Rowdyruff Boys The CITY of TOWNSVILLE...

Is having an alright Saturday morning, actually. There are no villains out and about causing mischief. This is partially because you're out and about causing mischief. Or more specifically, you're part of a group of people who are going to be burning a creepy brainwash-y school down. You've been told that this is legal, though the details of this haven't been explained to you.

The problem of brainwashing in the United States is a particularly noteworthy one, as certain religious cults dominate entire states. However, outlawing "brainwashing" as an idea is difficult and bound to be opposed for reasons of practicality. Most importantly, it's difficult to distinguish advertisement from turning somebody into a cultist. There is one exception, though: When superpowers are a part of it.

The long and short of that is that old classmates of the Powerpuff Girls suddenly turning into evil, creepy "good children" Power Rangers is a good enough cause for a warrant.

Unfortunately, supervillains are going to be supervillains, and as soon as the group approaches FATHER'S school the MEGAXORD punches its way out of the underground complex that held it and awkwardly staggers up to face them. It is, combined in this form, a humanoid mecha that looks... pretty janky, actually. They fit together more-or-less, but there's a jerkiness to them suggesting that whatever systems enable this are not quite functioning properly. As previously its networked devices are largely unsecure internet of things garbage, and it has been thoroughly sabotaged along the way in previous encounters.

That doesn't mean it isn't a problem. But it IS actively taking damage just existing, and mostly the group will just have to hold out long enough for it to self-destruct.

Unfortunately, it is still a skyscraper-sized battle robot, even if it's a shitty one. Just popping out of the ground is peppering the surroundings with dangerous debris.

    INSIDE...

Brick pulls a fire alarm. There's about to be plenty of fireworks here. He finds it a little creepy how orderly the evacuation is, though. Days like this, he's glad he solved the mind control problem for himself and his brothers a long time ago.
Powerpuff Girls JUST A BIT EARLIER:

Blossom and Princess Morbucks stand before the real power behind the Mayor:

Miss Bellum. The Mayor is taking a nap.

The red jacketed and skirted Blossom stands with her arms lightly crossed, having already finished her pitch.

"... so you see, Miss Bellum, all we need to do is borrow one of your -- I mean, the Mayor's -- hats."

Nodding in a black pantsuit and jacket with a yellow top Princess makes the final pitch: "Just name me Attorney General for a day and we'll handle the rest."

MISS BELLUM probably looks askance at the Morbucks girl, but nobody can tell, because the visual plane stops at her neckline.

"Well... She does have statecraft experience. . ."

SO YOU GET THAT WARRANT (thanks to Attorney General Princess Morbucks)...

BUBBLES and BUTTERCUP zap into view from colored streaks over the school-building as the MEGAXORD punches a massive mecha-fist through the earth and begin climbing out. "Alright everyone! It's time to put this school out for summer!" Bubbles calls, a twinkling wash of blue folding over on itself into a sphere over every palm, crackling with electricity. While debris bounces and bashes against her, she charges for a moment, and then unleashes it all towards--

"More like school's out - forever!" Buttercup calls loudly, shouting even over the shittily mixed introduction of a whole Mega-Xord! Spinning up into a dark green vortex that's charged up with Bubble's electromagnetic force, Buttercup tornado dive-kicks the chest of the gattai'ed Xord right in the middle of its ground eruption.
Futaba Nuki The plan is set. Things are beginning to move. All that's left is getting the fireworks where they need to be, and then things will be fixed! Futaba's pretty sure she missed a few steps there, but she's got enough faith in her companions and the quality of her home-grown/technically-borrowed-not-stolen explosives to leave the rest of the details up to...

Brick! Getting the fireworks in is going to be trickier than expected, though, when that Megaxord comes right out of the ground to halt the group in their tracks.

Luckily, Futaba's dressed like a ninja today with that sleek black ninja mask over her mouth, so nobody should recognize her through her violently orange hair, big green forehead leaf, or giant poofy raccoon tail.

"I was wondering when we'd finally be duking it out with the big guy... Looks like today. Alright, come on! Come on!" Clapping her hands together as the giant robot pulls itself all the way out of the ground, Futaba starts moving her fingers through various handseals even as the debris rains down on her and smacks her without getting so much as a flinch in response.

"Ninja secret art: Heaven's drop!" Going into a sudden sprint, Futaba's hands keep moving until she claps them together once more, fusing them together while raising them overhead. Her singular hand rockets upwards as the rest of her arm extends into the sky, and then that same hand comes right back down several times its size, slamming down at the Mechaxord with an oversized palm as though she was trying to just smush it back down into the hole it came from.
Timespace Riders      The familiar rustling of fabric is heard a moment before a familiar, impossible swirl of grey fabric billows out from nothing. The street facing the school is empty, until it isn't--until Woz's scarf expands outwards, swirling around himself and his Demon King. In glimpses stolen from between its flowing form, their joined hands are briefly visible, as is Sougo's soft smile.

The conversations at Princess' lakehouse might've had something to do with that. The scarf spins its last and returns to being a normally-sized, inanimate garment, resting on the retainer's shoulder, and Woz looks down his nose at the school, chin turned up as the Megaxord bursts from beneath the ground. Woz is smiling, too.

"Right!" The Demon King exclaims, grinning wide as Bubbles and Buttercup zap into view. "I have a good feeling about this," Sougo says, index held confidently in the air as he retrieves the bulky white TIMESPACE DRIVER. As he presses it to his waist, it fastens itself around his fashionably oversized pastel pink button-up, just as Woz's sleek, silver-and-green BEYONDRIVER does the same.

Each of them has two futuristic pocketwatches in hand. One pair is familiar--the Zi-O and Woz Ridewatches. But another is new, a matching pair. Woz's bears a red snowflake with exaggerated limbs serving as the 'antennae' of the helmet. Sougo's features two tentrils of blue lightning, branching from a cluster of bubbles. Displayed on both matching watches, in white LCD numbers beneath the face of each, is a year. AU16.

                        o/` Ka-meeen Rider! o/` ZI-O. . .
ARMOR TIME! Sparking Joy! Flowing Laughter! Bubbles!

                             Kamen Rider WOZ? WOZ?!
Future Time! Brilliant! Blizzard! Futurering Blossom! BLOSSOM!

The transforming Riders are battered by rubble, but stand firm as hardlight katakana and laser grids take the brunt of the beating. Zi-O's armor is a water-and-lightning accented variation on his analog wristwatch motif, with the 'band' of the watch on his cuirass, formed of blue rushing water framed by black bolts, and the 'hands' of the watch on his helmet turned into golden bolts of lightning. RIDER is spelled in blue katakana serving as the helmet's 'eyes.' He charges the Megaxord, plowing through the last bits of rubble with a rising war cry, pulling back for a hard-hitting haymaker augmented with a burst of high-pressure water just at the moment of impact with the robot's leg.

Woz, meanwhile, wears a red variation on his usual smartwatch-themed armor, with the antennae on his helmet replaced by two exagerrated tines of a red snowflake. The 'band' on his cuirass is a depiction of a red blizzard, while his pauldrons sport neatly tied red bows. "Iwae!" Woz throws his arms wide, and a green-tipped spear with a touchscreen below the head appears in his right hand. With a swipe of the spear, a burst of freezing cold frosts over the leg of the Megaxord, perfectly timed for a superpowered knee from Zi-O. "He is heir to the power of all Riders. The ruler of time, traveling beyond time and space to reign over past and future... and I am his faithful chronicler, prophet of his glorious reign, Kamen Rider Woz Blossom Armor! His name is Kamen Rider Zi-O Bubbles Armor--and in this moment, we have penned a new page in the next chapter of history!"
Angela Lobotomy Corp! Face the Fear, Build the Future! Or in some cases, apparently, be sent off to Townsville again so you can engage in proper testing of the myriad of 'Abnormal' situations that continuously crop up there.

