Kirishima In the recent years, big cities becoming hotbeds of criminal activity are a dime a dozen. Metro City is the latest one to get caught up in a storm of violence and danger, but it's still a popular enough tourist destination anyway thanks to all the fancy restaurants, live shows, and even highly televised fights going on at all times of night.

Today, like any other crime-filled day, is in the midst of yet more violence. It's just not happening through direct assaults on the populace by the ruling class and their cronies for once. Instead...

This time, the violence is coming from one of the city's own residents. A man in a tight-fitting white t-shirt with bulging muscles, dirty blonde hair, a jaw not unlike a trench spade, and slightly-worn jeans is the culprit, advancing through a sea-facing boardwalk and beating the everloving shit out of everyone in his path. Thugs in orange vests, punks in yellow rain jackets, and bandana-wearing denim guys are all given the same violent treatment, and others start gathering from behind him, ready to attack him when his back is turned.

Coming in from the other side of his one-man rampage is an everyday office worker, clad in a purplish gray pencil skirt and mid-sleeve jacket combo with thick glasses and a briefcase visibly straining from being packed full of stuff. If not for her vibrant and almost grape-like purple hair, Kirishima might very well blend in with the background characters watching the fighting going on from the safety of their cars or the upper floors of their buildings.

She certainly looks the part of an unaware worker, though, as she is unfortunately headed straight towards that storm of violence while rounding the corner. It doesn't seem that she notices that she's about to walk right smack dab into that flurry of fists!
Miyamomo     Did you know that boardwalks sell delicious(?) food? It's true, as Miyamomo has found out. She has corndogs drowning in ketchup and mustard between each finger and is going to town on them in a way that makes the violence as perpetrated by the square-jawed man in the white shirt seem tame.

Speaking of said man, Miyamomo blends into the scrolling background as she watches him go at it. Licking a blob of mingled sauces from her thumb, she starts murmuring to herself. "Impressive physique, though his strikes seem self-taught, no discipline, just righteous fury..." Polishing off her last dog, she steps out and pulls up three steps behind the man, smiling mysteriously.

"Good day sir~ I was just wondering what these men did to deserve such a thorough trouncing. If I like your reasons, perhaps I'll join you on this quest. I am, apparently, a peacekeeper of sorts, so..." The gleam in her eye and curling and uncurling of her hands betrays that she'd just like to hit things for a bit and is looking for any excuse.
Go Shijima      "Oh, gosh."

Peering at the chaos on the boardwalk, Go, dressed in a white denim jacket, red tee and khaki pants, slurps on a soda. Tossing it away with the remains of a funnel cake, he wipes his hands. "That looks like Kirishima..." Go hurries to catch up, having simply visited for the place's reputation--surely, the abundance of people looking for fights means that he can get some practice here, right? Rather than suit up, he charges in, vaulting over benches and trash cans, running across railings, making nimble frontlfips over anyone in the way, sneakers impacting heads and shoulders to do so when necessary. "Hey!"

Landing just clear of a crowd, Go waves in an attempt to get Kirishima's attention. "Hey, look out," he warns. Of course, now that he's in the thick of things, his approach probably drew a few eyes. Unsuited, Go is still an incredibly gifted martial artist. Always in motion, either on the ground or jumping, always looking for openings to channel that motion into swiftly flowing haymakers or agile, twisting kicks. To strike Go is to invite a counterattack, his body shifting with strikes to turn his enemies' strength against them.
Xion "Metro City..."
Xion holds up a pamphlet, gloriously showing the length and width of the boardwalk. Friendly faces smile at each other, and dudes in tight shirts stand, arm in arm, and dance happily in the streets while not offending pretty ladies in short skirts that wander along the background.

No police are in the promotional material, because police will never help you.

"Do you think that, because it's a 'metro' city, there'll be cars and races?" Xion asks Go, turning her head to see... Background goons? Clanging pipes on the ground? Looking menacingly at a local Tight Shirt hunk?

