Scene #7908: Katt Doesn't like Princess Plushies

Sarracenia	Another beautiful sunny day in the Sundew Kingdom. The castle town is bustling, airships fly in and out of the skyport overhead, piranha plant soldiers patrol the streets to keep the citizens safe, and the citizens are going about their daily lives. And Sarracenia has a friend over for once! Also, Sarracenia has a friend! She forgets sometimes that she does have one or two steadfast friends even if they don't see each other as much as they'd like. What are they up to? Well, shopping of course! Sarracenia has asked Alexis to join her, and naturally has tried to make Alexis carry all the bags, but if her friend wasn't feeling like a pack mule today then they have a piranha plant in a butler outfit carrying those bags. Bags of things that are very similar to clothes or accessories Sarracenia already has. The princess just enjoys the shopping! So, Sarra is just walking down the main street at the moment, in sight of the city's main gate.
Alexis	Alexis has no problem carrying a few bags. And knows Sarracenia will never stay at a few. Which is why she brought her Machamp to handle the hard work and give the poor plant staffers a day off with the Princess out of the castle. She wasn't super big into the shopping scene but it did mean getting to spend some friend time with Sarracenia
Katt	Another beautiful sunny day! Except some people aren't having a very good one. Katt finally had gotten around to picking up the package from Sarracenia. She is the sort of person who will always accept free stuff, and if she didn't like it she had friends who would. Plushies weren't usually her style. But she had to inspect the merchandise first, and the problem is that Katt doesn't always keep up with all the news. Certainly not stuffed animal news. Why would she? Which leads to... "SARRACENIA!" A furious yell comes down from the rooftops before it is followed, a moment later, by the person yelling. Katt is normally a red-headed girl with tiger striped fur on her legs and tail, a tank top, and a champion's belt, carrying a staff. Today she is a red-headed girl who presumably has all the rest of that except she's been put into a froggie costume. It's made to look like she's looking out of the mouth, with fake eyes on the top of her head. She still has the staff, though. She lands about twenty feet away, pointing dramatically with the staff. "Your stupid gift is a pain in the butt!" she yells, before she glances over toward the other woman she's with who Katt doesn't know and their followers. Alexis isn't who she's mad at, though.
Sarracenia	Sarracenia has even purchased the Machamp a nice full-brimmed hat to keep the sun off its head and neck as they shop! "I am so glad you could come visit today, Alexis! When was the last time we visited? I can't even remember! Are you sure you don't want me to buy you a dress? I know you don't have many! Oh! And, did you get any of the Princess-" And then that shout echos through the shopping area and Sarracenia blinks in surprise before looking over as that mysterious person lands. "...Plushies?" Sarracenia finishes her thought. Then...she snickers before doubling over laughing. "Oh! It's perfect! And the frog suit!" she laughs, wiping at her eyes. "What do you mean it's a pain? It looks so cute on you!" she says, still laughing though she does seem to think it is cute. "D-does that make you that person I sent free Princess Plushies to a few days ago?" she asks finally, trying to get her laughter and breathing under control.
Alexis	Alexis chuckles a bit. "You know I'm not a dress type Sarra. Atlas appreciates the hat though. Don't you?" The pile of bags and boxes is shifted to balance in three arms so the forth can give a thumbs up. Then someone yell's Sarra's name and she stops to look. Can't help but snicker a little. "Careful Sarra. She looks hopping mad."
Katt	"Yeah, I'm Katt," Katt says, drawing herself up to her full height... of only a bit over five feet; she's far shorter than either Alexis or Sarracenia. "Champion gladiator of Coursair and member of the Concord..." "...and this looks ridiculous! It isn't cute, and even if it was, I'm not going for cute here!" Katt huffs, slightly red in the face. "And that isn't funny," she adds to Alexis. "It's really not!" "Anyway, I don't want to dress up like a frog! Do I look like a frog to you?" She jabs her thumb at herself as if to emphasize it. Unfortunately right now the suit kind of does... she even has to think about standing up straight, the suit wants to make her stand lower, like a frog. She leans on her staff. "So tell me how to get it off or I'm going to beat you up for tricking me into it," Katt says, completely matter-of-factly.
Sarracenia	Sarracenia snortgiggles at Alexis's joke, then smirks as she looks at Katt. "Well...you do sort of look like a frog at the moment." she says, then hees and grins. "But, I'm not just going to tell you." she says as she reaches into her satchel and pulls out...a hammer taller than Sarra herself and likely a few times heavier. "But, if you face me in combat I am sure you'll be able to figure it out." she says as she twirls the hammer a few times then brings it to rest atop her shoulder. "What do you say?"