Justin Rook and Parker arrive on the scene in short order, Lobotomy Corp failing to provide additional agents because they don't want to expend extra resources they're unsure they won't need to for the situation. This is, for once, an actual job from the manager rather than a request from Angela. That said, despite there being no other agents, there is still Jeff the Clerk around who is holding a datapad with Malkuth's smiling and friendly face on it.

Justin Rook is wielding a large mage with a cross at the end of it with a skull wearing a crown of thorns around its forehead on it. Parker has a gun that has leathery skin with faces on it wrapped all around the weapon--and is wearing a mask that is not unlike those faces herself across her own, one that is constantly smiling quite happily.

They're here to help and aren't supervillains at all!

Of course, moments before arriving on scene, Jeff gets clobbered by stray debris and falls over, dizzied--still clutching the Malkuth tablet to his body.

"Clerk's making a sour face, captain!" Parker chirps.

"Pad's still good, so long as he isn't panicking this is fine." Captain Justin Rook of the Control team says back only to look up up up at a ... MEGAXORD.

"...A giant robot again??" He says with exhausted disbelief.

"And Ya Boy isn't here to get squished!~" Parker chirps.

Rook sighs and starts backpedaling. At least he has proper EGO gear this time, flinching as a trio of (by his understanding) magical girls appear and say witty one liners. "Be careful, you know how they can be and we can't be sure these new ones are like the rest we've seen out of universe." Rook mutters to Parker. "Might turn on us once their objective is complete, might return happily to wherever they came from. We won't know."

A ninja appears! That is a relief. That's like getting help from an Association. And of course the DEMON KING....

Is pretty familiar to Lobotomy Corp and the Control Team in particular.

Justin Rook grins at the Demon King, "Guess we're workin' together finally. Lookin' forward to seeing what you're made of."

And then he looks to Parker, "look for an opening."

And Rook rushes in, taking a relatively cautious swipe at the left leg of the MEGAXORD to get a feel for just how tough it is. He doesn't want to get squished by a mecha, especially without a Miss Kukuru present.

Malkuth, getting a view of the sky and not much else asks, "What's going on? Are we winning?" in a cheery tone.
Rowdyruff Boys "We don't have summer vacation," A forlorn student replies to Bubbles as a line evacuates nearby.

The MEGAXORD is promptly electromagnetically tornado kicked in the chest on its way up. This is not, overall, less destructive than its passive eruption from underground but it does end up getting it stuck. It looks around in what might be confusion, then looks down, and pushes itself the rest of the way up out of the hole. It has some fresh new cracks on its chest armor.

It launches missiles from its fingertips in retaliation. This is suspiciously Mecha Predator X-like, though this thing definitely has no internal organic components. It probably just uses some of the same systems.

Futaba cannot knock the Megaxord back into the hole because it has already been knocked back into the hole and extracted itself fully. It does however get palm-slapped comically, to which it responds by petulantly slapping back with its own oversized (but not nearly as stretchy) mechanical hand, as if it was a fighting game player that got salty and tried to make a point.

Kamen Rider Zi-O might be (un)surprised to learn that this thing is not water-tight even before you start using water that is intended for slicing diamond. He still elicits the expected quantity of obligatory toku sparks but there's also a lot of swearing coming from somewhere inside the machine. Somebody got soaked while transformed. That's a bad time for sure. It's probably a worse time when the cold is factored in immediately afterwards.

The Megaxord materializes a giant shield and swats at both Zi-O and Woz, trying to scoop them up and yeet them... somewhere else. Anywhere else.

"COULD YOU PLEASE NOT," A voice from inside calls, echo-y and annoyed. The loudspeakers don't seem to be working.

"Calling it a robot is kinda generous," Boomer says as he appears in a flash of blue, collapsing on the position of the LobCorp squad -- though remaining airborn -- and firing eye lasers into the Megaxord to give them a little space to breathe. "Also, are you talking about Bubbles and Buttercup? They're cool! Don't sweat it."

He has never seen one of their magical girls to know why they're so traumatized by them.

"Why's there a human face on your gun?" He wonders.

How tough is the Megaxord? It has scale, but it isn't quick. It has plating, but it's not GOOD plating. It's a little like hitting a car with a sledge-- you can tell it took credible damage and that the plating crumpled in on itself but it's still a lot for a human being to work their way through actually disabling it. Maybe not with their weapons, though.

The Megaxord tries to punt Rook in retaliation, its eye lenses flattening out in a 'really?' expression.
Powerpuff Girls Buttercup and Bubbles team up to drive the Megaxord back, but even with crackling electricity, churning gale winds, and the kinetic force of a heel going action-cut fast connects and drives the enormous robot...

Like, back down a bit? Rising back up, it fires back with a fusillade of finger rockets that seem very very familiar!

Buttercup, incensed at the school defender being the rerun of the rerun, floats backwards through a cloud of missile impacts, hammered by the series of explosions that collapse on her - and her alone, having dived into harm's way to clash with a all the explosions herself! Still generating a maelstrom of wind about her as the force pounds and cooks off her frictive and ember-filled aura, Buttercup becomes momentarily lost in a 'magnetized' storm of canned danger!

Bubbles, using Buttercup's cover, gathers further electromagnetic energy, buildings dimming and flickering nearby as she pulls power out of the grid beneath and the sky above.

Two orbs, one to each hand, collapse into one as the air-hovering Bubbles holds both over her head. Crackling-blue becomes a joined point of white light, silent like a lightningstroke that hasn't reached the ground and strobing instead the retinas of onlookers.

"Then it's time for a break - because everyone deserves time to rest -- otherwise:"

Pivoting once she hurls the crackling 'ball' out with splay-pointed fingers, and a flash of brilliance splits the sky for the Megaxord's cracked chest armor that had been further exposed by Zi-O and Woz!

"You'll burn out!!" She finishes her quippy attack one-liner, very seriously threatening the Megaxord's entire internal electrical system structure with the same!
Futaba Nuki "No vacation? Whoa... That's rough." Futaba shakes her head slowly, then turns to Bubbles with a firm fistpump. "Let's give 'em a proper break, then!"

New faces show up, too, and Futaba takes just a moment to look over at the squad of Lobotomy Corp agents with their various weapons and- "What's with that gun?" She asks of Parker, grimacing slightly at the sight. She catches a glimpse of Boomer in the process, then refocuses on the Megaxord as it starts slapping back at her.

For better or for worse, Futaba herself isn't any bigger than her usual size yet. It does make her a harder target to hit properly, but even that glancing smack still involves getting struck in her entire body, hurtling back several feet before remembering to catch herself with a series of sick backflips and a modest amount of hitsparks.*

"Hoh! We could, but we're not! Er. We're not going to not do this!" She shouts back at the voice inside the Megaxord, pauses, then clarifies while going through more handseals again as she sprints forward. Leaping into the air, she takes a cue from the Megaxord while transforming into a more suitable size for a proper giant robot fight. Instead of just turning herself into a building-sized ninja (since that'd be kind of weird), Futaba turns into a more 'robotic' looking form of herself, complete with chunky limbs, boxy shapes for almost everything, and way too many spikes and pockets that are clearly meant for aesthetic reasons rather than anything functional.

She's still got the leaf motif and gold bracer on, but everything looks kind of plasticky including her tail.

"How about YOU could not, and let us get this situation cleared up? Then the city'll be safer!" Futaba half-threatens half-suggests while stomping towards the Megaxord, raising one of those barely-bending arms to deliver a heavy chop at it from above before spinning around with not-quite-robotic agility to whip that too-stiff tail at it's center mass to try and rattle the pilot inside even more.

