Kuroto Dan      (2) New Messages
    Kuroto Dan replies,
     >I tried getting in contact with Tachibana-san and she didn't show. I looked it up and I think something happened to her. I think we should meet up in person so we can discuss what to do, I feel responsible for this.

Xion gets a text from the CEO of Genm Corporation. Two of them, one voicing concern for her fellow Watch member that he tried getting in contact with, and the other being the time, date, and location he wishes to meet.

Weirdly, where he wishes to meet is the sports stadium that she and her group of friends dealt with a Bugster. A Bugster, and perhaps, somewhat more memorablely, that mysterious black Rider.

It gets even weirder though, as Xion arrives, she'd find that the stadium is currently closed, though the way to get inside has been left completely unlocked. (Not that it being locked would stop her anyway.)

The inside is what one would expect from a closed off venue, dark and empty. The lights eventually flicker on though, almost dramatically to reveal...

The black Rider. Or at least, Xion can only assume. He looks more like an extremely marketable plushie at the moment given his stout and frumpy stature.

"As the Game Master, I can't allow people who make illegitimate copies to walk around without punishment. Though I'm not without mercy. Perhaps if you beg and grovel, perhaps I'll let you walk away with all your thieving little fingers."

He spreads his arms out as if to assert dominance, a Gashat already in hand as he seems to have a good idea with what's about to happen next.
Xion Xion is unironically deeply reliable to reach by phone. She is apparently on every messenger service *and* most content aggregators and social media in some way. Just searching her up gets her socials and even direct lines, which would be extremely dangerous...

If Xion didn't have a Robot Master Media Manager, Wendy's Woman, screening her calls and DMs. However, the noble pigtailed Brand Master has nothing to defend the noble wandering Hero of Everyone's Hearts against. . . corporate e-mail accounts directing business emails featuring emojis bowing at the proper angle for polite and reasonable admonishment.

And so, Xion finds her way to the stands of a particular sports stadium... to search. To wait. Nobody was there! Just rows of seats and rancid vibes. A dark forboding energy - and lights up to reveal a dark Rider.

Xion, coatless in the rest of her black outfit - tank top, leggings, shorts, boots, all black with silver metal, stops as the lights come up, raising a hand to shade her eyes and try to fully behold...

"... Genm? You look a little different. Is that your... apology... armor?" She asks, bemused and searching. His words clear it up.

'Thieving little fingers'.
"You're going to be disappointed. Beg and grovel? Did you really have to puff yourself up?" She adds, confused. "Because it's not impressive. If you wanted to impress me -- you would have started shooting, and skipped the stancing up. Hate to *burst your bubble*!"

Drawing out a medallion -- no, a black Refined Memory with a spinal bone structure designed S on the side -- she taps the activator stud. SKELETON announces the voice, in a gruff declarative. Tossing up the memory, a black keyblade with a smoke-pattern tooth and a wing-wrapped hilt forms in her raised hand with a dark 'shwunk'. With a deliberate slash she cuts across the falling memory, shattering the pieces into a scattering of plastic and power.

From it, smoky white Toku Goons appear, with film noir grain white jackets, white slacks, white ties and white hats with black hatbands, black shirts, black gloves, and black shoes. Each, in unison, poses a different Hard Boiled pre-pose, all point, and then they charge down Genm with a flurry of shadow clone with weight fists and two-fisted slugging.
Kuroto Dan      "Grade X (Pronounced Key)"

Genm doesn't flinch as the shadow clones rush down at him, instead calmly inserting the Gashat he was holding into his closed Driver. There's a satisfying clicking noise as the greeble locks in, followed by a cacophony of high energy call outs that only get worse when he grabs hold of the belt's lever with his stubby hand and throws it open.

    Gashat!
    Gachan! LEVEL UP!
Mighty Jump! Mighty Kick! Mighty-Mighty-Mighty Action X!
Walking Away!? What Did You Say!? Why Don't You Don't Go-Go-Go Mighty Action X!

The proper form of Genm explodes from the doughy looking mascot's body right as the noir-like goons attack, weaving through their attempts to tear into him.