Alexis	Alexis has been friends with Sarracenia long enough to realize the Princess Plushies for what they were. That's why there was no incidents at the ranch and a sealed-in-boxes set of the plushies in the closet that contains her guilty girly pleasure collection of stuffed animals. "It kinda is... But you're fine as long as you don't croak.. okay I promise I'm done." Instead Alexis gives her Machamp an elbow nudge. "Better back up so Sarracenia's shopping doesn't get smashed."
Katt	Katt scowls at Alexis. Puns must not be her style. Especially when it's puns she can actually figure out. Katt rests her staff across her shoulders, pivoting her upper body left and then right to stretch out a little. She was not actually expecting Sarracenia to take her up on a fight instead of explaining, but she isn't precisely displeased. She grins big, showing slightly pointed teeth. "You're on! Just remember, I warned you." The hammer is a bit of a surprise (if only because of how heavy it looks) but Katt doesn't hesitate; she rushes forward immediately, reversing her staff to jab with the butt end toward Sarracenia's stomach and knock the air out of her. It's not gentle, because royalty or not, Katt doesn't believe in holding back all that much.
Sarracenia	Sarracenia brings her hammer up to block, but even still she is sent stumbling back from the hit. Then, the laughs with delight. "Yes, I did! Royal life can get so boring, you know~" she says as she twirls about a few times, then hees and grins again. "But, don't underestimate me just because I'm a princess!" she exclaims and comes spinning her way in like some kind of ballroom dancer...except that hammer is part of that spinning!
Katt	"Oh, I'm not underestimating you because you're a princess, I'm underestimating you because you're not me," Katt taunts. "C'mon, actually swing that thing like you mean it!" Of course, then Sarracenia actually does. The spinning swing comes in, and Katt jumps - but with the 'aid' of the costume, her jump takes her at a different angle than usual. She's too low, and the hammer clips her, so that instead of neatly jumping over it she kind of stumbles past it, smacked in the legs. The good news is that the costume vanishes as soon as she gets hit, the hood flying off somewhere and the rest just gone. The bad news is that Katt doesn't immediately notice this, even as her tail floofs back out instead of being trapped against her back under the costume. Katt somersaults on landing, springs back up and goes in with a fast flurry of strikes, spinning her staff to attack with both ends of it one after another. "Didn't even feel it!" she lies.
Sarracenia	One thing about using a giant weapon is that no matter your grace in attacking your ability to dodge incoming attacks is quite reduced. So while Sarra tries to use her dancing to avoid Katt's attack...it doesn't help her much and she is pummelled by that staff. The princess once again stumbles back, then huffs and giggles. "No? Well, that is a shame." she says, not pointing out that the frog suit is gone. After all, she hasn't had a good fight in ages! Sarra continues spinning, but this time instead of trying to deliver a series of blows she spins her way into a leap and brings her hammer down with more force! "Perhaps you will feel this one!" she exclaims.
Alexis	And off to the side Alexis and her pokemon have just been watching the two go back and forth. While sipping on a smoothie she got from one of the shops in the meantime. Occassionally the pile of purchases will teeter as Atlas turns his body to be able to see, but with four sets of hands to hold onto everything it's not hard for him to brace anything that slides loose before it becomes a disaster. As long as the fight stays out there in the street. "Didn't take much of a reason for those two to go at it."
Katt	The hammer swings down, down - Katt isn't quite there to be hit by it, but it's again a glancing blow; when it slams into the street and kicks up rocks from the impact, it's the rocks that catch her, bowling her over to land on her back for a moment with a thump. Katt vaults back to her feet pretty quickly, but not as smoothly as she did before. She's not beaten, but that hammer has one hell of an impact and she's learning to be careful of it. "Well, not if you can't hit me with it," is her response, but it's not like Sarracenia needs to hit her directly with it, really. Katt does like having an audience though. She poses, staff over one shoulder, as she makes a come-on gesture to Sarracenia. Is she giving her a free shot? Hardly. Though she's hoping Sarracenia gets off-balance to swing at her, Katt is going to use her speed to advantage; she leaps, getting one foot on Atlas' pile of boxes (sorry Atlas) to change her angle and end up behind Sarracenia, swinging with a two-handed powerful blow!