*It's one of her sparklers going off prematurely.
Timespace Riders      "Back at you, Justin!" Zi-O brightly offers, giving a crisp two-finger salute. A startled, buffoonish 'uwoh!' escapes him a moment later, when the shield slams into him. He quickly brings up a forearm, and a rushing current of water moves perpendicular to the force of the shield strike, blunting the blow that sends him flying. Sailing through the air alongside his retainer. Zi-O is prevented from an unsightly impact with a traffic light by a swirling ribbon of electricity, halting his momentum and allowing a graceful drop to the ground.

Woz isn't nearly so focused on recovering as he is on pressing the offense, however. At the apex of the Megaxord's swing, with the shield out and away from its center of mass, he flicks the spear so quickly that his arm is simply a red-silver blur. An icicle tears through the air so quickly that its passing makes an audible crack, headed straight for the inside of the shield--specifically, the robot's palm.

"Sorry, but Futaba's right!" calls Zi-O, charging back into the fight. Of the two in their matched-up armors, Zi-O is the slower one, with Woz getting back several seconds faster than his king. "We really need Father to stop what he's doing--and we need you and everyone else he's messed with to be yourselves again!"

Woz's superspeed bursts are heralded by slipstreams of freezing wind, every one of his aggressive, interrupting attacks with the spear causing surfaces to frost up. He runs up the Megaxord's body and kicks the joint where the shield-arm meets the torso just as Bubbles strikes its midsection with electricity, leaving a frozen-over bootprint for Zi-O to leap up and smash with a midair superpowered axe kick crackling with electricity. On his landing, the Demon King shoots Bubbles a thumbs-up.

Woz lands next to Rook, and gestures towards the Megaxord with a theatrical sweep of his free hand, helmet turned upwards. "Your weapon is quite effective, Justin Rook," he notes. "I shall aim my strikes to make it even more so." With a courteous nod of his head, he speeds over and frosts the ankle of the Megaxord for the sake of demonstration, retreating with a high-flying backflip that sets quickly melting snow to falling in his wake as he sails over Justin.
Angela "They're cool? Alright, man. I believe you." Rook says. He doesn't seem to be holding a grudge over having the police called on him. "Since we're helping, you won't call the cops on us right?" But that doesn't mean he isn't going to take some precautions.

The best benefit of an EGO weapon is that the wielder doesn't actually require formal training to use it. Of course, formal training can help but ultimately the weapon helps the user wield it properly. That being said, Penitence (the name of the weapon Rook is using) primarily has the benefit of helping provide mental resillience to assaults on one's 'sanity' (Lovecraftian style) so most of the OOMPH into his swings are coming from him being a High Grade (Low Number) Fixer.

It balances out in the end.

He brings his arms up to try and block that punt--he wants to test the limit of his Ego Armor and...

Well, the EGO armor he's using provides some resistance to a giant robot punting him. Enough that he doesn't get split in half by the robot punting him. But that doesn't mean it's a LOT of protection. He still goes flying, spinning through the air and slamming into the ground some distance away, groaning as he hits the floor.

"Ghh... Shouldn't put too much faith in a ZAYIN..." He groans.

MEANWHILE

''why is there a human face on your gun?''

"So everybody knows how the bullets are feeling!" Parker chirps merrily. She smiles at Boomer while helping Rook up with a hand. "And there are many faces on the gun!"

And are they human? Well, honestly it's a bit ambiguous.

The Powerpuff Girls, while they may be cool, utilize such tremendous power that this isn't really reassuring the Agents that they should relax around them. One of them just split the sky and unleashed a ball of electricity and are moving lightning fast. Rook in particular reflects on the Colors again. Colors do this kind of shit and even a Grade Two Fixer doesn't really stack up against a Color. Not even a Grade One can.

A bruised Rook salutes back to Zi-O. His plan is to take it easy for a moment, lett Parker pummel it from afar with bullets that probably won't hurt too much but will add up and...

Woz lands next to Rook and offers a plan.

"Well I can't afford to look lame in front of that guy." Rook says, stretching out for a moment. "Cover me, Parker."

Rook darts forward and Parker obliges by taking pot shots at the upper portion of the MEGAXORD with her pistol. It's not going to do much damage but she can fire a lot of them and be annoying, her mask smiling the whole while--

--while Rook intends to assist Woz with an ALL OUT ATTACK by jumping in after Woz unleashes that frost on that part of the MEGAXORD's leg to slam it with Penitence again.
Rowdyruff Boys "But our school is the highest performing in the state of California!" Another student claims, defensively. Yes, Bubbles, these children are burned out. Also, probably mind controlled. But even a mind controlled person can be burned out good and thoroughly, and nobody here has real spirit to go around.

The power goes out as Bubbles leeches off of it. Inside, FATHER pulls out his cell phone and immediately starts calling the power company, because that is the sort of man he is.

Also, that Megaxord isn't that well-insulated either. Probably worse than an actual car. You can hear involuntary yelps and shrieks in response to the lightning coursing through the vehicle. It also peels open more of the chest, but mostly you seem to have done damage to the pilots. It smells like burning pork.

"STOOOOOOO----oP," One of them, probably Red, demands.

The Megaxord lifts its left arm, aims at Bubbles, and fires the entire arm at her. A rocket ignites at the end of it, accelerating it rapidly. Regardless of result, the appendage does not move to re-attach afterwards.

It's all fly-by-wire so it doesn't have the remote control necessary to get it back.

//How about YOU could not//

"We can't not," Red replies. This is literally true in a way that it isn't for the assembled group. Mind control is a bitch.

There are multiple pilots inside. They are plenty rattled by the AWKWARD CHOP and ASS KICK. Thankfully, the Megaxord is every bit as awkward as what Futaba is doing right now and staggers forward-- off-balance, because it only has one arm now. The arm with a shield on it, in fact, so it's even more overweight in the wrong direction than it should be.

It stops shy of running into a Dairy Queen across the street and turns, discarding the shield and swiping a hand through the air to form BURNING SWORD, which is similar to but legally distinct from a BLAZING SWORD.

The also-topyheavy falchion-esque sword swipes towards Futaba, plenty big enough to go for a slash that would cover the whole length of her body on contact. Traditionally, this would cause her to explode, but they haven't strugglepantsed with her enough yet.

Immediately afterwards it is struck in the palm by an icicle and drops its sword.

"Okay," Red says, tinny and echo-y because he still doesn't have external speakers, "but you're going to have to beat us up. We're the gatekeepers here. No intruders, etcetera." That explains why the Fuzzies had beaten them up previously.

Further application of force to the arm isn't necessary, though it does some sort of damage, you're sure. Maybe if you just get rid of both arms it'll more-or-less end this. Somebody in Father's service could really do with having a QA department. The follow-up kick to its chest by Zi-O, however, is starting to make the torso of the Megaxord resemble the front end of a cargo truck that got hit by a train. Maybe limbs aren't really a necessary target.

"Ugh! I wanted to use this on Blossom," One of the Hyper Rangers complains, before the fingertips of the arm pour out a steady stream of freezing sleet and ice that threatens to freeze anyone caught in its path. Mostly, that's Zi-O and Woz based on the angle of it.

"Oh! Uhhh, I mean, I wasn't really thinking about it. I just did that 'cause you seemed to be stalking us in particular back then, and I knew Brick wouldn't really want to deal with it personally, so..." Boomer shrugs. So he called the cops. Hey, it's a pretty normal-person thing to do, and Boomer is the most normal of the bunch. It's also pretty whatever for him if the cops happen to shoot him by 'accident'. "Also uhhhh why do you need to know how the bullets are feeling?"
Rowdyruff Boys Parker finds that she can do ping damage just fine, even if she's not really trying. Sometimes putting any damage on the thing is what you need to inch it towards defeat. Rook's TEAM TECH with Woz however gets a lot more traction, CRUNCHING the knee into a twisted-yet-solid mass that is not very good at ambulation. Whatever grace that the MEGAXORD had is thoroughly ruined. It would also be incredibly unwise to try to kick him again, as an extra perk.

