Owner Pose
Remee Halcyon The duality of Remee Halcyon is such: in one mode, she's rubbing elbows with the Watch, flitting between 'safehouses' that sometimes are just whatever extra storage space a sympathetic restaurant has in the back, spending hours on end in the middle of nowhere, and trying to deal with the mess that is Petra's "Living quarters" on her mech.

In the other mode... she's billionaire heiress Remee Halcyon, scion of a multiversal industrial concern and a minor celebrity in her own right.

It's the latter mode that she's employing for this approach. The 'rich bitch' mode, in other words. Bitch being literal - she's opted for her anthropomorphic wolf form today, solely because the clearly nonhuman appearance adds some exotic multiversal flair.

A car pulls up to the front of Genm Corporation, and someone in the passenger seat rushes to open her side door and let her out. The outfit she's wearing, in red furs and dyed red leather, is likely worth as much as a Genm Corp developer's monthly salary - and the sleek red car is definitely worth more than they'd make in a year. Before taxes. With benefits included.

She steps out of the car, the attendant closing the door after her, and then running forward to open the entrance door to the Genm Corp lobby - Remee Halcyon does not open her own doors. She pushes past her own attendant, brusquely and impatiently, to make her way inside, expecting someone to be there to greet her on her unannounced and unheralded appearance, and waiting impatiently if there isn't one. Remee Halcyon does not make appointments - everyone else adjusts *their* schedule around Remee Halcyon.
Kuroto Dan Remee's appearance and brazenness definitely gets attention, what with the few staff stationed on the bottom floor stopping either to turn or pull out a cellphone and take a photo. One of them is apparently attempting to call some sort of emergency service, but they're currently stuck in a queue judging by the calming waiting music that's coming out of their device.

There's apologies from the front desk woman as they adamantly insist that, no, you do in fact need to set up a reservation. It almost escalates to the point where she's about ready to ping for security, but just as that's about to happen, she gets a call from her phone. Presumably, it's from someone in charge of the place, as she's quick to offer the werewolf yet another apology before directing her towards the elevator. It leads straight to the top of the building, and from there, it's not hard to find Dan's office, though Remee finds herself led by several staff members to the room despite how easy it is to find.

Inside, the main thing that sticks out is that the room is unusually poorly lit, the only real source of lighting coming from the massive open window that overlooks the city. Other than that, it seems to be the standard CEO's office. There's couches, cabinets filled with awards and plaques, a pong table, and most importantly the big imposing desk where the boss man himself usually sits.

Kuroto's not sitting there though, instead, he's currently standing next to the window, turned away with his arms folded behind his back as he just gazes outside.

"I can already guess, but I might as well ask to be polite. What brings you here today?"

Remee Halcyon Reservations are something that happens to other people. (Remee absolutely does make reservations, at least when she's not putting on Rich Bitch mode.)

Rich Bitch mode gets results, though. When they're let inside and the man of the hour comes into view, Remee gestures for her retinue to fall back, leaving them alone.

"Ostensibly, if any members of the public or media ask, I'm here to make a sizable investment in Genm Corporation," says Remee. Her eyes scan over the array of awards. "In reality..."

Her attention turns back to Kuroto. "Kamen Rider Genm."

"... Who I assume is... some manner of rogue employee, who has made off with Genm's technology and has appropriated its name." Her muzzle purses. "And who has then proceeded to make trouble with a number of my allies and friends."

"I'd like to know the full story behind that, first and foremost."
Kuroto Dan      "It's about him... Of course."

Kuroto steps away from the window to return to his desk. He doesn't seat himself, rather, he leans forward a bit to make accessing his keyboard and monitor a bit easier. With a few keystrokes and a couple of mouse clicks, he's done, and he pulls himself back up to full height.

"Thanks to a late coroner, we have an idea on who the culprit might be. Unfortunately, we don't know his whereabouts. He hasn't been in the company for some time now."

The CEO flips his monitor around to show to Remee. On the display is what's obviously a picture of a young man with curly hair and a rather absurd jacket with various wires attached to it. Most importantly, he seems to be holding a gaudy green and pink brick. A Gamer Driver, if Remee is familiar with them (if not, it's literally printed on the thing so now she is).

"He used to be a QA tester, but we don't have his name on file anymore, all we know is that he wants to 'find the truth' behind the bugsters. Whatever that means.... I'm extremely sorry I can't provide any more than that."

Kuroto gives the watch member an apologetic bow, his face clearly twisted in remorse.

Remee Halcyon Remee isn't familiar, so now she is.

She studies the picture, muzzle pursed again. "I see..."

"... Wait, a late coroner?" The rich bitch facade falls a bit as puzzlement creeps into Remee's voice. "Isn't that typically the other way around? The coroners examine other people who've died?"

"... Regardless." She tries to get back into character. "So. A late QA tester - I mean, a rogue QA tester. I see. I assume you're already investigating and-"

She pauses, and peers at the monitor again. "The... QA tester, Kamen Rider Genm, gave... another person a different looking device. Sort of a... controller looking thing. With buttons on it." She's describing the Bugster Driver. "He gave it to someone who *definitely* shouldn't have that sort of firepower, even if it didn't do him too much good in the end. But it was definitely a different device, not just that same one lent out..."

"Would you guess if this QA tester knows enough to reproduce the technology? Or is there anyone else that'd make a driver like that, that you'd know of?" she asks.
Kuroto Dan      "The Bugvisor. Or rather the Buggle Driver. It was made for debugging and containing Bugsters..."