Dropping her postcard of picturesque Metro City to reveal the bedlam before her, Xion sighs deeply, wiping her face with her hands and groaning. "There's not gonna be a cool race at all, is there? We're just gonna beat up guys, aren't we? Go!"

Xion calls loudly, hands cupped to her mouth. "Who's a Kirishima?!" While Go leaps into the center of a gang of thugs. "And why are you jumping into a pile of guys? They look like they're just going about their business! Do you know them? There's a lot more than three punks! Is this a three punks convention?"

She just keeps talking, loudly, at the periphery of the Beatass Convention on the Boardwalk.
Kirishima The punching man stops in his punches when he hears Miyamomo from behind him, stopping his turn-and-punch reflex just soon enough. "Uh?  You with the Mad Gears, too?" He asks, sounding very much the stereotypical meathead circa 199x while keeping his guard up, watching her hands and likely noticing that shared desire to punch the crap out of people. "Nah... They don't got anyone like you with 'em. They kidnapped-"

As luck would have it, hearing Go calling out to her saves Kirishima from a cliche corner collision that would be completely wrong since she doesn't even have bread in her mouth. "Eh? Mister Shijima? What's..." Apparently, she didn't notice a single thing until now, but she does twist sideways just in time for one of those punks to get tossed right past her. Some of them try to come at him from behind, but their skill level is clearly not to snuff, with their only potential advantage being the numbers game.

"What the... You one of Guy's friends?" The punchman asks before grunting as another person takes a shot at him from behind, quickly resulting in a collar grab, repeated punches to the face, and hurling him into a wall. Indeed, he would fit right in with the Tight Shirt Hunk Collective, complete with brushing his hair back to get the sweat out of his hot man face right around when he notices Xion yelling something weird sounding in Japanese.

"Where the heck are all o' you coming from? You a Keurig... Shima?" He asks while looking between Xion and Go, apparently conflating 'Japanese' with 'sick ninja flips'. Kirishima raises her hand to clarify that, then proceeds to join in the punch fiesta herself with more boxing-style footwork rather than anything remotely flippy. There are indeed some pipe-wielders coming towards Xion, apparently intent to just get anyone and everyone into the brawl at this point.

He only finds himself becoming more confused, and it all comes to boil when he lets out the most unga of frustrated yells before grabbing yet another (distracted) dude and hurling him into the sea whole. "The name's Cody. The Mad Gears took my girl, and I'm gonna rip this town apart to find her if I got to! You comin' or not?"

He doesn't actually wait for a response. He just starts moving again, seemingly intent on moving away from the path of bodies being left behind as his only real sign of progress. Kirishima, meanwhile, sucks in air through her teeth as she struggles with something.

"To be driven to such lengths entirely by pure love... Someone has to bring the culprits to justice!" Kirishima announces, breaking into a run to join Cody on the punchquest. The boardwalk is still pretty long, and there appears to be some kind of wrestling ring further up ahead. Naturally...

There's even more people to beat up on the way there. Some of them even have knives, and many of them are gathered around conspicuously ever-burning barrels.
Go Shijima      "She's a co-worker," Go calls back. "Kirishima, Xion! Xion, Kirishima! No cool races or cars! Beatingupsorry!" He appends, spoken rapidly enough to skirt on the edge of understandability.

So the postcard was a little... optimistic. Maybe there *is* a three punks convention...

"We can see cool cars and races later! Let's help Kirishima--and that guy in the ripped jeans!" ... "Cody! They kidnapped his girl, Xion!"

Falling in, he makes a somersault to clear a crowd, hands twisting in midair to deflect swung pipes, daggers and grasping hands. Landing with a creak of boards next to Xion, he fights back to back with her, bringing out the Zenrin Shooter.

The wheel-affixed energy pistol bludgeons with centrifugally-boosted swings well suited to the fluid Smoke style, trading places with Xion through high-flying backflip escapes or graceful sidesteps, his every motion feeding into an attack or parry.