Sarracenia	Sarra can't help but smirk lightly at the pose. While she doesn't believe someone would just give her a free shot like that, she isn't about to ignore such an invitation. She dashes forward, only to be flanked by the cat and hit hard from behind. This hit actually sends Sarracenia crashing forward onto the ground and it takes her a few moments to actually get back to her feet. She mmphs, clearly annoyed now. "Okay, even if I did ask for it..." she says as she gets back up. "...I am going to have to put in a bit more effort after that!" she says. She holds her hammer in front of her and a prismatic glow starts to surround her, flowing out from the hammer. Her frown turns back to a smirk. "Let's see how strong you really are!" she exclaims as her hair and clothing start to float and flutter like she is immersed in water. "It's Hammer Time!" she exclaims, then seems to be possessed by the hammer itself! The princess rushes at Katt, hammering up and down like a demon, causing an impact wave and leaving small craters each time she swings downward. This frenzy lasts for quite a while, around 30 seconds or so.
Katt	Katt was fighting pretty strictly physically (not because she was holding back; that's just how she fights), and so was Sarracenia, so Sarracenia then deciding to do some kind of magic trick with her hammer catches her by surprise. That's a good trick. Katt leaps backwards, down the street, but one of the impact waves from the hammer slamming into the roadway causes her to stumble. It's not for very long but it's for long enough; Katt manages to deflect a couple blows, but her staff bends alarmingly whenever she tries, and eventually Sarracenia gets right through. Rolling out of what amounts to a dust cloud, Katt decides to stay down for a moment. "Okay," she says, breathing hard and trying to get a little less dizzy so she can stand up. "That's enough for today." A few moments later, and she does sit up, then: "Hey, the costume's gone!"
Alexis	Alexis can't help but chuckle a bit good-naturedly at Kat's realization. "Yeah. That's how they work, one hit and they poof -- gone." She spreads her hands and wiggles fingers to mimic the disappearance. "But you two were so into the fight that you didn't notice." Then picks up her smoothie and resumes slurping from it.
Sarracenia	The hammer frenzy fades and Sarracenia returns to normal, then she giggles and bounces in place a few times. "Yes! I win!" she exclaims happily, then practically bounces her way over to Katt and smiles. "Yes, the costume is actually destroyed as soon as you are harmed in some way. Well, physically harmed anyway." she says as she offers a hand up if Katt isn't already up. "I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the prank, but I hope you had fun during our fight at least?" the princess offers with a smile, then looks to Alexis and huffs. "I wanted to tell her first!" she pouts playfully.
Katt	Katt doesn't take the hand up - she's got a perfectly good staff to push herself up with, and Sarra didn't quite break it when she was smashing wildly with the hammer. It will still hold her weight. "Either one of you could have just said," Katt says, grumpy with both Alexis and Sarracenia now. "I don't make a very good frog. I'm a woren! I'm already tired of people calling me a cat - yes, I know what my nickname is - and now I get stuck with a frog costume?" She pauses for a moment, then admits, "It was a good fight though. I'll have to do it again sometime. When I don't have to start stuck in the costume."
Alexis	"If she had just told you, it wouldn't of been as good of a joke," Alexis replies. Slips straw. Cup makes the recognizable sucking on empty sound. "Or been so willing to fight a proper fight. Where's the fun in just getting bonked to remove it, am I right?" The empty cup is tossed in a trash can. Got to keep the streets of the kingdom tidy! "But that looked like a wicked fight. Bet you're hungry. Maybe she can make it up to you by buying lunch."
Sarracenia	Sarracenia puts the offered hand back on her hammer once it is clear that it will not be taken, then somehow slides the hammer back into her purse. "A woren? That's not a very cat-ish name." she says, then oohs and nods to Alexis. "Yes! If you are hungry or thirsty then we can visit one of my favorite restaurants in town!" Sarracenia says excitedly. She certainly seems to hold no ill-will toward Katt, and seems to think that a fun fight means they must be friends of some kind now. "And don't sell yourself short! You made a lovely frog! And it was impressive how you didn't even stand on all fours! The suit works pretty hard to make you look more froggish."
Katt	"Hnf," is Katt's response to Alexis. She doesn't much like jokes that she's the butt of, but now she's just trying to figure out how to get Sarracenia back. (Probably not Alexis though. She hasn't done anything worth it. Except the puns, which were real bad.) Katt, like Sarracenia, is perfectly happy to make friends of the people she fights. Probably more so. "What, really? Well, okay - but if you pull any tricks with THAT I'm definitely not going to like it." Her eyes narrow - and then she laughs. "I wasn't going to sit like that even with the frog costume. Not if I could help it!" Katt does not say that she was really working not to... but she was really working not to. Hence all the jumps; they made it easier.