Punches graze his new, more proportionate body, as he weaves through the crowd with inhuman grace, as if he's actually swimming through the air.

Now closing the distance at a rapid pace, Kamen Rider Genm Level X approaches Xion, white mallet in hand. Without the crowd of toku mooks surrounding him, it's much easier to get a better look at his new form. which, honestly, hasn't changed much. It's the same Genm from a design perspective, though the armor is a lot more slim, and the undersuit a lot more baggy, giving the outfit a more punk aesthetic.

"If this is how you want to act, I'll be happy to send you to where that friend of yours is currently residing. I'm sure she could use the company. "

Genm doesn't elaborate, instead pressing the large A button on his mallet, which shouts JA KIN! as the blunt weapon sprouts a large blade on top.

Taking another leap, Genm is finally in range of Xion, though rather than doing a logical downward slash attack someone would do in his position, he instead abuses his new weird physics to quickly flip himself upside down and pause himself midair to deliver a horizontal slice to Xion's midsection.
Xion Genm dramatically begins advancing, gracefully dodging through the lunging and fully-boiled two fisted goon boxing style, forcing graceful and godlike weaves through combo punches and twirling kicks.

"Genm, you can't just say terrible things and think I'll let you hurt me with words. Did you... really think I'd just wander right into your arms, and plug my ears to the loud, gross sounds your heart makes?"

"That's kind of funny, naughty boy." She drawls, voice husking to Femme Fatale. The mist from the Skeleton memory twists about her as she draws a white hat with black hatband over her bangs and points with her smoke-tipped crow-winged keysword.

All the dodged Toku Goons turn and hold their hats, in the same pose as Xion, drawing their own identical swords, and then the chaos begins. Stutters of motion and jumping hatted echoes begin jumping about, thrusting and slashing, hitting and fading, making gentle breathy laughs as Genm leaps with his sword to strike--

A clone, poofing into a single magic hat that he's cut through. His immediate salty backswing eviscerates through the hat of--

A second clone, while more dance and skip about in white jackets white hats, black shirts and black shoes.

"Are you really taunting me with the idea that you hurt someone I like? Do you think that works out for you?" She bubbles with laughter, directed, judging. "Gaaame Master?"
Kuroto Dan      "You really think you'd all leave unpunished? You really think the passage of time was on your on your side? That I'd simply forget? If you've looked into my heart, you already know the answer. Unfortunately, that means I can't allow you to leave alive."

Genm lands on his feet, standing up as the new crowd of fedora wearing goons crop up. Can she change places with them at a whim, or do they merely disguise themselves to trick him? He doesn't know, and  he doesn't care, because the answer to this problem is clear. He simply needs to mow down as many of them as possible until he finds the real one.

Reaching down to the greeble holder on his belt, Genm pulls out a new, bright yellow Gashat. He raises it next to his head, before stuffing it into a slot on the side of his belt.

     Gashat!

A neon pink and green bike materializes in front of him, and the Rider is quick to jump onto it, his feet finding the pedals as he leans forward and starts peddaling straight into the crowd.

It's a bike. A BMX bike. It really should be stopped by a crowd of thugs. But it's not, as the combination of video game magic and Kuroto's own godly talents allow him to do the impossible, as he mows down henchman after henchman.

"You may think you've turned this on me, but you've done anything but! I've accounted for this, it's all within my abilities as the Game Master to handle."
Xion "I think that you tried to use godlike power to defeat me, and in return I used godlike power to stop you." Xion's voice comes from multiple angles, but not sources. Functionally for a bike-equipped gamer god, though, she can swap places as seamlessly as a CPU rerolling a random chance. Every seven times he swipes at a clone, she counterattacks! Not only is it vexing, she keeps counting even after starting up her own cloned counterattacks, leaping pointedly from another angle with her smoking key to slash and harry.

There's simply no other way. He has to run them all down. With absolutely godlike BMX bike tricks and a hard-pedalled barreling down, one by one the clones fall into puffs of tiremarked and crushed magic hats, until there's just one left, and the waning power of the Skeleton Memory flickers in one last fragment of a magic hat that fades and frays and slants a brim over two angry blue eyes.