"Don't worry, Cody," calls Go, mid-fight. "We're really good at finding missing people!" After juking a thrown knife, Go feathers the trigger, still untransformed. "What do you know about the Mad Gears? Do you have any personal enemies that are a part of the gang?"
Miyamomo     A kidnapping of his lady love?! Miyamomo gasps in shock. He's like some kind of hero from the romantic epics! "My goodness, a great cause indeed. Very well Sir Cody, you have my aid in this endeavour! The 'Mad Gears' will not know what hit them!"

Only now does she realize there are others here. "Ah, Shijima~ I'll be looking forward to seeing how much you've improved in using Smoke today!" Xion she recognizes as 'the girl always around Lilian' and she receives a light hair tousling from the kitsune. Kirishima is a new face, but she understands the importance of this pure motivator, and Miyamomo clenches her fist and nods. "Indeed, young love must be preserved at all costs!"

The punks approach from the right, and Miyamomo vanishes in the flash, the boardwalk underfoot creaking ominously from her explosive movements. Those with weapons become her priority, their wrists and arms twisted or pressure points jabbed to cause intense numbness. No matter the method, the outcome is the weapons clattering to the floor, at which point she punts them powerfully into the ocean. "Let's try to keep it fair, hm~? You have numbers on your side after all~"

And then she viciously pummels them until they stop moving.
Xion "I came from a dark and white place in the basement, and before that, from nowhere. So, actually, like pretty much everyone here! Unless masked guys in jumpsuits just sort of appear fully formed in closets on this world!"

Xion chipperly weaves back and forth from the 'sidelines', idle looping around the scuffleabout really just on the side of a beatdown featuring two dudes in white, and an iconic cameo characer just off to the other side with corndogs held in her teeth like a ferocious animal.

'Dang.' Xion mouths, and then continues verbally as she crouch-squats down under a wild swing from another bat-wielding un-gentle-man and considers. "She can kill a corndog."

Rising into an unexpected headpat, Xion stands confused and rosy-cheeked smiling as every pipe-wielding idiot in a multimeter radius around her is, without her lifting a finger, disarmed and beatassed like someone pressed fast forward on a kung fu movie and zipped through the whole courtyard fight scene in a flash. With her fuzzled bangs settling around her head, Xion blinks. "Oh!"

Stepping over a guy who received more pummeling hits with a ginger step and transitioning into a boot-to-the-head of a second, Xion lifts her arms and hopscotches around the heaps of punks in the wake of Cody and follows along.

"Are they in a big locked building? Maybe a high tower? Don't worry! I've got a key! And..." She glances at Go, while he switches to a -gun- against -punks. "Is that the smoke? I've seen that before. We're saving Cody's girl, Go, not -massacre-'ing them."

Xion smiles while Miyamomo ultraviolences someone in profile. "Guns are for, like, dudes with -knives- and stuff. These are just -pipe- punks. Use reasonable force!"

Miyamomo is still in frame, past Xion. The dude is different, but the beatdown is the same.
Kirishima "Oh! Good evening, Miss Xion. It's nice to meet you." Kirishima shifts from landing a flurry of blows on someone to polite office greetings on a dime, even going as far as reaching into her pocket like she's about to whip out a business card or something. She does, but not until after whipping out a pen and hurling it hard enough into another punk's hand to keep him pinned to a wall.

It's a cheap business card, like the sort you would buy online just to get your parents to shut up about getting business cards in bulk. It also has the name 'Haruna Nanahara' on it for some reason. She's an editor on the side, apparently!

Cody, meanwhile, continues his single-minded rampage down the boardwalk with little holding him back beyond just trying to get to that ring faster. Go's questions do slow him down visibly, though, as he has to actually sotp and think about that. "The Mad Gears? They're some gang that rolled in a few months back. Kept giving the cops the slip, so nobody's ever tried gunnin' for 'em. The cops ain't gonna help, either, 'cause they don't know anything about anyone."

