Jonothon Starsmore "GAAAAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!"

That is the sound of a very happy Shinki. Specifically a Gabrine. Which makes sense because sitting on the shoulder of a man exiting the Shinki shop here in Techno Urbania is exactly that-- a very happy MMS Type Hellhound Gabrine. She's holding a large hammer with a spearlike end and a head that seems to almost have a face on it. She's actually not just holding it. She's hugging it.

The Gabrine is sitting on the shoulder of a man who dresses in black similar to how she's painted. The man is wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and a longcoat. And his neck and the bottom of his face is wrapped up too. It's a little hard to tell, but he looks at the Gabrine on his shoulder with a smile in his eyes. "I thought yer might like that. Yer needed a new one anyway. An' I made sure ter buy the missiles too."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako is just wandering around the Multiverse as usual. In search of water? Maybe a little. But mostly just wandering. She does stick out quite a bit wandering around here in Techno Urbania, though!

The very loud GAO does attract her attention, though. She inclines her head to the side gently and looks over in the direction where it came from. "Ah." Ayako makes her way over to Jonothan and waves hello cheerfully. "Hello Jono and very happy person with a hammer!" She giggles softly.
Jonothon Starsmore Hearing his name called, Jono looks up. He offers a friendly wave in Ayako's direction. It's a moment before he remembers she can't actually hear him. So he fiddles with his radio for a moment. And then he offers in her direction via his radio, "Hello. Didn't expect ter see yer out this way."

The tiny girl on his shoulder (Shinki are about 6 inches tall so this shoulder-sitting is easily possible) looks as Ayako and blinks. The hammer glows and then disappears into thin air. She lifts off from his shoulder in a hover and then approaches Ayako. "Hi!" she offers pleasantly. And rather exuberantly. Though there is a rough tone to her speech. Not in the sense that she's rude but in the sense that she's rather informal. "I'm Gabby! Who're you?"
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako nods her head slowly and slowly smiles at Jonothon, "Not exactly my style of place but... there's so much to see in the Multiverse, I couldn't help myself." She giggles softly. "So much to see, I could probably take years to see it all!"

She looks to the shinki and waves hello cheerfully at the 'hi!'. "Ah. Nice to meet you, Gabby! I'm Ayako Hasekawa, a water spirit. Please call me Ayako." Her eyes curiously watch the shinki.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono nods and agrees with the sentiment, "Yeah, I've stopped tryin' ter see it all." There's a bit of wryness in his voice though it's the humorous kind. At the Shinki's effusiveness he raises a hand and rubs at the back of his head. "Ah. She's actually why I came out here."

Picking it up there Gabby pipes up, "Aibou bought me a new hammer! I broke the missile bay of my other one when I hit something too hard with it. The door came off!" Hammers with missile bays?

A nod from Jono. "Yeah. It's counterproductive ter leave 'er without one of 'er main weapons."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako giggles brightly, "Well, I'm certainly going to try to see it all!" She looks up at the shinki and smiles brightly. "Isn't that great, Gabby? Hope you're careful with it." Her head nods slowly, "So where was Gabby when you were at the mall, Jono? Floating around store browsing too?"
Jonothon Starsmore Jono nods. "She found a store with RC cars not too far from where that music store was, and wanted ter play for a while. Jubilee was with 'er." He says the last with a bit of chagrin.

"But Jubilee's fun!" Gabby replies immediately.

"An' if yer listen ter any plans from 'er, you're likely ter get in serious trouble," Jono notes. His voice is amused though.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako giggles brightly and shakes her head. "RC cars, huh? So she was riding one while someone else controlled it?" Her head inclines to the side gently, "Jubilee? Another person?"
Jonothon Starsmore "Yeah. Jubilee is a friend 'o mine," Jono replies. Pause. "Of ours, rather." Indicating himself and Gabby. "She lives at the... boardin' school I live at."

Gabby suddenly enthuses, "OH! That place! It's so cool! There are all these people with powers and--!" She has to stop there because Jono quickly grabs her out of the air and puts a finger over her mouth.

"Oi. That's supposed ter be a secret," he says, releasing her.

Gabby gasps, "Oops! I'm sorry, Aibou!"

"It's not so bad 'ere in the Multiverse propa' but don't do that when you're in my world, 'ey?" Jono reminds her. Looking back to Ayako with a chagrinned look. "...So. Yeah. Jubilee was drivin' the RC car. Said somethin' about gettin' it as a 'party wagon'."
Ayako Hasekawa     "She sounds..." Ayako pauses for a moment as she thinks of the right word, "Jubilant?" She giggles softly and shakes her head. "Eehh... a boarding school, huh." Her eyes blink quickly when she hears about 'people with powers' and then she nods her head once. "A-ahh... it's that kind of place, huh. It sounds like an interesting place to live." She giggles softly and then stops abruptly.