Retreating in the face of Shakariki Sports with vehicle-pacing backsteps around the arena, Xion skids to a stop and lets her hat holding-hand go to two-hand the keyblade.

"You can't just clean up the problem with an email and a meeting, Genm." The tip of her sword comes level with her eyes, smoke billowing out to both sides of her braced form. Genm pedals hard towards her, and the Nobody's stance widens in anticipation of meeting. When the Game Master gets close, his visor can clearly see the golden-banded medallion held in her hilt-wrapped hand between the tight knuckles.

"And you shouldn't have hurt Hibiki first!"

A golden thunderbolt crackles into the earth as Xion pulls back her sword into thrusting position, her feet press down and exert into the ground with unstoppable pressure, and she Stingers into Genm's bike-riding menace with the tip of her sword.
Kuroto Dan      "You know, I sent the text? And you came anyway? So tell me, how long did you know? Today? Or back then, because if that's the case-"

Xion stingers into the awesome might of Shakariki Sports, and Genm, being the absolute God that he is, attempts to contest this mighty attack, his legs working in overtime as he pedals harder than any mortal man ever has. The rubber of the wheels begins to dig into the dirt below, and a neon trail of purple and green begins to surround the cycle as it summons up everything it can.

Sadly, it wasn't meant to be, Xion's might is just too much for one lone gifted biker to tackle, and both the Sports Gamer (trademark) bicycle and Genm are sent flying into the rafters, bending and breaking the seats as they crash into them.

It takes a bit, but Genm finally stands up again, the health bar on his chest now dangerously low as his Driver begins playing warning sounds.

"If that's the case! Xion! You could have told her! If you hadn't been so focused on my heart, your friend would still be standing! "

There's an awful, gravely tone to Kuroto's voice now as he rips off his Gamer Driver, throwing the device to the ground as he pulls out a purple gamepad and a white gashat. He raises the new belt high into the air briefly in a triumphant manner, before slapping it onto his waist, a belt buckle wrapping itself around him.

"That crystal heart of yours... Let's see how much more it can reflect of me before it shatters. "

Pressing the button on the Gashat, it announces its name Dangerous Zombie! before he slams it into the empty slot in his belt and pushes the button on top.

    BUGGLE UP!
DANGER! DANGER! GENOCIDE! DEATH THE CRISIS! DANGEROUS ZOMBIE!

The belt makes an announcement just as ugly as Kuroto's voice, as he suddenly bursts through a holographic display of two zombified riders, revealing his new black and white form.

     Gashacon Sparrow!

With a swipe of his hand, a visible select screen, Kamen Rider Genm grabs hold of some sort of bow, aiming the newly summoned weapon at Xion as he lets loose a stream of beam arrows at the girl, and continues to do so even as he jumps down to greet her face to face. It's not a nice greeting, though, as he throws his upper body back in a drunken-like fashion before lunging himself back forward, thrusting the bow in front of him as he aims to deck the Keyblade Wielder straight in the face with the ranged weapon's bladed body.

Xion "I knew, since back then--" Xion speaks, at the moment of content, tip pressed to Genm's chest. "--that you were a creep!!!"

Foom! off goes Genm, smashing into the rafters and bleachers in the far back wall. Xion has a few moments in the field, crackling with Hibiki's power as her stinger smokes from her out-stretched and held blade.

In the distance, cieling mounted lights fall. Close by, her out-stretched hand, gloved, lowers the blade she had gained from Lilian to fall tip-down at her side.

Breathing with some force, nose flaring and hair matted to her brow, Xion watches Genm -- no, Kuroto Dan -- crest and approach the top of the stands, throwing down the colorful Gamer Driver for a rancidly seething growl greeble.

'That crystal heart of yours--'

Xion's chin falls, the corners of her lips upturning. A sad, 'oh, you' smile. "I don't need to warn her to stay away from creepy guys. And it's not my fault you attacked her:"

Xion lifts her sword, right handed, to point the tip at the HEY, XION'ing Kuroto. "It's yours." The tip turns, and her left hand reaches out to flick towards her something telekinetically. "So, if you'll insist on being the villain: I'll be the Kamen Rider."