He clenches his fist in visible manrage, pausing again to watch as Go's shots take out the knife-thrower in question and cause a drop from the rooftop onto a convenient awning that bounces him onto the roof of a car. "I don't know nobody in there, either, but they took my Jessica, and they're gonna pay!"

More of those punks keep coming out of the woodwork to accost Xion, and they can't come close to figuring out what's happening when their weapons go flying out of their hands and they're just faceplanted into the dirt. Cody even looks confused when she sees her hopping along, shrugging once before grimacing in irritation. "I dunno... They grabbed her while she was out at some bigwig fundraiser. I didn't even find out until the mayor called up."

Miyamomo's interest in protecting the purity of their young love is shared with the grape-headed office worker, getting a firm nod from Kirishima as she brings out more pens with one hand. Miyamomo's powerful steps creak the boardwalk and cause some unlucky gangsters to plummet into the sea from trying to chase after her, although they might very well be the lucky ones compared to the ones she personally incapacitates even without dumping them into the sea.

It's not for a lack of trying to land hits on her or everyone else, though, but a massive gulf in ability.

"Considering their training, I don't know how fair this even is." Kirishima comments trying to find an opportunity to introduce herself, but ends up having to save that for later. "That ring up ahead might have someone nearby that can answer some questions, at least, so it may be helpful not to completely decimate them before then."

The ring in question already has several punks trying to bring down a big wrestler-looking dude in a spotted pink leotard with wild hair. He shakes the ring with each step, and he bellows out with even more ungaforce than Cody did, clearly seeking challengers while a cleaner-looking guy in a beige vest and pants with a red beret squats atop one of the ring posts.

Red Beret spots the Elites, and he gestures at the ring. A challenge, perhaps?
Go Shijima      "I'm looking forward to it, Master Miyamomo," says Go enthusiastically, giving her a fervent thumbs-up amidst the fray.

He is, however, very insistent with Xion that he is "Not massacre... ing! I'm just turning the force of their blows against them!"

Of course... if they attack at twice their normal strength, that could be a problem...!

"It's completely unfair," Go agrees with Kirishima. "But you can't go around kidnapping people, either. That's the definition of unfair!" Fighting his way up to the ring, Go pulls his punches with the rank-and-file thugs.

The gang's been able to operate for months without successful interference.

"Have they been known to take other people?" It's the next rational question that comes to mind--it's either business as usual, a crime of opportunity, or something pre-meditated, any of which are useful information.

The moment he's in jumping distance, Go naturally makes a leaping flip to land on the turnstyle opposite the man in the beret. Pointing dramatically, he returns the challenge. "We'll take you on--you and that wrestler both, if you want! But after, you're going to answer our questions!"

Go makes a backflip, feet landing squarely in the ring. The Zenrin Shooter is tucked away as he turns to face the relatively more clean-cut man, his feet spread apart and his fists raised.
Miyamomo     "Not true!" Miyamomo says to Kirishima when she says this doesn't seem fair at all. "Any who pursue the martial arts must accept what comes! They will face those of far greater ability than they. What they do with that is up to them. Accept their loss and grow stronger or be disheartened and stop. Either of these are valid, but to complain about the 'fairness' of it is the path of the indecisive and the weak, those who only wish to lord strength over others."

After this sage advice, they arrive at the ring. Miyamomo doesn't need much prompting to leap clear over the ropes and stand in the middle. "I'll handle the large one~" she shouts to the others, looking to the wrestler and stretching for a moment. "Impressive physique sir~ What name do you go by? I'll try to remember it. How likely that is depends on your performance."
Xion "It's nice to meet you too!" Xion grins and bows and accepts a business card between man-beatdowns from Kirishima, turning over the card and inspecting it fully before pulling out a little chain-charm for a phone and handing it back like a business card - clenched delicately between adjacent thumbs and forefinger-knuckles. On one end is a little loop to attach to a case hook, and the other, an empty star in flattened wire, connected by a silver chain.

