Kuroto Dan      The hunt to understand the Bugster Virus always leads to two places, Genm Corporation, and Seito University. Unfortunately, the former requires proper scheduling and a good amount of public notoriety to even get past the security on the first floor, something a detective agency led by a half-boiled man doesn't really have.

The latter seems to be a lot easier to get into by comparison, especially since the person to originally take the call seemed interested in discussing things. Weirdly, however, once Shotaro gets there, the attitude towards his arrival seems to have changed, probably due in part to the person he's now meeting with being different.

"The intern you spoke with is busy today, so I'll be filling in instead. Let's keep this brief, detective."

The doctor coldly escorts him from the hallway to a currently unoccupied hospital room, taking a seat as he quietly fills out the clipboard he was carrying. Though he didn't give a proper introduction, it's not hard to figure out the man's name, given he has a name tag that reads "Hiiro Kagami" on his doctor's coat.
Shotaro Hidari "Of course," Shotara responds, willing to be polite.  After all, he was a guest here and trying to follow some threads from his own investigation...one that remained open.  Shotaro didn't like open cases, not one bit.  Sitting down, he draws out a pad of paper and a pen.  "I'll try and be as quick as possible.."

"A bit ago, there was an elite in the Concord who used the Bugster Virus on people in order to further her own power and schemes.  Fortunately, she was cleaned of this, but there are some things on the case that leave me... unsatisfied."

"Such as the fact that the virus is still a thing that exists, continues to thrive, and is a potential threat.  My contacts seem to have led me here, so I will ask you plainly, what is the virus?  How does it spread?  Can it be stopped?"
Kuroto Dan      "The Bugster Virus is a type of malware that evolved to infect humans. It can spread through a variety of ways, such as contact through infected items, airborne particles, and by malicious parties. Yes, it can be stopped, that is what the Gamer Doctors are for."

Hiiro's voice is a combination of cold and agitated as he answers the questions one by one like one would a list. There's a distinct feeling from the way he's quick to respond to each one that he's had to answer similar questions before, which shouldn't come as a surprise, given that the virus is a pretty reasonable thing for people to be concerned about and for publications to cover.

"If that's all of your questions, please make good on your word and leave as soon as possible. If you've got any more, hurry it up."
Shotaro Hidari Shotaro writes some things down.

"Evolved?  That's a funny thing to say because that isn't just jumping a species, but an entire medium.  How would a computer virus evolve to infect people for real?"

Shotaro continues, after checking his notes again, "You say 'Malicious parties', who do you mean exactly?  It is important for me to understand how such a thing came into the hands of someone in the Concord.  It would be very helpful if you know of any ties there."

"Also...'Gamer Doctor'?"
Kuroto Dan "If that question could be answered, you'd have been able to look it up online already. Tools to research this disease have only become available to us recently."

Hiiro flips the page on his clipboard as he continues writing. His eyes have been glued on it most of this time, though his gaze shifts upward to look at Shotaro briefly before his attention snaps back.

"Malicious parties. The person you described before would be one of them. I thought that was clear?" Also yes, Gamer Doctors. That's the title of those equipped to treat Gamer Illness."
Shotaro Hidari Shotaro does not ignore the look or the glancing over of 'Malicious Parties'.  Shotaro taps his notepad for a moment, before deciding to move forward with his questioning.

"The question becomes who provided this... 'Malicious Party' with the virus in the first place.  She was able to test it on others before herself," he says, staring right at Hiiro.  "Hospitals are known for being places diseases can thrive too, especially in epidemics that are unprecedented."

"Is there something else you need to do today doctor?  Why not have sent someone else to talk with me, if you seem unwilling to answer the questions or provide me with information?  Right now, I am looking at something that can make my Fudo cry, and I am sure this city is like this to you..."

"Or else why would you be a doctor?"
Kuroto Dan      "Once the party's been properly identified properly, the Ministry of Health will be the first to reveal it, and not some random doctors you've decided to question. You'll gain nothing by asking me, much like the other tabloids and officers who've come to throw these kinds of questions around."

He's once again skirting around the question. It's not like he's trying to hide it either, he's making it pretty blatant. It's also pretty blatant by the way he says 'officers' that he's got much less love for them than he does the tabeloids, weirdly.

"To your attempts to goad me with your blatant insinuations of this hospital, I say, no thank you. Anyway, I've got better things to do than waste my time answering rookie law enforcement, but I specifically requested to answer your questions over the intern you spoke with. I would rather Seito University's reputation not be sullied by an undisciplined greenhorn."
Shotaro Hidari "I see, I see.." Shotaro says with a closing of his notepad and a click of his pen.  "Then I'll have to find out where she got the sample on my own...I sure do hope you have a good day, Doctor."

Shotaro stands to leave but has decided to leave one of his devices around.  Well, less leave around and more left to fly out of his hand under the table.  Letting the Bat Shot here follow and observe the doctor who he finds suspicious.

"I am sure you won't mind if I look around and ask others questions, no?" he says as he walks out, without actually waiting for permission.
Kuroto Dan      "You have ten minutes before I call security. If you don't want to waste your time however, I suggest you shift your efforts towards the man currently in jail for causing the initial outbreak rather than waste our staff's time."

Hiiro, for once, whether intentionally or not, actually gives some sort of direction for the detective to follow, though he doesn't give a specific name. Thankfully though, through a bit of digging through various channels that aren't just Google, he's able to find that the name attached to the mentioned individual is 'Masamune Dan'.

If Shotaro does decide to spend his ten minutes asking around, he'd realize that most of the hospital actually doesn't know anything about the Bugster Virus or Game Illness that the public wouldn't already know, and will immediately direct Shotaro to speak with a Gamer Doctor, specifically Hiiro Kagami or Emu Hojo. Emu Hojo doesn't seem to be in the building, however, but at least that's another potential name to add to the list for later.

Spying to Hiiro is probably the least fruitful thing, honestly. Given that the moment that Shotaro's gone and the door is closed, he pulls out a cake that was previously hidden in the room and begins eating it after cleanly cutting it with a scapel.
Shotaro Hidari Shotaro will have to have some work cut out for him, though the name Emu Hojo is saved for later.  With him not being around, then he'll have to find and investigate him later.  However, incidentally, Hiiro did give him one lead.

A bit of investigating (thanks Phillip) gives him enough to get a name.  From there it's about pulling strings and contacts to get a chance to have an interview with Masamune Dan.

Meanwhile, Shotaro looks at the Beetle Phone's screen once in a while.  "...I see.  This man is very good.  He is likely at the center of the conspiracy."