That colorful Gamer Driver sails into Xion's hand, where she sets it onto her waist, matted hair flaring up into anime front-spikes as her eyes flare brightly. "And if your problem threatens the lives of my friends--"

She flicks out a swing-phone, typing in three numbers onto the keypad, where it announces STANDING BY. "--Then I'll begin the operation to remove it!" Treating the Xsa Phone like a Gashat, she slots it in to the acceptor and swipes open the window. "Dai Henshin!"

A spinning ring of faces, few of which indeed look even close to riders spins around the Nobody, and she selects a greyscale Mighty face among them all. The screen enlarges - checkerboard white and black - and sweeps over her.

Dangerous Zombie charges his fist right into the greyscale face of Mighty, leeched of all color but two blue eyes on the goggle-like helmet and the health segments across the chest, flashing to full life and then suffering from the connection of a rancid zamboni bow.

Falling back a step, Mighty Xion shoulders forward and, still crackling with the golden thunder of Hibiki's power, swings her own fist back to cross-counter Kuroto in the face.
Kuroto Dan      "Playing dumb is not going to-"

Genm is cut off again as Xion's punch hits the Rider in the face, causing him to tumble through the field until he eventually runs out of kinetic energy. He lays flat on the ground for the briefest of moments before a visible dark energy forces him back up, his body cracking and bending at unnatural angles to achieve this.

"You're no Kamen Rider. You're a sham, just like the man you're mimicking! You dare to mess with MY Gamer Driver and use UNAUTHORIZED Gashats while mocking my games!? Read my heart now, feel and drown in my rage! I'll bury you, utterly and completely in this hate of mine. "

The rancid energy that surrounds Genm becomes more vibrant, abruptly splitting away from him as exact duplicates of himself are created. They, however, don't act like him in the slightest, letting out horrific moans as they shamble forward toward Xion at an alarming speed, arms outstretched as they try to latch on desperately to her limbs.

The real Genm, in the meanwhile,  capitalizes on the sudden appearance of his dopplegangers, rushing in after them and using them as a distraction as he attempts to grab hold of the Gamer Driver on Xion's waist with one hand, while the other one curls up into a fist to deliver yet another punch at the girl's now armored face.
Xion Mighty X(ion)'s fist connects, cracks Genm across the jaw, sends him flying, and once again she has a seething, standing moment of heaving breath, expressing her violent feelings through her arm, into her fist, through the suit-gauntleted fingers and across into the Dangerous Zombie.

He springs back up on uncut puppet strings of darkness, yanked back into shape with hatred. Thick, palpable ropes of hatred pour from the Game Master, manifest in spectrous zombies that surge aross the ground and tear at her.

Try to tear at her. Claw at the color-desaturated texture of the 'false' Mighty X.

It does not take a heart-reader to feel the trembling pressure-front of her own displeasure, peeling black voxels and smoke off the ground around her, twisted into a storm that zombies tear at but find no purchase. Kuroto has been trying to get under her skin all fight, and it might have felt like it wasn't working--

It was.
Xion understood Hate.
It was a very core part of her, her Hate.
Hate in all its shapes, in every expression.
Hate, twisted into beautiful forms.

"I'm not mimicing Emu Hojo. That's just what you see. The only person you ever see, when you fight like this. The power I'm using -- the Rider I'm carrying it on for --"

Xion's hand snaps out, to grasp Genm's as it goes for her driver. His, among all the rest. He asked her to find his heart and drown in it.

She didn't have any problem swimming in hate. It was her home waters. Two blue eyes gazed down, behind fanciful goggles and monochrome face. "Itsuro Takuma was a great Kamen Rider. And you'll keep things about his power out of your mouth, Kuroto Dan."

Mighty X(ion)'s thumb lifts from her sword-hilt to click the finisher stud, before she spins on her heel and hook-kicks the true Genm with a gold-lightning flashing EXCEED CRITICAL STRIKE!
Kuroto Dan      "You say you aren't mimicking Emu, but yet!"