As she's rising, she looks at the guy who took a pen to the hand and winces.

"Looks like the pen is mightier than the pipe and two-by-four too, huh?"

However: There is a RING.
And someone(s) nearby!

"I like -- your leopard print!!" Xion shouts, cup-handed, ringside, excited. "We're looking for his girl! We're not here for Mad Elite Wrestling, though..." She considers the ungaforce differential. Go has the right idea -- literally.

So Xion just clambers into the ring, pointing a presenting finger with cocked thumb at Leopard Print and Standing At Attention.

"Even if your shout power's stronger -- when we combine our powers, we'll be..."

Miyamomo jumps into the middle of the ring while Xion counts. Go, herself, Cody, Miyamomo, and--

"F- oh, and Kirishima! "-ive times as strong!"
She recounts on her fingers. "Wait, is it actually four? Do you count yourself?"
Kirishima Luckily for the dudes getting shot by Go, their own blows are still largely on the human-side of the scale rather than being anywhere close to the power of a karate bugman in his karate bugman suit.

"Considering the kidnapping and Mister Cody's well-justified anger, getting out of this with only bruises and broken bones might be the best they can hope for." Kirishima replies to both Go and Miyamomo while sliding past another guy's punch to uppercut him right in the jaw and laying him out. "That's correct, Miss Miyamomo. If they're going to resort to kidnapping people, then it's no longer a matter of martial arts or honorable fighting. They'll be lucky to still be walking before the end of this!"

"Other kidnappings...? Yeah, probably. The mayor's been trackin' 'em all this time, but he can't do anythin' because she's his daughter." Cody answers Go with another hateful noise coming out of his throat, cracking his knuckles as the way to the wrestling ring finally clears up through that constant violence.

Kirishima gets a neat business card from Xion! She actually takes it with the right posture, too, even though her accent while speaking English is distinctly closer to a native New Yorker's style of speech.

The Elites and Cody gather in the ring, and the wrestler stares them down while the man in the red beret slides off the corner post. They exchange glances, and the red beret nods before turning to Go.

"You want answers, my friend? Sure, if you're still conscious. But you see, your friend there..." The red beret (Rolento) explains in an accent that almost sounds fake while gesturing at Cody with an extending baton that he slips out of his pocket. "We know your boy, and we're gonna have to be a little more unfair."

More of those thugs start to come out of the nearby bathroom, alleyways, and some even crawl up from underneath the boardwalk as if they were waiting there the whole time. "Just business, you see?"

The wrestler, meanwhile, lets out a snort as Miyamomo approaches him. She can see him cracking a slight, but goofy-looking grin when she compliments his physique, though. It widens a little more when Xion compliments his leopard print, too. "I'm... Hugo. Andore! You look strong... But I'm stronger!" He boasts while bringing his arms together in front of him to do some BIG FLEXING before posing in something that might almost look like a straight-standing dab if it wasn't also similar to a certain sausage-skinned wrestler's pose.

Rolento quickly shows that he's the speedier of the two as he starts darting around the ring, bouncing off the ropes to make his movements trickier to follow while whipping his rod back and forth at Go to try and deliver all sorts of dazing blows. Hugo, meanwhile, telegraphs his attacks by shouting before running forward with heavy ring-shaking stomps to try and just catch Miyamomo and Xion with his meaty arms swung at each side.

With the punks closing in on the ring, Kirishima and Cody both leap out to start beating the everloving crap out of them. Someone has to deal with the crowd clearing, after all, and it leaves those still in the ring with plenty of space to show their best stuff!
Miyamomo     "Hugo Andore. I am Miyamomo, master of the nameless style. Let us have a good match~" She takes a low stance with arms wide, very typical of wrestling. But Hugo seems to be more 'pro wrestling' than the traditional kind, given his barrelling forward with both arms outstretched. "Just like that, huh? I'm... disappointed."