Kuroto seems to recognize the device being described, but trails off for a bit, catching himself going slightly off topic and correcting himself.

"I'm the only one with the talent to make these devices, which makes his ability to procure these items all the more concerning... That said, it wasn't Genm who gave John that belt. It was me."

almost immediately after confessing, Kuroto drops to the ground in a full on grovel for forgiveness.

"I'm sorry! I truly am! I thought the boy was marching to an early grave with how he was behaving! I just didn't want another death on my conscious, please understand! I didn't mean to cause any trouble!"

There's an almost manic energy to the CEO's voice as he desperately holds back his tears. It'd be almost comedic if his desperate apology didn't come off as so sincere.

"If it's within my power, please! Please, let me make amends!"

He looks up at Remee with a pleading look before dropping his head back down on the ground, completely glued to it as he prostrates himself.

Remee Halcyon "Calm - I mean, it's, I don't want-" Remee says, cutting herself off several times. Her bluster and composure have more or less evaporated within the space of a few seconds, and they're not likely to come back. "John didn't - I mean..."

She goes over to crouch down in front of him, not feeling comfortable with him being that much lower on the ground than he is. "... I think John wouldn't have caused any less trouble if you'd not given him the device? So you haven't caused any damage, but um..."

Her face screws up. An idea flits across her mind. It's not one she's sure she particularly likes the shape of, but...

"... Okay, um, please... stand back up, Mr. Dan." She offers him a hand. "I think... everything's going to be okay, and I think there's a way you can make amends..."

"... Before I explain... would you be opposed to making another one of those drivers? To be held in more responsible hands?"
Kuroto Dan      Kuroto stops his pathetic groveling when asked to stand, slowly pulling himself off the ground as he regains his composure. He sniffles a bit, before readjusting his jacket and taking a seat at his desk, turning his monitor back to face him as he begins working on the keyboard.

"I can... Yeah... It'll take me a bit of time to assemble a new device, though I'll have to deny you some of its functionality... Not that I don't trust you, just that... It's dangerous..."

Kuroto Dan pulls away from his computer for a moment to bend down under his desk, pulling open a drawer as he begins rummaging through it. What he pulls out seems to be some sort of adapter, perfectly designed to slot in a small cartridge, from the looks of it, something that's easily deduced given that a blank white cartridge is already loaded into it. He quickly plugs a cable into the USB of his computer, before returning to work.

"If I can make one selfish request though, I'd like if you didn't tell John about this. He seems to trust me a lot, and I'd rather not break his heart."

Remee Halcyon Remee nods. "I understand about the danger, though I can tell you that I'm pretty strong, and I can withstand pretty much anything... So I wouldn't worry too much."

It's lost on her that he's agreed to make a new device for her even though she hasn't given her reasoning for it yet. She gives it anyway. "I'm going to try to dissuade John from... acting how he is. And also I'm in a good position to protect Petra - I mean, the girl he's being aggressive towards. And I think I'm pretty capable of doing both, but any edge or boost you can give would be very useful, I think?"

She goes to take a seat. "I won't say a word to anyone, I promise. I know about..." She falls silent for a moment. "Having things in your past that you regret. So you deserve a second chance, absolutely."

"I won't tell John you gave it to me, especially..."

She can't help but watch him work, curiously, even if she doesn't understand any of it.

"Actually - since you've been so helpful, and since this has all turned out to just be one big innocent mistake... you seem like a really nice person. Is Genm Corportation taking investments right now?"
Kuroto Dan      "Thank you. Also, I'm not worried about you. It's hard to explain, but this device has the potential to do a lot of bad. There's a reason that John doesn't have full access to it either."

Kuroto continues to type, only stopping when he needs to move his mouse. His face is completely glued to his screen, but in a practiced fashion, he seems to be good at holding a conversation even when in the middle of work.

"I'm going to need your address for when I'm done by the by. Unless you want to drop by tomorrow to pick it up."

Dan tosses a business card to Remee as he continues his expert coding. At least, one can assume it's coding. If Remee were to take a peak at his screen, the stuff on there looks more like it came out of a Hollywood movie. Maybe computers just work that way here?

"Investments? Well, the Concord backing has been more than enough to fund our current games, but we're always open to more support. It'd greatly increase the scope of future projects, if anything."

Kuroto, much like most CEOs, seems to light up a bit at the mention of money. Though he seems less interested in pocketing it for himself, and more interested in making more products. Which basically ends with him making more money probably, but you know. It's slightly better than the alternative.

Remee Halcyon "Ahhh... well, hopefully I can dispell any doubts. I'm only planning on doing good things with it," says Remee, with the full sincerity of someone who's idea of 'good' does not line up parallel to the common idea of 'good'.

"Right, so..." The space station wouldn't be a good address to give out. Remee gives him the address of her house in Lampport instead, which she's mostly only using as a springboard to get into local politics.

"Great... get an investment contract drawn up, and I think... thirty mil? Well, maybe thirty is a bit much, let's say twenty five..." She gets a business card out and flicks it onto his desk.

"Thank you, Mr. Dan. If you'll excuse me, I'll get out of your hair now..."
Kuroto Dan      "Space station? Eh? A-Anyway, thank you! I really mean it. Rest assured your money will only go towards our next products. Please, look forward to them. And look forward to your belt!"

As Remee eventually leaves and exits, Kuroto's joyous and personable demeanor finally fades away behind closed doors, his face becoming stone cold as he looks at his computer screen, and then at Remee's business card. A slight smile starts sprouting on his face, eventually growing to a full blown grin.