Naturally, one of the HYPER RANGERS pushes open a hatch around the back, leans over, and shoots at him with a blaster. It's a blaster because blasters aren't as illegal as, say, the actual gun that Major Man was carrying. It also, seems rather less lethal, as it is more prone to throwing around than it is to absolute murder. Produces lots of sparks for some reason. Still pretty questionable, though.
Timespace Riders      Justin gets a 'hm' of approval from Woz, following his attack. Given the way he carries himself between his bursts of speed--pausing to strike imperious poses, baiting out reprisals to interrupt with vicious counterattacks--it's not hard to see that Woz has both a high opinion of himself and high standards for others. Small gestures like his courteous nod towards Justin are thus probably meant to be much more than they seem. "Well-struck," says the retainer, evidently peaking on stuck-up male-heather flattery.

Zi-O's helmet whips around as he watches the rocket-arm fly towards Bubbles, pointedly Not reattaching. "Seriously?" he asks, bewildered, glancing around the battlefield in a moment of genuine perplexment. Then, somewhat reproachfully, as if upset on the pilots' behalf, he mutters, "Wow--Father really is a cheapskate." Lifting a gauntleted fist to his helmet and clearing his throat, he responds to Red, after the Burning Sword falls.

"Yeah, I understand." It's nothing personal, and hopefully this will be the last time.

                                  RIDE HEISABER!

Zi-O calls up a sword of his own, a straight sword with a sharp pink blade and a prominent, futuristic analog clock set into the crossguard. Hands on the wristwatch-strap hilt, he cuts through the air to conjure up crackling screens of electricity, ensuring all but the most large and hard-frozen chunks of hail from the Megaxord reach him. He is nevertheless pelted, his armor shooting up sparks as he stands his ground.

Woz takes cover behind his king, zipping back and forth with bursts of freezing speed, waiting for his opportunity to strike. When the blizzard lets up, he leaps over Zi-O, landing on the flat of his sword. With a push from the Demon King, Woz is launched towards the Megaxord, launching a hit-and-run with the spear in his hands. An impressive lateral flip allows him to slice with freezing cold through the Xord's knees, which Zi-O capitalizes on with an advancing series of hewing hip-to-shoulder slashes, each one sending crescents of pressurized water flying towards the robot's knees.
Futaba Nuki At Futaba's size, avoiding the falchion-esque slash just isn't an option. It's flaming, too, which would generally be pretty awful for her, and taking that slash head on certainly isn't her best option. Keeping all that aesthetic in mind, though, what choice does she have but to withstand the blow?

Not much, but she can at least make it work for her and look good The blockier parts of her upsized body crunch against the giant weapon as it starts sinking in, then goes right through and cuts off what looks like a big outer shell as Futaba staggers back with all the expected hitsparks that would involve. When the smoke clears, though, Futaba is still standing at that greater size, but now her torso isn't covered by a fake blocky ninja-suit!

Instead, it's just her regular clothes and some burnt parts along with a few painful-looking tears near the shoulder where the slash started. Pressing a hand against the wound, she keeps her eyes closed for a few moments while her other hand reaches into her still-blocky fanny pack/ninja-pouch.

'But our school is the highest performing in the state of California!'
'We can't not,'
'Okay, but you're going to have to beat us up. We're the gatekeepers here. No intruders, etcetera.'

"Yeah. I get it. All the crap they did to your heads... Don't you worry. You'll have your summer vacation yet, and we'll make damn sure you get a choice in what you get to do next!" From the small head-width-at-most fanny pack, Futaba draws a katana nearly as tall as she is.

"Just don't hold it against us since we gotta beat you up first. It builds character... Cast off!" Futaba shouts as she tightens her grip on the katana and twists it emphatically. It's not actually necessary, but the blade bursts into flames as if it's part of The Process. She charges right back in at the Megaxord, bringing her own weapon up for a dramatically powerful (but otherwise predictable) slash right at it.

Or rather, she's aiming for it's blade. Between that and constantly shoving her own weapon in the way of the Megaxord's, it's almost like she's trying to keep the Hyper Rangers  inside that machine tied up in a dramatic  flaming swordfight with her!
Powerpuff Girls The pair of Puffs in the air still fly low over the buildingtops, trying to keep a little altitude advantage on the Hyper Megaxord on the pure logistics of fighting a giant robot full of canned footage missiles and stolen superpowers. If they take cover and show their backs to this enemy, people will be hurt and suffer - the people close to where they live, the people they each hear every day.

So they do not.

Emerging dazed from her thick cloud of missile shrapnel that remains in her atmospheric orbit as a smoky half-alight haze while the bigger pieces fall away, Buttercup shakes her short crop of black hair off and brings her emerald eyes back on target - the abused Megaxord.

Incited, while Zi-O summons his own giant sword to crush the giant robot's knees, Buttercup's voice is like a loudspeaker. "On WHAT metric? On the backs of your tears? Greased by your breakdowns at night? When you don't have time for anything else, is that the school you want? A place to chew you up, so when your job spits you out used up, it'll be more of the same?"

Bubbles, having to focus her own breathing after firing off such an electrokinetic display, has a faint smile for her sister's condemnation. "We hear you loud and clear." She confirms, hearing the fire-by-wire launch of the rocket fist and bringing her eyes back onto the Megaxord.

Both girls, together, point shoulder to shoulder, Bubbles with her right hand and index finger extended, Buttercup with her left hand pointing.

"I know you're better than that!"
"You're the Hyper Rangers!"
"So we're saving you from your school daze!"

The rocket fist, shitty as it is, is taken full-on by both Powerpuff girls, the pair setting their shoulders and arms against the impact while Bubbles crackles with more electrical impulse and Buttercup smirks with a radioactive emerald glow.

THUD! goes the missile-fist, burning a path into the sky that... stops, incapable of carrying off both Powerpuffs more than several dozen meters. Shouting in tandem, the fist turns around -- and in a powered path of sapphire and emerald, aims to crash right back into the damaged waist of the Megaxord! It'll make any work on the ground extra easy to capitalize on!
Angela "Suggest not thinking too much about what Parker says," Rook quips to Boomer.

Parker always gives 110 percent! In her mind. But that doesn't make the EGO weapon stronger as a result. As they were amongst the first to get EGO weapons, it'll be a while before they get upgrades. Rook, fortunately, was a pretty experienced Fixer before joining Lobotomy Corp but Parker ...

"Everybody wants their feelings to be known, silly!" Parker informs Boomer happily.

Some agents just survived some shit.

"Yeah, no hard feelings or anything. Was just work for our job and we got decent info out of it. Like what cops are. They're basically just a City backed Association."

Schools ARE a thing but neither Parker nor Rook have much experience with that due to being from the Outskirts and Backstreet respectively--and the latter during a particularly rough period for that area.

Another thing that Fixers are not accustomed to as far as the multiverse goes: Guns.

That's right, as horrible as the City can be, even THEY have managed to provide a certain measure of gun control for its citizens! Well, it's not because of any benevolence, of course, it's because the Head believes (apparently) that guns make violence too impersonal and shouldn't be a common thing. Can you really enjoy violence if you can't feel your blade sinking in? This isn't to say they made it illegal of course, they're not that benevolent either--it's just that ammunition is so heavily taxed no Fixer in their right mind would use them without considerable backing. While EGO weapons can BE guns and don't rely on...typical ammunition.... a trained Fixer would still not exactly expect one to get trained on them if they weren't facing down a major syndicate or Association.

So Rook is completely off guard when a Ranger fires a gun at him! He gets caught in the side, sparks go flying as he's struck and he hits the floor.

"Shit...shit shit...! Rookie mistake, Rook...!" He hisses to himself. "Guns are more common out here, fuck...! Parker, take cover... I'm a gone....er?"