She's beside him in an instant, bending low to grab his ankle mid-stride, right when he's putting it back down. She pulls forward and up, tugging all that weight and momentum away from the ring, making him topple. And she keeps pulling, bringing the added force of the fall skyward. It's not clear how it all works with his massive bulk and all, but the conclusion is that she's taken this giant of a man with one hand and sent him flying into the sky.

"Do you think you can handle it from here~?" she asks Xion, a little expectantly. Like she wants to see what the girl will do.
Go Shijima      They've been kidnapping a lot of "Okay. It's not great news, but... it's probably the best we could hope for, short of finding her around the next corner," Go advises Cody. "It means there's probably a place where she and everyone else are being kept--and if that's so, their attention'll be split just keeping track of everyone."

In the ring with Rolento, Go nods, eyes locked with his. "Sure, just business," he says coolly. "Xion, Master Miyamomo... have fun with Hugo!!" Go is plenty fast himself, even unsuited--when Rolento takes off, so does he. The two of them end up in an acrobatic, spectacular duel.

Rolento's baton rains down on Go, and at first, it seems like the advantage might be his. Go quickly adapts after a split lip, pivoting his body nimbly in midair to deliver a lightning-fast reprisal fueled by the channeled momentum of his opponent's blow. Passing on a death-defying game of midair chicken, Go's elbow pistons into Rolento, followed up with a rocketing back fist aimed at his chin.

Carried past the point of impact, Go springs from the opposite set of ropes, legs pushing off unevenly to add spin to his approach. Twirling through the air, he touches down on the mat, spinning into a dizzying uppercut, the momentum of which fuels a lateral flip, Go's foot crashing down to try and end the bout definitively.
Xion "What do you mean, unfair?" Xion asks, her finger rising as her confusion does. Easily bamboozled, she doesn't understand the challenge at turnbuckle. The whole squad is stanced up in the ring with Either Four Hundred Percent Or Five Times Normal Power, Depending On How You Think About It. And Cody just wants answers!

"Unfair?" Xion begins, having thought this would be as simple as complimenting a dabbing giant's leopard print, and unprepared for Maximum Rolento. Trying to follow his speedy movements while summoning a long pipe with L-bend tip to hand - the appropriate amount of force for the Three Punks Convention bosses.

Blocking a leaping kick from Rolento, she catches his baton to the head and staggers back, into the path of the charging Hugo Andore! Who is certainly stronger and bigger than her, and full of an Unga Power.

He is also one-handedly pitched skyward by a tremendous woosh of air and hair. Xion follows his path up and squint sinto the sky. "Oh gosh, you gave him some backspin."

Her chin drops and she smiles up at Miyamomo's expectant look. "Yeah! I think I can do this one--" Her smile turns to a flashy grin as she presents a red medallion with Rolento's evil smirking mug on it. "--with a trick I just borrowed."

Tossing away her pipe where it flickers and disappears, Xion reaches up and twangs a silvery line that appears in the air. From that vibrational line, an interconnected web of such tension-lines appear. Like a trap, sprung or prepared but certainly not there before, the whole area seems to support a maze of the lines, which Hugo falls into. Like spiderwebs or bola-wires, the ends collapse, yanking and stretching the big man in his enormosity in a great big grabby web of cables, all ended in bright twinkly stars of magic. Each twinkling rainbow star is a physical thing, and as Hugo puts his whole weight on the web, draws down the whole lot of them.

The whole event ends with Xion holding a pull-wire and Hugo suspended off the ground, caught and face-to-face with a load of colorful stars stuck to him. Each star, held by a pin, to a silvery line-end. Xion, next to Miyamomo, holds fast the lines, until she gives them a mighty yank - pulling free all the pins to a large grenade-like detonation.