Genm knows the rider kick is coming, but doesn't move, he just pushes his face closer to Xion's before he's ultimately rider kicked away.

Rather than fly away, he stumbles back, toku sparks and electrical discharge spraying from his suit before he suddenly falls down and explodes. It'd be a nice thought to think he was truly gone, but given that even more clones of Genm begin spawning across the battlefield, it's safe to assume he isn't.

"But yet, I haven't seen you create anything truly original! Instead, you just coast off the gifts of those more talented than you! I don't see an Isturo Takuma, or a Mighty. What I see is derivative garbage that you seem content to mock me with!"

Rising once more from a cloud of rancid smoke, the skeletal Rider points an accusing finger at Xion before slamming the A button on his Driver.

     CRITICAL END!

The Buggle Driver vomits out a finisher announcement as Genm jumps into the air, his entire body swirling around at dangerously high speeds like a buzzsaw as he's surrounded by a cloud of horribly low res energy, before suddenly flying forward to deliver a kick straight to her stolen Gamer Driver.

Responding to his impending finishing blow, the newly spawned Gamer Zombies move in towards Xion's , limping and groaning like an actual undead horde as they bunch up to both block her vision and restrict her movement options by body blocking.
Xion Mighty X(ion) had been pushed very hard, very fast by Genm. Kuroto pushed her buttons masterfully, for all that her cool attitude and natural inclination towards listening to hearts, swimming in hatred, and engaging in violence inured her most of his normal tricks.

Dan Kuroto did not once give up, about anything. The cool attitude and clear boundaries didn't matter. It *did* bother her. She *was* angry. She knew that anger, in her, had felt it often, now - even if she borrowed it at first.

Hibiki was one of the people that showed Xion what it felt like to be mad for someone else's sake. The distinction - the care-rooting - was deeply important, even if it was a dark thing to be furious.

'Shut up.' She thinks, and speaks with her sullen shoulders.

'Stop talking.' She growls with the sigh of her helmeted mouth and the downturn of the faux glowing blue goggled eyes.

Her head doesn't rise to track Genm as he smashes half an A press in and springs into the air, maximizes his gamer velocity charge, and spins out into a flying kick directly to the colorful driver at her waist.

Xion, summoning Starlight into her free hand with a metallic 'shwink!', takes a ready stance, black smoke-tip at the fore and star-capped over her shoulder.

With a sweep of silver and black, the Gamer Zombies are cleaved through and blown away from interfering with Xion's defense. Unfortunately: She fails to make an effective one, crossed-blade guard smacked down by the spin. She guarded her chest - her heart - and so the driver is not spared the full wrath of Genm.

GASSHU-- crackles her acquired Gamer Driver as it, and her Kaixa Phone, seperate from each other and her waist with her own back-falling short-roll.

Coming up in a half-crouch with Starlight still in hand and Lilian's black smoke-toothed faded - with Hibiki's power. Her summoned advantages, dissipated with a deliberate kick of Genm's own.

Reaching out a hand, with only one moment to choose, her instincts and a wisk of gravity bearing the phone back to her hand, over the ruined driver or simply another sword. "This is mine. I made it, and an incredible man used it to save people. If you make something, you don't own everything that comes out of it. If you make a printing press, you don't own every book printed on them. If you make a game, you don't own player's dreams and experiences!"

"You're mad Emu is better at being Mighty than you. How does it feel to be the derivative Mighty?!"

Xion, formless, springs from her dramatic Toku Talking Crouch, lunging to intercept Genm at exactly where she knows in her heart he'll be.

Lunging for that Gamer Driver! Pressing SEND on the Kaixa Phone, Xion swipes the opened swing-arm across the blade of her sword, infusing it with glowing yellow SFX power.
Kuroto Dan      "Shut your mouth! Emu is only Mighty because I allow him to be! The moment I no longer have a use for him, is the moment I take away the only thing that makes him special."

