

Xion nods to Tomari, all business, before another fading smile to Lilian. "Thanks for understanding."