Then, of course, Hugo falls to the ring.
Kirishima The high-speed duel between Go and Rolento looks considerably less one-sided to a casual observer at first. Rolento has considerable speed and the experience of someone that's used to fighting for survival and pulling out all the stops for even the slightest advantage, but his advantage is still hampered by the sheer fact that he's just a really skilled human/likely some kind of former military-adjacent guy rather than someone whose body has become accustomed to the sheer speed of being a Kamen Rider. He doesn't even get a chance to do anything with the grenades on his belt before Go's combo launches him upwards and back and forth several times, keeping him in the air just long enough for Go to deliver that final axe kick into his gut with a resounding slam of his back against the mat.

For all of Hugo's size, strength, and relative speed, he's still not expecting much from opponents that aren't nearly eight feet tall. That's why, when Miyamomo slips behind him, he's expecting to just sit back and let his weight do the rest. What he isn't expecting, though, is for his legs to get pulled out from under him. Instead of faceplanting, though, he gets yeeted into the air, and there's a moment when more observant eyes can see the shock on his face at being so high in the sky, likely for the first time in his life.

Xion can definitely see it when she catches him in her web. He thrashes as best he can in that web, trying to tear it apart with pure brute force, but that only manages to get himself trapped further in the mass of lines that he can't hope to comprehend. He might not even realize that there's an explosion when it happens from all the blood eventually rushing to his head, and he slams into the ground with enough force to collapse the entire ring.

By the time Rolento and Hugo are brought back down to solid ground (or as solid as an outdoor wrestling ring can be), Cody and Kirishima too are finished building their own little pile of bodies.  Their clothes are sufficiently battle damaged from being far less sturdy than the people wearing them, but they still look otherwise fine enough for having punched so many people during that double boss fight.

The opportunity to interrogate the pair (or probably just Rolento) presents itself, and Kirishima is doing what she can to keep Cody distracted long enough that the trio in the ring actually have a chance to ask things before Cody lets his temper get the best of him.
Miyamomo     "Oh my, how interesting~" Miyamomo says, clapping with soft delight as she watches Xion use Rolento's own moves against Hugo. "Yes yes, I can see why Lilian takes such interest in you now." She exhales happily. Good food, and some kind of fight today, she's riding high.

    ...

"Oh right! This was all for Sir Cody's lady love. Yes, yes." Having remembered the whole reason for all this, she approaches Rolento slowly, menacingly...

And then gunshots, explosions, fire! Mad Gear reinforcements are here! They attack the ring that drive off these damn do-gooders! Rolento is saved! One of the thugs helps the soldier to his feet and says, "The Boss wants to see you! You know the way, right? Let me hear you say it so I know you're not concussed."

None of this actually happens for anyone else, of course. It's all in Rolento's head. But his mouth is still working fine. His underling is making sure he's okay, so he better give the right answer to assauge any concerns!
Go Shijima      Rolento is down--but there's another thump. "Whoa!" Hugo crashes through the ring. "Geez," he says, leaping away to avoid toppling over. Once he's clear, he claps excitedly for Xion and Miyamomo. "Amazing!" he calls, from shattered ringside. "You guys are pros."

"Yeah," he says in agreement with Miyamomo. "It's just one of a lot of cool things about her," Go adds, wiping his split lip and smiling warmly at Xion.

He glances towards Miyamomo, then back towards Rolento, as his teacher glammers him. Turning so the gesture won't be seen by Rolento, he silently points at himself, then inclines his head towards one of the defeated henchmen.

Putting on a gruff, businesslike affectation, "...you know you're going to have to give a status report when we get back. Better start thinking about it now so you're ready when you get there. What are you going to say?"
Xion Xion is blushing and nodding at Miyamomo in the wreckage of the ring as she's praised, rubbing the side of her neck and nodding. A double dose of praising power is levelled on her. "Well, we kind of wrecked the place, so it's not a perfect win, but I'll take a clean one, yeah!"