"A-hmm... I take it... some people in your world are... sensitive about people with... additional effects?" Ayako's gaze goes off to the side for a moment awkwardly, and then brightens. "Hee... a party wagon."
Jonothon Starsmore Jono winces a little. "Y-yeah. Let's jus' say the social climate's not exactly real friendly to people who're different." As if sensing something 'off' in his mood Gabby returns to his shoulder to sit down. She pats him on the face-wrappings under his ear. "I know they're just scared. Yer know how people get when they don't understand somethin'. They don't understand it so they're afraid of it. They're afraid of it so they hate it. They hate it so they attack it. Yer probably know how it is."

"Meanies, that's what they are!" Gabby decides. "You're people too!"

"Give it time, luv," Jono replies. "I probably won't see it but it'll stop someday."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako thinks to herself as she listens quietly. "I see... if I visit your world I'd better be careful too... I mean... I might look human, but... I'm... well... really really far from it." She sighs softly, "I know how that business goes..."
Jonothon Starsmore Jono nods. "If you're not normal it might be a good idea ter be careful," he agrees. "'Specially if your face is on fire." Gabby giggles at the comment. That comment sounded very suspiciously specific. Obviously Ayako's face isn't on fire. But Jono's face is all wrapped up! ...Hmm...
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako inclines her head to the side gently. "Umm... your face is on fire?" She looks at Jono's face... then at Gabby's face. "Your faces seem fine to me. If they are on fire, you're hiding it well!" She giggles softly.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono looks to Gabby for a moment. There might be some kind of silent exchange going on there. It's hard to tell. But after a moment Jono brings his hand up and raises it to the wrappings at his face. He pulls on the wrapping just a bit... and a tiny reddish-orange flame escapes. It produces light but not a single bit of heat. It also doesn't burn the wrappings.

In response Gabby starts to sing a modified version of a particular song regarding a young person on fire. 'Modified' means of course she has replaced 'girl' with 'boy' and replaced all female pronouns with male. Jono doesn't let it go on too long though. He fixes his wrappings to hide the flame again and sends a look at the Shinki. "...Stop that."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako blinks her eyes as she watches the two exchange glances... and then curiously watches Jono bring his hand to his face. As he pulls on the wrapping just a bit, her eyes widen and then she claps her hands together softly twice. "Oohh... I see, I see." Her gaze goes to Gabby and she shakes her head slowly and giggles softly. "Well... since you showed me that..." She pauses for just a moment... as if considering something... and then nods her head once. "Oh, I know! The handshake always works!"

She cheerfully offers her hand towards Jonothon in a normal handshake. If he takes her hand, it feels like a normal human girl's hand. The skin is smooth and soft, with the slight resistance of the muscles underneath with the firmer resistance of the bones within. Her hand seems to be a normal temperature as well.
Jonothon Starsmore Gabby seems to be giggling about the song too. "I'm sorry, Aibou! But I had to!" Jono shakes his head and gives a gesture of his shoulders that might indicate a sigh. When he looks at Ayako he tilts his head a little. But yes, he accepts the handshake. Her hand may seem normal but his doesn't. Not completely anyway. His temperature is much cooler than a human's, by at least ten degrees. But his hand's not clammy since he doesn't sweat.
Ayako Hasekawa     "Oh oh, you're a bit cooler." Ayako giggles softly and then shakes her head. "But anyway! I like doing this because it's a very direct way to show people that I'm not a human. Like... this!" Her hand, solid one moment, instantaneously turns into cool water-still in the shape of her hand. A bright giggle follows.
Jonothon Starsmore "Whoa." Jono doesn't seem to be afraid of her though and doesn't do anything like jerk his own hand back. "Hydrokinesis?" he inquires. He's not familiar with what she is enough to be able to tell.