Genm casually leaves out the part where he's already attempted this and has been stopped before thanks to Emu's cheating prowess, because it isn't important.

With the Gamer Driver destroyed, he doesn't have a reason to stay around. He's collected enough data for Level X and he can always take care of Xion later...

Her refusal to respect the Game Master in any way is enough to make him stay, though. It's not like he can truly lose anyway, he's immortal!

With that in mind, he grabs hold of the Gashacon Sparrow once more, splitting the weapon into two sickles with a loud ZU PAN!. He pulls a new Gashat from his belt to load into the pair of bladed weapons, bringing them overhead as they charge with pixelated energy.

    Gashat! Kimewaza!

He lunges forward to meet Xion, making large arcing slashes with the two sickles preemptively to launch two huge waves of concentrated video game essence at her.

    GIRI GIRI CRITICAL FINISH!
Xion Xion lunged towards the Gamer Driver because she wanted to challenge Kuroto. She wanted to push his hand. He says all that good shit--

But he still does it. Xion remembers dealing with Genm before, and it pretty much worked out the same way -- just, with a lot less toxicity.

Now, Kuroto was truly Toxic. A rancid Gamer Master.

The pixel-crackling Gashacon Sparrows rake into the gold-bladed Starlight, causing a shower of sparks that splash down and fully overpower her guard. The ground shakes and shatters at her sides and behind her while Xion is raked down with the weapons.

Two long wicked lines of ribboning black cloth and black-seeping blood X's across the unarmored girl's front.

Starlight goes flying, tumbling through the air to land buried in the field-stands retaining wall at an angle.

The girl tumbles forward, reaching for contact with Dangerous Zombie's front. What starts as just a forward-fall snap-transitions into a hug, a grab, a coercively grabby-armed ratchet at Genm's neck for an eerie, too-close press-in, red visored-eye to blue.

"Hey. Kuroto. That armor of yours makes you immortal, right? I don't have Chase's power, so, I wanted to make sure."

Without any restraint, the Nobody yaws on the armored rider's neck while she bleeds black on his armor - easy to hide - and channel-exerts strength into flipping the corporate rider by the neck into those stands he had liked to crawl out of, so much.
Kuroto Dan      It's almost comical how Kamen Rider Genm is thrown through the air, spinning around like a badly CGI'd in effect, before he finally crashes into the rafters once more. There's a delay before the familiar toxic vape cloud pulls the CEO back on his feet, but the fact that it does probably answers Xion's question. Yes, this man truly is immortal.

Being immortal doesn't mean he doesn't have some sort of limit. He's got the undying body of a zombie, but when it comes to stamina, he's still human. He can only take this sort of exertion for so long, and by the way his shoulders heave up and down quickly, it would seem 'so long' is currently 'right now'.

Has the Game Master lost? Maybe. But this, too, was all accounted for. Sure, Xion won the battle, but the only thing she's doing is speeding up the process of unlocking the true potential of Level X. So in the end, who really lost?

This is probably a coping mindset, but to someone like Dan Kuroto, it's just fact. He definitely outplayed her at every corner! Even if everyone else would say it doesn't look like it, they're all too stupid to understand his genius anyway.

"Go ahead! Keep it! A broken driver for a broken crystal! It suits you nicely!"

His voice sounds pained, he clearly can't put much of a fight up anymore, but even still, he pulls the Buggle Driver off his waist, attaching it to a grip on his hand as he points a pair of barrels at Xion and fires.

They're warning shots, enough to kick up dirt and smoke and deter the girl from attempting to come any closer. And even if she did, by the time she got to the rafters, Kamen Rider Genm was nowhere to be found.
Xion A spray of shots kicks up a cloud of Escape Vape, Genm's voice rising over the sound of rattling and settling from the confrontation's most recent impact into the stands.

Releasing the tension in her fists a momnet after the dust begins to clear, Xion sits down. Plopping down next to the Gamer Driver, broken and scorched across the fanciful front.

Xion, X-crossed with seeping wounds, reaches a bloody hand over to pick up the broken Driver.

"Okay then. Thank you for your gift."
