Chase      Genm Corp HQ. One couldn't miss it. Mostly because it has its name and logo boldly emblazoned on the side of the building.

Luckily for Cantio and Guzma, the process of getting inside isn't too hard. No scheduling needed, they just needed to say their names, and they're escorted right through the doors. Flanked by two Japanese men in suits, the Concord duo is led through an elevator and into the CEO's office.

Dan Kuroto sits at his desk, fingers steepled in front of his face as he smiles.

"Greetings. Cantio and Guzma, was it? I don't know why the Concord wishes to pay me a visit, but I can only hope I can be of service. So tell me, what do you need?"
Guzma Guzma is here. He's following after Cantio. He nods to the men in suits, and once they're there, does a formal nod to Dan. Guzma is not dressed in his thug clothes, but in his mafia vest. He actually looks like he's here on business. Even with the skull tie.

This is because he doesn't want to screw it up for Cantio.

"Yo, Mr. Dan. I'm Guzma. I'll let Cantio do the talking, I'm just here to be pretty." A small joke, though he has a tablet at his side anyways. Just in case this starts to go bad.
Cantio It had taken a fair bit of preparation to get all her data together, but Cantio's determination to try and do something useful with her experiments is finally coming to a head! Maybe.

It all depends on how the CEO of Genm Corp reacts to it. She's dressed to make a good impression today: A neatly pressed suit, a white blouse, well-tailored pants, glasses to make her look smarter, and a hat to make her look vaguely older and wiser without resorting to changing her hair or anything like that. She's carrying a briefcase that clatters gently with each step, as though there's actual documents in there instead of just a whole pile of random flash drives or something.

Arriving at the CEO's office, Cantio bows lightly at the waist in greeting while taking her hat off. "Greetings, Mister Dan. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us today." She bites back a snicker at Guzma's wisecrack, then steps up to the table.

"As may know already, the Concord and the other factions have already gotten involved in matters surrounding the Bugsters situation and developing a vaccine against it. Your company was mentioned a couple of times in passing, and I was hoping you would be more open to..."

She inhales briefly, glancing at Guzma for some moral support, then back at Kuroto. "... Exploring other angles of solving the crisis. Curing it would be fine, but I think just curing it without learning more about the Bugsters or seeing what they can be useful for would be a wasted opportunity. How does this sound to you, Mister Dan?"
Chase      Dan Kuroto simply nods at Guzma and smiles, paying little mind to his thuggish vernacular. Not because he's used to such people, but at the end of the day, everyone is beneath the CEO. A God.

When Cantio goes over what she wishes to do, he looks at the two security guards that are still standing by the couple, waving a hand at them to dismiss them. They leave, locking the door behind them as they do so, leaving the three alone.

The CEO lifts himself out of his chair, turning around as he looks out from the giant window that was behind him.

"Oh trust me, and I'm well aware. But I see. You know, I provide the equipment and surgery the doctors need to combat the Bugster Virus. The Gamer Driver, the Gashats, even the doctors themselves are using my work. You could basically say when it comes to knowing about Bugsters, I'm the most knowledgeable man in this room. What information you could have scrounged up in such a short time is useless to a genius like me."

There's an icy coldness to Kuroto's voice as he says this, the casual tone he had just used prior completely gone. As he turns around to face the group again however, he grins.

"However, not once have I ever heard anyone openly admit to wanting to use the Bugster Virus for anything else but wiping it out. And since I am a benevolent and merciful God, I will humor you. Now tell me, what did you have planned?"
Guzma As Shin Dan Kuroto is revealed, looking out at the window, revealing himself as a genius, Guzma grimaces briefly. But then...he grins as he faces them, and Guzma grins as well. They want a proposal.

"Right now, the Bugsters are out of control. The enemy of humanity. Monsters that go wild. But...what if they weren't wild?"

He picks up the tablet, showing it. Cantio's seen the footage before. It's basically a real-life ad for Pokemon, describing everything he says. "Use them to battle. Fight. Do services. Hell, companionship for the weirdos who want a disease as a friend. In my world, we have monsters such as that. Monsters perhaps even susceptible as hosts to the virus. Imagine if your monsters were like that, too."

Guzma places the tablet back under his arm. "You're a businessman and a creative. You're passionate. Smart. And you want to profit, don't you? Imagine them in the palm of mankind."

"Imagine them in *your* palm."
Cantio Cantio is careful not to look too closely at the guards as they step away, instead focusing her attention on Kuroto. On his demeanor. On his movements. On the way he speaks, and presents himself. She breathes in slowly, clearly a little intimidated, but she keeps her voice firm as she finally speaks up again once he finishes.

"We wouldn't be here if we came empty-handed, of course. As for the research I've done... Ah, that can wait until after we've come to an agreement first." Cantio doesn't look at Guzma after saying that, but it's somewhat obvious that she wants to at that moment. She actually smiles confidently when he gives his pitch, waiting for him to finish as she recollects her thoughts and her composure.

"You're right about people not wanting to use the Bugster Virus for... Well, anything. They see it as a threat, and understandably so. But as Mister Guzma explained just now, there might be some untapped potential in them that only... Visionaries would really recognize."

Part of her feels just a little gross using that word, but it's not like she's not lumping herself in with that. "I've already seen some promising results with my own preliminary research back home at-" She freezes up for a moment, then clears her throat before bowing lightly once again.

"My name is Cantio, Drive Core Candidate of the city of Cadenza." After finally clarifying that, she continues! "I believe working with Genm Corp would be far more useful for both of us compared to just..." She waves a hand vaguely. "Destroying the Bugsters outright. Power, money, everything in between... How does that sound?"
Chase      "I see. I see. You two seem to be on the right track, but you still need it spelled out for you. I suppose it is only fair that since you do not hide your intentions from the Divine, that I should illuminate my plans to you."

