Sarracenia      Sarracenia didn't give much notice, but she realized she had a free night and so sent an invitation to her lady-in-waiting....Tomoe! An invitation to what exactly? Why, a royal sleepover! Her parents had been dubious on the prospect, but as usual they did not stop her.

So, the princess's rather large bedroom has been made available to Tomoe. When the tall warrior arrives she is met at the door by Sarracenia, who seems more upbeat than usual. She greets Tomoe with a bright smile and a hug. "Hello, Tomoe! Welcome to Sundew Castle! Have you been here before? I don't think so. Would you like a tour or should we get right into the sleepover festivities!"
Tomoe Tomoe had got a message from Sarracenia and had been mostly dealing with things on her own world so pressing it had kept her from the multiverse at large. Yet she's here it doesn't take too long for her to reach the Palace. What is of note Tomoe is not in plate armour at all when she arrives. She grins and shakes her head. "I'd love a tour if your offering I admit my own home would be a very short tour but if you want one later? I'll happily return the favour."
Sarracenia      Sarra giggles and takes one of Tomoe's hands, then leads her into the castle. "Well, we won't have time to see the town tonight. But, I can give you a tour of the castle at least!" she says, practically dragging Tomoe around in her excitement. Has she never had a friend visit the castle before on a social visit?

The castle has most of what one would expect of a castle. A large throne room, elaborate tapestries depicting important historical events, suits of armor lining the halls, coats of arms hanging on the walls. Sarracenia doesn't spend much time on those. She's never been much of one for history lessons.

But, she does take Tomoe out into the central courtyard, which is in the very center of the castle surrounded by the safety of the massive walls.

The courtyard is about the size of a football field, and filled to the brim with beautiful flowers and carnivorous plants of the normal, non-piranha variety. "What do you think? This is my favorite place in the castle other than my own room!"
Tomoe The Towering Salamander grins at her friend takes her hands and she let her lead the way. She can sense her friend's excitement and is glad for it. She would take in the sight of the castle. It is impressive and it shows on her face as they go about. She will soon find her way into the courtyard and she let out a low whistle.

"That is quite the garden you have here. Whoever maintains it does a heck of a job with it."
Sarracenia      "They certainly do!" Sarracenia agrees. "My little piranha plant servants make sure it stays in this condition, and the climate here means that flowers can grow all year round!"

The princess twirls a few times, then just...flops down on her back in the flowers. It is already pretty dark and the stars are visible above them, so she just smiles and gazes upward. "Are you surprised I like flowers? Most people think I am too abrasive to like flowers." she says, grinning as if she sort of hopes Tomoe is surprised.
Tomoe Tomoe says "That's pretty interesting. Yeah with no winter they can grow pretty much non-stop then. Must be good for crops too in this region I'd say."

Tomoe shakes her head. "I admit I didn't expect it but I can't argue with the view here at all."

It seems Tomoe is indeed surprised by this.
Sarracenia      Sarracenia seems delighted by Tomoe's surprise and lets out a few little giggles. "I knew it!" she says, then sits up and smiles. "Maybe I should have the servants put up one of those...what do they call it? A tent? One with a clear top so we could see the stars. What do you think about that?" she asks, then stands up and sighs. "No, then we would have to deal with bugs. I hate bugs. And it would be much harder to bathe and keep my clothes in good condition."
Tomoe Tomoe says "Camping could be fun, a lot of fun if your up for it. I have a few things in my inventory if we need anything else. As for tents I been camping way before I unified with my family and friends at times. It's good fun as for bugs we got ways to deal with them! There's thing we can burn to ward them off or sprays to repell them at least the biting ones for earth for here? I don't know I admit."
Sarracenia      Sarracenia considers a few moments longer, and with a nervous sound she finally nods. "Alright! I'll have them set it up. If it is too icky out here we can always head inside later, right?" With that, she pulls out her cell phone and makes a call. She gives whoever is on the other side some instructions, then smiles to Tomoe. "It will take them a bit to get everything together, but until then...what would you like to do?"
Tomoe Tomoe beams at this idea. "This will be fun, then again in my line of work I had to camp a lot. It will be nice to not have to worry about encounters while we are doing it here." She ntoes and she'll look to Sarra as she's asked what she wants to do before the camp's set up.

"Well I haven't had anything to eat yet, so how about that?"
Sarracenia      Sarracenia nods at that. "Of course! Dinner is included in the sleepover!" she says, then claps twice and calls out, "The evening meal for my guest and myself shall be served outside!" Her voice is loud enough that it seems to echo about within the walls of the courtyard.

It is only a few minutes before a small table and two chairs are brought out, followed by a catering cart with several different selections atop it. Baked and fried meats and veggies of many varieties, a few deserts such as lemon, lime, and pecan pies. And ice cream as well! Sarracenia has a seat once things are set up and has a selection of items piled onto her plate. Quite a few of them are mushrooms. "Eat as much as you would like!"
Tomoe Tomoe is excited about this as the food and tables re brought out. She'll move to sit down and she will tearinto things. Fairly politely but it's clear she won't know the finer points. Still it's not as 'savage' as Sarra might have thought. She does seem to be enjoying it. "You really went all out ont his and I thank you!"
Sarracenia      It isn't like Sarra is observing the finer points of ettiquette either, since she takes no time digging in as well. She does use utensils though, even on the fried items. She blinks at the thank you, then giggles. "All out? Oh no, dear. This is merely a friendly meal! All out would be a six or seven course dinner eaten over a few hours!" she says, forgetting not to talk with her mouth full and causing her words to be muffled somewhat.

She blushes a bit after realizing that and with an embarrassed look on her face she makes sure to be a bit more careful about it. "So! What have you been up to? Any grand adventures you could regale me with?"
Tomoe Tomoe is enjoying ther meal for this. "Okay you make a good point. This would be all out for how I grew up though." She admit enjoying the food as she goes. "I could think of a few to talk to you about but I have had quite a few over the years give me a moment to think..."