He pulls back his hand. He can feel a horrible bruise forming where he was struck but he doesn't see any blood. Maybe some burning...

Rook says, "...The fuuuuck?"

He also doesn't mind his language in front of kids because he was taught all his favorite swear words by the time he was eight. But he does stand up, bewildered.

He doesn't notice anything odd about Woz. Seems like typical Fixer behavior. He'd probably be embarrassed if he was any more flattering than this, frankly--and would probably wonder what ulterior motives he might have. As such the words hit him right in the comfort zone.

"Parker, I'm not dead."

"Hooray!!"

"Good job, Rook! You didn't die!" Malkuth says, oblivious to what is actually going on but she can still hear. Jeff is starting to stir awake and shakily point the tablet towards the tableau before them.

Rook gestures for Parker to remain patient as he takes a moment to study the situation. That one leg is pretty fucked up right now. That means it should be offbalance. Take out both of someone's legs and it won't matter if they have arms. That leaves the matter of the people inside, but it seems like they might not be acting wholly to their own will. One thing the City does allow is to let people feel the way they want to feel about things. They might gun you down if you don't pilot a super robot for them but it's rare that they'd staple your limbs to the wheel. Not that it couldn't happen but...

He shakes his head. He waits for the MegaXord to be focused on that sword fight with the ninja lady as he starts running again. "The last leg!" He shouts over to Parker, making his way to the last one. Even if he can't tear it apart as effectively as the other one, a lot more weight is being pushed on that leg for sure and that means a solid hit there might still do something.
Angela He swings the seams, even as Parker takes potshots at the upper leg, trying to send it falling flat on its back!

...Is that black haired girl glowing radioactively?

Don't think too much about it, Rook.
Rowdyruff Boys "We didn't have a magnet powerful enough to reel it back in. We were going to add a manual crank, but didn't have enough time," Hyper Ranger Red advises. This is, of course, truly pathetic.

The Megaxord is promptly cut down at the knees. It's been battered enough down there, so of course it would be. But something happens when it starts to tip forwards-- fire erupts from those portions of the appendages, the mechanical parts replaced by inky black limbs that don't really have a lot of physical substance. Except that they radiate heat.

Kicking away the debris clinging to the strange limbs, fiery emanations ripple forth towards those who are underfoot or near enough.

"UHHHHH," Hyper Ranger Red starts. This is not a part of the script.

"We're not actually high school students," Hyper Ranger Green clarifies, irritably.

Unfortunately the lack of a sword to hand is a problem for having a sword fight, so Futaba's charge just rakes her blade across the Megaxord's devastated torso, cleaving it partway open. Inky blackness begins to spill out there, too-- along with a steady red pulse, like a heart. The Megaxord might be fatally wounded, but something is pushing this fight into one more phase than it should have.

The BURNING SWORD that had plummeted to the ground flips up into the air and comes at Futaba's back abruptly.

The defensive student on the ground calls up at Buttercup, "Yeah, now you're getting it!"

The Megaxord's rocket fist is returned to it, slamming into its waist and cracking it open there too. Inky black tendrils leak out of the socket it once sat in and pulls it back, one of the LEAST damaged portions of its body now. There are further alarmed 'UHHHHHHHHHHH!!!'s from inside.

It pulls its chest the rest of the way open to expose a burning core that really shouldn't physically fit in there and fire beams of scorching flame across the battlefield.
Rowdyruff Boys "Wait, is that gun a person?" Boomer asks, confused, before he's told to take what Parker says with a grain of salt. He swoops in behind Rook to make sure he's okay, and adds to his confusion, "Yeah, mad science blasters are a lot more common here. It's 'cause it's more like punching somebody hard than putting a piece of lead in them. A lot more survivable. Also I think these guys are supposed to be family-friendly, or something?"

The bad news is that the original legs are gone. The good news is that the burny inky black legs are more along the lines of something that Rook would be fighting and the "HP Bar" damage is a lot more tangible, swinging into it is a lot more like swinging into something sort-of-made-of-meat. It caves in in a manner that is not exactly grotesque but still feels... STRANGE as it collapses inward, exposing an interior of molten 'blood' and stone-like bone structure. It doesn't really have the texture or gruesomeness of true biology, though. It's more like it looks that way because somebody would expect it to look kinda like that.

Unfortunately, the weird molten blood IS as hot as you would expect it to be and starts spilling out onto the ground. Best get away from it.
Angela Mad Science Blasters. Think of them as EGO weapons, Rook thinks, not neccessarily behaving the rules of conventional firearms. Indeed, Parker's gun does sort of feel like a Mad Science gun even if it's not shooting energy bolts. He allows himself a bit of a smirk when he takes his strike only for the old legs to have replaced themselves with something burning inkiness that doesn't seem technological in origin at all. Indeed, this is a lot more like the Abnormalities Rook is accustomed to facing. He feels like he hits hard. But then lava starts pouring out and Penitence is... kind of wedged in there. He pulls it free--

--too slowly. The molten lava blood burns through his left leg. A censor bar helpfully slides into frame to protect our viewers (and your narrator!) from having to see just what condition it is.

Parker reaches out and pulls Rook free before he is utterly subsumed by molten blood but the Captain is out cold. He is still fundamentally human and he's already taken plenty of hits. That was just the last bit to knock him over the edge.

"There was a face... Hidden inside the face." Parker whispers. "Oh my this cutie was hiding inside its shell all along!!"

Yeah it's best to not think too much about what Parker has to say. Nevertheless, she keeps firing.

Intuitively, she's aiming for the core with that peashooter of hers while backpedaling away from the molten hot blood. The Agents aren't going to be able to help much longer.

Jeff draws out his sidearm. It only has one bullet. He knows what to do if Parker goes down too. It may be up to THE POWERPUFF GIRLS and friends to keep this a family friendly show!

"Um. Miss Powerpuff Girls?" Malkuth says, though the words may be unheard over the din of battle. "If you cool down the core, the machine might be unable to operate and let you rescue the hostages?"

She has been taking notes but it's all theory.
Futaba Nuki The swordfight Futaba was aiming for turns out to be not much of a swordfight at all. Sure, there's a direct hit, but she was hoping for a proper clash! Still, if it means stopping the Megaxord faster, she can't complain that much. What comes next with the black limbs and all that stuff spilling out of it is far more unexpected, though, and she steps back briefly while gawking at the gunk coming out of the machine.

Those noises coming from Hyper Ranger Red is also rather disconcerting. "Uh... Red guy? You okay in there?" There's actual concern in her voice as she reaches for the ominous opening in the Megaxord's torso, leaning forward to try and pry it open, to see if those inside need a hand...

And then she gets a sword right through her back. The rest of that chunky robot-plasticky shell comes right off Futaba as she howls in pain, arms going back towards it instinctively before her survival instincts actually kick in so that wound doesn't become an unmanageable one. At first, it looks like Futaba's melting as she wraps herself around the BURNING SWORD, then splits away from it entirely as a mass of bubbling liquid.

"When could you do that...? Gah. Of course you could do that! Darn... Bad guy coded weapons!" As Futaba reforms into herself (but big), she's visibly straining to hold it together in the more literal sense. Although the wound is mostly hidden by that reformed jacket, it's still lingering and burning her after the fact, and she even has to form an extra set of legs to keep herself standing while gripping her flaming katana tightly in both hands.

"Or maybe it's just that... Whatever the heck that is. That's not something that's normally in you guys, is it?" Futaba forces herself to transform again as she sees that molten gunk coming out of the thing that no longer really resembles the Megaxord, taking to the sky this time with a pair of huge wings.  "Hold on! We'll get you outta that thing!"

Before she can dive back in to make good on that promise, though... Something else happens!
Timespace Riders      Zi-O recoils in shock from the black tendrils, momentarily stunned. "That looks like...! It's got to be Father," he calls to Futaba. It reminds him too much of the shadowy figure he saw, looking right at him, when he traveled to the past, to be anything else.