Kuroto examines the tablet placed on the table and its content, before continuing.

"I do not care about profits. About money. Those two things are beneath me. The only thing I care about is making my genius known. For that, I need the Bugster Virus. To make a game that the whole world has to play. A game of MY design. Anyway, I know what you can offer me. Having the Concord backing is nothing but a boon, but... What blessings do you want from me?"
Cantio When Kuroto emphasizes what he's really interested in, Cantio looks mildly surprised. That surprise soon gives way to both a pleased smile and some confused looks, however, between realizing that Kuroto's in it for more than just money and also wanting the world to play his game.

"A game? Um... Yes, that should be much easier to accomplish with our connections." After slipping those glasses off and tucking them into a pocket, Cantio places her briefcase on the table next to the tablet. "Frankly speaking, I want your expertise on our side. I want more power for myself, for Guzma, for the Concord. I can't create a utopia with just good intentions and half-measures."

She inhales briefly, as if collecting herself again. "Your knowledge of how the Bugsters work, what these Gashats can do, if... How this Bugster Virus can be used to neutralize the Viruses in my own home or even-" She gestures at Guzma's tablet. "-Control them outright. The preliminary testing I mentioned earlier looked promising, but it's still a lot of guesswork at the moment. Having your knowledge to analyze all of it and to convert into something useful would make it easier for all of us to become gods."

There's only a hint of discomfort in her voice, as if she's not quite used to just saying it like that. "The others I had mentioned my research to didn't take very kindly to even looking at it, but I'm hoping you're more open to using this data. If we have an agreement, I'll hand over the data I've compiled in here." She smacks the briefcase for emphasis. "Do we have a deal?"
Guzma Guzma says nothing. He has no desires Cantio hasn't mentioned. He just positions himself in case Kuroto takes umbrage to what Cantio has said. After all, he's the meat tank!
Chase      "More power to yourself? That's a basic request not even worth considering for someone of my talents.  Do not bore me. The power to control Bugsters? You can tie them to a game and make them play parts, but at the end of the day, the only way to control them is through strength and fear. They are not unlike unruly children that need to be disciplined, if that makes sense. "

Dan Kuroto sits back down in his office chair, pulling out a laptop from under his desk which he immediately opens up and begins typing on. His eyes don't break away from the screen as he types, but he continues to hold the conversation.

"I expect the viruses where your from can be dealt with in a similar way. That aside, I do not care what methods you've obtained your data from. And as for what a Gashat can do, rather than mundanely explain it, I can give you two options, either you can give your ideas to me, or I can lend you the developer tools to create your own. There is, however, a stipulation, but I expect you will not mind it that much."

Looking up from his laptop, the CEO gives a devious smile. Any attempts to hide his true nature at this point are all but gone.

"Anything you create will be the intellectual property of Genm Corps. Period. You will however, receive a fifty percent cut of all the profit. Considering you are using MY genius, I think this arrangement is fair."
Cantio If Cantio was surprised, she... Okay, she's actually pretty bad at hiding it when Kuroto reveals that the Bugsters can be controlled not unlike an animal. "Really? That's... I'll have to try that once I get home, then." She comments idly, although there's probably some intent in there to reveal that she just has some captive Bugsters lying around.

"They can be dealt with violently rather easily, but taming them or even just corralling them in my home city isn't something I can do freely. It's a..." Cantio sighs lightly. "Appearances. A domesticated Bugster would be easier to accept just because nobody else knows what they are yet."

When Kuroto all but gives her a signal that he's okay with using any methods to get data, meanwhile, she finally opens up her briefcase. Although the contents were jostled a bit on the way in, they're still organized rather well in both paper and flash drive format: The results from her experiments with infecting Viruses, animals, and people with the Bugster Virus, preliminary observations about the results in each case whether the relevant Bugster (if any) was allowed to survive the host's demise or if the host died before full conversion, and a whole slew of raw biological and digital data that Cantio hasn't actually figured out yet.

She also takes a cube out of the briefcase, expanding it into a tablet of her own as she slips those glasses back on and starts swiping through and tapping away at various screens. "I believe Guzma had an idea for a Gashat, so I'll leave it to him to propose that first one. But I'd also like a development kit to produce my own based off what we can learn from it."

"And there should be no problems the intellectual property matter. This is about improving my home first and foremost, so I'm totally okay with calling it a collaboration."
Guzma "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon." Guzma suddenly says, fervently.

"Imagine a dungeon crawler. Now, imagine you play a cute or terrifying monster. Now imagine you team up with other monsters, roaming the land, and you work together to fight OTHER monsters. Pokemon, of course."

"And there's like, these Kecleon merchants. Because it's gotta be Kecleon, right? Yeah, definitely."

Guzma nods to himself.

"That's my pitch. It's gonna be better than a Wii U game."
Chase Dan Kuroto, being the God-like figure he is, begins typing away on his laptop again with one hand as the other reaches down towards one of the desk's drawers. He opens it, pulling out a stack of paper and a pen that he slides towards Cantio and Guzma.

"Interesting, very interesting.... Though I would prefer you not sully this sacred office with the name of failures. I do not need that kind of energy here. Anyway, we're almost done. Just sign the papers, and I'll get to work and deliver the tools you need for later."

The stack of papers is actually a bunch of busywork. Non disclosure agreements, the deal that was already discussed, the works. Why he has these papers already on hand is anybody's guess though. Maybe he just hates waiting for the printer.