'Oh, this is all for Sir Cody's lady love.'
Xion claps her hands to her cheeks, then pumps her fists. "Right! We're here to help-" The extra broad-chested Unga Cody, who wished to free his captured girlfriend. And Rolento had promised to help!!

Xion turns, and Miyamomo is already on him, menacing walking right up to him and going for the Full Bamboozle. Seeing as he had already said he'd explain things if they were still conscious: This was moral and fine. Plus, having touched Rolento's heart to take his power, Xion knew:

Rolento was an asshole.
Kirishima "She does?" Kirishima sounds almost a little too interested when Miyamomo mentions Lilian's interest in Xion. She catches herself and clears her throat, but it's too late to put the genie back in that box. Rolento doesn't notice it, at least, as he's too busy dealing with what he can only assume is a daring rescue by Mad Gear's reinforcements!

Never mind the fact that he and Hugo, presumably some of their best, were so soundly beaten. He just has to focus on getting the directions to his boys. "Ggh... Sure took you a while, didn't it? Whatever.. You made sure to put them all to the big sleep?" He asks, then groans while starting to mutter the directions in his mind-addled state. "Yeah, it's... No, not his place. He was bringing the girl to that factory downtown..."

Rolento starts giving out the directions, and it's actually a bit of a ways off. Definitely too far to get there by foot easily for anyone that can't run a mile a minute, but there's sure to be cars that can be rented or commandeered if need be. As far as Rolento can tell, though, he's getting an express trip there!

Also, Xion can already confirm he's an asshole even without touching his heart, but definitely after. He's ex-military AND a mercenary, and his bad Italian accent isn't even real.

Go's instructions, meanwhile, have Rolento growling in irritation. "Yeah, yeah... What else do we need to say? We've got Elites from outside on our asses now, so we need to hurry up with his collection project or whatever it is he's working on. Weird old asshole..." He mutters, then (in his head) gestures threateningly at the not-Go henchman. "That's not going in the report."

With the next destination identified, Cody's already started looking for vehicles to commandeer while looking even more confused and especially more angry than before. "If their boss is some creepy old dude... Oh, he's gonna regret messin' with me!"

Kirishima's doing what she can to try and calm him down, at least. That just leaves Hugo, still staring up at the sky. He's actually conscious, but there's an almost starstruck look as he turns his head slowly to Miyamomo and Xion with a somewhat painful grinding sound from his hair on the mat. "So small, but... So strong. How? Show me how you got stronger."

He pauses, letting some of the gears in his head turn a bit more.

"Take me with you. I must see." It seems they might have a new fan.
Miyamomo     "Right, the factory. Good to know you still got your head on straight." The validation from the thug feels good, definitely not because Miyamomo is slamming his dopamine reward pathway like it's one of the earlier thugs, no not at all.

She leaves him in that condition for everyone else to grill him as she climbs out of the ring and wanders over to Hugo. "The giant yet lives! That's some impressive constitution young man." He asks, and Miyamomo smiles mysteriously. "Training, dear boy. For a thousand years, training. You are young yet. You have bulked your body, but the muscles yet weight you down. The path of Earth is open to you, but if you instead wish to pursue Iron..."

He asks to come with them. Miyamomo smiles and offers her hand. "You must do precisely that. I will show you the strength your body yet hides from you."
Kirishima "One thousand... Years? But even mama is only..." Hugo visibly struggles with the concept of living that long (and also math in general), but Miyamomo's words get through to him. He takes her hand with a renewed vigor in his moderately jacked-up eyes, and he sits up with another grinding noise coming from the remnants of the ring beneath him. "I don't understand... But I am young. I have time to grow like the potato. I... I will do it. I will become stronger than anyone else. I will become NUMBER ONE!"

Cody looks back for a moment and shakes his head, visibly grimacing at someone that's sure to be the slowest of the group by far.
Kirishima looks back for a moment and raises her thumb in intense approval, enthused by their ability to turn someone back onto a (probably) righteous path.