Landing after his combination assault with Zi-O, Woz wheels around, glancing briefly at the tablet from which Malkuth observes. He utters a 'hmh,' tapping a snowflake icon on the touchscreen beneath the tip of his spear.

                                   ICE-SICKLE!

The blade transforms, turning into a two-pronged implement with a sickle blade at one end of the head, and a pointed snowflake at the other. It seems he's going to take her advice, at least, even if she'd meant it for the Puffs. As flames erupt from the ground, Woz is caught out mid-supersprint towards the core, bracing his arms to shield himself from the impact but still clearly struck dead on.

Zi-O, too, tries to avoid it with a sweep of his sword, but the watery crescent is unable to turn aside the flames, which boil through and knock him flat on his back. Both Riders take a moment to get back to their feet, chests heaving with exertion. They share a brief, knowing glance, then...

"Father... it doesn't matter how many thralls and cheap junkpiles you throw at us! Real devotion, real determination... can't be bought or forced! Hold on, Rangers!!" With a rallying war-cry, Zi-O lifts his sword high, then turns the hands on the clock at its crossguard. Woz, standing steadfast beside him, rapidly swipes his armored finger across the touchscreen on his polearm.

                                  HEY! BUBBLES!

A blue hologram of a trio of bubbles sprouts from Zi-O's sword, and as he swings it in a circle overhead, a waterspout forms above him.

                             BLOSSOM STRIKE C'MON?!

Woz makes a two-handed underhand swing with his polearm, adding a howling blizzard to Zi-O's waterspout, and sending the elemental vortex racing towards the Megaxord. Freezing water pulls at limbs and hurls fist-sized chunks of hail at the robot, as both Riders concentrate their energy. Zi-O's right leg and Woz's left are wreathed in erratic, dancing electricity and densely clinging frost, as they both leap into the air. First, onto the spinning sign of the nearby fast-food and ice-cream place, then above the Megaxord.

King and retainer descend, cutting through the vortex with high-speed, high-impact kicks, their impact drawing all of the water and ice up to form a massive icicle to pin the Megaxord by its new, inky black tendrils. Electricity briefly crackles over it before--

                              BUBBLES TIME BREAK!

                               BLOSSOM EXPLOSION!

Both Riders push clean through to the other side, the massive icicle exploding violently from within the black, roiling mass.
Powerpuff Girls "Well right now? You represent a school! So hello, guardians of children! We have *complaints*!"

Pulling back after they hurl their flying fist, the sapphire and emerald puff watch the toppling Megaxord and stunned at the phase-change-in parts. "No." Buttercup says, her smouldering smoke-aura flaring around her boiling, rebellious anger. "I don't get it at all. Not one bit."

The radioactive-green puff resumes corkscrewing about, forming a suddenly-alighting pyronado of captured molten blood and her own incendiary temper and missile-embers, absorbing much of the force once again in a power-to-power clash. Within, searing magma sizzles like scalding soup on the Puff's body, and she's far, far too mad to care, the pain only feeding into a loop of her tangible and palpable displeasure.

Behind the tornado, Bubbles has to dodge a molten rain of blood as tentacles lash out at her, backstepping 'down' in the air and coming to a hard-air-stop near Rook.

"Look out!" She calls, throwing her arms up as a blue bubble-barrier forms above her outstretched arms and keeps Rook and the sapphire Puff safe from a crashing tentacle-limb. Flashing the Agent a quick smile and a fair-handed wave, the twintailed blond lets her barrier fade and leaps into the air. Her path back towards the mecha traced in a line of blue, she immediately vectors towards the source if only to spare Rook and Parker on the ground more attention than they already got!

It's looking a little grim, both Powerpuffs having to clash without making headway...

But they're not the only Powerpuff Girls.

Coming down from above and breaching through a passing puffy cloud with a piercing hole and a wispy curl of shifted white around the place where a bolt of scarlet fell down through. Driving down through the tentacle-spitting mass at the tip of the Megaxord's returned fist-wrist all the way to the street before landing in a shockwave-causing pink crater, then back into the air at a new angle is the tell-tale SKRR! of Blossom. She comes to an air-halt besides the wrapping-up tornado of Buttercup and the backing-up Bubbles.

"Ready to wrap this up, girls?"
"What took you so long?!"
"I was getting you you warrant with the new Attorney General."
"The new who?"
Powerpuff Girls A SHOOM! of yellow led with a blue-white jetwash arrives, the black-and-gold armor and tiara of Princess Morbucks joining the aerial tri-up to make the four points of a diamond.
"I didn't think our first real team-up would be against the Hyper Rangers." She admits, flush faced and a little giddy, but also seasoned enough at the powered combat game to have her eyes on the Hyper Megaxord and the problem.

Blossom smiles. "It's not the first time, Princess." She corrects. The yellow smiles, a little, not giddy but very honest -- because the red is right.

All together, centered around Attorney General Princess Morbucks, the yellow declares towards the Megaxord: "Let it be known - on this day I issue an immediate injunction against this educational establishment by the powers vested in me by the State of California! Its guardianship over the students is hereby immediately terminated. Which means you're all being held unlawfully."

The Powerpuff Girls (ft. Fourth) stance in the air, Princess at the low-center, Blossom behind and above, Bubbles at the right, Buttercup to the left. Malkuth's suggestion, even all the way on the ground, reaches the red's ears - because she has super hearing! And she's always listening for someone asking her for help.

"Bubbles, Buttercup, run interference, don't let it recover. Princess, blast it as hard as you can. I'll freeze the core."

"Right!" "Got it."

Splitting up in a quartet of colors, Buttercup and Bubbles loop back down to pummel and colorfully circle the Megaxord to punch, kick, and whallop it back into submission and tentacle-controlled. Blossom spends her time entirely focused on diving in at opportune moments to apply precision freeze breath.

Princess bids skyward and raises her finger, bellowing one phrase. "Satellite Power!!!" After she does, a second beam breaks through the same cloud the red Puff had fallen before, this one a solar gold. Crashing entirely onto the gleaming golden armor of Princess Morbucks, extra plates - shoulder, arm, chest, and leg - form out of burning energy, her trailing ginger cloud of hair filling with light as her crown fully encloses her head with a black armor and a golden face-plate with two pink eyeslits. Two extra copies appear as heat mirages, all three aiming their pink heart-gem and palm-set plasma channels at the Corrupted Megaxord, firing a golden barrage of light into the tentacles from the sky!

And there's one more piece, something just because Futaba is there: Princess's 'primary' armor, and not one of the Satellite Armor's copies, turns to look at the flying tanuki princess. "Hey, girlie. You're looking pretty beat up. You can't lose now -- you'd make me look bad. And seeing as that helpless power armor moron keeps trying to one up me, I won't let him do it in my own city." Relenting in the barrage with a sudden end to the aerial lightshow, Princess' armor disengages, and it and the copies transfer over to Futaba! A favor returned. Some girls couldn't let one go even for a short while.

"He's not the only one who can design remote assist units - and you both gave me some ideas!"
Futaba Nuki "Is /that/ what Father looks like? He's so... What?!" Futaba really doesn't have the right words forming in her head at Zi-O's revelation, but there's a swell in her chest when she hears him and the agents from Lobotomy Corp on roughly the same page. She can even hear the Powerpuff Girls getting in on it, but it's that proclamation from the new Attorney General that gets both a look of a confusion and a hearty chuckle in rapid succession.

"Me? Beat up? Come on, I could take way more than this!" Futaba boasts in good spirits despite visibly straining not to let that back wound bother her too much. Raising an eyebrow at Princess' sudden stoppage, she glances around rapidly as those Satellite Armors surround her, and then she finally figures it out.