Gabby stays on the shoulder though. She's mechanical so water is kind of a scary thing for her! Still she's watching with interest.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako smiles cheerfully, "Yup! Well, that and water magic." She withdraws her hand through Jono's hand and reforms her human hand slowly. "Although... I'm a water spirit." Her head nods once. "Everything you see about me... is water acting like something else! My clothing too." She giggles softly and nods her head once. "I think of myself as something as a water artist."
Jonothon Starsmore "Oh, I see," Jono replies. His tone indicates that he's quiet interested in all this! It's likely there's something like this that happens with new powered individuals in his world when they join that boarding school. Like kids at a high school comparing backpacks or shoes. Sort of. Though he seems a little confused. "'Water artist'?" he inquires.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako nods her head and smiles brightly, "Un. A water artist!" She gestures at herself. "Making a body and clothing like this is actually really hard. And I'm really proud of how well I can pass as a human. As well as how well I can make water imitate other things!" She positively beams!
Jonothon Starsmore Jono tilts his head back into a nod. "So it's not just the water that makes up your own body yer can affect?" he asks. That would be a useful skill. "They pay a lot in Las Vegas for machines that can make jets 'o water dance. If you're ever lookin' for work, yer might could look at that."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako nods her head once. "Un. If it's water, I can affect it." Once Jono talks about water jets in Vegas she giggles brightly. "Oh yes, I can make water shows pretty easily! But... I perfer using water magic to heal people rather than anything else. I... I don't like-won't use it to hurt people." Her gaze goes off to the side for a moment... and then she nods her head once.
Jonothon Starsmore "Healin'? That sounds handy, too," Jono notes. He also notices her looking off to the side. Quietly he notes, "Yeah. I'd... rather not 'ave ter use me powers ter 'urt people either. But if they try ter hurt people what 'as no business bein' hurt... I 'ave no choice." Notably he didn't say himself or people who shouldn't be hurt. Just people who shouldn't be hurt.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako slowly shakes her head. "A-anyway! If you ever get hurt, feel free to ask me to heal you! I don't mind." She glances up at Gabby. "Umm... if you can heal on your own... then the offer applies to you too, Gabby!" She smiles a bright, cheerful smile.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono looks a little embarrassed. But he nods. "Thank yer. I'll keep yer in mind."

Gabby for her part, shakes her head. "Nope! I can't heal like a human can! I have to be repaired when I break something," she replies. "Bit of a pain, but Aibou's pretty good with it! And there's a couple other people at the boarding school that are good with machines too. OH!" She flails. "That reminds me! Aibou! Angelo threatened to paint me pink!" Jono just facepalms with what remains of his face.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako nods her head once and then looks back to Gabby. "Aww... I can only heal machine things that can heal themselves." She sighs softly, "Sorry, Gabby." And then giggles softly at the pink paint threat.
Jonothon Starsmore "That's okay!" Gabby replies. Perhaps she senses that Ayako likes helping people since she adds, "You'll still help a lot of people I bet!"

Jono nods. "It's good ter see that you'll volunteer ter 'elp." As for the pink paint? "...Angelo maintains she's a doll--"

Gabby interrupts, "Which I'm NOT!"

Jono continues, "--And 'as kinda been teasin' me a little about playin' with dolls."
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako smiles gently. "Hmm... I hope I will be of help, at least." She blinks her eyes quickly when Gabby is referred to as a 'doll' from one of Jono's acquaintences. "A... A doll?" She shakes her head slowly, "Dolls don't float and talk. Nor do they love when you buy them a new weapon." A bright giggle escapes from her lips. "So boo to them."
Jonothon Starsmore "Nope!" Gabby stands triumphantly on Jono's shoulder and points into the distance. She's not pointing at anything in particular though. She's just doing her best impression of a hot-blooded shounen hero. "I'm a Busou Shinki!"

Jono explains a little better, "I think it means 'armored war goddess' or somethin'. The world they come from 'as 'em as companions to humans. They're all girls though. So I kinda see where Angelo's gettin' mixed up. 'Course 'e's probably also just givin' me a hard time." There's a fond note in his voice though. He's talking about a friend.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako giggles brightly at the pose Gabby does. "Oh oh, nice pose! Just like a hero on television!" She looks back to Jonothon. "A-ahh... I see." She smiles softly, "Both you and Gabby seem to like each other well enough!" And then giggles softly at the 'givin' me a hard time' and the fond tone of voice.
Jonothon Starsmore Jono shakes his head at Gabby but a quiet chuckle emits from his radio. "It's almost funny. But I guess that's what they're made for... bein' companions," he remarks.

"Aibou! Can I shoot things in the basement?" Gabby speaks up, bouncing excitedly.

"I'll 'ave ter see," Jono notes. "Trainin' room might be in use." Looking to Ayako, "Well... was good ter see yer again. But I need ter see if I can schedule some time for Gabby ter try out 'er new weapon." He offers what's probably a smile though seen only in his eyes.
Ayako Hasekawa     Ayako nods her head slowly. "Hmm...? Maybe I'll try to befriend one someday?" She giggles softly, "Although, probably not. I'd probably make a pretty bad companion." Her gaze becomes amused when Gabby mentions shooting things in the basement. "Hee... shooting things in the basement... Ah!" She nods her head once and waves goodbye cheerfully to them both. "Hope to see you again sometime, Jonothan! And I hope you have fun too, Gabby!"