"..A combination, eh? Oh, heck yeah. This'll be perfect on the top page tomorrow." Letting out another bright laugh, Futaba clears her throat to hold back a brief wince as she takes that primary armor on herself. With Princess' newfound energy coursing through her, she grips the flaming katana in both hands and raises it skywards as she starts drawing in power from the the copies.

"Maybe a spear? Nah... Sword's good. Classic, flashy... Yeah, this'll work." Indeed, the katana grows in length, extending further outwards until it's far longer than Futaba herself even with her tail included. "This much heat should be more than enough to take care of whatever that Father guy is doing to 'em... Good thinking, Princess!" Flashing Princess one of her enthusiastic grins, Futaba dives in after Zi-O and Woz, following up on their explosive descending kicks and the Powerpuff Girls' barrage with her own weapon aimed right at the Megaxord's core.

"Incoming! Watch your heads, Rangers!" After issuing that warning to the Powerpuffs, Futaba brings her legs up and plants the katana on the soles of her boots, then drives that weapon forward with a mighty solar and gravity powered dropkick aimed at forcing all that power into a single point marked by Parker's shots.
Rowdyruff Boys Boomer looks very alarmed at what happens to Rook, and if not for the fact that he's pulled out quickly to begin with, probably would've been right on that. As these things go, he's a pretty benign 'magical boy'. It's probably still safest to be on-edge around these guys though. Even though he's not really needed for rescue, he does plunge in and push the Megaxord's leg back so that it isn't spewing lava-blood anywhere near the others.

"You got this, or does one of us need to bolt with him to the hospital?" He asks, ignoring Parker's whispering.

"They're not actually hostages," Brick says, emerging from the school which as is convention has not actually been stepped on. He adjusts his ball cap, looking up at the now-further-twisted Megaxord. "Unless you mean those guys. I guess they're hostages. Sort of. Might be right about the core thing, though. No point in my attacking it, then."

The evacuation of the school has gone fine, except for that one bootlick student hanging around to defend the whole thing. Townsville is pretty used to this sort of thing.

Parker has the right idea, though. Shooting the CORE does cause it to cool down measurably, bit by bit-- and she shoots it enough to cool it down a lot. The molten blood coming out of the crushed leg ceases to glow.
Rowdyruff Boys "Ha! You think you can talk to ME about bonds, you little pissant? Look at you!" The voice of FATHER slurs. He sounds... drunk? Definitely drunk. You can practically smell the whiskey on his breath. "You, the fated 'King of the World'! What kind of bozo wakes up one morning with the idea to become King with FRIENDSHIP and DETERMINATION? Y-yoooou..."

You can practically hear the stagger. None of this is originating from the Megaxord, though. You're not sure where it's coming from.

"Can't even get your buddy from the future to totally buy in and HE WAS ALREADY BOUGHT IN! How pathetic is that?!" FATHER is not demanding an answer. That it is pathetic is self-evident to him.
Rowdyruff Boys The great electricity-wreathed icicle plunges down into and through the chest of the Megaxord, missing the core by inches but certainly pinning it in place. The Hyper Rangers have gone silent, though there is no indication of anyone dead in there. You're pretty sure the cockpits are located in the heads of the different Xords, or... something. They might have been pocket dimensioned at some point.
Rowdyruff Boys "And your SERVANT..." The sound of ice rattling against glass clinks through the air. FATHER laughs. "Your SERVANT is a time-traveling simp! What the hell is that about? How bad do you h-haaaave to be that he's here with you now and not there with you then?"
Rowdyruff Boys There is not much the Megaxord can do against the combined onslaught, while pinned to the ground, its heat spinning down. It is simply beaten while it's down, any effort it might have made to rise again thwarted, and as it does so some Yellow Girl powers up on top of it and fires on it. There is nothing it can do but be scorched and evaporated, though it DOES begin to raise its temperature-- a little. This 'strength' would be more of a problem in a prolonged fight, but it's not an actual problem now.

As it happens, Morbucks came at just the right time.

Futaba deals the finishing blow, plunging a katana into the core. It cracks, and then breaks, evaporating into motes of light.

"You little bit---" FATHER begins, but his presence withdraws, and the surroundings seem to lighten.

The bootlick girl on the ground blinks, looking around.

"Why am I at that creepy boarding school?" She wonders.
Timespace Riders      Had this fight been forced even a week ago, Father's rant, pathetic or not, would be absolutely lethal to Zi-O and Woz. But--coming off of well-given advice from two of the most emotionally intelligent people they know, and a heap of encouragement besides, his slurred diatribe bounces off of them soundly, in the heat of battle. The king thinks fondly of his retainer, and fondly of himself. Woz is more ready than ever before to believe in his king, whatever kind of king he'll be.

They are, however, still the same people, in many other ways. Namely, Zi-O shields his eyes from the dissipating motes, waiting until they disperse to run over and check on the unwilling pilots.

And Woz aims a laser-targeted parting shot, helmet held high.

"Farewell for now, Father," he calls to the now much more quiet school campus. With arms thrown wide in theatric relish, "You will *never* have the strength of spirit to 'simp' as fervently as I. Savor the despair you find, at the bottom of your bottle."

Both Riders remove the watches from their belts. In pink and green waves, their respective armors disappear. Left standing, and quite in need of a breather, are Sougo Tokiwa and Woz.

Sougo kneels by the dissipated Megaxord, checking in on the Rangers.

"Excellent, my Demon King," says Woz, putting on his usual air of effortless disregard despite the sweat on his brow, the heaving of his chest, and the slight disheveling of his hair. He's got to be dying in that apocalyptic longcoat of his. Even if he is, the retainer is evidently feeling well enough to offer encouragement--a first, in all their voyages to Townsville.

"Thanks, Woz," beams Sougo, looking over his shoulder. His pastel pink button-up is stuck to his chest, and his auburn hair is a bit toussled from the fight. "Are you guys okay?" he asks, a little obviously breathless.
Rowdyruff Boys The Hyper Rangers are unconscious inside their Xords, which have powered down insofar as they were properly powered at all. They don't seem endangered, although the SOP for things like this is to get them to a hospital.

Emergency services will probably be arriving shortly.

"We'll erase the seal concealing the next facility shortly," Brick says, folding his arms over his chest. His eyes flick towards the LobCorp team when it's asked if people are okay. The question wasn't aimed at them, but he definitely noticed the burning flesh smell. "Surprised you came back." Not displeased, from the sounds of things.

"I dunno. They look into weird shit. This is pretty weird-shit-central," Boomer muses aloud.
Futaba Nuki That grimy voice has to be... Actually, Futaba's not completely certain it's that Father person that's been mentioned several times already, but it's easy enough to guess based on what she's heard before and what she's hearing now. Still balancing precariously on the hilt of her katana, she goes through a few not-actually-necessary handseals, disperses the flames from her weapon, then shrinks it and herself back down to their normal size before slipping it back into her pouch.

"They're... Uh. They're done now. Everyone okay?" She asks in between heavy pants as she looks around, first at her allies to confirm that everyone's mostly in one piece, then for some indication of the Hyper Rangers' existence. Seeing Sougo checking in on them, she lets out a relieved sigh, then tips over and falls right on her back with a heavy thump and a burst of smoke.

When the smoke clears, there's a dog/raccoon-like creature on the ground where Futaba was, lying on its back and just scratching its belly lazily while hanging out. "I'm good, Mister Sougo. That was some fight, huh? We got some big hits, rescued host..."

Futaba pauses, then strokes her chin. She might not realize she's in that form yet. "Were they hostages? Anyway. We had a big cool teamup, too, so that'll definitely look good once the reports start coming out on all the big channels." She laughs, then rolls onto her side. "You think everyone back home'll see what we pulled off, too?"
Powerpuff Girls After the barrage, there's not terribly much for Buttercup and Bubbles to do, keeping control of the sides until Futaba finally finishes divekicking the Megaxord to ~~completely annihlated~~ disabled for at least an episode, until it's had nonspecific repairs in a bunker somewhere.

The Powerpuffs aren't planning to leave Father a hidden underground base for a captured and brainwashed ranger team in either case.

Princess, having transferred over her over-armor to Futaba, lands in her 'base' powered armor form - black arm-gloves and thighboots, with golden segments around the palms and fingers, and a dedicated golden 'boot' at the base of the heel that actually provides the jet propulsion. A skirt of bumblebee gold-yellow is sashed with a black belt about her waist, and everything has a metallic sheen to it, especially the golden power crown at her brow holding back her long pouf of ginger-red hair.

Blossom lands after, the least winded and thus the most ready to help -- even if everyone generally seems okay, and the call had already gone out several times. "I think this one went quite well, thanks to everyone." She praises lightly-genuine, making sure to smile at the Lobotomy Corp employees. "I'm Blossom, this is-" "Princess!" "-and my sisters Buttercup and Bubbles are about. Thank you for helping our city."

Princess leans over Futaba, grinning across her Resting Rich Face. "Hey, girlie. You said you were still good, right?" She offers a gloved hand down. "They'll see. I don't do anything without cameras."
Angela "A hospital? Haha we can't afford that!" Parker is briefly sobered up by the realities and horrors of profit-based medical care. "Luckily we have medical care back at Lobotomy Corp! They might even be able to save his leg instead of replacing it!"

Rook groans but doesn't wake up immediately.

Jeff stands himself up and starts edging back towards Parker.

"Well well well," Malkuth says. "It seems like it'll be 'Father' who is getting suspended from school, thanks to the Powerpuff Girls!" Malkuth says. "And of course all your hard work. Please bring Rook back as soon as you can." She sadly doesn't know who the mysterious ninja is. "And hey--you're OK, Boomer!"

She gives him a thumbsup. Complimenting capable workers is an important part of Control's job! It's important to support others until they can no longer take it, and then you can give them their last bit of support.

Malkuth actually elects to take over for communication since the alternative is letting Jeff do it (who is presently being relieved he didn't have to shoot himself in the head) or Parker (who would compliment their faces and ask where they got them). In fact, Parker's about to speak on the former.

"And Princess too, of course." Malkuth doesn't think twice about using the moniker. "It's nice to meet you! I felt a little bad after--" .... Maybe don't mention the Control Team was thrown in jail for openly carrying weapons. "It's our pleasure! Thank you for being so welcoming!"

"I like your faces--" Parker manages. "Where did you get--"

"But we should get back for Rook's sake, so we'll see you later!"
Futaba Nuki Another belly rub, another yawn, and then Futaba finally remembers something once Blossom brings it up. "Oh yeah. My name's Futaba, and I'm a ninja. Good to meet you all!" She calls out in greeting to the folks from Lobotomy Corp, raising a short limb in greeting. She's still not feeling all that ready to get up yet, but when Princess comes over to offer her assistance...

Well. She can't stay lying down forever. It'd look bad! "Of course I am! It'll take way more than that to-" As she speaks, she reaches for the offered hand, and only then does she realize that she's come out of her usual ninja-y transformation. She scrambles briefly to get back up with Princess' aid (easy enough, considering the size difference) and get that transformation back on.

"Phew... Close one. Oh, yeah, good point. You didn't happen to get any of that before...?" Futaba gestures at the spot she was laying down at, somehow looking more self-conscious about that than anything else. She doesn't seem to realize her hair is a deep brown right now instead of her usual orange, either.
Rowdyruff Boys "Seems like he ran away quietly, though... I don't like it when they do that," Boomer admits, concerning Father. "And uh, thanks!" It doesn't seem to occur to him to reciprocate the sentiment, but he is too good-natured to not do so, even if it isn't verbalized.

//I like your faces--//

"Thanks, I was born with it." Boomer says, before Parker can finish.

"Don't. Never apologize for falling down, literally or metaphorically. The press will just get more interested in your agitation," Brick warns Futaba. He checks his watch, then turns to Blossom. "Looks like there's plenty of time left in the day. Let's find something to do before it's gone and people feel at liberty again."

"Brick, the sigil thing--"

"Right." Brick turns his head, staring intently for a long moment. The girls, at least, are liable to be able to tell he's using x-ray vision to check if anybody is in there. Once it's clear they aren't, he vaporizes the school with a couple of pulses of his eye lasers.

There is a momentary sizzle in the air as something on the plot sizzles, and then there is a crack-- like a soda can opening-- before a red-tinted ghostly presence spirals up into the sky and vanishes.
Timespace Riders      "Eh? Futaba??" says Sougo, looking up from the Rangers, once he can see that there's nothing egregious going on. There's a look of utter confusion on his face, until she changes back. "Yeah. They were hostages," says Sougo with certainty, nodding to the now-back-in-her-right-mind 'student' nearby.

Over the wail of distantly approaching sirens, he stands up and dusts himself off. "Goodbye, Parker! Goodbye, Malkuth! Goodbye, Jeff! Please make sure they take good care of Justin!" He waves enthusiastically at them as they leave, adding, "And let me know as soon as it's okay for him to have visitors!"

Turning to face Blossom and Princess, he marches up with a wide smile on his face. "Thanks again for the advice, Blossom. And, Princess--your help has really come in handy twice now. I'm glad Townsville can count on you!"

Woz clears his throat, and offers a suggestion to Brick, following the vaporization of the school. There is plenty of time left in the day, as he'd noted, and, "Before our arrival, my Demon King mentioned a desire for a frozen treat. He would welcome your presence, naturally." A slow, deliberate sweep of his hand towards the slowly rotating sign. Sougo beams puppy-dog eyes at Brick.
Angela "Come by whenever you'd like, Demon King!" Malkuth chirps cheerfully. "We'll make time!"
Rowdyruff Boys Brick glances at the ice cream shop. It's not the first time he's been there. It wouldn't even be the hundredth. The concept of a reasonable place to visit for a date has always been fluid for them, and so, places of quality or with specific niche interests within them that are unavailable elsewhere draw themselves to center stage. Carmela Ice Cream is local, small-batch, and has a lot of seasonal-only flavors. The only particular regret he would have about visiting today is that pomegranate is out of season.

"I don't mind, if Blossom doesn't," he says, simply.

"Hey, you NEVER break Saturday rules for US!"

"Your impositions are not time-limited."

Boomer makes a very sour noise at this and meanders over near Bubbles to sulk. But there's also convenient ice cream over there, and it's hard to be too mad while that's on the table.
Powerpuff Girls Bubbles finishes her lazy loop and lands near Boomer, worse off than either Princess or Blossom but doing a lot better than the shredded Buttercup, who doesn't return until she can complete the long (several whole animation frames!) trip home and back to replace her top to something a bit less burned off of her. In a fresh green shirt simply worn over the soot, Buttercup hangs back, giving Princess a few dirty but not ill-natured looks.

Princess contnues to preen. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Princess Morbucks of the Morbucks family, and I'm currently the acting Attorney General of townsville until I return the usual AG's hat. So don't worry!" The rich ginger winks at Malkuth. "Nobody will prosecute cooperative folks while I'm in charge."

She makes the corruption sound so pleasant!

Futaba asks a question she already knows the answer to, but Princess is more than happy to answer life's little steppies. "Oh don't worry girlie. I got every moment. Very candid." She teases.

Blossom, late to enter and glory-seizing, stands besides Brick, considering fully the idea of bending a rule - temporarily - to show a little favor to the new friends that had helped out. Brick, clearly, was alright with it. He had said as much, in his own way.

"Well, since the day was saved thanks to everyone, I suppose we could get ice cream as a group." Blossom cedes, and can't quite hide her smile.

The heart at the end of this episode is a little bit bigger, to accommodate everyone.
